People have gone missing. Isnt that the case always? Though it may be so, seems like it all came from a tropical island near the outskirts of Costa Rica. An island that was suppose to be used for a getaway experience for couples, singles, etc. A cruise line stopped at and for some reason never left. Suddenly, a mysterious fog came about and shrouded the islands, removing them from the map entirely. Other ships have passed by the area, causing more people to go missing.
Enter the unknown, find the people and stop what has caused this by any means, and then get the Hell out of there.
Note: Considering everyone participating is Class 2 or higher, the threads Threat Level will be altered to being Class 1-3. Introductions will be done after this post, get there however you can.))
Bustling of the bushes came about as a pair came emerging from the thick overgrowth of plants and vines, scampering about wildly as their foot crunched the fallen tree bark that resided on the floor. Their baited breathes were the only thing that made the sound of existing life on the island. Not a single bird chirping. No Snakes slithering on their bellies hissing from the distance. Almost every foot covered the sights of those that wandered the natural jungle with the rich moist of the fog. Humans life that once frolicked freely until a few days ago. A few days ago that their sounds were put to rest by the utter silence of the island itself. All that remained were the two who abandoned their living quarters for the past two days to reach the harbor. What was suppose to be a simple task quickly turned treacherous.
The two darted through the lower levels of the jungle to find themselves stalked. The silence they have experienced meant only concluded that they were being stalked. What was suppose to be a week of freedom and fantasy became a trip of horror on the tropical island. The humidity hadn't changed. The pair charged forward knowing the risk of remaining still coming close to their salvation. A sudden brush of air came along before the pair became nothing more than just the one. Not a sound was made from behind, not even as the man was taken. All that there remained was that of the chill left behind with his departure.
He rushed towards the harbor looking for the ships peering at the vast horizon of empty space. His gaze shifted from the far left to the far right until it met with a large shadow the encompassed his body from behind. It overtook him, hauling off his screaming body back into the jungle. This was the last image that was recorded before the Drone was destroyed. Something had consumed the Drone from the air, preventing it to overlook the island further. This is what was sent to the organizations that can make changes. Reports sent to the government, to that of the Vandenreich. Further news was sent that there resides a volcano that has now become active. The mission is clear; to rescue any survivors and remove the threat.
Y’know, Alexander still hadn’t quite put together why he couldn’t have handled this by himself. Why he needed to be sent along with another person. Or, hell, how the commanding ranks of the Vandenreich had even found out about any of what was going on to begin with. Had it been a task delivered directly by The Emperor, Alexander wouldn’t have these questions. But nothing was known about this situation. Since it was an unorthodox situation with an unexplained phenomena from an unknown source, Alexander was naturally the one they were sending. If ever there was a strange situation that needed investigating he was always the one that was sent.
Now, granted, Alexander was a specialist. Naturally he was rather pleased to be entrusted with this mission. It would not only give him the opportunity to please the Emperor, but also mayhaps give him a chance to further delve into his own mysteries that he was also searching for the answers to. If this had anything to do with demons then he was more than happy to go along with this. But Alex wasn’t being sent alone. He was being sent with an “other”, which was why he wasn’t too thrilled about this mission now. But whatever. He’d still come out on top like he always did and take all the credit.
Six blips of darkness suddenly blinked into existence in the middle of an intersection, hanging still in the air for a moment before rapidly extending both outwards and inwards towards the center. The intersection of the six lines of shadow formed into a star made from pure darkness that was large enough for two men to step out from. The shadows bulged forward as something from within pushed itself out, the darkness tearing away like a fabric to reveal Alexander, the star of the show himself, stepping out onto the empty and fog heavy street. Adorned in his usual attire and big, fluffy, traveling cloak, the Quincy wasted no time looking to his right and to his left.
He pursed his lips, frowning a little, before tapping a specific part of his chest through his shirt. The man spun around on his heels to do a three sixty, taking in everything around him before frowning. ”Oppressive fog. No people in sight despite being the middle of the day. You know what this means? No lines for the bars and the beaches are empty. Perfect time for a vacation.” Alex joked a little before hmm’ing to himself as he casually strolled around a little as though he was searching for something. Lifting his left arm up, and lifting some of his cloak up with it, Alex frowned to himself. ”Why did I bring this?” he wondered outloud.
