When Rio attempted to slam down on Skeletor, it looked like Ludwig had done something to switch places with it. The ancient Gear Golem had done a ton of attacks on Rio, but since the very rules of Ludwig's cartoon world prevented any damage from actually sticking, coupled with Rio's Pain Tolerance of 3, Rio simply kept going as all of the injuries he sustained, mysteriously healed on their own. This meant all the electrocution damage, the hole in his chest... everything just reset back to zero, as if it had never happened. Really, it was the only possible outcome since with its higher strength, equal size, its own healing factor that would undo any damage Rio dealt to it (assuming he could even hurt it in the first place) and Rio's lack of opposable thumbs it was essentially impossible for Rio to actually break the Golem's grip, unless it voluntarily let go of him. So Rio followed this up with Plague Winds, engulfing everything around him in virulent green acidic fog that would dissolve all organic matter within two hundred meters of him nigh instantaneously. If Ludwig and Rafael were anywhere near him when this happened they too would be completely dissolved down to nothing, and, since Ludwig's ability only allowed healing after the damage finished, would be trapped in place, endlessly melting for the next three of Rio's posts.

Ludwig smiled to himself for a moment as he watched his Golem handle things exactly as intended. However the smile was short lived as he realized Sazanami had petered out and now he was blind. A quick mental casting of Sazanami to get himself the view he needed and he quickly realized he was being targeted by the panther. He groaned internally. Really I know my bankai heals and prevents death but could you kindly get knocked unconscious? I’ve got to deal with an actual threat here. Ludwig had to execute his next play move while panther was making his way over and for lack of a better play he had to use Surasoratoiera again. He wasn’t keen on using his biggest physical defense card yet but if things kept up he might have to.
What happened next was something that was a cluster fuck of different actions some by him and others by his summons. To start with, given Rio had no inherent means of countering the Golem’s grip on him, it managed to actually land the explosive round point blank into Rio. It would be at this point the golem let him go so he could be thrown back a minimum of 30 feet given even the explosion despite being muffled was ludicrously powerful and directly on his chest. Afterwards the giant’s hand buzzer would fade from existence and his internal mechanisms would work on reloading his massive rifle. It’s one bright red eye however never left from it’s target, Rio. And since Rio was no longer in punching range it began it’s sprint to him so that it could deliver the world’s largest knuckle sandwich directly into one of his three jaws. If not all of them if he were lucky.
Ludwig on the other hand had to deal with Rafael who’d only shown up as the golem had started it’s trek over towards Rio. However he’d soon find himself in yet another awkward position as Ludwig let loose another force blast with him at basically point blank. And given Ludwig had long since mastered it it now travelled at 2x his RS making it move at a whopping 3360 speed more than enough to catch Rafael mid-attack and launch him back from where he’d just come from. Alright Skeletor and Flaming chicken it’s time for ya’ll to make sure he’s down and out for the count. This is likely our only chance. Ludwig being the source of this attack would be bounced into air, dropping his sandals in the process before ripping out the brand new pair that looked like Hermes sandals. They quickly ran towards his feet and tied themselves up then flew him up onto the golem’s shoulder. Meanwhile Ludwig quickly chanted and cast Sazanami again. He needed the insight it gave on the battlefield since he couldn’t keep track of everyone, summons included and manage them without it. Thankfully it wasn’t a terribly expensive kido but still it had to be getting obvious Ludwig was doing something to keep an eye on everyone.
And last but certainly not least came Skeletor and the flaming bird. They’d seen Rafael propel himself towards their master but even with their ability to realize what was going on could only react so much. Thus they’d only managed to get started on flying with a fury towards the offending cat. But with Ludwig blasting him back in their direction they now had an easy means of continuing the assault and hopefully knocking the cat unconscious from all the damage that’d get healed. Neither of course realizing that the cat had his own inherent healing. The bird did what one would expect from a phoenix by opening its mouth and unleashed a volley of fireballs each 10 feet across. This volley fired in a spread where each was able to pepper and consume the total diameter of each other’s blast. This line of explosions would be about 30 feet wide and were 45 feet ahead of the bird and it’s passenger rapidly approaching the cat flying back towards them.
Skeletor in the meantime kept watch on the bird. With the bird annihilating the field in front of them Skeletor simply kept an eye out for Rafael. If he saw hide or hair he’d start firing off shockwaves around him. These however would be a bit delayed and thus subject to being dodged if the fireballs hadn’t blasted him into ash first. Still though if Rafael looked he could easily figure out that the bird was more focused on attacking as opposed to finding him and thus Skeletor was by proxy using his new “steed” to go after him. And just like Rafael himself, was now fully healed up looking like he’d never been pulverized, cut, or really taken even a thumbtac’s worth of damage in his life.
