A Demon in Tokyo?!

“Nope, apparently I was quite blind to what actually existed in the world around me.” Answering before William continued to speak about how lucky Jeff was. “I sadly know you’re not wrong, there are a lot of beings in the pit with enough power to simply breath outward and shred me to pieces, let alone those who must be alive, working on their abilities for years.” Talking to William Jeff would then notice the theft before finally mentioning it to William on the off hand. This would cause William to immediately bolt to life as he chased the man down.



The moment William went into action, Jeff tried to keep close to his right side pushing a few bystanders out of the way while simultaneously avoiding to bump over any children or parent holding a child. Watching as he tackled the man to the ground Jeff would stand on the right side of William, listening to him call reinforcements to take the thief away. When William noticed Jeff next to him, Jeff would begin to say “You know, this guy is likely to get out of jail relatively quickly, after which he will probably continue his life of crime, more than likely getting worse as he gets away with more things.”



Finishing this question Jeff would stand straight and continue on, “I fully understand that your way won’t even consider the option that I am about to propose, but I shall continue anyway, you should just take him to a back alley with now one around and end him, after all, that's the only real way of stopping crime in the world. If you did though, you would have to be smart about it, so, what do ya say? Feel like taking the trash out for good?”

Handling the small fry thief was something that William didn’t even need to really think about as it came natural for him especially after all the training he had gone through. Handing him off to the other officer that thankfully had gotten here swiftly. William was just thankful that no one had gotten hurt although the best thing was that this Sinner had kept his word and stayed close by. Although he couldn’t see any sort of indication from this Sinner, William just had the feeling that he knew what this Sinner was about to start going off about.

“Yeah, yeah I know you’re justification for it. Not going to fly though. As logical as it may be as a human I’ve got to believe that at least some of the idiots can turn their lives around for the better.” William brushed off the remarks of the Sinner knowing that what he suggested wasn’t outside the realm of reason. It just happened to be the height of extreme and something that wouldn’t just ruin his life as a normal human, but would go against his own code. Still William made no real counter to the Sinner simply due to the fact that what he was saying was to be expected from someone that called the pit home.

“How did you manage to get out of the pit? You’re not powerful so forcing yourself out isn’t possible. Did you follow something worse?” William was curious now about such a subject. The fact that the Sinner didn’t run away or try to attack someone meant that he likely wasn’t going to do it. If he was going to attack he had more than enough chances while William had turned his back. Now though he couldn’t help himself from worrying about something being a real threat in the area.

“Nah, you got nothing to worry about, while I might not be powerful enough to get out on my own, those who can, usually prefer to stay their, after all they get to torture the weak there. The one that opened it for me did it just to give me a taste of freedom, probably decided to hunt me down when I get dragged back, too bad for him I don’t plan on letting them get their way. The moment I’m dragged back I plan on hiding and finding my own way of getting out on my own.” Casually speaking to William at this moment, knowing at this point he doesn’t have too much time left.



“Yeah, once you live down below for so long, you begin to understand how other locals tend to act, especially thoughts who were born there.” Following William at this point, when they stop moving he will find a spot to lean against a hard surface whether it be a wall or a light post. Getting comfortable Jeff would look around at the few remaining people still out and about, watching as some of them hold their kids hands and guide them through the area, keeping their grip as to not lose their children. If only I had parents who were actually kind to me, but if I did then I would never have learned how awful people are, selfish usually, but most only putting up a façade while around others, as if to say I’m better than you. I trust my judgement of character and I honestly think the man in front of me might be one of the very few adults that actually doesn’t put up an act, instead actually does what they believe is right for everyone, letting out a sigh with this thought.



“So, do you usually see many spirits? Or is it more uncommon then I think it is?” Curious as to if there are many non-sinners out and about, maybe even more sinners escaped then he believed. Jeff would stay leaning against whatever he is against and listen to William speak. Occasionally his eyes would wander as he listened, watching some children, hoping they end up growing up right and stay pure, if not at least become good people at heart and action.

