Zeferoth glared at the two legger in black as he started fallowing him deeper into the Rukongai. He wanted to keep the shinigami in front of him so that he didn't get one of those metal fangs stabbed into his back. Though one had promised him food for his services during this job, that didn't mean that he trusted all of them. He wasn't sure if the two legger was thinking that he was being funny or not, but his humor was lost on the large beast man.
It was then that another one of them had arrived. At first he thought that they had betrayed him, but on a second thought she didn't seem like she was going to attack him. She didn't even really seem that strong to him. He looked down at her then to the other black two legger. She wanted to know something about a rebellion? He didn't know what that word meant, but he concluded that maybe she was inquiring about the symbol the Jackal girl asked him to look into.
"Know nothing of this...rebellion, but two legger and I go look look at symbol in ten." he said making the upside down cross in the air with his long clawed fingers. "Come if please, stay close. Want to keep eye on two leggs." He said in a slightly darker tone. He wasn't trying to threaten the girl, but he wanted his point across that he did not feel too comfortable being out numbered by two leggers with their metal claws.

(Short post)
Moving around during the day lit hours, passing along a crowd of strangers and potential cut throats. In his eyes everyone could be a potential enemy, especially in a crowded area such as this. Living and staying in district 78 for the longest time he could never kick that train of thought. It wasn’t uncommon for the pale faced reaper to keep his hand on the handle of his Zanpakuto at all times but in this case he had to show some restraint. Not for his own comfort but for the comfort of those around him, to put those people at ease. The last thing he wanted to to do in this situation was to make everyone on edge.
"Have you folks heard of those rumors of 'rebellion'? I'm... Kinda here to investigate that and I'm trying to gather what I can... If you guys are on this too, can I possibly join up? You guys seem like you know what I'm talking about and I'm not gonna hide in the shadows,"
Aevus would turn around to meet the gaze of a purple eyed Shinigami. She was small, cute and looked rather young but looks was something Aevus would never underestimate. She was a Shinigami after all, a profession not for the faint of heart. An elongated sigh fell loosely from his lips as the the beast clan began to respond to her and the darker tone that he shifted to upon speaking about the two. “ You’re threatened by the company of a cute girl, come on look at her she’s harmless.” He was lying obviously.
“Now we’re both after the same thing, rumors of a rebellion and all that so try and lighten that tone of yours err” Aevus would pause as he had not caught the badgers name. “So we’ll be dealing with one another for some time rather put names aside, i’m Aevus an unseated member of squad 2.” He would yawn shortly before continuing on a steady pace. “ What the walking carpet is saying he’s overheard rumors of a symbol in district ten that may help us, quicken the pace and get us done all that much faster.”

Natsumi was confused now. She actually wasn't expecting the Beast to give her such a nasty tone. She would ignore this however because she had a job to do. She would look over at the other Shinigami who was behind the Beast Clan. It was another of her kin here to investigate this strange 'rebellion'. Natsumi sighed in relief seeing Aevus. She could have another to trust over that... Creature near by. She didn't think of the beast as a monster or anything but she felt nervous because he had a darker tone in his voice from earlier. He commented that she was 'cute', which actually made Natsumi's face blush a bit... It was nice to hear something nice from this.
She hears that he too was looking for this 'rebellion' as well. Great, now it's officially confirmed. She can stick close to the Shinigami if times were needed to go around. The Shinigami quickly stated his name and squad which made her smile, "I'm Natsumi Yoshimora of Squad 13, unseated," and that's when she realized he called the Beast a 'Walking carpet'. That made her feel so funny on the inside but the outside, she gave a straight face to cover her laughter for she could raise a situation unneeded at this time. She would give a nod.
Then she would quickly pace herself towards the side of the Beast, not just too close to him, "Right! Let's head to Distract 10 and get this show on the road," this is where she leaves herself off to where the group wants to go first. She was ready and all to carry on her objective and proceed to the next point. However, she still wanted to know... What was this rebellion and now that she knows she's not the only one then that means there must be more up ahead of them. She would sigh, before they carried on. This is where the adventure unfolds for Natsumi and she was not too thrilled of what could be ahead.