Although he had accelerated his speed in order to cross the distance in a moment, this Shinigami managed to still keep his guard up and be prepared. Rafael bringing his arm down in a hammer fist sort of attack felt the impact of an invisible force slam against him. The force that slammed against him wasn’t enough that it caused a lot of pain, but he couldn’t keep himself from being sent flying backwards away from the Shinigami. Forcing at least his left eye to stay open, Rafael watches as the Shinigami gets further and further away.
“No!”
Roaring in anger Rafael grew frustrated with how his efforts seemed to be easily thorted. The sound of the Phoenix along with the heat that it was giving off alerted Rafael to its position behind him, the giant skeleton in full view. Only due to the speed of his thoughts was Rafael able to gather the information of the battlefield while he flew through the air. The massive dog was breathing out something else now that Rafael witnessed melting the ground itself. Staying away from the ground it seemed was necessary now.
He didn’t possess wings like this fire chicken nor could he stand in the air like the Shinigami. He was about to be attacked by two massive summons, one in front and the other behind. The Shinigami keeping up his guard moved from where he had just been going to the shoulder of the massive robot summon that had just given the dog more trouble than he’d accomplished. Irritating didn’t even describe how Rafael felt right now yet his stubbornness wouldn’t allow him to accept death especially at the hands of a Shinigami.
If he couldn’t move forward or back nor to the ground below then that left only one direction. He couldn’t stop his body from flying backwards through the air from the force of the shinigami’s spell, but he could change his direction. Punching downwards with both arms in unison along with a heavy flick of his tail, Rafael causes three shockwaves in a single direction. Enough recoil to send him suddenly soaring high above where he’d been. Out of danger from the fire balls which would now be on their way to the giant skeleton.
“Others first.”
Rafael spoke almost in a subconscious manner. Surprised at himself the frustration didn’t subside nor vanish, but reason asserted dominance within Rafael’s mind. He loved to fight and a challenge was certainly good, but he couldn’t risk dying right now. Zadora and Lolth were still apprehensive of fighting, they depended on him for protection. He helped get food and supplies too, but he was the leader. What would they do if he didn’t return? Would they survive? Could a different beast protect them or would they be enslaved? Punching the air rapidly Rafael pushed himself away from the Shinigami choosing to fight a different day when others didn’t depend on him so completely. When he could risk his life without regret looming over his soul.

Rio snarled with impotent rage as he was blasted backwards. The thirty feet he was hurled back was only a small distance to the two titanic battlers, a mere step or two, but he was furious, landing on all fours, barely. It was rare for Rio to face an adversary of comparable size to his release form. True, his knowledge of martial arts had become painfully limited in his new, quadrupedal form. Pankration, the fighting technique Rio specialized in, was, after-all designed for bipedal humans, with arms, opposable thumbs, proper elbows and forward facing knees. Despite his biology no longer supporting the fighting technique, however, Rio wasn't completely incapable of applying it even in his current state. Rio was a traditionalist, and the Spartans had admittedly been known for a certain inflexibility in warfare. That didn't mean that old dogs couldn't come up with a few new tricks however.
In this situation Rio had a few small advantages, offered by his quadrupedal form. Specifically that any attack that Ludwig's golem launched had to pass through the danger zone of three snarling mouths. And although the golem may have been highly resilient to harm from any of Rio's attacks, that didn't mean Rio couldn't try and get around it in other ways, and the golem's punch gave him the opening he needed. Funny thing about that. The Golem was stronger than Rio, a frustrating conundrum that Rio was extremely unused to facing. And it was faster too. But Rio still had his instincts, honed by thousands of years of Darwinian battle, and Ludwig was not a master martial artist. The punch flying at Rio's three heads was read by Rio, and the Espada lurched his body aside and towards the Golem, slipping the punch like a boxer, the head nearest the fist snapping and biting down on the golem's wrist, with tremendous force. Under normal circumstances this may have only caused Rio's jaws and fangs minor pains, and possibly cracked a tooth, but this was a cartoon world, and so, naturally, instead, Rio's entire set of teeth cracked and shattered like glass.
Determined to make the most of this however, Rio's jaws still latched around the Golem's wrist and he twisted his body around in a spiral to toss the golem off balance, and with Ludwig on its shoulder, hurl the Captain from his perch as well, and possibly knock the golem to the ground. Rio had hoped to cast Ludwig from the Golem's shoulder and send him plummeting into the mist rising out from the effect of Plague Winds. Though it seemed Ludwig could fly.... Even deprived of his Golem, it was possible the Captain would need more "persuasion", but that would come down to Rio having to see the response of Ludwig to his attempt to topple the Captain into the acidic mists that he had belched forth. At any rate, Rio was finding Ludwig evasive and slippery and difficult to pin down... Aside from the Sonido charge that had dispatched Lucitide all those years ago, Rio wasn't certain if he'd be able to pin the Captain down conventionally.
