Moving from one spot in Tokyo to another was something that it seemed he would have to get used to. William hadn’t been told during his first week as a police officer in the Capital of Japan that as a newbie he was going to be stuck on patrol duty. Of course he expected as much so that realization wasn’t a major blow, what was a big surprise was the fact that he would be switched to a different section of Tokyo every week for the foreseeable future. It wasn’t a bad idea William understood that as a fresh recruit he would need to familiarize himself with the city before he could be given free reign over it.
Last week he had been on a small section of the streets that hadn’t really amounted to much besides boredom. This week he was positioned in a much smaller location that in all honestly was basically just a train station stop. Sure he had to keep walking to the street outside but beyond a mere hundred feet in each direction there really wasn’t anything else he could do as someone else had authority over any further. This was both better and worse at the same time. He had less area to move through and couldn’t really stop at any sort of store for a drink or snack. At the same time though he had already come across something more interesting than last week.
Making sure that he stood tall which was still attracting the eyes of almost anyone that walked near him as he dwarfed over the majority. He had to look official and professional especially as a foreigner. Everything right now though looked fine as another train arrived at the station and dozens of citizens moved off the hunk of metal like a wave splashing across a beach. From the looks of things he didn’t see anyone that appeared similar to what had happened two days prior and that was good.
