In the darkness of the world of eternal night, Hueco Mundo, there stood a massive dome that the denizens without hearts referred to as Las Noches. In the immaculate dome that served as palace to the finest in the world of Hueco Mundo, there was a throne upon which sat a King, who presided over all who were Hollows and Arrancar. In this black, marble throne within a room illuminated only by moonlight penetrating from an outside balcony, there sat Sonken Kouhai. The most wanted man in three worlds. The traitorous Soul Reaper that had killed several Captains of the Seireitei before escaping to rule over his new army of Hollows. A man so powerful and cunning that not even Soul Society could bring him down.

And in his throne room, an informant greeted him, on one knee, head bowed, at the foot of the throne, shrouded in complete darkness. "Lord Kouhai," the informant greeted of her King. "There has been word that the Thirteen Court Guard Squads are currently dealing with a prison breakout from the Senzaikyu Prison System." Yes, a huge break-out. They had always said that the Senzaikyu Prison System was the most absolute and impenetrable of all prisons ever to exist in the three worlds. Its prisoners were all monstrosities, and for there to be any orchestrated break out by any one of them was unheard of in its thousands of years existing. If one had broken out, Soul Society was now in chaos.

"Do you know the name of the prisoner?" Kouhai asked with a cruel smile, amused by this turn of events. Perhaps this prisoner could be approached later. Made an ally against the Soul Society. Yet another mighty weapon for Las Noches. "There is word that her name is Saeki Kuchiki," the informant replied without emotion in her voice. And suddenly, Kouhai's smile dissipated, and his expression changed. Indeed, a name he knew. No, rather, a name that he had suspected could still exist. Kouhai stood, then, drawing the attention and surprise of his informant, who had never seen him rise upon merely being given new information of any sort. "Alert the available Espada," Kouhai ordered. "We will be invading Soul Society with full force."

The informant's eyes widened. "Now...?" she asked, puzzled. Sonken Kouhai turned his full gaze upon her, authoritative, and cold. "Yes, now," he said. "If they are currently battling her, then this is the greatest opportunity to attack them that we have ever had. It is the sort of golden miracle from God himself that descends only once in a million years. Ready the Espada." The informant bowed, and stood, readying herself to go. At the standing position located to the right of the throne, there was a grin from Kouhai's right hand man, Guujin Karai. "I'm excited to return home..." he said. Kouhai's eyes sparked, as if he had just remembered something.

"Ah, yes... I had quite forgotten!" Kouhai exclaimed, drawing his informant's attention just before she left. "In addition to the Espada, also alert him." The informant was taken aback. "Really, Lord Kouhai? Even him?" And with that, Kouhai's smile was broader than ever it had been. It stretched his face to ungodly proportions. It was a creepy smile. The sort of thing one only sees in an evil, twisted maniac. "Yes..." Kouhai said. "As I said, we will be coming with our full attack power! There isn't a moment to lose. Ready our forces." With that, Sonken Kouhai turned away and started walking out of the throne room, followed closely by Guujin Karai. The informant disappeared with a Sonido moments later.

WE FIND OURSELVES NOW IN SOUL SOCIETY, WHERE THE SISTER OF SOZEN, SAEKI KUCHIKI, LONG THOUGHT TO BE DEAD, HAS ESCAPED FROM THE PRISON WHERE SHE WAS BEING HELD FOR MANY CENTURIES. WITH HER NOW ARE HORRIBLE VILLAINS. PETROV, SATO HOSHI, STEVE LEE, DOUMA. HIROSHI SHIHOIN, JINBEI KAWADA, ANARCHY, AND AN UNNAMED QUINCY OF TREMENDOUS POWER. WITH THIS MANY CAPTAIN LEVEL OPPONENTS ON HER SIDE, SAEKI HAS AMASSED A FORCE GREAT ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE THE SOUL SOCIETY! SHE IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THREATS TO HAVE AS OF YET APPEARED. FACING HER, SOZEN KUCHIKI, THE CAPTAIN COMMANDER, OKAMI SHIHOIN, ASMOKON MASURAO, SOUZA KUCHIKI, AND NUMEROUS OTHER LIEUTENANTS AND CAPTAINS. WE FIND OURSELVES EMBROILED IN AN ALL OUT WAR.

"I must commend you, Captain Commander," Saeki said to the old man. "I had thought that Jinbei was the strongest in Soul Society. But, after seeing your clash with him, I realized that that title actually belongs to you. Kudos, for my one and only miscalculation of this entire ordeal." The Captain Commander was approaching Saeki as if stalking her, hunting her like a weak prey. A rabbit to be devoured by a carnivorous, starved wolf. "Your miscalculation was in assuming your plan to escape would work..." he retorted. "And your life now has mere minutes left in it, traitorous little pup." Kyousou Ningen clenched his fists, and rushed toward Saeki.

She was smiling at him, unmoving, as he approached. Suddenly, Sato Hoshi appeared next to Saeki and grabbed a hold of her. In that next instant, they literally disappeared, and the Captain Commander came up short, his double punch missing and blasting waves of air into the remains of Saeki's nearby prison structure, further demolishing the now powerless cube and compounding it into rubble. Saeki and Sato Hoshi reappeared, materializing from out of the shiny metal of Sozen Kuchiki's sword. Sozen's eyes went wide, noting Saeki and Sato's sudden proximity to him. Immediately, Sozen whirled on them, slashing at Saeki in an attempt to incapacitate her.

However, Jinbei Kawada suddenly appeared in Sozen's way, grabbing a hold of Sozen's wrist to stop the slash. Sozen's eyes went wide. "This is a matter of family," Sozen said to Jinbei, eyes narrowing in rage. "Step aside." And Jinbei Kawada simply grinned mockingly at Sozen, whom he now had on the ropes because of the situation. Especially the revelation of Sozen's greatest weakness--his inability to kill any family members for love of all that bore the name Kuchiki. And it was true. For so ruthless a man as Sozen, this was an incredible weakness to possess. It was a point which enemies might later use against him. "Make me move if you want me to," Jinbei told Sozen. "Though I doubt a little boy like you has the strength for overcoming ME."

A black line in the sky in Seireitei suddenly appeared, and then opened up. It quickly expanded, erupting into a huge black tear that resembled a gaping black maw. Jaws with jagged teeth. And from within that huge opening in the sky, the creatures in white stepped out. Though they had human bodies, most of them had some form of mask still lingering on their faces, attached for all eternity, and had holes in their chests where their hearts should be. For these were the final step of the Hollow's evolution. The Arrancar. And with them... their King. Sonken Kouhai. For indeed, Las Noches had decided that with Saeki Kuchiki in play, now was the best of all times to invade.

The Captain Commander turned around, staring up at these new enemies. He turned back to Saeki. "So you were even in league with Kouhai..." he accused. Saeki shrugged. "No, I've met the man but we were never allies. I simply became aware of his position when I read the minds of visitors to my prison. I knew very well that if I were to escape, he would invade. And when I first went into prison, I knew that my escape would bring any similar enemy to do the same, whether it be Hollows or not. Naturally, I plan to escape amid all of this chaos." The Captain Commander flexed his muscles and drew forth his Zanpakuto. "Not on my watch..." he threatened.

The Captain Commander's blade became enveloped in fire as he released it. "Reduce all of creation to smoldering ashes, Ryuujin Jakka!" he exclaimed, and his blade dissolved away into a huge, all engulfing fire. The hottest fire in the world. The Captain Commander marched toward Saeki, intent on destroying her. That was, until he slashed, and instead, was met with the guarding blade of Kouhai, who appeared there and blocked the Captain Commander. "Kouhai..." the Captain Commander growled. Ignoring the old man, Kouhai glanced back at Saeki. "It has been a very long time, dear Saeki. I had thought you were dead. I trust that you've been well," Kouhai said.

Saeki smirked at him. "Oh, you know I have," she replied. "But while we're temporary allies here, the same won't be true after I've escaped. Just remember that. Even if it's Sozen's prodigious little student, I know you better than anyone." There was a hint of a threat in there, as if Saeki literally did know something that Kouhai didn't want her to. Just by being in proximity to him, Saeki suddenly knew so much more. Because that was her greatest strength. It was energy sensory. It was the six degrees of separation technique that she was famous for. Information. Knowledge. She was all seeing and all knowing. Truly, the most omnipotent of all Soul Reapers. The closest to absolute out of anyone.

"You've grown quite beautiful," Kouhai said. "And fierce as well." Saeki grinned even more widely. "I was always fierce, dear Kouhai." The Captain Commander roared, drawing back his blade, and focused his attentions now on the King of Las Noches. "I'm lucky..." he said. "I will now have the chance to fell two birds with one single, decisive strike..." The old man slashed, and a huge column of unimaginably powerful fire rushed toward Kouhai and Saeki. It was natural that no defenses would work. The fire would reduce to ashes anything that got in its way. That was its ability. To simply burn anything. The first Zanpakuto...and the strongest of them all. Kouhai was quick to flash step out of the way, and Saeki simply glanced at Sato, who teleported them out by disappearing into the reflective surface of Kouhai's Zanpakuto.

They would emerge out as Kouhai landed, and scatter away from him as the Captain Commander turned back to the King of Las Noches, with challenge in his gaze, and approached once more. But, there were others besides Kouhai and the old man. Descending from the Garganta in the sky, Guujin Karai, the King's right hand, also came forth. He was ready to fight anyone there. But, in addition to him, there was Myza Synderfell, the Sexta, followed by Ryunosuke, the Segunda, and a few others. But, in the audience to greet them would emerge Harle, Squad 2's Captain, and Alexander, Squad 3's Captain. Monsters in their own right, they were here to fight.

Then, suddenly, as Saeki and Sato moved to the side from Kouhai, who was going to face the old man, they were greeted by the son of the Kuchiki Head, Souza. "The son comes to right the wrongs of the father!" Saeki exclaimed with glee. Souza glared at her coldly. "Your head is held much too high, Saeki. Only those who serve me should look me in the eye as you do now. Shortly, I will have you dragged to your knees..." As the battle grew more and more heated, more and more big names were arriving. But it also meant that if anyone wanted a specific target, anyone present was fair game.

SOZEN VS JINBEI! KYOUSOU VS KOUHAI!! SOUZA VS SAEKI!!!! THE BATTLE INTENSIFIES!!!!!! ESCALATES!!!!!!!! LET THE WAR COMMENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disclaimer: As per the usual, I have the thread usage rights to all RPCs that will be appearing as NPCs in this thread. Also note that if you were in the previous thread, and did not get a chance to guard against an attack coming your way, that carries over to this thread. For instance, Asmokon under attack by Steve Lee. He still has to defend that.

Everything was starting to truly get out of hand now. It was a small full scale war in the rumble of the prison. There was no way that there would be no causalities from this encounter. Asmoskon didn't care who made sure of one thing, one goal for this skirmish. It didn't matter who managed it whether it be one of the Captains or Sozen or even himself, but he wouldn't allow Seaki's forces to get away without losing at least one of their valuable pieces in this large game that she seemed so content at playing now.

As he remained high up in the sky roughly around five hundred feet from the battlefield below he watched from above as his arrows soared downwards towards all of the targets. Each and every arrow was locked onto a specific target and there was no way for evasion like they all thought to be possible not in the manner that they had all attempted. All of them had simply tried to dodge like basic soldiers. "Really that's all . . I thought they were suppose to be intelligent." As all of them dodged, the arrows altered course as well moving with them at the same speed of 2000. There was in fact no way to evade the arrows try as they might such a thing would be impossible while they needed the use of their reiatsu.

That wasn't the only thing that Seaki's forces had taken for granted. One individual that Asmoskon had faced in combat before and now held a distain for along with the goal of murder. Anarchy was one of the most feared individuals throughout all of the realms of living existence and yet he had overlooked one thing. Although he was the only one of Saeki's forces to ever face off against Asmoskon the believed to be Bount had only ever faced off against Asmoskon's first bow release and never learned the true power he held. As Anarchy rushed between Petrov and Sozen, Asmoskon could see that same golden reiatsu that had been such a problem for him during their first encounter.

"Something like that will only ever work once Anarchy . . you should know that scum." The golden reiatsu that had formed into a barrier through the use of the technique Ken suddenly rushed into the pitch black arrows causing the coloration to mix between the beautiful gold and the tainted black. Anarchy and all who watched would witness this yet only the intelligent would be able to piece together what had actually just occurred. It wasn't a simply trick or technique that Asmoskon utilized it was his release ability to absorb reiatsu and use it against the originator. That wasn't the end of the surprises though as the three arrows that had been aimed for Petrov curved realigning themselves and as contact was made with him they would expand into large reiatsu pockets which would push back Petrov and Anarchy.