”Right. Anyway. Why don’t you… go look at the beaches. Meanwhile I’ll have a look around town and that dense, insect riddled, snake infested, jungle. Hmm… on second thought, why don’t you go check it out.” Alex rambled on to the man he was with, looking for a way to get away from him so Alex could work alone like the lone wolf that he was.
Edward was sitting back in his chair, his hands held together as he rested his chin against his thumb as he watched the video that he had come across his desk, he watched as a massive dark shadow took someone back into the jungles of the island. Leaning back he looked over the paperwork that had came with the video, notes about when and where exactly this had taken place as well as the note that the people had gone missing. Slowly he contemplated what would he do, was it worth his time to go and investigate these events? Honestly it wasn’t, he could simply have some lower ranking Vandenreich do it for him, however he had been stationary for far too long and this seemed like the perfect excuse to get some exercise.
As Edward stepped out of the darkness with another quincy who he himself wasn’t too familiar with he looked around his surroundings. There was a fog covering everything making it somewhat hard to view the city, yet there was something that he did notice right away the city was silent there indeed was no sound of human life around the rather filthy town. The reports about this place being void of life were true then, hollow… no this is too efficient for those mindless beasts…. Arrancar? Possible had to be more than one, but would it even show up on the recording we have… So not those two trash races.
While Edward was thinking about what race could have done this the other quincy started speaking, talking about how the thick fog and lack of people made it a great time for a vacation. It was an obvious joke, or at least he hoped the other quincy was joking. Still the man went on making a comment as to why did he even bring the coat he was wearing and even giving a suggestion about splitting up. Edward would simply wait till the man was done before giving out his orders. In a firm tone to the quincy Edward spoke “If you are done, we can get started.”
He waited for a moment of silence from the man before he would continue. “If you had read the report or watched the video you would know that the last living person we know of was taken near the docks and dragged into the jungle. Our search will start there, seeing if there are any traces left that weren’t seen on the video. If we find nothing we will head in the direction of where we saw the man being dragged, mindless wandering around this town or the beaches right now isn’t exactly productive work.” Edward took a step forward and looked down the empty street covered in fog, taking a deep breath he thrusted his palm forward sending out a shockwave down the street to clear out the fog. Between Edwards control over shockwaves and his skill at using them he was confident he could clear out the fog without damaging the homes and buildings nearby.
With the fog pushed out of the way Edward started down towards where the docks should be. “Also if you’re already that worried about your coat get rid of it, it will be a hindrance in the jungle and with this heat it’s really unneeded.” Edward had purposefully left his coat back at home knowing they would be in the tropics, so he wasn’t sure why this quincy had brought his own which seemed to be much thicker than the standard one given. Say for the lack of his jacket Edward himself had been simply wearing the standard Vandenreich uniform, with some minor alterations, instead of a coat or jacket he was wearing a white vest with a dark blue shirt underneath, his crisp white pants being held up by a black belt with the quincy cross as it’s buckle.

This wasn’t a first although it was still rare for the Head of. Government in the world of the living to make contact, then hire him to handle a situation. He’d been on many islands in the past although this was a first for the man in his mid twenties. Costa Rica wasn’t a place that he had ever been to in the past. He had to smile at himself though due to the circumstances of his assignment. He wasn’t invading the nation to assassinate someone yet instead to investigate and save the citizens. He felt elated at how his life had changed courses from murderer to hero. Now as he sat ready to drop from the jet he had been on for nearly a dozen hours he collected the reiatsu of the world around him preparing for the worst.
He had received the phone call only last night from President Quesada, informing him that his nation was in danger. Afterwards like most world leaders though he handed off the phone to someone else. Turns out the president wasn’t spiritual aware, but someone in the senate was and sought out aid after learning of a mysterious fog. Knowing that normal humans would have very little chance if this turned out to be a Hollow with a bad appetite. So the Quincy was hired to handle the situation falling from the sky at ten thousand feet above. It had been a long flight, most of which he had spent sleeping although the first hours he had reviewed the island they had told him about, learning what buildings, people, vehicles and other minor things were on the island.
