First Theme: Legacy of Sacrifice
Tsajara's primary theme is Legacy of Sacrifice derived from her Fear of a Meaningless Death. Ever since her loss of power, she and Niraja have both suffered under the idea that they will die having changed nothing, effected nothing, meant for nothing. They have since come to understood that meaning comes not from how they die, but how they live. Fearing death is no way to cling to meaning, nor to cling to any semblance of a legacy. Those that are remembered are those who sacrifice themselves for the greater good. Those who give up everything for the sake of others.
Legacy of Sacrifice: Moses's Bush
Class: 2-0
Description: This technique embodies the sacrifice an individual makes in order to protect what matters. Wether that is an ideal, or another person. The Story of Moses and the Burning Bush is one of legend. The moment when a man decided to give his etire life to his people, to his god, to his belief, to the concept of freedom. In a cruel twist of irony, this technique robs a target of their freedom.
This technique at first seems identical to Tsaja's Hunting Grounds that happens during her Ressureccion. A massive, thorny bramble 15 (25 meters at class 1, 60 meters at class 0) meters in radius forms around the combatants, growing not only from the ground and available solid surfaces, but out of the air itself as the force of the technique causes reishi to cluster, and then condense into little clusters from which the brambles grow out of. The brambles grow at a speed of 600, surrounding both her and her opponents in black thorns. And immediately after, at Tsaja or Nira's command, the entire bamble goes up in flames. However, the vines remain completely undamaged, and refuse to be reduced to ash, creating one MASSIVE inferno. No matter where she is, this technique draws the attention of EVERYTHING for miles, as Dread's and Nira's spiritual pressure ROARS from the entire bush. This makes it incredibly hard to detect them, adding 1 (2 at class 0) to their natural Stealth score (This cannot increase it beyond 4) and unleashes a massive heat to any inside of the bramble. This heat is specifically designed not to burn, but instead causes anyone but Nira, Tsaja, or allies of the pair, to be subjected to oppressive Dehydration and overheating. Any fluid within the area that is not immediately touching a person's body (the saliva in your mouth, the mucus covering your eyes) is immediately turned into a cloud of mist which rises rapidly to the top of the bush.
The first stage of exposure to the heat offers nothing but a strong drying effect. The second stage, a target's skin will crack and split, causing them to bleed. On the third stage the target will begin to hallucinate and unless they have a Battle Focus of 3, will be unable to fully concentrate on the fight, severely reducing their focus. On the stage post, the effects cause the target to sweat profusely, which then begins to boil as it leaves their skin, causing burns along the target's exposed skin.
These effects are delayed based on the target's class. Those of inferior class begin at Stage 1 immediately upon exposure to the flames. Those of equal class have a 1 post delay before effects begin to sink in. Those 2 classes or above will not only not feel these effects for 2 posts, but each stage lasts two posts instead of 1. Heat Resistance naturally adds 1 post of delay ontop of class delay for every point in HR they have.
Drawback: This technique, while capable of inflicting light wounds and loss of focus, does not have any highly damaging aspects to it, and additionally makes it VERY hard for Tsaja and Nira to attain blood for Endless Bloodlust, requiring that they get blood from the source instead of any possibility of getting it from blood pools.
Legacy of Sacrifice: Icarus Wings
Class 2-0
Description:During Fragment release, both Nira and Tsaja sprout two sets of burning wings: one from their backs, and a set sprouting from their ankles. These wings burn brightly, almost like they were forged from the sun itself. Born of the Legacy of Icarus, the one who had flown too close to the sun and burned his wings, these additions to Nira and Tsaja's body serve as both transport and means of attack. Each set of wings sporting a wingspan of 5 meters (1 meter for those sprouting from their ankles), these additions are quite large. Additionally, the feathers from these wings molt continuously. Whenever one of them is struck, it immediately releases a cloud of feathers in a radius of 5 meters around the point of impact, and disperses about 20 feathers. These feathers seek out and stick to enemies, at which point they can be detonated, resulting in a small explosion similar to that of a bala from each of the feathers, the strength of this explosion is only 75% of their offensive power, though because of the large number of explosions, this can easily overpower some defenses by the sheer amount of heat given off by the explosions. It is noted that the concussive force of these explosions is not very high, but in fact cause incredible burn damage as they give off a lot of heat.