Asmoskon's arrows had absorbed Ken and gained its properties now because of that all the three arrows had become like Ken themselves and pushed both Bounts backwards with the rush burst of reiatsu like a moving car slamming into them. All of Seaki's forces believed that simply evading and dodging would be enough. They were all wrong. The only one that would manage to trick the ability was Sato Hoshi by invading the zanpakuto of Jinbei. The arrows aimed for Seaki curved in the air altering the course to remain on target and Seaki would know from being inside Asmoskon's mind that there were only a few things she could do to prevent the arrows from skrewing her.

Asmoskon suddenly picked up a big spike of reiatsu and in the next moment his field of vision was covered nearly completely with the form of Steve Lee. His left pupil dilated for the brief moment in surprise as Steve Lee thrust forward the dagger in his hand planning to kill Asmoskon in one strike to his throat. Just as the dagger moved through the small space of air towards Asmoskon though the eye of surprise shifted to one of stern stone. In the next moment the dagger would be halted only a few centimeters from Asmoskon's throat. Steve Lee would feel something big wrapped around his arm preventing him from moving it forward to finish his attack, but there was nothing to be seen.

In the next moment a small grin spread across Asmoskon face as his focus intensified and the large reiatsu hand that gripped Steve Lee's arm squeezed with 800 strength crushing the muscle and bone while Asmoskon himself thrust his right hand forwards at Steve Lee's chest. It was an attack of some kind yet nothing appeared to be there nonetheless Steve Lee would feel the massive push of strength against his body. A force of 800 strength pushed him from just nearly on top of Asmoskon downwards back towards the rumble. However, what Steve Lee overlooked was he was still a target and the arrows had been moving the entire time. Now as he descended to the ground he would feel the two arrows pierce into the sides of his shoulders rendering both useless and him no longer a valuable pawn in this war.

Asmoskon took the moment now and noticed that the battle field was swarming with conflict yet there was a single entity that dove fear into him beyond anyone else. It was the Captain Commander. That man his zanpakuto his reiatsu. Asmoskon could feel it and sense all of it and there had never been such fear that flowed through him at that moment. After a brief moment of freight he pushed it aside reminding himself that the man was his ally for now and they were on the same side. The man he was fighting however appeared to be a Shinigami as well and upon seeing his face Asmoskon realized just who he was and that things had gotten far worse than he could have imagined.

He looked around and saw there were a few Arrancar still in the sky while one Shinigami oversaw the battle. Asmoskon wasn't a fool and knew the identify of the traitors. While it wasn't the wisest thing he could do and he knew that for sure it was one that might save a few more of his allies. Asmoskon took aim with the crossbow in his right hand extending it outwards and utilizing Klavier to fire off thirty arrows right at Guujin Karai. He would have to keep the Shinigami's attention while the others took out the less powerful adversaries Asmsokon just wasn't entirely sure if he could handle the Shinigami from what he knew of him, but he was going to give it everything he had.

OOC: Lots of characters to keep track of! That's why everyone is going to get some of that action in their response. Even in this post, I'm missing quite a few pieces from the board. Also since we're in thread intro, not keeping track of NPC reiatsu until everyone has posted an intro. After that, all NPC reiatsu will be posted each time some is used. Some will start less than full because, you know. Circumstances of this thread and all. Also in future of this thread, techniques will be posted as they are used.

Music to lighten our souls

Whatever was to be said of Asmokon's arrows, it could be said that they were tenacious. Of course, this didn't mean that they were successful against Saeki's minions. From Jinbei, a simple block had sufficed. As soon as the arrows came into contact with his ready blade, they simply shattered and dissipated, as if they had never even existed. None of their properties were capable of getting through Jinbei's Zanpakuto. But, how was this possible? It was likely to be Jinbei Kawada's special ability, but given that probably the only people present with intel on that were Sozen, Saeki, and the Captain Commander, Asmokon would remain confused. Then again, Jinbei wasn't even his problem. Jinbei Kawada was Sozen's problem.

And indeed, he was a problem. Squeezing Sozen's wrist, Jinbei seemed intent on breaking it. That was, of course, until he noted Sozen's Zanpakuto, red in blade, which produced more blades to eject outward toward Jinbei's face due to their proximity. It was a simple matter for Jinbei to simply release Sozen and jump back, evading. He was fast, strong, and even more tenacious than Asmokon's arrows. Jinbei Kawada had, after all, been the spearhead of the Kawada's rise to such greatness. It was expected for him to be incredibly powerful. "You know my ability, don't you, Sozen?" Jinbei asked. "Do you really think that something as gimmicky as summoning random blades can overcome me?"

Sozen noted how Jinbei's Zanpakuto hadn't turned red during an earlier clash. Both men, however, were using their Shikai. No doubt about it. It was well known that Jinbei's Zanpakuto underwent no physical changes when he released Shikai. Those who could not sense reiatsu well would not notice when Jinbei entered Shikai. "I do," Sozen said coldly. "You're a washed up old man. If you had the power to sustain the Kawadas, you would have, and your family would not be stagnating. Since it is at its weakest in history right now, we can assume that you haven't done a very good job." Jinbei gritted his teeth, but then changed his look to a smile. "Oh how little you know..." he replied to the Kuchiki Head.

That old Quincy was highly successful, too. The arrows that came for him simply dissolved into steam as they neared him. How? Some sort of ability. Likely, it was similar to Vollstandig, or something like that. Vollstandig, after all, was simply the perfected version of Sanrei Glove. It wouldn't be a surprise for a Quincy of that caliber to simply possess an ability that was similar to those, and had some kind of negation or absorption-like effect. The old Quincy remained stationary after that, but for dodging and finding ways to block against other upcoming attacks. He was not terribly present or prominent in the war just yet, and rather was observing everything.

Next, there was Petrov. Mighty Petrov. For while Anarchy attempted to block the arrows, Petrov attempted to subdue them. Though indeed, he had used up a great deal of his reiatsu previously, he still had yet more to expend, and in an instant, his massive red dragon appeared, encircling both himself and Anarchy. This happened instinctively, as Petrov noted Anarchy's Ken being assaulted by those penetrating arrows. The huge stone monstrosity appeared with shockwaves which simply obliterated the incoming arrows. And now, once again, that massive abomination was present on the battlefield. Petrov was a ridiculously powerful Bount.

What was left? Saeki herself. Sato Hoshi, who had tricked the arrows, had then continued on to his other actions, such as assisting Saeki in her escape from another attack. But for the arrows, Saeki really had just dodged. Even when trajectories changed, still she was able to adjust her body to dodge. Even when they converged on her, Saeki's movements were light, and graceful, and they could not touch her. Thus, for a brief moment, she would be dancing with the arrows. Until, of course, Sato arrived to bring her away into another blade, so that they could escape a different attack. This brought her to the present moment, which was Saeki and Souza.

"I've read about your Zanpakuto," Souza said. And his weapon suddenly transitioned into a long, one handed saber. "You must realize that as long as I am released, you are at a disadvantage in this fight." Saeki smiled coldly at her nephew, and she spoke to him. "Ohh, dear... Don't be overconfident just yet." Sato suddenly appeared from out of Souza's blade. The Kuchiki Heir's eyes went wide, and Sato came down on Souza, trying to slash his head clean off. Immediately, Souza disappeared, becoming momentarily unreadable for anyone watching. He turned into an anomaly. One that only Saeki could track. As he reappeared, Saeki appeared where he was going to, half a step ahead of him.

Souza's eyes again went wide as Saeki, with her Zanpakuto, utilized Shunpo Karin to attack him. Souza was quick, however, and disappeared with his foot touching down on the ground. Yet again, another step to escape. Those who knew Souza would know that it was his step technique, Jabber Walk, which made him an unreadable anomaly. It also allowed him to vary the speed of his step. Appearing behind Saeki, Souza turned on her, and stabbed toward the back of her head. As he did, Sato appeared in front of him from out of the tip of his blade, hoping to use a sword to block the Kuchiki Heir. Souza, however, got within Sato's guard, and then spun around him, aiming once again at Saeki. As Souza passed Sato, the Mod Soul fell onto his butt, losing balance suddenly at the hands of Souza's Tengenko technique. "I told you.. I am absolute," Souza told Sato. Coming at Saeki, Souza attacked.

And finally, over at Asmokon, there was Steve Lee. Rather than being grabbed, he suddenly appeared at Asmokon's side, out of the grasp of the arm. And, just then, the arrows that had been tracking him would also appear, but he would suddenly be behind them. In an instant, Asmokon, who had thought himself secure in victory over Steve Lee, would find he did not have sufficient time to dodge or even counter or redirect his own arrows. He had chosen to focus his attentions on another target, and would thus be penetrated in the left arm at the elbow and the shoulder by his own arrows, all while firing off at Steve Lee, who had evaded everything so far with what looked a lot like teleportation. "Too slow..." Steve Lee whispered.

At long last, there was Guujin, whose eyes went wide in mock terror as he saw the arrows approaching him. "Oh no!" he exclaimed. But then he smiled, and a massive beast exploded forth from the underground, appearing in a frenzy. Literally, a massive beast. Nearly eight feet tall, and with so much muscle mass that it looked like a grotesque thing rather than a muscular body, bubbles instead of muscles, really. Dark orange skin with glowing white eyes and gray hair. The monster that emerged from underneath was holding two huge swords, one in each hand, and had suddenly been surrounded in some silver dome which shredded all incoming arrows, destroying them completely.

Yes, there was a monster on the loose in Soul Society now. A powerful one, at that. Records of Soul Society would indicate that it was the same one that had brutalized former Captain Iro Kuchiki and left him mutilated, barely even recognizable as human. Because this monster was a demon from Hell itself. A creature called an Akki. One holding a rank in Las Noches called Envainar underneath Sonken Kouhai. The King's secret weapon. The most powerful combat orient of all of his forces. The Leader of the Envainar group. The Akki whose purpose was literally to inflict agony and extinguish hope. Grimoire Acero. A creature... unlike any other.

The Captain Commander and Kouhai disengaged just then, and the old man glanced at the huge monster that had just joined the battle. "I take it that that is your soldier," the old man said to Kouhai, who smiled back at the man who was the strongest of all Soul Reapers. "That abomination... For you to have sunk so low as to contract with Hell... Is your treachery limitless, young one...?" The Captain Commander asked. "Indeed, my betrayal is infinite!" Kouhai exclaimed with a beaming face, and he attacked the old man again with another sword slice. The old man blocked, and then turned his flaming blade in Kouhai's direction again. The two of them were only just warming up. That was the scary part.

His currently active doll, the stone giant, possesses only one technique. The doll itself is a huge monstrosity of stone that can only even be damaged by equal or superior offensive stat. Its body automatically repels all effects and abilities that don't have sufficient offensive ability. It also pumps all of its offensive stat into a punch armed with explosive power, as well as magma and lava. Steve Lee has a pretty crazy ability. When he uses it, he doesn't exist. There are various stages to his ability which allow him to remove his existence. The most used of these removes his existence except for an incorporeal image. This means that while an image of him is acting, nothing it does is real. It can neither harm nor be harmed. It can also simply control perception of itself, meaning it can seem to appear and disappear, appear larger or smaller, and other details.

Jinbei's primary Shikai ability is that as long as he believes he can succeed in an attack or defense, he will. Thus, if Jinbei blocks something with his sword, even if that something has superior offensive stat value, as long as Jinbei believes that he can block it, he will succeed in blocking it. If he attacks, and he believes that his attack can overpower his opponent's, then it will. This also applies not only to his Zanpakuto itself, but to any Kido cast out of the blade. Thus, Jinbei seems invincible in terms of attack and defense. The weakness, of course, is very obvious. Make Jinbei lose faith in himself or his ability to fight you, and his entire Zanpakuto automatically becomes useless.