The bit of information that there were entities down in the pit that could just let others out was unsettling. William wasn’t sure what he or anyone else for that matter could do about something like that. He knew that the population of Hell rarely caused issues in the human world yet all the same if they could release even a portion of the Damned then everyone was doomed. His father had done a good job teaching him everything they knew about the spiritual realms and Hell was the worst possible place not just to end up, but also stand against. Now all William could hope was that the citizens of Hell stayed content to play with one another for all eternity.

“Just don’t cause issues coming back through if you actually end up finding a way. Last thing anyone needs is for a group of Demons to get free and reduce an entire city to ash.” It seemed that this Hell spawn wanted to relax a bit now leaning against the wall. William could understand a bit when he thought about it for a moment. If all this guy had to do while down in the pit was stay hidden and hope that he wasn’t found. If that was the case then it truly would be Hell without ever having a moment of calm. Still though he had to remain centered in his own beliefs. He had ended up in Hell due to his actions against those that didn’t deserve to die even if there was some reason to his supposed actions.

“It depends on where you are. Certain countries, cities, even towns drawn in more spiritual activity. Sometimes the areas stay like that for centuries without changing and other times certain areas just shift and become either bigger beacons or lose all draw to the spiritual worlds. Here in Japan, Tokyo gets a decent amount, but nowhere near the largest activity on the planet. As for there being a lot of spirits well. I come across one at least once a week that’s not from a recently deceased human.” William was certain that the time left for this Sinner was nearing its end which meant that he wouldn’t have to keep an eye open at all times pretty soon.

“Ah, good to know, so it is more common than I thought it was, well in any case it won’t matter for much longer, not this trip outside anyways.” Leaning his head back in order to look up at the sky, Jeff see’s no stars in the night above. “This is one reason I dislike the city so much, you can’t even see the stars because of the stupid lights flooding the sky.” That was the only thing that made him happy during his childhood, he might have been locked in the basement for most of the day, even whipped every other hour, but at least he had a window to look up at the stars above when night came around, the only thing that brought peace to his mind.



Looking back at William, “The names Jeff by the way, figure I’d tell you since I owe you two favors, don’t know how you will cash them in, but I got a feeling i’ll know when you need to.” Stretching his arms out he will let his chains dangle a little more into view, after all, at this point there’s no hiding it. “I’ll admit, for an adult, you managed to do pretty good, for that reason I’ll trust you some, aaaand I’ll try to not cause too much trouble for ya, at least, not if they aren’t asking for it."


Jeff would then begin to slide down the wall into a sitting position, relaxing a little more before he was dragged back. “I can feel my time is almost up, so don’t worry about me doin somethin now, right now I just wanna relax, at least for the little amount of time I have left.” Ugh, when I get back there, I will put all my focus into getting stronger and escaping. Closing his eyes he will listen to the surrounding city noises, the noise’s that aren’t calming in any sense, Seriously? How do people sleep peacefully around here?

“Definitely one of the aspects of urban life that isn’t a pleasant addition.” William remarked about the inability to perceive the stars in the night sky. He really had to question how long this Sinner had been in the depths of the pit. Almost everything that he had read about such a place details how the prisoners lost themselves to the torture. Essentially becoming someone completely different than who they had been during life. This guy though perhaps was one of the few that could endure the embrace of the pit, that or he hadn’t been there long enough for his identity to be peeled off him.

William hesitated for a moment pondering over what was being asked of him. After a moment though William extended his dominant hand shaking the Sinner’s grasp. Was it risky accompanied with a side of crazy, yes definitely was, but William gave this Sinner the benefit of the doubt. “I’m Creed. I’ll figure out something in case I need information or a bit of backup. Who knows how an enemy will react to having a Sinner summoned against them.” William couldn’t keep himself from grinning at the thought of such an action.

The Sinner gave William his name, but he could see that the time he had before the gaze of Hell fell upon him was nearly here. While Jeff slid down the wall William took a step back anticipating the gates that he had read so much about. Although he’d met two Sinners in the past he’d never had this sort of experience with one. Nor had he ever been able to witness the gates with his own eyes. Both of the others had been handled by his Father while he had protected his sister, so today was definitely full of firsts for the Fullbringer.

