((Yoko is Training for CTP))
Who didn’t love a good fight? Among the people that Yoko Kusanagi hung around with, there were very few who wouldn’t get a good kick out of beating the crap out of each other. Through her circle of acquaintances and sparring buddies she had gotten a good rumor. Apparently a literal fight club had formed in Karakura. It was taken right out of the movie from what she had gathered. Abandoned warehouse? Check. People beating the crap out of each other? Check. No one was supposed to tell anyone about it but did anyway? Also check. All that was missing from what she had heard was a charismatic cult leader bent on destroying the government. All in due time most likely.
The club’s next meeting, as luck would have it, was that very night. Yoko wasted no time with her preparations. The outfit she had on was already good enough to blend in to a crowd like that decently well. It was her standard fare. Black short shorts and pair of thigh highs in the same color for her lower half, all held up by a gray belt. Her upper half was dressed in a black tanktop and hoodie, with some red edging on the outer layer to break up the monochrome monotony. As for accessories, there was naught but a pair of black riding gloves. She normally had a necklace with this outfit, but she opted not to wear it to such a seedy location. It was a relatively unassuming look overall, and she’d blend into the background pretty easily dressed like that.
Well after the sun had gone down for the day, Yoko made her way to the outskirts of Karakura to the address she had been given. She didn’t go there expecting to actually find a good brawl or anything. Normal humans couldn’t actively challenge her anymore. No, she was there as a talent scout. Whether it was just more goons for the security team at Uzaki Enterprises proper or a gem in the rough, she was there to try and find people worth making something out of. Her hopes, given this was Karakura Town, were twofold. First and foremost, she hoped that she wouldn’t be recognized. Her face had been on TV a few times lately with some of the incidents she had dealt with, and chances are the room wouldn’t take kindly to her being there.
More importantly though, she hoped that she might find a new recruit for the spiritual side of Uzaki Enterprises. Yoko was always looking for new talent, and tonight was a promising lead. In Karakura Town there was a massive abundance of spiritually aware humans, and those turned into Fullbringers with proper training. That was her hope for the evening. She wasn’t quite sure how she would go about finding them, but places like this tended to be a breeding ground for warriors. With any luck she’d be able to find a new recruit or two, and if not then at least she’d get to blow off a little bit of steam. She really did hope that she found someone though, as that was her main reason for going in the first place.
She found the place without any real trouble and parked her bike in a nearby alleyway. She entered the warehouse with her hood pulled up overhead in a basic attempt to hide her face. Once inside, she found basically exactly what she expected. A crude display with poor illumination and temporary structures only. A ring of people had formed in the center, and one man spoke to the crowd. ”You all remember that tonight is tournament night right? Same rules as always! No rules in the fight except for no weapons. Anything else goes. Bets in that corner! Signup in that one!” The man had gestured towards a few men who had a cashbox and one who had a tablet in order.
Yoko made her way over to the signup location. ”Name?” She replied without even thinking about it. ”Kusanagi.” Shit. Recognition dawned on the man’s face after only a slight pause. ”Kusanaaaa…..” He stopped midname and looked up at her only to find a horribly unamused look on the Fullbringer’s face. ”You aren’t here to cause trouble are you? There’s no laws against what we’re doing!” Her eyes rolled so hard at this that it’s a miracle they didn’t fall out of her head. ”I literally could not care less about the definitely unsanctioned betting corner that’s been outlawed since the Meiji Era. Just sign me up so I can punch people.”
Through the magic of her resting bitch face and a presence far more intimidating than should be possible on such a small frame, Yoko got her way. The man gulped, nodded, and wrote down her name. ”Next!” There was idle chatter around her as she made her way back over to the ring of people. She’d been made, but oh well. The only thing she had to worry about was her opponents conceding first since they weren’t about to stop her from taking part. What better way was there to scout talent then to punch it in the face after all? For the kind of talent she was looking for, she was convinced that as the best way to find it.
Some time passed before the registration finished and the fights began for the night. ”Our first match of the night will be one to keep your eye on folks. A newcomer takes on an old favorite! Give it up for Greggo as he shows our new friend Kusanagi how we do things in the underground!” A roar ripped through the crowd as a mountain of a man parted them like the red sea. He was shirtless, smelled like wet ass, and looked like he’d lost a few fights with a lawnmower. Exactly the kind of person that Yoko knew she’d get no enjoyment out of fighting. Oh well. She did what she had to do.
A bell was rung and the fight was on. Greg charged at her and threw a series of wild haymakers. He was obviously untrained, and relied on his sheer size to fight. The Fullbringer bobbed and weaved around his blows as if he moved in slow motion. His entire opening salvo was dodged without her even removing her hands from the pockets on the side of her hoodie. The man backed up and charged at her once more, though this time he went for a tackle. Yoko had dodged thus far because she didn’t want to touch such a smelly man, but she eventually had no choice if she wanted to end the fight. She had to fight back.
With disdain visible on her face the Fullbringer moved her right hand from her jacket. She sidestepped the charge and swept his legs. A close observer would notice that she never actually made contact, but rather a small gust of wind had knocked his legs out from under him. She had used Fist of Unbroken Air simply to avoid touching the man. Knocking him down wasn’t good enough though. A follow-up punch was thrown at his head that utilized the same technique. Again, it was used simply so that his stench wouldn’t get on her. She held back most of her strength. Only enough was used to knock his head back into the concrete floor and render him unconscious.