(OOC: Zahra is now considered “exempt” from post order; she can reply at any time, as she's a completely separate group here. All three of the others must remain in their post order.))
As Zahra approached the gates of Seireitei, a sound would catch her attention, a soft whistling. Her senses were sharp enough to hear it coming, and her mental reaction time was good enough that she'd be able to avoid what was coming. A movement would allow her to spot the rock that flew past her head, clattering to the street behind her. As she turned, more rocks would fly from the shadows, though they would be easy enough to dodge, likely thrown by those who lacked exceptional strength. Any that struck would be enough to draw a minor amount of blood, as they were sharp or jagged stones, but Zahra wasn't likely to get hit short of running straight through the oncoming barrage. They just wouldn't be able to keep up with her full speed.
The stones came from the shadows, and if Zahra approached, she'd hear the scuffle of footsteps on the hard stone as her attackers fled. Pursuit would yield a situation similar to the last; though she was fast enough to keep up with most humans, the attackers would simply be gone before she could spot them. It was like chasing ghosts; every time she thought she had a lead, the jackal would find nothing there. But pursuit was possible again, as the scent she had been following had strengthened by the presence of the individuals who had attacked her; clearly they were the group she had pursued up until this point, or at least the part of it that had split off in this direction. The scent would weave between the buildings and down alleyways, but at least it didn't split again, indicating a single direction to follow.
As Zahra rounded a corner, however, her senses were just not good enough to spot the wires hidden in the darkness. The jackal would find wires biting into her torso, thighs, and neck as she stumbled through a maze of tripwires that had been set up seemingly with her in mind. Soon she'd be tangled up, unable to do more than wiggle easily, and it would bring her down to the ground. Zahra was completely wound in the wires, and every attempt to wriggle free only seemed to make them bind tighter. Perhaps it was a Shinigami's Zanpaktou that was doing this; it would make sense for a binding-type technique to block her attempts at escape.
“It seems we've caught our tail... and what an interesting choice of words, given her nature.” Zahra would hear the voice, but she would not be able to see whom it belonged to, as a rock slammed down on her forehead, stunning her and leaving her barely conscious. She would be aware of being lifted up, thrown over someone's shoulder, and a swaying motion as they walked away. “I think the Apostle will be happy to see this one... we've wondered if these beasts would embrace the true faith. Perhaps some of them may be spared His judgment yet...” At this point, Zahra would black out, and be unconscious for an undetermined amount of time.
When she awoke, Zahra would find herself tied tightly to a large stone pillar, with two guards watching over her. They were dressed as Shinigami, and each had their sword drawn, trained on the jackal in case she made a fuss. There was a gathering of people a short distance away, all standing beneath a small stone platform with a single individual upon it. The man seemed to be important, as everyone listened to him as he spoke without interruption. He was also dressed finely, in long white robes with golden embroidery, and a black undershirt visible beneath his robe, almost like a reversed color scheme from a normal Shinigami's outfit.
So now, Zahra had to make a decision: how would she escape? What would she do to trick, distract, or attack her guards? Clearly remaining would be a poor idea, given that they had captured her, yet this was also the group she was following... perhaps it would be wise to remain. The decision was hers.
----------------------------
Upon getting to know each other, Natsumi, Aevus, and Zeferoth began to make their way towards District Ten, where it was said that the group's symbol had been found. Of the three, only Zeferoth knew what the symbol looked like, as Aevus had hung back too far to listen in on the conversation at the time and Natsumi had not been present. The three would be forced to rely on the Beast-Clansman to guide them once they reached the appropriate area; only he knew what to look for, and even that was vague; an upside-down cross with something around it was the description that had been given. Would they even recognize it if they found it? That would be up to the group's skill at searching the area, and given that two of the members were low-ranked Shinigami who were unfamiliar with the area, and the last was more animal than man, that might be a bit of a challenge.
