-Appearance-

Physical Description:
{Gen Shizuo}
{Faceclaim: Asura}
The appearance of the man known as Gen Shizuo is one marked by mystery. This is mainly because he is usually seen covered up from head to toe. This makes it so that no one knows what he looks like underneath everything. One can only wonder as to what his face looks like, or even how muscular he is underneath all of the clothes he wears. Others may wonder what exactly he is trying to hide. As a result of the mystery that surrounds him, people tend to shun him or not even talk to him, putting him off as some weirdo. However, this doesn't faze Gen much and he continues to live.
First off, let's begin with the layers of clothing Gen wears. We begin with the suit that he wears as a part of the Noveno's Fraccion. This is something he is required to wear as a part of her Fraccion. He doesn't care much having to since it's not really much of a big deal anyway. Since he gets to wear a suit, that means he can customize it right? Gen decided to go with a black and gray pinstripe look for his own tuxedo suit. The jacket is a dark gray with black lines running vertically down the whole thing with black baggy pants to match. The tail coats of the jacket actually reach down somewhere between his knees and his behind. He has really long sleeves and so most of his hands up to his knuckles are covered up by the suit jacket.
Underneath the jacket, he wears a white dress shirt that's slightly unbuttoned. On some occassions, when Asuka wants him to be really dressed up, he may wear a solid black tie with the dress shirt. Underneath that, he wears a black T-shirt, and a slight part of a white T-shirt can be seen underneath that black T-shirt. When looking at him directly, it can't be seen, but Gen wears some kind of white leggings underneath the pants. It seems that the leggings are attached to the white shirt he wears underneath the black T-shirt. This means that the leggings and T-shirt together make up some kind of skin tight suit underneath the black shirt. As for what he wears on his feet, that is barely visible due to the baggy pants he wears. What appear to be shiny black dress shoes adorn his feet over the black dress socks that he wears.
For some reason, even wearing all of those clothes, Gen is still not satisfied. He wears, wrapped around his neck, two white scarves which he tied in some strange way so that the four ends each stick out to the right and left behind him with two ends on each side. On his left hand, he wears some kind of black fingerless glove. It has a square shaped hole on the back of it so that one can see the back of that hand. On his right hand, he wears a black glove that does cover those fingers with the back open as well in that same square shape. The square opening on this glove is larger though. Its open at his wrist and then covers up the back of his hand again at his knuckles. Through the square shaped opening On the back of both of his hands, one can see the three vertical eyes tatooed in black ink there. Why these are there no one but Gen knows, but if one looks closely, they will see that the middle eye hole on his right hand is an actual hole. This is Gen's hollow hole.
Now, for Gen's face. Sadly, this is also covered up. His hollow mask fragment takes the shape of a helmet of sorts that covers his whole head. It's like he has his whole head stuck in a fishbowl, except this fishbowl isn't clear and is all white. There are four vertical eyes present on the hollow fragment covering his head. One where his face would be, one on both sides of his head, and one on the back of his head. The eye holes that are centered in each eye are all actual holes. Through the one eye hole where his face should be, one can see red eyes glaring from out of the darkness of the hole. The hollow mask fragment doesn't cover up his whole head though, for a few tufts of his slick black hair poke out from the top of the mask fragment in the front and in the back.
Gen's actual face has never been seen by anyone but Sonken Kouhai, the man who made him what he is today, and his boss, Asuka. No one besides Sonken Kouhai and Asuka know it, but Gen can move aside the fragment part that covers his face. The eye can split down the middle and shift off to the side to give Gen a more clearer vision if he wants. Then, when he wants his face to be hidden again, he has the pieces fit back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Cool right? Anyway, when Gen's face is revealed, it can be seen that it's the face of a man in his mid twenties, and it's pretty pale, just like his hands. He has a red colored iris in each eye with a black pupil at the center. He also has black lines surrounding each of his eyes. He's also actually a handsome guy despite the paleness, though his face appears constantly bored. Though, on a rare occasion, he has been known to smile. Also, when his face is revealed, more of his slick black hair can be seen. It reaches down to the back of his neck and looks pretty greasy due to the way his bangs shine. The bangs actually cover most of the left side of his face, giving him an emo type look.
Now, for the body underneath the clothes. Gen's body is of an athletic type. He has a slight six pack, and he has muscles, but neither of these are seen due to the layers of clothing he wears. He has strong arm and leg muscles, but not the bulging body builder type. They might be somewhere near average or a bit above average. Gen doesn't really care too much about using strength to overpower his opponent. He does rely on speed though. Not too much speed, but just enough, and that's why he has some pretty strong leg mucles. He's gotten used to moving with all of those layers of clothing, and as a result, he isn't slowed down by the layers and has actually gotten faster as a result.

-Personality-
Dislikes: [Create a List below.]
- People: Gen has this thing where he's wary of everyone around him. As a result, he is always observing. Only those who he has grown to trust somewhat does he like.
- Sonken Kouhai: Gen can't help but feel that Sonken Kouhai shouldn't be leading the Arrancar. He's strong, don't get him wrong, but Gen just feels as though a Hollow should be leading them. It's the same situation as how it was in Egypt before he died. Egypt was ruled by people who weren't Egyptian and it was that system of ruling that was passed down through generations so that Egyptian culture started to became lost. As long as things don't change and the hollow aren't betrayed, Gen will still follow Sonken Kouhai.
- Troublemakers: Gen hates those that disturb balance by disrupting these things solely for pleasure. He likes things to be just the way they are. For every one thing that happens, something else happens to counteract it. That is the natural order. Why change something like that just for your own pleasure?
- Some Bount: Gen isn't sure if it is all of them or not, but he knows that some Bount feed on living souls. This disrupts the balance between the Living World and the two spirit worlds: Soul Society and Hueco Mundo. He doesn't like this disturbance of the natural order of things.
- Tyrants: He hates those who oppress the weak using their power. He doesn't want to lose his power and become oppressed by a tyrant. That is why he will continue to grow stronger!
- Chaos: Chaos disturbs the balance of things. It disrupts peace. Gen doesn't believe that chaos is something that should be apart of the natural order of things.
- Traitors: Gen hates these people the most. He can't trust anyone because he is afraid that someone will betray him. He can't have something like that happen again. He has nightmares of his friend betraying him from time to time.
- Fighting: Gen believes that fighting brings chaos, and like chaos, it is something that isn't natural. Fighting for territory among animals is natural, but fighting for pleasure isn't. It's just something he doesn't like to do. Training maybe, since that's part of the natural order to grow stronger, but fighting just for the love of it isn't.
- Soda: Gen doesn't like this human world drink too much. It hurts his throat when it goes down. All of the carbonated bubbles and the acid that affect the teeth. This isn't something that he wants to try again.
- Evil: Gen doesn't like those that are evil. They disrupt the natural order. Gen isn't some kind of hero, but he doesn't believe he is a villian either. He doesn't think the Hollow or the Arrancar are evil either, but he can't speak for them all. Just as long as they don't mess with him, he is okay. He believes that Hollow and Arrancar simply keep to the natural order of life. Hollow feed to grow stronger. They shouldn't be slain for this.
Likes: [Create a list below.]
- Miss Asuka: Gen has come to like his boss Asuka Hitotoki, whom he refers to as Miss Asuka. She doesn't seem like other people that he has met, and so he trusts her a little more than others.
- Li Mei: She's really quiet and she doesn't bother Gen too much. She's also one of Gen's Fraccion members under the Noveno. He doesn't exactly like her and he isn't wary of her either. He's more indifferent about her. Hey, that's better than being cautious of her isn't it?
- Balance: Gen likes there to be balance among everything. He believes in the natural order of things according to his philosophy of life based on Newton's Third Law of Motion. There is an equal opposite reaction for every reaction.