He could see the island which looked almost cloned in the deep grey fog. He couldn’t help, but compare what he was seeing to an animal covered in snow. Releasing his parachute at little less than three hundred feet is a dangerous altitude for a standard human, but nothing for the spiritual aware. He fell fast but using his knowledge of the island now did his best to land where he had thought best. He could only see a few feet in front of him while getting low enough now that within a few moments power poles could be a risk. Finally though he unclipped his parachute and took several steps across the air stepping onto the roof of a warehouse used to store essential equipment, ingredients and other various things for the island retreat. Although the fog would prove to be a problem if conflict did break out a high vantage point was always a good start so he’d make his way along the edges of the roof scouting for any information he could gather.
It only took a minute or so before information was literally flung at him as he heard the sound of a shockwave from a short distance away. Whether or not this was the thing that he was here to handle or not he couldn’t yet say. All he knew was he had to take a chance in this fog and hope he wasn’t about to weaken himself or worse. Pouring his reiatsu into the tattoo on his back Asmoskon prepared Tamashī no Sukuriputo, a defensive technique that would send a shockwave outwards the moment anything of ill intent presented itself from behind him. This fog likely served to aid its creator in claiming prey. Asmoskon knee predators had a tendency to attack from behind. Simply stack as much as one can in their own favor, a lesson any soldier should learn. Now though he dropped from the roof having decided to investigate the jungle. Should he be attacked he was certain the President wouldn’t mind if it was burned to the ground so long as the fog was cleared, they could always plant more.
A sudden burst of air. A hole in the fog. Visible trees and plant life across the way of the revealed street. Buildings on both sides of the road that were usually full of life now empty. A soulless town. An empty harbor. Windows cracked with doors kept wide open from a neighboring department store. Several carts filled with groceries, trucks with their emergency blinkers still on. A tow truck was in the process of raising a vehicle parked improperly in a handicap spot. Literally, the town made no echoes of life beyond the wrestling of the trees around them. The heavy moisture in the air from what was suppose to be morning dew but was nothing more than the fog coming back to fill the hole made by the man made shockwave. It took no time to reclaim what was once part of the environment.
The waves crashed against the barriers down below the coast line. Ships and Dingies roped off to the rows of wooden bridges. Few tied to the concrete pillars off to the side. Each boat appeared to have been abandoned with a few floating away out to sea. Purses and back packs seen littered across the floor distant from one another. Empty cars, automated doors coming to life to the paper stand overlapping the entry mat to a local gas station. All the noise one would hear from a town that was abandoned. Not a single body was seen. Yet, just as the cars that were left empty up the streets, bikes and motorcycles were laid on their sides. Broken glass from other stores covered parts of the sidewalks with sharp reflective shards. Only the waves and non organic life rustling in the wind were heard.
In terms of reiatsu, nothing larger than a mouse could be felt. Into the stores, the interior of the vehicles told different stories. Markings. Lacerations and blood stains could be noted. Book stands within a Target store toppled over. Casings of empty bullets scattered along the cheaply tiled floor. Blood trails leading out of many of the shops and cars. Bloody animal prints stained the walls. No bodies but merely was suppose to be there was gone. Not even the pets whose collars were left behind could be seen in any given direction. Not even the annoyance of bugs were heard. Dead was the status of the town.
Empty streets upon empty streets the Vandenreich will see for miles ahead. The only pattern was there was the blood and prints. Scattered they are but pointing north. A few pointed West, and others East. Was there a pattern to them? To the farthest side a single cruise liner nearly toppled over in an awkward position. Unnaturally with its side directly planted into the side of the tsunami barriers. The same was said for that of the lone Quincy, Asmoskon. A barren wasteland of an island that use to be filled with so much life in the city.