Her Zanpakuto won't yet be divulged. But if you want to know what ability she's using now, it's a class 0 technique called Six Degrees of Separation. What does it do? Well consider this. Ordinarily, with 1400 energy sensory, Saeki can read more or less everything about someone. Six Degrees of Separation takes that even further. She can, by reading one person, also read the people whom that person considers the most important figures in their life. Thus, if Saeki reads Asmokon, she can also read Hotaru. BUT it gets worse. Because in reading Hotaru via Asmokon, she can also read Hotaru's most important figures. So if she reads Asmokon, she can read Hotaru, and thus also read Sozen. She can do this up to SIX people down. So it would go Asmokon --> Hotaru --> Sozen --> Souza --> Kagami --> Takehiko, hypothetically. But it's not just ONE person for each person. It's EVERYONE they consider most important. Whether it be a top ten or a top five or a top twenty. Thus, by reading a single person, Saeki is capable of reading DOZENS if not HUNDREDS of people at once. This is the ability that made her so fearsome. She developed it very early on, as a young girl at the tender physical age of ten years old. From the time she was physically thirteen years old, Saeki was someone extremely politically active because of her power. People feared, revered, and worshiped her omnipotence. She was one of the most famous people ever to live.

Saeki is also using a soul reading enhancement technique, class 0, which defeats attempts at blocking mental reading.

Thirdly, she has a mind invasion technique. As long as she can sense you, she can speak into your mind. Thus, if she is sensing Asmokon, and sensing Hotaru via Asmokon, Saeki can speak directly into Hotaru's mind as well as Asmokon's. This secondary ability, also a class 0, is called Mind Games. This is Saeki's most powerful offensive technique. Why? Because if she speaks to those who do not know or expect her, who may be miles or even worlds away, she can influence them greatly. Saeki can influence hundreds of people without even being anywhere near them. And she can probably drive them to insanity as well.

Thus, Saeki Kuchiki, though she is a very weak combatant, is a very strong political figure.

As the Dungeon Master, I have a tip. Do NOT attack Saeki. She can sense any attackers coming. And, her Zanpakuto ability is extremely dangerous for anyone attacking her. Any attack that one attempts to land is 95% guaranteed to backfire horribly if it is on Saeki. Only faction boss level characters are capable of engaging Saeki. You will see why later in this thread.

[Zeich Yajuu]

Home again? It's like I was never exiled from it in the first place...

Zeich stared out over Soul Society from atop a building, feeling a mixture of nostalgia and sadness as he looked in the general direction of his old home. It had been three months since he had been forced to flee Soul Society, his nature as a Vizard revealed rather suddenly when his Inner Hollow had taken over his body in a fight against Adalo De-Mona, the Primera Espada. During that period of control, Tsukikage had used Zeich's Bankai not only to combat the Espada, but to completely crush an entire district of the Rukongai, with a death count in the multiple hundreds. Though Zeich had managed to leave Soul Society with some aid, escape to the World of the Living, and eventually learn to control his Inner Hollow, he had long since dreamed of finding a way to return peacefully to the one place he called home.

But unfortunately, homecoming was not a peaceful event, in this case. Zeich braced himself atop the building he stood on even as an explosion rocked the ground, his golden eyes instinctively scanning over the area. It was a futile effort, of course; no matter how much he concentrated, his vision still remained dark. Blinded in the fight against Tsukikage, for reasons that Zeich still could not fathom, the Vizard had been forced to learn the use of his other senses. His ability to pick up sounds and tangible sensations such as strong movements had improved, and though he still missed his ability to see, he had learned to adapt without it. Besides, he could still see when he summoned his Vizard Mask, the lupine facade tearing away the veil over his eyes when called forth, and in a way could “see” even without it as long as he relied on constant input from Haiiro, who stood by his side even now.

The wolf was Zeich's former Zanpaktou spirit, and though he wasn't the power source behind Zeich's current Release, he was still a major portion of the Vizard's soul. The former Shinigami had spent a long time learning the Spiritual Projection technique in order to summon his ally by his side, and it had paid off; not only was Haiiro's constant companionship welcome, but the wolf's ability to see along with his ability to communicate with his master enabled Zeich to overcome his visual handicap to some extent. It wasn't always a perfect system, but between the two of them, it was almost like the Vizard had never lost his sight in the first place. Zeich had become rather reliant on Haiiro's presence, and was thankful that he was able to keep the wolf close at all times.

Perhaps a bit too close at times, however; lately, Zeich's Spiritual Projections had been lasting longer and longer, and this most recent one had been ongoing for about three days now. Yet despite that Zeich felt no more weary, and he didn't feel any drain on his Reiatsu either. It was almost like Haiiro had become a living, breathing wolf instead of being a projection of Zeich's spirit. Such a thing was ridiculous to consider, and the Vizard had never heard of any such thing, yet ridiculous did not mean impossible. For now, he was going on the assumption that he had just gained a new mastery over the technique with constant use, and was able to maintain it unconsciously thanks to that. He'd have to look into it later, however.

For now, there were more pressing matters. Zeich had not made his way into Soul Society for the pleasure of it, as in normal situations it would not be difficult for an attentive security team to notice his intrusion. No, rumors had been circulating on the black markets, rumors about major trouble in Soul Society. Of course such rumors were common, as Soul Society had many enemies; the Vandenreich Quincies and Las Noches's forces were only the two most-known. Some of the enemies it had created for itself, such as the Mod Souls that still existed despite the banning of such technology. Others were their enemy by nature, such as the free Quincies, whose ideologies diverged from Soul Society's despite the same goal of protecting the World of the Living. But these rumors were of a more internal nature, and as a former member of Squad Seven, Internal Affairs, Zeich immediately understood the potential for trouble.

So, armed with vague information and knowing the risk of doing so, Zeich had... well, the best way to put it was that he had commandeered a portal to Soul Society. He had been keeping an eye on Karakura's resident Shinigami, and when one had begun to make a trip back towards Soul Society, Zeich had simply jumped into the portal behind him before simply rushing past the bewildered man and making his way into Soul Society proper. Upon emerging into a large area stationed by a number of Squad Thirteen's members, Zeich had simply used his full speed to disappear past them and escape into the city even as they tried to adjust to the shock of an unknown individual bursting out of the gate suddenly. The element of surprise had allowed Zeich to avoid any pursuit, simply because they had not had time to react to the intruder, and so he went unfollowed into the city, trying to figure out what was going on.

It was still strange, being back home again. Even though it had been three months, Zeich moved with a fluidity that he could not yet match in Karakura Town. Even without his sight, he knew the area so well that he could practically see it anyway; more than a hundred years of traversing the streets had made it child's play to remember every twist and turn. Of course, he quickly learned that not everything went unchanged when he nearly ran into a wall, an extra floor added to a building that had not been there prior; Haiiro's warning had kept him from a direct collision at the cost of some minor blow to his pride. Still, there was something wonderful in all the strangeness, and for one of the few times in his life, he felt at ease. He was home.

But now, Zeich knew he had to figure out what was going on. He stopped atop the third floor of a larger building at the edge of Seireitei, near the walls at the edge of the major city. Though he could not see, he could extend his energy sensory out to some extent. It was far weaker than it had been, and as he had become more reliant on his senses of hearing and touch his ability to sense spiritual energy had waned, but he had enough to detect any major flares; any novice could do such a simple thing. If there was truly trouble of a significant nature going on, then Zeich would be able to sense it. Haiiro was a short distance away, jumping between rooftops and scanning the horizon and streets for any sign of trouble. If he spotted anything, he'd let Zeich know immediately.

The message came quickly. Well, I think I found them. A giant, gaping hole in the ground in the middle of Seireitei is pretty telling. It seems like there's some kind of battle going on, too, at least on multiple fronts; I can't get a good count of all those who are fighting, but... wait, is that the Captain-Commander?

Zeich blinked in surprise; the Captain-Commander was involved in this battle? Things weren't just serious; they were dire. The Vizard asked his companion to clarify who the man was fighting, but the battle moved out of Haiiro's sight before he could get a clear fix on that. Still, the leader of Soul Society rarely got involved in any conflict; if he was present, then something major was up. Unsure of what that meant, Zeich headed in the direction indicated, taking his steps a bit more slowly as he drew closer to the area of the conflict, his lack of sight betraying him and keeping his footing somewhat unsure. Haiiro's mental input helped him keep somewhat steady, but he had to be cautious as he approached, lest his clumsy steps reveal him to the enemy.

Once closer, he let his senses flow outwards, using his weak Energy Sensory to detect the number of presences there. While he couldn't get a solid reading, his weaker ability to sense spiritual power was actually a boon, as there were several high-level presences flaring up, enough to overload those whose spiritual senses were too strong. The Captain Commander was there, and there was an indistinguishable amount of high-level presences in the area. Things were certainly serious, as there were several major battles going on. Haiiro, observing the situation, noted at least two pairings; a Quincy was pairing off against a number of foes, with arrows raining down heavily upon the entire battlefield and making it risky to get in too close without some measure of caution. He was facing off against multiple opponents, who seemed to be handling his arrows in their own ways. In another group was a young man, a Shinigami, fighting a woman with a male companion. The Shinigami looked familiar somehow, Haiiro noted, though he couldn't place how.

Well, I don't want to get involved with with Captain-Commander's fight, as I'm as likely to be incinerated as anyone else being the fugitive I am, and the Quincy is likely an enemy, given his race, but he's already outnumbered by likely superior forces... It was a brief tactical assumption of the area, though there were plenty of gaps in Zeich's information. Unfortunately, short of getting into the fray himself, there was no way to really confirm anything else. That meant that Zeich would have to decide who was friend, who was enemy, and who needed help. Of the groups observed, likely the Shinigami fighting by himself would be the best bet; a two-on-one encounter could go unfavorably in many situations, so it would be best to quickly make it a two-on-two.

Haiiro, let's go. Our targets are the three below, the two-on-one. The Shinigami is attacking the woman, but I imagine her companion won't be down long. Let's be ready to deal with him if needed. A mental nod from Haiiro came, and the two of them quickly leapt down to aid the lone Shinigami. Stealth was not difficult in a battle like this, given that so many people were focused on their own fights, and it didn't take much for Zeich to simply drop down near the battle he chose to intercede on, slipping amongst the rubble. Even as he fell, he activated his Zanpaktou, causing Haiiro to vanish as Tsukikage's blade dissolved into its ashen form, wrapping itself around Zeich and completely masking his spiritual presence. As long as the ash was on his body, the Vizard was undetectable to any form of Energy Sensory, though it would be pointless once he actually engaged; he wasn't hiding any more at that point. For now, this would give him an opportunity to act when necessary, and observe both his possible ally and the Shinigami's opponent.

Hidden behind rubble, masked by his Zanpaktou, he was a non-entity... for now. But the moment it became necessary to act, he would do so with surprising finality thanks to the flexible nature of his Tsukikage's blade. And, if needed, he always had his mask on hand too. For now, though, Zeich held his position, watching and waiting. He would act when needed.

Sozen was panting. Anyone who saw him could tell that he felt nearly out of breath. Such was the might of his adversary. The supreme patriarch of the Kawada family, whose rise to power had been so brutal that it had galvanized a terrified Shihoin icon into an attempt at a Coup D'Etat. Such was the nature of his power. He was almost unstoppable. Holding what appeared to be an ordinary katana, but for the fully black color of the blade. The place had begun to fill with other Soul Reapers above the fray, who were too weak to assist, and thus only watched from up above as their Captains and Lieutenants did battle. And so, they saw the incredible power of Jinbei Kawada.

"Why can't Captain Kuchiki do anything...? Shouldn't Akai Birido change Lord Kawada's weapon red?" An onlooker asked. "That's Lord Kawada's Shikai, Zettai Eien," another responded. "So long as Lord Kawada has faith in his blade's ability to stop, guard, or assault something, then his blade will succeed. Such is the power of the most powerful Kawada Zanpakuto: Zettai Eien." Jinbei smirked at Sozen, stepping forward with ominous black eyes gazing down at the 29th Kuchiki Head. "Is that really the best that you can do, Sozen?" Jinbei mocked. "Then allow me to guide the battle." Jinbei disappeared using immense speed. He was incredibly fast. Nearly twice Sozen's speed. It was all that Sozen could do to use Shukuchi-Ho to get to Jinbei's back as Jinbei approached.

He's as fast as Kenryoku...! Sozen thought. Jinbei turned around as Sozen slashed at the former's back. The Kawada Lord blocked with his Zanpakuto, and then began pressing up against Sozen's. Sozen noted Jinbei's strength was superior, but only to the point where Sozen was losing a bit of ground. Jinbei didn't have overwhelming physical power in the way that Kenryoku had. However, suddenly, Jinbei's blade succeeded in cutting clean through Sozen's Zanpakuto blade, shocking Sozen as his defense was pierced. By good fortune, he managed to step to the side and avoid a slash to his chest, but Jinbei took the initiative to get into Sozen's guard, and punch the Kuchiki Head clear in the face, knocking him back several feet with a broken nose. Sozen stumbled back. Jinbei then took aim at Sozen with his Zanpakuto. A blue fire appeared on the tip. "Hado #33: Sokkatsui," Jinbei said. The blue flame, enormous in size, fired at Sozen.