District Ten was laid out like a maze, a twisting labyrinth of streets that led in every direction. Many of their attempts at finding the symbol would be met with disappointment; all of the back alleys they moved through often dead-ended, forcing them to turn back and look for another entrance. Their search would take a good hour, and soon the sun began to set, the skies streaked with gold while shadows continued to stretch longer with the fading light. Yet each turn just seemed to lead them further into the puzzling tangle of streets, leaving them lost time and again, and often times they seemed to double back upon themselves.
It was only after another half hour of hunting that the group would get their first lead, though not in the way that they expected. Zeferoth, being a Beast-Clan, was more attuned to tracking with his sense of smell than standard humans, and as a result, he would recognize Zahra's scent as they passed by one intersection. The smell was still fairly strong, suggesting recent passage, though it was partially masked by a human scent. Still, that indicated that the jackal had come through recently, and it was likely she was not alone. Had she met another companion to join them in their hunt for information? If so, it was turning into quite the party! However, there were other options, far more chilling; it would be best to catch up quickly, and figure out where to go from there.
If the group followed Zahra's scent, however, they would find themselves moving down a back alley that looked very similar to the many they had traveled up unitl this point. They would be stopped halfway, however; a man stepped from a small alcove, and though he was not dressed in a Shinigami's outfit, he still bore a sharp-looking sword in one hand, pointed at whoever was in the lead at that point. “Who're you folk? A pair of kids, and a beast? Get out! You're not welcome here—”
“Wait.” From the other side of the road, another voice came, and if the group squinted closely, they'd see a man dressed in a hooded black coat standing in the shadows. His hands were hidden in his sleeves, and the shadows over his face made it impossible to determine who the man was. “They may be new recruits; though it seems unlikely that a beast can understand our faith, it behooves us to ask.” The man in black turned to them, still hidden, and spoke quietly. “If you are one of the fold, then you know His name. Who is it that we follow? Answer now, or leave.”
Zeferoth took note of Zahra's scent the second that he had smelled it. He did not know why he would smell her here when she left in a different direction. Zeferoth's gut was telling him something was wrong. He did not know what the man wanted to hear, plus from what the man in the cloak said, Zeferoth could tell that once again he was not wanted here. He looked over to the other two, as he slowly started to back away.
"Zeferoth know when not wanted. Two leggers are not worth time." He said before turning to the girl whispering quietly to her and the other two legger if he was able to listen in to them. "Trap weak two legger get infomation." He said reiterating the instructions that he was given by the shinigami that got him all the way there. He suddenly charged the one with the sword figuring that he was just the muscle of the group.
He had some experience of shady organizations from when he was alive. He spent the last half of his life in a wildlife fighting circuit. Of course at the time he didn't know what exactly was going on, but he could compare and see who was the the muscle, and who actually knew anything. He trusted the black two leggers to take care of that one while he took care of the larger one with the sword. It was the first tie he trusted the two leggers with anything.
Zeferoth would go to grab the sword arm of the man and hold it still with his immense strength. Hopefully the first thing the two would think is that he has gone wild and out of control leaving them temporarily distracted. He would then slam his fist into the gut of the man with his free hand with full force. He would punch him again and again until he was satisfied that the man would stay down. He always focused on taking targets down quickly.

Walking, walking, walking just walking, step by step one foot after another, left foot, right foot. The sun was enough to put Aevus off synch with his surrounding but having to meander through a maze of streets with nothing but a large badger as a tracking dog was enough to drive anyone insane. He had nothing against the lot of them but since the beginning he was completed unenthused about this mission. Sleeping was on his to do list and tracking and killing hollows was his only specialty. He had no communication skills that would give him an edge on gathering information. Just when things were starting to get boring, he passed a glance to something interesting.
“Who're you folk? A pair of kids, and a beast? Get out! You're not welcome here—”
A sharp blade pointed in the direction of the beast, now that was the biggest mistakes you could make. From his knowledge, most beast clan members grew up on the outskirts of Rukongai within the forests and plains. Living like nomads in small to large packs, they were creatures of intellect but like animals they seemed to rely on instinct. Instinct that could lead to this mans death, instinct that could rip him limb from limb and make him regret the decision upon pointing a blade towards the beast at all. This was all just speculation though for Aevus was no scholar on the subject, no not at all but he was ready for anything. “Wait.”
