Andrea smirked as the first two Shinigami arrived. He could sense more on their way, but for now the Captains would do. Or rather, the one Captain. Andrea laughed for a moment as the Captain took Magnus to some secluded location. He could have followed him, killed him, and been on his way. But where was the fun in that. If that Shinigami did kill the Espada then so be it, they were both weak. Both deserving of a hole in the ground and nothing more. The remaining Captain however, he was new. But like the rest of the filthy Shinigami, he was undeserving of such praise. The magnet did it's job in a sense. It was attracting Andrea's Zanpakuto.
But, all that moved was his hand. It was pulled towards the magnetic field. Basically the Shinigami had lined Andrea up for an attack without knowing. Andrea wasted no time, the moment his hand moved into position he fired off a single bala. It was amazingly strong, Andrea's Reiatsu Strength surpassed all in attendance, by a rather large margin. If the bala made impact with the Captain, the outcome would be bad, actually very bad. Against an Arrancar with Hierro it was bad... a Shinigami with nothing was worse.

Nani? What was this? No sooner had Rio destroyed the buildings, but he sensed a massive surge of power. And that wasn’t any ordinary power. Rio sensed from the degree of strength it simply had to be a captain. And not just a captain coming to play. He’d unleashed his bankai. Rio may have been an arrogant and cocky bastard, but he knew a captain’s bankai was something to take with the utmost seriousness. The bankai’s release drew Rio’s attention to Benkei. The distance was such that he could easily see the captain. He saw the captain flex his legs. A lunge? No. The distance was just a little too great. He was going to use Shunpo. Rio knew of the technique. Well. Two could play at that game.
At the exact instant Benkei used his Shunpo, Rio countered with Sonido. Benkei may have been fast in Shunpo. In Shunpo he would have a speed stat of 1000. Unfortunately, Sonido was even faster than Shunpo, and Rio was faster than Benkei. In his Sonido, Rio moved with a speed stat of 1950. All of Benkei’s high level instincts and senses were useless at this instant. Why? Well, if one person is moving at a speed of 1950 and one person is moving at a speed of 1000 in opposing directions, they would pass each other faster than an instant. Hell, given that Rio was nearly twice as fast as Benkei, just perceiving Rio’s movements would be a difficult task. And Benkei was nowhere NEAR fast enough to react to them. Even his high instincts didn’t help his reaction speed. And with Rio being almost 1000 points higher in speed, there was no chance of Benkei having time to react to this. Heck, to Benkei's eyes, Rio would likely appeared to have been in Shunpo TO a guy using Shunpo.
Oh, and one more thing. Rio had extended his arm as he had moved into his Sonido. Why was this important? Because Benkei was about to get clotheslined across his midsection at the velocities they were going. And with Rio’s herculean physical strength and Benkei’s utter lack of physical strength, Rio’s attack was more than capable of easily tearing Benkei in half as they passed each other. And as mentioned before. Benkei had no way of dodging this. He just wasn’t fast enough to pull it off. Even if he saw the attack coming, and even if he somehow could formulate a plan to deal with it, his body wasn’t fast enough to pull that plan off. Not that he really could come up with a plan. You couldn’t alter your course once you entered Shunpo. Benkei not only wasn’t fast enough to react to Rio, but the very nature of Shunpo prevented him doing so until he reached his destination!
And it wasn't like Benkei could use his sand or something block. He'd stated it himself. His sand moved with a maximum speed of 1000. The same speed as his Shunpo. Since he'd used Shunpo before launching his sand, his sand wouldn't be able to catch up! That's assuming he could even see Rio in Sonido, given the difference in their speed and realize the danger he was in, in the instant before he was split in half.
But Rio wasn’t done. He’d only just started. No sooner had his feet touched the ground, where Benkei had been standing he launched into another Sonido, firing himself right back at Benkei, using it to massively accelerate an attack once again. This time the blow was a punch, aimed directly at Benkei’s chest. Once again, at his current speed in Sonido, Rio was simply moving too fast for Benkei to hope to react, even with Shunpo (which would be hard to do, given that his upper torso had almost certainly been separated from his legs anyways). When it connected, Rio’s fist would ram itself straight through Benkei’s heart, utterly destroying the organ and leaving a gaping wound in Benkei’s chest. Such mortal wounds would almost certainly instantly deactivate Benkei’s Bankai (hey it’s alliteration!) if not kill the captain outright.