A single sign of life. Bleak as it maybe, lingered on the capsized cruise ship. Another near the boundary of the city and jungle. Larger than that of mouses, but still present. This is what the Vandenreich would come to notice along their walks. As for the lone Quincy, he too would come to feel a similar form of life in a three story building; a mall. Deep within its holdings, a single form of reiatsu that would come to stand out like that of the two Vandenreich. Were these really life forms? Or were they just something that lingered from what use to be there?
”After you, Captain Supervisor.” Alexander commented with a bow of his head. Skip over the preliminary investigation and head straight to the hot spot? Sure. Alexander would follow along. Not like he had a choice. Tell the tracker not to track? Alright, Alexander would follow along with what Captain Supervisor Edward wanted. Though Alex’s physical body did not show it, mentally he was shrugging. He had no issue playing second fiddle because when things inevitably went bad he could blame it on Edward for not letting Alex do his thing. After all, Alex was sent on this mission due to his tracking skills and knowledge on the weird and unusual.
Watching Edward clear the fog with the use of his physical force, Alex let his eyes wander around to soak in any details that stood out to him. Yes yes, it was all rather impressive. But Alexander wasn’t one to be impressed by simple tricks like that. Especially not when he had his mind focused on other things. He was still having no reaction of any sort from the small pendant he kept hidden beneath his shirt. Generally the thing was rather reliable, so why wasn’t it heating up and burning his skin? Seems like he may not be able to rely on the Fragment and instead would need to utilize some ol’ fashion clue findin’ and investigation skills.
Miles and miles of empty street in all directions. Not a soul in sight or a sound to be heard. But from the little sneak peaks that Alex did get, it became rather clear that everyone didn’t just up and head off to the secret bunker for a riveting game of how low can you go. The blood trails that Alex started to notice were indicative that something violent and non-consensual had been going on. Alexander stopped his trailing behind Edward as he turned his head towards the jungle, his blue eyes narrowing ever so softly. ”Do you feel that as well, Captain Supervisor?” Alex asked, referring to the feeling of life energy, although faint, he could feel in the distance.
His Fragment of the Black Key still wasn’t going off, causing Alex to wonder if maybe this didn’t have anything to do with Hell or demons after all. But even so his curiosity was just starting to get tickled. ”Might not be such a bad idea to go say hi. With any luck they’ll have some leftover coconut pineapple floats.” Alex joked, knowing full well that if they chose to go over to that little blip then the excitement would start. ”Or we could always just start blowing things up and let something else come to us.” He added with a shrug.
The heavy fog that he had cleared out slowly crept back in reclaiming the street that he had cleared out, yet he had seen enough of the street to get an idea what had happened here. Blood, empty bullet casings, even traces of animal prints. Edward had heard reports of animals in the past going wild and attack humans, but this was on a totally different level. Getting closer to one of the animal prints Edward took a visual measurement to see if it was abnormally large. Possibly beast clan, they were animalistic enough to strike in such a manor, strong enough to shrug off human world weaponry and do this sort of damage and most importantly had some level of intelligence that would allow for coordinated attacks.
”Do you feel that as well, Captain Supervisor?” Edward had felt the faint traces of life coming off of the jungle, that’s where the trails of blood seemed to be dragging the bodies of the inhabitants. However, Edward also felt something coming from the capsized ship against the tsunami barrier. Two different sources of possible life, and there were two of them. To use time efficiently they should split up and each tackle one of the two sources, yet there wasn’t enough information available to him to make that call. It was his responsibility to make sure that the mission was a success and to ensure that they both returned home.
After the suggestions that the captain gave Edward stopped at a junction, he turned to face his subordinate and looked him in the eyes. “I felt it and something else over there.” Edward pointed out towards the overturned cruise ship. “Tell me do you know what beast clan are?” Edward said this in an inquisitive tone, he wasn’t exactly sure as to how much the quincy knew about the rare species. He himself had encountered a few here and there, reading some reports about how they interacted and their strength, however he knew that those knowing about the beast clan were sparse.