Meanwhile, Saeki and Sato faced off against Souza, who had noted his own father's difficulties against Jinbei Kawada only moments prior. "Careful, little Souza. You should be focusing on our fight here, rather than your father's," Saeki informed her newly discovered nephew. Anyone could see it in Souza's eyes. Already, he found Saeki to be an irritation. A stain. And while Sozen might not be able to kill her by virtue of some morality or another, Souza did not share that weakness. It was clear as day that the moment he achieved that possibility, he was going to slaughter her then and there. Souza, at that time, gazed at Saeki, his battle focus settling on her.

Now, Souza activated the technique called Pressure Gaze, and Sato and Saeki would both suddenly find themselves sweating a bit as the Kuchiki Heir looked at them. It would feel to them as if they were extremely paranoid. Under great pressure. Being observed by an entire crowd while stripped naked. This was the most vulnerable....The most exposed... That either of them would ever have felt. For the first time, Saeki would feel as if someone knew more about her than she wanted them to. I know what that ability is from reading his soul... she thought to herself. That's Pressure Gaze. But, knowing about it and feeling it are different things. This is an unprecedented intensity. I am not certain that Sato is capable of fighting this boy."

Now a different song

"Don't underestimate me," Souza informed Saeki. "You are far too proud of standing there and doing nothing..." Saeki's eyes widened. Souza closed the gap on them in an instant using his step technique, Jabber Walk. I know what that is. Jabber Walk, which allows him to choose between two slower steps and one faster one. But, even so, even with my prowess, I can't track his movement?! Souza appeared directly in front of Saeki, his Zanpakuto transfiguring very suddenly into a saber, rather than its sealed state. And that's his Shikai. Atsureki No Koe Ga. Souza's sword was in danger of stabbing into Saeki's chin. And, what was more, his foot was in between hers. He was well in her guard.

Saeki, of course, knew what Souza was aiming to do. Thus, she backed off quickly using a hopping flash step backwards. However, Sato also appeared from out of Souza's blade, in between Saeki and Souza, attempting to defend her. Saeki had anticipated this, but only in this moment did she realize just how much danger Sato was actually in. TOO LATE! Twisting his foot, Souza's eyes wide with the obsessive lust for murdering the two of them, he utilized a technique called Tengenko which forcefully shifted Sato Hoshi's center of balance, and Souza disappeared into another Jabber Walk, becoming an unreadable anomaly who appeared behind Saeki. At the same time, Sato's balance stripped from him, he fell to the ground on his butt, both of his ankles literally breaking with a sickening crunching sound. He cried out in pain as this happened. Souza's attack was once again coming at Saeki, but now a new face appeared before Souza to block as Sato and Saeki disappeared into some other reflective surface.

Hiroshi Shihoin! His sword was directly in front of Souza's. Just then, Sato appeared from out of Souza's blade with Saeki behind the Kuchiki Heir, doing nothing. Sato himself, emerging, had a short sword that he was stabbing toward Souza's neck. Immediately, Souza moved his whole body to the side, evading. But it was just then that he found Hiroshi Shihoin, at immense speed, appearing and slashing toward him. Now it was a three on one, and Souza was quickly becoming overwhelmed, especially with Saeki telegraphing all of his moves to her allies well in advance. This time, Hiroshi had the upper hand because of Saeki's mental interference. Left! she told Hiroshi.

Souza, indeed going left, was stopped short as Hiroshi shifted in mid movement to follow him. A slash to Souza's chest drew a large spray of blood, and a kick to his face sent him rolling across the ground. Coughing as he forced himself back up to his feet, Souza's eyes narrowed in rage at them. Are you in trouble, Souza...? the dragon that was his Zanpakuto spirit asked him. Nonsense, Souza retorted. This is merely evidence that I must dominate them at a much higher level than before. If they will succeed against me alone with her perception, then we will match it with Soul Merge. The Zanpakuto spirit inside of Souza agreed with this sentiment.

One Piece music in Bleach?!

Meanwhile, a huge number of faces could be seen standing up above the battle, gazing down along with the many unnamed Soul Reapers. These more powerful adversaries were observing, waiting for the best time to clash. Ryunosuke Hamada, the Segunda Espada. Sargon Denumic, the Tercera Espada. Myzaraphiston Synderfell, the Sexta Espada. Joining them now was also Grimoire Acero, one of Kouhai's mighty Envainar. Up above, one would also note Captains. Taiho Kasumi'Oji of the Kasumi'Oji Head position. Harle Quinn, the Captain of Squad 2 and Head of Tsunami. Alexander Kuma-Hebi, the Captain of Squad 3. This was indeed a massive scale war.

Guujin Karai as well took an observational position, but from within the battlefield itself. As of yet, no one was attacking him. Saeki's mysterious Quincy ally also stood watch, not attacked. Anarchy and Petrov now had the choice to seek a battle to engage in as well. It was growing intense. Very intense. Asmokon was being attacked by his own arrow due to Steve Lee. Okami would now see Hiroshi attempting to create a 3 on 1 against Souza Kuchiki. There were many battles happening now! Many, many battles. Captains, Espada, and more had arrived here to decide the fate of all of Soul Society. And thus commenced the War of The Worst.

As Souza suddenly had to deal with increasingly stacked odds, the most energy-observant would feel a meager bit of reiatsu moving towards the battlefield through the crowd. To most eyes, it would be nothing but a shadowy blur. It was noiseless, it was quick. It was like a phantom had begun to rush towards the combat between nobility.

Then, suddenly, the phantom had jumped into the air, spinning vigorously as it let a narrow sword-based shockwave fly towards Hiroshi. Even with Saeki's upgrades and guidance, he would have to react to the move. If he didn't, then he would face the full brunt of a Captain's strength. Chances were that he wouldn't like that. Provided no one decided to deal with him while in mid-air, the phantom Captain would land, looking at Hiroshi with a cocky grin on his virtually unseeable face.

"Ain't this just a regular fuck-fest, eh? Ah, well. I figured things would be bad when I saw the land going ka-blooey. How the fuck are all y'all noble disgraces doin' there, huh? Letsee, there's traditional Shihoin Blackface, the smell of Kawada pride, and.... Oh-ho-ho! Is that the panty-drippings of a Kuchiki who can feel an opportunity for power I hear?"

Grin would give his fellow Shihoin a fencing salute, his sword in his right hand, smirking all the while. Of course, only those who had passed well beyond animal level senses would be able to make out anything than an extremely blurred blob of shadows from the motion. And judging from the man's lack of a reaction to his taunts, he was either among that low class of sensory experience, or he simply didn't care about the verbal slings. Grin was willing to bet that it was the former rather than the latter. If there was one thing that his time among the Onmitsukido had taught him, few people were prepared for Shihoin stealth.

[Ōkami Shihoin]

Failure. The Bount mercenary found his defense failing against the onslaught of arrows. How his defense had suddenly failed against the Quincy’s arrows was something that he couldn’t understand. The last time the two fought, Asmoskon’s arrows bounced off of Ken harmlessly. And now, they were breaking through! He instantly felt Ken failing and being absorbed into the arrows themselves. His instincts told him that he had to act quickly. He could either use Gate to increase the strength of Ken, or he could use something else…something more potent. But, he would not get the chance to use either of these options. Suddenly, he found himself surrounded by the giant blue behemoth made of stone. This was Petrov’s doll. The giant behemoth guarded the two of them from the arrows and shattered them instantly. ”Why thank you.” Anarchy said in return for Petrov saving him.

With Petrov’s mighty doll joining the battle, Saeki’s forces had just doubled its strength. Jin remembered well how the addition of Petrov’s doll had been fundamental in destroying the Tsunami assassin sent after him. Umagi didn’t stand a chance once Petrov had summoned his behemoth of a doll. Petrov was quite a powerful Bount, and Jin was glad that he was serving on the same side as the man. Now, they could truly work together. ”Don’t start the party without me, mate.” Anarchy said as he leapt upwards onto the giant doll. He stood atop the doll’s head, gazing down at the battlefield in an attempt to pick his own prey. He would have chosen to fight Sozen here and now for revenge against Zouma Santeku, but the man named Jinbei Kawada had taken him on. Sozen’s son, meanwhile was engaging Saeki Kuchiki herself and her mod soul body guard. At least, that’s what Jin saw him as. Saeki used the man to escape every attack that came her way. So then, what made her so powerful? What makes everyone fear you, Saeki Kuchiki? What do you possess that makes even the Captain Commander want you dead?

While awaiting an answer, the Bount mercenary expanded his energy sensory in an attempt to find any strong opponents for himself. In order to escape here unharmed, Saeki’s forces would have to hold back as many of the powerful Captains and Lieutenants as they could. So which Captain would he have the privilege to engage? Moreso, how could he hold back as many of the Shinigami as he could to allow them all to escape? There was only one way he knew how. It could potentially blow his cover, but he was willing to take the chance. He had only faced one Captain after he had returned from hiding, and that certain Captain hadn't made his appearance yet. If he had, Jin wasn't sure he would be able to handle him alone.

Reaching into the pockets of his black cloak, Jin withdrew the golden yoyo that was his doll's sealed form and thrust it downwards so that it spun quickly at his feet. "Zeige dich, Hitze." he whispered softly into the air. Suddenly, there was a powerful surge of golden reiatsu from his position atop Petrov's mighty stone doll. His powerful Bount reiatsu would act like a beacon in any gifted sensor's energy sensory. In fact, it was almost blinding due to its strength. It would surely give away the mysterious Anarchy's true race, but that wouldn't give the Shinigami reason to believe that Anarchy was Jin Yamada. Especially not since Jin Yamada had been seen defeated at the hands of the Zoshuwwai King during Satsujun's attack on Soul Society. The most they could assume was that Anarchy was a powerful Bount just like Petrov, one who had been in hiding for a long time.

Anyway, once the yoyo burst into golden reiatsu and dissolved into the air, the temperatures in that underground area skyrocketed. From a cool 60 degrees Fahrenheit to a scorching 140 degrees Fahrenheit, anyone within that underground area would immediately feel the heat wash over them. Immediately, anyone not associated with Saeki's forces would find themselves sweating as if they were battling in a sauna. Every movement they took would feel as if they were wasting every little bit of energy and stamina they had. Such was the feeling of being submerged within Hitze's body, within its field. Once Hitze was released, there was no escaping the doll of heat. Immediate stamina drain would occur (OOC: 5% of physical stats/post) as long as they were within the field of heat. Saeki's forces, meanwhile, were saved by the cool pockets which formed around each and every one of them. Any heat that could reach them was diverted away by the doll of heat and transferred into the surroundings to increase the heat for everyone else. Those individuals would feel rather cool while everyone around them would begin sweating profusely.

Master, it looks as if one more has joined the battle. I believe he may be trying to hide himself from everyone else.

The doll of heat could easily sense Zeich as he entered the battle. While his reiatsu was suppressed by his zanpakutou's ability, it did not suppress the heat he gave off. Thus, the doll of heat found itself in contact with the heat which Zeich gave off, and in this way was able to sense the former Shinigami. Should I act, master? "I didn't sense anyone joining, but I'm sure Saeki has already sensed him. And if she hasn't, she'll find out by probing my mind the same way she did earlier to find out my identity." Jin responded to his doll's request. "Let's focus our attention on someone stronger." he said with a smile as his gaze turned to the Kasumi'Oji Captain and Alexander Kuma-Hebi staring down into the battle from above. While it would be fun to repay the Captain of Squad 11 for his attack on Otto's doll while they were in Hell, Jin thought that he'd quench his True Bount thirst by attacking the tall woman with blond hair instead. He could sense the power oozing off of her, and his True Bount instincts reveled in her power. With a mental command from Jin, the doll wasted no time in attacking the woman. Two columns of heat--each six inches tall--suddenly formed to both sides of Taiho Kasumi'Oji and spun towards her in an attempt to sandwich her in the middle of them. The Kasumi'Oji Head would easily feel the heat radiating off of the two columns as they approached her. If she let them touch her in any way, she would be seared with second and third degree burns all over.

