Name: Please You're My Only Hope
Participants: 2-3 (Any Race Welcome)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Difficulty Level: Medium
Setting: NDE
Plotline: Two days ago one of the rare Substitute Shinigami went missing. Shinigami over the last two days have been deployed to the town of the substitute. However, haven't been able to find the whereabouts of their ally. What they did find though was a single note from apparent kidnappers of the substitute. Shinigami have been deployed now to find their ally and kill the kidnappers. At the same time Xcution and UE have sent out members in order to do just the same thing.
Here he was at a crossroads that he never assumed he would find himself at. His king had requested him to go and help locate a missing person in a strange land called Atlanta. He was eager to do so to prove his worth to his king, however to do so he would have to ride on one of those infernal metallic dragons. Here he was at a true cross roads would he follow the orders of his king and bite his pride and accept the help of a dragon, or would he disobey his king and bring shame to himself and his lord by breaking his oath of eternal loyalty to him.
This was something that caused him great amount of suffering. Yes he would be riding on the dragon that his lord had tamed himself personally, but it was still a dragon. How could he step into the belly of the beast and ride in there safely without worry that the beast would never open it's mouth? This really was a perplexing situation. He knew that he would agree, but how could he do so without the constant fear and worry that being in a dragon could be. His answer was yes to his king, he would go and bring honor to the kingdom by helping to find this missing person, but the idea of riding in a dragon weighed heavily on his mind.
It was the morning of the flight as they called it when someone he didn't know entered his room. It was a very strange thing to happen given that no one else lived on his floor. It was a young woman who held out a little white bag. “Kazura knows you feel a little uneasy about flying, please swallow one when your inside the pl- oh I mean dragon.” A gift from his king? What an honor it was to get such a thing, still it touched his heart to know that his king thought that much of him to prepare something for him. He silently nodded and took the bag. Closing his room and heading to the large building called the airport to meet his dragon for his flight.
Upon arriving there it seemed like his king had some men sent to help him maneuver through the large place with ease. It only took a few moments from getting to the airport to have him sitting on the metallic dragon. While it was smaller than the other ones he had seen it didn't help calm his nerves. The inside of the beast was rather impressive given it seemed to be well furnished, something he expected his king to have in his own throne room. Sitting in a chair he took out the little bag that he had been given and opened it. Inside where a few pills, he tilted his head and simply swallowed one whole knowing that his king had wisdom beyond his own. As he waited he felt his eyes getting heavy and his body as well. It didn't take long till he passed out sleeping in the chair.
By the time he awoke it seemed as if the dragon had landed, he was greeted by what appeared to be a rather well dressed serving wench who said that he had arrived. Baffled by this he sprinted out of the belly of the beast and saw the truth. He was in a different land and something else that brought joy to his ears. The tongue of his people was being spoken all about. While it was different then what he spoke he was overcome with joy to know hear it being spoken so commonly. With a grin on his face he took off leaving the airport in Atlanta and headed towards the last known place of the missing person. He had been given a rather well drawn map and that's all he needed to get there.

Finally, a different assignment. Before this Miranda had been sent to the other side of the world to search for any of the many deserters that fled their duties and posts in the following months. So far her search had been cold save for a body here and there. It seemed that a few that had trained so hard in the use of their -anpakuto had trouble fighting without them. It was a tragedy really, to willingly give up a piece of oneself in order to obtain the illusion of more power. Miranda shook her head, her grey eyes reading the text on the order relaying device she carried. She was to divert her attention to a place miles away down south in Atlanta. Apparently a substitute shinigami had gone missing, taken by unknown party.
Perhaps there was a connection between the rogues and this kidnapping, either that or the man power in this area is pretty thin. It wouldn't really surprise her. After all, Japan has been the spiritual center of the world for centuries. However if this Substitute had been taken, then the culprits responsible would be possibly strong as well. Miranda was still fairly green and fresh when it came to this kind of work. She'd have to find out what kind of help she'd be able to acquire once she had arrived in Atlanta.
Currently she was in a border town cafe in a place the people there call "Ten-at-sea" with the "t" being silent. Such a strange name for a piece of land. Of course she was no expert in land naming, but its peculiarity still hung deep in her throat. She payed her bill for the small meal she enjoyed and stepped out of the cafe into the crisp air. The time on her device told her midday but the dark grey clouds overhead could fool her. She yawned and slipped her device into her pants pockets. The eyes of the passing people were drawn on her, but not necesarily for her beauty. The gigai she inhabited wore american BDU pants, black boots and a green t-shirt tucked into her pants with a black leather belt holding it all in place.
Normally she didn't give off an aura of womanly charm, but here an occasional person would pass her, whistling approval at her attire. She didn't really mind though, it felt good to get attention every once in a while. (the good attention that is). Other people would comment on her strange silver hair or eyes. The Gigai itself was an exact replica of her own spiritual body, which brings into question on how in the hell Squad Twelve was able to recreate her body without her showing it to them. She'd have to check the barracks, showers, and lavatories when she got back for cameras.