- Peace: Gen likes the balance and natural order of things that comes when there is peace.
- Power: Gen believes that with more power, he can escape tyrants. He believes that with power, he can hide from that which is after him, however, this is a flawed idea brought on by his paranoia.
- Life: More specifically his life. Gen cherishes his own life and would like to live as long as he can. That is why he craves power. With it, he believes he can continue living forever and observing the world.
- White: It is a color of neutrality and balance. It means peace. He likes peace and so he also likes the color white which represents it.
- Black: Black seems like a mixture of all colors. If that is so, then that must mean that black is a color of neutrality. No one color takes precedence over the other colors and they all mix to form this black. That must mean it is a color of balance.
- Las Noches: Las Noches is his home now after Sonken Kouhai made him into an Arrancar. He is wary of the Arrancar here, but he doesn't have to fear for his life as much since the Arrancar within Las Noches have more sense. The Hollow outside within Hueco Mundo do not.
Flaws: [Create a list below.]
- Paranoia: Because of his fear that everyone is untrustworthy and that there is someone out to take his power away from him, Gen goes to great lengths to ensure that he is safe. The many layers of clothing he wears is testament to this.
- His Philosophy: Gen's philosophy that everything needs to be in balance is quite flawed. He wants that everything remains in balance, yet he serves under Sonken Kouhai, a man who wants the destruction of Soul Society. With Soul Society gone, the balance of things will be horribly thrown off. Gen knows this, but for some reason chooses to pay no attention to it. This makes him a hypocrite and therefore flaws his philosophy on life.
Habits: [Create a list below.]
- Whenever one sees the man known as Gen Shizuo, his hands can be found folded across his chest or in his pockets as he observes. He is usually always observing until he deems it necessary that he must get involved, and for this reason, he usually has his hands folded or in his pockets.
- Gen usually says the words, "I see.", alot. Due to his observing nature, he comments on things that people say in a way that makes it seem as though he didn't know something at all.
- Gen strokes his chin alot when he is thinking. Sometimes, he does this while in battle and it gives away to his opponent that he is thinking about something.
- Gen sometimes comments aloud to himself about something that he is observing. If he was observing a battle, rather than comment on it in his head, he will mutter about the battle out loud to himself. This usually gives people more of an impression that he is a weirdo.
Fears: [Create a list below.]
Gen doesn't really have one main fear and neither does he have just a few simple fears. Gen is actually afraid of everything. He's wary of any and everything around him. Be it people or objects. He believes that no one can be trusted and that someone is out to steal the power's he gained as a hollow. He's pretty much paranoid. Because of his paranoia, he goes around dressing in layers of clothes hoping that people don't recognize him and training constantly to gain more and more power so that he can defeat whatever it is he believes is after him.
Goals: [Create a list below.]
- Gen's main goal is to live. He fears that his life is always in danger and so he is fearful of everyone and everything. He does all that he can to remain alive so that he can continue to gain power. Everything he does is to better himself. His acquaintance with people is only so because he may believe that they can prolong his life. Everything that this man does is to satisfy his goal of living.
- Gen's second goal is to gain more power. He believes that with more power, no tyrant will ever rule over him. He believes that power will allow him to be greater than those tyrants who abuse their own power. Power will also keep him alive. If he has more power, he no longer has to fear those around him.
Aspect of Death: [Fear]
Alignment: [Passive Neutral]
Overall Personality:
Gen's overall personality, like his appearance, is one shrouded in mystery. On the surface, he appears to be someone that is calm, calculating, wise, and intelligent when spoken to. However, on the inside, Gen is fearful of everything around him and extremely wary of trusting people. His appearance is a result of his fear of his surroundings. He covers himself in layers of clothes to give himself a false sense of security. He believes that underneath all of those clothes, he is protected from his surroundings.
Of course, when one speaks to Gen, they will never know this about him. When he speaks, he speaks with an air of intelligence. Everything he says sounds like some philosophical saying quoted from someone else, however, it's just stuff he learned over the years. He absorbs and regurgitates. He's an observer, and so he has gained alot of wisdom and knowledge by observing through all of his years of life. He takes in knowledge from things he's observed and regurgitates that knowledge when the situation calls for it. That's just how he is.
Gen also holds a neutral type personality about everything. Mainly because of his fear, he is neutral towards everything he encounters. Until he is no longer wary of said thing, he will act indifferent towards it. When he is no longer wary of something, he will either react positively towards it or negatively towards it depending on it's reaction towards him. For instance, he neither hates Shinigami nor likes them. He is indifferent towards them yet wary of them. He observes them and only when they attack him will he attack back to defend himself. This is probably weird for him as a hollow, the natural enemy of Shinigami, but for Gen, he believes that an action should only be taken to cancel out another action. He applies Newton's third law of motion as his philosophy towards life. "To every action, there is always an opposing equal reaction."
Gen can also be somewhat of a nice guy. Somewhat because his reasons for being nice always have an ulterior motive. He is usually nice rather than indifferent because the person he is being nice to can be counted on to prolong his life. Working under his boss and with his fellow Fraccion members goes along these lines. He will be nice to them and save them if they are in trouble because he needs them. He has come to trust them just enough to where he believes that they could be of use to helping him stay alive. As long as he stays alive and is guaranteed to stay alive with their help, then he will go out of his way to help. Otherwise, he won't do anything to save someone who he doesn't think can help him much.

-Powers-
Fighting Style:
The fighting style of a man as mysterious as Gen can be hard to predict for some people. He doesn't try to do alot of complicated things unless he decides that he can win. Otherwise, he will just fight to defend and counter. He doesn't really attack. Well, at least not until he has to. Since he's a neutral guy, he doesn't really do the initiating, though he knows that sometimes, he will have to. That's not really Gen's thing.
Gen usually begins by observing. That is his role. He is the observer and the opponent is his specimen. He calculates everything as he fights based on what he has seen and guessing from what his opponent has shown him. He knows that what he has seen isn't always someone's true power, and so he has to make educated guesses as well. Some fighters are tricksters and he knows this. Others are berserkers who do what's necessary to land a hit. Those are the kind of people Gen makes sure to really watch out for. When fighting those types, he doesn't observe as much and instead goes with the flow. Sometimes against these types, and against others, he may observe while fighting by remaining on the defensive and initiating counters where he sees them.
Usually, after Gen does finish observing an opponent, he will begin his attack while making sure to dodge their own. Gen likes to observe first because he doesn't like to make wasted attacks. He hates for an attack to miss or be useless, and so he observes everything first before doing anything. Some may think this was a flaw since an opponent could change their battle style in the middle of battle, but Gen is an adjuster as well as an observer. He can and will adjust if the situation calls for it. This is all so that he completes his main goal: to survive.
When attacking, Gen may either use hand to hand, his blade, his reiatsu based attacks, or even a mixture of the three. It all depends on what Gen decides is best to use after his observation. Gen will use whatever he believes is necessary against an opponent. Every movement of his he tries to make important. When he fights using hand to hand, Gen attacks using swift punches and kicks. He uses fakeout punches and kicks as well. So that if one doesn't hit, he can hit with another one. When using his blade with his hand-to-hand, Gen usually throws in a punch or a kick here or there where he sees that it would fit. Since his blade's sealed form is a pair of chained blades, he may have to resort to using hand to hand only when his opponent gets too close.
