Before the conversation was over, and subsiquently before Brock left, Taien remembered he had some therorum and hypothesis to give to him. Taien got his duplicate notes out and handed them to Brock.
"Oya oya! Almost forgot to give you these! I hope you like reading them as much as I did writing them! Perhaps we could discuss these on a later date, as it seems you have things that need to be done still."
and as if an after thought, Taien also said,
"Reti-Sensei sends his regards!"
On that note, it was finally time to eat! Taien walked over to a table to get his food. Food always was good after a lecture.

"Preserving the past, developing the future. That's what the Kidou Corps stands for." -Taien Hadohou
Rin eyed the captain that approached her as she fanned herself. The more he talked, the more Chimeiyoki rambled on about fighting him and all sorts of ways to torture him. In some ways, Chimeiyoki was a reflection of Rin's desires. Rin only objected to her suggestions because she'd get in trouble for it. Or simply because it honestly was a bad idea. But...what if she could get away with it? What if it was a good idea? Well...That remains open to speculation. Rin wasn't stupid after all. Pulling the sort of stunts she suggested was a guaranteed death sentence. The thought of an empress in jail wasn't a pretty thought either.
"Oya oya, greetings Rin-Fukutaicho! My name is Taien Hadohou, I will be your subordinate in the future. It is a pleasure to meet you!" Rin turned her head in the direction of the voice and she'd smile. "Hello, Taien-san. The pleasure is all mine. I look forward to working with you in the future~" she said with a jovial tone. Awh. New subordinates! Those always made her happy. They were always so adorable and exciting to work with. Learning their abilities and what not. "Oya oya! See you later, Rin-Fukutaicho!" "Sayonara~" Rin said as she waved goodbye and returned her attention to the captain. "Training would begin whenever you feel you are ready for it. it may be grueling or it may not be, so make sure to come prepared either way. Expect the Unexpected... Excuse me one moment please, I apologize for the interruption." Rin blinked confusedly. Interruption?
The fiery empress raised an eyebrow. A captain honestly wasn't hard to pick out here. A captain's presence stood out more than anything. He hadn't gone far off. In fact, with her senses, she could hear him a little. Grueling training, ne? Well...No pain no gain, right? Rin then turned to Kaen. "Ne...I'm not sure about this one.." she muttered to herself. She can take him down. She knew she could! But if he knew kidou then he would definitely be of some help.
In fact, I believe this will conclude today's lecture. I hope you have all gained something today. I know I have. I direct your attention now to the tables to your left." And so...The empress looked to the left. And what she saw officially made her the happiest girl in Seireitei. "S...S...Su...Sushi..." SUSHI and SAKE! Rin's fanning began to speed up as she got exciting. Wait! What kind of sushi! Rin stopped fanning for a moment and began to sniff the air like some kind of animal. Really, it was ridiculous...but she could only pull this off with sushi. "Oh! It's spicy tuna~!" she chirped excitedly as she resumed her fanning. She was like a bloodhound when it came to this sort of thing. Rin stood up. "Thank you, Brock-san~!" She called out to him merrily.
b]"Brock-sensei is honored by your presence this afternoon. He hopes you will sit and enjoy some refreshments." Rin gingerly took the plate and cup. "Thank you~" she smiled at the student. Rin clasped her hands, chopsticks in hand. "Itadakimasu~" she chirped. She began to pick up one of the rolls with her chopsticks. Sushi made empress so ridiculously happy. Nothing can ruin her mood now~!
Wow. Lots of stuff happened in a very short time! First and foremost, there was Lucious-taichou. Well, to be honest, Rin seemed to be onboard with the idea. Agh... oh well... least I know it won't be boring...[/color] Hara was replying to the question quite quickly though. In the class, Kaen heard that Taien kid asking more questions. Wow, he was excited! Huh. Go figure. It was a good quality to have, Kaen guessed... agh, but he had to pay attention to Hara. Knowing the applications of Tenran didn't matter nearly as much when you couldn't use it anyways. Besides, it wasn't a very commonly used kido. Tornado of fire though.... hey, there was an idea Kaen could use! Hell.... could Hachiryuu shape its flames into wind? There was nothing wrong with it in theory... the only flaw being that Kaen would have to physically be able to visualize wind, and its properties. Aiyaa... that'd be a real struggle. How do you visualize and analyze the properties of wind? This is why making swords, axes and shields was much easier!
Anyways. Hara-taichou was answering the question, and Kaen liked what he was hearing. Expect the unexpected? Awesome. That was the best kind of training! On paper anyways. He would have to see if Hara could meet up with his standards. He wanted to leave this training bloody and beaten! Ah! Aaaand now he was gone. Huh. Whatever then. Hara was off chatting with someone else. That meant Kaen could pay attention to the lecture!
"Well, this sounds entertaining, doesn't it, Rin-fukutaichou~" He said to his Vice Captain. Hell, just because he COULD listen to the lecture didn't mean he WOULD. This was Kaen Youji. Really, would anyone honestly have expected anything else from him? Possibly, but it would have therefore been met with extreme dissapointment. Kaen grinned a bit as he asked his question, and then glanced at the front. Seemed the lecture was ending. The Taien kid was giving his farewells, notably addressing Rin. Kaen couldn't help but smirk a little at that.
Ah, but wait. Kaen had missed something. There was something with the tab- oh! Were they being offered refreshments!? Wow. Now Kaen actually felt bad about missing so much of the lecture. Well. Not MISSING so much as not paying it much attention. Kido was cool and all, but he couldn't use it. Still, this had given Kaen some WICKED ideas for Hachiryuu in battle. Ideas that his Vice Captain would no doubt be the test subject of. At some point in time.
Kaen didn't go up immediately though. That would be rude. Captains and Vice Captains first right? Rin seemed excited about it. Kaen did know she loved her spicy tuna. He'd learned that after their first match. She hadn't exactly been secretive about it, and Kaen was pretty certain she was resisting the urge to squeal at the idea. The effect that being in public caused in her never failed to amuse the san-seki.