Naturally, this would also mean that Benkei’s attempted attacks would have failed completely, as he would likely not have been in any shape to try any of them upon reaching his destination. In fact, due to being bifurcated, it was extremely likely his bankai would have instantly deactivated upon the completion of his Shunpo.
OOC: Order is Magnus, Andrea, Rio, Gen, Shade, Anastasia, Benkei, Arhellai. I will post in between, though of course there are quite a few posts I will skip. Don't be slow, guys. I'll post ASAP!
OOC: On second thought, go on with your posting. In this thread, believe it or not, I don't have to do very much. Most of the fighting is between you guys. Every now and then, I will intervene of course.

Well, it looked like Rio's plan had worked. That is...if it had been a plan. The calvary had arrived! Not one but two Shinigami had come, and Captains too! Plus, there were two more on the way. Gen's senses told him they were pretty close and getting even closer. He didn't like that one bit. Two captains and two more on the way. Gen counted the Arrancar there. The Quinta is one. The Sexta is two. The Septima is three....and...four is... He was missing someone. Who was it? Wait! It was him! Crap...that meant that it would be evened out and he would have to do some fighting. But he only came to learn! Oh well, he had come on his own to follow Andrea's advice for him to watch them, knowing full well that he might have to fight. He didn't really like to fight though. He just liked to observe.
That was why he had come here. To observe the strength of the Espada. To see just the kind of strength that he could one day have, though he had no dreams of being an Espada. He could deal without the excessive bickering and fighting amongst ranks and constant fear of someone challenging him. That would add to the fear he already had of someone out there coming to get him and steal his powers away. The powers he had worked so hard to gain. That would be bad for him. Really bad. So that was why he was going to serve under Miss Asuka no matter how strong he got. Plus, he felt like if he served under he, he could live forever. She would protect him if he got in trouble right? He was going to remember to ask her that sometime.
Anyway, though Gen was having this huge dilemma internally, on the outside, he remained pretty calm. His hands were in his pockets and his glowing red eyes blinked blinked a few times within that only eye hole on the mass fitted onto his head. He watched as all of the events unfolded. The Captain could be sensed releasing a massive surge of reiatsu. Was it that Bankai he heard so much about? It seemed he and the Quinta were going to square off. The next thing he knew, the Quinta was gone. And then there were three. Oh nope. Miscounted. That other Captain took the Septima, so now there were two. And Andrea was moving towards the Captain and Rio's fight for some reason. His hand had lifted of its own accord and it was like he was being dragged. Gen saw the Septima's blade leave his side before the Sexta's hand started dragging him forward, so he guessed it had to be some kind of magnetism. But why wasn't he being dragged too? He probably shouldn't be worrying about that now though because the other two were nearing now.
"Everyone is leaving to their own battles. I can't learn if I can't see them..." Gen quietly muttered to himself. The two other reiatsu were closing in fast, but all Gen could do was think about the fights between the other Espada. He lifted his right hand from his pocket and even rubbed his chin as though thinking of a way to get to them to see their fights. "I could just follow and leave Dante-san...though I don't think he would like that. Maybe I should just watch him since he's still here. I wonder where Miss Asuka is..." Gen spoke out loud to himself.
Aru? Two was company, but four's a party! Okay, that's probably not how it goes, but let's pretend it does. Four Shinigami up against four Arrancar. Two other captains would show up. So maybe they have a fair chance against them! All sorts of fuckery was going on. Benkei-taichou went Bankai on all of them. Arhellai-taichou went off into the great unknown. Wait. Oh shit so...what's up with these captains? White eyes darted around everywhere. Everyone went straight to attack mode. She should too right? She wasn't as motivated as everyone else...but she'd also hate to see this place get destroyed. It would rip her heart in half if it did.
