A playful smile rippled across scaly lips, the serpent's attention on Garret was brief to a degree, simply staring at the male as he did so explain his powers of deduction in deriving that she was, indeed, no normal serpent. As if her ability to speak were not evidence enough, and truly it was adorable, and a flirtatious giggle was expelled from that tiny serpent body as she looked up at him. It was simply delightful, and an opportunity at that. With this perfect clearing as a stage, she could so use to give him a proper display of her capabilities. As well as a display of what she was.
"How astute. And perhaps indeed it would be suitable to give you a proper explanation as to what it is that I am. Though words can only do so much Garret. I think, more fittingly, I should demonstrate what it is that I am. And how it is that I have dealt with hollows in the past." she hissed softly, even with that serpentine voice with that incredibly dangerous tone, she still managed to keep that voice sweet and warm, as if she planned on mauling the man with that soothing motherly voice of hers alone, slithering a ways away from Garret, a solid ten meters away from him before she stood sentinel and allowed her spiritual pressure to be felt, that incredibly positive aura of hers already permeating through the area.
She was well aware that her abilities had easily overpowered common hollows. Such beasts were nothing to her since the reclaiming of her powers. Sure she had had an incredibly hard and arduous start to her life as a mod soul, but that was behind her now and no longer was her blade rusty. Of course she had hardly the time to go straight into training with her abilities, she would need to rely on her ingenuity to ensure that he did not destroy her body. Even if it was a training session she had to be very carful so as not to allow him to break her accidentally. Similarly she would need to be sure not to break him in kind.
For now she would retain her position and not do anything to directly attack or even give away her powers. No she would wait and watch. She would need to fight reactively if she wanted to avoid taking any substantial hits right off the bat, so she remained stationary, rearing her head back and baring her teeth, a gentle hiss escaping her body as she decided to play as though she were going to fight like any normal snake would. Of course her attention also was divided to her environment. The small boulders nearby. The Road itself which also would supply solid material to work with. She needed to keep track of this, dirt was technically solid, but not in clumps large enough for her to properly work with. She'd need to play with what she had, and the further down the line he actually realized that, the better her chance of winning.
Wait, what? What was it that was going on? All the wanderer had asked was for her to simply answer a question with words, not full on want to demonstrate how she did it. The way she spoke though, the words she used, it was something that Garret understood well. It was something he understood far too well. The swordsman remained seated as Hebika slithered away, gaining distance between the two of them. He measured about nine or ten meters between the two, about thirty two feet away. Quite the distance. Far out of Garrets own reach. His range was a little over six feet, so the distance between them was vast. Though Garret did have a way to reach.
It was then that he felt a pressure. It caught the swordsman by surprise, Hebika no doubt noticing the sudden expression on his face. What exactly was he feeling? It felt like, in the best of descriptions, an electrical tingling bearing weight down on him. Was this coming from his new acquaintance? What a stupid question, of course it was coming from her. But what exactly was this? Garret didn't understand what she was releasing, something that nearly everyone who was exposed to the spiritual world should know.
Garret was ignorant. It was incredulous how little he knew about the spiritual world and his own abilities. Things such as reiatsu were foreign to him, never explained. He knew not how to draw upon his own abilities, his own reiatsu. Garret was as blind as a bat when it came to these sort of things. So of course the sudden exposure to Hebika's reiatsu caused him surprise. It was a normal reaction to something he didn't understand.
The pressure wasn't restrictive, rather it felt filled with Hebika's soothing nature. It wasn't oppressive, it was warm. The swordsman got to his feet slowly, making no quick moves that might startle the serpent. Reaching up from beneath his cloak he fiddled around with the collar, loosing it and pulling it over his head. "We don't have a lot of time to do this." He said as the brown leather passed over his head. Tossing the cloak aside Hebika would finally get a good inspection of Garrets body.
The first thing she might note was his size. The man was massive. He was a literal mountain of meat. Muscles clearly defined under every inch of skin, his was a body that fitness junkies would kill to have. It was a warriors body, earned through constant battle. His arms were thick, like those of the great redwood trees. His attire was odd, no doubt, but to Garret who had not yet found a suitable set of armor that would help him in his battles, dressing like what was called a "Bedeesem enthusiast" was good enough for him.