Rio growled slightly as he felt his teeth regrowing, courtesy of Ludwig's Bankai. Is this what it feels like to have those regenerative powers of other arrancar. Disgusting... Rio thought, as his center head blanched in displeasure at the sensation. It wasn't quite pain. Pain was something Rio understood. This was something different. And it didn't feel particularly nice. No, Rio would take good old fashioned pain any day. But for now he had a battle to fight!
In some respect, Rio should probably have been grateful that the panther was splitting Ludwig's attention. Things would undoubtedly be much worse for him if he had to contend with Ludwig's bird and skeletor, in addition to the Golem and to the Captain himself. However, it also seemed Rafael was fleeing the battle, having had enough of the fight. Wise... Rio might have thought, had he spared Rafael's departure more than a cursory thought. But beyond that cursory thought, Rio's mind was entirely bent upon his battle with Ludwig. The golem would probably rise up from the Plague Winds, as the attack would have little effect on the inorganic material. But Rio wondered how autonomous these creations were. Could they continue to battle without their master? Could they save their master from his Plague Winds? If so that would prove disastrous for Rio. But unlike Rafael, Rio was stubborn and despised the idea of having to retreat before a Shinigami of all things. Snarling, his serpent tail arched, he kept ready for battle all four heads alert and keeping watch on Ludwig's summons. One head to monitor of his opponents. Regrettably, Rio's nose was filled with the scent of his own Plague Winds and near useless at the moment.

Despite the three way throwdown by all the fighters involved Ludwig had to admit the fight was going as well as could be expected. This section of the Rukongai was without a doubt blasted apart and would need aid from the shinigami to ensure it would return to it's old form. That was if the landscape itself was usable after the fact. Rio had after all ensured that anything that wasn't solid ground was literally liquified and eaten away. Any repair efforts would likely be longstanding here. Thus he needed to end this sooner than later.
Thankfully however with the help of Sazanami, he could sense Rafael leaving and quickly at that. Alright one pest down. Now to focus on doge-san here. Skeletor, Chicken. Change of targets, focus on Rio and ensure he's pelted with everything you can fire at him. We're finishing this. Though that was the intention Rio seemed to have other ideas in mind, especially when he deftly evaded the punch thrown by the golem and had promtply grabbed onto his arm. Ludwig could only pull out a sign that read "Oh no. . ." The worst part? His golem though it couldn't groan definitely looked to be in some degree of pain as it's arm had effectively been shattered with just enough maw on the arm that Rio still had a solid grip on said golem.
The next minute Ludwig found himself being hurled through the air and far behind Rio and his Golem. Where the golem ended up landing on the ground with the ties between Rio and it's arm being ripped apart in the process, Ludwig was thrown a good 80 feet away. The only reason he hadn't been thrown further was that his hermes sandals had been actively fighting to regain control and had after a long period of uncertainty managed to regain their "footing" and bring Ludwig to a standstill in the air. Thankfully being 40 feet in the air had it's perks, like not being thrown through several trees so the most that he had to do was catch his breath again. Still if Rio expected he'd have ample time to come after Ludwig he'd now have to deal with Skeletor alongside his flaming steed.
Said steed was now active like a military grade aircraft and flying about 10 feet above Rio while breathing out flames that in a 15 foot wide cone that had every intent of cooking Rio alive. Meanwhile Skeletor was throwing out shockwaves to ensure if Rio dodged to the side in either direction he would get hit by at least one stray attack. From there so long as the bird got above Rio's back then Skeletor would immediately hop off his stead and ground pound his fist into Rio's back. Making sure to get the most impact that he could upon the initial landing before immediately grabbing some of his fur in his right hand and beginning to throw shockwaves at Rio's serpentine tail. Namely at it's base so that it couldn't avoid being hit nearly as easily. This assault between the bird and skeletor would continue for as long as Rio didn't actively try to stop either. The bird coming in for wave after wave of fire while Skeletor just kept attacking the tail in an akward attempt to cut it off via shockwaves.
Ludwig in the meanwhile now able to take his time and breath was going to start preparing for his final assault. He'd need a few moments however as the kido he was going to cast wouldn't be useful without a period of set up. Fly me up about 80 feet in the air. From there keep an eye out for anything from Rio that may come our way. Dodge it if possible and if not smack my calf to let me know it's not possible." From here Ludwig quickly drew a cartoon gun and ripped it out from the pages.