Benkei-taichou and that Espada were out of sight for a moment and then her eyes would lock on the other two opponents. Andrea and Gen. Andrea's hand was out. Arrancar were capable of shooting cero and the like. That she knew. They usually held their hand out and then bam. Everything's reduced to ash. He seemed strong. She'd have to stop him if he was going to do anything. Ay dios mio...what if he was charging a cero? She didn't know he was going to shoot a bala. Oh wait....Benkei's magnet. About that..Ehe. Andrea's bala was going to miss Benkei. Why? That ring was pulling on his arm with 370 strength and a 1000 speed. Andrea didn't have enough strength to maintain control of his arm for an extended amount of time like he anticipated. He only had 60 strength. The speed was 1000 so that ring would fly off his finger in the moment his hand would be pointed in Benkei's way. His arm would go flying wildly because the ring was flying off too fast for him to get a good aim, especially in a position like that.
As if that stopped her! Anastasia masked her reiatsu and shunpo'd behind Andrea at a diagonal angle, behind his moving arm. Because she was masking her reiatsu, Andrea probably wouldn't know she was there until the very last minute. His energy sensory was at 50. He wouldn't be able to tell who it was because she was hiding it. As soon as she got out of her shunpo, she twisted her wrist as she reached around his face and slammed her blade into Andrea's eye and gouged that out. Hierro couldn't do jack this time. Hierro was iron skin. He didn't have iron skin on his eyes. That would be weird and rather unattractive. Anastasia's zanpakuto was a nagamaki; a katana with a pole like hilt. What did this mean? She had range advantage and she could get to Andrea's eyes faster. She moved at 260 speed but it would be way too fast for him dodge. His instinct wasn't high enough for him to avoid the attack either. Despite having incredible speed, the brain had to realize what was going on first. Because she moved behind his arm, he couldn't fire a bala or cero at her. Especially since her attack was immediate and he wouldn't be able to sense her until it was too late.

Shade reached his destination at last. He’d been the first to react, and was actually one of the first to arrive. By masking his reiatsu the third seat stayed hidden from the arrancar as help arrived. The san-seki observed from nearly a block away as the fighting ensued. He would not charge head-first blindly into fighting now that others had joined him. A good tool was one that could think for itself, yet still follow orders to the tee. A good tool was one that would adjust to conditions and make use of anything necessary to get the job done. So with emotionless eyes he watched as the other expendable tools do their job and provide him with useful information about the enemy.
“Three espada class, one unknown...” thought the third seat from behind the building. He watched as two captains and a lieutenant arrived. Shade noted Captain Arhellai isolate himself with one of the espada tier enemies. He felt he could trust a captain to deal with a single espada while he chose an opponent for himself. The san-seki recalled his fight with the Segundo Espada, Kuroi Naito. He remembered vividly how he couldn’t even cut through the arrancar’s steel skin. Taking no chances, Shade began converting his spiritual pressure into reiatsu strength.
It came at a large cost, but it was necessary. Hopefully he could cut someone early on and begin to take their reiatsu. He would definitely need it. “STOP STANDING AROUND YOU FUCK-HOLE!!!” screeched the raspy voice of Buraindo Kira itching to fight. For once the third seat agreed with his zanpakutou and cut his finger on his blade and spread his blood across the flat portion of the katana. “Drink... Buraindo Kira...” he said softly as his zanpakutou morphed into a huge zweihander, covered in organs and veins with a gaping mouth in the center of one of the sides. The shikai weighed an astonishing 120 pounds and the third seat wielded it around as if it was nothing. He was now ready to fight, for however short a time that he could.
Without a sound the third seat leapt onto the roof and as Gen, Rio, and Andrea were distracted by the chaos, he leapt off the building directly at the fraccion’s back. The moon was in front of the third seat and Gen would not have any type of shadow to notice. Shade made sure of this. However, the arrancar’s senses were still great enough that he might notice SOMETHING. Shade took this into account. It was always better to be safe and assume your opponent knows you are coming. So as Shade leapt, he turned his blade to the side so that IF Gen turned to see him he would be greeted with a flash of blinding light that would emanate from the shikai’s mouth the instant he turned his head. Gen would remain blind for five seconds minimum if the light contacted with his eyes and the lingering effects would impair his vision. After blinding him, the san-seki would land and follow up with a textbook stab directly at the fraccion’s torso.
