Soul Eater: He who bleeds on a Halloween Night

"Tch, damn bouncing bastard" Blaze cursed as he was bounced off the spider and to a wall. He heard Karan speak and felt himself retracted back into his hand. "Right!" Blaze responded with a fighting spirit in his voice, ready to executed his own plan. He felt himself get thrown and he directed himself so he ricocheted off the walls several times so that his wire would surround the area entirely, since Karan had jumped up into the air. He made sure to position it just right so that the wires were lined up to go between the egg's spikes. "Now." Blaze stated after the wires were set up and he saw that Karan was in position as well, having avoided the egg's attack. He felt himself get tugged and in a second, the multiple lines of wire closed in on the egg in a flash, glinting once in the light as it traveled. The wire would slice cleanly through the spider, tightening around it immensely as soon as all the wires made contact at once. The process seemed similar, to Karan at least, of a person using one of those apple slicers on an apple that cut it into several, even, moon shaped pieces. Blaze retracted himself back into Karan's hand, transforming back into his human for and standing beside him, grinning as Karan told him to feast. He approached the soul casually and grasped it with one hand, then stuffed the entire thing all at once into his mouth, his cheeks puffing out a beat as he devoured the afreet's soul. "Nom...nom...nom..." were the noises that came from Blaze as he ate the soul and swallow it, licking his lips.

[Hope Ichidou]

Umi saw that the afeet egg had been pierced. She then noticed it was reconstructing itself. However not only was it reconstruction itself but it was becoming two instead of one. Maybe cutting it in half wasn't such a good idea. Then the two halves took separate paths and charged at her from the left and the right. Umi thought of something quickly. It was a long shot but she would need to hope for it to work because if not she was going to be in for trouble. "Shizune, wings now!" Umi bent her legs and shot into the air with great speed. She was relying on Shizune and her ability to morph. She needed to be brought high enough to evade the two. If not then she was going to regret it. She still gripped onto Shizune with her hands. When she changed she would just move to her back to pull her up higher. They hadn't done this particular form to much and it wasn't to reliable.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizune watched as the two figures ran towards them. She heard her partner tell her to change into wings, and decided she could do it. If anything, it would hold for a few seconds, just to get Umi out of the way of the monsters' path. She glowed a bright purple once again, and carefully moved herself behind Umi to attempt to attach to her back. Once Shizune had positioned herself the way she wanted, she finished transforming and ceased glowing. When the bright color broke away, Shizune made a face to herself. "Ehhh... My body didn't listen to me," she said. She rubbed the back of her head and nervously laughed as she presented herself on Umi's back as a giant blow dryer. Maybe I could use this to my advantage... Shizune quickly shot fiery hot air below her and Umi, and propelled them both into the sky. The monsters beneath them collided and gave Umi and Shizune time for their next attack. "Think we should burn them?" Shizune suggested, slightly smiling at her idea.

The two creatures clashed, and were left there. Just as they were there, open for a finishing blow, the spider over where Blaze and Karan were was diced up (though you guys did an auto hit, and I did have a counter to your move for the spider), and the soul was visibly eaten. Ice could sense that the two, Blaze and Karan, were already done, so he quickly (with Aibi and Bianca now in human form) rushed over with a quick jog. It took him about three minutes to get to where they were. He'd positioned himself close, so it didn't take tremendously long. He of course, didn't speak at all, and neither did his weapons. Earlier, while fighting, he'd instructed them not to talk while near the other meisters. Being a three star meister, and thus a teacher, it was Ice's job to evaluate these students. He was actually supposed to check out their emotional value and their strength value right now, that was his mission.

And so, Ice was here simply to evaluate. The first words that they spoke would tell him a lot about them, and whether or not they'd need disciplinary actions taken. In the past, Ice had met students that couldn't even recognize that he was a Meister. Most students should be able to tell the difference between a regular person, and a Meister. Not many could see Souls, however most had enough sensory skill, or maybe just intuition, to be able to see that much. Meanwhile, over where Umi and Shizune were, something was watching. It was hyperventilating in the shadows, though Shizune and Umi wouldn't see it because darkness blotted it out, and wouldn't sense or hear it because they were high in the air, as well as in the middle of battle. In the meantime, droplets of blood were dripping from its mouth. What was watching them?

