Item Name: (UE Contacts MK I)
Item Type:: (Wearable Tool)
Item Rank: (A)
Creation Skills: (Crafting 4)
Item Description:
This pair of contacts was made unique and custom for Vannan by Kazura. They aren't prescription, so they don't adjust eyesight at all, but they do have a few handy features. At mental command, these contacts can shade themselves into standard sunglasses to protect the eyes from bright lights and over exposure. To protect the eyes from more than just natural sunlight requires a second level of shading which costs 100 reiatsu per post and lowers visibility by 25% (100 senses would be an effective 75) while this shading is taking place. In addition, at mental command and a cost of 50 reiatsu, the lenses made out of Kazura's reiatsu circuit material can extend to allow the wearer to have a zoomed in view of an area. The zoom is fairly basic, reducing the apparent distance by ten feet, for example, making something twenty feet away look like it was ten feet away. Anything within ten feet of the user will appear to be in their face, though.
Price: (5,000 per pair)
Added to a shop?: (No)

Is this specifically just a 20 foot range maximum? If not, please list maximum values. Also, light sources above a certain amount should still cause damage; a Rank E item should not protect against all forms of visual sensory attacks.

Gave a maximum range for the zoom and reranked/repriced it for the higher visual sensory defense. Does that sound better, or do you have a different suggestion?

I still don't like a null-all visual blocker unless there's an appropriate drawback to it. Say, if you're going to block bright light sources, it cuts senses as related to vision by 50%, since you have to reduce vision to avoid being blinded. Otherwise this is good, though you could simplify the range bit by saying "allows the user to zoom images so that they seem to be up to ten feet closer than they actually are."
