[blockquore]It felt....strange.
It was an understatement, admittedly. How exactly DID one come to terms with such a wild and crazy life?
By doing the thing she always did she supposed. Working on Hollows. And what better place than the soul society? Of course there was probably a number of individuals who would have thought 'Was she crazy?' At least when they made note of WHERE she chose to train herself. The wilderness. An entire realmof the soul society, and as it were: the souls only inhabited a small chunk. A ridiculously massive expanse, but compared to the wilds, it was still a woefully small space.
Past the point where the distance would even be recorded in triple digit miles, Jyuria had chosen one of her old Hollow hunting grounds. And of course... there were also her new powers. Even without the emperor, her soul had found it's own way. Her bow shrouded around her form, that massive cloak of soft-glowing feathers, wrapped around her body, the gentle swish of her arrows orbiting her form, flying in insane circles about her body, those sentient little things having already shredded their way through several hollows, the quincy standing idly as those arrows moved around her, idly raising her hand so that one of those little seraphs could land on her hand, that little thing making a silent chirp at her as it began crawling along her arm and up her shoulder.
It wasn't until those arrows had suddenly changed direction that she noticed the new presence, looking over her shoulder in time to see the little fleet of arrows piercing through the limbs of a hollow, swarming around them as the beast screeched. It fumbled, staggering about as those arrows sliced through it's flesh, piercing through and continuing to swarm around it. It was so distracted that it didn't notice the gentle whisper of hirenkyaku as Jyuria appeared infront of it, and with a forceful spin and a flourish of that hooded cloak, the sharp feathers that covered that unique bow of hers, suddenly ceasing it's glowing as that white cloak tore it's way through the hollow's mask, ripping into it's face.
She backed off as the beast suddenly staggered, blood dripping from her cloak, a brief flare of reiatsu as an arrow formed along the edge, crawling it's way along the cloak, the blood dissolving from existence just as fast as the rest of the hollow's body. She paused, eyeing the swarm of arrows that went right back to circling protectively around her, eventually answering her mental command and perching on her shoulders like a little flock of pigeons. She smiled softly to herself and chuckled just a little.
"Birds of a feather swag togetha right? I aughta get you guys some little sunglasses." She snickered to ehrself, pausing just a little. Actually now that she thought about it. She flexed her reiatsu, letting those arrows briefly melt into her bow before re-emerging, tiny little sets of sunglasses forming on their little non-faces. The little seraphs immediately launched from her cloak and began flying around them, shrieking through the air as she could only barely keep track of all of them.
She let out a soft breath, huffing just a little as she took a moment to focus her attention, rolling her shoulders as she idly relaxed just a little, focusing her spiritual energy and flexing it, letting her spiritual energy rumble around her form, taking just a moment to appreciate how much progress she'd made. She had never imagined that she'd get her quincy powers back. she let out a gentle little sigh, pausing when a little voice whispered to her. The hairs on the back of her neck itching softly when she looked over her shoulder and noticed it's source.
"Empress."
The rasp was familiar. The name of the Hollow was Esredra, but as a quincy, he had been named Isaju. Even now she felt a tingle in her spine as she could feel her connection with the man. The bond that was irrevocable. His mouth dripping with the blood of some of the hollows that she'd injured but had managed to get away. She then ealized she could sense the rest of them. The other quincy that she'd 'saved' so long ago. The ones she still planned on saving again, once they managed to remove their masks.
"Stay hidden Es." She commanded softly, the hollow nodding as he faded into thin air, a garganta wrapping around his body. She sighed, shaking her head softly as she looked around, eyeing her surroundings as she took a moment. She ordered those arrows of hers to spread out, scouting the area to hunt down any stragglers. She had to make sue that the area was clear. And once her arrows came back to her she raised her hand, blackness dripping from her palm as the shadows melted over, forming a shape before the black dripped away, leaving a single plain white chair. With a little hum, Jyuria seated herself and stared at her surroundings. Thoughts flitting through her mind.
What was to say she could not make a little outpost here? Sure she might have to find a valley or something to make it in. But given how very far she was from even the furthest edge of the rukongai, hmmm... She'd have to run it by John. Perhaps he'd have an opinion on the matter. But for the time being she simply decided to relax, her Arrows continuing to fly around, some of them roosting in nearby trees. She'd give herself a break, then start moving again. She could see a set of mountains off in the distance. It would certainly help to have a location scouted out already before she went to John after all...
