Name: [Sonken Kouhai]
Statistics: [Shinigami, Class 0, Rank Level 4, King of Las Noches, Age 522, Affiliation Las Noches, Highest Power Soul Release.]
Basic Appearance:
[The very coldest eyes one can have: these belong to Kouhai. They are an icy, cool sky blue, and never wavering. His eyes never change no matter how one looks at them. They are always devoid of any emotion other then contempt. When one looks at his eyes, they see the true depths of what a black soul Kouhai has. The eyes alone are able to show people the true meaning of having no fear. They are a symbol of Kouhai's very soul. They are also devoid of any damage, having no bloodshot or apparent liquidity. His eyes are also quite infuriating to those against Kouhai, as they never change when he fights them, and they fight right in with his casual, arrogant, and uncaring smile that he displays against enemies. Truly, the eyes are the most noticeable part of Kouhai, even if protected by spectacles.
Next off comes the rest of the head. His hair is a neat, well parted brown. It isn't very long, just enough to reach the base of his neck around the back, and with one or two thin strands carelessly left hanging at the forehead. His face is young, and he himself is also rather young looking. He is calm always, in the exterior. His skin is smooth, flawless, and a classic melanin color. His mouth is almost always placed into a casual, amused smile, benefitting his icy eyes and making him appear to be both cruel, and fearless at the same time. His presence itself is like a monster from hell itself coming out, his cold expression calculating, authoritive. He has authority, and the power to enforce his command, his presence being intimidating. His reiatsu is monstrous, so just looking at him is painful because of how heavy and strong his spiritual pressure is.
The body itself has some muscularity, not too much, it is rather smooth and flat for the most part. He has a bit of arm and leg muscle, and a four pack, but nothing seriously muscular. For the most part, Kouhai is a thin man with very little to lose, but quite a bit that he could gain. Despite his appearance he is very physically fit, even for a shinigami. His body is devoid of scars, his skin a flawless smooth all around, on every single part of it. There is literally nothing that has marked his skin. All in all, there is not very much to Kouhai's body, no real identifying markings. However, nobody can mistake him for someone else, or someone else for him, that is absolutely certain.
His outfit is a long white coat buttoned up, but beneath which he wears nothing else. He has black long pants and black shoes to match and contrast his outfit, and his collar is popped, and very sharp. He has extremely sharp looking coattails. White flame patterns are visible along the coat tails and the long sleeves. His scabbard is hooked at the left side of his waist, the tip aimed downward behind him, the hilt of his blade aimed at the sky before him. The pants that go with the outfit are hard to see, but they are white as well, matching the t-shirt. The coat in fact, is so long that it drapes just an inch or so above Kouhai's ankles. To match this, he wears black shoes on his feet.
Face Claim: Ryoichi Yaginuma
Basic Personality:
His surface and internal personality are both utterly calm, and utterly arrogant. He is polite, well mannered, and always allows people to finish speaking before he himself speaks, regarding them with an icy, amused contempt, as if he is giving them the privilege of even opening their mouth, and as if he is blessing them just by letting them breathe. He cannot be defeated, this is his synopsis of his own power. He is invincible, sufficiently so. He is cruel, cruel and devoid of any emotions or feelings resembling kindness, compassion, honor, and things along those lines. All he really cares about are his own selfish goals, nothing more and nothing less. Beyond that, nothing else is known on him.
Kouhai's mannerisms are offsetting and intimidating. His voice is deep and resounding, a powerful baritone that reaches out and engulfs those to whom he speaks. Externally, he has never been seen to lose his calm, unless it was acting. Once in a while, he is known to act and to feign surprise, anger, or another emotion, in order to fool and offbalance the opponent. Because Sonken Kouhai is ultimately very cunning. He dabbles in trickery and psychological warfare as much as he does actual martial skill. He acknowledges that his power might have small holes, and thus it is necessary to still be extremely intelligent.
Though he has grown so powerful, he has never forgotten what it means to be cunning. His greatest asset, after all, is his intellect, and his incredible genius. As a member of the Gotei Thirteen, Sonken Kouhai was a genius unlike any other. They had said he might be Captain Commander, before he left and betrayed them. Because he was an unrivaled genius, not only strategically, but scientifically. He could do things no others could even conceive of. Even the experiments of Satsujun himself fell short of the genius of Sonken Kouhai. Squad 12's golden age was with him in their ranks. No one in history ever created scientific means on the level of this man.
There might be misconceptions from mind readers who learn of Kouhai's history. They might assume he has a soft spot. He does not. Inside Sonken Kouhai, there is only blackness. Certainly, he has a goal of his own which is selfish. He does indeed possess that ambition. But, when looking inside of him and experiencing the terrifying void, it can only be wondered about. Does Sonken Kouhai want to revive his mother because he loves her more than anything, or does he want to revive her because he wishes to unlock the secret of death itself, and conquer even that? Does he want her, or does he want to be God?
Powers Overview:
Zanpakutou Sealed Appearance:
Simplistic, silver blade which is extremely sharp and well refined, with a typical silver colored rectangular guard, and black wrap hilt. Japanese in style, a katana which is custom fashioned to be easily wielded in one hand. The slightest of curves to the hilt makes all slashing angles adjust by a centimeter, creating extremely unorthodox strikes, and hard to read maneuvers. The blade has no glint, and though it casts wind, creates no sound when it moves. For this reason, some refuse to believe that it is a Zanpakuto, for the feel is too foreign. Too custom. How could a soul be so silent? But it is a Zanpakuto, befitting Sonken Kouhai.
Sealed Appearance
Shikai Appearance:
It starts with a simple golden glow around the blade, and it continues with the blade disappearing, the sky filling with white light as golden snow flakes begin hovering around, sparkling with light and majesty. There are a total of 1,682,512 snow flakes drifting all around the area. All in all, this is a tremendously powerful ability, one can just tell. At any point in time, Sonken Kouhai can grab one of the snowflakes, and turn it into a blade made of golden reiatsu.