It didn’t take long for another man to appear, one shrouded in a black coat. Hidden in shadow, in that umbra tinted darkness veiling his visage from view. “They may be new recruits; though it seems unlikely that a beast can understand our faith, it behooves us to ask.” Aevus would glance over at the man in shadow as he continued on his little tangent. It reeked of a fanatics rants and it made the man ill to his stomach just to hear him continue on his little speech. “If you are one of the fold, then you know His name. Who is it that we follow? Answer now, or leave.”
"Trap weak two legger get infomation."
“I’m sorry Natsumi, brace yourself.” Aevus would flex his gravitational pressure as the beast leapt forward at his foe. His fingers slowly tapping on his blade from habit alone, his irises lingering faintly to a cyanic glow. He would force the beast and Natsumi to the ground with that pressure alone and potentially the strangers around him as well if he exceeded their current class by enough. A sigh befell him as he set himself loosely to the beast's side.
“We don’t know who it is you follow, but it was unwise to threaten my friend here.” He would eye the beast shortly, a look of guilt riddled his lazy facade before returning it to the two men around him. “I can release him upon you, if you want to die a most gruesome death or~” He would stop shortly before continuing. "Perhaps of course you could give us the information we’re looking for...yet maybe i’ll still let him loose upon you. Who knows, this day is riddled with many possibilities.”
Zahra was following the scent as best she could, still wondering why she hadn't run into anyone yet. It made no sense to her. She saw the gates to the black and white people's home and was getting a little excited. She had wanted to see it ever since her mate started to rage about them. Him talking about it just made her want to see them more and see why he hates them so much. While she walked forward, her ears flicked around and she heard something. With being a beastclan, she easily avoided the object thrown at her.
She saw, after it landed, that it was just a rock getting thrown at her. She turned and saw that there were more rocks getting thrown at her. She smiled, as well as a jackal could smile, and easily avoided all the rocks. These people obviously didn't have the skill to hit her. After she saw that the last rocks were thrown, she started to walk briskly towards them. It was then that her ears flicked again, and she heard them scuffle before leaving. She started to run after them then, wanting to finally catch at least one of these people to ask them questions.
She ran, noticing that the scent was still there, taking the path that she heard the people run off to. Thankfully, the scent was the same, so she was easily able to follow the people that threw rocks at her. While she followed the scent, running through streets and alleys, she was curious why they would throw stuff at her. Were they trying to test her skills before running away? It couldn't have been to actually hurt her, they weren't strong enough to hurt her, which was pretty obvious from what she had seen of them so far.
While following the strong scent, wondering why she couldn't catch them and what they were actually doing, she rounded a corner and hit something. She was going fast enough that she pretty much plowed into something that she didn't even see. When they hit her, she felt tiny strands hit her, and she knew enough of the humans to know that it was called 'wire.' She had stolen some wire before and had a great deal of fun bending it before she got bored of it and gave it back. Though, she gave it back a bent up mess.
Once she hit the wire, she continued her forward motion, allowing the wire to actually surround her and get her tied up in it. She landed fairly hard on the ground, wriggling around like a worm trying to get out of the wire. She didn't like being caged up and this was getting her annoyed. Her ears were flicking around wildly while her tail twitched. She was trying to move her tail around to see if it could help her get out, but it didn't. She then heard a voice and growled towards it. She didn't like that he didn't face her.
She considered him a coward for not meeting her face-to-face. While she thought of this, she felt something heavy hit her hard against her forehead. She was woozy, still trying to growl, but felt her eyelids go heavy. She was trying to stay away, but her body was forcing her to sleep. Whoever was there picked her up and threw her over their shoulder. When the swaying from their movements started, she felt her eyelids start to shut slowly. They started to talk and when she heard Apostle, she was completely unconscious.
When she woke up, it was quick. Since she was an animal, she didn't like feeling open and defenseless, especially since she remembered that she was knocked out. Once she perked up, she quickly looked around. She saw two of the black and white people standing near her, like a guard if she remembered the word's meaning correctly. She then saw a small platform with a man standing on it, talking, while there was a group around him listening. She didn't know if the clothes meant anything, but they weren't a big detail.