When he uses his blade separately, Gen usually delivers precise slashes. He will never really use a stab unless his opponent is too weak to dodge or is about to die. Even then, he is ready to dodge himself because he knows that a stab is only used in these two types of situations. Gen would seem like a person who is always calculating whenever he makes an attack. Of course, his boss, Asuka is also like that. Always calculating ways to attack again in situations when her attacks miss or hit. Also like his boss, Asuka, Gen dual wields. His sealed power in the form of a zanpakutou takes the shape of two deadly looking curved blades attached to really long chains. The chains actually wrap around Gen's arms underneath the suit jacket, while the blades themselves are sheathed on his back in a crisscross fashion. Having the chains wrapped around his arms allows him to keep them on his person at all times. The addition of the chains to attach the blades allows Gen to swing the blades for deadly assault strikes. He can throw his blade at the opponent and then move towards them to attack from a different angle, and with the chain being there, if his opponent dodges, he can easily guide it with the chains on the ends. The addition of these blades makes his fighting style more unique and harder for people not used to fighting chained weapons.
As for reiatsu based attacks like cero and bala, Gen uses those when he feels they're necessary as well. He'll sometimes use a cero to propel himself out of the way of something, much like one of Kuroi's Fraccion, Kouen. However, Gen doesn't specialize in this type of use of cero. He only does so if he needs to. Gen actually likes the cero more than he does the bala, and so he'll probably use that more since it has a longer range. The bala charges faster and also moves faster, but he still likes the cero more. He's trained in it longer than he has the bala technique. As for his Resurreccion powers, Gen believes he shouldn't use that unless it's necessary. He wants to pride himself on being able to fight without his Resurreccion unless he needs it. As the Fraccion under the Noveno, who was a former Fraccion of the Segunda herself, he would feel as though he was disappointing the Segunda himself by releasing unnecessarily. When he does have to resort to using it, however, he will fight with the objective of trying to take his opponent out before they discover what his abilities actually are.
Zanpakutou Appearances:
{Zanpakutou Sealed Form}
The sealed form of Gen's zanpakutou is different from most Arrancar zanpakutou. His zanpakutou is in the form of a pair of chained, curved blades. The blades have jagged edges that spike out about 3 inches along the blunt and the sharp edges of each blade. There are 3 jagged protrusions in total on both the blunt and sharp edges of both blades. The blades themselves are about four to five feet in length. They are also about three and a half inches wide. The four to five foot blades sit on guards resembling that of a skull with sharp fangs about one to two inches long. The skull part of the guard covers the blunt side of the blade while the back part of it curves and forms spikes that protrude out near the sharp edges of the blades. The actual hilt of the blade is wrapped in some tightly woven leather cloth with a small, slightly spiked counterweight on the end. The chains come out of a small hole in the counterweight to attach the blades.
{Resurreccion Appearance}
When Gen releases, he crosses his blades together in an X-shape in front of himself and says the release phrase. Red reiatsu bursts forth from his body and covers him while the chains that wrapped his arms turn into dust and blow into the wind. His body grows taller while within the red reiatsu, becoming about seven feet in height. His skin turns to a completely pale white color. The hollow fragment that covers his head becomes gray and unravels at the bottom to reveal his mouth. When his mouth opens, one can see a row of hideously sharp, white teeth within.
The scarves that wrapped around his neck are still there, but the rest of his clothes aren't. Instead, they are replaced by bandages that wrap his body from the neck down to his knees like a tunic. Since the bandages are all apart of his body in his Resurreccion form, he can easily control them with his mind for attack. Their durability depends on his own reiatsu strength. These bandages are a gray color like the hollow fragment that covers his head. He has a pair of black bandages that resemble chokers wrapping around his arm just above his elbow, another pair wrapping around his leg just below the knee and another pair wrapping around his ankles. He has another pair that wraps around his wrist, however, this one is more like a gauntlet since it also covers the back of his arms. At the top of the gauntlets, near his elbows, are the same vertical eye shapes, though these are red instead of black.
Gen's release form is truly a hideous one. Once the red reiatsu parts to reveal his form, one sees his hunched over form glaring through three vertical eyes in the hollow fragment covering his head, giving him the appearance of a giant hideous mummy creature. The fourth eye that had been carved into the hollow fragment seems to have vanished in his release form. Also, another thing that one notices once he comes out of the red reiatsu is that the three vertical eye tattoos on the back of his hands are glowing a faint red. He also has three more vertical eye tattoos on each shoulder which are also glowing a faint red. Of course, their purpose for glowing is all part of his release's ability. Without the opponent seeing these glowing eyes, then Gen's release abilities are null. But of course, to be one step ahead of his opponent, the dust from the dissolved chains also plays a key factor.
Zanapkutou Release Names(Include both stage names, and call out phrases)
"Call out, El Dice."
Overall Ability:
Know how that one saying says that sticks and stones may break bones but words will never hurt? Well, guess again because Gen's resurreccion proves that wrong. His resurreccion grants him the ability to use words, in the form of quotes and famous parables to harm his opponent and also provide protection for himself when the time arises. With simple quotes and parables, Gen is able to deal damage in a variety of forms to his opponent depending on the quote or parable recited. Gen usually chooses quotes and parables on evil as that is what he wants to get rid of because he believes it disturbs the balance. When recited, the quote or parable activates the effect of what it can be understood to mean.
Probably wondering how just saying simple words can be used to harm the opponent? Well, in order to even have any of his abilities affect his enemy, Gen needs to get his opponent to see him release. Remember those three glowing vertical eye tatoos on his shoulders and the back of his hands? Those are important. Once the opponent sees the glow from those, they are caught in Gen's ability. Any parable or quote that he recites after that gives the desired effect, though the strength of the effect also depends on reiatsu strength. If Gen's reiatsu strength is lower, his abilities have their desired effects weakened or even nullified if the reiatsu strength is strong enough, but if his opponent's is lower than Gen's by any amount, his abilities have their desired effect.
You may be wondering what happens if Gen happens to release when his opponent isn't around? Well, he has that covered too. Remember the chains that dissolve into ash and blow in the wind? Those are important too. Once these ashes get into the opponent, via their mouth, nose, eyes, or through a wound, they create the same effect as looking into the eyes would. Of course, Gen can guess that opponent's might realize how suspicious glowing eyes can be. It's a pretty cliche thing. The former Septima under Azeru Cho used an ability revolving around glowing eyes. That's why his resurreccion also allows him to use those dissolved ashes to do the trick as well. Clever right?
Primera Etapa Overall Ability:
Gen's Primera Etapa allows him to use his quotes and parables to deal damage to his opponent or protect himself if need be. After his opponent sees the glowing eyes or has the ashes of the chains enter their system, Gen can then begin using his abilities. Of course, he'll know when the ashes are in the opponent's body, but they won't know until it's too late. Only someone with exceptional skill at reiatsu will be able to tell due to the sheer size of the ash within them. It's too small to sense unless it accumulates in an opponent. However, all Gen needs is for one particle of ash to enter his opponent and his ability is as good as working.
Zanpakuto Techniques: [Generate below. Include powers and weaknesses.]
Technique 1- Tres Monos Sabios
This technique is one of Gen's weakest. Gen uses the parable of the three wise monkeys to create the effects of this technique. By stating the words, "No mires, no hables, no escuches.", Gen can cause his opponent to go blind, deaf, and become unable to speak. The opponent cannot see Gen, nor can he hear Gen, and he can't speak. This technique works over the course of three posts, with each effect occuring during each of the three posts. Gen can choose the order in which the three effects activate. This technique is meant to limit his opponent so that he can defeat them easier. The effects last for a total of three posts. The post right after that is when the opponent gets all of their senses back, but the strength of the senses returns only gradually so that the opponent is still affected for a few seconds afterwards. The effects of this technique, however, can be removed if Gen's opponent has reiatsu strength greater than Gen's own. The reiatsu strength difference has to be more than 50 to completely negate this technique. A drawback to this is that if Gen is interrupted while saying the words for this technique, he can't try to use it again for another 3 posts. He must be completely still when stating the words for this quote. Also, to keep with Gen's obsession to balance things, he loses two senses as well for his opponent's loss of senses. He loses his senses of smell and touch. If used again, Gen loses two more senses: his hearing and his sense of taste. This is a Class 4 technique.
