Amalia scowled at the mere notion that she move as a result of some beast. While Amalia had used trickery in the past, she was never shy about sharing her genuine feelings about a person or situation. A simple gaze could properly revile her foes or allies. She was expressive and remorseful in her vocal condemnation of creates such as these. She not only felt superior, but truly believed herself superior. That alone prompted her to go against her better judgement and remain where she stood, despite the smoke screen caused by the smoke. She was, yet again, struggling to tame her hubris and indulge her instincts.
With a venomous stare and the hint of a sneer on her lips, she vanished and appeared upwind of the smoke. She had heeded Jyruria's advice, but reluctantly. In truth, she was not concerned with a subordinate offering advice. She was far more concerned with the appearance of retreating. She had no intention of abandoning the battle, but losing her position was an uncomfortable move for her. It meant her enemy was able to affect her, which chipped away at the veneer she used to to project an image of confidence and noble standing Small thing such as these were at the heart of Amalia's internal struggles.
With Jyuria likely following close-behind, Amalia focused her energy sensory on the surrounding area. They might not be the most spiritual rich creatures, but they certainly seemed to go out of their way to allow what little spiritual energy they did have bleed into the environment. "Messy beasts." She said caustically with a slight smile upon her lips. "You know..." She said before pausing. "...I never quite understood why such creatures manifested in this world. Or why they decided to try and place a stake in things, as if they were meant for something more than crawling across the ground." Amalia's words were punitive and degrading, though she managed to do with with a subtle grin. "Perhaps they were put her for our amusement." She tapped her cheek contemplatively and pursed her lips lightly. "Some heavy delousing and some fresh water would transform them into something truly worthwhile."
Amalia casually glanced at Jyuria, noticing her arrows fluttering around. "Oh, dear, you seemed to have lost some of those charming creatures of yours. Do pay closer attention to them." She said dismissively. Ignoring her involvement in Jyuria's inability to spot them through the smoke screen. Amalia continued to fantasize about the usefulness of these beast clan members. "Yes, fur accessories. The possibilities are rather endless, aren't they? And being more sentient they boast more appeal, more luxury. Yes..." She stated with an almost insatiable hunger to her words.
"Augen Gottes" She said trance-like as her irises vibrated and dilated before becoming embossed by a hagal rune. She inhaled and exhaled repeatedly as the pain of being a technique master washed over her body. Her eyes remained open while she bit her lip sightly, the pain coursing through her body. It was particularly notable in this instance, as the technique was demanding of reiatsu. It allowed her not only to lock-on to beast that burrowed below the surface, but acquire his unique spiritual signature, though his strengths resided elsewhere. She laughed softly under her breath before tilting her head and smiling. "You cannot hide from these eyes, my dear. His majesty's gaze is infinite."
Her proud words had easily indicated the technique she was using. Two long-horned beasts approached, one a dark brown and the other a dark gray. They resembled an ibex, as their horns were distinctively large and curved. To their left, a smaller, but more recognizable beast scampered across before staring down Amalia and Jyuria. The beast clearly resembled a porcupine, though its needs were far more pronounced. The porcupine suddenly curled up into a ball and its energy was noticeably shifting. Amalia narrowed her eyes, taking notice of its sudden use of Yaseishin. "Simple creatures acting bold." She uttered bitterly as she summoned her eiku.
"Come now." She taunted before the creature hurled itself in her direction. It was fast, very fast. She used movement and bolted to the left, veering away from Jyuria. She didn't want her own battle conflicting with Jyuria, but she also needed to keep a close eye on her. She wanted to both watch her battle, to assess her, and ensure her safety should the scales tip against them. She took her eyes off the porcupine beast for but a moment, which was all it needed. It jumped into the air while spinning, nearly catching her off-guard. Its speed was impressive, better than her own base speed even. It was upon her and its body spun like a wheel as the spines across it ground into the soil. They were razor sharp. She lunged to the left and leapt back. She swung her eiku with considerable force and smashed the broad side into the beast. The force of its spinning caused even her Eiku to ricochet off the porcupine.
Her eyes widened just before it pivoted and bolted toward her. "It's so fast." She thought to herself. She scoffed and swatted at the porcupine beast once more, but its needles were able to repel her strike. "The speed at which he spins and the integrity of those spines produces enough momentum to cancel my physical blows." She pressed her hand against the broad side of the eiku and held the handle firmly with her other hand. It leapt at her and spun its needles into her eiku with enough force that she was knocked from the sky. She landed on the ground below, barely managing to remaining standing. She glared angrily at this beastclan member. Not only was it an insult to be attacked by such a creature, but to be overpowered in front of her subordinate. Absolutely humiliating. Absolutely ENRAGING!
It spun across the ground and zoomed in her direction again. Her feet firmly planted on the ground she prepared to attack him. She was going to shock the simple creature with something less physical. She was going to rely on her other gifts. And it was going to burn! Suddenly the ground quaked beneath her as she struggled to remain balanced. She quickly darted to the left as the ground collapsed beneath her feet. She had allowed herself to forget about the original one. No matter, her gaze was nearly complete. She would be able to launch techniques and they would follow his every move. It did, appear, however, they were collaborating. The one beneath the ground must be monitoring what is going on.
"Jyuria..." She began to say before she was interupted. Needles were fired upon her like bullets. One struck her across the left shoulder before she vanished using hirenkyaku. She inspected her shoulder for a moment before a disgusted look formed across her face. "You stupid little bastard." She remarked sharply. "I'm going to pluck every one of your quills and when i'm done, I'm going slice your tender body into pieces before feeding you to your kin forcefully." Her threats were ominous, but made worse with the wicked expression she was displaying. The earth beneath her began to rumble before she leapt into the air and summoned Mächtiger Pfeil (mighty arrows). The massive, spear-like arrows formed in the sky around her. She send sent one hurtling into the ground that began to crumble. It detonated in a fiery burst of energy, causing the ground to rupture, sending debris everywhere. She glared at the porcupine beast. "You're next."
The porcupine began to spin around, sending its quills hurtling in both Jyuria and Amalia's direction. Amalia them away with a swing of her eiku before sending all her spears at the porcupine. She grinned and bared her teeth slightly. "Ha. You didn't think I let you escape my gaze, did you?" Her spear-like arrows soared through the air as she flung her hands forward, directing them. "Run all you like. It doesn't matter any longer." She said as she watched the porcupine curl into a ball and spin across the ground, weaving around objects in an effort to the lose the spears. "Only a matter of time." She said delightfully.