All right... aquireing next target..." Karan said as he closed his eyes. Karan used his Soul Sensory to scan the area, searching for Afreet Eggs to destroy. Karan sensed several things when he did this. One, obviously more Eggs were around, so it was easy to find them. Two, what were their names? Umi and Shizune was it? Those two were fighting an Afreet Egg, though another one was lurking around near them. Third... there was a powerful pressence nearby. Karan quickly looked up at the spot the source was at. It wasn't an Afreet Egg... nor was it a regular human... it felt like a Meisters pressence... so there was another Meister and more Weapons around here? Ahh well. Really didn't matter to Karan. Judging by the strength of the guys soul, he had to be a Three Star Meister at least. This led Karan to think that he was here to judge them for Shinigami Sama, since usually all Three Star Meisters were teachers. So Shinigami Sama was testing them was he? Fine, this was going to be rather fun after all. Karan snapped open his eys and looked at Blaze. "All right Blaze, there are a few more Eggs North-East of our position. Umi and Shizune are South-East of here, they are currently in battle with an Afreet Egg with another one probably going to attack after they finish off the first one. They should be fine, despite them being One Star Meister and Weapon. Finally, theres a teacher watching us. Probably Shinigami-Sama is testing us. Lets make this one of our best preformances then eh?" Karan said to Blaze with a smirk. Karan dashed off to the position of the North-East eggs. This was finally starting to get interesting.

Blaze nodded and he too began searching for his soul sensory to find where they should go next. He first sensed the other eggs that were around for which he hungrily wanted to devour. Blaze then turned his soul sensory to the other meister and weapon he had sensed earlier, Umi and Shizune. It seemed they were engaging in a battle with a egg and another was nearby them. Then, Blaze's attention turned and his eyes widened in surprise to what he felt next. He too also felt that there was a powerful presence nearby, seemingly watching over the two of them. Blaze looked upward, noticing that Karan was looking for the presence. Blaze could tell definitely that this presence wasn't alone, it was with two weapons. "Another Meister... stronger then Umi... and two weapons? I wonder who that could be?" Blaze pondered in his mind as he kept looking. Accordingly, he began sensing the soul strength of the person and realized it was incredibly stronger then what he had first sensed, way more powerful then Karan's so this person had to be a Three Star Meister. Blaze realized Karan looked at him and he looked back. He listeined, nodding in response to the first few things. "Ai, I feel it too." Blaze responded, talking about the potent meister and weapons that were watching them. "Heh, of course." Blaze stated coolly, smirking in response and dashed off in the direction with Karan, heading towards the North-East eggs, ready to conquer another and devour its soul.

[Hope Ichidou]

Umi's eyes widened as the events unfolded before her. She was not ready for all of this it was so sudden. She began to panic and turned around after being propelled into the air. Shizune was a giant blow dryer. She glanced down and saw the two collide. Then Shizune suggested something about burning them. Umi knew they didn't have enough fire power to burn them while they are like this they would need to use soul resonance and that was unnecessary, they simply needed to just blast the two with a large impacting force. "Turn into a rocket launcher, please, and we will fire the soul wavelength into them in a large impacting force to obliterate them." Umi suggested quickly while they had the opportunity. She got all ready all Shizune needed to do was form into a rocket launcher and Umi would fire.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizune transformed once again and placed herself in Umi's hand, resting the rest of her weapon form on her meister's shoulder. Once she did so, the light burst and displayed Shizune as a rocket launcher, just as Umi had asked. She smiled at her accomplishment, and used her meister's precision to fire a large soul wavelength mixed between the two of them at the monsters. A loud blast was heard as it crashed down onto the Afreet Eggs, causing a slight explosion from the impact, leaving a giant ditch in the ground where the two creatures once stood. Shizune was surprised at the amount of power that was used, then remembered that it didn't matter since she was a rocket launcher, and they naturally used a lot of power to work properly. She started to glow purple shortly, then flashed back on the ground in human form as the bright light faded. Now she was back in her original outfit, with her necklace changed to cobalt. Umi joined her shortly afterwards, seeing as she does not have the ability to stay air-born for long and must have caught herself on the ground once the attack on the monsters was over.

