Plotline: [Why go to Israel? The invitation received by everyone in the world who has spiritual powers. Somewhere underground in Israel, there is a convention of the spiritually aware. A gathering. A chance for everyone to meet everyone. Who sent the application? Unknown. But, people are attending. It's unlikely that the WAY TOO IMPORTANTs like Satsujun or Lord Callus will go, but we might see the likes of some other faces. But, just who else would have the resources for this sort of a gathering? We'll find out, along with some other nasty secrets hiding in the awful dark.]

Vannan's focus wasn't on the trees that he could see from the window in his father's office, nor was it at the small meadow past them that once was used as a training ground, no his focus was somewhere else. It was the letter he had gotten, while at first glance it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary what was written inside was. His name was used to grab his attention along side what he was, a quincy. There were only a handful of people who even knew what a quincy was and even less that he was one of them, yet here was a letter inviting him to go to a convention for spiritually aware beings.

One part of him wondered if he should go while the other was worried about how this person or persons knew about him and if they did, did they know of the things he did. The actions against the soul society and the accidental destruction of an oil platform. The last time he met with someone who knew his secret of being a quincy he was forced to join the Vandenreich, this time could be so much worse, however he wasn't the same as before. He was much stronger than he was three years ago. Even if he hated to admit it the Vandenreich had made him stronger, stronger than he could have been by himself. He didn't hate that, but he did hate the things he had to do to become that strong. Killing all those people, causing all that destruction all while putting on a smile not to draw suspicion to himself from his supervisors.

With a heavy sigh he made up his mind, he was going to this place to learn more about these people, but he wasn't going unprepared. Using a gate he left his diseased fathers office and traveled back to his room in the Vandenreich base where most of his gear was. He figured that most weapons would be taken at the doors so that ruled out him being able to take his guns, but that didn't mean he was out of options for other items. His gauntlets and the stealth cloak would be most useful for him. While they looked odd at first glance one couldn't tell that it was a weapon or that the cloak was special at all. He wore the cloak over his street clothing and slipped the gantlets on, but not before grabbing the ring Caesar had given him, he had never used it before,but maybe just maybe it would prove to be useful this time.

He took one last look at the things he had to see if there was something else he could use to protect himself. Guns,....ammo,...holsters,.... the vialis pills...no, nothing really useful.... wait... my sunglasses... I almost forgot. Reaching out he grabbed one of the many pairs of sunglasses he had and placed them over his face. With everything now gathered he took off for the gates with Tel Aviv, Israel as his destination. As the gate opened he felt as if something was off... something was different then all the times before as if this would be the last time he would see the Vandenreich base, the last time he would use the gate, the last time he was sure that his sister would be safe. “Pathetic I’m actually nervous about this?.... Fuck that I'm going to come back here and make sure that my carefree life is the same as before.” With those words said to himself he took a step into the gate and traveled through it to Tel Aviv.

The moment he stepped out of the gate he could feel the heat of sun hit him, instinctively he pulled the hood of the cloak over his head to shield him from the sunlight. He was dropped off a bit away from where the convention was being held and he could easily tell given the massive amount of spiritual pressure coming from that direction. Slowly he walked towards his destination, blending in with the people he vanished into the mass of people walking around the city. As he walked he drew in reiatsu just to be prepared for what was waiting inside if things got hostile.

Item Description:
This is a cloak created by the infamous Mr. Hat & Clogs and upgraded by the famous Kazura Uzaki designed to enhance the natural stealth capabilities of those with Reiatsu. It was inspired by the Lothlorien Cloaks from Lord of the Rings. Basically, it creates a field of Reiatsu around the user, masking them from site by blending them into the background, while simultaneously masking their spiritual pressure further. With added Reiatsu storage, channeling, and nullifying abilities, it goes beyond the abilities of the original cloak. With 1 point in Stealth, someone would need 200 in Senses or Energy Sensory to detect their presence. Each point in Stealth beyond the first adds 50 to the requirements.

It can only be used for 10 posts total in a thread, before becoming a normal cloak for the duration of the thread. To use, the user must give up 100 reaitsu for each post, and draw the cloak around them. Techniques up to Class 5 can be used while the cloak is being used, but Releases and techniques of Class 4 or higher cannot escape detection. Unfortunately, due to the delicate nature of the network of reiatsu storage and transfer, taking a direct physical blow to the cloak causes it to cease functioning at peak nature. The user will be able to be sensed with a flat 200 Senses or Energy Sensory, regardless of level of Stealth and their techniques. Obviously, something that exits the cloak such as a Quincy's arrow will no longer be hidden.

Item Description: The object takes the form of a sun yellow gem placed onto a dark blue ring. What this ring specializes in is that when worn, it imbues the reiatsu of the user with the “Curse of Icarus.” As long as the wearer places the ring onto the hand that draws the bow, the arrow itself will have the properties similar to the story of Icarus. What it does is it gives any generic energy bow one property. That property is where the legend of Icarus comes into place. Like Icarus, who flew too close to the sun ignited and burst into flames. This means when the arrow is exactly 1 feet away from the target, it will ignite and burn at the temperatures equal to the users' RS and has 3 posts to hit the actual target before it will dissipate and burn up. [Jem Carstairs]

It was six am; the sun was barely cresting over the city of Tokyo, Japan. In Tokyo international, in one of the first class and private jet lounges sat a point with long white hair. He was wearing a business suit looking very impeccable, but he was clearly uncomfortable in it. He was dressed in a white dress shirt with a steel grey vest and a white blazer, his tie was steel grey as well. He had white dress pants and brown leather dress shoes. His hair was pulled back into a brown leather throng and set down his back; he looked like a very bright junior executive at a large firm. This wasn’t far from the truth either, after all he was on a diplomatic meeting on behest of Kazura Uzaki.