From there he began chanting the incantation for a spell he'd long since created but had never used due to the sheer power and destruction it'd cause. Even with Mutsuhoyo he'd have to chant out the entire incantation and thankfully he was far enough away that he shouldn't have any issue getting everything set up in relative safety. Especially with his three summoned alies ensuring Rio was more adequately pinned to a single spot. ""God of space, how vast your domain is. How far reaching the cosmos extends and what many secrets lie hidden away. Open your eyes and see that I have found one such treasure! A display of man's ability to grow and become more than a collection of dust upon your eternally stretching lands! Oh but how quickly this treasure turns upon the owner as man was never meant to extend his reach out to embrace it. Our dreams guide us as we look to the heavens, our hopes propel us as we reach out, but our hubris and foolishness are our undoing when we finally acquire that which we seek. Forgive this transgression and allow me to replace this treasure with one of my own in return."
While chanting this Ludwig's reiatsu skyrocketed again during the incantation. In fact around him it looked like the world was darkening as he continued to pour more and more reiatsu into said cartoon gun. Rio wouldn't even need energy sensory capabilities to know Ludwig was up to something and it was big. As long as he caught sight of Ludwig he'd very quickly come to this realization. The issue however being that Ludwig was 120 feet in the air and 80 feet away so he was a good bit away on top of the fact that Rio had the flaming bird, Skeletor, and now the golem to deal with. So getting to him was going to be a very important but incredibly difficult task to achieve.
Speaking of the Golem, up until now he'd be lying on the ground letting his shattered arm reconstitute from Ludwig's release. Thankfully with the 40 feet tall mist created by Rio he was able to hide quite well in it and act like he was "dead" until a loud clanking sound from his left arm finishing it's reload made itself known. With a new arm and his other more than capable The golem immediately got up out of the cloud, placing itself between Ludwig and Rio before coming after Rio with the intention of grabbing Rio and putting him into a choke hold. Caution was thrown to the wind as he'd be more than capable of regenerating from anything Rio could throw at him. He simply needed to ensure Ludwig could make his play when the time came.
{Hado #100 Eien no Hokai} Technique Name: Hado #100 Eien no hōkai (Eternal Collapsing Void)
Class: Class 1
Technique Type: Kido (Hado)
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): All races that can use Kido
Technique Element: Darkness
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect):
What happens when knowledge learned from the Dangai and a favorite hado turns into inspiration for yet another kido spell? You get this monster of a kido that seeks to push the limits of what defines that which only the Zero Division are allowed to learn and what a normal Shinigami can learn. This kido in it's simplest form seeks to create nothing short of a black hole. That's right this kido when performed will actually make, albeit small, a completely functioning black hole that stops at nothing in it's ever growing attempt to consume all that surrounds it. This black hole for the sake of durability is equal to the user's OS, lasts for 3 posts, and has a field of influence reaching 100 feet on all sides from the singularity.
The gravitational strength of the black hole however varies depending on how close one is to it. These fields of strength change over every 20 feet. So from 100 feet out to 80 feet the gravitational strength is 25% of the user’s OS. At 79-60 feet the OS of the gravitational field is 50% of the users OS. This continues by increasing in strength up to 100% of the users’s OS in the 39-20 feet range. When one crosses into the final 20 feet from the black hole they enter the Event Horizon, a realm where the gravitational force is so strong that nothing can escape from it. Or at least that’s the human worlds description this kido mimics this Event Horizon but the level of strength it has is not so absolute however should one cross it there is a high likelihood that one will endure spaghettification or simply be crushed into the black hole.
So what happens outside the Event Horizon when someone cannot meet the OS? Simple they get pulled towards the black hole. The distance is equal to the user’s OS minus the highest OS of the person whose stuck. That difference is how many feet they are pulled towards the black hole. The same happens to physical attacks or reiatsu attacks that launch, fire, throw, etc. If their OS is not higher than the exerted force of the black hole they will also get dragged towards it, except for attacks/objects they are simply dragged into the singularity and destroyed. The highest OS exerted by the black hole is used if the attack would go through multiple fields. A point to make note of speed cannot be used as a means of escaping or overcoming the gravitational force of the black hole. If one can’t resist the OS then they cannot use a step tech that would move them from the black hole. They must be able to resist it’s gravitational force in order to move or step tech away from the black hole.