Technique 2- Blindaje Puerta
This technique is simply a defense for Gen since he loses his weapon when he enters his Resurreccion. This quote provides some protection for him from enemies who get too close. By stating the quote, "Una resolución para evitar un mal es rara vez enmarcado hasta que el mal está tan avanzado como para hacer imposible la evitación", Gen can create a circle of sparking red reiatsu to shield himself. The circle contains a second circle within it, and inside of that second circle is a vertical eye, much like the one tatooed onto his hands and shoulders. It is connected to the inside circle via lines and solid circle shapes. The circle inside the vertical eye is a darker red than the outside circles and glows when an attack hits it. There are also kanji letters that are on the space between the circles that revolve there when the circle is summoned. The circle can shield Gen from any attack with a reiatsu strength equal to or less than Gen's own reiatsu strength. He has trained this technique so that he can use it on the fly. This means that he can form it before stating the quote, but if he does so, it is only at half power. This technique can only be used if Gen is standing still, meaning that he must know where his opponent is coming from in order to form the red circle of reiatsu. After using it, it undergoes a 1 post cooldown before he can use it again. This is a Class 3 technique.
Technique 3- Autoevaluación
With the words, "Conquista tus propios males antes de juzgar a los demás", Gen is able to pull out the darkness in someone's heart and bring it to life. Even if Gen's opponent has no dark aura, as long as they have done something in the past that they regret or is deemed wrong by society (ex. killing), Gen is able to utilize that to create his technique. Using his opponent's demons, Gen is able to form a complete copy of the opponent, though a much darker version. This darker version has all of the opponent's skills, however, in terms of techniques, only five randomly chosen techniques may be used. (These will be chosen by a number generator) The opponent will then have to fight the darkness within themselves as well as Gen, limiting them even more. The dark version of the opponent only remains for 5 posts or earlier if Gen calls it back. When using this technique, Gen must remain immobile in order to control the dark version of his opponent. If he is attacked and his concentration is broken, the dark copy fades. If the technique is used again after this, it will cost 800 reiatsu to activate rather than the original 600 for a class 2 technique.
Technique 4- La Restitución
This technique is all about returning the balance of nature. It is also Gen's ace and class 1. He only uses this technique if he needs to. With the words, "Volvemos mal por mal, en los que no hay pecado, porque es necesario pagar a un hombre malvado en su propia moneda.", Gen lets his reiatsu seep out from his body and has it cover he and his opponent in a dome of red reiatsu. Within this dome of reiatsu, all balance is restored. Gen is able to return any damage his opponent does to him back onto his opponent. This means that damage that Gen does to himself won't be returned to the opponent. By having any damage done to him done to his opponent as well, he returns the balance, which he believes is important. Since this technique has the potential to kill his opponent by returning a fatal wound that Gen himself has received by the opponent, Gen doesn't use it unless he absolutely has to. This technique depends on the reiatsu strength difference between the two. If the reiatsu strength of Gen's opponent is less than or equal to his own, the damage dealt will be equal in strength to Gen's own. However, if the reiatsu strength of Gen's opponent is greater, then the damage is lessened depending on the difference. A difference of 50 reiatsu strength lessens the damage by 1/3. A difference of 100 lessens the damage by 2/3. A difference of 150 and higher nullifies the damage completely. After using this technique, Gen is drained completely of stamina, leaving him immobilized, and he begins to breath heavy. His eyes also begin to bleed, and his vision starts to fade away.

Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
An Arrancar-exclusive technique that hardens the user's Reiatsu and releases it like a swift blast of spiritual energy. While the technique is not nearly as powerful as a Cero, its speed is 20 times faster and allows for it to be fired in quick repetition. The orb of reiatsu fired varies in size and strength, some Arrancar creating one the size of a basketball with the rough power of a massive punch, and others creating Bala with enough power to blast holes in adversaries. Some Espada can create Bala as large and powerful as an average Arrancar's Cero.
How to use technique:
The user must first aim and then fire the technique, as is custom of any projectile type.
Technique Drawbacks
50 Reiatsu cost.
Technique Name: [Pesquis (Sight)]
Class: [5]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
An Arrancar exclusive technique that allows the user to cast a seeming "radar" for a one mile radius, allowing them to sense any and all beings that have reiatsu in the area, and tell how strong that reiatsu is, and even locate an enemy in battle. Vizards can slip through Pesquis during use of step techniques. Those of speed three or more times the user's can also slip through Pesquis. This allows a one mile radar per 50 energy sensory. Its accuracy also increases with higher levels of energy sensory.
The default version can sense location, general flaring and fluctuation of reiatsu, and basic movement.
How to use technique:
Focus. Lasts for 5 posts once activated.
Technique Drawbacks
In addition to diverting some of the user's focus, this technique can be fooled by mid to high level illusions, and step techniques which reach a speed at least 30% or more of the user's step speed can slip through Pesquis, seeming to disappear like a ghost off of the radar.
Technique Name: [Sonido (Lit. Sound Step)]
Class: [4] - 7-1.
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique] - Kidou, Quincy Technique, Bount Technique, Human Technique, Hollow Technique, Other
Technique Element: [None] - If any
Technique Description and Effects: [What does your technique do? How strong is it? What is it's range of abilities? List these things below.]
A powerful technique, Sonido is a step that increases movement speed for a single step. Essentially, it magnifies the speed of just that one step, by 13 times. Each step for Sonido costs 100 Reiatsu.
How to use technique: [How do you use this technique? List below.]
Just use it and drain the Reiatsu.
Drawback: [What are the disadvantages and drawbacks of your technique? Don't forget that the drawback must be equal in strength to the technique. List everything related to the drawback below.]
Reiatsu cost.
Technique Name: [Hierro (Harden)]
Class: [3]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: [Metal]
Technique Description and Effects:
Hierro is an Arrancar technique in which the user's reiatsu condenses, creating a steel-hard skin strong enough to block a Zanpakuto. This also allows them to fight some of the sword-wielding Shinigami barehanded. This technique guards against reiatsu based and melee techniques. If the user has 150+ reiatsu strength superiority to the enemy, then the user is totally undamaged by all attacks from the enemy. This means an Arrancar is essentially invincible based on Hierro for some time. At 75-149 reiatsu strength advantage, damage is very minor, but present. A large slash could be a tiny cut. At less than 75 advantage, there is resistance to damage from the Hierro. Small resistance.
How to use technique:
Always active. Doesn't use reiatsu to keep active, uses reiatsu strength for strength. Permanently active as soon as it is learned.
Technique Drawbacks
Must deactivate this to use High Speed Regeneration. Reiatsu is lost upon deactivation, reiatsu equivalent to the technique class, which is 3. 400 is lost upon deactivation. 400 is then also lost upon reactivation in the same thread. Final stage release bypasses Hierro automatically by default. (Bankai, Fullbring Stage 2, etc.) Vizard Bankai does NOT bypass Hierro. Vizards, even if they have not yet become full Vizards, must use their mask to bypass Hierro. Those facing Hierro can gradually adjust to it per combat hit against the enemy, though within a certain post limit. Let's say Person A has Hierro, and is fighting Person B. If Person B hits Person A twice with attacks, then after 8 posts of their combat have elapsed, then Person A's Hierro counts at 80% of its strength (100 Reiatsu strength would be 80). After 12 posts of combat, if Person A has been hit at least four total times, then Person B can now treat Hierro as if it is simply 60% strength (100 Reiatsu Strength would be 60). After 16 posts of combat, if at least six hits have been landed, Hierro stops working against Person B.