Bankai Appearance:
The sky becomes filled by gray storm clouds, blotting the entire thing out as lightning flashes and flares all around, while thunder roars. It begins to rain, a crimson red rain, a rain made completely of blood. It is a creepy scene, one that most would never wanted to experience. Overall, there is really nothing else to the appearance of the Bankai.
Zanapkutou Release Names(Include both Shikai and Bankai names, and call out phrases)
"Bereave, Heishi Mitsukai | Bankai, Ryuuki Sendo Mitsukai"
It is thought by many that the ability of Heishi Mitsukai is illusions, as if mimicking Kouhai's predecessor, Azeru Cho. While the Zanpakuto uses illusions, that is not the ability of Heishi Mitsukai. Heishi Mitsukai's ability is better described as "subjugation of will." Kouhai uses this Zanpakuto to subjugate the will of others. More accurately, he subjugates the mind, both conscious and unconscious. This is to say, he subjugates desire, fantasy, emotion, and even thought. His power is to completely dominate the mind of his opponent. This is done through psychological warfare, or in other words trickery, crafted by illusions, either external or internal. However, illusions are not the base of the ability. They are a means to an end, created based on the idea of subjugation of will.
Kouhai's ability is to subjugate all things, sentient or not, so long as they are living. He corrodes their will, and instates his own. That is why his ability is the most terrifying in Las Noches. Because, should there be one in his forces that does not believe in Sonken Kouhai's absolute power, then they will be subjugated. Even within the Vandenreich, which has fanatical devotion, there is no such ability as Kouhai's subjugation of will. His ultimate strength therefore rests not in the illusions that he crafts, but in the subtle psychological warfare that he uses to completely dominate those against whom he has combat.
Shikai Overall:
The sparkling snow flakes all around each contain one illusion, all of the illusions being different. The enemy will become trapped in one of them if touched by one of the snowflakes, which can be moved at will by Kouhai's mind. So, all in all, the only way to evade his ability without becoming utterly exhausted is to not become touched by the snowflakes. Even if someone could bust out of the illusions with superior reiatsu strength, the effort breaking through each and every illusion consecutively would completely exhaust them. Each illusion lasts anywhere from a few seconds to up to an entire week inside the victim's mind. However, in reality, only a mere second or two will pass. Each illusion broken costs 100 reiatsu, and requires either superior reiatsu strength or illusion resist 3 (for inferior reiatsu strength.) Can be done with equal reiatsu strength and illusion resist 2. Impossible with illusion resist 1, unless superior reiatsu strength exists.
The illusions are actually designed based on the opponents themselves. Once a snowflake touches an opponent, while each illusion contains a certain type of illusion, the illusion will shape itself according to the victim as well, so that it can have maximum delivery of that which is the worst for the opponent to experience. As said, this is subjugation of will. The illusions are crafted to subjugate the opponent, either with fear or pain, or otherwise by exhausting their mental state and forcing them to submit simply because of weariness, mental drain/exhaustion, or worse. They are essentially aggressively beaten down by Sonken Kouhai's illusions. If even one of them hits an opponent, it might be enough to end the fight just like that.
Kouhai, when turning one of the snowflakes into a sword, wields that illusion directly. In other words, just because it is a sword, does not mean that it isn't also an illusion. If the sword even so much as touches an enemy, they will be subjugated by whichever illusion was contained within the snowflake currently being used as a sword. Kouhai will often wield multiple blades at once in order to inflict the best possible damage with his illusions. Oftentimes, he uses a combination of one that lasts for seconds, and another that lasts for a week. No one except for Sonken Kouhai can differentiate between snowflakes, and thus it is Kouhai alone who knows which one contains which illusion. Because of his ability to pick and choose these illusions, this Zanpakuto can become very strategic.
There are a few known illusions that Kouhai favors. However, while these are known illusions, they are not actual techniques, nor are they exhaustive of his options for illusions. The following are frequently used illusions:
Illusion 1 - Kouhai appears to possess an illusion which allows the subject to experience an event in which he/she defeats and kills Sonken Kouhai. In the aftermath, the remainder of the next seven days are spent with the subject's desires, every single one of their most secret and loved desires, being fulfilled. And then, just as things can't get any better, everything comes crashing down as the illusion abruptly ends. Kouhai usually takes this opportunity to end things with a stab to the heart.
Illusion 2 - Simply an illusion in which the victim is placed elsewhere, forgetting about the situation prior. In this 'elsewhere', the subject makes love to his/her current lover. They then go on a wonderful, lovely vacation together where all woes and troubles are forgotten. Once this is over, the illusion ends to reveal the truth of what is happening all around.
Below are techniques that are available in both Shikai and Bankai:
Jiten - This technique must be activated manually, and when activated creates a flash of light in all of his snowflakes. It is blinding for a mere fraction of a second only. Any who witness even a single one of the snowflake flashes will be captured by Jiten. From then on, Kouhai is able to manipulate what they feel in their sense of touch alone, inducing anything from intense pain to falsified feelings of touch, wind, and the like. Only those with superior reiatsu strength can guard against this, or with a 3 in illusion resist. (2 with equal reiatsu strength also works.) To break it however requires 200 reiatsu each time, while to activate it requires the same.
Kinen - A more cunning technique of Kouhai's, this allows him to resonate his snowflakes with all nearby enemies. In this way, any enemy within five meters of a snowflake at the time that this technique is activated will "resonate" with the snowflakes, which will read their minds and alter the current illusions to best suit what would torment the victim. This makes the snowflakes all the deadlier, as they learn the victim's fears, goals, likes, dislikes, general personality type, and the most significant events and people of their history. Kouhai himself also gains this information as a result, and is a master of playing with it. This costs 200 reiatsu to activate as well.