Now onto the important bit, how to resist the gravitational force. It can simply be resisted by those who simple superiority for the field they are in. So long as they have simple superiority they are not affected by the pull. If they do not have a high enough OS however one can simply resist it in the same manner as a being that exerts their gravitational pressure. Except the cost is a bit more at 400 reiatsu per post. However the difference with this is that one merely suffers a less gravitational force, enough for them to have 1 point superiority for their zone. Unlike the prior resisting however moving and attacks will be more taxing as they are not able to fully overcome the draw of the black hole. So what about if someone passes the Event Horizon then? Well similar to a real black hole it's much harder to actually survive. Where one needed simple OS superiority to actually be unaffected while in the Event Horizon Zone one needs to have 1.25x the OS of the user to resist. If they do not for the same 400 reiatsu per post they can instead resist the effects and not get consumed by the black hole but cannot move. Also while any remain in this zone all actions feel incredibly taxing as one is pushed to their limits to not remain in their form. The equivalent is like moving at high speeds (600) constantly.
How to use technique (How is it activated?):
Speak the incantation and direct your reiatsu to one hand to create an incredibly dense orb of reiatsu. This will take the entirety of the incantation and even a few seconds after to ensure the orb itself is stable enough to be held despite how incredibly dense it is. Once the orb is stable the user merely needs to throw the orb in any direction desired and wait but a few moments as the orb will collapse mid air and complete its transformation into a black hole within a few seconds.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
To start this technique requires the incantation be spoken. This can be done mentally but the entire incantation must be spoken to use this at all and requires the user to pay an extravagant amount of reiatsu. 800 total regardless of whether the kido is casted successfully or not. Second the user must, absolutely MUST maintain the orb in their control for at least a few seconds after the casting to stabilize the orb. If the orb is hit in any fashion or aggressive tampering will case a premature collapse and will subsequently consume the arm of that is holding the orb before dissipating. Needless to say this causes an opening to hit the user or potentially the orb so care must be taken about when it's being used. The user is not unaffected by this kido's influence nor are the user's creations/attacks spiritual or physical.
The gravitational force can be resisted a number of ways so long as one isn't past the Event Horizon. The first is that one with an OS that is superior to the force exerted will remain unhindered. Those caught in the wake of this technique can also pay 400 reiatsu to resist the gravitational effects for one post. The black hole can also be destroyed this is subject to standard clash rules. This is especially the case if one doesn’t have enough OS to resist the gravitational force of the Event Horizon but has more OS than the Black hole has for durability. The black hole will draw in the attack and subsequently destroy itself in the process via imploding.
Lastly this kido like all high level kido exert a special toll upon the wielder. This kido unlike others will consume the reiatsu in the entire arm that held onto the orb. Thus making it brittle, and incapable of fighting in any capacity let alone moving for the remainder of the thread. For the next post the user cannot utilize their reiatsu as their spirit has to work to replace all the reiatsu that was lost in the casting. Also this Kido cannot be used again until 5 posts after the previous casting of the kido and can only be used twice in one thread. This kido must be taught by one who knows the kido.
Incantation and Effect:
The incantation is necessary for the user to cast this kido thus no effect is added to the kido.
"God of space, how vast your domain is. How far reaching the cosmos extends and what many secrets lie hidden away. Open your eyes and see that I have found one such treasure! A display of man's ability to grow and become more than a collection of dust upon your eternally stretching lands! Fire. It had to be fucking fire. The sight of the blazing flames belched forth by Skeletor's steed drew Rio back more than two ages past. On white sands he had fought, and on those white sands he had nearly died. A man, clearly advanced in age, yet untouched by the rigors of time. A sword which must have been baptized by Lord Apollo himself, such was the intensity of the inferno. Controlled, yet blinding. Even in that age, when Rio's trepidation of flame had not been so great, he had felt the worm of doubt sow its seeds in his heart. The battle to come-- if it could have been called that, caused those seeds to quicken and take root.
To see the skeletal rider employing such a weapon again against him once more, almost two millennia past caused that terror to blossom in Rio's breast once again. But with fear, came anger and desperation. Frustration and fury, for in Rio they were much one and the same. This was no longer a matter of pride to the Espada. This was a matter of survival. Flight or fight kicked in in full force, and practically unthinking, a feral howl erupted from three gargantuan jaws at Skeletor while the massive canine sprang to one side to evade the flames, heedless of Skeletor's rampant shockwaves, several of which crashed into Rio-- though the Espada weathered the blows. Between the effects of Ludwig's Bankai, and Rio's tremendous size and strength, the shockwaves merely slammed into the Espada eliciting a primal snarl from the leftmost head. The serpent tail lashed out, responding with a shockwave of Rio's own, a rippling tidal wave of force to bowl Skeletor and his steed end over end and send the two traveling for a bit of a trip.
But if Skeletor believed that the creature would be content to let the summon fly off and deal with its master, it would be a sore mistake. Skeletor had awoken a primal fear in Rio, and the Quinta was not thinking clearly. This would have been an ideal time to go after Ludwig, but in his fury and rage at the use of fire against him, Rio's entire being was bent upon the destruction of the Saturday Morning Cartoon villain.