As he looked out onto the runway, he was able to spot the sleek white jet that was pulling up. Jem was unsettled by the suit and its lack of familiarity, but he was absolutely terrified of flying in the plane. He stood up, picking up his carry-on bag. Attached to the strap was his omnimon plush doll, with his better judgment should he need to get into something smaller he would. But at the moment, he was focusing on not losing his cool. He walked out into the cool morning air and shivered, noticing the beads of sweat on his forehead had made him overall a bit colder than it had been previously. There was a baggage man who took his carry-on walking behind him as the door of the Jet slid up and he sat in one of the big plush seats.

“If you wouldn’t mind, can you close the windows please? I’m not the largest fan of flying.” The man nodded his head, and began to shut the windows. Jem could feel the plane beginning to taxi, and sunk lower into his plush chair. He was nervous, but it was all for naught as the plane ascended to cruising altitude quite easily. Jem clicked on one of the inflight movies, letting the background noise begin to lull him to sleep. Sleeping was the best option for long flights. It would also help with his Jet lag; he lacked the abilities of the Shinigami to portal to and from different parts of the world in little to no time at all. As his eyes fell closed, he found himself in almost a pensive, meditative state.

He was back to the glade, the sun shining down on him. Jem was sitting within the grass once more. The trees were warming his face. His nose was filled with the scents of flowers, his breathing even and relaxed. He felt the tension that had been in his body begin to fade, this was peaceful. The birds were singing, the water running through the stream. The breeze stirring his hair, he was enjoying himself. Times like these were rare, and he wanted to take full advantage of it. His breathing hitched when a cloud crept over the sun, the birds began to stop singing and he could feel a presence in his midst once again.

Looking across the glade, he could see the thicket of trees giving room for the shadow to begin to thicken and take the vague shape of a person. He was staring him down again; he could feel the ominous pressure within his mind. It called to him, questioning his strength in its silence, forcing its own strength upon him. Jem responded with his own strength, his strength of will was strong but he was not a paragon of conviction or valor and it showed. He wavered and within those cracks of doubt the shadow’s presence seeped in. He felt himself getting tired, tired within a dream? That was an odd concept indeed. However the more he fought his lethargy, the more he felt the presence of the shadow bearing down upon him.

Before he knew it, he was surrounded by smoke and fire. Screams could be heard, and elements were being used in a primal way across his field of vision. Lightning, Ice, and Fire were being hurled against a being of large height, but the figure simply laughed and black spores and reiastu would grab each element and melt it away. It was accompanied by a flitting shadow. His mind to addle to make it out, but it was a doll. It was a bount’s doll. It was one of the three from his past, the Bount Nakabakki come back to finish him. As he looked down he realized that he was in the little rag doll again, finish the job. No, he had never failed in the first place.

It was walking towards him and laughing before driving that horrible demonic hand through his cotton body and grabbing his pill. He could feel the evil spreading into him and Jem with all of his strength of will and fortitude began to scream. He was screaming as he felt his most intimate parts of himself violated, he was coming apart. Screaming he saw that the Nakabakki had changed shaped into a darker inverted version of him, smiling menacingly, enjoying every moment of Jem’s torture. He needed to wake up; he needed to realize that this was just a dream. Needed. To. Wake. Up.

Jem’s eyes flew open and he realized that it was evening, the sun was setting. There was an attendant next to him looking concerned. “Sir, are you alright?” Jem sat up and rubbed the sweat that was clearly on his brow. “Yes, I’m fine how much time do we have until we land?” The attendant looked at the digital clock behind Jem, “we’ll be landing in an hour sir.” Jem stood and walked to the bathroom, “Thank you.” He murmured. Getting into the bathroom, he began detangling his bed head and washing his face and applying deodorant. Gigai it seemed were truly lifelike.

Stepping back into his seat, the rest of his flight was uneventful. He’d even slept through their refueling in Istanbul. He watched the inflight movie until they began to descend; as they did he buckled himself up tight waiting to touch down. As soon as he felt that bump, he sighed and relaxed. The plane began to slow to a taxi and pull off the runway. He opened a window and looked out into the night sky, the convention should be starting in just a little while, and he would be cutting it close. As the plane rolled to a stop Jem stood up grabbing his carry-on and stepping off the plane, his luggage including his hunting gear would be sent on ahead to his hotel.

As he checked through customs he managed to cut through the crowds to the beginning, he was looking for a driver with his last name. ‘Carstairs’, would be on the sign. Honestly he was an oddity, and as soon as he realized it, he put his plush doll inside his carry on back to become much more inconspicuous. Mulling it through the crowd he needed to get to the hotel where the convention was being held, though he could already sense the incredible pressure and presence of reiastu in the city. It was massive, but not singular which gave it away as the place of the convention

"This gathering will be plentiful with the strong," Vannan had been advised upon his leaving. "It is in your best interest to make no enemies here." And go figure, right? A convention that hoped to host all of the human world's spirituals. This meant that those from Soul Society and Hueco Mundo had not been invited, but those who had been invited were Bount, Mod Souls, Failures, Fullbringers, and even Nakabakki and the occasional Saika. Among them were sure to be monsters. People sent in the stead of Satsujun or Lord Callus, or in other words diplomats and proxies.