Akkei - This is one of Sonken Kouhai's most lethal techniques. This is used to subjugate the powers of the opponent and dominate it. When Kouhai's blade makes contact with any part of an opponent's power, then the following happens. Usable only on Bount dolls and Zanpakuto. Bount dolls and Zanpakuto spirits will be totally dominated by this, and forced to experience instinctive fear or worse. This fear is coupled with doubt. With these two feelings felt so strongly, the doll or Zanpakuto will instantly reseal. This can also be used against Arrancar, whose animalistic instincts will instantly be triggered. In fact, it is worst for Arrancar, who themselves experience the fear and doubt to such a degree that they may give up on the fight, in addition to their powers resealing. Now, it is a simple matter to reactivate powers. While those of superior class or reiatsu strength can negate this technique entirely, those who can't negate it can still reactivate their powers, if they pay the reiatsu cost. Unfortunately, the cost for using powers increases by 50% with each new reactivation, and anyone 2+ classes beneath Kouhai cannot reactivate to begin with. This means only those up to one class below him can reactivate. And it gets more and more expensive. This is Kouhai's most powerful Shikai technique, and costs 200 reiatsu each time he activates it.
It is always worth nothing that ONLY illusion resist and reiatsu strength can do anything against Kouhai's illusions. Skills such as strength of will won't even power through them.
Bankai Overall:
The ability of the Bankai is very similar to the Shikai. This time however, there are billions of blood drops falling from the sky in a horrible rain. Each drop contains a vicious illusion, but the illusions are all very short and torturous. Far shorter than the ones from Shikai. Essentially, the foe will receive all of the feelings of that illusion almost all at once, and this will happen over and over hundreds of painful illusions, eventually just leading to death because of an overload. All of the illusions are 50 years worth of constant torture of one particular kind, but moving in fast motion. That 50 years of torture will be experienced in fast forward, and will be something like 5 hours. In reality, a split second will have passed. This will happen with ALL of the rain drops, which means that thousands of years of pain will happen in an instant.
But the ability of this Zanpakuto is subjugation of will. Therefore, what is scary about the Bankai is not the illusions contained in the rain droplets, but another special property of the rain droplets. As they fall, they make sound. Many opponents will believe they should avoid being touched by the rain droplets, but in reality, it is the sound created that is most dangerous. Each time the opponent hears one of the rain droplets pitter patter, they are struck by a certain ability. Each sound is an illusory negotiation with the opponent's mind, wherein the sound travels in quickly and tricks the mind into enhancing the opponent's senses.
Every post within Kouhai's Bankai, the opponent's senses double, except for sight and touch. Sight gains no increases, and touch actually multiplies by four times with each post. While at first this may seem like an advantage, opponents will soon find that they cannot use this. After a while, it is too much for their body. They are not used to it, and it is incredibly difficult to differentiate between feelings, and take advantage of the sensory. Worse, it is extremely easy to overload those afflicted by this as well. And, the effect of the growth seems to occur with the pitter patter of rain droplets. Therefore, while in the rain, the opponent will literally feel their senses going out of whack. A sinister Bankai, indeed.
Below are the techniques exclusive to Bankai:
Sujimichi - This technique causes all falling raindrops to emit Kouhai's reiatsu to capture his opponents. Anyone within a meter of any of the droplets will be captured by this technique upon activation. All caught within this illusory ability, which costs 400 reiatsu to activate, will find that Kouhai can suddenly control their sense of pain, and create feelings of agony in them, or otherwise remove the pain from a wound so that it goes unnoticed. This can be broken the same way as all the other previously mentioned techniques.
Shijou - Activation requires 400 reiatsu. Allows Kouhai to manipulate the memories of anyone that has been touched by any of his rain droplets. There are limitations to this manipulation. He can neither erase nor add memories. He cannot add new figures or remove figures. His only purpose is to modify existing memories. Change how things happened. All major events must stay the same, but he can change relations to other people, and he can alter the timing of certain events. This can be useful sometimes. It also allows Kouhai to learn all of the victim's memories to begin with.
Touzoku - This is potentially Kouhai's most lethal technique. Activated for 400 reiatsu when Kouhai holds the Zanpakuto of another person, either Vizard or Shinigami, he can seduce its spirit with illusions, and then subsequently subjugate them with his reiatsu. From there, he coaxes them almost instantly into permitting him to use their powers. Essentially, Kouhai can use the Zanpakuto of other Shinigami if this technique is activated.

Necessary Backstory: [Insert Below]
Sonken Kouhai thus far is known to have once been the Vice Captain of Squad 12. He was a researcher there for the longest time, and left during Bokuga Sayuri's earliest days as the Squad 12 Captain. Sonken Kouhai's research was all taken with him, and thus it is unknown what he discovered in Squad 12 during his time there. What is however known is that his intellect is very highly regarded, and he possesses many secrets which one day will help him. He first appeared in Las Noches shortly after the defeat of Azeru Cho, and seized the throne in an imitator-like fashion. Using the remnant of the Hougyoku, which resulted in its destruction, he altered the very evolutionary system of Hueco Mundo itself, making Shinigamification a natural event in Hueco Mundo. Thus, the new generation of Arrancar were born, and he was able to find his new, and deadlier Espada. Up until this point Las Noches has had many conflicts with Soul Society, but no enormous war has broken out. Kouhai for over a decade has remained fairly quiet.
Since then, however, some recordings have been discovered of his Squad 12 experiments, and it has become well known that he is a genius beyond any other. Sonken Kouhai once succeeded in the creation of an Arrancar simply by assimilating spirit particles in a test tube. This is a feat that no other has ever been able to replicate, even with bits and pieces of his research. Perhaps Sonken Kouhai is an unsurpassable genius that none will ever rival. It is also realized that since taking the throne, Kouhai was able to rebuild the Hougyoku, more efficiently than Azeru Cho or Urahara. It appears he is able to surpass even their intellect, and knows a superior Hougyoku formula.

{Non-Release Techniques - Note: All techniques are at the Mastered level}
Technique Name: Magyaku
Technique Class: 1
Technique Type: Other
Usable By: Sonken Kouhai Only
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Cost: 100 Reiatsu
Description:
This is a rather dangerous technique if used right. From out of his palm, Kouhai generates a transparent, constantly rippling cube. The cube takes up a total of 20 cubic feet in front of Kouhai's palm. Inside of the cube, time reverses 5 seconds.
How to Use:
Aim the palm forward, and release the technique.
Drawbacks:
Unknown Drawback. Surmised drawback by spectators is an intensive drain on Kouhai's life force, and a gradual corrupting of his soul and Reiatsu which one day may result in his body falling apart. Whether or not this is the true drawback has yet to be confirmed. Other surmised drawbacks exist.