Her ears flicked around, trying to hear anything, while she looked at her guard. They had huge knives, which she remembered were called swords, pointed right at her. She assumed that they would use those against her. She looked back towards the platform and she was curious why they were like that. They weren't talking against him. Was he like the Alpha of the group, or leader as the humans liked to say? It looked that way to her, but she couldn't tell why he would be Alpha. But, she also wasn't human, which was probably why she didn't understand.
She faced the front again, slightly moving her hands. They had tied her pretty tight to this huge stone thing, 'pillar' if she remembered right. She looked around again, trying to figure out how she could get out. She could only think of one thing that would be the easiest way to get out. She growled low in her throat, trying to figure out how she could try to avoid the black and white people. She thought she figured out something and then started to move her arms out. She kept her eyes on the shinigami and using her strength, broke the ropes that was holding her. Right when the ropes broke, she started to run at full speed, trying to get out of the small plaza by running around the shinigami on her right side and heading straight, avoiding obstacles in her path so she could get away.

It was weird being around these two individuals. Not by the Shinigami's point but the beast himself, she actually has never seen a Beast so close and personal before. It was... Scary. However, she was confident he was only here just to complete the mission like these two were doing in the first place. It was becoming stranger now because the Beast was leading them somewhere rather fishy... It was fast and unsuspecting but the voice can be heard quickly ahead. “Who're you folk? A pair of kids, and a beast? Get out! You're not welcome here—”
Who the hell is this? Natsumi quickly dragged herself into the shadow. She was ready to pull her zanpakuto out due to the situation but that quickly halted. “Wait.” Great another guest has arrived as a voice from another direction was heard. She'd turn towards the direction and squinted her purple eyes to view this figure. He was impossible to see do to the shadows and his clothing but Natsumi felt a little cautious towards this individual. They could be potentially dangerous for these three to handle alone. Natsumi kept herself very quiet as tensions would secretly rise.
“They may be new recruits; though it seems unlikely that a beast can understand our faith, it behooves us to ask.” This has already answered much questions going through Natsumi's mind. These individuals could be apart of this rebellion rumor sprouting about. Though, it was quite humorous indeed for them to not further question the beast's appearance here with Aevus and Natsumi herself. She would still remain quiet until that shadowy man spoke once more out loud. “If you are one of the fold, then you know His name. Who is it that we follow? Answer now, or leave.”
Natsumi knew nothing of 'His' name and was seriously doubting the other two knew as well. She got another tip this probably had to do with the rebellion but still unsure yet if this was truly the case. Natsumi, being the most cheerful person around probably remained awfully silent. This was a very tense situation and for these individuals to appear out of no where made her nervous. It was then the Beast whispered into their ears to take on the weaker on. Without further explanations shit would go down. "Wait-" and she heard Aevus apologize to Natsumi and to brace herself.
A small conflict that could have been easily been resolved quickly turned into a mess. The gravity below them was quickly pulling them down heavily. She was brought down on one knee and quickly collapsed against the ground. It was... CHOCKING to her body. Just what was Aevus doing right now?! "Aevus, wha-" she couldn't barely speak no more. She had to remain strong to breathe and fight this immense power. She would try to move her arms but nothing was happening. She now completely left the situation to Aevus to deal with these two, now worrying about herself now.

Zahra's attempted escape came at a rather convenient time, at least for the jackal; even as she was preparing to break the ropes, an outcry could be heard in the distance. Many of the members congregated around the platform paused, distracted by the sound, and several either placed their hand on a weapon or looked as if they ready to flee. The distraction would be adequate, however, as no one noticed Zahra's breakout immediately; the ropes had snapped, and the female Beast-Clansman had already started on her escape. Already at her full speed, the jackal looked as though she would make it towards the alley where the clamor was coming from without anyone being able to stop her. Indeed, the one or two who might have attempted to get in her way were easily bowled over; they were just regular Pluses, not Shinigami, and it was no surprise that they couldn't stand up to Zahra.
