Training for TP
Much change had been going on since the Captain took reign over Squad 2. Training regiments, Operation routines, intelligence gathering, every aspect had been improved upon and more. Each member of the Squad is in fact important. Their duties went beyond that of the average Shinigami would have in other squads. As other squads operated in taking on their enemies in plain sight, or securing the safety of the Seireitei, Squad 2 operated in the shadows to destroy the enemies that could not be seen. The dirty fact was their operations dealt more with the hidden nature of Soul Society, handling the filth in which others wouldn't wish to partake of. That was their mission.
Deception, assassination, sabotage, and carrying espionage operations within enemy lines was their mission. But, as a squad that resided with Seireitei, carrying on its mark, there were things that even they could not do in the open. Stuck by the rules and regulations which all Shinigami had to go by limited their capabilities. On paper at least. From the occurring events that taken place Soul Society was in fact in danger. The lack of security which Squad 7 was suppose to uphold was crumbling with crime claiming the outskirts of the Seireitei. A criminal Mastermind by the name of Douma ran portions of the Rukon Districts, and remain unchallenged.
The clash between noble families continued onward. Although silent for the time being, like a battle of assassins, the war was raged in the silence of the darkness. From what intelligence was gathered one of the Nobles was interfering with the World of the Living. This was wide spread news in the land of American when an individual with the name of "Kuikchiki" was running for the Presidency. While her Squad really had little dealings with the World, such news as this wasn't able to remain hidden from the Captain's ears. As such, further investigation into the matter only brought to mind a much greater concern. It appeared that Sozen, Head of the Kuichiki Family, was running for President. Such a thing should never have happened, nor be allowed. What was going on in Soul Society?
The mission of the Gotei was to defend the balance of the worlds and maintain order. By introducing one of the Shinigamis into the world of the living was disregard for their purpose. Yes, some would agree that control by a spirit with a vast wealth of knowledge and experience would help deter humanity away from destruction. That it could be seen as a mission to provide aid in a matter which only the Shinigami could provide. However, this wasn't the aid that the world needed. No, this was a power grab. Sozen Kuichiki was interfering with the World of the Living. His presence being known to that world would disrupt the balance entirely. And the best part was no one, not Central 46 nor the Captain Commander was raising hell as to what he was doing. Was everyone in the Seireitei fainting ignorance to current events?
Something had to be done about this, which was why Harle called to arms her Special Operations group, Tsunami. Over the course of time it had been Kenryoku who had been advertising their name around the realm of the Soul Society. That same time Harle sent that very group to eliminate those forms of advertisement and propaganda. People, flyers, all of them were to be disposed of effective immediately. However, that was not all there was to it. Just as some of those issues were dealt with others came to challenge the success of cleansing Soul Society. In all honesty Harle was baffled by what had been occurring. She was going to put a stop to it all.
All the reason why Harle entered into the wilderness outside of Rukon. She was lingering around about to ready herself to take "care" of one those nuisances. Not everyone could be trusted among her ranks. Neither in Squad 2 or in Tsunami. Traitors were everywhere. The good news was Squad 2 was being utilized as a means to intelligence gathering. While on missions and patrols her squad unknowingly gave their Captain information on enemy movements and rumors. Missions in dealing with such matters fell onto Tsunami to take care of. Yet, even they had to be tested. The buddy system was put into play in order to weed out traitors within the ranks. Like her squad, they too were to be dealt with.
Those who couldn't be trusted were to be removed from the ranks, permanently. Within the confides of the wilderness was a small base which held the traitors of Tsunami and Squad 2. Informants, spies, and messengers. Few if not all were to be meeting at that base within the next few hours. Like all spy rings they made sure that their members were not to meet at the same time, therefore, should they be discovered they can escape and maintain a few of their colleagues in key positions. No names were listed, as such, the assault on this base was crucial. No other would have known about this but one person. That same person who was suppose to be meeting the Captain under the moon-lit night.
The Captain donned her Tsunami attire. Black garments with her strands of brunette sprouted forth from the gap of her mask. All she had to do was wait, and hope she would arrive in the next few minutes as her Hell Butterfly instructed. At the moment the moon was at its highest, and with the Captain clinging onto the peak of the dying tree, she remained silent, and waited.