Edward wasn’t expecting the long topic and overview that his fellow quincy had on them. It was enough to know that the quincy knew well and good that they existed and what they were. “I only needed to know if you did know about them but thank you for the information provided. I asked given what I’ve seen I have a feeling that this attack could have been done by them. From what I know beast clan can congregate in groups and have enough intelligence to do a quarantined attack like this, given the lack of bodies left behind whatever attacked would have also have had to have the strength to carry a corpse back into the jungle not only a single corpse but several. You would need impressive stamina and strength to continuously do something like that. Speaking from personal experience.”
Edward looked back over at the capsized ship as he heard it scrape against the barriers again “Given that the attack seemed to be quick enough as to not let survivors actually escape the island I would think it happened over the course of a few hours possibly a day and with enough numbers to overwhelm a population center. Hollows tend to be solitary so they’re out, arrancars would have just destroyed everything and sucked the souls out not bothering with body removal. Bounts, they would have been cleaner than this, they would want a replenishable food source not a one-time snack. So, I doubt any of those races are involved. What do you think speak honestly, also your name.” After finding out that this quincies family had dabbled in hunting he was more interested in his opinion.
Edward motioned for them to continue walking while the Quincy spoke, moving away from the jungle and towards the capsized ship, his logic was that whatever had dragged the people of the island to the jungles would have already left the city and returned to it’s den. So, it didn’t make sense for whatever it was in the cruise ship to stay inside of it. It had to be either a human or a spiritually aware individual hiding from the beasts. At least that’s what he assumed, he could be totally in the wrong, however the cruise ship was a limited area to search and the jungle was much larger and if it turned out that they were hunting was a beast clan then heading into the jungle unprepared would be the worst idea possible.
Edward looked at the capsized ship, knowing full well that trying to navigate a ship like that would be a hinderance, luckily for him he saw what he needed to remedy this situation. Using some of his strength Edward jumped towards the ship landing right at the hole where one of the anchors of the ship came out from. Using his strength, he pulled on the chain, pulling out the massive chain from it’s resting place. The locking mechanism for the ship had been broken allowing for him to pull out the chain as far as he needed to. With enough of it pulled out he grabbed the large anchor and tossed it nearby the quincy, causing it to land about ten or so feet away from his subordinate. He quickly followed to where the anchor had landed. With both hands and his feet on the ground Edward started to pull with his full strength, slowly more of the chain continued to come out of the ship till it reached its end. At that point Edward continued still, pulling more and more slowly causing the ship to start to tilt back upright. Eventually it came to a point that the ship was no longer on its side but standing as it should. “Well now, that will make exploring that ship easier, maybe you might even find that pineapple your so keen on."

Moving towards the jungle was the first step he was going to take towards accomplishing his mission, although in the way there he had to ponder what could have brought this on. He had thought over the possible culprit racial identity already, believing that there could be a good chance this was a powerful Hollow with the ability to create a trance inducing mist. He wasn’t feeling any such veil over his mind though even as he paced his way through the cloaked over street. Coming upon the first set of scattered clothing Asmoskon took a moment to evaluate what he was finding through the fog. “Absorption perhaps?” He had to ponder this over not knowing exactly what he was hunting could do was definitely fiving the advantage over, something he was never pleased with.
He felt the sensation of something alive within what looked to be a wide building several floors high. If there was a survivor he would need to rescue them, for nothing else than information on how this all happened. The more likely explanation though he believed that he was walking right into a trap. It took a few minutes to get inside the mall then walk to the location of the reiatsu he was sensing. All the while he kept his eye scanning and his ears on high alert doing his best to find any sort of warning to an impending attack from the cover of the fog.
Chains rattled and the waves pummeled loudly against the harbor, but mainly that of the dragged vessel. The cruise liner scrapped loudly against the stone pier that it nearly mounted, shaking the ground across the town, even shattering the weakened frames of glass windows. Screeching loudly with metal trimmings and furniture off the decks of the ship, it slowly came closer to the pair that sought to search its holdings. Its hollowing sound echoed, even causing the reiatsu source within the vessel to be stirred about, moving from the front of the ship further down into what would be the hold. It moved slowly but moved yet altogether. Surely it is alive, that much can be said, but as to its nature remains to be known.