However, if Gen didn’t notice him and turn his head, then Shade would simply land behind him, grab him by his neck, and thrust his sword into his back from behind. Whatever the fraccion did, Shade would adjust his entrance accordingly. He had to take full advantage of the fact that no one would see him coming. The element of surprise was a powerful one indeed.

Right as Benkei released his Bankai, he saw the Espada he was targeting react to his approach. He saw the man extend his arm and tense his legs, sensing a spike in Reiatsu. This all happened pretty fast, at least to an observer; the guy did have 150 speed, after all. However, Benkei's instinct was 1000. Everything was perceived in slow motion to him thanks to his outrageous speed of thought, and this was no exception. Okay, so he's extending his arm and about to use Sonido. He's probably trying to clothesline me. I can handle that. Right as he took the step into Shunpo, Benkei enacted a few defenses. He activated the plasma blades with his magnetism, raising them at angles before him such that one would sever Rio's arm at the shoulder and the other would cut him in half when the two came close and shooting them forward. The buttons were depressed and the swords moved at 1000 speed, fast enough for this maneuver to work. Behind the blades, sand particles moving at 1000 speed cascaded down to form a wall one foot thick and five feet wide, covered in three-foot serrated blades pointing straight towards the Espada. Benkei only had a moment to react and form a plan, but he had stunning reflexes and mental speed. A moment to him was 20 to an ordinary person, and he had battle reflexes honed by centuries of combat. His Bankai alone had been around for two centuries! Benkei's use of it to defend himself was second nature.
As Benkei moved forward into Shunpo, the Espada moved at him. This was a really high-speed clash. However, Benkei was certainly in no danger of being torn in half. The Espada's strength was monstrous, but that strength was superfluous. Rio wasn't thrusting his arm forward; he was holding it stationary! That preposterous strength wasn't doing anything since no muscles were being moved forward! He had his Sonido momentum, sure, but strength had nothing to do with that. If Rio had been doing a Lariat, then Benkei would have been in serious trouble, but he wasn't, so Benkei wasn't. Now then, their speedy clash!
There was a very common mistake amongst foes in terms of understanding Benkei's release, or rather not understanding it. When Benkei was moving around, his magnetic field moved with him. Thus, something metal that was stationary within the field was moved with Benkei without active thought! Benkei didn't have to manually move around all of his metal when he used Shunpo! His magnetic field moved with him, causing metal particles held stationary in that field to move along with him! However, at this point, Benkei instinctively forced his steel wall of blades to move forward to meet the Espada, along with the steel-hilted angled plasma blades in front of them. Rio's instinct was pretty high compared to most, but at this speed it was useless. He had no hope of reacting. Benkei's magnetic field moved the steel wall and plasma blades forward with 1000 speed, and they had Benkei's 1000-speed Shunpo moving the magnetic field itself forward to make their functional speed 2000 - devastating to the Espada. He had no hope of changing course in time at the speed he and Benkei approached each other. He was going to lose the arm and the lower half of his body to the plasma blades, and his momentum would carry him forward onto the wall of blades. Rio's Reiatsu Strength was inferior by nearly 100, so the wall of blades would have no trouble cutting through his Hierro and impaling him. The wall itself was a foot thick, so it could handle Rio's momentum. Benkei would continue through to do the same stuff as he had intended before - steal the Zanpakutou of the other Espada.
This was a clash of brute force against technology and tactics. Rio's raw power was comparable to the finest infantry, but Benkei's plasma technology and lightning-fast tactics were more like artillery. It's said that infantry is the queen of the battlefield, but artillery is king. It's very well known what the king does to the queen.
OOC: To keep things running at full speed, I will controll BOTH Magnus and Arhellai whenever any of them is on the turn, so their battle can end ASAP, and so that the winner could join main battle. And also, they fought before, refer to Arhellai´s history, but Magnus does not remembers it, refer to his history.
