Emptiness everything nothing more than the simple embrace of darkness was life there was nothing else that clung to her as Midori floated through the void of existence. It was as if she was floating throughout space itself yet all of the stars that people throughout the planet gazed up upon in hopes that there was some supreme entity that overlooked them. From Midori's eyes there was nothing just the emptiness of life with nothing for her to cling onto no reason for her to be here no reason for her why she was thinking when there was no reason for it.
"Izanami awake it's time." Suddenly the silver eyes of the young adult Fullbringer revealed themselves to the trainer in the room. He was new someone that had just been appointed to over look Izanami Midorikawa's training after she was to be awaken and resume training. It had been over a decade since the youthful beauty actually graced life itself with her presence yet to her she had been living her life everyday training and handling assignments. She was a fraud yet to herself she was simply Izanami. A name nothing more and nothing else.
She had been sleeping in a metal coffin like apartment in the middle of a white room with nothing unique or special about it nothing that set it apart. There was nothing in the actually significant in the room. In all truth it couldn't really be called her bedroom there was nothing that held any kind of connection to Midori herself other than that which held her captive at night. The walls, ceiling and floors were all the same pure white with nothing else to them.
Midori's silver eyes glanced throughout the room holding no emotion to them at all just the simple emptiness of her life the gaze of a perfect soldier. The trainer normally confident in his own abilities was starting to understand why so many of his colleges had difficulty handling Midori. He hadn't even begun yet and he could already tell that she wasn't a girl she wasn't even a person just a raised machine that would follow the orders given to her precisely as given.
Midori stepped from the bed chamber and stood in front of the trainer her arms hanging downwards as she simply starred at the man awaiting information. He backed up a bit taken aback by her aura. Gathering himself he turned around and started to walk out from the room and make his way towards the training room. He knew it was large and what he actually had planned for Midori. For some reason though he never thought that he would get this feeling just from looking at another individual.
Midori followed behind the instructor she didn't need information on what he was going to make her do for her training today. All she knew was that she trained everyday no matter what for hours upon hours and then would eat and go back to sleep in order to repeat again. Some days she did the same type of training as the day prior, but some times she did something completely different and on other days she was sent out to handle Hollows or targets that needed to be handled.
It took a few minutes to get from the bedroom all the way over to the training room. When they got there Midori walked through the double doors while the instructor didn't and the doors closed behind her. Midori stopped moving knowing that normally the instructor would be in the room with her. So for what reason had he stopped outside of the room and what type of training was she going to go through now? "Alright Izanami today your skills are going to need to save you."
Midori's expression didn't falter didn't change in the least as the instructor spoke on the speaker. He was obviously keeping himself safe from whatever might kill her by being outside of the large white room. There was equipment in the room well the equipment that Midori utilized normally and held higher skill at utilizing in her training. She walked over to the wall and gripped the hilt of the replica claymore based off the appearance of her Fullbring. She was ready for whatever this instructor expected to give her trouble.
Meanwhile on the outside of the training room the instruct stood the computer that slide from the wall next to the double doors was allowing him to both control the systems within the training room, but also watch the inside. After his fingers went to work at the same time that Midori herself was making her way across the room towards the replica claymore a section of the floor about five feet squared opened up. There were several hidden slot in the floors of this room Midori already knew that from experience, but she hadn't thought she would be facing off against anything serious.
Suddenly long ropes feel from the ceiling the same that one would expect to be in a school gym for climbing training. They were all throughout the room though and Midori for a moment couldn't understand what type of test this was going to be what type of creature she would be pit up against to test her skills. That was only for a brief moment though for she nearly immediately realized what type of animals lived in this kind a of area and just as she did the howls of the chimpanzees echoed off the walls of the training room.
Jumping from the small compartment that held them five chimpanzees looked throughout the room and saw Midori standing there all of them screeched at her and then jumped from the white floor onto the ropes and began to swing themselves throughout the room as if they were on vines in the jungle. So this was the test she had to deal with fighting a few more than a couple monkeys while they had the advantage. Midori felt the weight of the claymore in her right hand and simply stood awaiting the actions of the chimpanzees.
Everything that she saw so far was a testament to the fact that such animals when together were often loud and simply erratic in their movements. While she was able to see them all moving it only took her a few moments to realize that the chimps were smarter than most would assume. They were getting into position and surrounding her from the sides in hopes of being able to take her down one way or another while screeching believing that it would distract her.
Midori wasn't so easy to distract however and kept still his silver gaze switching between each chimp while she listened and tried her best to assume the location of the ones that she couldn't actually see. Her senses weren't all that great compared to what she knew others could obtain the best she had was that of the average full grown adult with twenty-twenty vision. All of her other senses were just the same all of them average so for the time being she had to guess the locations of them all so long as she couldn't see them directly.