While Jin attacked, Gatz remained in a corner of the battlefield, somewhere near the powerful Quincy ally. Through his simulation abilities, he made himself appear invisible. His reiatsu could be sensed, but essentially he could not be seen. And so, in this hidden state, he had used the Quincy ally as a shield to evade all of the arrows that had targeted him. "So many specimens to study. Which one first? The Quincy up there? Well, let's see how he fares against Steve Lee first! Then I'll join. Shishishishishishi"

Meanwhile, blue sparks of lightning could be seen pulsing off of the Shihoin Head, Ōkami Shihoin. The lightning could be heard by anyone near him, shrieking like a thousand birds. The Shihoin Head was angry, and those who had never seen him like this could immediately tell. Upon being given permission by the Captain Commander, he had gone into assassin mode. Reiatsu was gathering around him as his eyes focused on Hiroshi and the other battles going on. He had to first determine how he would approach his uncle. Hiroshi Shihoin was after all, a Shihoin himself. He had been taught the techniques of the family and had mastered them long before Ōkami had. Hiroshi would know exactly what Ōkami was using and exactly how to counter it. That was why this would be a difficult battle for him. But, he had an ace up his sleeve. Ōkami had never really been one to use his shaky, relying more on his abilities outside of release. While his uncle had seen his use of it a few times, Ōkami had confidence that he could catch his uncle off guard if he used his shaky wisely. So, to start things off, he began by activating a technique. As his reiatsu cloaked his body, he disappeared with shunpo and headed right for the battle Hiroshi had just joined with Souza Kuchiki. He would turn the 3-on-1 into a 3-on-2.

The Shihoin Head found himself stepping past Souza, becoming a blur as he did so in order to move towards Hiroshi. And all while he did, those around would note that he made no sound with his movements. Even the normal sound of a shunpo being used was silenced as he moved. Only those with a sensory of more than 250 would be able to hear the Shihoin Head's approach. "Kuchiki-fukutaicho, please let me handle Hiroshi Shihoin. He is a stain upon my family's name..." Ōkami would say as he passed by the Kuchiki heir just as Souza was forcing himself back up to his feet. While on the way using shunpo, Ōkami grabbed some of the rubble along the ground and then disappeared once more, this time using a technique known only by Captains and those who were practiced in the use of Hakuda, Shukuchi-Ho. When Hiroshi moved to dodged Grin's attack, he would find the Shihoin Head there waiting for him. With one step, Ōkami found himself immediately within Hiroshi's guard as he appeared after dodging Grin's attack. As Ōkami appeared there before Hiroshi, his right arm was already on its way up into Hiroshi's chest as if he was aiming for a punch into the man's solar plexus. But, this was not the case.

Firstly, while Hiroshi was focused on that right fist aiming for his solar plexus, Ōkami opened his left hand and thrust the rubble he held within it upwards into Hiroshi's face in an attempt to blind him. Then, as his fist was on its way towards Hiroshi's solar plexus, Hiroshi would find that Ōkami's attack would reach him sooner than expected. Even as that fist was on its way forward, the five inch long blades and the silver cestus were already forming along Ōkami's fist, so that the blades would pierce into Hiroshi before the fist reached. By the time the punch connected, the golden plated armor would have finished forming along Ōkami's arm and the shrieking lightning along its length would be heard, within such close range that it would even deafen Hiroshi. Ōkami was not messing around with Hiroshi, his father's murderer. He was not like Sozen, and more like Souza in this regard. He did not have the same mercy that Sozen showed to family members who betrayed the family and Soul Society.

As Ōkami's attack was launched, his left foot was already lifting from the ground as if he was in the middle of turning his body, rotating it in a way that would add force to his punch. He was preparing himself for an escape if his uncle was able to evade his attack. While he knew that Hiroshi was low on reiatsu, he still had to be careful after seeing the speed he had displayed earlier. Plus, Hiroshi knew all of the techniques Ōkami himself knew. So, he was being cautious incase Hiroshi used any of those or even one of his illusionary tricks. Whatever happened, Ōkami was already preparing himself to move. He had a second step left in the Shukuchi-Ho sequence, and he was ready to use it at any moment to escape a counterattack by spinning away with it at 1200 speed once Hiroshi attacked. If Hiroshi chose to block the attack instead of evading, he would find himself feeling slightly drained as a result of contact with those blades. Even if he used those metal parts he had been given to guard himself, he would find that even the metal would be weakened as it began to decay much faster than normal. That was Hayameru's effect. Anything touched by those blades would find themselves being sped up. Whether it was stamina, bleeding, duration, or durability. Nothing was safe against Kyukyoku no Kasokuki. Hiroshi would need to find himself a way to counter the sudden attack, given that Ōkami's appearance was silent and coming right after Grin's own attack. Ōkami wasn't going to take him easy. The Shihoin Head was a careful man, one who didn't take any of his opponents easy based on appearance. He was always watching and gauging as the battle went on and this situation was no different.

Technique 1- Wüsten-Abfluss (lit. Desert Drain)

Description: This technique is a passive ability of Hitze's upon being released. When Hitze spreads out within the air, it is able to directly transfer heat to opponent's through conduction. This allows it to cook opponent's from the inside out gradually. As long as the opponent is within Hitze's field of heat, they lose 5% of physical and awareness stats per post.

Drawback: Since Hitze can only spread its body out to cover a certain area, opponents are safe once they exit the area Hitze's body covers. Also, the loss of stamina from the heat is so gradual that it would take some time to weaken an opponent.

By releasing reiatsu all across the body, one can dull the sound of their movements. The reiatsu surrounding them acts like the silencer on a gun, except it acts on the whole body. When in effect, which is for a duration of 10 posts, one’s movements become completely silent, so much so that one would need a sensory of 250 or more in order to hear the user. This is the Class 5 version of the technique.

For the Class 4 version, this version can be activated at any time whenever the user wishes. By giving up 150 reiatsu when using a technique, the reiatsu flare from that technique can be “silenced.” This basically adds a silencer to techniques just like one would add a silencer to a gun to reduce noise and muzzle flash. When this is done, only those with energy sensory of 300 and above can tell when a technique is being used. By silencing the reiatsu flare, the charging technique is even able to evade Pesquis.

Asmoskon kept himself in the air now with air ground below his feet not needing to flap his massive red wings in order to stay at the height he had secured over the battlefield. It seemed that his arrows weren't going to be effective enough against these foes at his current release. That in itself was a problem he didn't like to release passed this and had never needed to do so against any foe in his life. He knew that such a time would come yet didn't wish for it to be so soon.

From what he was witnessing though there were a few individuals that had methods of either destroying his arrows, blocking against the force of them or tricking them somehow. The easiest of these methods was simply to overpower the arrows themselves so for those that were able to succeed in any other way Asmoskon knew were a cut above the rest and would need to be taken out immediately. His target though Guujin wasn't moving and Asmoskon suddenly felt the change in reiatsu and presence of Hell making itself known to the area. Sweat started to drip from his brow as the horrors forced there way into his mind and Asmoskon had to fight back the fear of what had been done to him.

He was in the middle of this war though in a battle bigger than anything he had ever been apart of by himself so by sheer strength of will and character he forced himself back to the present and saw what now stood in the air between himself and Guujin. It was a creature just as evil if not more so than the Akki that had tainted him and Asmoskon just from gazing upon this creature knew he wouldn't be able to hold ground against him as he was now. Even at full power the most he would be able to hope for was to slow him down long enough that the Captain Commander and Sozen would be able to finish their own battles and then work together to kill this thing.

The silver dome that was around the creature though gave off a powerful reiatsu signature something that didn't belong to Guujin and something that wasn't a target. As it appeared the arrows that had been intended to be destroyed suddenly curved over and around the surface of the dome moving past it and continuing on their path towards Guujin. This was the true power of Asmoskon's arrows not their speed nor how accurate he could fire them. Each and every arrow fired from him was locked onto the target and any reiatsu other than the target would never be struck.

So many things were going on all at once Asmoskon looked down and saw that the individual that had been coming after him wasn't giving up somehow he was now to his side and Asmoskon could only make out him vaguely with his left eye thanks to his peripheral vision. If the entity had appeared to the right Asmoskon might not have been able to pick up where he was however as the man appeared and seemed to think himself intelligent now believing that Asmoskon's own arrows would strike him down simply because he was in a position that put Asmoskon in the pathway. This man wasn't nearly powerful enough to be called a true challenge and Asmoskon was gazing angrily downwards at the one individual that had already claimed such a title.

Anarchy was now standing on the head of the giant stone dragon that the other Bount had released in order to save the both of them from his arrows. He knew that Anarchy alone would be an ample threat to every ally of his here and more so than anyone else present that he could think of he had a grudge to settle against that cruel entity. He didn't have time to joke around and test out the abilities and skills of his foes like he normally did he had to finish off each and everyone of them as swiftly as he could in order to help out as many of his allies as possible. All of them meant something to someone else and if Asmoskon did nothing than that meant someone would be losing someone dear to them.

He couldn't allow something like that to happen . . No so long as he was alive and in this battle not a single one of his allies was going to die. Not a single one of them Asmoskon was going to do everything he could to take down the entire opposition. They had an army of power . . . well so did he. Suddenly he got serious more serious in battle than he had been in a long time his reiatsu seemed to intensely tighten and rise in power while shifting from that of a pure Quincy to something evil something like an Akki. Just as black reiatsu started to emit off of his form the arrows that rushed up towards his arm curved around him moving to strike Steve in his chest like they had originally.

Hostages couldn't save someone from Asmoskon's arrows and neither could using him as such an obstacle someone intelligent would have been able to piece such a thing together and after this most of Seaki's forces would be able to which meant such an advantage was gone. Just as the arrows closed the distance reaching inside of Steve's guard and about to strike into his chest Asmoskon activated the power not yet seen in combat one that had only been activated enough times that he could count on a single hand. It had been used to survey the prison and find the Old Quincy yet surveillance wasn't the method this release held that would bring his foes army crumbling down.

Vergeltung the final release of his bow a form that no individual in any of the worlds of existence had ever lied eyes upon was released and with it Asmoskon vanished from existence itself. Steve would suddenly no longer see Asmoskon in front of him and just as that happened suddenly he would feel his body not only struck with the arrows that had been tracking him for awhile, but something else unseen, unperceivable and unblockable for someone so weak. Asmoskon was funneling in more reiatsu to his release specifically Teppai Shimasu doubling it's effectiveness and making it so only those that held superior reiatsu to himself would be able to perceive anything about him now.

Steve wasn't one of them and that next attack took the form of three large pitch black spiked chains with bladed sides tiring through his body while simultaneously draining him of his reiatsu and funneling it back into Asmoskon. The chains were connected to Asmoskon making them none existence to anything, but touch which was all that was needed for the unseen yet lethal downfall of the Mod Soul. Asmoskon then gazed downwards and knew which foe had to be eliminated next in order for things to go smoothly. He thrust his hand outwards and with it flew a massive of black reiatsu that would more than likely taken the attention of most present.

It only took a moment to take shape and it soared downwards until any arrow ever fired. "YOU FUCKING MAGGET DO US ALL A PLEASURE AND DIE!" everyone would hear the screaming of the military enthusiastic voice yet see a small three foot sized arrow with the upper body of Asmoskon flying downwards right at Petrov. Asmoskon gathered the reiatsu of the area and watched gathering what little info he would need on Anarchy's pet before he crushed it and then took down the fend himself.

Heat exploded onto the battlefield, and Zeich suddenly felt light-headed by its intensity. It was like stepping out of the cold rain and into the arid heat of a desert, the shock causing him to sway briefly. But his strong willpower allowed him to focus quickly, and scan the area to identify the source of this sudden heat. His ability to sense spiritual energy wasn't enough to pinpoint it, as all it gave him was a sense of a thinly-spread Reiatsu in the area, rather than any specific beacon, so he paused long enough to re-conjure Haiiro using his Spiritual Projection technique. The usual stamina drain came with it, indicating Reiatsu used, and Zeich let out a sigh of relief; perhaps he had just been imagining the reason behind Haiiro's constant presence of late. Surely a fragment of a soul couldn't become a body of its own!

Haiiro immediately began to pant upon reappearing, giving his master a glare that said “we're going to talk about this later.” Right, wolves with their thick fur don't mix well with heat; Zeich was willing to deal with that conversation later, however. For the time being, he ordered Haiiro to scan the battlefield using his eyes, to see if he could determine the source of this heat. The wolf, having his vision intact, had no difficulty in sweeping the area before giving a summary of the fight. It seemed that the Shinigami Zeich had come to aid had been given help in the form of another Shinigami; a Shihoin, if the words Zeich caught a moment later meant anything. Of course, the other side had been given aid too, making it three-on-two instead of two-on-one. But none of them were generating the heat, as far as Haiiro could tell.