IC:
Arhellai was shocked. The ghost of the past appeared right here and now to haunt him, in the form of Septima Espada. But then he calmed down in an instant. Well, if he survived, than i will just take care of him here, and go fight others. So Arhellai said: "Long time no see. Now, we can finally finish up our fight. If i recall right, you ran off just when we were about to finish, weren´t you?" Arhellai had just come up with a plan. Simply provoke Espada, throw him off balance and finish him. Arhellai knew that they were rather evenly matched, so he hoped he could end this battle without using his Zanpakutou. As for Magnus, Benkei took his. That was the thing that made job easier for Arhellai.
But Magnus, on the other hand, was really confused. And angered on top of that. What the hell this guy is was talking about? Magnus could´t remember ever seeing, let alone fight ting this guy. Perhaps he could´t remember because of his memory loss. And whenever Magnus remembered his memory loss, he´d get enraged. This time it was no different. "What the fuck are you talkin´ about, Shinigami? I would certainly remember your ugly face if I ever fought you. So stop this bullshit, and start playing!" With those words, he charged at Arhellai, filled with anger, hoping to rip his head off with a single uppercut. After all, Magnus was good at boxing.
What Magnus never took into his calculations, if there were any at all, is that Arhellai was a lot more skilled and perceptive combatant, and that he was a lot more skilled in martial arts. It was child´s play for Arhellai to dodge that attack, and launch a counterattack. He simply moved to the right, and ducked, grabbing an opportunity to hit Magnus in his kidney. Right after that, he followed up with a kick, sending Magnus off to the ground. There was no way that Arhellai was going to let the Espada win. He wanted to bring peace to Soul Society, and right now, that included fighting off the invaders.
Post by Magnus Wonderwizz on Jun 24, 2011 4:56:41 GMT -5
Magnus was stunned. The guy dodged. But before he could do anything, he felt that he was stroke. He felt like his kidney was set on fire. Plus, he got kicked down to the ground right after that. So, thing could be more favorable for him, but he still had a shot of defeating this guy. He simply spun himself while he was falling, landing on his feet. It would take more than this petty kick to bring Magnus down. So Magnus decided it is time for more serious stuff. It was obvious to him that this guy, Arhellai, was just more skilled at hand-to-hand combat. So Magnus resorted to something else. He used Sonido to get above Magnus, and he started to charge a Cero. He knew that Arhellai would suffer baldy if hit. If not... well, he had a few more things on his mind.
On the other hand, Arhellai spotted Magnus above him, and he certainly saw him charging Cero. But, Arhellai knew that was going to be only a distraction, so he decided against dodging it. But he had a better idea. So he went for it. "Bakudo 81: Danku!" Big, transparent barrier appeared above him, stopping the Cero. That way, he discarded what he thought to be Magnuses´ plan, and that was to catch him off guard when he dodges. That would be perfect, but that was not the plan Magnus came up with.
Immediately when Arhellai blocked Cero, Magnus smiled. Here we go. He used his Sonido to get in front of Arhellai, ducked. He used the opening given, and hit him as hard as he could, smashing him into nearby house. It was good. He was slowly getting cutting edge. He would soon end this. So he started leniently walking towards the house. Magnus actually succeeded in smashing Arhellai through the wall, but it created a lot of dust, so Magnus could not see Arhellai. That was his biggest mistake. He should never let his opponent out of sight.
Arhellai, who was smashed through the wall just a few moments later, was already on his feet. he decided to shake thing up a bit. He already knew what to do. "Byakurai!" That was his plan. Immediately afterwards, he followed up with Shunpo. Byakurai cleared up the dust, so he could see position of his foe. He dodged. Perfect. That allowed Arhellai to position himself with Shunpo to get just over Magnus. While in mid-Shunpo, Arhellai already charged another spell, so it was over when he was in position. "Shakkaho!" This time, it worked. He got Espada with this one. But that was not the end of his plan. He still had to to a few more things.