KILL! KILL IT! KILL IT! Rio used Sonido. It was often a shock to many that something so huge could move so quickly, but Rio was as able to use the Arrancar's step technique just as easily in his quadrupedal state as in his human one, and he exploded at Skeletor with all the speed Sonido was capable of, appearing practically on top of the unfortunate creations, two sets of canid jaws, with fangs like swords snapping shut on Skeletor's torso and legs respectively, and ripping and tugging in an effort to rip Skeletor apart with all the strength Rio could muster. If Skeletor's body held out, courtesy of either his own strength and durability or Ludwig's cartoon physics, eventually the rightmost of Rio's head would win this deadly tug of war, ripping him out by his legs and whipping Skeletor around like a chew toy, torque and intertia against air resistance hammering the unfortunate thing's body, before hurling Skeletor into his mists and stamping down repeatedly with his nearest leg, crushing the cartoon into the acidic mist, hopefully to its destruction.
However, Rio avoided attacking the fire bird at all costs, unwilling to go anywhere near the creature, and if the bird somehow managed to right itself during the shockwave and return, the Espada would avert his attack and retreat again.
Contrary to Ludwig's expectation, sthe Espada did not notice the sky darkening at all, nor the golem's approach. Ludwig had, deliberately or otherwise, invoked Rio's utter aversion to fire, and so to Rio now, nothing mattered except to prevent the fate that had befallen him 2,000 years ago. Ludwig didn't matter, because he was not using fire himself. The golem didn't matter it was not on fire itself. The bird obviously mattered, but, being comprised of fire there was literally nothing Rio could do to it, presumably, were he to attempt to bite it, his fangs would simply pass through it, injuring him and failing to faze the summon, and being of sufficient spiritual power that any reiatsu attacks would be incapable of harming it either. As such, the only entity that mattered to Rio was Skeletor-- the creation that had tried to use Rio's worst fears against him.

Ludwig was panting by the time he'd finished casting his specialized kido. He hadn't realized just how much reiatsu it took to prepare this damn thing. Hell it almost didn't want to be forced into his cartoon gun but thankfully he'd managed to do just that. With the kido loaded into a bullet that was within he was more than ready to deal with Rio. Though what he saw when he finally looked over was . . . concerning to say the least. And confusing. Rio just from a glance didn't look like he was in a sound mind. Not that he could seriously think that Rio HAD a sound mind in any capacity after their "interaction" but he seemed like there was a certain self control prior to now that was sorely missing. Another moment of watching and it finally dawned on Ludwig just what the reason was, and it was his bird. His flaming bird. Ludwig had questions, questions he genuinely would have liked an answer for but at the moment he just needed to deal with him and end this fight once and for all.
With a quick nod to his sandals he quickly sped over. In the meantime however Skeletor was dealing with arguably the most harrowing thing that could have possibly happened to him. It started good when he noticed Rio tanking hits from his super powered shockwaves but quickly devolved from there. The sad thing? He'd never see what was coming his way. Skeletor was in the middle of beginning to laugh his cartoonish villian laugh while throwing more shockwaves with reckless abandon but quickly found himself without a steed. Worse yet however was that instead of finally joining the green hellish mist he was instead grabbed. . . by teeth. . . about his size. . . and god did they hurt. More so than he could have imagined. Yet his body did not split in two. Moments later he would find himself wishing that it had because his upper half would then be bitten off by Rio's other hand and the game began.
Thankfully Ludwig's bankai would prevent his death or being ripped apart but that didn't mean he didn't stretch, twist, bend, and casually break every bone in his body. Hell if Rio were paying attention at all, he might have even heard squeaking coming from Rio as if skeletor were a chew toy. Which frankly given the situation he was. But even then that wasn't to be the end of this torture session as the right head got a hold of him completely and then threw him around. Before finally throwing him into the mist and then stepping on him again. And again. And again. And again. Between having his flesh melted off and then reforming only to meet with Rio's paw there was no way he'd escape on his own. Thankfully his steed would aid him in that endeavor.
His steed had taken the shockwave solid and was thrown back a good distance though to Rio it wouldn't look like it did much but give him some space. Still with enough time, most of it spent on trampling Skeletor, the bird would right itself and begin flapping towards Rio. The worst part being how quick the damn thing had gotten because it decided to turn around, fire a fireball, and then detonate it. The force of the explosion then fired it directly towards Rio and in some sort of cartoon style attack began twisting itself so that it would look more akin to a fiery drill with the beak of the bird being the drill bit. Sadly the attack would miss outright given Rio would be moving back and away from the bird as well as Skeletor. Who by this point was content being melted before subsequently reforming for awhile.