The nature of the vessel was as it appeared to be. A Luxury Liner for couples, families, gatherings and the such. Empty rooms, kitchens spilled over with plates and food. Dinning rooms void of life. What should have been a get away definitely turned to foul play considering a few support beams were torn out. Large holes that a human can practically walk through the walls. Floors broken down to visibly see the lower levels below. Black thick residue staining the walls of rooms and over the floors. Nothing was found here beyond what they could feel from before. The reiatsu was still moving, deeper into the hold. Then, stayed. Small shops and restaurants were mapped around the central area of the ship. A large opening that could easily be described to be an indoor mall, with halls that can easily allow for a giant to walk through. Two floors, with festivities on the upper, and dinning on the lower.
Guest rooms ringed around the center of this mall. Each one decorated to match that from four star to complete five star condos. All that remained were the lower levels, what resided below the decks; Engineering and cargo. Engines were laid out from the center half down to the rear, which even housed the massive storage area. A single chamber to house the shipping containers that were stacked over each other to form that of a maze. While some were still stacked, others have been thrown about, quite possibly from forced movement of the Quincies. Yet. It came from here, whatever that was alive. Even tear the damages were severe. Along the far side wall a several holes decorated the upper half. Being punched in from the what appeared to be from the outside. Holes the size of a man. Water was seeping in here. Despite being pulled for a better position, it was obvious from the creeks that the metal around them made, the ship was still taking in water. And slowly, slowly sinking with the rear going first.
The metallic shrieks are easily heard here. The floor shook and webbings that clung the upper corners of the columns here waved about almost effortlessly. Glass broke and counters fell over, there was definitely something going on else where close by. Perhaps there were others here, or that was some structure giving out. On the outside the mall seemed lifeless, yet within was another story. Despite the news that was recovered to inform the group, only a few days, yet now something was made apparent to be all but lifeless. Glass from the ceiling had shattered and were all over the grounds that the Quincy man came to tread over. Thick translucent residue seeped from the walls and shop entries. Even noting that there was a form of evolution to it seeing counters shelled over with a thick layer of resin material. It was pulsing.
Empty shoes with bits of clothing here and there. Drinks, shopping carts, even strollers. Struggles completely emanated from this place as blood stains were clearly seen. Display cases were cracked and walls busted into. Whats more was the putrid odor of heavy musk that was seeping off the walls the further someone would go into. A sort of smell that did not originate from the humidity or from the jungle that bordered the malls exterior to the north-east. But a sort of musk that was putrid, as if rotting. Such a smell became more apparent as the interior began to warp, and morph beyond that of a man made structure. This was something organic, pulsating as was small patches before.
gggrgghhhhhh
A soft muffled sound would come to stand out. Then, another shake. Another quake came about as it did before before coming to a complete halt. The muffle came again. Like air being squeezed out of somewhere. All that could be made out was the reiatsu that came from that direction of the sound. Deeper into the mess that covered half of the mall. Deeper into what was a literal mess.
”Tell me do you know what Beast Clan are?” came a rather out of nowhere question. Alexander blinked, having been looking to his left at a trail of blood where someone had been yanked out of their car. The Quincy let out a “hmm?” as he pondered over Edward’s question, thinking for a moment so that he was able to get his facts straight. ”But of course. What do you think this fur is made of?” Alexander asked, raising his right hand to brush the white and furry portion of his cloak. ”Polar bear. Beast Clan Polar Bear.” Alexander explained with a sense of satisfaction before deciding to seriously answer Edward’s question. ”But yes, yes I do. Quite well actually. There was a member of my family, long before my time, who almost exclusively hunted down Beasts.” Alexander explained as he followed behind Edward.
”Kayn...Kayneth...Karn...Kevin...it’s one of those. I can’t really remember. Anyways, he saw Beasts as so different than demons. He rationalized that because they originated from an Original Sin it made them no different than those from Hell. He was the only one with that thought process. Frankly I think he was a bit of a traditionalist who just wanted to crawl around the bush to put an arrow in Bambi, but I’m not one to judge. Anyways, credit where it was due he did manage to accumulate quite the font of knowledge on them. So I suppose you could say I’m rather educated on the topic.” Alexander explained as he trailed behind Edward. ”So you’ve concluded that Beasts are the culprits then?” the hunter asked, adding a ”Hmm?” to the end of his sentence as they neared the capsized cruise ship.