Magnus, on the other hand, was stunned. He saw Byakurai, and used Sonido to dodge it. But then... He spotted his opponent above him, with another Kido charged. There was no time to do anything, so he was hit point blank, and was slammed on the ground. He immediately got up on his knees, but he still didn´t got up on his feet. The kidney already hurt bad before this, and this only made it worse. So, on his knees, Magnus was struck with the realization of the current situation. And the situation was not favorable for him.
Remaining Reiatsu- Magnus: 2600 (-200 for two Sonido, -200 for Cero)
Remaining Reiatsu- Arhellai: 2125 (-600 for Danku, -25 for Byakurai, -50 or Shunpo, -100 for Shakkaho)

Andrea was admiring Rio and Benkei when he noticed. Andrea seemed to have his own issue now. He noticed all too well that the Shinigami had used Shunpo, since his arm wasn't up to block. (The magnetic pull didn't actually happen since Rio interrupted Benkei.) Though the moment he saw her, he was gone. Again with the Sonido. Why? It was such an annoyance really, and rather draining for a step technique. But it was well worth it, since it outclassed Shunpo. Not that it mattered, Andrea was faster then Anastasia anyway.
When Andrea stopped again it was several feet from the female Shinigami. Wait... female... great. The one thing Andrea enjoyed as much, if not more than fighting was girls. Hell, this one was beautiful as well. Well, he had two choices really.. attack or wait. The answer was obvious though, ladies first. If she was to attack, so be it, Andrea would have no choice but to act. If she didn't, well, then Andrea had honestly no idea what he was going to do. What a terrible time for them to meet... honestly.

There was one thing Benkei hadn't accounted for in their clash. Not that he possibly could have. He'd never seen Rio actually fight, so he had no idea of Rio's abilities. Suffice to say, however, that the Espada had some tricks up his sleeve, that he was in no danger of losing his arm. Well. No, that's not true. He was in danger of losing his arm. And that's why he was going to do what he was about to do. Because of his massive advantage in speed, everything Benkei did, even in Shunpo, almost looked like it was in slow motion. Benkei may have had the instinct to percieve this, but Rio was fast enough to do it. Rio didn't quite make out what Benkei was doing, but his instincts, which surpassed even an animals.
Detecting the threat, Rio unleashed a full body shockwave. He didn't know what Benkei was trying, but he did know that his full body shockwaves were as close to a perfect defense as Rio could manage. It was practically a hardwired response, honed by millenia of combat. Physical attacks, while not necessarily USELESS against him, certainly were considerably less effective, due to his ability to produce forceful shockwaves from his body at will. It was a moderately unique ability, even among arrancar, due to his ability to perform it even in his sealed form. It was practically akin to having a forcefield around him. Rio had been alive for more than 4000 years. Because of that extensive lifespan, most of which was spent fighting, Rio could come up with solutions to the majority of situations.
In this situation, the shockwaves erupted from his arm instantly, ramming into the defences Benkei had attempted to erect with the force of a speeding truck, before Rio himself struck them. At the same time, Rio tensed his arm, so that there would be no give to it when it struck Benkei. It may not have been a Lariat, but due to his immense strength, at the collision, Rio's arm was not going to move. As far as Benkei was considered, Rio's arm may as well be a steel bar. Unyielding. Additionally, the velocity would magnify the force immensely. At this point, Benkei's blades would have been deflected away from Rio by his shockwave.
As for his wall. It is possible Benkei may have managed to retain it, however the shockwave would have at least caused it to stop its movement. Which meant, since Benkei could hardly cancel his movement mid-Shunpo, he'd crash headlong into it at full speed. If the barrier was suitably strong (assuming a steel-like strength), it would cause Benkei extreme injury. Of course it was more than likely that under the considerable force of Rio's shockwave it would simply shatter. Which would be just as bad, if not worse, as Benkei's defense against Rio's initial blow would have vanished, with no time to enact a second one, given that, even at its high speed, it was barely faster than Rio himself was. And given that the two were now, in mid stepping-technique, barely more than a few feet from each other, there was no time. Go ahead. Blink. With the distance between them as it was, they could have passed each other five times at that point. Rio's shockwave, at best, would have turned Benkei's own defenses into an attack against him. At worst, it would have scattered them, rendering Benkei defenseless against Rio's blow. With the difference in their strengths, it didn't matter that Rio wasn't using any particular techniques, or even was only "holding out his arm." Compared to his strength, Benkei had the durability of a twig. If you hold your arm out the window of a speeding car, and it collides with a twig, that twig is going to snap in half.