Technique Name: [Hierro Consumidores]
Class: [3, 2]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Arrancar Technique]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Arrancar]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique allows the user, upon activation to fuse the properties of Gonzui with his/her Hierro. When activated, mouths about the the same size as the user's own mouth will open up all over the body to suck in any incoming reiatsu attacks or constructs made of reiatsu for a duration of five seconds. The class 3 version of this technique allows the user to absorb reiatsu of any class below 3 as long as the reiatsu strength of the reiatsu being absorbed is not more than up to 50% greater than the user's own. This means that this version is unable to absorb class 1 techniques, but can reduce the strength of class 2 techniques by the user's reiatsu strength. At this class, the user can only open a few mouths, up to six on their body. At class 2, the user can absorb reiatsu of any class except for class 0 with the same reiatsu strength stipulations as class 3 and the number of mouths formed doubles to 12. The user can absorb reiatsu with a reiatsu strength up to 50% greater than his own. If the reiatsu strength is more than 50%, it's reiatsu strength can instead be reduced by the absorption based on the user's own reiatsu strength; although the user may still suffer damage from the technique. Once absorbed, the reiatsu can be used to fuel techniques or can be added to the user's own reiatsu pool. If the user goes over their normal reiatsu pool, he/she must use up the excess within one post or lose double the amount absorbed and suffer overheating.
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Focus reiatsu into one's Hierro and then spread it to the designated areas to open up the Gonzui-like mouths. The user must have also mastered both Hierro and Gonzui in order to use this technique.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
Other than the reiatsu cost to activate, Gen can be infected by infectious reiatsu techniques that he absorbs. He also suffers from first degree burns in areas where he absorbs the reiatsu. Higher degree burns will result from absorbing techniques higher than class 4. Absorbing Class 3 techniques will result in second degree burns where the mouths have opened, absorption of class 2 techniques will result in third degree burns, and absorption of class 1 techniques results in fourth degree and higher burns across the body parts where the mouths were opened. Death can also result from the overheating if more than half of the user's normal reiatsu pool is taken in at one time.

Technique Name: [Garganta (Cave)] M
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
A technique used by Hollows and Arrancar to move between the human world and Hueco Mundo, though Arrancar under the service of Las Noches have demonstrated the ability to use it to enter Soul Society as well. This opens a black tear in the air which resembles the gaping maw of a shark, and the inside of which is simply a void of shimmering black. Those inside create pathways made from their reishi, on which to walk to the exit. Some, who have mastered the Garganta, are able to create a reishi pathway which moves them rather than them having to walk along it, treating the Garganta like a sort of elevator to where they are going. This is a slow opening technique, and one that cannot be used in battle.
How to use technique:
The tear simply opens upon the user's will. This technique uses no reiatsu, but it cannot be used if the user is down to 0 reiatsu.
Technique Name: [Gonzui (Gaping)] M
Class: [3]
Technique Type: Hollow Technique
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
This technique allows the user to absorb the Reiatsu of everything around them that is lower then they are in class, after locating it with Pesquis. They can also use this to eat random spirits in the area. One dead spirit is worth 10 Reiatsu. 100 spirits can be eaten at one time. One "living spirit" is worth 200 Reiatsu per class. 5 can be eaten at one time. This can only be used on NPCs.
How to use technique:
Focus on sources of Reiatsu, open mouth, and eat.
Technique Drawbacks
Arrancar Only. Must use Pesquis first. The user will lose double the amount of intaken Reiatsu 7 posts after using Gonzui. If they are in Ressurection at that time, they will lose that Reiatsu when they leave Ressurection. Can only be used once every 3 posts. You can only eat Shinigami/Arrancar/Humans (with battle capability) if your reiatsu strength is at least triple theirs. This technique CAN be used while one is out of reiatsu, however if that happens only 70% of the normally acquired reiatsu will be taken in. This percentage does not include the reiatsu that will be taken out of the newly gained for use of this technique.
Technique Name: [Contrato]
Class: [5]
Technique Type (Kido, Hollow/Arrancar Technique, Human World Dweller Technique, Other): [Arrancar Technique]
Usable By (Technique is available to which races?): [Arrancar]
Technique Element: {None]
Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique is an adaptation of the Garganta technique Hollow and Arrancar normally use to travel between worlds. Gen developed this technique during the absence of Miss Asuka in order to better be of service to the next Arrancar who chose him as their Fraccion. This technique allows Gen, through contact, to create a seal upon whomever he chooses; however, the seal can only take form when the one who he touches agrees to it. The seal takes the form of three black vertical eyes that look just like the ones tatooed on the back of Gen's right hand. This technique allows Gen to make a contract with those he wants to protect when this seal is created. What it does is simple: when activated for a cost of 100 reiatsu, the seal opens up before the one whom the seal was placed upon into a Garganta roughly six feet in height. A Garganta will also appear before the one who placed the seal and this will allow them to travel from their own position to the seal bearer's position without delay. Once the user steps into the Garganta that appears in front of them, they will step out of the Garganta formed from the seal within seconds. For Gen, this will allow him to protect those he serves by being able to reach them whenever they are in danger. To activate the seal, the user must be within sight range of the seal bearer and the user must actually look at the seal bearer before activation can occur. This technique requires a mastery of Garganta to learn. Lastly, the amount of seals that can be in play depends on mastery. One seal at learned, two at proficient, and up to three at one time at mastery level.
When placing the seal, the user must say the phrase, "From evil I will protect you. My life is now yours. From now on, I will follow you till the end of time."
How to use technique (How is it activated?): [Insert Below]
Gen must make a contract with the one whom he places the seal on. After saying the phrase, he will ask for permission to place the seal and the one he wants to protect must verbally declare in some way that it is okay.
Technique Drawbacks (Limitations, repercussions for use, etc) (Insert Below)
First of all, the seal can't be placed unless the one whom Gen is placing it upon gives him permission. If they do not, then the seal can't be placed. Also, there is the reiatsu cost for placing the seal.

Technique Description and Effects (Explain appearance, powers, and effect): [Insert Below]
This technique cannot be learned unless Contrato is learned and requires a mastery of Garganta as well. This technique allows the user to, instead of only placing a seal upon someone they want to protect, also adding techniques into the seal. While placing the seal, the user must also charge up whatever technique they want to seal. Once the seal has been created, the technique can be fired at the seal and will be absorbed into those bearing the Contrato seal rather than doing any harm. When the user chooses to do so, the seal can then be activated for a cost of 100 reiatsu at a later time to release the sealed technique. This can be used by the user to protect the seal bearer if unable to do so because of distance. The seal is in the same shape as the original Contrato seal; however, once a technique has been sealed within it, the seal glows faintly. The seal costs 400 reiatsu to place plus the reiatsu from the technique to be sealed. Just like with Contrato, activating the seal requires the user to be within sight range of the seal bearer and the user must actually look at the seal bearer before activation can occur. There is a limitation on class, however. This seal with a technique sealed within can only be placed on someone at most two classes below the user. The limit on class of technique sealed is up to one class above the seal bearer's own class. Example: The user is class 3 and the bearer is class 5, so only a technique of class 4 or lower can be sealed within Contrato.

{~Cero~}
Technique Name: [Cero (Zero)]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Available only to Hollows or Arrancar of at least Gillian status, Cero is the signature technique of higher level Hollow races. This concentrates their reiatsu into a condensed blast of light which fires out, usually from the hands or similar body part, though many can use it from their chests, feet, mouths, or other appendages. Color is usually red, but many Arrancar have learned how to alter the color of their fired Cero. When charging it appears to be an orb, but when fired is a large, very wide beam. It has a distinct high-pitched sound when charging, and a very low growl when fired. Anyone can hear either, and thus discerning a Cero is very easy. In power, weaker Cero explode on contact with targets, but some Cero have enough power to keep going after hitting a target, and simply consume and disintegrate it.
