His body was broken, there was a wound in his chest and his arm was savaged. He counted himself lucky however in the fact that he was slightly ambidextrous. He could use both of his hands to write though his writing was very very sloppy with his right hand. The only way he was going to be able to pay for the healing cost of his massive wounds was by doing excess paperwork for his squad while he was laid up. The Body of paperwork he was going to have to work through was a massive stack, almost as tall as he himself was when he was standing at full height. However there was a Kind young Unseated member of Squad 4 there to help him sort through it while he read and signed off on certain parts.
He was a Seated officer for Squad 10 after all. The Defense of the Seireitei was their responsibility and conflicts were to be reported on.. And Well He had fought a few battles that he had slacked off on finalizing the paperwork from. The strange Shinigami in the Rukongai wilds, the Hollow that made flesh, The Devil he had just fought.. And the rest of the stack was all repair work it seemed. He Began to read and Sign off where it was marked for him to do so , either confirming or denying certain parts of the reports. Arantima was an Honest man and made certain to even edit in missing parts of what he could recall, however those situations where he had allowed his Shikai to release itself he was shocked to find certain parts of the reports.. He was mostly conscious behind the eyes of Rasen naga but it seems he wasn't fully aware.
He looked over to the young Girl seated next to him more often than he should however. The girl was wearing her Shinigami uniform but with her medical kit on hand. He was making notes of her own and performing little Check ups via Kaido techniques that Arantima had never seen before. The last time he was in the hospital for injuries this bad he had been unconscious the entire time. She has short brown hair, a sort of "pixie cut" style hair and she wasn't buxom by any means but she wasn't flat chested either. He Looked down at the paper he was working on and realized he had signed the same section three times, he was getting distracted.
He finished up with that Paper and put it on the finished pile tat he and his nurse had settled out on. He reached for another page with his left hand, wincing and grunting as he did. When the Nurse heard his soft grunt she looked over and swatted at his good shoulder "You stop that! I told you last time I would cut it off if you tried to use it before it was healed didn't I?!?" Her voice was a mixture of cute and annoyed that caught Arantima off guard. He knew she wasn't serous because of the way she smiled as she helped his hand get back into the sling is was in before. She was soft and sweet, And... He blinked a couple of times as some thoughts that shouldn't be in his head flooded in.
He looked her up and down as she turned to grab the next batch of papers from the "To-do" stack and placed them on his lap desk. He hadn't thought this way since he was a child, but that was back when he lived with Courtesans.. That was their business, that was how you were supposed to think of those women. She is a nurse!! He looks to her and smiles warmly all the while his mind has her pictured in erotic poses, saying things she ought not to say, at least to him. He Rolls his shoulders once, ignoring the pain caused in his chest because of the relief it gives his mind. He starts to read through this bit of report and chuckles softly as it is from a small bar fight he had to get in the middle of after he had learned a bit of Hakuda.
The Main body of the paperwork was boring, And So he began to do something he hadn't really had the time for in a long while. Throat Singing It was something he did when he was alone or bored, even when he was training many hundreds of years ago. The Time he had spent at the academy and the way he had been training since he had left the academy had left him little breath with which to sing like this. He had to stop and wince every so often because of the chest wound but he settled in on a decent tune. It was a bit repetitive but it was something he knew well and thought it would help him pass the time. The Song did indeed help the time go by swiftly, though maybe he had underestimated the exact amount of work that would be required.
He had gotten about halfway through the stack, and the Nurse had to leave him to go attend other patients for the Time. But he laid back, taking a small sip of sweet cream that he nurse had brought him. it was a small cup, not a full glass but more than enough to keep him sated for a few hours. His body was resting well, Easily enough now that he had time to sit and think. His mind as well was given time to relax, though in a way that he was slightly uncomfortable with, only at first. The details of the thought patterns are not something that can be written down here, but suffice to say they are not PG.

When he wakes in the morning, He finds the same nurse girl in his room, tidying up and readying the finished pile of paper work t be sent off. He watched her work silently and smiled to himself. He coughed lightly and gave her a soft wave "If you could hold off on sending that out i would be grateful.. I still need to finish the other half first. If I do not Hotaru-Sama Will have me back in here Faster than I can blink" He chuckles softly and coughs at the same time. He watches the nurse nod and set everything down by the door and goes to hand him some papers from his to-do stack. She gives him a warm smile and he returns that smile to her.
He begins to Throat sing once again, smiling over to her before he does, and she sits down and enjoys the sounds as she helps him work through the last of his stack. The Stacks remaining bulk is all repair orders for the Training grounds of Squad 10's barracks. He knew these were coming, the Walls were badly damaged some even taken down completely. He Signed off where he could and noted where The Paperwork might need a revision. He Worked through those papers swiftly as he could, noting changes and making certain the circumstances were made correct. He looked out to the Nurse who was scanning over some of the pages and looking over at Arantima.
The look on her face was one of both fear and astonishment. He was sitting here injured badly and yet he strong enough to cause that much destruction. Arantima knew the face well, it was the same one that looked him back in the face in the mirror. Ho could he be that strong and yet so weak, He chuckled softly to himself, coughing once or twice as he did so until he saw the last two pages. they were on red paper with white ink.. A Near death report, he read it slowly and nodded as he signed off on it. The Body of the paperwork was reports on is injuries, he saw a section at the end intentionally left blank. He Handed that to the nurse "Please.. Fill this down for me. My handwriting is not well enough for this.. " The Nurse nods, and Arantima Begins to tell how the battle went.. and how his zanpakuto was lost.