Earlier: Manabu accepted the notes from Taien. "Ah, I will be very glad to discuss these! I'll read them tonight. Tell me, do you know Kisune Karnon? He's a first-year student as well." Actually, Manabu hadn't seen Kisune around lately. Perhaps he had been sick?
Now: Manabu was still standing by the table at which at least Rin was eating. It looked like Kaen-dai-san-seki had wanted to eat, but for some reason he completely ignored the students offering food and seating. Well, Rin would eventually notice him, though it probably wouldn't be until she finished her current plate. Manabu liked his Fukutaicho. She was a pleasant person despite being royalty. He was looking forward to another opportunity to talk with her. The last time they had any real interaction was when they patrolled together. Even Enma-taicho had been part of their mission that day! Manabu was thankful, though, that he wasn't attending today. It was hard to lecture while sleeping.

Hara felt like the conversation was dying so he felt it neccessary to say his goodbye and go visit someone else now that the lecture was over, hoping the three shinigami would get back to him before he had to get back to his duties. "I give my appollogies but i have someone i must go speak to, i hope to hear back from you on the subject at hand very shortly" with that he gave a bow and headed towards where manabu was standing, upon reaching him he bowed slightly towards the man. "Job well done brock, although i do not completely entertain the idea of this lecture you had it seemed like some of the students learned something new today that will make Seireitei more powerfull in the future." The captain extended his hand out to shake Manabu's, this was probably a great moment from him to get praise from a Captain like Lucious-Taich, although Lucious was not a well respected captain he non the less was a captain.

Manabu's eyes widened as Lucious approached. A captain was talking to him! He wasn't even giving him orders! IT WAS A COMPLIMENT! What's this now? His hand? A handshake!
Best
day
EVER!
Manabu had a moment of indecision. Captains aren't supposed to be touched. They're not even supposed to be looked at in the eye. Not for him anyway. Now, Manabu was suddenly faced with an extended hand. Well, it would be rude to leave anyone's hand out, and it would be inexcusable to be rude to a superior. Manabu steeled himself, took the captain's hand, and shook it. It was just like he'd always imagined.
"I am honored beyond capacity, Lucious-taicho. Thank you."