How to use technique:
Aim body part at target and charge the technique, then fire. In speed, takes a few seconds total.
Technique Drawbacks
Reiatsu cost of 200, despite being class 4.
Technique Name: [Cero Artimana (Trick Zero)]
Class: [4]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
This technique is tricky. It fires like a normal Cero at first, but before hitting a target, it disappears and reappears behind them instead.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Technique Drawbacks
This, despite being class 4, has a 250 reiatsu cost, and moves more slowly than the average Cero.
Technique Name: [Cero Arpia (Harpy Zero)]
Class: [5]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]

Technique Description and Effects:
Cero Arpía (lit. Harpy Cero) is a somewhat powerful cero that is released from the mouth. The user will release the Cero in a wave like blast that reaches as far as the ears can hear. It has the ability to cause bleeding in the ear.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Technique Drawbacks

Class: [6]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A Cero expelled from the user's feet to propel them through the air. By controlling the power of the blast, the technique can vary. A powerful blast can cause the user to rocket upwards, but damages the ground they were standing on. By doing this repeatedly, the user can zigzag through the air. A weaker blast will merely cause the user to "hop", but if done repeatedly, the user can literally bounce on thin air, allowing them to cross gaps by bunny-hopping across them. And if the user is sent flying, they can merely hop down to the ground safely in the same way one would walk down stairs.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Technique Drawbacks

Technique Name: [Cero Bestia (Animal Zero)]
Class: [6]
Technique Type: [Hollow Technique]
Technique Element: [None]
Technique Description and Effects:
A Cero that takes a physical shape. By bending the Cero emitted from the user's hand, they can create animal shaped Cero beings. Each Cero Animal has aztec shaped markings along their body and lack eyes. They do not make noise, speak or growl as they are just condensed energy. They cannot even explode, and physical contact with them simply burns. Typically, causing damage to their bodies will kill them and dissolve them.
How to use technique:
Fired through aim like a regular Cero, though the user most focus more.

Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Cero Arpía (lit. Harpy Cero) is a somewhat powerful cero that is released from the mouth. The user will release the Cero in a wave like blast that reaches as far as the ears can hear. It has the ability to cause bleeding in the ear.

{El Origen}
"Caesar cannot be allowed to continue ruling!" came the voice of a young man within some random busy street in Egypt. Using two boxes as his podium, the man continued spouting his message. "Caesar isn't even Egyptian! He is Roman! Why is he, a non-Egyptian, ruling over us Egyptians?!" the fiery-eyed young man proclaimed. He was standing in the center of the streets, shouting out at the people around him. It was a busy marketplace that he stood in. There were huts and tents erected all around him by merchants hoping to make a profit today at the buys marketplace. The man ignored them all and continued with his message. "How can you allow this tyrant to continue ruling?" the fiery-eyed young man shouted once more.
He reached up with his arm, wiping beads of sweat from his forehead. He had been out in the hot sun for almost an hour now. Even with the light tan tunic he wore, he was still hot. Though he had been here for almost an hour, still, there was no progress shown in getting the people to listen to his message. Everyone either ignored him or scolded him and told him to stop. No one wanted to hear his message. There were some people who bumped the boxes he stood on as they walked past to get him to fall off and stop his shouting. Finally, one old man walked up and began waving his cane at the young man. "Hey! Stop spouting nonsense and get down from there before the Roman guards see you and throw you in jail!" the old man called up to the fiery-eyed young male.
"Nonsense?! How can you call what I am saying nonsense? It's the truth! The Gods couldn't have wanted us to be ruled by a man such as Caesar! He isn't Egyptian! How could the Almighty Ra have wanted us to live under a tyrant?" the young man retorted. The old man continued waving his gnarly wooden cane and shook his head. "Well, I warned you." he said as he walked off with the large basket of fruit and vegetables that he had just bought at the market. "May the Gods protect him..." the man muttered to himself.
The young man stared at the old man as he walked away. He called his message nonsense?! Did these people really want to continue living under Roman rule? He just couldn't understand it. Why would these people want to live under a tyrant? Let alone one that hadn't been chosen by the Gods. Did they want to go against the Gods by continuing to allow this tyrant, Caesar, to rule. It was blasphemy! The young man just couldn't understand it. "Listen to me!" he yelled out. "Why are you being subservient to the Romans?! Why isn't anyone doing anything?! Do you want to continue being slaves to this Roman Empire?! They're destroying our Egyptian culture!" he cried out.
"Hey! You don't know what you're talking about!" a random woman shouted to him. It seemed people could no longer ignore him. "Get down from there and go home! You'll be sent to jail for treason if you continue spouting that nonsense!" another voice shouted, this time a male's. "Yeah! Go home before you're arrested! The guards are on their way!" another woman shouted. These people just didn't get it! Why weren't they listening to him? "The guards are coming!" another random voice shouted.
The young man's eyes widened when he heard that. The guards were going to come. He hadn't actually thought that someone would go and get the guards. He hadn't been thinking that far ahead. When he had come out, he hadn't planned ahead to the part when the guards would actually come. He looked around, his medium length black hair swaying as he looked from side to side. He was trying to find a way to get down when he heard a voice from behind. "Hey! Get down from there and come with us!" was the voice of one of the two Roman guards that had just come from an alley. The two of them wore the traditional armor with the matching helmet, and brown sandals. They also carried spears with them.
"Don't even think about running! Just get down from there and come with us!" the second guard called out. "I'm not going anywhere with you." the fiery-eyed young man spoke. He then leaped off of the two boxes. One of the guards had kicked the boxes upon seeing the young man leap, and so he slipped when he went into the air. The young man fell forwards onto his hands and knees when he came down. The young man quickly scrambled up and took off. His only desire now was to get away from the Roman guards. If they caught him, they'd send him to jail or worse, give him the death sentence for treason against the Roman Empire. For all the stuff he was spouting about Caesar and the Roman Empire, he'd surely get the latter. That was why, he had to get away now.
The young man weaved in and out between merchant tents, knocking aside goods and wares to stall the guards. "Stop running!" one guard shouted. They were gaining on him. The goods he was knocking down didn't seem to stop them at all. The young man looked back for a second and then turned around, only to run into a merchants tent and goods. The young man tumbled through the many tomatoes that the merchant had been selling. "You stupid kid! You just destroyed all of my tomatoes" the merchant shouted. The young man however, didn't care as he was scrambling to pick himself up once more so that he could continue running.
He took off, heading into a nearby alley that he saw. "This way. He went this way! Call for backup to cut him off on the other side!" the other guard shouted as he went into the alley after him. The young man looked back, seeing only one of the guards coming after him. Where had the other one gone? The young man turned his head around again, so as not to crash into anything like last time. He continued running. His heart was pounding hard, and he could feel the blood pumping through his legs. His legs were growing tired, but he had to keep running! He wasn't going to get the death penalty! He kept running and running, moving through that alleyway. It seemed as though it would never end.
Finally, the young man saw light coming from the other end. He continued running, heading towards that light. He would be free once he got past there. He wasn't sure if the guard was still behind him. He couldn't hear his breathing. All that he could hear was his own. His heavy breathing in and out as he ran. His pounding feet hitting the ground with each step he took. Those were the only sounds he could hear. He smiled with joy as the light grew brighter and he grew closer. He was free! He had made it! The young man burst forth from the dark alleyway only to lose the smile that had formed upon his face.
Standing before him was what he had been hoping not to see. There was a line of about 10 Roman guards standing there, blocking him from continuing. No! I was almost there! the young man cursed himself. He stopped running and stood there, facing the 10 armed guards before him. "Stop right there. Do not try and run away again. You will be coming with us." one of the guards said. He stepped forward towards the young man. "You are being charged for treason against the Roman Empire and for resisting your arrest. Come with us!" the guard stated.