This however meant that it was in prime distance of being grappled by the golem. The golem in the meantime having had Rio come closer than it'd anticipated immediately grabbed onto his tail choking the serpent out in the process and using it's other gun arm to fire a shot directly at Rio's right hind leg. If it was possible to dodge it'd be through damn near teleportation because just the near point blank distance the golems gun was to Rio. The fact the golem had a grasp on Rio's tail would mean unless it actively allowed it's tail to be ripped off it'd be tanking the blast and losing use of his back leg for short while. But still all this paled in comparison to what Ludwig would do in the meantime. See during all this he'd managed to fly over at a speed that would make Rio have more than a difficult time noticing. And given he was in such a crazed state likely wouldn't realize where he was until after the fact.
Once Ludwig was within 20 feet of Rio he immediately pointed his gun at his center mass and pull the trigger. Forgive me for this Adolf. I'm going to make Rio turn into an angry mess of spaghetti. From there a bullet with a mexican bandit hat, a couple rows of bullets, and a bandana around it's mouth was fired out. It had one mission and that was to hit Rio. And there wasn't nothing in the west that would stop it. Even if Rio moved around this thing would still follow the mangey mutt at 1680 speed, namely due to the fact Ludwig had bolstered it's initial firing speed with a Sho. The fact it would follow though? Entirely due to the fact it was sentient and it wanted to take something with it when it went to where ever cartoons go when they die. . . or otherwise get erased.
Regardless of when it'd land the effects would be immediate and Rio would be in for one hell of a ride. To start with Rio would be subject to IMMENSE gravitational force. But not from any sort of spiritual pressure, instead it would be from a small orb only about a foot in diameter that was nigh unable to be seen through and by that point only his tail would see it given it'd hit on Rio's main body behind his heads. Once the gravitational force was exerted however the true terror of the kido would start to take place. Rio would find himself unable to move, even step and worse yet his body would quickly begin contorting and being pulled towards the orb. Hairs quickly would get ripped out. The ground would impale his underside alongside trees, debris from the destroyed land. Worst yet it would also be dragging in the horrid smelling breath he'd produced and forcing it into his face before moving past him.
If Rio didn't find a way to avoid or otherwise prevent the orb from consuming him he'd quickly start to find his entire being getting consumed and crushed by the gravitational force of the black hole. What didn't help him however was that all of Ludwig's summons in the meantime would be dragged into and subsequently start getting absorbed by the black hole. Skeletor, the flaming bird, and even the golem would all be getting dragged in. And worse yet given Ludwig's bankai was active while they were getting crushed they were subsequently reforming. Meaning Rio's tail was still being held onto by the golem. And if Rio ended up joining them he'd still be dealing with getting burned alive by the flaming chicken. This was a fate worse than death given it was constantly damaging them or more likely "killing" them time and time and time again.
So given what Ludwig had let loose it might be strange to say but Ludwig actually managed to get away pretty easily. The reason? He'd opened a door to the dangai and then promptly had his sandals fly him through the hallway to the other door and back out to the Rukongai now 120 feet away. More than enough distance from Rio, his summons, and the currently spaghettifying remains of the land itself. Ludwig was going to have a LOT of explaining to do. Enough that he genuinely wasn't certain how he'd do it but he sincerely hoped this would be enough. This fight needed to end and he needed to force Rio to vacate the area. . . assuming he could without Ludwig's aid after the black hole was done. . . existing. In the meantime Ludwig would simply watch and hope he would get some sign that wasn't Rio finding a way to destroy the orb. Because if he somehow had a way to destroy that? Ludwig wasn't certain what else he'd be able to do at this point.

In the wake of his rage, Rio's mind began to return to him, as his violence upon Skeletor proved successful. Though ages past, buried in the sands of his life, some fragment of that dutiful soldier yet remained deep within Rio. The ceaseless hours standing in formation, shoulder to shoulder with his brothers-in-arms, the man on his right covering Rio's flank with his weighty shield, just as Rio covered the man on his left with his own. Spears held aloft, they struck for hours on end. Until their muscles tore and ached, until their brows were soaked in sweat, until the weight of their own bodies was nearly too great to bear. And still they would hold the line. Because they were Spartans. Because they were soldiers. Indeed, to a Spartan mind, the two were inseparable. A Spartan was a soldier. A Spartan greeted pain and exhaustion as old friends, they would hold the line, they would strike and battle until they were ordered to hold, or until they physically could no longer do so. Discipline was of the highest order to a Spartan.