“Bind, Kagosen.”
Zahra's senses would catch the faintest of sounds, like something uncoiling, before a criss-crossed net of wires suddenly materialized in her path. She would have ample warning this time, however, and would be able to avoid it rather than crash head-first into it as she had before. However she chose to react to it, her pursuer would appear behind her; dressed in a Shinigami's robe, a young woman with short, raven-black hair stood in a ready stance, wires twisted around each of her fingers and leading to the mesh that had stopped Zahra in her tracks. The woman used deft manipulations of her hands to guide the wires, and each motion seemed to cause them to twist about like a marionette's strings, heeding her commands.
“Well, well, it appears this beast will not be so easily caged...” The woman smirked, confident in her abilities. “Be a good girl and let me capture you quietly, lest I accidentally flay that pretty coat from your flesh. He wouldn't be happy if I let you get away.”

“Nngh!” Both of the men that faced Aevus staggered under the force of his spiritual pressure. Neither fell completely, but both were clearly straining under the weight, indicating that while they were close in power to the Shinigami, they were still inferior. Both pushed through it, however, and the man with the sword advanced while both Zeferoth and Natsumi were shoved roughly to the ground, the gulf in power between themselves and Aevus almost suffocating for them as he released the gravitational effects of his spiritual strength. The one with the sword did not seem to be a Shinigami, if his outfit and worn weapon were any indication, but the man was at least trained as a swordsman based on the ease with which he held his combat stance.
“Geki.” Even as the swordsman approached Aevus, his speed picking up as he became more accustomed to the weight bearing down on him, a flash of light from the alleyway would hit the Shinigami if he did not react quickly. And it would be difficult, given that there was no indication aside from the single word spoken softly. If it struck, then Aevus would find his body unresponsive, paralysis overtaking him completely for a minute. Aevus would have to deal with both attacks coming at once; if he moved to avoid the sword slash, the paralyzing spell would likely bind him and stop his motions long enough for another to connect, while avoiding the spell first might leave an opening, especially without his blade drawn. Doing so while being attacked would not be easy; Aevus would need to get some room to draw his sword without being caught in a moment of vulnerability.
It would likely be in his best interest to release his gravitational pressure as well; judging by the fact that both men seemed somewhat resistant, they were strong enough to avoid being crushed to the ground but not enough to simply shrug it off. They could still move freely, meaning that it was a waste of time to continue acting in this manner. It would help to have extra allies available, especially since the man who had cast the first spell had disappeared. Had he retreated in order to warn his comrades, or had he hidden to attack from a better angle? Either way, it was possible that they would have to prepare for a lot more fighting, and it would be best for all three of them to be ready.

Zeferoth slammed to the ground when the gravity around him suddenly increased. He could not hold himself up no matter how hard he tried. He saw that the two legger that he was attacking also struggling, so that meant that he was not the cause of it. He turned his head, and saw the black two legger he was with standing fine. So he was the one that has done this. He growled loudly at the black two legger. Angry that he interfered instead of doing what he suggested.
“We don’t know who it is you follow, but it was unwise to threaten my friend here. I can release him upon you, if you want to die a most gruesome death or, "Perhaps of course you could give us the information we’re looking for...yet maybe i’ll still let him loose upon you. Who knows, this day is riddled with many possibilities.” Zeferoth growled louder when the black two legger said that he may release Zeferoth on them even if they cooperated. Then why the hell did he just pull this? Zeferoth wondered angrily.
It didn't seem to matter, for the two legger with the sword seemed to over come the force that was pushing on him and attack the two legger that was keeping Zeferoth pinned. "RELEASE ME YOU FOOL!" Zeferoth shouted eager to resume his fight. He knew now that the man must die, and of course the weak one got away. He will have to deal with his two legger when the threat was dealt with. He continued to struggle to get free seeing the man with the sword start to attack the black two legger. He will regret that decision.