"Ra will protect me!" the young man shouted. He then spit into the guards face. "I won't be a slave to your Roman Empire." he stated. "Arrest him now!" the guard said while wiping the spit from his face. The nine remaining guards converged on the young man, grabbing him so that he didn't escape. "We will now take you to the nearest prison where you will be tried." the guard whose face the young man had spit in said. The young man could no longer resist. They had him now. All he could do now was wait for his sentence. Ra would protect him though. He had served the Gods faithfully. Even if they killed him now, the Gods would let him live on. This was all that went through his mind as he went with them.
"Imhotep Ishwar...you do realize that your speaking against the Roman Empire stands as treason....correct? Which is punishable by death?" a deep voice spoke. The young man, whose name was Imhotep knelt on the floor in a dark room. There was only one source of light in the room and that light was from a lamp burning on the desk before Imhotep. Sitting at the desk was the Roman guard general. His head was shaved bald, and he had a fierce look to him. Scars ran down along his right cheek, giving him more of an intimidating look. He stared down at Imhotep with contempt.
"You do also realize that spitting on a guard is an offense as well...correct? That and attempting to flee from the guards..." the bald general asked. Imhotep remained silent. He didn't want to say anything to these Roman tyrants. They had no reason to be here in Egypt ruling. All they were doing was destroying the Egyptian culture. One couldn't even pray to the Gods because they were afraid of being persecuted and jailed for doing so. They were forced to pray to some God that the Romans had told them to pray to. Imhotep didn't like anything about these Romans. They destroyed his home and now they wanted to take away his culture. He wasn't going to just sit back and stand for it. He simply remained silent as he was questioned.
"So you don't have anymore to say now that you have been captured? What happened? You were saying so much in the marketplace...causing such a commotion..." the general teased. He continued staring down at the young male before him. He sneered and then stood up, anger present in his fierce eyes. Imhotep heard him stand but simply stared down at the ground. His hands were tied behind his back and so he could do nothing. "Your punishment for these crimes will be...." the general began. "Oh...I know. You preached about the Roman Empire destroying your Egyptian culture right?" the man stated. "Since you are so stubborn in your Egyptian culture, you will die by that culture. Your death sentence...is to be buried alive." the man finished.
"What?!" Imhotep spoke for the first time since he had arrived in that room. "Anything but that...anything." he pleaded. Panic and shock were visible on his face as he stared into the general's fierce eyes. Being buried alive meant that he would suffer when he died. He was going to be wrapped in bandages and buried in the ground alive. They weren't going to embalm him or anything, even though he could only be embalmed if he was dead. He was going to end up dying by suffocation rather than some quick death. He would have rather rotted in prison than die like this. "No...no...no...no!" he said, shaking his head. He tried to get up, but the general already had his foot flying into Imhotep. The air was knocked from his lungs as the foot impacted his chest. He went flying back, skidding across the ground. His eyes wide with panic and now barely able to breath, Imhotep felt all of his hope lost.
Imhotep was dragged from the room with the Roman general's laughter being the last thing he heard. "That's one last protestor we have to worry about." Imhotep heard the general say as he was being dragged. So, there were others that had protested too. They must have been killed as well. Imhotep had heard nothing about other protests though. That meant that it had been silenced after it was handled. Maybe he should have listened to those people who had told him to stop. If he had, he would probably have been able to just go home. He would have been able to live another day. His words hadn't worked. He had failed to rally his people with his words, and now he was paying the price.
Imhotep was wrapped by the soldiers. His hands and legs were tied so that he couldn't move. He would have struggled, but he seemed to have lost all fight in him. They held him down as they wrapped him from head to toe in the bandages. The last thing that Imhotep saw before the bandages covered his eyes was the faces of the sneering Roman guards. With his body fully wrapped, the guards took him to a hole that had already been dug and threw him in. Imhotep's body hit the bottom with a thud and he just lay there silently. Then, he felt the dirt being heaved onto his body. With each shovel of dirt placed into the hole, Imhotep felt his body weighed down more and more. Soon, the weight of the dirt became unbearable, and when it finally grew to cover his face, he began losing air. He could no longer breath within those hot bandages. The packed dirt above his face was cutting off his air supply. Imhotep tried breathing, but there was no air to breath. He ended up suffocating and died sometime in the middle of the night.
Imhotep woke up laying on the hot sand the next morning. When his eyes opened, he was instantly blinded by the sun. He he had to shield his eyes from the hot sun as he sat up and began looking around. "What's going on? Wasn't I just dead?!" he asked himself, unsure as to how he was even sitting here now. He got up slowly while still looking around. How was he alive right now when hours before he had suffocated? He looked around him, trying to find anything that would tell him what had happened. The young male patted his body, dusting off the sand when he finally noticed the long chain extending out of his chest. He quickly grabbed it as his eyes widened in fear and horror.
"What's this?! W-W-Why i-i-is this here? H-H-How d-d-did it get here?" he asked aloud. How had he gotten a chain this long attached to his chest without him waking up and noticing. What's worst is that when he tried to pull it off, it wouldn't come off. It was attached to his chest permanently now. But how? Imhotep looked around, searching for the guards who had buried him. Then, when he remembered that he was buried, he turned and looked at the ground. He inspected it until he found the spot that looked like it had been disturbed. Wait, it hadn't been disturbed recently. Then, how did he get out? Was he even still alive? He had to be dead, but then if he was dead, that meant he was a...a spirit.
From what he could remember, the Egyptians believed that when someone died, two things exited the body: the ka and the ba. The ka was the spirit or soul of that person. Was this Imhotep's ka? That would explain why it was chained. The ka was always left behind as it was the memories of that person's life and it had the same needs as the person when they were alive. But, Imhotep still remembered his name. His name was unique. It was apart of the ba, which was the personality. The ba was an individual and it could enter a person's body with the breadth of life and leave the body at the time of death. Why could Imhotep remember his name? Was it that his ka and ba hadn't split?
Imhotep was still a little freaked out about all of this. Why hadn't he gone to paradise? When he died, he should have been guided to paradise by the God Osiris. He was supposed to have his sins weighed by Isis, but he didn't see any Gods around. Just what was going on? "Where is the Paradise that I was told I would go to upon dying?" Imhotep asked. He looked down at his chain again, trying once again to pull it off with no avail. This was just too weird.
Imhotep decided to just sit and wait. He decided that with that chain there, he wouldn't be able to go anywhere. He couldn't see where the chain ended, but it looked like it came from the ground. He wasn't going to get far like that. So, he decided to wait. He sat down and just waited. Maybe he had to wait for a God to find him. So, he decided to do that. He waited and waited, just sitting in that same spot every day waiting, but no God ever came.
While he was waiting, Imhotep began remembering just how he died. He kept seeing it every time he closed his eyes. From his outcries at the marketplace to being chased to being buried alive. When he would see the faces of those Roman guards before they wrapped in the bandages and when he heard the words of that Roman general, he grew angry. Their words and sneers angered him. Imhotep was angry that he couldn't bring back the Egyptian rulers. He was upset that his words had no effect on the people.
This anger built up in him as he sat and contemplated it each and every day, and soon, it grew too much. His will for his words to have been strong enough to persuade his people and his anger at the Romans caused his transformation. It began with a sudden pain in his chest area. When he looked down, he saw his chain eating itself. Imhotep screamed out with pain as the chain continued eating itself. He tried to stop it, but there was nothing he could do. The agony that he felt each and every day. The pain was unbearable, and he had to endure it alone each day. Finally, the chain was at it's end, but still, it continued eating itself. It wasn't satisfied. "Stop! Please stop! I won't be able to go to paradise if you continue! STOP! AHHHHH!" Imhotep's screams were heard as the last of the chain was eaten away and he was left with a gaping hole within his chest.