“If you do get back out just do me a favor and don’t go after the average. If you want to eliminate the depraved just take out a gang or something. Next time I won’t go for the mask right away. Just give me your name as a signal so I know it’s you. Make sure you don’t lose yourself down there though. Fight back and remember why you were put doesn’t here to begin with, everyone else down there is what you hate. Don’t forget that or that place wins.”

Listening to Williams advice gave a small grin to Jeff "You would be surprised on how many sinners down there originally had a similar mindset as me, although the grasp of the pit was to much for them, me on the other hand, even the only method to get into my head isn't enough to change my personality." That grin turned into a smile as he recalled the box he was put in Hell before he was able to escape, the box that represented his childhood and how he was locked in that basement. Pain wasn't something he used to enjoy, after years of mental and physical abuse that changed, the only way he was able to cope was to relish the feeling. This was Jeff's secret to surviving Hell with his mind intact, simply because his mind was already damaged before he went there. Even if he seems sane at some moments, the other half to his coin is much different.


When William finished his sentence Jeff began to feel it, the tug on his sinners chains, it wasn't strong at first but it began to become increasingly more noticeable. "Well, looks like my time is up" he would say as he gets up, allowing the chains to begin straightening out in the air heading away from both him and William. "This is when I must bid you farewell for now" passing William he heads towards where the chains disappear into nothing, facing that spot when he stops about five feet from it.


The next moment would feel like an eternity, the air in front of him would open up, revealing a tall menacing double door gate. This isn't the first time Jeff has seen the gates of Hell, but this time he was prepared for what came next. Arms and hands begin to reach out of the doors that were now slowly opening, reaching outward and grasping at the air. The doors fully opened before the hands honed in on the chains that lead directly through them. Grasping the chains they began to pull the Saika connected to them forward, no amount of physical strength could overcome the sheer power and numbers of the arms pulling.


Smiling towards William, Jeff begins to speak "In he end they always want another piece of me, and all I have to say is bring on the pain. That sensation will never break my mind, at least not any further than my parents already have." Saying this he would give a small cackle while a smile grows wide on his face. The arms finally reached Jeff and begin to grasp any part they can manage, some ripping hair out of his head from the pure force they pull with. If William is paying extra attention he would even notice so much strength is in those hands that even piece's of Jeff's flesh is being torn away. While all this is happening the only thing William would hear from Jeff is laughing, a laughter only those who have been pushed to the edge have. Silence would finally come as the screams coming from inside the gate itself and Jeff's laughter stop after the gates finally close. It doesn't take long for the Gate's of Hell to disappear, leaving behind it a chill in the air.

Well it seemed that the citizen of the Pit really had run out of time on this world. William was able to watch as the forces of the pit pulled on his chains. He didn’t really say anything to Jeff instead just kidding his head a bit giving the Sinner knowledge that in case they didn’t ever run across one another in the future it wouldn’t be as enemies right away. William now though was going to keep his eyes open constantly looking for signs of escaped prisoners from the Pit. Just another way that the human world was getting even better than before.

What was really awing to William was the sight of the gates. He’d read about them in several books yet seeing them for himself was still completely different. The skulls, hands and aura of the gates themselves was worse than experiencing the terror of every horror movie filmed all converged together at once. It wasn’t a surprise though, William knew that there wasn’t going to be anything more tainted than Hell, not even the endless waste of Heuco Mundo. What was before him just was the ultimate punishment that Jeff had been sentenced to suffer.

When the gates closed William stood for a bit replaying everything he’d seen, followed by the conversation with Jeff. This sort of thing was important even if nothing happened to the average around him. Despite any sort of benefit he may have gained from all this now in the back of his mind William couldn’t stop stressing about a different prisoner breaking free. One powerful enough to reduce Tokyo to nothing, something he couldn’t stop. He had to steel himself and come to the conclusion that it was time to resume his training.