Intel given to Vannan indicated that of the entire world's spiritual population, roughly two thirds had actually shown up. It was uncanny how many had actually come. Sure, a whole third was missing, but this still meant tens of thousands of the spiritually aware. Those who could shape the course of history, or undo it just as well. Some were meek. Some were mighty. And Vannan was somewhere in between, which was why being inconspicuous when he entered the actual gathering would be pretty important to his own chances of survival. Wandering the streets, he would see many clear signs for where to go.

Those of spiritual energy who were less apt at hiding it, or perhaps didn't care to, heading in a certain direction. Signs all around the city hidden to those without spiritual awareness which directed those with. Eventually Vannan would get there. But, while he wore a disguise for now over his Vandenreich outfit (the Vandenreich did, after all, have zero fans and thousands who hated them), he might notice that many did not hide allegiance. Various gangs of criminals did not hide tattoos or whatever give aways they had. Those who were from Xcution, for example. Perhaps it was a matter of an organization's strength. Who could afford to use their group's name as a symbol of their own?

Eventually, Vannan would arrive to a large office building, the interior of which was nice but nothing noteworthy. There, upon greeting the receptionist, he would be led to an elevator, which would take him far below what was expected. The buttons were normal, but the elevator operator pushed several buttons at once in a specific order, resulting in the elevator entering a special downward setting to bring Vannan and others down. As it opened back up, they would be at a sunless, underground cavern, and before them would stand a giant steel barrier with only a single, small door in it. In front of this door stood a large, looming man in a suit, like a guard or bouncer.

Upon Vannan's approach, he would gaze up and down at the Quincy. In a deep voice, he would state, "Race, strength level, purpose?" And after Vannan answered all of these, the guard would ask another question. "Demonstration?" He wanted Vannan to demonstrate what his power was. In other words, if Vannan told a lie about himself, the guard would instantly know based upon the demonstration. So, if Vannan had chosen to lie, then he might also choose to try and hide his full power. But, if this sort of precaution had been prepared in advance, then what might happen if he hid his power too?

Jem, meanwhile, would find himself in the back of a limousine, being driven by some sort of Israeli butler. Wasn't it lucky that Uzaki Enterprises had so much money? That money was a life saver. At any rate, that was where Jem would find himself. In the back of a limo, which drove through the streets of Tel Aviv, also on its way to the destined gathering. Uzaki intel had provided Jem with some intel on who might appear. About 2/3 of the spiritual population of the human world had appeared for this gathering, which already was an uncanny number. But, of those, there were a few who were also noteworthy.

Assassins from Xcution. Relays who stood as Kuchiki bastions in the human world. Bount who served the mercenary Anarchy. And even more. So, it was safe to say that there would be a lot of powerful people here. Jem's obvious best course of action was to make no enemies. As he was being driven, his driver would speak to him in a deep, emotionless voice. "Is there anything you need to stop at before we arrive at our final destination, sir?" The butler was polite, though admittedly he did not speak Japanese very well. His accent was terrible. Then again, Japanese wasn't Jem's native language either. Just, he had to speak it for the sake of Kazura, who was Japanese.

After Jem answered and if he stopped and after his stop, they too would arrive at the office building, where Jem would be dropped off. The butler gave him what looked like a simple leather strap analog watch. "If you press the face of the watch as a button, I will know that you require assistance, and will send you reinforcements and medical personnel immediately," the butler said. Kazura had a lot of cool, neat little inventions for Uzaki. And, he looked out for his own. Something many leaders did not choose to do. So, getting up to the receptionist, Jem too would be shown to the elevator, and brought down.

Jem would arrive well after Vannan had arrived and gone, and would arrive just in time to see the guard asking someone else a question. "Bount, moderate, curiosity," the person in front of Jem in line would say. The guard's skin, previously a dark color, suddenly turned fiery red and his eyes lit up an ominous sapphire gleam. Steam poured off his body, and reiatsu exploded around him. "YOU LIE!" the guard exclaimed, and plunged his fist with ferocity and incounterable speed straight into the "Bount's" chest, tearing out his heart through the back, and crushing it. The guard pulled his arm out, and the blood evaporated from his arm as a crimson mist as the liar blackened and turned to ashes on the spot.

So, that was what happened if you lied. And, worth being careful. That guard was every bit as powerful as one of Soul Society's Captains. As Jem approached, the guard's skin returned to being black, his eyes returned to normal, and the steam dissipated. And he asked Jem, now. "Race, strength level, purpose?" And afterward, would ask just as he had asked Vannan. "Demonstration?" If he had been that powerful as to instantly kill someone who lied on the first question, it was obviously best not to lie for the first question or be deceptive about the demonstration either.

Getting to the location was the easy part, hell even getting inside and going down to the elevator was easy. It seemed as if everyone was more than happy to help him get to the convention, well everyone besides the large man blocking the door way after the elevator ride. The man looked like a bouncer. Which took his mind back to a time when he was much younger and before he was in the Vandenreich, when he would often hit up club after club to have a good time. The bouncers sometimes gave him issues, but more often than not they were nice.