Technique Name: Soulbind: Heishi Mitsukai
Technique Class: 4
Technique Type: Shinigami Technique
Usable By: Sonken Kouhai Only
Technique Element: Variable
Technique Cost: 150 Reiatsu
Description:
A special technique used by Sonken Kouhai, this sealed version of his Zanpakuto, Heishi Mitsukai, allows him to protect hallucinations and illusions within ten meter proximity of himself. This means onlookers can witness illusions happening within ten meters of him, and those that approach and actually enter his ten meter radius will find that he can command all of their senses as if part of an illusion, and dominates them via a complete hypnosis style ability. If they are not within his ten meter range, then the only thing he can manipulate is sight either of himself or things around or near him.
How to Use:
Unlike most users of Soulbind, Sonken Kouhai has not forged a "total partnership" with his Zanpakuto. Rather, he has become one with his Zanpakuto already, having dominated it and completely absorbed its spirit, making it merely a mindless, zombified extension of his own. This means that he simply activates Soulbind at will, rather than requesting permission from his Zanpakuto.
Drawbacks:
No Zanpaktou techniques can be used during Soulbind; only the overall ability is enabled. Also, no other stage of Release can be used for the Zanpaktou that Soulbind is active with. This also causes spiritual damage to both the user and the Zanpaktou; the user is literally consuming their own soul and making it perfectly align with their material bodies as well, which tears at and weakens the spirit. Excessive use of more than twice in a thread without extended rest will leave a Shinigami comatose or kill him.

Technique Name: Zetsubou Ohara
Technique Class: 0
Technique Type: Other
Usable By: Sonken Kouhai Only
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 1200 Reiatsu
Description:
Sonken Kouhai's ultimate, most powerful technique outside of release. This allows him to create a field around himself the size of the entire dome of Las Noches. Kouhai is the center of this field, which is merely a sphere of influence that has no physical borders, and therefore can be neither destroyed nor interfered with. Within this field, any negative detriment that would happen against Kouhai or his allies is reversed and the opposite instead happens. If one were to try to reduce Kouhai's stats by 50%, then instead they would increase by 50%. If one were to attempt to restrict his powers, they would only restrict their own and not Kouhai's. A seal would make him more powerful. A poison would give him more stamina and life. This is the ultimate technique of rejuvenation and life. This works for Kouhai and all those recognized by him as allies. Even the likes of mind control fail, as those who attempt it will in fact give Kouhai control of their minds.
Worse, any beneficial effects that enemies of Kouhai's attempt to use will also backfire. Should an enemy attempt to raise their own stats by 50%, they will instead drop by 50%. This repeats with any boost up to the minimum limit of 25% in a stat. Speeding up attacks will only slow them down. Purging poison will only accelerate it. Increasing stamina will only decrease it. Etc.
This technique is active 10 posts at a time.
How to Use:
Instantaneous activation.
Drawbacks:
For use of this technique, Kouhai's soul splits in half and one half dies, causing not only his lifespan to shorten, but his reiatsu to fluctuate and become unstable within his body. This usually causes incredible pain, and oftentimes Kouhai cannot continue to fight if he uses this technique for too long due to stress and strain.

Technique Name: Hado #4: Byakurai (Pale Lightning)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: Thunder
Technique Description and Effects: The user fires a concentrated, powerful lightning bolt from their finger that pierces a target.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand at the target.
Incantation and Effect: "Arise god of thunder! Awake mother of storms! Unleash the lighting on the sinners!" When the incantation is spoken, the Reiatsu Strength used to determine the power of Byakurai is increased by 10%. (i.e. 100 Reiatsu Strength is treated as 110.)
Technique Name: Hado #11: Tsuzuri Raiden (Bound Lightning)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: Thunder
Technique Description and Effects: Electric current flows through any object the user touches and is able to lead electricity, damaging any target that is in contact with the object the current runs through. This lasts for one post, but by paying the cost of the spell a second time, the duration is increased to two posts.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and touch an object, channeling electricity through it.
Incantation and Effect: Incantation unknown. When the incantation is spoken, the number of active posts this is used for is doubled. (With maximum cost, this can be up to four posts.)
Technique Name: [Hado #50: Mabarashi Dangan (Fast Bullet)]
Class: 4
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
The user creates a sphere of super-condensed, white reiatsu at the end of their finger or sword around the size of a baseball. This kidou is noticeably small and it possesses a significant piercing power equivalent to twice the user’s (If the incantation is used). Not only does it pierce defenses extremely well, but it travels at quite a vicious speed, making it very difficult to dodge. When this kidou comes into contact with an object it will detonate into an explosion that sends hundreds of super-condensed reiatsu shards everywhere in its immediate vicinity. The blast radius of this attack is around eight yards. But the true power of this ability resides in the kido’s aura. To those with less than 50 in Energy Sensory, Maboroshi Dangan will be completely invisible and soundless. This is a technique designed to take advantage of those who don’t have any ability to sense reiatsu.
How to use technique:
Aim palm at target and fire.
Technique Drawbacks
The traditional reiatsu cost for the technique is its drawback. Additionally, it is difficult for those with low energy sensory to use since they cannot keep track of it.
Incantation and Effect:
Incantation increases reiatsu strength by 25%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength worth 100 is instead worth 125.) ("Shoot forth from the heavens and find your mark. Soundlessly. Cautiously. Swiftly. Make yourself known by your bite and curse those who condemn you.")
Made By: [Rave Haretsu]
Technique Name: [Hado #53: Surasorutoiera (Area Thrust)]
Class: 4
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Surasutoeria is much like an advanced form of Hado # 1, Sho. However, instead of being a directional thrust in the direction indicated, it is an area thrust, pushing away from all directions out from the user. When learned, this Hado pushes objects away at a speed equal to the user’s reiatsu strength. When it is mastered, the speed is double that of the user’s reiatsu strength.
How to use technique:
The user need only state the name and push outwards with their hands.