“Geki.” Aevus would act swiftly, moving upon his toes immediately after hearing that very phrase. The use of kido had always put him on edge and well he wanted to avoid anything that related to it. He wasn’t one for the craft for he couldn’t quite pick it up and well magic spells never interested the man, but he did respect the dangers of the abilities that they could entail. He slept through all of the classes pertaining to the very subject, except for one. One where his teacher performed a kido to keep him awake throughout the rest of his lecture and teach him a lesson on the strengths of the very craft.
The pale faced reaper shifted his stance using his acrobatics to dash to the side of the right wall of that alley. Forcing himself to run across it shortly while utilizing advanced air ground to keep himself stable as he unsheathed his blade reversed gripped."RELEASE ME YOU FOOL!" Well he wasn’t wrong there, he was a fool and wouldn’t argue with that. That guilt riddled look wouldn’t fade as he released his gravitational pressure over his allies and of course his target.
Jumping off the wall with his blade shortly extended he would attempt to rid the man of his blade, by severing his hand at the wrist with a swift reverse slash. He felt no pity doing that, a heavy sigh roughly leaving him as he caught himself as he landed on the ground behind the potentially unarmed man, his blade now shifting to the back of the mans neck.“A smart man knows when he’s beat, a wiser man also knows when to give up and a fool knows neither.” He would whisper this behind him, hopefully he wouldn’t have to kill him. “Which of the three are you?.”
Zahra was looking around her surroundings, trying to figure out where she could run to. Thankfully, when she actually broke free from her bindings, a huge noise had distracted pretty much everyone. It gave her the opening she needed to break free and run pretty much full tilt towards the alley that she could see. She did end up having some people stand in her way, but she was easily able to barrel them over on her way to her escape route. She was flicking her ears around, trying to catch any kind of sound that might be coming her way.
It was then that she started to hear something. It was rather faint, but this time, she actually had warning that something was going to happen to her. She started to see the wire and immediately started to run towards her building on the left. She was going to try to get away using the building itself. Once she got to the bottom of the building, she quickly looked up and started to climb as quickly as she could. It was then that she saw an open window. It was her opportunity! She was aiming for that open window and if she got the chance to reach the window, she would quickly go through the window and try to escape by running through that room and out the other side.

As she watched the scene happened, she saw Zef scream out loud to release himself and she couldn't agree anymore. She gasped for air, trying to catch herself from passing out. The strong spiritual pressure hold finally becomes released as she quickly pulls herself up, gasping for air. She is free! She can even breathe! She took heavy breathes trying to quickly catch up before something happens but it was so sudden. She had to react fast. Aevus was in the middle of combat and she had to act fast.
She sprung up to her feet and quickly aimed her fingers around like a powerful gun was in her palms. Really, she was just preparing herself to use her Hado technique before anything else. She wasn't going to let some bad guys jump her this time! She was becoming more aware of her surroundings as the area around her is emitted with chaos! She watched Aevus for a moment but then scanned her own area to make sure no one would surprise her. The question was.... Was someone planning on jumping her?
(OOC: Sorry for the short and shitty posting! I wanted to get this done before I had to leave for work AND wanted this to press on. Anyways, cheers!)
Aevus's swift moves kept him out of the Kido spell's range, but the release of his spiritual pressure only spurred his foe to action. Rather than try to run, the swordsman prepared himself for his opponent's onslaught, angling his sword to better brace himself for attack. But there was no way he could keep up with Aevus's speed; the Shinigami was just too fast at full speed, and his sword came down with the intent to slice one of the man's hands off. As he did so, however, a voice came seemingly from out of nowhere, and this time, there was little room for avoidance. Had Aevus not been swinging his sword about, so eager to cut through his victim's hand, he might have avoided what was coming a moment later.
“Hado 42: Boruto!”
A line of white light extended between Aevus and his victim. Though the Shinigami's body wouldn't touch the line, his sword would as it swung downwards, and that was enough. Electricity traveled up the blade and sent thousands of volts through the man's body. It wasn't anywhere near enough to be fatal, but certainly would leave his clothes smoking slightly from the blast, maybe even cause him to drop his weapon from the shock. In the end the physical damage was minor, but the effect was still there; Aevus had been forced to cancel his attack by the shock, allowing his opponent time to back away. It was obvious from the look in the man's eyes that he was afraid, unable to keep up with the Shingiami's speed, and he began to back away.
