A New Evaluation From The New Boss

[Ryo Suzuki]

Ryo came forward; it seemed so far that his plan of trapping her hands behind her back worked, preventing her from stopping his blade strike. However, as expected; she was no fool and managed to avoid his shikai's blade in the nick of time, hoping upwards and, foolishly, using the inner of her thighs to grab his blades. What she didn't seem to realise was that these were not oridanary blades that she would be used to; these were blades of pure plasma; the fourth state of matter and something you don't want so close to your body. The blades would cut into the flesh of her thighs, causing some slight bleeding before hissing, boiling and turning into gas as the sheer heat of the plasma cooked it.

He felt her attempting to pull him upwards via the blades, which was a good attempt. However, his shikai had another useful ability. Unlike a solid blade, he could turn his on and off at will, like a light switch. So, he simply twisted the blades to the left a little and the blades shut off, leaving him where he was as she did her backflip. As she did so, He raised his fingers up, forming a yellow energy triangle with three small claw-like pillars at each points.

"Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into three: Bakudo number 30: Shitotsu Sansen!" He spoke aloud and as she completed her backflip, he fired them; he aimed the first one for her neck, the second for her left thigh and the third for her right thigh. Especially as he used the full incantation, it would be much stronger and, theoretically, harder to avoid all of them.

Then, As they fired off, he would turn his blades back on and attempt to slash her in a arc from the bottom to the top, then flash step around to face her back and then attempt another arcing slash going from top to bottom.

Technique Name: [Bakudo #30: Shitotsu Sansen (Beak Piercing Triangle Beam)] [Proficient]

Technique Description and Effects:
This starts as a golden triangle between one's fingers, and then fires out three small sized pillars of yellow light toward the target. If even one hits, the others home in. Three parts of the target's body will then be pinned to a solid surface, such as a wall, by this technique. The pillars pin three places in the shape of a triangle.
How to use technique:
Requires the caster aim at a target, not unlike any average Hado.
Incantation and Effect:
The incantation increases the reiatsu strength behind the technique by 15%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength valued at 100 is instead weighed in at 115.) "Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into three!"

Shikai: 2/10 and 1/3 for reset of side effect.
Reiatsu: 500/1,200 (-50 for Shitotsu Sansen, -25 for flash step)

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Kimiko was glad to see that Suzuki was the type that wouldn't simply rely on kido against opponents having a personal disagreement against the shinigami art of magic. Suzuki seemed to be decent at employing the spells into a fighting style that revolved around both kido and zanjutsu as he released his zanpakuto and rushed towards her. He wasn't fast that much Kimiko could see easily although his swordplay was decent enough. It wasn't long ago that Kimiko had been training another of her subordinates that employed two swords.

These was definitely a difference between the swords that Kimiko was used to facing off against and the blades that her subordinate had just released. Kimiko didn't find out this bit of information until her thighs were closing in on them and she could feel the heat radiating off of the blades. Pushing off the ground with the palms of her hands to avoid touching the blades was possible, but Suzuki didn't seem the most confident individual. Kimiko had experience dealing with those that believed themselves lower than accurate and so following through may perhaps aid Suzuki in gaining some of his confidence again.

Kimiko could feel the flesh on her thighs burning as she bent backwards and flipped away from Suzuki. As Kimiko placed her hands back down on the soft grass below her she bent her head backwards making sure that Suzuki was in view. She could see the motions of her arm and the golden reiatsu that tracked it all and knew which technique he was employing due to her experience facing off against kido. In the next moment as Suzuki finished speaking the golden reiatsu triangles rushed forward and Kimiko smiled bending her elbows and pushing herself up off the ground up high into the air reaching thirty feet above where she had just been.

"A little to slow Suzuki." Kimiko spoke loud enough that her voice would carry down to Suzuki easily allowing him to hear her comment about his strategy. Just as the force she had utilized to reach the height of thirty feet reached its limit and she began to descend again Kimiko pulled her wrists apart snapping the kido connecting her wrists in an instant. Kimiko would fall to the ground in the next three seconds and as she reached the end Kimiko would begin to flip forwards like a ball only to hit the ground with her forearms while bending her legs forward sending a shockwave out towards Suzuki that possessed a force of 600.

Ryo watched her leap into the air, avoiding his strikes with his blade. He studied her motions as she told him in her clear voice that he was a bit too slow with his motions. This he knew, yet he felt something was off and it wasn't her comment, it was more like she was trying to distract him from her movements by undermining his efforts.