Reiatsu remaining: 2900 (since the second Sonido never happened/has not happened yet)
Post by Gen Shizuo on Jun 24, 2011 16:16:48 GMT -5
OOC: Decreasing Spiritual pressure total by 60 to increase Reiatsu strength total.
IC: So much was going on all at once. Even Andrea was getting attacked now. And then there was one. Gen was all by himself. Well, at least he could watch Andrea fight. Some Shinigami had apparently attacked him. He looked like he was in trouble, but Gen wasn't going to interfere. As a Fraccion, he knew his place. Plus, Andrea wasn't his boss, so he wasn't really going to rush in and help him like he would if it had been Miss Asuka. Andrea had been a nice guy to him and all, but Gen felt like if he helped him, he would probably get mad at him. All that pride and what not. Instead of thank Gen, Andrea might probably scold him or worse...blast him with a cero or something. So Gen chose to stay out of that one.
While he was thinking about that, Gen got a little more fearful and cautious that he was going to be attacked next. Even though he looked so calm on the outside, he was freaking out on the inside. He could tell he was next. He was the only one left! Instinct told him something was coming. He could feel it! It was the same way with how animals could always tell a storm was coming. Danger was in the air! Stranger danger! That was why Gen began converting his spiritual pressure into reiatsu strength. His reiatsu was strong, don't get him wrong, but with his overly cautious nature and fear, he felt like he needed some more reassurance. So, by doing that, he would have his reiatsu done charging as Shade was launching his strike. It wasn't until Shade was in midstrike and descending upon Gen that he actually realized that an attack was coming. Not exactly realize, but have that gut feeling tell him so via his instincts. Though, it was too late to do anything now. Gen had just finished charging his reiatsu the moment Shade landed and initiated the attack.
That meant that Shade's attempt to grab his neck and shove his blade into Gen's back would go off without any problems. Well, sort of. There was one slight problem. Well two. With those two scarves wrapped around his neck, Shade's grip wouldn't be as tight as he wanted it. Second, the blade simply stopped. It was as though Shade had stabbed his blade into a very thick steel wall. It didn't go through! Yep, that was Hierro for you. That good old Hueco Mundo made steel skin. Gotta love it. "You're interrupting my observations..." Gen spoke in that soft, monotone voice of his. This guy was interrupting him. He was learning and he went and attacked him. That's rude man! Gen wasn't going to give this guy a break for that one and plus, this was an attack on Soul Society ordered by Sonken Kouhai himself. Gen wasn't going to disobey him. He began charging a cero in his right hand the moment he spoke in response to the stab. It flared, and then he aimed his hand backwards, firing it off. However, it wasn't going to go very far because it disappeared right after being fired out. Next second, it was firing right into Shade's back. Gotta love that Cero Artimaña. It worked wonders.
Shade probably wouldn't be expecting that. The reason Gen had aimed his palm backwards was to scare Shade. It would get him to jump back in an attempt to get away from the cero. Either that or just dodge somehow, however, little did he know that once the target was picked, there was little dodging it unless it could be seen coming. But there was no way that it could be seen coming. The blade piercing his back told him his attempted assailant was behind him. So with that information, that meant that Gen could direct the target as the reiatsu signature he sensed behind him. Shade's. With Shade as the target, even simply jumping back wouldn't help him dodge the cero since it would be coming from behind him. Plus, if he had jumped back to avoid it, he was going to be jumping right into it. If he dodged by moving away with a shunpo, the cero would still reappear there and hit him in the back since it was locked onto his reiatsu as the target. Either way, if that cero hit Shade, it was going to do some powerful damage. Gen's reiatsu strength was more than Shade's own....160 more to be exact. That cero was going to hit him from behind and wash over his body, sending third degree burns across the majority of his back and the back of his arms and legs. The pain from moving with those kind of burns would be enough to incapacitate him for the rest of the battle. Well, that's what happens when you mess with Gen while he's observing.