Then there was the massive stone dragon not far off, wrapped around two individuals early in the fight. Haiiro had seen it before Zeich had dismissed him in the Release of his Shikai, and the dragon's presence hadn't changed in that time. It was very likely that this dragon was hiding the one creating this heat wave; seeing as only their side seemed to be affected, as per Haiiro's observations, Zeich figured that the dragon was likely concealing the individual. That was proven wrong a moment later, however; Haiiro noticed that there was a person atop the dragon, wearing a mask that Zeich knew only from records: it belonged to a man named Anarchy. There was no reports of this man being able to summon a stone dragon—though there was little information on him at all, really—and because of this, the Shinigami was willing to bet either Anarchy or the man still hidden by the dragon was creating the heat wave. That gave him two targets, and targets gave him a sense of purpose.

Ash flowed off of him, and though it made Zeich vulnerable to those with sharp energy senses, he was not concerned of the risk given that he had shown next to no presence up until this point. He was still a nonentity in action, even if he could be sensed now. That was why the Vizard was willing to act, and he sent Tsukikage's ash streaming across the battlefield, kept low to the ground where shadows, smoke, and the golden haze that filled the air kept it almost invisible amongst the background. It would take only a moment or two for the ash to close the distance, move up the dragon's side, and attack Anarchy from below. Even as it approached from below him, the ashen cloud formed two needle-thin blades propelled by the remainder of the mass, and those blades would stab into the man's feet and up through his legs, twisting and tearing through muscle and bone alike if he did not react. And how could he? The ash was virtually undetectable to Anarchy; it had no heat for him to detect, and it nulled its own spiritual presence. It was a nonentity, as was Zeich; much in the way of the Odyssey, nothing, and nobody, was going to be the one to stab the crime lord to death.

The blades, if they connected, would weave through the muscles of Anarchy's legs, tearing them apart even as they pierced through the bones and joints. From there they would move up towards the pelvis and into the torso, targeting priority organs such as the heart, lungs, and stomach. At that point, the ash propelling the blades would scatter in all directions too, skewering the man in moments. In short, if someone didn't stop the attack, then the crime lord would be torn up from the inside out, his internals shattered and his muscles ruined. He'd just become one big block of swiss cheese, unable to survive for more than a few moments. And this was the least of Zeich's abilities.

I never knew you were good at sewing. Haiiro remarked mentally at Zeich's choice of attack, like bladed needles trailed by strings of ash. Zeich gave a grim smile, one of the few expressions of enjoyment he ever showed. I'm not... more's the pity for him.

Souza clearly noted the Captain passing by him, though Souza said nothing, only nodding as to giving Okami the pleasure of being able to fight against his family's biggest disgrace, just as Souza was doing for the Kuchikis. Simultaneously, it could be noted that Souza noticed a disturbance in the air, as if something was attacking Hiroshi from behind besides Okami. Judging by the stealthy nature of it, Souza could only assume another Shihoin. This would make it a two on one for Hiroshi, while Souza would continue his two on one against Saeki and Sato. But, alas, Saeki had come prepared. As had her other allies. Those who were the most powerful among her forces.

Sato, Saeki thought, commanding Sato merely through a mental projection of what she wanted. Not even words were required. Only the instinctive thought. And so it happened. Though it appeared as if Sato was still on his butt, sitting next to Saeki due to no longer possessing the ability to stand, his image would also instantaneously materialize from out of Hiroshi's drawn blade. When Hiroshi had gotten his Zanpakuto was beyond anyone, but he'd had it for a few minutes now, having slashed Souza with it earlier. Presumably, it had been retrieved for him early on by Saeki's primary minions. The Zanpakuto, though old, was well made. Shiny. Reflective. Something that Sato could use for his powers.

And it was fast. It wasn't a slow appearance. Rather, it was a fast one, which went way beyond even a step technique's ability to move oneself. He grabbed a hold of Hiroshi, and the two of them vanished altogether as Sato transported them from that location into the interior of Souza's Zanpakuto. They emerged immediately from it, their images reflective and shimmering. Souza was quick to attempt to attack them, but upon slashing, found his blade passing harmlessly through mere images. Instead, there was a shining, reflective light, like a mirror reflecting the sun, next to Saeki, and the two emerged out from next to her, though only after the images of them had appeared near Souza, likely drawing attention from everyone else.

This was how they would prevent follow-ups. Anyone watching would have seen them come from Souza's blade, and assumed attacking there was necessary. Those attacks would have passed through the images like phantasms, and then the images would have shattered. And only then would Sato and Hiroshi emerge. Sato, on his butt next to Saeki. Hiroshi, standing proudly. It was then that Hiroshi would begin walking away from Sato and Saeki, finding himself a more isolated standing position. He called out to Okami and to Grin. "The both of you... If we're going to fight, let's do it without interrupting Saeki or her nephew. This is a family affair, right...?"

Well, here was the mystery. How was Hiroshi able to notice Grin? Sure, he could detect the speaking. But the way he said it, it seemed as if he actually knew where Grin was, and not just from tracking the sound of a bit of annoying dialogue. Hiroshi had a secret. Well, more accurately, he had many secrets. As did all of Saeki's forces. Now, he stood, his Zanpakuto ready. He was ready to engage both Grin and Okami if either one wanted to come. In the meantime, Souza gazed once again at Saeki and Sato, and curled his lip with irritation. If they were going to be this annoying, then he didn't need to hold back. He could already see them sweating beneath his Pressure Gaze... All he needed now was to up the ante just one more time...

Meanwhile, Grimoire smirked and spoke to Guujin as the arrows veered around him. "You're on your own..." he whispered in a voice so low that only those immediately next to him--in other words only Guujin, would be able to hear. Guujin made a face of mock horror as the arrows closed on him. "Kouhai-Sama!" His voice could be heard whining. "I've been hit!" Only to realize that he hadn't been hit. Instead, his Zanpakuto turned white as he swept it across the air, smacking all of the arrows aside quickly. He didn't destroy them. He smacked them aside. And then, as he did, and they continued to try to move toward him, they couldn't. They stopped dead, and began moving backward.

Into his blade, specifically. Guujin's blade was emitting some kind of force that yanked all of the arrows into it, so that they became stuck to it, like a magnet. At that point, Guujin now had arrows sticking to his Zanpakuto, making it light up and glow. He held it up, glancing at one of the Espada to assist him. A Cero came from some random direction, and blasted the arrows off of Guujin's Zanpakuto, destroying the arrows. No one was certain who had fired the Cero yet, only that it had been dark red, and strong enough to wipe out the arrows on Guujin's weapon. Regardless, Guujin had defended himself. But, Asmokon wouldn't have the opportunity to notice.

Asmokon himself would find his body suddenly penetrated viciously by his own attacks against Steve Lee. Carved up, made to bleed, damaged. It might even interrupt his shot against Petrov. In all likeliness, it probably would. In the midst of his hate, of his desire to unleash his rage, and in his realization that the twisted evil of Hell had arrived on the battlefield, he'd be interrupted and struck. This was because when he had locked in with his arrows, he had locked in on his own location. It was a simple reason. It wasn't that Steve Lee existed on another plane. He didn't. That was his ability. At this moment, he literally did not exist. All but an image was he, and that image was more of a trick, a hallucination. Thus, no abilities could seek or track him. Even other abilities without a physical reality.

They could lock only onto the location Asmokon had specified, which was his own, which would cause him to be struck and vigorously mutilated by his own ability. Steve Lee wasn't strong. Asmokon was right. He was only smart. Now, the image of Steve Lee dropped out of sight, vanishing back into the battlefield with a grin on his face. Asmokon would be left heavily wounded. Damaged by his own attack. Bleeding profusely. It would be up to him to find a way to continue this battle despite his grievous injuries inflicted by Steve Lee. He wouldn't be the only one, though. Not with other battles ongoing at the same time across the whole of the battlefield.

For instance, the Captain Commander and Sonken Kouhai. A quick release of reiatsu had created a cube from out of Kouhai's palm which had encased the Captain Commander as the old man approached the King of Las Noches. "Magyaku," Kouhai noted of his spell's name. The old man seemed to be going backwards in the cube. Exactly in reverse, in fact. That was Magyaku's ability. The Captain Commander was being reversed five seconds in time. He would leave the cube, not even knowing what had happened, and coming forwards again as if this was his first time attacking. Except, because it was his second time, Kouhai was more prepared, and side stepped, landing a deep, gashing slash along the Captain Commander's back.

Blood sprayed out, and the old man roared indignantly. Turning to Kouhai, the old man slashed with Ryuujin Jakka, and a huge flame erupted from the point of his slash, sending a column of pure heat and fire into the sky. Kouhai himself used a flash step to escape the column of fire, barely making it away. As he came out, it could be noted that his hair had been singed, and slight burns had formed on parts of his face and his body. Getting anywhere near the Captain Commander's heat was dangerous. "Sonken Kouhai..." the old man growled. "If you do not stand down at once, then this will became far more painful for you...." The Captain Commander, holding Ryuujin Jakka, allowed his free hand to fall to his side. To another sword's hilt.

Massive! A red dragon so huge that were it not coiled up in many, many layers around Petrov and Anarchy, it would have been able to fill nearly that entire space in which the battle took place. A huge, red serpent with glaring yellow eyes, and two mouths layered over one another. Petrov's second doll, the red dragon! It appeared in a flash of reiatsu as Asmokon's arrow launched toward it, and as Zeich's blades of ash came for Anarchy. The red dragon's second mouth opened up, and a flash of white light struck both Asmokon's arrow and went down to strike the ground around Anarchy as well, engulfing that space in the white light. In this way, it also touched the ashes.

As the arrow approached, it would simply dissipate completely. As the ashes tried to rise up into blades, they would fall back down as uncontrollable ashes, and vanish into particles less than ash, so small that they practically ceased to exist. In both cases, these attacks were nothing. There was no value to them at this point. And such was the might of the Bount, Petrov. His red dragon, next, took aim at Asmokon, who was now wounded and without his attack. Its first mouth opened up, and blasted a huge attack of yellow colored lightning, massive and nearly impossible to dodge just on size alone, straight at Asmokon. If this hit, it would do inconceivable damage.

{Petrov's second doll}

Like the first doll, this doll is minmaxed. In lacking any substantial techniques, it has two basic effects. The first of these effects is simply its attack, which is a huge stream of lightning. This is an enormous attack that covers a massive area. In terms of size, it's as large as what you'd imagine to be Kuroi's Muerte Rey Cero. It possesses the doll's class and reiatsu strength. As for the doll's second mouth, that ability is an instantaneous white flash that happens on reflex, not command. This white blast automatically targets the incoming attacks of all those recognized as hostiles, even if the dragon or Petrov don't even notice the attack. The attack, struck by the white blast, will have its base offensive value reduced by an amount equal to the dragon's offensive value. If it is then reduced to zero or less, the spell or attack in question is completely destroyed and rendered unusable in that encounter. The white blast costs 100 reiatsu to fire off.

{Sato's class 5 power}

At class 5, Sato's ability allows him to instantaneously (faster than even a step technique) vanish from one reflective surface into another, without the need to emerge from the original area of teleportation first. When he does this, he can create a brilliant reflective light from the surface of what he wanted to transport to, and also creates a false image of himself at the point of original location. This obscures his whereabouts.

[Douma]

The war raged on as the strongest forces in all three worlds clashed in an epic battle that would be remembered for centuries. Sozen Kuchiki faced off against Jinbei Kawada. Captain Commander Ningen locked blades with King of Las Noches Kouhai. Souza Kuchiki went head-to-head against his aunt and the mastermind behind the largest breakout and battle in the history of the worlds, Saeki Kuchiki. The consequences of this event would affect every corner of the three worlds.

And where was Douma? Well for now, he was watching behind the mask that formed around his head. He was analyzing the battle from the sidelines, picking up on all of the details with his perceptive analytical skill coupled with his sharpened energy sensory. Asmokon seemed to possess a unique absorption power. Jinbei could completely nullify Sozen’s power to turn objects red. Sato was using his ability to teleport through reflections to surprise Souza by emerging through his blade much like Douma could do if he had the option of using his shikai openly without revealing his identity.

Douma couldn’t stand a chance in a direct confrontation with any of the major forces out there. Luckily, all of Soul Society’s top fighters were focused Saeki’s dream team of prisoners plus Kouhai’s already unstoppable line-up including Grimorie Acero. Until a captain or vice captain made the mistake of directly confronting him, he wasn’t going to draw any direct attention to himself and risk dying now to someone like Sozen or the Captain Commander.