However this wasn't the case with this man. Vannan didn't like the feeling that the man gave off. He couldn't tell what he was, he didn't seem human and the aura he gave off was monstrous. Either way he knew that he couldn't just wave caution to the wind and proceed like he owned the place. So he took his steps carefully and walked towards the door the man guarded. A few feet before the door the man spoke asking him three questions. His race, his power level and more importantly his purpose.

Vannan stopped in his tracks and looked dumfound at the questions. Didn't they know what he was? After all these were the people who sent him an invitation making mention of him being a quincy. So how could someone who worked for these people have no idea of what race he was. I mean.... I guess they could have so many people coming here that they can't keep track of everyone,...but still shouldn't they have a way of tracking who came... Either way that was the easiest of the three questions to answer.

His strength level, he didn't know what to say. On one side he knew that he was much stronger than most of the spiritually aware, but compared to people like Caesar and a captain of the soul society he was much weaker. Totally he could consider himself above average for his strength, but that was up to debate, still he knew that he could answer honestly about what he thought he strength was, if that was the truth or not it was his own personal idea of himself.

He didn't want to keep the man waiting for long so he started to say his answers.”Quincy, above average,..... knowledge”. It was true, his entire reason for being here was to find out who was here, how they knew he was a quincy and why they had asked him and others to attend this convention. It seemed like the answers he had given had sufficed, the bouncer only answered with the word demonstration. It seemed like he had to show off his power, this made him nervous, given the nature of his power.


“Hey um... my power is a bit more subtle and it's easier to see over the long run on someone, but I can show you what it looks like at a glance.” With that Vannan activated his bow level two. Without being able to see spiritual power one couldn't tell that something had changed, however those that could would notice that Vannan had released, however there was no bow in sight. In the palm of his left hand a small orb was formed, no larger than a marble. He rolled it around his fingers for a moment before letting it drop to the floor. It bounced off the ground from the impact a few times and rolled away. Slowly he guided it to the far corner of the cavern before he had it explode with the full force of his power. At the same time he created another arrow in his hand, launching that one at full speed. Mid way in between the door and the elevator he had it explode again. The explosions easily shook the air around them, he turned back to the bouncer and drew in more reiatsu. He hoped that this demonstration would be enough to satisfy this man.

Jem watched as he passed by block after block of Israel, It was a beautiful city even if it was very hot. He pulled out his dossier; he was going over it once more. Kazura had provided him with a lot of information. Though names such as Satsujun or someone by the name of Lord Callus would not be there, left and right hands of big name spiritual entities might have been there as well as others looking to make a name for themselves. There would be people from Xcution, possibly mercenary groups, and hopefully no one from the Brotherhood. He’d have enough issues explaining this to his family, let alone someone like Howl. He sighed but perked up when he heard the driver speak.

Responding in Japanese, “Yes, we’ll need to stop at my hotel. Here is the address.” He leaned forward and handed him the written address, without replying the driver drove him through the streets of Tel Aviv to his accommodations. More top of the line reservations had been laid out for him, on the wealthy portion of town and clearly doing well for it. Jem’s driver helped him unload his bags; a bell hop took his bags and whisked them inside. He walked inside and walked up to the lady, she didn’t speak Japanese, but she did speak English and though it had been a while since he had used it he had been able to get what he needed across.

Around twenty minutes later, he was able to have his bag in the roomy closet and his key card in his wallet. Walking down, he was able to step back into limo and begin his trek back across the city to the source of spiritual power. It turned out it was not a hotel but an office building, upon stopping, the driver gave him an analog watch. He was about to turn it away, however the butler explained it actual purpose. Jem was touched by the kindness shown by Kazura and smiled saying a simple but very genuine “Thank you.” He stepped out in his suit and walked inside being shown into the elevator. Taking note of the operator pushing several buttons in a particular number, he was able to begin his decent down.

He noticed the bouncer questioning people as he walked forward. It seemed he may be late to the convention. The person being question answered very smoothly, and in response the bouncer activated some form of technique. Though he could see the attack happening, it seemed Jem lacked the ability to even twitch before the hand of the bouncer had speared through the person ahead of him. Pulling his hand out holding a heart that was rapidly turning to ash, Jem was very afraid. As the power seemed to no longer flux around the being, he turned to Jem and asked for his Race, Strength level and purpose. Honestly he’d given Jem a really good reason not to lie even without his forward and honest nature.

“I am a Mod Soul, My power is Moderate to Moderate-High level, and I’ve come for the purpose of potential negotiations and information gathering.” Everything he’d said was the truth, his purpose was as vague has he could be without lying to the man who could probably kill him without a blink of his eyes. He then asked for a demonstration, a demonstration of his power? His power cost him a lot of energy to activate so this had better be worth it. Activating his level 1 of destruct, his hands became coated in ethereal looking flames.

He got down on a knee and began to use his finger like a pen, writing in Japanese kanji he wrote, ‘Be Just, Fear Not.' There was no hissing, no scraping, no heat, and no shavings. He wasn’t cutting into the concrete; he was removing what parts he touched from existence. It stood little chance against the power of Destruct. Standing again he extinguished his power. Looking for confirmation to walk inside, hopefully he wasn’t going to die upon walking up to front door. However, in the back of his mind something made him internally shake his head.