He looked down at it, terrified and fightened. What would happen now? Imhotep was hunched over, breathing hard. Enduring that pain for so long had exhausted his body. He was about to straighten himself up when it happened. White goo shot out of his mouth and began covering his face, encasing it. It continued flooding out of his mouth and covering his face. As more and more of the goo covered his face, he could feel it hardening. He could also feel his body changing, and he screamed out in pain. What's happening to me?! What's going on? Why do I feel so much pain?!
Imhotep screamed and screamed, but no one came. Not until he was at the last part of his transformation. Imhotep saw them through his right eye, the only part of his face that hadn't been covered yet. The person that came was a man wearing all black. He had a large tan straw hat on his head, tipped low so as to hide his face. At his side was strapped a katana within a brilliantly shining golden sheathe. Who is he? This was the only though that was in Imhotep's mind amidst the pain. He couldn't speak to the newcomer because he was screaming, screaming for his life due to the incredible pain he felt at this moment.
"Ah...I got here too late. I'm sorry. I wish I could have saved you, but now it looks like I'll have to destroy you. You're too far into the hollow transformation." the man said as he placed a hand to his katana and drew it from the brilliantly shining sheathe. He advanced towards Imhotep, who by now realized what he was trying to do. Destroy me? Hollow? No! Don't! Stop! These were Imhotep's thoughts as the man drew closer. However, by then, Imhotep's right eye had been covered completely by the white goo, completing his transformation. A shockwave erupted from his body and sent the man dressed in black flying away.
"No! He's finished the transformation!" the man in black exclaimed as he regained his footing. He stared into the dust, waiting for it to clear. When it did, however, what he saw made him gasp in shock. The thing he saw after the smoke cleared was no longer human shaped. It was no longer Imhotep. His figure was now mummylike. He had no legs and was instead hovering with the bandages that should have covered his legs flapping in the wind. His arms were long, almost down to where his legs should have been, and where fingers should have been were long claws. The face of the mummy like hollow had a mask on it, however, this mask was oddly shaped. The entirety of the mask took the shape of a vertical eye with the rest of it surrounding the back of it's head.
The mummy hollow creature roared. It was a sickening roar that frightened the man in black even more. All he could do was stand there in shock at the hollow before him. Within the next second, the mummy hollow was gone, disappearing from the man's view. Next, he was in front of the man, he right claw coming forward to pierce the man's chest. He gasped and coughed up blood as he stared into the single vertical eye mask. The mummy hollow moved it's own head closer to the man's and a faint growl was heard. It was all over for the man dressed in black. A mouth suddenly ripped open on the mummy's chest and the man was thrust into it. With that, his life was ended. Reiatsu exploded from the mummy hollow, and a hole was torn open in the air before it. The mummy hollow stepped inside and disappeared into the swirling blackness of the hole.
"Must...feed.." the mummy hollow growled as it reappeared within a sandy desert much like Egypt. However, in this sandy desert, there was no sun, only a moon. The pale moonlight illuminated the dark desert for miles around. It was some kind of lifeless desert. The mummy hollow roared upon seeing that there was nothing around but sand for miles around. "Must...must...feed..." came it's raspy voice once again. It floated through that moonlit desert, looking for more prey to eat.
It was years later, and the hollow that had once called itself Imhotep continued roaming that vacant, moonlit desert. It ate any and everything that it could find, growing powerful as a result. Anything that came across it's path was sucked into the mouth that opened up on its chest. It continued like this for the mummy hollow for years until it changed one day after eating a rather powerful hollow. It grew much larger than it had originally been and it's body became draped in a black cloak. It's mask didn't seem to change though. It was still the vertical eye shaped fishbowl covering it's face and head. It had become a Menos Grande, a conglomeration of all of the hollow it had eaten. However, the primary hollow mind that had once called itself Imhotep was strong enough to make it to the top of all of the other hollow mind's and personalities. It's will was strong enough to survive amongst that population of memories and personalities.
This large creature continued roaming throughout the desert, defeating and eating any other hollow that attacked it. For some reason though, as a Menos Grande, the hollow only attacked when it itself was attacked. Only when hollow tried eating it did it defend itself and instead eat those hollow. This was the way in which it's life was. Defending from other hollow everyday and eating those that were too weak to defeat it. Eventually, after devouring all of those other hollow as a Menos Grande, it became an Adjuchas.
As an adjuchas, it looked much like it's original hollow form except now, it had grown legs. And as an Adjuchas, it was no longer primitive and animalistic. It could speak. With the ability to speak, it found a new power. It was able to hurt hollow with simple words. It's words were strong. With this power, it was able to defeat countless hollow that came before it. None of the other hollow had ever come upon such a power, and as a result, they all fell. Sometimes though, the hollow that had once called itself Imhotep only barely survived. It's words didn't always help. It sought more power as a result to overcome this.
It eventually became paranoid. It could feel its power slipping away, and that is why it began eating more and more hollow. It traversed all of Hueco Mundo looking for hollow to eat. It's rampage was simply to keep it's power from slipping away. It could feel it. Everyday, it's power could be felt growing less and less. It became afraid. It's paranoia grew, and it began thinking that someone was after it. It believed that the culprit of the power drain was some hollow that was after him. Some powerful hollow that was able to take away his powers without him knowing. Without him being able to defeat it. As a result, he became more cautious and wary.
One day, when it was about to kill a random hollow that had attacked it, the hollow spoke a name. It paid no attention to the name and simply devoured the hollow, absorbing it's power to grow stronger. Only when it's power began slipping away again after not being able to find hollow did it remember that name. "Las Noches." With that name, it roamed all of Hueco Mundo. It searched high and low, asking any hollow it fought for information before defeating them and devouring them. It took years, but he was able to do it by a stroke of luck.
With a smile on his face, the mummy Adjuchas walked up the stairs of Las Noches. Finally, the power that it had been waiting for. Power that would allow it to grow strong enough to stop the other hollow from making him weak again by stealing his powers. He would be strong enough to destroy them all. That's what instinct told him this place would give. Power. And when he reached the top of the stairs, there was someone already there waiting for him. All he remembered was seeing teal hair before he blacked out. Having traversed such a long distance, the mummy like Adjuchas had grown very tired. It hadn't slept because its paranoia had kept it from doing so. Due to that, it's body had been running on pure adrenaline alone.
Later when awakening, the hollow noticed that it's body was now different. It had human like legs and arms. It's whole body was human like. It sat up and looked around through a single eye hole. For some reason, it's fishbowl like hollow mask had not disappeared. "What happened? Where am I?" the hollow spoke out loud, not realizing that it had done so until it received an answer. It was told that it was in Las Noches and that it was now an Arrancar. Then, the hollow being was asked it's name. It thought for a bit, and then finally, it was able to come up with something. "Gen...since I have been reborn in the same way spring brings rebirth..." the hollow, now known as Gen spoke. "From now on, my name is Gen Shizuo." Gen said.
From that day on, Gen served under the man who had turned him into an Arrancar. He would later learn that this was Sonken Kouhai. King of Las Noches. Gen never really understood why a shinigami, something he later learned, was leading a group of hollow. It was like the Roman's leading the Egyptians. Gen still doesn't understand it, but he hopes that in time he will. For now, he serves Sonken Kouhai faithfully following his own philosophy in life of keeping balance. He has also sought out the teal haired Arrancar who he saw on the stairs before passing out. That is where his adventure begins.
The Beginning

Hours Later
Hollow Life
Imhotep woke up laying on the hot sand the next morning.
Years Later