This seemed to become true as he saw her reach her thirty feet height as she shattered Sai with ease as he expected and drove towards the ground at high speed, flipping around before slamming her fists into the ground, causing the very earth to shake as a shock wave shot out at Ryo, blasting him backwards. Thinking fast, he casts his right hand towards a nearby tree.

"Bakudo #4: Hainawa!" He called out as the yellow band of energy flowed out from his right hand and lower arm, firing out and wrapping around the tree and using it to keep him from being blown back too far. He then got a idea. He used the momentum of the shock wave his captain made to swing himself around the tree and, as he around facing his captain, he snapped Hainawa and flung himself towards, his shikai aiming for her heart.

If she moved upwards, he would leap up after her, then use advanced air ground to form a curve so he could run up it and get above her, appearing to be standing upside-down before he would attempt to slash her from above.

If she moved backwards, he would push off and use flash step to close the distance before attempting to slash her in a vertical arc.

Technique Name: [Bakudo #4: Hainawa (Crawling Rope)] [Mastered]

Technique Description and Effects:
A rope fashioned from the caster's reishi is launched from their hand at the opponent. Upon impact, this then entangles the opponent and ties them up.
How to use technique:
This technique requires aiming with the hand, not unlike any basic Hado spell.
Incantation and Effect:
Incantation causes the robe to elongate and gag even more of the target's body when used, and also ups the Kido strength by 10%. (I.E. A reiatsu strength of 100 would be counted as 110 instead.) Incantation unknown.

Technique Name: [Shunpo (Flash Steps)] [Mastered]

Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the bases of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from point A to point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move; those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower, which requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become winded far easier in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by 10 times. Uses 50 Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. ALL shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique:
A focus of reishi around the feet area, and then launching off into a single step which blurs, not unlike teleportation in appearance, except it is simply extremely fast movement. Often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat, or to dodge incoming attacks.

Technique Name: Advanced Air Ground [Mastered]
Class: 7
Technique Type: Spiritual Technique
Technique Description and Effects:
This is a technique designed especially for breakdancing and parkour, utilizing a more advanced version of air ground. While in a terrain where air ground exists, the user can create more complex surfaces like air walls, air ceilings, air ledges and even an air push. This allows the user to perform handstands and windmills on air as if it were normal ground or even stand upside-down on air as if gravity was reversed. The air push makes the air ground very elastic so that the user can jump higher and allows for slight movement even when restrained by a bakudou.

For a reiatsu cost of 25, the user will be able to momentarily cast an "air ground" on areas such as soul society and heuco mundo, allowing the user to "double jump" or cast shunpo in midair. If this technique is mastered, the user will be able to create air grounds that last for as long as a post. This can be used in creative ways to improve acrobatics and visual impressiveness.

Keeping her body up on her palms Kimiko watched as the shockwave that she had just kicked out towards Suzuki slammed into him sending him backwards with force that she thought would cause him a fair manner of damage. It was impressive as Suzuki cast his kido quickly despite getting hit by the shockwave. Not only that though his method of utilizing the kido in tandem with her own shockwave to get close to her once again was just as impressive as his skill in utilizing the kido. While Kimiko had no personal care for the art she still knew how difficult it was and when to spot those skilled in it.

Moving towards her now Suzuki aimed his zanpakuto in a position that Kimiko had seen her fair amount of since she had become a Shinigami. It was good to see that even though this was just a test Suzuki wasn't holding much if anything back against her. It made judging what he could accomplish much easier. Still despite his good deployment of kido his movements were sluggish keeping most of his maneuvers open for review in the short span of time before they could land. This was one of those circumstances.

Suzuki was expecting Kimiko to retreat to one side or another and prepared to chase after her yet he still didn't know much about his Captain especially the fact she wasn't one to give ground easily. As Suzuki moved through the air towards Kimiko his zanpakuto positioned to strike her heart as she stood on her hands Kimiko pressed off the ground sending herself through the air towards Suzuki spinning in a blur of motion. The distance between them was closed in an instant by which point Kimiko's knee would slam into Suzuki's chest Kimiko now upright while Suzuki's zanpakuto was positioned far to low to strike at her new position.

The Onmitsukido member would be sent flying backwards a couple of meters with a heavy thudding pain reverberating throughout the bones in his chest. Kimiko held back knowing that if she broke him she'd have to bring him back to Soul Society to receive healing and thus more than likely inflicting a permanent wound on any relationship between the two of them. As Suzuki would be sent flying backwards Kimiko's own movement forward would cease and she'd motion her body forwards and then spin landing on her hands once again this time though facing towards Suzuki. "That was a good attack Suzuki, but do you know any hado?"

