Shizuka wasn't much of a "stranger person," meaning meeting new people to her was about as easy as giving a cat a bath. That went for ordering things at restaurants or cute little snow cone places like this. Talking to people she didn't know wasn't the best idea in the world, and it actually made her go through great pains to talk to anyone who wasn't already her friend. She was a bit of a coward in that regard, but she couldn't help it. She always learned about stranger danger when she was little, and even though she was seventeen now, she was terrified of the world. This made it even worse because she could feel the stare from the girl behind the counter, and she could sense the judgment. She could! It was awful! This girl could have been commenting on anything. Maybe Shizuka's clothes or her hair or her eyes -- Oh, no... Anything but her --...
She got pulled away by Kento and led to a table in a corner where she sat with him for a while. She knew that no one was probably judging her, but that girl was a stranger. She might as well been wanting to bomb her house or something, you know? She could potentially be dangerous! At first, Shizuka stared at the table and didn't look up. Her face got hot and she knew it was probably red. How embarrassing... But she knew a good way to get back at Kento for this. She just needed the right moment. Luckily for her, that came a lot faster than she thought it would. She watched their snow cone be placed in front of them, completely distracted from his staring by the fact that there was food now. She didn't even notice he was looking at her for a little while until she looked up and saw. He didn't blink after a while, and she immediately knew what this was. Stare war.
That was the moment! Perfect! He was probably so sure he would win the staring contest, right? Well... Shizuka blinked! HAHAHAHA! IT WAS ON PURPOSE, BRO. ON. PURPOSE. He was holding her hand as she took a few bites from the frozen treat, which made her blush even more as she attempted to hide it by looking down again. No matter, though. Shizuka sat closer to him instead now, and put her plan to action. He may have won the battle. But he didn't win the war. Shizuka took her hand and casually put it underneath the table by her side, then placed it on Kento's leg and slid it up towards his torso. Or more specifically... A little bit lower. A smile crept up on her face, but she tried to keep it to herself. They were secluded and no one could see them, which was perfect. All she had to do was embarrass him in public once and she'd win. This was hardly even a fight.
Obviously she knew what she was doing. Whenever Shizuka wanted to win something, she cheated and just acted cute or seduced the other person. Even girls sometimes, because girls lived off of compliments. Why not act a little bit too nice? She'd always hear what she wanted to or figure out the information being kept fro her. But in this case, it was winning a silly little game. That wasn't hard, though. She knew how to act with Kento. He was more shy than her when it came to physical stuff like that, especially since he was so much better with words than she was. He always knew what to say and the exact right time to say it, too. Shizuka was jealous of his confidence to do that. However, she knew how to physically show how she felt. But this time, that wasn't the case. She was just cheating.
"Kento?" Shizuka started in a soft voice. "If you really want to fight Sozen, I won't stop you. But I want you to know something." She was being serious at this point, even though she was using it to her advantage. "You're better than he is. So I believe in you."
The smile stayed on her face in a sort of teasing manner now, but she meant what she said. She just wanted to see how he would react to what she was doing underneath the table with her hand. It probably wasn't enough that she was a closet pervert, but she loved teasing him. All Shizuka did was grin at Kento and act as if she wasn't really doing anything, an innocent little trick she discovered that makes the other person focus on what she's doing even more. She basically won that little match, even if he did beat her with the staring contest.
