2300 Hours....
The woods remained still at night. Howling creatures from beyond the endless sea of trees gave what little life that roamed in its vast occupied space. Multiple areas to examine, endless decisions on which direction to take. And without caution one can lose their way or worse, to run into the creatures that come out to play. Harle found a good place for her operations base, or rather -their- new operations base. But -who- was it that the base was intended for, or better yet, why? All of those answers dwelled inside the head of the Squad 2 Captain, Harle Quin.
Clothed in a shroud of black robes the woman proceeded silently from branch to branch, careful with each step, caution to still the vibrating branches she landed on. With every step taken another review of her surroundings had to be taken. People could be following, people could be tracking her. All of the necessary precautions had to be done to insure the safety of the base and what it intelled. Patches of clothing that stuck high above the tree lines carried a faint scent that would lead other animals into numerous directions, and with it small pieces of fabric that have instilled with the captains's reiatsu to lure them away. All was needed before venturing further into the depths of the woods.
A bit further and Harle quickly found herself at the heart of her latest accomplishment, Tsunami's Headquarters. Months had gone by if not a year since the late Kenryoku had died. Harle had been taking the time for people and members to mourn for his passing before actually going about his funeral, which his fellow family members have been heartless to do yet. That will fall upon Harle to do nkw, but before that a little homage was needed. No. It was required. Which was the reason that Harle had to travel so far. The reasoning for why her presence was necessary at the base.
Upon entering the jester was immediately greeted by the Tsunami. Men and women who have pledged themselves to Kenryoku, a group of assassin's that he had created to take on the missions that were of the upmost importance. They were thr true Black Ops division. And now, Harle led them. "My lady, preparations will be ready as you requested. We shall be ready to move out soon enough." The Shinigami only offered a nod as her response before dismissing the individual. The masked man simply vanished with the rest of the assassins, melding into the dimly lit hallway while Harle found her way to her office.
Slick wooden planks decorated the large office. Aside from the pair of bamboo curtains on the other side and the low raise desk it was mostly empty. A single futon bed layer out that hadn't been used in days remained set toward the rear, while like the hallway the room was faint from the presence of light. Harle's legs escorted the woman to the desk to peer through the latest files that were gathered by the Tsunami members. The entire time the base was being constructed, through the funds that the members were able to steal from the gangs and other organizations that operated within the Rukon District, each member of the Tsunami was tasked with information gathering.
The latest reports were stacked on top within the folder. Inside were several documents that contained rumors and reports taken from the other divisions. But piloting several of those documents aside her eyes were fixated on some develops that have taken place with a certain gathering of nobles. That firm gaze of the Captain reviewing the details of what took place during the meeting of the heads. Not every detail was pieced together but some could be easily theorized and made truth. From what she could remember nobles operated with a give and take form of business. Either that or who held the biggest influence among the nobles.
This clearly pointed to the Kuichikis. With the amount of funding, members, land, and divisions that were already under their control, their ability to gather Intel and influence others was found to be quite frightening. More likely tbey were the ones who held more authority than any of the other noble families that were present. And that of course is what led to a decision that nearly crippled Squad 2. The transfer of their Special Operations division. That group that Captain Kenryoku procured and operated without fail, and above all it was offered over to the Shihoins. A family that assisted with numerous coups and have little strength aside from some members. Harle didn't mean to belittle them, after all her own Lieutenant is a member of their family.
She knew who was responsible for taking away something that belonged to Squad 2, and transferring it to another group. Sozen Kuichiki. Someone who is a Captain of another squad decided to meddle in the operations of another squad that he had no control or say over, and done something so heinous to Squad 2. Yes, Captain Kenryoku wasn't the most thrilling to be around nor the most pleasant considering his tastes. Still to this day, she could have sworn that he was gay or something. She'll never know that is for sure, but still. The action itself was a crime. A burst of anger filled hot magma in her veins just thinking about it. A few seconds later she managed to cool herself with a deep breath.
At the time Harle was only a Lieutenant when her Captain died. The cause of death was unknown, but something that Harle will have investigated, yet, Harle had been doing her job training the troops as well as maintaining the order between the Special division and Squad 2. Even beforr she knew it she could have led the entire Squad on her own, since her Captain had been absent for most of the time. Harle had shown that she was ready to take on the responsibility, although she had a rough time with the Academy. She giggled to herself at those fond memories.
Sozen offered property of Squad 2 form something in return for another thing, a deal that shouldnt have happened in the first place. No matter now, justice would return shortly for that. He fingers retraced back to the main reason why she was at the base to begin with. The rumors of traitors within the Gotei 13 rankings. At first Harle thought of them as minor nuisances that Kimiko's Squad would take care of. However, seemed as though nothing had changed. If something had been altered by the status quo, then more activity had arouse. The Shihoins were doing nothing despite their position and the power they'd received during the meeting of nobles. Nothing was being done about it.
But that wasn't her only wince of foul play behind the scenes. Oh no. What struck the Captain was the talk she had with Captain Kasumi'oji. Between themselves what was discussed was a strategy to defend the Seireitei should there have been an invasion of some sort. Yes yes there have been numerous times which Las Noches has been invading, which was all the reason why each squad was already suppose be prepared for. That was a necessity, and something which Harle had been training her Squad for ever since she was a Lieutenant. But the latest assault on their home came too sudden to be referred to as a coincidence. Oh no. It was as though Taiyo already kne... No. Not yet. Anyone who Taiholds spoke to could have had prior knowledge if not someone she knee could have given her that information. It was too early to tell.
Harle had never been one to lie still when something that amiss. If abyrhi ghee father taught her about magic was to be check every little detail before going on stage. And to her something was definitely out of place. Which was why Harle came to the base. The entire reason why she had been pushing the completion of the base and the training. Harle was going to push Kenryoku's creation even further. The door on the other side if the woman slid open to produce a mesenteric from its dark narrow opening, "My lady, all the preparations are done. We are ready to mobilize." the shrouded man commented.
Harle tucked the documents back into the small drawer and began to ready herself. "Alright zen. Gather everyone in ze main hall. I shall be there enough un moment." Harle ordered. No further exchange of words but slitter silence as the two went their separate ways to do what was needed. The clown stripped herself of her undergarments and robes. Instread, she tucked herself into her Kunoichi garmentd, which have been used rarely. The jesters cap tossed to the side that allowed her neck length hair to hang, but not for long. Just as quickly as they fell they were swiftly tied into a pair of pig tails. Strands of blonde highlights were added to conceal large portions of her natural hair color. Her face paint reconstructed with black eye liner darkened her lips and the edges of her eyes. She was ready.
As the Captain marched her way back down to the lobby of the base the small group of twenty assassins rose to their feets. Their faces concealed by black fabric and shadowed by hoods. Each one tracked their leader as she made her way to the front."Zis day marks ze begining of change for us all. Zis day in ze day zat will mark a new begining for Soul Society. Zis iz ze day that we take back what iz ours. Onwardz." The Captain announced to her team before slipping into the darkness of the woods. Without sound they moved as a single unit up toward the north, and to their begining.
What was there? The lands that would become the foundation of Tsunami. Beyond the walls of the Seireitei resides the lands that the Shihoins had obtained from the Kawadas during the deal, and the remaining lands that were under the Kawada jurisdiction. They were going to take them all before day broke out, or as much as they could. Yes. And just like a tsunami at night, they'll wash over them without a sound.