Technique Drawbacks
Because this Hado pushes things in all directions, the user will be forced upwards by the opposite force of the Hado hitting the ground beneath them and being reflected back. It isn’t possible to avoid this because the reiatsu strength needed to push the entirety of the world would be in the millions. Also, if an object has a greater reiatsu strength or a greater strength than that of the user's reiatsu strength then the object will not be affected.
Incantation and Effect:
Increases reiatsu strength of the push by 25%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength worth 100 is worth 125 instead.) ("Gods of Balance, Gods of Change, I summon thee. Under my feet do I place your tennants and in my hands to I place your might. With thy power do I smite my enemies!")
Made By: Kyomei
Technique Name: Hado #54: Haien (Abolishing Flames)
Class: 4
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: Fire
Technique Description and Effects: Despite its name, this Kido does not at first seem fire-based like many Kido. Instead, upon release the spell releases a burst of violet energy that despite its size is very powerful; on contact, it incinerates the area hit, burning it away into ash. The original blast is roughly the size of a large basketball.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.
Incantation and Effect: "Oh flame of purification, withering heat that purges uncleanliness! Restore the image of man to that of perfection, burn away the impurities that mar its making! Ashen earth, purple sun, rising flames! Arise and purify!" With the incantation, this spell gets a 25% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 125 with incantation).
Technique Name: [Hado #86: Soukahou (Eternal Flare)]
Class: 2
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: Fire
Technique Description and Effects:
Soukahou (蒼火砲, Blue Fire Cannon) is an advanced hadou based off of "Sokatsui" that requires a blood sacrifice to activate. Just like how the Kuchiki is well versed in Sokatsui, the Kanzaki specializes in this kidou. Instead of firing one single burst of blue fire at the opponent, it creates a concentrated mass of blue flames around the user's hand that can burn or incinerate anything that fire touches. This can be used for enhanced melee as a flaming fist but that is not its main function. The main ability of this hadou is automatic firing of blue flares, similar to a blue fire machine gun.
Once this is activated, the user can fire blasts of "Sokatsui" out of the hand engulfed in blue flames as many times as the user wishes. In other words, infinite ammunition. The fastest firing rate of this technique is about 600 blasts per minute. When this technique is mastered, the user can use this in many creative ways such as applying the concentration of blue flames to a weapon, fire multiple blasts simultaneously like a shotgun, creating explosive blasts out of the user's hand, or even change the color of the flames to the user's preference. Once this technique is activated, it doesn't end until the user dies or wills its end.
How to use technique:
Activate the technique. From there, aiming and firing is all that is required.
Technique Drawbacks
400 reiatsu is consumed upon activation. The blue flames are extremely hot and it will cause slight burns to the user's hand for every post this is active. Generally, the user will have first degree burns by first the 5 posts. If the arm is severed, the blue flames will go out of control and will engulf the user whole if the one fails to defend against it.
Incantation and Effect:
Reiatsu strength increases by 35% for use of incantation. (I.E. Reiatsu strength of 100 is instead worth 135.) ("An eye for an eye, A tooth for a tooth. Evil to fight evil. Fire to fight fire.
Hath withstood pain to create many flames of vengeance. And yet, those ephemeral works of art will never be remembered.
I hearby offer my blood in an indestructible contract with the flame of atonement.")

Technique Name: Hado #90: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)
Class: 2
Technique Type: Kido
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: A brutal spell, this Kido forms a box of black energy around a target, which is then pierced by dozens of energy "spears", lacerating the one inside from head to toe. Its appearance and function is reminiscent of a common magician's trick, as well as certain torture devices used during the Spanish Inquisition. Escape from within is nearly impossible, causing those trapped by it to face certain doom. It is virtually unbreakable from the inside, except by a vastly superior spiritual strength, and with a technique class 2 or above. This is also considered impossible to dodge at point blank range.
How to use technique: Speak the spell and point hand towards the target.
Incantation and Effect: “Seeping crest of turbidity. Arrogant vessel of lunacy! Boil forth and deny! Grow numb and flicker! Disrupt sleep! Crawling queen of iron! Eternally self-destructing doll of mud! Unite! Repulse! Fill with soil and know your own powerlessness!” With the incantation, this spell gets a 40% increase in Reiatsu Strength (i.e. if Reiatsu Strength is 100, this is treated as 140 with incantation).
Technique Name: Bakudō #9: Geki (Strike)
Technique Class: 7
Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō.
Usable By: Kidō-users.
Technique Element: Light.
Technique Cost: 25 Reiatsu.
Description: Fires a red light from the caster's fingertips, not unlike a Hollow's Cero, though far smaller and weaker. Anyone caught in the red light will be paralyzed for one post. The paralysis can be shrugged off with equal reiatsu strength, but this takes a few seconds. Superior reiatsu strength of 25% or higher will allow a very fast removal of Geki's effects. 50% or higher makes it instantaneous.
How to Use: Requires the caster to aim, not unlike use of any Hado technique.
Incantation: Incantation causes technique's size to double, but does not include any reiatsu strength bonuses. ("Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat!")
Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Bakudō #11: Haihin (Waste)
Technique Class: 7
Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō.
Usable By: Kidō-users.
Technique Element: N/A.
Technique Cost: 25 Reiatsu.
Description: This Bakudō is unlike any other Bakudō ever made. Instead of being used on another person, this Bakudō is designed to be used on an enemy’s weapon. Once cast, this Bakudō will create a small curse marking somewhere on the target’s weapon. Only in the instance of releases that merge the weapon with the body will this mark appear on a person. So, for example, this will appear on a released Arrancar or Akki since they lose their weapon in release. The seal appears to be a swastika, pitch black in color. But what does this Kidō do and how does one go about breaking this spell? Well, it’s simple really. This Bakudō is one that is designed to break. In fact, the whole point of this Kidō is to be broken by the opponent.
The method that one takes to break this Kidō spell is to simply use one of your weapon’s abilities. Basically any technique that isn’t listed in a character’s overall ability sections will shatter this Bakudō. But how exactly does this Bakudō hinder an opponent? Well, through the process of shattering the Bakudō, the technique they used to break it will be nullified. Meaning that whatever reiatsu or energy they used to activate the ability that shattered the Bakudō is lost. This Bakudō essentially makes the next Zanpakutō technique they use never happen. Other than that, this Bakudō is useless. One could fight an entire battle without using a single Zanpakutō or release technique and not even be aware they were being affected by this Bakudō.