So Douma observed as Hiroshi Shihoin landed two blows on Souza before Okami took his traitorous uncle off the Kuchiki’s hands, Grin assisting him. He felt Petrov’s massive dragon protect Anarchy and send a powerful attack right toward Asmokon, who seemed to be in over his head. Douma felt a part of him lean toward trying to help the Quincy for Hotaru’s sake, but he quickly suppressed the emotion. Asmokon needed time before he’d be worth saving. His anger is uncontrolled. He needs to refine and focus it so that it can be used intelligently or he will continue to find himself outmatched by those like Jin and Anarchy in a head-on fight.

But there was a unique presence in the outskirts of the battle. He was certainly strong, too. A shinigami with a wolf accompanying him, though the wolf seemed to give off the same peculiar reiatsu tainted with hints of hollow. He had to be a Vizard, rumored to be one of the most dangerous races. Douma was interested. However, he was making a grave mistake. Anarchy was not a smart person to attack, and Douma felt that intent before Zeich even released.

And so Douma was feeling kind. He was going to do some charity work that day. “Observe in darkness, Kagebokkusu.” The black sword he wielded in his hand transformed so that it was a thin, pitch black sword that seemed more like space vacant of light than a blade and a black box hovered over his head. In addition, a tiny cubic centimeter of a mirror appeared on his wrist when he pressed his finger against it. Both moves were merely preparation

With a quick step technique, Douma positioned himself 20 meters to Zeich’s right side with Haiiro on the opposite side a second after the cloud of ashe was released. The box recorded the use of Shunpo. However, Douma didn’t pause at all. In fact, he was doing a lot at the same time. Zeich would see the masked man advancing toward him at a speed of 300, after-images trailing behind him, with his sword raised overhead, clearly preparing to strike down on the Vizard. Because of the heat, Zeich wouldn’t be at his mental and physical peak, so he would be frantic to respond as quickly as possible. However, the situation didn’t appear difficult to deal with.

But the key word in that sentence was “appear.” In actuality, Douma hadn’t moved an inch since his step technique. While his projection moved, he pointed his left at Zeich, though that hand would hold a simple black pistol that seemed to appear out of nowhere. There were six bullets in its magazine and a silencer was attached on its end. Douma’s high instinct and his familiarity with the weapon as a result of his criminal background made it possible for the gun to be crafted with Spiritual Projection in a split second. With the illusion hiding him, he could simply fire the bullet at Zeich’s upperbody, the largest target he could find to make up for his imperfect accuracy. It would travel at a speed of 600 and hit with a force of 400. Now that Douma kept Zeich occupied, Anarchy wouldn’t be as inclined to personally thank the Vizard for the assassination attempt. That way, Douma and Zeich could get to know one another.

Oh no… Himitsu thought to himself as he arrived at the scene. Just his luck. He got to the fight long after the battle already broke out. Vice Captains and Captains were called urgently from all locations to help defend Seireitei. Considering that he wasn’t assigned on any important mission, he was expected to be sent back along with the first line of Shinigami to defend alongside the Captain Commander and his own Captain, Sozen Kuchiki. However, when he arrived, Sozen was already in a heated fight against Jinbei and most everyone else was engaged in some sort of effort.

So why was Himitsu late to the party? He really didn’t have an excuse. The night before, he decided to take a break after completing his paperwork and went to a grassy valley in Eastern Europe to relax and enjoy the sunset between the mountain peaks. The last thing he could remember was that beautiful sight before he fell asleep. Next thing he knew, his half-awake mind was trying to understand the messages in five hell butterflies sent for him. What a bad way to start the day.

And so Himitsu hauled himself over to Soul Society just as Douma confronted Zeich. He didn’t have time to observe the battlefield and understand what was going on. Even if he tried, it’d be a struggle to think properly as the sweltering heat wore him down. He was already being pushed physically and didn’t even exert himself yet. This wasn’t going to be an easy day.

Hey Lex, you seeing this? Several moments of silence passed without a response. Uh, Lex… Are you se- OF COURSE I’M SEEING THIS. I’M NOT BLIND TO THE BATTLE OF TRUE MEN. YOU, ON THE OTHER HAND, ARE SITTING BACK WATCHING LIKE A BOY. I TAUGHT YOU BETTER THAN THIS, HIMITSU. EMBRACE YOUR MANHOOD. MEET SOKEN KOUHAI OR JINBEI KAWADA HEAD ON IN A FIST FIGHT. IMPRESS AND SURPASS YOUR CAPTAIN. BE A MAN!

A grave smile formed on Himitsu’s face. That was Lex’s way of giving him the green light. There would be no more holding back. It was time to wreck havoc. Himitsu drew his blade and spoke to it. “Enter the Gates of Heaven, Tengoku no Tenshi!” The katana transformed into a long staff-like weapon with a blade at the top. Himitsu was one of the few Shinigami who wielded a glaive, and he could hold is own with it in a physical fight. However, he excelled in the more spiritual aspect of combat.

The man released pulse of reiatsu that extended across the entire battlefield. It was a fairly simple technique similar to pesquis, though Spiritual Pulse was more successful in mapping the spiritual composition of all things it passes through. However, when Himitsu applied the technique with his shikai, the pulse never disappeared. It continued to feed information to him. Essentially, he had perfect knowledge of the actions every object with a hint of reiatsu in it. It was a real-time radar.

But that was just the beginning. Himitsu had yet to pick his target, and the decision wasn’t very difficult. He noticed Guujin Karai in the distance. Himitsu spent hours studying the faces of the largest enemies of Soul Society, and Guujin stuck out alongside Kouhai due to his history as a Shinigami. Himitsu wanted revenge for all the evil Guujin was responsible for, and he was going to get it.

Guujin wouldn’t know what was coming. He would be able to realize that he was surrounded by the pulse of reiatsu Himitsu released. However, that reiatsu didn’t seem very dangerous at all. What was dangerous was Himitsu’s unique ability: Lineage of Reiatsu. He could cast techniques out of any source of his own reiatsu. Guujin would have a split second to react before a bolt of lightning cast a centimeter from his chest pierced through his heart, ending his life then and there. His only option of escape was another step technique, and because Spiritual Pulse mapped out the flow of Guujin’s reiatsu, Himitsu could predict the flow of reiatsu and the direction that Guujin wanted to step toward. That gave him the heads up he needed to estimate where Guujin’s destination would be and cast Byakurai once more, targeting his heart again. Either way, Himitsu planned on eliminating the traitor once and for all.

ACTUAL BLEACH MUSIC?! NO WAY!

A pulse. A sensing mechanism which would allow Himitsu to learn much more about his surroundings. Useful, and deadly. Not only would it give him something for sensing, but it would also assist him in attacking, as he could create Kido spells out of it to attack his enemies. Well, normally that was what would happen. Normally. But, he had chosen to attack one of the smartest people in this area, Guujin Karai. And just as Himitsu's goal was to create a pulse that could sense his enemies, Guujin already had an enormous level of energy sensory, and he could not only sense Himitsu, but also sense Himitsu's intentions. He could sense everyone there, and react to them. He could sense the pulse, and the offensive intent within.

Guujin was even able to sense, vaguely, the intention of his enemy. It was for that reason that he let out a mental thought as it approached. Saeki, love! Guujin called out mentally. Won't you assist me, darling Saeki? Because this was a war, and a one on one would never be truly a one on one. Especially with someone like Saeki on the enemy's side. As the pulse approached, Guujin, sensing the intent behind it, could tell that it wanted to create an attack as it touched him. As it got closer, he felt the reiatsu building up for a Kido. He then crossed his arms, and as the pulse washed over him, his arms, which were over his chest and touching it, lashed out.

The Byakurai that formed would form along his arms, which were now vibrating. Thus, along Guujin's arms, one would experience a shocking twist. He released them forwards in a blasting out motion. And that motion, which had captured the Byakurai earlier, dis-spelled it completely. It was immediate. The Byakurai shattered, defeated. Himitsu's attack there had failed, and now the pulse was past Guujin. It might try to attack again, but... Too late. For two reasons. The first was that a quick flash step brought him directly before Himitsu with a cracked smile, holding up his Zanpakuto in a more guarded position, ready to attack. Hello, dear... a voice spoke into Himitsu's mind.

Meanwhile, Sozen, smirked at Jinbei. A quick flash step away, and he dodged the incoming Sokkatsui. "You overestimated yourself, Jinbei Kawada," Sozen declared, appearing in front of Jinbei and slashing. Jinbei blocked once more, his face stoic. Then, he understood. Jinbei's eyes widened as he realized his folly. Sozen had intentionally left himself open, knowing that Jinbei would instinctively punch him! Jinbei was a boxer, and so good of a boxer that it was an instinct to attack such an amazing, clear opening like that. And it was true, the punch had been so significant that Sozen had nearly been knocked out cold. But, it had been worth it. After all, though pushed back, Sozen had gotten what he'd wanted.

Having taken advantage of Jinbei's honed, incredible combat instincts, Sozen had seized an advantage. Jinbei's eyes followed Sozen's, noting where Sozen was looking. And it was Jinbei's knuckles, which had punched Sozen in the face and broken his nose. There it was, clear as day. Sozen's blood. Before Jinbei even had the chance to defend himself, blades erupted forth into Jinbei's knuckles, tearing through his hand and instantly mutilating it. The blood droplets that flew out also created blades aimed at other parts of Jinbei. Disengaging quickly from Sozen, Jinbei slashed all of the incoming blades clean in half with one hand, while retracting the stump of the other into his sleeve and out of sight.

A quick step away brought Jinbei out of Sozen's immediate eyesight and reach. It was there that he was quick to tear his sleeve and hurriedly wrap it around his stump to stem the bleeding. Jinbei had been foolish, and now had allowed Sozen to wound him gravely. As to be expected, of course. Sozen was a combat genius. Even Jinbei, who was a monster in his own right, had to admit that in the past seven years, Sozen had come far. Though when they had started, Jinbei had been the clear superior, Sozen had long since caught up, matching Jinbei on par. The Kawada Lord had not considered that. He had never once considered Sozen his equal. And now, he realized he had been wrong.

Back to Himitsu, he would find two things. First, his ability to sense things with his pulse immediately dissipated. Second, his Zanpakuto also shut off, sealing itself. This left him utterly defenseless. But, how had it happened? Simple, really. At least for the second part. I told you to fight like a man, BUT YOU FIGHT LIKE A COWARD? You misuse my powers... That was the voice of his Zanpakuto spirit! His Zanpakuto spirit...angered? So driven to anger in just a few short seconds that he had refused aid to Himitsu entirely? Impossible. Even with Saeki's incredible energy sensory, which did allow her to speak to Himitsu's Zanpakuto, so quick a negation shouldn't have been possible.

Ahh, but that was the kicker. Saeki could project her thoughts at unimaginable speeds into other people's minds. It was a super communication, and within that short span of a few seconds, she had held a conversation with Himitsu's Zanpakuto spirit that should have taken several minutes. In the time it took for Guujin to arrive before Himitsu after stopping Byakurai, there had been a drastic change in Himitsu's very soul. Well, that didn't explain why his other functions weren't working, but... He'd never find out the reason for that. "Wellll...It looks like you're pretty much on your own, now..." Guujin informed Himitsu. "What now?"

Meanwhile, Kouhai too found himself troubled. For as he landed a slash yet again on the Captain Commander, the old man's hand reached up and grabbed Kouhai's wrist, pulling it so that Kouhai's hand was just behind the old man's back. No longer could Magyaku be used to stop the old man, who held Kouhai very, obnoxiously close. "Now..." the Captain Commander said to Kouhai. "You will pay." The old man pressed Ryuujin Jakka's blade against Kouhai's chest, and suddenly the smell of burning flesh began to fill the air as Kouhai's chest, slowly, started to burn. It was only by luck that Kouhai managed to slash, miss as the old man disengaged, and back off.

It was then that a voice spoke in the minds of all who were members of Saeki's or Kouhai's forces...

Hmm...It seems that all of you need some help. What do you think?

How did she straight up stop Himitsu's sensory? A class 1 technique which negates the sensory capacities of all enemies with less energy sensory than Saeki herself. By activating this, she has negated ALL on the Soul Reaper side in terms of sensory.