But there was nowhere that the Hado spell could have come from; both ends of the line terminated in nothingness, with no caster to be seen. Was it a trick, or some sort of illusion? Regardless of what caused it, it was obvious that they could not see their target, and without the ability to sense energy, they would be unable to track the attacker... or would they? Of those there, only Natsumi would be able to detect Reiatsu, and she had enough to serve her purposes; though the others wouldn't be able to, she could sense the presence of another Reiatsu source, one that couldn't be seen with the eyes. Though she wouldn't necessarily know it, their opponent was hidden by a Bakudo called Kyakko that hid individuals from view so long as they were strong enough spiritually to avoid detection. Though Natsumi wasn't strong enough to break through the barrier visually, she had one advantage the others did not: she could detect the caster's spiritual presence!
That left their situation as so: Zeferoth and Natsumi were finally unbound, able to act in combat, while Aevus was momentarily stunned. They had an invisible attacker—though only Natsumi would know it until she communicated it to the others—and a swordsman who looked less than confident in his abilities against a full party. Surely this battle would not last too much longer.

Zahra's escape was mostly successful as she clambered up the building, surprising the woman who had expected her to fight head-on. But as the jackal moved towards the window, a wire would wrap tightly around her arm, digging into the flesh and threatening to tug her back down. But the woman on the other end was no match for her captive's strength; though her wires were supernaturally strong, able to constrict without snapping, the woman on the other end of them was not. Despite holding on to her wires, attached to a gauntlet-like device wrapped around each arm, the female Shinigami—for what else could she be, wielding a Zanpaktou?—found herself being tugged forward and soon disengaged the wires to avoid being dragged up the wall as well.
Zahra found her arm quickly freed, and she escaped into the building. The building itself seemed to be some kind of house, and the room she was in was an upstairs hallway. It looked lived-in, but there was no sign of the residents; perhaps the cultists lived there? Either way, it was abandoned now, and there was plenty of time for Zahra to try and make her way across to the far side. Her escape would be blocked, however; though there was an open window on the far side of the hallway, dozens of wires criss-crossed across the opening, and this time they weren't trying to drag her, so her strength would not be enough to simply burst through. No, if she charged head-first, she'd find herself as tangled as she had been upon her capture, and it would be unwise to be caught in such a situation again.
“Now, my prey... I hope you didn't think you were going to escape.” A sound like something unreeling filled the room, and more wires shot up from the stairway that descended down the center of the hallway, twisting around the room and filling a good deal of it with a tangled web of cords. The woman in control of them came up behind her wires, looking pleased; she should well be, for she had caught her captive once more. The windows were both blocked by wires, and the room was a mess of twisted lines that threatened to ensnare someone who walked unwisely among them. Drawing her sword, the female Shinigami held it loosely in one hand; she might not be particularly strong, but even average human strength would cut through a beast with ease should it be sufficiently tangled.
“Now, my pretty little jackal, come here so that I can sacrifice you to the glory of His name!”
Shikai: 2/10
((OOC: Zahra can only move at half speed within the wires to avoid them during combat, and avoiding them requires concentration, meaning that it's harder to react to an attack on the opponent's part. Moving too fast, or without proper concentration, will cause her to become snared.))
Once Zeferoth felt the pressure keeping him pinned to the ground lift, he would leap to his meat with a mighty grunt. He would attack the man from the side attempting to wrap his long strong arms around the man pinning the man's sword arm to his side. Zeferoth would them push them into the nearest wall. He would need to deal with this one first. Hopefully with the man pinned, He would attack the man's ankles with a quick heel stomp to shatter them and keep him from fighting. If the first stomp did not work, he would slam his fist into the man's body while he tried again.
He will deal with the black two legger later. He would need to incapacitate this threat first. He could sense another person in the area however. He couldn't see him for whatever reason, but he was more concerned with the metal claw of the man. He was hoping that they would be able to deal with the cowardly two legger and his magic.