How to Use: Requires physical contact with the adversary's weapon.
Incantation: Creates two markings, to negate the next two techniques. ("Stun them all with your blinding deception. Bite the night with your unfailing jaws and cause your enemies to cower in fear.")
Drawbacks: Can only be used once every five posts in addition to there being a reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Bakudō #26: Kyakko (Bending Light)
Technique Class: 6 - 15 TTP
Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō.
Usable By: Kidō-users.
Technique Element: Light.
Technique Cost: 50 Reiatsu/post.
Description: Hides the target from sight, by bending light. The spell has the ability to mostly hide the presence and reiatsu of the user or specified object. Those with high level Energy Sensory will be able to detect the user. Costs 50 reiatsu per post to maintain. Users can be sensed by radar techniques (Pesquis) and with an Energy Sensory of one-tenth their Reiatsu Strength or greater. Users can be seen as if Kyakko has not been cast at all by those with Energy Sensory superior to their Reiatsu Strength, or those with marginally (triple or higher) higher Reiatsu Strength.
How to Use: A basic speaking of the technique name as well as a hand motion over the caster's own body suffices.
Incantation: The incantation increases the reiatsu strength behind the technique by 15%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength valued at 100 is instead weighed in at 115.) ("Arise, God of Shadows. Flee, God of Light. Make the cloak of darkness cover the earth and mask the heavens with your might.")
Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Bakudō #61: Rikujokoro (Six Rods Prison of Light)
Technique Class: 4
Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō.
Usable By: Kidō-users.
Technique Element: Light.
Technique Cost: 150 Reiatsu.
Description: Summons six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a target's midsection from all sides, holding them in place. This technique also results in total paralysis, and can even suspend targets in mid-air.
How to Use: This requires the user's eyes to be focused on the target, and their casting hand to be aimed at the target as well. The six beams will then close in, but those who are quick enough or instinctive enough will be able to dodge.
Incantation: The incantation increases the reiatsu strength of this technique by 25%. (I.E. Reiatsu strength of 100 is instead worth 125.) ("Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six!")
Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Bakudō #64: Tousei Takai (Intoxication High)
Technique Class: 4
Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō.
Usable By: Kidō-users.
Technique Element: Air.
Technique Cost: 150 Reiatsu.
Description: Tousei Takai is a flexible Bakudo, one that is used to ensnare and warp the mental abilities of the target that is caught within it. When used, this technique allows the user to release a constant fog of a red-tinted gas from their mouth until this Kido ends, which is two posts after its initial use. This fog will constantly spread wherever they go, leaving a trail behind them that will hover low to the ground, flying no higher than thirty feet above the ground at its peak. However, this cloud will remain for an extended period of time, namely a full five posts once the initial duration of this technique ends. The fact that this technique remains for such a long time, and can cover a fair area depending on how much the user moves around, makes this a very versatile and broad-spreading technique.
But what exactly does this cloud do? It fogs the mind. The victim has a hard time focusing once they are within this cloud, their vision blurring and their head spinning. This is just from the first breath, causing a fair amount of disorientation right away. But it gets worse the longer one is exposed to the cloud. After the second post of exposure, the victim loses their balance, causing them to stumble and easily collapse, making step techniques risky to use. Additionally, their vision begins to fade slightly, tinting everything a faded gray-red to further add to their blurred sight. A third post makes the victim unable to stand between the dizzying spinning sensation, their balance completely vanishing, and a sudden lack of focus that causes their mind to flit from one subject to another. Four posts, and the victim is practically a zombie, eyes drawn to the nearest shiny or pretty-colored object while they stumble around, unable to even walk thanks to their inability to balance. Battle Focus and Strength of Will can delay the effects of these symptoms, adding a single post per symptom for every 2 combined ranks in these skills (i.e. a 1 in both would cause the initial disorientation at post 2, balance and faded vision at post 3, and loss of balance at post 4, as the combined total is two ranks.)
The user is immune to this technique, as it is infused with their Reiatsu, and it can be blown away with a technique with a superiority of two classes or 25% higher Reiatsu Strength than the user's. Wind-based attacks, however, can blow this away with some ease, though the smoke is constantly being emitted, which can neutralize a single wind attack.
How to Use: Speak the incantation, and cast the spell. As long as the mouth remains open, smoke will continue to pour from it. Move around to spread the smoke over a large area.
Incantation: The smoke can be spread for an additional two posts upon use of the incantation, and the cloud's duration is doubled to ten posts after the spreading ends. (“Breathe in the mists of ambrosia, feel the mists fill your mind. Know the world, let it know you; spin to the ground like a dandelion tuft, stare at the sky and truly wonder at the nature of the stars.”)
Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost. Besides that, there are a few other drawbacks. First off, this technique is ineffective against opponents who can get above it, having a maximum height limit of thirty feet above a solid surface. Additionally, it can affect allies who are caught in the cloud, making this a double-edged sword. Finally, it takes a while for the strongest effects to kick in, meaning that the victims must be contained within the technique constantly to make full use of the effects.

Technique Name: Bakudō #81: Danku (Splitting Void)
Technique Class: 2 - 180 TTP
Technique Type: Kidō - Bakudō.
Usable By: Kidō-users.
Technique Element: N/A.
Technique Cost: 600 Reiatsu.
Description: Creates a clear, very high and wide barrier of reiatsu instantaneously in front of the user. Can be used to block reiatsu attacks, low level physical attacks, and any Kido from numbers 1-89, though this is also still dependent on the user's reiatsu strength.
How to Use: This can be cast with mental thought, with hand motions, or with naming it. This requires no special movements for casting.
Incantation: The strength of the technique goes up 40% from incantation. (I.E. Reiatsu strength valued at 100 is instead valued at 140 during incantation.) "Barrier of dust, shield of north, protector of Men! Arise from ashes and reveal our weakness. Dissolve into air and hide our sins! On altars of greed we call you. In graves of virtue we worship you. Bind, scatter, reduce to ash! Cripple, crush, dissolve!"