”My name?” Alexander asked when he was suddenly questioned on it. He couldn’t help but just stare a little bit at Edward. He didn’t know the name of a Captain? With a flourishing movement of his right hand held out to his side, Alex placed his left hand on his chest and bowed forever in a manner that was either respectful or mocking. ”Captain Alexander Alistair. Specialist. Hunter. Tracker. Faithful servant and child of the Emperor.” he said, finishing his introductions and standing up straight. As they neared the capsized cruise liner, Alex raised an eyebrow when he saw Edward leap off towards it. Is he going to lift the ship? Alex wondered to himself as he watched Edward tear the anchor from the ship.
With a surprised yip Alex darted to his left as Edward tossed the anchor in his direction, though thankfully it landed about ten or so feet from Alex. The Quincy chuckled to himself as he looked at the anchor, concluding that this guy was trying way too hard. Edward came back down to Alex’s level a few moments later, grabbing the anchors chain and pulling. Length by length until he reached the end of the line, Edward yanked with all his strength to pull the ship back upright. Once done, Edward would be rewarded with the sound of clapping hands. ”Very impressive, Captain Supervisor.” Alexander remarked with feign entertainment as he gave Edward a golf clap.
Of course, as Alex did that he came to notice that the reiatsu inside the ship was moving again. He turned his attention to the ship and rested his eyes around the general area where the signature was. ”Though as much as I’d love to go crawling around a filthy ship looking for god knows what, I think a more direct approach is necessary here.” Alexander commented, opening his right hand before reiatsu gathered together and materialized into a formed bow. Taking a few steps to his right Alex grabbed the ethereal bowstring and pulled back, causing an arrow of reiatsu to form. Letting the arrow go, what looked to be one arrow was instead trailed by four others all going in a straight line. The first arrow collided with the hull of the ship, exploding, and allowing the other four to clear out a path into the ship. Letting the smoke clear, Alex was happy to see a more than person sized hole in the side of the ship. ”After you, sir.” Alex invited, dematerializing his bow.
Edward turned over to Alex with the feigned applause and the less than honest tone in his voice, he was going to say something, but then Alex along with making another comment blasted a hole in the side of the ship. “Alex, I don’t care for false applause and fake personalities, so it would be best if you mind your actions. I’d prefer honesty rather than this attitude I’m getting. Am I making myself clear?.” Edward would stare right at Alex to make sure that the man understood what he meant. “We are both his majesty’s children so there is no need to not be candid with one another.”
It was at this time that Edward started to see something he hadn’t before and couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. “My apologies, just remembered something from my past that amused me.” Edward was lying, what made him actually laugh was that after spending some time actually looking directly at Alex he couldn’t help but notice that the man and his backstory was way too similar to an anime character. It was a particular series that he had watched a few weeks back. Honestly with a bit of work with makeup and getting out of the Vandenreich uniform the man was a dead ringer. If it wasn’t for the fact that it would expose him as being a massive anime fan to the Vandenreich he would have dragged Alex dressed up to the next convention he was going to.
“You maybe right about crawling around the ship, but sadly we have a mission however if everything goes smoothly the drinks are on me.” Edward wasn’t entirely heartless, when a mission went well he wanted to reward his subordinates and with Alex speaking so much about pineapples and drinks he assumed that Alex was a drinker. With that all out of the way Edward used the air ground to simply walk into the hole that Alex had created. Looking around there was clear signs of water damage and other damage to the ship’s interior.
What once was a luxury ship was in a state of decay and disrepair, from what he could tell this wasn’t just due to simple neglect. The ship was sinking as water was starting to flood the back half of the ship, this would mean that the two of them would have to hurry. “Come on let’s get this over before we drown.” With that said Edward started to go down one of the hallways heading to the bow of the ship to where he felt where the life was hiding. He wanted to get this over with and head home, even though he had paperwork he also wanted to watch a new anime.