Kazura had said do not make an enemy here, which was impossible. In social relations that had to deal with potential shifts of power and alliances. When you made a friend, chances are you also made an enemy. When you said something someone enjoyed, chances are there was someone who did not like what you said would become your enemy. This was a game of war, and enemies were made by existing. Jem just wished sometimes he wasn’t so empathetic. He had this nagging feeling it was going to get him killed one day.

The small doorway opened up as the Bouncer stepped to the side to permit entry to Vannan and later to Jem. "Proceed." Those were the words to permit entry. Vannan did not get to see just how powerful the Bouncer was, but he would probably, just by walking past him, be able to sense it. Vannan had been around some pretty powerful people. Just by working in the Vandenreich, he had encountered Wilhelm Kohler, otherwise known as B, The Boss, Baal. And by knowing Baal during the invasion, he would have seen the likes of Sozen Kuchiki, Captain of Squad 6, fighting Baal. This Bouncer was at least as powerful as Sozen Kuchiki, if not moreso.

The lesson would be even more clear to Jem, who did get to see how strong the Bouncer was, firsthand. Don't fuck with the Bouncer. But, lucky for them, that was literally the last they would be seeing of him. He was only the guard to the door. Really, why was he even there? In a convention like this one, no one person would dream of trying to mess around like that. There were too many other spirituals. To try and be a terrorist of some kind was tantamount to suicide. So, if the Bouncer's only purpose was to divine who was who, then... Why? Why even bother to get everyone to admit to who they were?

Upon entry, both Vannan and Jem would get to see a huge underground cavern. It was endless. No walls in sight. The only reason they could tell that it was a cavern was the huge overhead ceiling--So high up that it was barely visible. It was like a large, gray sky. The feeling inside indicated being in a cavern, but the ceiling was too high for either of them to launch any sort of projectile. If they used a step technique, a dozen in a row still would not get them high enough to touch that ceiling. Suffice to say, they were pretty low underground. More amazing, though, was that it really was some sort of a con.

There were booths and stands everywhere, with all sorts of things. People selling weapons, drugs, etc, presumably having decided this was an opportunity for marketing. Some who had sign-up booths, possibly thinking that this was an opportunity to recruit new members. And there were more things. Plenty of people had gathered in groups to converse. This was a place of meeting. Of convening. And, in the center of the entire place, was a huge stage. On the stage, there was a singer right now, and a huge television monitor behind the singer to show said singer up close. Come to think of it... That singer... Was that Justin Bieber?

Presumably, the stage would later be used for some showing off, and maybe for the guy who had invited all of them here to show himself. Now, in this cavern, Vannan would be quick to run into something that piqued his interest. Someone identical to his sister. Every detail was exact. And she was nonchalantly walking through the place, occasionally conversing, occasionally checking out a booth. This wasn't the first time this had happened to Vannan. He had encountered a Soul Reaper before who resembled his sister too, and had killed her. Only after verifying that it wasn't his sister had he been okay.

Who was this strange diva? Why did this keep happening?

Meanwhile, Jem, given he was on Uzaki business, would probably want to find out who was running the show on this thing. The booths obviously were just here for advertising. It was probable that none of them knew more than he did. The best people to ask would be those near the stage, or just someone who looked kind of important. There was someone very important looking in a suit and sunglasses near the stage, with some kind of clipboard, looking over things. That looked promising. But, just as Jem saw him, he would suddenly sense reiatsu... A very familiar reiatsu. A Hellish reiatsu he hadn't felt in years.

And flashbacks would come to his mind. He would recall all sorts of pain. All sorts of suffering... But it was not his own. He would suddenly, vividly, see memories from... a man named William. But, as the flashback abruptly ended, he would be left with a horrible pit in his stomach. He would recall all that had happened to make him who he was today. No, not him. William. What William had experienced at the end of his life. Was it something that he could ignore? And Jem would feel that pain too, that William had experienced. There was no telling what it was that caused it. But, he had a choice. Mission... or curiosity?

Proceed, Vannan let out a sigh of relief never had he been so happy to hear such a simple word come out of such an ominous person. There was no mistaking that this man had some great power, what made it even worse was the fact that he was chosen to guard the doorway into the event. It meant that whatever kind of power this man had it could kill or detain someone instantly without any chance of retaliation. On top of that the fact that the man felt as powerful as Baal gave Vannan quite the scare, till he was allowed to pass by. Even as he entered he kept an eye on the bouncer hoping that it was just his own suspicion that something bad would happen and lucky for him it was.

Once inside though he felt somewhat at ease, looking around the place it really did seem like a con, there were booths everywhere and even some people dressed up like they were in costume. The sudden fear of entering before had vanished, he felt at ease. Looking to the left he saw what seemed to be a large stage and on it something he hoped he would never see,Justin Bieber. Vannan hated that singer with a passion and the fact that he was here at this kind of convention made him a bit sick to the stomach. It also raised so many questions, the main one being could I kill that fucker without getting killed myself. It was something that he kept in the back of his mind while he would take the opportunity to try it, he wouldn't make it his end goal.

Still at a convention one of the fun things to do was to look and see what the booths were selling, he would take his time at each booth and learn what they were trying to pawn off on people and see if anything was worthwhile, all while making small talk with the owners of the booths to see if they knew anything about what was going on here. Vannan was going to have some fun here, but at the same time he was on his own personal mission to figure out who was responsible for organizing this whole thing. Based on how large this entire place was and the fact that it was deep underground he had to assume that it was someone rather wealthy, exorbitantly wealthy.