Shizune tilted her head at the sight of the glowing red souls. "They're so demented. It's as if someone just took a screw driver and beat them with it." She kind of laughed, then one by one, took the souls and devoured them. Once she was done, she sighed in contentment and turned around to Umi with a grin. "What now? Wanna catch up with the others?" She seemed completely oblivious to any others around them, and only focused on who she knew was present.

That was when it struck. From out of the shadows, a huge, black, roaring hound. It had glowing red eyes, and white tendrils coming out of its back. The hound was easily twenty feet tall while on all fours, and easily larger than that in length. It had huger carnivorous teeth which were dripping blood and saliva both, and clawed paws covered in guts. It howled and snarled at Umi and Shizune, its claws scraping lightly against the ground. Lightly. The ground beneath the claws was being torn off by the lightest scratches. This one wasn't nearly as weak as the two Afreet Eggs that had been beaten down just then. This hound was going to give not just quite a fight, but it was going to require assistance from Blaze and Karan. By then, at least one of them should have sensed it, even with weak sensory. The hound was giving off a huge, murderous aura. It was almost as if there was nothing to the hound but darkness.

In the meantime, over where he was, Ice quickly beat down three afreet eggs without using Aibi and Bianca, killing them so that the two could snack. He could sense it too though, the gigantic beast that had just approached Umi and Shizune. He was hoping that out of the two meisters and their weapons, at least one of them would be smart enough not to underestimate the beast. Ice knew one thing for certain. One and two star Meisters weren't very bright, and they were incredibly cocky. They were sure to underestimate a huge amount of their foes, and generally this would get them either wounded or killed. That was why they were one star and two star meisters.

"Ohh shit!" Karan suddenly shouted. He skidded to a stop and looked in the general direction of Umi and Shizune. This was bad, he had drastically underestimated the enemy by them. It gave off a stronger soul signature then what Karan had previously estimated it at. With this level of enemy, Shizune and Umi would be over powered in no time! "Blaze! Gotta go back, those two are in trouble!!" Karan said to Blaze. Karan raced off in the direction of the other Meister and Weapon. Even though Karan was usually a lone wolf kind of guy, he couldn't let something horrible like this happen to those two. This thing was strong! They would need to work together to take this beast down. "Gah, gotta go faster!" Karan muttered to himself. By this time Karan had abandoned the roads in favor of the roof tops. This would allow Karan and Blaze to get to Umi and Shizune much faster then the roads, plus they could get into the battle faster this way. They needed to hurry! Time was running out!!

[Zieg Revolver]

Blaze's eyes widened and he skidded to a stop also when he suddenly felt an egg's powerful soul signature. He hadn't paid close attention to it and had presumed it was minor, not a major threat. "Damn it." Blaze cursed, shifting into his weapon form immediately so Karan could attack right when they got there. He coiled the end of the metallic string around his index finger as Karan began running, only letting a couple feet of it hang. "Haul it Karan, they won't last long against something like that." Karan explained, keeping his soul sensory attention on the afreet egg they were heading towards that threatened to overwhelm Umi and Shizune. He couldn't believe that he let his hunger for more souls get the better of him and distract him from his soul sensory. If he hadn't been too eager to get more souls, then he would of stated the need for them to assist the two others before they headed out, since noone could predict what a afreet egg was capable of mentally.