Drawbacks: Reiatsu cost.

Technique Name: Advanced Air Ground
Class: 7
Technique Type: Spiritual Technique
Technique Description and Effects:
This is a technique designed especially for breakdancing and parkour, utilizing a more advanced version of air ground. While in a terrain where air ground exists, the user can create more complex surfaces like air walls, air ceilings, air ledges and even an air push. This allows the user to perform handstands and windmills on air as if it were normal ground or even stand upside-down on air as if gravity were reversed. The air push makes the air ground very elastic so that the user can jump higher. It allows for slight movement even when restrained by a Bakudō.
For a cost of twenty-five Reiatsu, the user will be able to momentarily cast an "air ground" on areas such as in Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, allowing the user to "double jump" or cast Shunpo in mid-air. If this technique is mastered, the user will be able to create air grounds that last for as long as a single post. This can be used in creative ways to improve acrobatics and visual impressiveness.
Drawback: No drawback.

Technique Name: Konshin (Jamming)
Technique Class: 3 - 80 TTP
Technique Type: General Shinigami - Kido.
Usable By: Shinigami, Vizard, Rogues.
Technique Element: Sound.
Technique Cost: Varies.
Description: This is a very useful technique for any Shinigami to have, and is quite useful in shutting down Arrancar Pesquis and techniques of the same line. Simply put, this is a technique to disrupt, distort, and distract anyone using a Sensing Technique, such as Pesquis. The user of this technique sends out a unique Spirit Particle vibration that causes noise resembling static to be heard in the minds of whoever uses a sensing spell. The static is deafening, roaring loud, and will disorient and confuse anyone who tries to listen to it for too long. Due to Spirit Particle interference, regular Energy Sensory is affected as well. This comes in the form of creating energy doubles, blurs, and the like. The jamming field's size is dependent on the user's Reiatsu Strength: 100 is an Eighth of a Mile, 200 is a Quarter of a Mile, 400 is Half a Mile, 800 is a Mile, and so on and so on.
How to Use: Release a large amount of Reiatsu into the air, interfere with the Spirit Particles, and concentrate.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: To use this technique, the user must maintain a high level of focus on their task; a few distractions will cause this spell to fail. Furthermore, this technique requires a Reiatsu Upkeep to keep it active, equal to that of the technique's original cost. However, upkeep increases by 50% every three posts this is kept active. This is a technique best used with someone else to help guard you. and to take advantage of the jamming's effect. Furthermore, if the enemy's senses and Energy Sensory combined are equal to or greater than 1/5th of the user's RS, then they can penetrate the technique with some effort. However, the user's position is still present, even while using the technique. Sort of like a signal beacon.

Technique Name: Secret Art: Kido Fusion
Technique Class: 2 - 180 TTP
Technique Type: General Shinigami - Kido.
Usable By: Shinigami, Vizard, Rogues.
Technique Element: Varies.
Technique Cost: Varies.
Description: This Technique allows the user to fuse two or more kido together before they are fired, making their arsenal more varied and creative for what spell they need at a given moment. This is the ultimate mastery of kido, and thus needs one of two requirements. Either the user must be a Technique Master and have 4 SKP in kido skills, or they must have spent 7 SKP in kido skills, such as kido itself and Mental Incantation. The Analysis Skill also adds to that SKP amount, since the user is able to analyze and deconstruct kido at a conceptual level. If they are not a Technique Master, who inherently have the ability to replicate techniques they see and understand, they must also be trained by someone who knows this technique.
But what exactly -is- kido Fusion? Put simply, it is the ability to borrow parts of two kido in order to mash them together in the way that the user needs. This is done by a system of "Form" and "Effect". All kido can be broken down into those two categories. They have physical shapes, and they have effects. For example, Hado #4: Byakurai has the Form of a Beam and the Effect of the Electrical element. Some kido can have more than one effect, since some are complicated, and the user can borrow which ones they need. Elements are always an option for the user to borrow.
But what do you mean borrow? Mash them together? Put simply, the user takes a Form, and at least one Effect, and combines them. Byakurai + Sho could make an electrical projectile. It could not make an electrical projectile that pushes, since Sho is donating its form. Exceptions will be included later when costs are described. Basically, Sho donates its Form, which is a small projectile, and takes on the element from Byakurai. It could also create a piercing projectile, since Byakurai do pierce. The flexibility is what makes this technique versatile and strong. When figuring out Class for clash purposes, the user may choose which class is dominant. So if you fuse a Class 5 and a Class 7, the result may be Class 7 or Class 5.
If this technique is Mastered, then the user can combine more than two kido together. This is done by multiple kido contributing Effects to one Form. So a Fusion of Sho (Form), Byakurai, and Shakkaho could be a small electrical projectile that explodes on contact with something. Or a Fusion of Sho, Byakurai, Shakkaho, and Tsuzuri Raiden (Form) could be a wave of electrical force that pushes things away and explodes. The combinations become much crazier when the technique is mastered.
But what about crazy high leveled kido that become so ridiculously overpowered when they are fused? Can you just imagine Sharknado being fused with Soukahou to fire infinite tornados of sharks?? That is a serious possibility, but there are limitations to this technique that avoid that amount of overpowered techniques being fused. Every Class of kido has a point value. For Class 8 it is 0, all the way up to Class 0 which is 8 points. The User's Class is what determines how many points they have to use. A class 1 character can't fuse anything into a Class 1 kido that isn't a Class 8 kido, for example. A class 1 character could, however, fuse 7 Class 7 techniques into one mega attack, though it would still be Class 7 for clash purposes. Mastering this technique grants one extra point, however Class 0 kido can still not be fused with anything else. Due to giving up release in order to master techniques, Technique Masters inherently have 1 more point to work with for their fusions.