While looking around there was something that caught his attention. A girl, her apperance instantly grabbed his eyes, but not in the sense that she was attractive, no it's because she looked exactly like his sister. The way she did her hair, the way she walked, even the type of clothing she was wearing was exactly the same. He stopped the moment he saw her. It couldn't be possible, it shouldn't be possible to see her there. Why would someone invite his sister to this place. Yes she was a quincy, but she had no skill for it, not that he could tell or ever saw. He even went out of his way after his parents died to keep her from learning more about her powers telling her that it was pointless to learn them now that no one was forcing them to do so. So again he had to ask why his sister was here, even more puzzling was how she got here. There was no way that she could of afford the plane ticket here, he had to use a gate just to get here himself. So how did she manage to get here.

This wasn't right, something was up and he wanted to know the answers, he wasn't going to beat around the bush at all. Blending into the crowed of people around him he followed her, with each step making sure that he would get closer and closer to her. He was both puzzled and annoyed at this whole place now. How could his little sister be here? A few feet away from her he stopped and remembered that shingami he had met once in the soul society. The one he shot and killed without hesitation. It was only after he had seen her face that he noticed how similar she looked to his own sister, but he knew it wasn't her, could this very well be the same thing? Someone who looked like his sister yet wasn't? He had to know, he needed to know.

Still moving silently with the crowed he waited till she stopped at another booth before tapping her on the shoulder. “What are you doing here Sarah?” His eyes looked into her's trying to see if she would lie to him. It could very well be that she wasn't his sister, but he wasn't going to risk that chance. If it turned out that she was his sister he would order her to go home, this wasn't a place for someone like her. He never wanted her to learn the truth of the world, to learn that this place was filled with monsters, monsters that wore the skin of men and pretended to be human, monsters who killed others without a second thought monsters who didn't value life. Monsters like the person he was becoming.

Turning around, the girl smiled at Vannan. "Hello Vannan," she greeted as he tapped her on her shoulder. Something in the air was so twisted about this whole thing. Her smile was so empty. It wasn't that she didn't feel joy. It was that her joy was of a different kind from the type that Vannan could experience. It was a different expression than what he would be used to seeing on his sister's face. The tension was palpable in the air. This was reason for him to fear, when she knew his name. Because didn't that mean that it really was his sister? Didn't that mean that she really was here, when she obviously should not be?

"What are you doing here, Sarah?" he asked her. She came up with a perplexed look on her face. "What do you mean, Vannan?" his sister asked in response. Puzzled, she started to undress, removing her top completely right there in the con in front of everyone. And what Vannan would see was truly horrible. Utterly shocking. Her entire chest was gone. No, not just her breasts. Her chest. Literally. There was a huge hole with blood coming out of it, everywhere above her stomach. It was likely one of the biggest wounds that Vannan had ever seen. More than one organ was lost just by that being gone.

"I'm not here," she said. And then suddenly, his sister was gone. It was as if one moment, she was there, plain as day, and the next, she was just... gone. As if he had blinked. It was so instant that it was like he had been having a hallucination, and then blinked and it was gone. Now he just stood there in front of... empty air that he had tapped on the nonexistent shoulder and spoken to. But this place was loud, and it seemed as if no one had noticed him doing this. In fact, everyone was so nonchalant and no one had turned in the direction of he and the girl who was no longer there. No one had noticed anything. Had he really just hallucinated?

But, then, if he turned into the crowd, there she was again. Walking away, again. This time, toward a location behind the stage. If Vannan had any intention of finding out what this was, would he follow her? Or would he stick to his mission? He had plenty to do. He could go after his sister, who was most important in the world to him. Or he could decide he was going crazy, and at least finish his mission by seeking someone here who had information, such as the DJ, or, god almighty forbid, Justin Bieber. Well, either way, this was a bit creepy, if he stopped and thought about it.

Jem made his way past the bouncer; he noted the monstrous strength of the mod soul and duly noted that he could possibly be a potential ally in the future. Perhaps if he could meet with him on some down time inside this gathering of spiritual beings, he could garner a powerful addition to the brotherhood of the veil. He walked down noting the various shops and chains that were here. It seemed that spiritual awareness and prowess allowed for impressive expansion. There were names and brands that he wouldn’t have expected to be spiritually connected. As he looked on he noticed the giant stage with live music.

As Jem moved closer he realized who was singing and immediately cringed, there were very little who actually enjoyed the musical style of Justin Bieber. Jem was not one of them moving through the surprisingly large crowd of fans or booing spectators he began looking for someone of importance. Being literally surrounded on all sides by spiritual beings, his energy sensory did him very little good. He had to rely on his physical senses in this situation and he was pretty much botching it at the moment. Grunge T-Shirts, White beaters, and dress shirts. But these were just individuals that looked from all walks of life. No one looked like they were actual event personnel.

Jem saw a man with a clipboard and an earpiece, finally someone that was actually working here at the event besides the bouncer that was not exactly what Jem would call a chatty guy. He began to cut through the throng of bodies when he was pushed into from the side, noticing that their seemed to be a lot of animosity in regards to the different crowds, those pro-Bieber, and anti-Bieber were about to get into it. He push harder to break through the piling of bodies and force his way into the front area to get to the person. However before he could get too close he felt sick to his stomach, immediately getting out of the crowd he dove for a trash can and threw up into it.