It took about ten seconds for all of them to get into their positions and then while four of them kept screeching in order to keep up their strategy of distraction which they obviously couldn't tell wasn't working one of them from behind Midori swung towards her from behind. Midori felt the heavy impact of the chimpanzee against her back and she was knocked forwards only keeping herself upright as she thrust the claymore forwards at the floor. It kept her from falling and now Midori knew how strong they all more than likely were.
She didn't get the chance to do anything though since the chimpanzee that had just slammed into her was already on the move again and as she started to lift herself another collided with her on the left side slamming into her arm and knocking her to the ground. They were strong nearly as physically capable as Midori herself yet even as she was hit no sound escaped from the pink lips of the Fullbringer. The instructor was watching through the monitor with a puzzled look on his face.
"What's going on? From everything I've been told this should only be a warm up for her. I could have sworn even from just looking into those eyes that she would be able to handle these insignificant creatures. Maybe her skills have faltered after so long a period of. . . wait." The instructor had been rambling to himself only to realize that Midori was standing again yet her claymore was nowhere to be seen. He looked through the cameras and then after a moment saw the reason.
There were only four chimpanzees left now that one that had slammed into Midori had somehow been countered right upon impact. The instructors pupils dilated and a sweat broke out over him running down his face as he realized what had actually occurred. Midori had seen the strategy of the chimpanzees after the very first attack against her before the full force of the assault had even been completed. Her claymore had been in position fast enough that the chimpanzee ran its own body onto the blade killing itself.
All of the chimpanzees were screeching much more viciously now they weren't anger about being kept locked up anymore now they were angrily about one of them being killed. Midori got to her feet and leaped over towards her claymore which was in the position that mimicked as if Midori herself had stabbed it into the floor. The chimpanzee that had been killed by it laid on his back in the final moment only to set up Midori against it's family without knowing it.
As she leaped for her claymore the chimpanzees howled and then all of them started to swing on the ropes towards her. The instructor watched with interest as to whether Midori was actually going to be fast enough to fight off all of them and even if she survived he was questioning how effective this was going to be and how much damage she might take. Midori after only just waking up after so long a period of constantly being unconscious whether she knew it or not had left her body weaker than when she was younger.
She was far slower and not nearly as physically strong yet she managed to close her feminine hand around the hilt of her claymore when suddenly she was hit from two sides by the bodies of the chimpanzees. She was slammed into on her shoulders from both sides and sent back down to the floor. As she hit the floor one of the chimpanzees let go of the rope it swung on and landed on top of her back. She felt the impact and with it came a slight bit of pain. The chimp raised its arms and was about to start pounding down on Midori when the young girl turned over and lifted her upper body up head-butting the animal directly and knocking it off of her.
Midori then got to her feet and grabbed her claymore ripping the blade from the cooling body of the first chimpanzee. She heard the sound of one of the chimps coming towards her and knew that it was going to try and hit her from behind and more then likely on her right side. Midori suddenly turned around lifting her hand up and in that moment the blade of her claymore cut the rope that the chimpanzee was swinging on. In the moment that it started to fall back down to the floor Midori's knee came up and collided with its face knocking the chimpanzee backwards.
Blood flied from the face of the chimpanzee as its teeth were knocked out by Midori's knee and it whinnied from the pain it felt over its face. In the next moment though it's whimpers were silenced by the massive blade of Midori's claymore decapitating the chimpanzee and then raising the claymore up above her head only to then swing it downwards on the body of the chimp that she had previously head-butted. The torso of the small animal was cleaved right in two ending its life and Midori turned her soulless eyes gazing at the frightened remaining Chimpanzee.
The last one suddenly grabbed ahold of a rope and started to swing itself away from Midori only to make it a few feet and then fall to the floor with the claymore embedded through its torso. The instructor watched the monitor in shock as to how effectively Midori had been able to kill the chimpanzees after the first few seconds of the conflict had led him to believe she was outmatched. Midori walked the few feet and pulled her claymore from the body of the chimp and then turned towards the door of the training room.
Midori then started to walk towards the entrance of the training room knowing that there was nothing else for her to do at this moment and she was to report back to the instructor about what he wanted to do next. It took few a few moments to reach the large double doors after navigating around the deceased chimpanzees and the ropes from the ceiling, but as she reached the doors they opened and she walked out of them. Standing there was the instructor fighting off every indication that he was actually afraid of Midori.
Midori simply stood there not saying anything at all her emotionless expression and gaze aimed at the instructor making it much more difficult for him to keep calm. It took a few moments, but he found his center and turned back to the terminal. He typed in for a few moments commands on the terminal and the doors to the training room closed shut. He turned back towards Midori "Excellent display on the first test now once the room is cleaned you'll be facing off against something much more difficult."