[Zeich Yajuu]

Zeich's eyes narrowed as he felt his Zanpaktou's ash go inert, struck by the lightning that Haiiro described. Worse still, it disappeared a moment later, completely obliterated by the attack that had struck it. No doubt, this foe was formidable. Fortunately, only two-fifths of Tsukikage's ash had been destroyed, as it only took a single portion out of five to create a bladed attack. But Zeich was now wary of this dragon, one that could destroy a nearly undetectable attack so easily; according to Haiiro, the creature had struck it almost as an afterthought, blasting something out of the air with lightning before curving it down to strike at Zeich's attack. It could be a fluke, he admitted, but such things were uncommon in battles like this. Somehow, that attack felt deliberate, or at least aimed, even if it was subconsciously.

Was there something more to it? Could the creature sense hostile intent? No, if that was the case, it would have struck at him already. It only struck at the ash, meaning that it was possible that it didn't sense people, but rather sensed attacks. Zeich's ash had been destroyed, but before that, it had simply been neutralized. The dragon had an unusual ability about it, and the Vizard wasn't sure what it was, but he could test it, given time. His position was still very well hidden, and though he was now visible on anyone's energy sensory, Zeich had an advantage; filling the air was the unknown attacker's golden mist, which rang out with its own Reitasu, effectively shrouding everything in it. While it wasn't enough to hide anyone by itself, it was like casting a shadow over the battlefield, allowing for those who knew how to use it to hide. And the former Shinigami's skill in Stealth allowed him to mask his presence to some extent even without Tsukikage's ash present, so between the mist and his skill, he could still disappear.

But that didn't do anything about the heat, and Zeich could feel himself starting to feel light-headed from the heat. He could feel the toll on his physical body, and that was enough to confirm that he could not remain within this cloud long, not if he wanted to get out with his physical capabilities intact. No, either he had to escape, or take out Anarchy. While he was still at—or at least near—his peak, Zeich figured that one more attack would be his best bet. He'd have to find a way to maneuver around the dragon, however; perhaps a split attack would be the best way to strike. It only could fire in one direction at a time, and Tsukikage's ash was extremely fast; if Zeich activated his Bankai, he could probably outspeed the creature. But did he want to give away his strongest level of Release so soon? It would be an immediate beacon to his presence, as it was likely that there were at least a few people who would recognize it as well. What to do...

Master, target on your left. Haiiro's mental warning wasn't needed, though Zeich acknowledged it; his senses had already caught the sound of someone landing nearby in a step technique, and the feeling of his movement via step technique had caused a slight current of cool air in the sweltering heat. Zeich's ears were sharper than the man gave him credit for, especially since the man was clearly unskilled at keeping himself hidden. He had appeared just as Tsukikage's ashes had been released towards the dragon, a tactical move that would allow him to attack while the Vizard was defenseless... or seemingly so. The truth was, with only a little over a third of his ash committed to the attack, Zeich was far from defenseless. This was made obvious when ash rose up from the ground, forming a blade that sliced the bullet in half; Zeich's sharp senses were enough to detect the whir of a bullet moving through the air even if he couldn't hear the gunshot easily due to a silencer, and his ashes moved faster than the projectile did. Soon pieces of the slug fell to either side of him, leaving him unharmed.

And why had he attacked the bullet, instead of the image of the man that was coming his way? The first trick of it was that Zeich was blind, and thus his ability to be fooled by visual images was very limited. Though he received feedback from Haiiro to inform him of his “assailant's” approach, Zeich's ears had not caught the sounds of footsteps, heavy breathing, or even a heartbeat, and thus he had known it to be nothing more than an illusion. That was why he focused on what his senses could actually detect, something real like the bullet tearing towards him. A bullet easily averted, of course, as the Vizard had demonstrated, and one that was unappreciated. But Zeich didn't have time to deal with the would-be gunman, not while the golden mist was in the air and sapping his strength with its heat; whoever he was, the man could be dealt with later.

The attacker would simply see Zeich disappear, his Shunpo carrying him out of range quite quickly. The Vizard had summoned his ash to his body, that which remained anyway; it wasn't enough to completely mask his spiritual presence by itself, but his skill in Stealth worked in tandem with it, making it almost impossible for him to be traced by all but the most skilled of sensors. But he hadn't done so just to mask his presence; no, that was a fringe benefit. Zeich had done so because the ash couldn't move with his Shunpo unless it was actually attached to him, limited to a static speed on its own. It was fast, but nowhere near as fast as step speed could be. Thanks to that, the Vizard would soon approach Anarchy at speeds faster than could be easily tracked, meaning that even the dragon would have a hard time striking him, at least as far as he knew. Once Zeich was in range to engage Anarchy, the dragon couldn't attack lest it fry its own ally, though there was no certainty that such sentiments would stop it. The Vizard knew he would have to be alert as he attacked. To that extent he also activated Buraindo Jinsei, a technique that improved the user's senses at the cost of their sight. Obviously, the cost was minimal for one who lacked vision.

Arriving atop the dragon, Zeich made no effort at conversation as he immediately struck out, drawing Haiiro's sword and attacking with a rapid Shunpo Karin, his blade slicing through the air with the intent of separating Anarchy's head from his neck. With no stealth skill, every motion he made created some form of sound, and Zeich could track that easily to create a very precise attack, from the man's breathing to the shifting of his clothes with the slightest change in posture. All the man would see was a wolf-masked individual striking at him, golden eyes gleaming with a feral glow behind the frightening visage. Then, he'd have to deal with a slash at a speed of 3800 coming towards him with terrifying precision, aimed for his neck. Even if he dodged it, it would not be the last of Zeich's attacks. Ash would pool at his feet and travel along the dragon's body, tracing Anarchy's movements as the Vizard guided it mentally, and the moment the ash came within striking distance of the man, it would wrap around his feet and legs, forming constricting bindings that would prevent further movement as they were tied together. Kaijin Gokusha was a strong binding technique, able to suppress a foe's movement and ability to use weapons as their limbs were ensnared by it.

As Zeich closed in to strike again, he idly noted something from the last time he approached. Though there wasn't enough room for him to actually immerse himself in it, the Vizard had noticed a small pocket of cooler air around Anarchy. It was likely that this man was indeed the source of the heat, and could also protect himself from it. That renewed Zeich's determination to attack his target, though he kept his ears open for the dragon's motions as well. The last attack had been a blast of lightning, so the smell of ozone and a crackling sound would be evident, not to mention that even Zeich's weak energy sensory would be able to detect an attack at this close range. As long as he was alert for changes around him, the former Shinigami could focus all of his strength on Anarchy, eliminating him from the battle as soon as possible to ensure that he could no longer weaken the rest of their forces.

Technique Description and Effects:

The first of the Dark Wild Arts line of techniques, this is the opening technique that is required for each of the others after it. The Dark Wild Arts uses speed similar to the standard line of original techniques, but it also makes use of the user’s other senses through the loss of sight, strengthening them, and allowing the user to particularly focus on their sense of touch and hearing more than anything else. Upon use, this doubles the user’s current Senses, but requires that they have no way of seeing; simply closing one’s eyes does not work. A visual impairment of sorts is required, whether it is the actual loss of one’s vision, or some means of covering that completely blocks sight.

How to use technique:

The first step is to remove vision completely. There can be no trace of light, meaning that if one is not currently blind, one must use a visual impairment of sorts, whether it’s a blindfold or some way of cutting off vision. Once that is done, Reiatsu is released through the body in small amounts, augmenting the user’s ears and nerves, thus enhancing hearing and touch sensations.

Drawback:
There are multiple drawbacks to this technique. The first, obviously, is that it requires blindness in some way. Whether it is artificial or actual blindness, the user must not be able to see at all, or their brain is distracted by its main stimuli through sight rather than focusing on alternate ones. The second is that this style of combat takes adjusting to, a total of one post after the technique is used, during which time the user’s Senses are decreased by half. This is the adjustment to relying on senses other than visual; Lost Sense types who have given up sight, or any other character who is naturally blind can skip this adjustment post. And finally, when this technique is canceled by re-introducing sight, the user has to re-adjust to vision, and thus must have a post after this technique is deactivated in which Senses are reduced by half again. This technique also costs 50 Reiatsu per post to keep active.



Kaijin Gokusha (Ash Prison) – Another somewhat offensive technique meant for suppression of movement, Kaijin Gokusha allows Zeich to create wrappings of gray ash around the target’s arms or legs, keeping them bound together in order to restrict movement and ability to retaliate. These bindings are simple affairs, appearing almost like ash-gray bandages that wrap around the targeted limbs. However, they are much sturdier than they look; Zeich’s ability to suppress is based on his Spiritual Pressure, which is his way of suppressing and putting down his opponent, and thus as a result he compares his Spiritual Pressure to his opponent’s Strength, should they try to break out physically, or Reiatsu Strength should they be trying to break out with the use of spiritual power. Strength of Will at a 2 or higher allows the reduction of requirements to 75% of Zeich’s Spiritual Pressure. These bindings also possess Tsukikage’s suppressive powers, increasing Reiatsu costs of those bound by it by 10% per set of bindings, which stacks up to 20% total with both arms and legs bound. However, each use takes two sections of ash from the total five, meaning that there is very little left if both sets of limbs are bound during Shikai.

In Bankai, this technique is strengthened accordingly. By paying double the cost (see drawbacks), Zeich can reinforce the first set of bindings with a second layer over them, which now take on the form of gray chains made from the ash that tie in tightly over the initial wrappings. This reinforcement makes it so that to break the technique, an opponent must possess either a Strength or Reiatsu Strength greater than twice Zeich’s Spiritual Pressure, depending on which type of force they are using to break free of their bindings. Strength of Will at a 3 can reduce the requirement to only 75% superiority to Zeich’s Spiritual Pressure. In addition, the additional layer of bindings increases its suppressive effects, increasing the costs of the victim’s techniques by 20%, up to a maximum of 40% with both arms and legs bound.

The cost for this technique is a simple 150 Reiatsu per post for its normal form, and 300 Reiatsu per post in its advanced, doubled-up form. In addition, this is heavily taxing on Zeich’s ash reserves, using two out of five sections of ash for binding one set of limbs. That is 40% of his ash that is used for either overall or techniques when this ability is used for one area, or 80% for two areas. Finally, Strength of Will can help reduce the effectiveness of this tech if the victim has a sufficient amount, allowing them to break through the bindings more easily.

Well, well. Now wasn't this interesting. Myza looked at the battle developing from outside of the Garganta before simply shrugging as she finally stepped out. There were Captains everywhere, but against the might of Los Noches, even such "exemplary" members of the Lesser Races couldn't do anything. She would ignore the sudden heat that appeared, watching people scatter in the face of the raw power being released by those below.

"Insects," she would disdainfully whisper under her breath as she landed a good distance outside of the battlefield. Her energy was concealed, meaning that people would have to follow her descent visually if they wanted to find her. Sadly, there was no air ground in spiritual realms, meaning that she would be forced to go on foot. But she was perfectly fine with that. After all, it meant that those fools from the Lesser Races would be as well. And there would be no way for them to sneak up on her.

Normally, she would have loved to leap into the melee, to demonstrate her superiority. However, she had a different job to do, one that required her to be elsewhere. After all, the Squad 4 barracks weren't going to destroy themselves.

Grin, in the meantime, would cluck at Hiroshi. Man, he was lucky that his friends cared about him so much. Otherwise, he'd be dead where he stood. The Squad 11 Captain would walk up next to Okami, shaking his head while he continued to smile at Hiroshi.

"What the fuck you talkin' about, Blackface?" the covert Shihoin would say, chuckling some as he stood next to Okami. "From what I can tell, you're certainly not any part of the Shihoin family anymore. Kicked ya right the fuck out, apparently. 'Course, can't say I fuckin' blame 'em. I mean, just look at ya! You're a nobody! You're pathetic! You look like a fucking stiff breeze will snap ya! By far the worst Shihoin to ever live, by my count. Like, you're literally shit-tier. Hell, probably the least competent Shihoin head to ever live. Ain't that fucking right, Okami?"

Grin would laugh loudly at that point before he suddenly swung his sword yet again. Another shockwave would hurtle towards Hiroshi. However, the instant Hiroshi reacted, Grin would be moving as well, using a Shunpo to close in on the former Head's position. A wide smile was on Grin's face as he appeared in the traitor's sword reach. However, there was one problem. There was a glaring opening in Grin's guard. It would be child's play for a sword master to simply take advantage of this opening and stab him in the stomach. However, it was entirely possible that this opening was a trap as well. The question was this: Was Hiroshi willing to take this risk or not?