[Hope Ichidou]

Umi stepped back slowly as the beast approached. She was slightly scared. She didn't know what to do. The ominous beast nearly put her into a state of petrification. Her arms were quivering and she couldn't even focus on what to do. She needed something to bring her mind back into the right place. Maybe Shizune would be able to cool her off. It was obvious she wasn't going to do much like this. Also she was in a lot of danger so hopefully the other meister and weapon would show up quickly before things got to bad. If not then Umi and Shizune weren't going to be to fortunate. Umi could not lift her eyes nor her focus from the beast. She had never seen anything like this before. on her other missions she only had minimal and weak afeet eggs. Never anything like this.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

"Ew... That's gross." Shizune turned around and stared right into the eyes of the giant monster. Suddenly, she was struck with a huge bolt of fear and worry. She instantly knew why her meister was so panicked. "Uhh, Umi? We gotta go!" Shizune quickly grabbed Umi and forced large bright lights to form from her back. In times of need, sometimes adrenaline was necessary to get powers working. By the time the light faded, Shizune had large, angelic wings coming from her back. She took off into the air as high as she could, but wasn't able to gain much distance due to weight differences. "Sorry, Umi! I'd go higher but you're heavy..." Her wings began disappearing back into her body. Shizune managed to get her meister out of the way of the monster in short time, but she knew that she had more of a problem than she thought she would ever have to handle. She just wanted Umi safe. She wanted distance. Any distance was fine, but she needed something. Shizune took a deep breath and screamed, "Blaze! Karan! Anybody! Umi and I need help! We're going to be killed!"

One more step forwards. The beast was in place, snarling. Steam began drifting from its body. There was something terribly wrong with the beast, for it to be so powerful. Suddenly, Shizune's arms began snapping. Every bone broke at least six times, and the arms started contorting, becoming like play dough as they wrapped around Shizune's neck, trying to strangle the very life out of her. In the meantime, Umi was getting nothing better. Her legs suddenly caught fire, and flames danced up all around her, lapping at her. Black flames surrounded them in a circle, and the moon appeared to be coming down from the sky, crashing down on them along with thousands of meteors. Flames licking at Umi, Shizune's arms strangling her, the moon falling, stars falling, the sky tearing apart, this was armageddon, this was Hades come alive. And then, suddenly, it was all gone. Everything was back to normal. Karan and Blaze actually seemed unaffected.

It hadn't been as insane as a Kishin's aura, but that had been a taste of madness aura. The afreet egg was getting so strong that it was almost able to become a Kishin. Whereas before, the previous creatures had seemed close, this one was literally on the brink. One more devoured soul, and it would transform into a Kishin. That meant that they had to take it out now. If it were to become a Kishin, its power would magnify by ten, no, a hundred times. It would become a thing of such great power that there would be no stopping it. Shinigami-Sama was still bound to the academy, and so he couldn't help very much. Another Kishin would spell doom for all.

"Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap, oh crap oh crap." Karan muttered under his breath. That thing... its aura... there was no mistaking it. It was an Afreet Egg that was about to go Kishin on them. Ohh bloody hell. They needed to take that thing out, and fast, otherwise there would be a new Kishin running around. Plus the fact that Shinigami-Sama was bound to the academy and couldn't do anything about it at the moment. Karan and Blaze had to get there insanely fast to prevent Umi and Shizune from being eaten alive by the Egg. As they neared the battle ground, Karan heard Shizune's cry for help, and saw they were still alive. For now at least. As they neared the edge of the last rooftop, Karan looked down at their opponent. Ohhh he had vastly underestimated this foe. If it got Shizune and Umi, it would surely become a Kishin!! Karan drew back his hand that had Blaze in it and threw it as hard as he could at the Afreet Egg, now Karan could throw pretty damn hard when he wanted to, and even more so when he was ticked off. As of right now, he was thoroughly ticked off. The ground would be crushed from the force of the throw combined with the weight of the Yo-yo. If the Afreet Egg dodged, which it probably would, Karan would whip the Yo-yo up at it from its position. "Umi! Shizune! You two all right?!" Karan shouted at them.