His energy sensory which had been passively scanning for threats to keep him safe had picked up on a fallen reiastu signature. However this was not just any fallen, this was one of the fallen that made his skin become coated with sweat, his breathing ragged, and his mind shooting pain to his past. This half-demon wherever it was, was a child of the demon that killed William. They were here; they were here to finish the job. Jem had to choke back a mix between a scream and a sob. His will was in shambles, he wanted to run. However he needed to know which one was here. Kazura’s mission was all but forgotten in his mind. He began steadily making his way to the source of reiastu that was tainted with the darkest of powers. Keeping to the shadows and groups of people he’d find the source, he knew he wasn’t lucky enough not to.

“What do you mean Vannan?” Vannan was shocked at the way she said it, her tone was off. There was something wrong about it entirely, it was cold, and calm. So unlike his sister that was normally full of life and very dynamic. Something was up, there was something very very wrong with this, but before he could say anything else she did something else that shocked him to the core, she started to undress herself right before his eyes and right in the center of this very very busy convention.

He was stunned by her actions, so much that he could only watch as his sister disrobed her self. He was about ready to yell out to tell her to stop as he saw the whole in the center of her chest. No a hole in the center of her chest would have been generous, there was almost nothing of her torso left. His mouth hanged open, watching the blood spill out of his little sisters body. He was petrified at the sight, the people around him wouldn't be paying attention, they kept on moving as if nothing had happened, but right now right here he was seeing his little sister with a gaping hole in what was her chest bleeding out onto the floor acting as if nothing was wrong with this whole situation.

And as suddenly as she showed him the hole in her chest she vanished. It took him a moment to understand what had happened, that his sister just vanished before his eyes. Under his breath he muttered out “what....what was that just now.....” Looking up he saw that no one bothered to react at all. It's as if he was the only one who saw that whole thing. While looking up he saw the image of his sister once more, this time she was moving towards the stage, passing through the crowed


He could only watch as what was an image of his sister walk through the crowed. Whatever was going on he needed to know, his own personal mission had changed, he wanted to find out what had just happened and why his sister was here or who was messing with him showing him images of his sister. Silently he walked through the crowed following the same path that his sister walked. He didn't know how well he could follow, but he was confident with his skill and being able to hide in plain sight. Almost like a ghost himself he vanished into the crowed heading towards the back of the stage.

Vannan and Jem would arrive backstage simultaneously. Just in time, in fact, to encounter something truly disgusting and horrible. There beneath was a corpse, its blood a pool on the ground. Literally, backstage. Behind the stage. So fresh that it hadn't even begun to smell yet. And there were no people around to see this horrible sight. The corpse of a male, not only dead in a pool of blood, but utterly, completely, hopelessly mutilated. Literally torn in half with what was inside strung out between the two pieces. The eyes had been gouged out, and the face itself was covered in blood with a horrified expression, mouth agape. Because that death had been painful. All of that damage? It had happened at the same time.

Jem and Vannan might see one another, but the corpse was something equally shocking. And now, they might begin to realize that there was a foul plot here, with a foul stench more putrid than anything the corpse would kick up. Thousands of spiritual beings were gathered here, unsuspecting of the catastrophe that was to come. Of course, how could one not expect this? A convention like this didn't get hosted without ulterior motives. Someone was looking to do something with all of these spiritual beings here. It had to be that. Or, else, someone at the convention was using it was an opportunity for something terrible. Either way, should they get help? Or not?

Before they could even decide that, a bald, pale skinned man walked out from behind the curtain, growling like a feral animal. It was low, almost a hiss. The man's face was covered in blood, particularly the area surrounding the mouth. And the bald man had blood on his hands, too. His clothes also had blood. It was obvious that most of it wasn't his own. With a snarl, the bald man looked up at Vannan and Jem. His eyes were a dark red, and filled with an uncontrolled fury. A rage the likes of which they had probably never seen before. He wasn't just angry. He wasn't just insane. He was literally mindless. All ability to think or rationalize had been purged from his mind in favor of that insatiable hate.

Without a moment's hesitation after registering the two living men there, the bald man sprinted at them. Full on sprinted. He would be upon them in under a second, aiming to grab onto one or the other of them. The closer one, in fact, was Vannan, and if Vannan didn't react swiftly, or Jem didn't help him, Vannan would find that he had been tackled to the floor by this bald man, who then would throw up all over Vannan's shirt, and start beating him mercilessly with fists clenched so tightly that they bled. Vannan was literally going to be beaten to death if he didn't do something. Or if Jem didn't help him. Or if things just didn't work out today.

Getting backstage was much easier than he thought it would be, almost no security it's as if something or someone was making it easy for him to follow the visions of his sister to the back, but right now he didn't care. No he was more focused on tracking his sister down then to think about how easy this whole thing is. Once backstage he saw it, a corpse that was ripped in half. His mouth opened wide at the sight of the poor man. He was no stranger to death himself, however the man's body was brutally twisted, as if something was eating it or toyed with the man's life. What caused the most fear for Vannan was that he lost the sight of his sister, she was gone and only the corpse of a man was backstage.

That was true till Vannan saw something peer out from one of the curtains, a pale, bald man that growled like a wild animal. “What the fuck......” What ever this thing was left more questions than answers, his skin was too pale to be an albino and his eyes were blood red, along with blood splattered all over the man's body, Vannan didn't need a second look to put two and two together. This man or thing pretending to be a man had been responsible for the corpse and now he had his eyes on him. Vannan didn't even wait for the man to charge at him before drawing in reiatsu and using Hirenkyaku to quickly dash away and up into the air way above the reach of the monster. As he came out of hirenkyaku he quickly activated his stealth cloak to make it seem as if he had just vanished from the spot that he was in.