Dispersed feathers move at a speed of 800, but will not pursue a target for more than 20 meters before drifting to the ground.
Drawbacks: Outside of the exploding feathers that the wings supply, the wings themselves are not very durable. While the feathers can be used to cut opponents, they only have a durability equal to 80% of the user's offensive stat (sppr or RS).
Second Theme: Blood for Glory
Tsajara's secondary theme is Blood for Glory, derived from her flaw Scarlet Fever, her developing addiction to seeing blood, being around it, and even drinking it. This depraved and undeniable flaw of hers is rather disgusting, but she has learned to cope with this odd fixation she has, and in fact has learned to benefit from it in battle. Sacrifice is often taken in blood, and with her wishes to die a glorious, meaningful death, she has come to understand that the final act in her life will be played out on a crimson stage. Her final act will be bloody, she may as well enjoy it.
Blood for Glory: Endless Bloodlust
Class 2-0
Description: So long as her fragment release is active, Dread and Nira's wounds bleed profusely. However, she no longer seems to have to worry about bleeding out. As the sight of blood, be it her own, or someone else's, excites her and Nira, Dread's body ramps up to keep up with the demand, and while the wounds themselves can still do her in, she will not succumb to bloodloss, and in fact will not seem able to clot. If Dread or Nira can manage to drink an opponent's blood (at least a mouthfull), this acts like a drug for the both of them, causing a sudden burst of energy, suppressing their ability to feel pain, and even allowing incredible regeneration short of healing vital organs.
Drawback: This lack of clotting persists for a short time even after Fragment release ends. If she fails to heal her wounds at the end of her fight, she will have to contend for 2 posts of this increased bleeding, but without the replenishing blood supply, if she is not careful, once her release ends, even if she is victorious, she may very well meet her end from bloodloss. The vampiric portion of this ability also subjects both Nira and Tsaja to techniques that transmit harmful effects through blood, though effects that are not the result of a technique (diseases, incompatable bloodtypes, ect) do not ail them.
Nira and Tsaja cannot drink eachother's blood to trigger enhanced regeneration.
Blood for Glory:Butcher's Fever
Class 2-0
Description: Dread and Nira's blood during release becomes infected with her lust for blood. But for those who have not lived with Dread's particular brand of bloodlust suffer a much more severe and sudden need. If any any time, Dread or Nira's blood comes into direct physical contact with their body itself, they become infected with Butcher's Fever. They immediately are afflicted with the NEED to drink blood. This need is so great that they are immediately addicted. For every post that they cannot manage to drink another person's blood (at least a mouthfull) they suffer withdrawal.
The first post, this withdrawal makes the normal threshold for high speed even more severe, as Dread's blood collects in the muscles and crystalizes after effecting the nervous system (resulting in the urge to drink blood). Without another person's blood to keep it stable, the crystals are agitated and dissove, reintroducing the toxin to the muscle instead of the nerves, causing damage to the surrounding tissue. If the target moves faster than 300 speed, the stamina drain is much mote intense. For every 500 speed past 3000 that is being used, the target suffers an extra post's worth of continuous combat in terms of stamina. (Moving at 5000 speed counts as 5 posts of High-Speed stamina drain). Past 6000 speed, this actually physically damages the body, causing tearing of the muscle and deep bruising as the muscles hemorrhage. At 7000 speed, the target's muscles shred and become useless.
Stepping techniques count for going past this amount.
Drawback: This technique does not discriminate between allies and enemies, and although Nira and Tsaja cannot infect eachother, this can become problematic if an ally comes into contact with their blood.
