Changing cunning type

If I would start with my character as a cunning type, and I would change it to a soldier type, does my character maintain it's free points in analysis? I doubt it, but I'd still like to know from some more experienced players. (Please tell me it's possible)

Firstly, if you want to change type after making your character, you'd have to do so through a CIU (Change-It-Up) which requires IC reason for the type change. Secondly, no, you don't get to keep the free points in analysis. It's not fair to hold on to a type bonus if you're no longer that type