Two decades may have seemed a paltry amount of time in Rio's four millenia, but that pathetic, miniscule small amount of life had formed a foundation that had been built upon into the monster that stood in the Rukongai today. Even after such time, even in the wake of Rio's fear and fury, that discipline could come forth, and force the Arrancar's mind into recognizing he was making a tactical error. In his anger he had neglected his primary target. The summons were dangerous, yes, but it was the caster that was the true threat. This filthy Shinigami... If it wasn't for his fucking fire bird... Rio came to his senses just in time to feel the Golem grasp his serpent tail, and ready its cannon. More than that, with his four heads, Rio saw Ludwig disappear into a Shunpo. Shit! He's up to something and I have no fucking idea what it is! Rio's thoughts crashed through him with a hatred of such intensity that it could have melted steel. At himself? At Ludwig? At the fucking Fire Bird? At the Golem? Soul Society? The stupid cat? ...All of the above? It didn't matter. Rio was going to have to suffer the price for his lack of focus, and between the Golem's attack and whatever Ludwig had cooked up the choice was obvious.
Ludwig had effortlessly crushed the cat. And while Rafael had been no match for Rio himself, his physical prowess had been considerable. Ludwig had flattened Rafael with little trouble or preparation on his part. And Rio had given Ludwig time to prepare something big. The golem, by comparison, although strong enough to contend with Rio and even outmatch him in raw strength, and that cannon, capable of blowing a hole clear through Rio, was the lesser threat. Discipline. A Spartan greeted pain and injury as an old friend. Rio could accept and endure letting flesh be cut to spare his bones. Allow bones to be shattered to protect his limbs. And would willingly, if begrudgingly lose a limb to safeguard his life. And he would even give his life to strike down a foe, but in this battle his error would cost him.
Rio lunged away from the Golem, with a colossal leap. Not fast enough. The Golem's cannon blew through Rio's hind leg, leaving a blackened, smoking, and wizened husk where the leg had been, but Rio had gotten enough use out of it to commence his leap. The cannon shot had also sheared through the underside of his serpent tail, which, in accordance of Ludwig's Bankai's physics, had begun to cartoonishly stretch, and stretch and stretch, the sheared tail getting narrower and narrower until a suddenl SNAP was heard and a snarl of pain from Rio as the tail was ripped away, and, further amplified by the cartoon physics of the area, not unlike a rubber band, Rio was snapped away from the Golem, spiraling through the air.
Not that this seemed to deter Ludwig, who had fired a projectile after Rio that immediately began to home in on him, chasing him despite the Espada's desperate maneuver. Rio's snake head twitched and looked around uncomfortably in the Golem's hand, tracking the attack that was firing after his main body. The Shinigami knew his Bankai... Rio had recovered from having a hole blown through him earlier... his constructs kept recovering. If Rio was in the Shinigami's position, what would he have done, given time to prepare an attack....? Well that was an obvious question. He'd hit his enemy with an attack that would either damage them so completely that the healing factor of his Bankai could not save them. Or he'd hit them with an attack that could incapacitate them until he could. In either case, Rio knew the set-up for a finishing blow when he saw one, and could recognize as well that with his destroyed leg, and his current trajectory, there was no way he could avoid it and continue battling.
Anger bubbled up in the Espada once more. How dare he. HOW DARE HE!? Rio Demoniogalgo, a creature far superior to the pitiful Shinigami, was being forced to retreat from him. Damn him! Damn him and his fire! "FUCK YOU SHINIGAMI! FUCK YOU LUDWIG! I FUCKED UP TODAY, BUT NEXT TIME YOU WON'T BE SO LUCKY!" Three voices roared at Ludwig, Rio's resentment and anger apparent for all to hear. The air behind Rio cracked, and split open like a giant maw, revealing a black void beyond. Rio crashed through the Gargantua, most inelegantly, his massive form being ill suited for such transport, and vanishing into the blackness, the portal to Hueco Mundo snapping shut immediately after him, Ludwig's bullet a hairsbreadth from pursuing Rio into the rift between worlds. It was uncertain what the bullet would now do with its target presumably beyond its reach, but no doubt Ludwig would be able to use this as an opportunity to mitigate damage to the Rukongai.
After a moment, the serpent tail in Ludwig's Golem's hand dissolved into ambient reishi, indicating that beyond the closed Gargantua, Rio had returned to his sealed form, to stew in his rage and loathing. Ludwig's mission to drive off the Espada had been successful, and with the damage he'd sustained from Ludwig's Bankai-- damage that was like to stick around now that Rio was beyond the reach of its effects, it was unlikely that Rio would be returning anytime in the immediate future. The Spartan was stubborn and very, very angry, but he wasn't a complete fool. He understood that he'd been defeated today. Rio would contemplate long and hard on his infuriating defeat today, and it would certainly be something the Espada would not soon forget.
Resurreccion: 5/16 Reiatsu Remaining: 1200/2000
(Rio has presumably left the thread, pending any future threads to Ludwig. In either case, Ludwig is the winner of this PvP)