He thought he'd manage to cut off her ability to escape, however, he didn't prepare for her dashing back down and kneeing him in the chest, causing him to cough up some blood and send him flying backwards, having to use his shikai's blade to dig into the ground to slow him down; causing the ground to look molten as the plasma cut through the earth like a knife through butter.

He managed to get up onto his feet, despite the throbbing pain in his chest. He knew that, if he was like a human or a even lower ranked shinigami, that would of broken his ribs, but he just about managed to resist breaking his ribs from the impact, yet this was going to hurt for a while. As he lifted up his zanpakuto, he felt intense pain coming from his zanpakuto as it started its other effect. In exchange for its ability to cut through pretty much anything, its honor bound effect meant that if he didn't cut or kill something within a certain amount of time, it would start draining his energy. Even so, he refused to look weak in front of his captain and, through gritted teeth, stayed standing while keeping a strong grip on the handle of his shikai.

Thank you, Captain and yes, I do; but I only really use it in conjunction with my blade. But is this more of your test or have your finished your evaluation on me, Captain?" He said simply; he felt that whether or not this test was over, at least he had some decent feedback that at least some of his attacks were good. Saying that, he knew that he hadn't fought serious in a long time, so he was going to be rusty, plus, fighting a captain at his level without knowing of her abilities or even knowing she existed till today also didn't help things, yet he felt that he did a decent job despite everything else. He looked at his blade since if this was over, he needed to find something to bleed or kill in order to seal his shikai back into its sealed form, but he couldn't mention this to his captain till they were done, so he stood, ready in case this wasn't the end of her test.

[Kimiko Shihoin]

Kimiko could see the pain that Suzuki was in right now as he dragged his zanapkuto through the ground in order to make sure that he wasn't going to start flipping backwards or continue going further away. His zanpakuto was definitely one that could be used effectively for assassinations, but the way that he wielded them screamed of his hatred towards himself. At one point he may have been a truly great swordsman, but now he fought against himself as well as his opponent. She was going to need to work with him in the future in order to make sure that he could eventually reclaim the side of himself that could accept the actions of the past in order to protect the present.

Suzuki got up to his feet and Kimiko could see the painful expression written across his face as he struggled for a moment to stay standing. He was definitely out of shape, but that could be fixed much easier than his other faults. He wished to know whether or not the evaluation was finished or if they were going to continue. Exhaling with a sigh the Captain could see that while Suzuki was capable of continuing doing so would harm him much more than was acceptable while allowing him to stay in the human world. "You can relax Suzuki this evaluation is finished."

"I want you to stay in Karakura and act as a constant factor. If something is going on find out about it and send a butterfly back to Soul Society. Don't think because you've passed this first test that you're in the clear either. Either myself or someone above you will be back on a weekly basis to continue with your tests. Now if you have no further questions I'll be heading back to Soul Society." Kimiko wanted to give Suzuki the chance to say anything else before she departed back to evaluate even more of the seated officers of the Onmitsukido.

He relaxed slightly as his captain explained that this test was done for now. He panted a little as his zanpakuto absorbed more of his reiatsu.

"I understand, Captain" He said before he shifted his right sleeve of his shihaksho and lightly pressed the plasma blade against his lower arm, wincing as the blade cut into his arm, drawing blood before the cut boiled the blood and cauterized the wound. This was necessary as his zanpakuto couldn't be returned to its sealed form till it had drawn blood, but now he had let it consume his, he was able to return it to its sealed form and put it back into his back-mounted sheath.

He then listened to his captain as she explained that he was, as agreed, to be a constant factor here in Karakura town and that there was more then one test and every week or so, someone from the stealth force or a superior officer to him would come and test his abilities. She then asked if he had any questions for her before she returned to the soul society.

"I have no questions at the current time, Captain and if I can be honest, I look forward to the tests;
I'm rusty when it comes to dealing with a fighter who knows what they are doing and hollows are not exactly the hardest thing to deal with; however..." He pauses for a moment before speaking again, "...if something else stronger then hollows come, then I feel that I'd wouldn't be capable to face them at my current level, so being able to test myself against those you send against me and working myself back into fighting form will better help me protect both the town and my honor, so the only thing I have to say now is thank you for this chance to prove myself to you, Captain and I look forward to proving that you have made a favorable decision" He says as he places his left hand on the front of his right shoulder and bows forward as a mark of respect towards his captain.