Gen's Remaining Reiatsu: 1720(-280 for Cero Artimaña)

OOC: Time for me to jump into the fray.
IC: Zieg too had received the alert; an arrancar invasion. Shade, his third seat, had rushed off ahead of him, no doubt eager to strike a blow to the enemy. Zieg, however, was taking his time, keeping track of where his third seat was going as he moved at a slower running pace then the male purposefully, positioning him several meters away from Shade. The main reason Zieg had done this was to provide enough space for him to surprise whatever opponent Shade was going to attack directly. He knew Shade, he had battled with him, the shinigami's fighting style brutal and effective in close quarters combat. Zieg had learned this first hand when he tested the third seat in combat. For this reason, Zieg kept his distance as they reached their destination, further then a block away from the attacking arrancar. Zieg could not tell tell of course if they were Espada, Fraccion, or any other kind of arrancar, he only could see their uniforms that marked them as such spiritual beings. Anyway, Zieg felt the surge of reiatsu from Shade, along with seeing his huge shikai form, indicating the release of his shikai. So Zieg took the opportunity to also release.
"Lock and Load, Soshi Tanjuu." Zieg murmured calmly, his zanpakuto flashing white as he suddenly ran forward for the building that the arrancars, in which Shade and he spotted, were ontop of. In an instant he was wielding his shikai, two silver metallic revolvers. Following in pace behind Shade, whom had just jumped up towards the rooftop, Zieg performed the same exact action, landing in the same spot Shade was at a second ago. Zieg watched as his third seat was racing towards an arrancar with his head wrapped up in...towels? No, turbans, or at least that was the correct word for what the arrancar was wearing but Zieg did not know this. While Shade was attacking Gen upfront, Zieg had leapt off and landed on the arrancars rooftop, moving in a leftward arc towards Gen, his original plan being to attack the back of the arrancar's right shoulder blade. While running, Zieg saw the signs of his third seat about to use his shikai's blinding technique, indicated by him facing the mouth of his blade at Gen, so Zieg looked to the left for a moment before looking back to see Shade driving his blade into Gen's back. However, this changed as Zieg witnessed Shade's blade halted by the arrancar's hierro. The attack had failed, Shade's blade size and strength was not enough to pierce through the reiatsu strengthened hardened skin that was Hierro. Luckily, Zieg was in a position in which he could assist Shade from taking damage. Nowhere near melee range of the two of them, Zieg was able to see the glow of reiatsu forming in Gen's right hand, obviously a cero. Wasting no time, Zieg lifted up his right revolver and fired at Gen's glowing right hand, Zieg coming to a halt, a bullet of reiatsu blazing out of his revolver at the target, traveling at a stat speed of 400. Gen would of course hear the gunshot and perhaps would have seen Zieg, if he had taken the time to look behind him at all. Shade was way closer then Zieg was, and Shade was the only one whom had attacked. Zieg's bullet, being much faster then Gen and giving him no reason to move his hand, would blow a hole right through his hand, connecting with the target right as the cero was finishing its charge.
The bullet piercing his right hand, it would not only interrupt the cero he had almost finished charging but it would cause it to explode and scorch the arrancar's arm and side along with lightly burning Shade's arms. "Shade, stand aside." Zieg loudly stated in a calm tone, though he clearly gave the order to him. Spinning his left revolver around swiftly on his index finger, his eyes narrowed into a glare as he focused on the arrancar. "Go, support the others, Ill make short work of this one." Zieg grinned, dropping his right revolver into its leather gunholster, in which he wore around his waist. "Oi oi, Arrancar, your fight is going to be with me." Zieg declared, then vanished out of sight using a shunpo. He appeared this time up in the air, positioned looking down at the arrancar's left shoulder. Zieg glid back across the air ground while at the same time, aiming at first the side of Gen's neck, then the square of his back, firing a shot off in rapid succession at both targets. With a bullet traveling at these targets, Gen had to either evade or block in some kind of fashion.