"I think that’s it for this one folks!” The announcer made his way over and verified the knock out. Calling that a fight had been generous, but Yoko advanced on to the next round all the same. She drifted back into the crowd and watched the other rounds, eyes ever busy in their search for talent or a display of spiritual power. After many other fights had concluded, it was time for the second round to start. She hoped that she would at least fight someone who knew how to take a shower this time. If they knew how to fight too, that would only be a bonus. At this point she just wanted to make it through the night without smelling like vodka and ass.
”Our next match, the first of tonight’s quarter final rounds will be Kusanagi vs…” She had already made her way out into the center of the ring by the time her name was stated. Yoko waited for her opponent, and let them open however they chose. Unless something truly bizarre happened, Yoko wasn’t even sure she’d have to remove her hands from her pockets after seeing most of the first round. Then again, it’s possible that someone else in the crowd had held back too. That would make it tricky. If things actually got dangerous though, she could always just use some form of reiatsu and be perfectly safe from the likes of normal humans. All she knew is that she had low hopes for the next round after Greggo.

{Fist of Unbroken Air}Technique Name: [Fist of Unbroken Air]
Class: [1]
Technique Type: [Martial]
Usable By: [Anyone who meets the requirements: 800 strength AND have mastered Low Pressure AND have a 3 in either Kunlun or Baguazhang]
Technique Element: [Wind]
Technique Description and Effects: [This technique is something developed by Yoko after mastering Low Pressure, and reaching a truly high level of strength. Those with incredible strength are generally able to fire of shockwaves of raw power that can unleash terrible devastation. Such shockwaves have even been known to bypass Hierro. An unintended side effect of Low Pressure was that her shockwaves did not develop in the same way as most high-strength fighters. Instead of striking so hard that she shatters the air, her strength lets her "push" the air. At the most basic level, the difference between shockwaves and this technique is that the shockwave will "punch" things and this technique will "push" things.
Effectively, this technique allows Yoko to use her physical prowess to send out blasts of air. At learned or proficient status, it is only good for basic, ki-blast style gusts of wind from the hands or feet. The bursts of wind push things with force equivalent to Yoko's physical strength. That's the thing though. This technique doesn't cause direct damage, it just sends things flying. Granted, those who horribly neglect their strength may still get injured. If Yoko's physical strength exceeds that of the target by at least five times (ie: less than 160 strength target when Yoko has 800 strength) then they will still suffer bruising on impact. If her strength exceeds theirs by ten times (ie: less than 80 strength target when Yoko has 800 strength) then broken bones are expected. On the off chance that Yoko manages to exceed their strength by twenty times (ie: less than 40 strength target when Yoko has 800 strength) the impact alone is likely to incapacitate them. However, ALL impact damage is completely negated by any skin defense (ie: Hierro) or armor that can withstand at least one fifth of Yoko's strength (ie: Fancy Suit Mk 1 or Amaya's Tattersall Bindings). That won't stop them from going flying though, unless the defense specifically negates stuff like that (looking at you, Blut).
Regardless, the real risk of injury is what happens when they STOP moving. Slamming into walls at high speeds is rarely fun without high strength. If an emeny is hit by Fist of Unbroken Air, then they will go flying at a speed equal to Yoko's strength. The strength of this technique technically works off of impact strength, since it is a martial technique. That means it can be combo'd with techniques like Impact, and can bypass the 3x cap.
Mastery grants a finer level of control. The gusts of wind can be shaped to a degree. With mastery, Yoko can do things like change the gust to be a thin stream of air, a crescent, or even a sphere. Only simple shapes though. No sending any realistic drawings of Ben Franklin at anyone with this technique. The other advantage of mastery is that Yoko can launch the technique from any muscle she can flex. Tensing up everything at once can even briefly create a sphere of air around her that repels any weaker attack! Mastery also allows this to be used with weapons, assuming the user has a 3 in that weapon skill. Really though, the best perk of mastery in Yoko's eyes is the ability to hold back. With mastery the strength of this technique can be reduced as low as 1/10th of her current strength.
As a purely martial technique, this does not cost any reiatsu. Despite that, the gusts of air can clash with reiatsu. If the margin is close enough that the techniques cancel out, then the other technique will just be stopped in its tracks, and probably explode. If the margin is high enough that Fist of Unbroken Air completely overpowers the other technique, it will actively redirect it back along the path that Fist of Unbroken Air was following.]
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [At learned or proficient: punch or kick without holding strength back, and a blast of air comes out. With mastery, any movement or muscle flexed can send a burst of wind flying.]
Technique Drawbacks: [First, there are strict requirements to learn this technique. A minimum of 800 strength is required, as well as a 3 in one of two martial arts (listed above). A previous technique is required to be mastered, and that technique requires points in Calm Mind. Also, like Low Pressure caused Gravity Crushing to be lost forever, Fist of Unbroken Air causes the basic shockwave ability to be forever lost. Also, this technique will basically never do damage against a fighter of equal class unless they are standing next to a brick wall and have both low strength and no defenses. It's more of a defensive counterpart to shockwaves, which limits the damage output significantly. Oh, it can also be completely resisted (like, the target won't even move an inch) if they have strength 50% higher than Yoko. Others can resist being blown away by a variety of methods, including random stuff like Soul Commanding the ground they're standing on to be really sticky.]
Made By: Yoko Kusanagi
Reserved?: [Yes, but can be taught to, and mastered by, others if Yoko chooses to teach them all the secrets.]