Class 7 Technique: 1 Point
Class 6 Technique: 2 Points
Class 5 Technique: 3 Points
Class 4 Technique: 4 Points
Class 3 Technique: 5 Points
Class 2 Technique: 6 points
Class 1 Technique: 7 points
Class 0 Technique: Cannot be fused
Class 7 Character: 1 Point
Class 6 Character: 2 Points
Class 5 Character: 3 Points
Class 4 Character: 4 Points
Class 3 Character: 5 Points
Class 2 Character: 6 points
Class 1 Character: 7 points
Class 0 Character: 8 points
Mastered Technique: + 1 points
Technique Master: +1 points
How to Use: Mentally command it to happen.
Incantation: N/A.
Drawbacks: Obviously there are Drawbacks to using so many kido like this in ways they were not designed to be used. The first Drawback is simple. Any and all drawbacks that are associated with the technique are inflicted on the user, no matter how small a part of the kido is used. If you fuse Sharknado into something in order to do nothing more than give it the joke element of Shark, then the limb that fires that technique will receive cuts. If the effect of a kido is caused by an action, such as Baundo Zetsumei's effect of multiplying -when- it changes direction, then the effect of multiplying cannot be added unless it comes with the added "when it changes direction". The -only- exception to this is situational drawbacks. Situational Drawbacks are more like limitations. For example, "Kiss of New Breath" is a Kaido that cannot be used on yourself because you cannot kiss yourself. This is a limitation, not a drawback. By fusing this kido into another medium, you would be able to administer it to yourself at possibly reduced efficiency.
Now for Cost. The cost of using this technique is equivalent to each part of the technique. So fusing two Class 7 techniques will put you down 25 reiatsu each, for a total of 50 reiatsu lost. It is also physically and spiritually demanding to fuse techniques. While Technique Masters and those with a 4 in kido might be able to fuse much more, even they will start to become weary and fatigued by fusing to their max amount of points frequently. For kido, Bakudo in particular, that are considered "auto-hits", like Haihin, when fused into anything the auto-hit property is considered neither an Effect nor part of the Form, and is simply lost in the fusion.

Technique Name: Soul Release: Owari no Mitsukai
Technique Class: 0
Technique Type: Other
Usable By: Sonken Kouhai Only
Technique Element: None
Technique Cost: 1200 Reiatsu
Description:
Unlike a regular Shinigami, Kouhai has forcibly subjugated his Zanpaktou spirit, breaking it and bending it to his absolute will. As a result, this technique is not created by merging with his Zanpakatou spirit, but devouring it entirely, making it a part of himself. This grants him a large number of bonus effects as his Zanpaktou’s energy reshapes and empowers his body, allowing him to use his abilities at a heightened level that makes him truly frightening.
After activation, Kouhai gains the following alterations to his Bankai:
Additionally, Kouhai’s Bankai techniques are altered as well:
Finally, Kouhai receives several personal bonuses and changes to his body:
How to Use:
Learning Soul Release is extremely difficult. Not only must the user be class 0, but they can only learn it through training threads. This cannot be learned in PVP, Adventures, or CIUs. It can be learned only through training or joint training threads. Training for the technique first requires the user to find a fundamental truth about themselves, and then expand on it by searching their soul, and seeking out their greatest form. At that point, that form can be given shape and brought to reality, creating Soul Release.
Activating Soul Release is much the same as Bankai. Its activation creates an enormous column of reiatsu and steam, and blasts away incoming attacks. It also heals all current wounds on the user's body. When released, the atmosphere in the area becomes so tense it's as if a cataclysmic storm has arrived with the same sentient hostility as a wild beast. To activate Soul Release, however, requires the permission of the user's Zanpakuto spirit. It also can only be done from a Bankai state, and cannot be directly activated from a sealed or Shikai form. The user must actively ask their Zanpakuto spirit, who WILL refuse if a good, plausible reason is not given. The asking must be done while in a Bankai state. When activated, this technique not only aligns and synchronizes the soul and Zanpakuto, but actually releases them from inside the user and into the world. Hence, "Soul Release."
Soul Release lasts for 15 posts. Learning it also requires having maximum stat points and maximum skill points, as well as a 4 in at least one skill, as Soul Release requires dedication to one's sense of self.
Unlike Soulbind, which can be used even by Vizards communicating with their inner hollow rather than Zanpakuto spirit, Soul Release is unusable by Vizards, or by any who lack a Zanpakuto spirit. On the other hand, Vandenreich Bankai Steal cannot be used on Soul Release.

- In Bankai, Kouhai's voice resonates with a powerful hum which feels as if it resonates within the physical body, within the mind, and within the soul, all simultaneously. This makes everything Kouhai says almost impossible not to accept and believe, and makes him extremely convincing. Short of having a willpower related skill of 3, and equal Class to Kouhai, it is nearly impossible to shrug off any suggestions, or sometimes even commands that he delivers.
- Rain droplets continue to fall, and now in addition to enhancing senses, they also reduce sight. For the first three posts that Owari no Mitsukai is active, all victims will have their sight treated as if their Senses are halved each post. From there, that value decreased by 50 until the victim is at 25% of their maximum Senses.
- Anyone touched by a rain droplet will now experience the illusions contained in ALL the rain droplets.
Additionally, Kouhai’s Bankai techniques are altered as well:
- Sujimichi – This technique no longer costs Reiatsu, and in addition to controlling the victim’s sense of pain, it also allows Kouhai to freely manipulate their emotions.
- Shijou – This technique no longer costs Reiatsu, and in addition to manipulating the view of memories, this technique now allows Kouhai to insert himself into any memories in the means he chooses, altering them altogether as a result.
- Touzoku – This technique no longer costs Reiatsu, and instead of being required to hold the user’s Zanpaktou to use its abilities, Kouhai now only has to touch the Zanpaktou or an extension of it, such as a substance it creates.
Finally, Kouhai receives several personal bonuses and changes to his body:
- Kouhai now possesses six arms, and gains three feet in height. His eyes glow violet, and his hair becomes long and flowing. His skin also turns completely white, and he gains enormous wings which allow flight.
- Kouhai automatically receives a 4 in Battle Focus.
- Reiatsu and stamina costs are suspended for the duration of this technique.
- Kouhai gains an exceptionally, unparalleled intimidating aura, accompanied by gravitational pressure that can flatten anyone that isn't class 0. Anyone who is within this aura will feel as if they are naked in a blizzard, or worse.