Vannan's presence from the mortal and spiritual world vanished to those with low senses, but that didn't keep the man from running to where Vannan once was. Now several feet away and in the air he watched the beast. He hoped that this monster would end up running past and into the crowed of people outside, trying to attack the masses that were out there. If that happened he was sure that either the guards or someone else would be able to take down this monster. There was no need for him to directly fight this thing, not when there were literately millions of spiritually aware people in this place that could do it for him and he was sure plenty of them wanted to show off and stroke their own ego at taking down a monster that killed innocents or to prove their strength to others around. Vannan wasn't one of those, at least not at this moment.

The creature did run straight past Vannan. Jem, luckily, was only just entering, and the creature somehow managed to rush right by him. Vannan, undetected by the monster, would be safe as it ran into the crowd. There were some screams, and a few blasts and explosions and other sounds, indicating spiritual beings using their powers to attack and to stop the monster. The monster, upon rushing out, however, threw up blood all over the face of one of the unsuspecting people at the convention. It also fell upon another, holding him down and biting into his neck. That came about before a blast from one of the more ready spirituals blew the thing into splattered blood and guts.

Some of the blood and guts flew around the area, and a few droplets onto that ready spiritual's face as well. There was some confusion as all of those gathered at the convention looked, dazed, at the stain on the ground that had been the beast which Vannan had dodged. What a strange anomaly. There was some murmuring around the crowd. It was good that Vannan had decided to dodge it, though. Imagine what could have happened if he'd engaged it. It could have been ugly for him. That thing had been fast. It had taken some of these extremely skilled individuals completely by surprise. Good thing it was dead. The bitten man was groaning on the ground as another spiritual, presumably medical based, arrived to try to heal him.

Suddenly, the man on the ground started to spasm, and he bite into the medic's neck. The medic screamed. The man whose face had been puked on started to spasm and cry out as well, and in an instant disappeared in a blur of speed, rushing at another victim, and throwing up blood on that victim's face. The man that had blown up the first, original monster, also began to spasm, before turning, with dark red eyes, to attack someone nearby. These monsters had throaty screeches coming out, and seemed to have no problem attacking the populace. Many of the nearby spirituals were quick to take out some of them, but the population of the area was extremely dense.

Multiple people had been splattered by blood, which appeared to be the spreading mechanism, and they too began to turn into these infected demons. In the midst of it, if Vannan had exited from backstage, he would see the girl with his sister's face in the middle of the crowd, as others all over the place began to turn, and become brutal, vicious, and savage. Throwing up blood while more hemorrhaged from their eyes and noses, trying to beat people or beat them to death. Trying to massacre anything around. These monsters were spreading very quickly, like wildfire. The more powerful spirituals might be fine, even in the enclosed area. The weaker ones were having trouble.

And then there was the girl with Vannan's sister's face. Looking around in the middle of it all. Surrounded.

“Damn it.... damn it to hell” His worst fear came true, that thing was killed, but now others were infected. It had to be zombies again for the third time in his life. He was seriously starting to wonder what was going on with the world. There was no way that he could have been face to face with zombies three separate times without something being up. First was on an island and those zombies and that whole thing reminded him of a damn video game that had bugged out cars with only two speeds and after that it was some damn haunted mansion, but these fucking zombies.... they were exactly like that movie that took place in London. To say the least he was pissed off that he had to deal with fucking zombies again.

He was about to leave while stealthed to avoid drawing any attention to himself, given that there was no one here he cared about, besides his sister or what ever was that vision of his sister. Taking a moment he looked over the crowed and as he scanned it he saw her face there. In the middle of it all there she was standing. His heart sank as he saw her clearly there, one part of him was happy that she was alive, but the other felt sick as he knew that his actions could of very easily cost her, her life. Now wasn't the time to think though, he had to act quick and he had to save her. Drawing in some reiatsu he concentrated the reshi in the air around his feet and quickly dashed above and over the now growing hoard of zombies to his sister.

Above her and in the air he extended out his arm and pulled back on his bow creating five arrows. Each arrow glowed brightly though almost blinding him, but he knew what he had to do, he let the arrows fly out into the hoard of zombies from up above, quickly the arrows split leaving behind them a trail of superheated plasma. Quickly five arrows became ten and then ten became twenty and twenty became forty arrows. The massive volly of arrows would rip through the zombies's flesh and that of anyone unlucky enough to get caught in the middle of his attack. The hot plasma would rip right through most of those there blinding them along side temporarily creating a plasma grid to keep them from moving closer without getting ripped to shreds. He hoped that this would slow them just enough for him to grab his sister.

The moment after his attack his attention turned back to his sister and he grabbed her by her arm and pulled her towards him opening his stealth cloak up so that it would cover her as well shielding the both of them from being sensed before dashing away again using movement this time. His breath was heavy, doing that took a bit out of him, but if it was to save his sister he would be more than happy to do it again. “Are you ok sis?” Those were the only words he could say right now to his little sister, his mind was racing trying to figure out his next move, there was one idea that came to mind, get out. His entire body was telling him he needed to head for an exit and get the hell out of this place while he still could then call for a Vandenreich cleansing of this place.