Luckily for her a bus was departing from a local station for Atlanta fairly soon. After a few more minutes of catcalls, bewildered stairs, and walking, she finally boarded a bus heading to her destination. She chose a seat in the back and made herself comfortable. Taking her device from her pocket, she sent a message to the few shinigami stationed in Atlanta for any information regarding the matter. It was best to be prepared to immediately begin her work upon arrival.
After a few more hours of riding aboard this uncomfortable bus, she was finally where she needed to be. Quickly she paid her dues and exited her tranportation at Atlanta's airport with many others. She could have taken the bus deeper into the city, but this place may be a place to begin searching. Strangely it was taking a longer time than usual for the shinigami here in the city to get back to her regarding the mission. Perhaps they were busy on other matters. Well that wasn't going to stop Miranda Frost!

Well it seemed that there were a few that had been sent to deal with the issue of the missing Substitute Shinigami. It had only been two days and yet a disappearance wasn't something to happen all that often. Soul Society would be able to figure out if the individual had been killed in battle so that wasn't the case. Well it hadn't been the case when they had lost track of him so they were led to believe that he was being held hostage somewhere. The problem though was that this city was massive and finding one person would be a problem.
However, it seemed that both of the individuals that had been sent to deal with the disappearance arrived in virtually the same place around the same time. That was not something that would happen by chance. They would both need to go to one of two places though if not both if they didn't find one another and work together. The last place that the substitute had been prior to being kidnapped was the Aquarium. The largest one in the entire world. It had been the place where the note from the kidnappers was found.
They would have to look over the Aquarium for any bit of information hat they could in the hopes of finding out what happened. Although there was also the chance that information could be found at the home of the substitute. A small apartment on the twentieth floor near a park. Whichever they chose they would need to find some information that could help them while also being on the look out not to draw to much attention to themselves for they didn't know if the kidnappers would be watching.
Looking at the map it seemed that his destination was several miles away from where this strange building called the airport was. Taking in a deep breath he started for the location called the Georgia Aquarium. As he walked on the sides of the roads he couldn't believe his eyes seeing countless dragons zooming past him as he tried to follow the roads to this strange place. There was a slight chill in the air, which reminded him of his old home. Keeping to himself he tried to make his long trek to the aquarium shorter.
There was an odd feeling as he made his way down the streets. There were a few people dressed in clothing that seemed to sag on their bodies who gave him looks as he turned down an alleyway. Halfway down the alleyway they called out to him “hey boy, looks like you're lost. You turned down the wrong alley. Now we gunna have to fix that.” Looking at the few men who had followed him it was obvious what they were planning. While time had changed the look of people and the world it didn't change how those few who were thieves acted.
One took out a dagger charging at him. This was all the young knight needed to see in order to act out justice. He quickly slapped the man across the face with the back of his palm sending the man straight into the wall. Most of the man's skull was crushed upon impact. “FOOLS, thou dare to raise a blade to a knight. Thou hath a moment to prey to thy lord for forgiveness and mercy from I. If thee believe thy can best me in a duel then thou art welcome to try.” His words echoed in the alleyway as he looked at the remaining men.
Normally he wasn't one to harm another, however these thieves chose the wrong target to pick. He had no sympathy for thieves, they were scavengers trying to pick the fruits of those who worked hard. The other two men foolishly pulled something out, cocking it to the side shouting out some obscenities. They had sealed their fate, dashing to in between the two of them he avoided what sounded like thunder coming from the metal objects before striking the both of them in the throat. The strike knocked them both out, but didn't kill them. They were not worthy of being killed by a knight's hand in a duel. Even the man before would be able to survive. With the dead done and the three men dealt with he continued on to the aquarium.
Upon arriving there he was shocked and astonished to see such a large gathering of people around the entrance. He didn't understand why they just stood there and didn't just walk inside. He himself wasn't going to just stand there and wait. With his chest puffed out proud he walked straight past them and tried to enter into the building, only to be stopped by a rather large woman wearing a blue uniform. “Excuse me honey, where is your ticket.” He was shocked to see this woman stop his progress and spoke to her. "Fair lady..."He stopped for a moment to make sure that the rather large woman was actually a woman, given her rather mannish appearance. "I ask for thee forgiveness, but I a knight of lord Kazura need entry to thy building. I hath no idea what a ticket means, however the tasked giveth to me. Requires me to enter. "
The large woman gave him a look before speaking again. "MMhmm yea ok, look sweety you need a ticket so maybe your king Kazuwhats it can give you one or you can go get one over there by the renaissances fair." With that she screamed out next and had some rather large men walk towards Siegfried in order to remove him from in front of her to make sure the line would keep on moving.