On the topic of Garrets body, looking at it was like looking at the cutting board of some house wives kitchen. It was riddled with scars of various shapes and sizes. Cuts, punctures, what seemed to be a burn or two. One noticeable set though was the one on the right side of his body. A massive scar, shaped incredibly so like a bit mark. Hebika couldn't see it, the ones on his back. His back was even worse than his front. For it was the many wounds that impaled him from behind that had ended his mortal life. Underneath that headband he wore there was yet another memory of a fight, though calling that a fight would be a lie.
The swordsman turned, exposing his back and those old memories to Hebika. It was foolish to turn ones back to their enemy, but Garret had no reason to believe that this "fight" had started yet. Grabbing a hold of his sword he yanked it from the ground, turning and swinging his sword along with the turn. The massive greatsword flew through the air, making its way first horizontally then curving upwards then down, halting in the air as Garret gripped it with both of his hands, pointing it in the little ones direction. When his blade flew through the air Hebika might have noticed it. The grass beneath the swords arc seemed to be pulled with the weapon.
"If this is the way you want it done, so be it." Garret commented, pressing his left foot into the ground before taking off towards Hebika. He pictured it in his mind before hand, planning to to aim his attack slightly to her left. This wasn't a fight, he had no reason to try and actually harm her. He would only try to get the blood flowing. If he hit her even once it was possible that he could destroy her body. His sword was held to his right, pointed behind him as he cleared the distance between himself and his new companion.
When he reached about six feet from her he pulled his arms upward, repositioning his blade over his head, still pointed behind him. Sending power to his arms, Garret swung downwards, aiming to the left of Hebika to miss her completely. There was something else in the swing though. The air that the sword displaced was being dragged behind it, meaning that once that sword struck the ground there was going to be an explosion, if Garret had put his full power into the swing.
He gauged that maybe he swung with around half his strength, so the damage done to the ground would not be as severe. His sword was strike the ground, shattering it beneath it and sending debris into the area. Hebika would no doubt he hit by this if she still stayed where she was. It wouldn't be enough to send her flying, but would be enough to push her a little. When using only half his power, the difference in their strength was not that much. Just enough for Garret to always win a arm wrestling contest with her.
"This sword...it's a nasty thing to be hit by, you know." Garret suddenly began to say, lifting his sword from the ground. "Once upon a time it might have been sharp, but not anymore. All the swinging, the carving, it's dulled its edge considerably. This thing doesn't cut like a sword should, rather it tears whatever it hits apart, like a rock through paper." Garret explained, lifting the gargantuan thing up and looking at Hebika, wherever she now was.

It was truly interesting to finally be in some sort of fight, even as he lunged for her, that blade raised above his head with power behind it, those careful eyes of hers seeing his each and every step as he rushed in with hardly a care, eyes set forward with a vigor to so encroach upon her personal space and unleash his attack. His words from before echoing in her mind as he rushed at her, carefully, more so than she thought he would at the very least, seeing as he seemed to be more the brutish type. Was that presumptuous of her? to think him an artless brawler?
In any case his hesitance to fight had brought her some degree of interest, having thought he would jump at the idea to prove his strength, though this man seemed far more humble than she would have expected, and his words reflected that as he had so taken the tim not only to speak, but to look her over before dashing in, his intellect was, refreshing, certainly he was more careful than the hollows she usually had to kill. But then the last hollows she'd killed were before she'd begun to awaken her powers. Of course, now? Well that was a bit of a different story.
As his blade so swung down, she already knew where it was headed, the sight of his muscles twitching as well as her powers of perception that far outmatched his speed, he was practically bumbling in comparison. Of course she was no speed demon herself and she doubted she ever would be. Even so... As his blade came into her area of proximity she did so decide to do something about it, and as that blade seemed about to strike the ground beside her, instead, the boulder off to the side. It had begun to shift, and crumbled, a soft rumbling as there was the faintest of tremors. Of course she'd used the rock opposite where Garret could see it. The only thing he'd see at first was its thick horn bursting from under the ground to catch that blade, blocking it from striking the ground.
Slowly, the owner of that horn dragged itself from the ground, a soft hiss of steam escaping the stone monster as it tore itself from the confines of the ground and the tunnel it had burst from. The boulder she'd molded it from having been mostly underground, delaying it's rise from the ground and making it's arrival late on a dangerous level, if perhaps more dramatic. But she was hardly interested in impressing her opponent. She was more interested in testing him. And of course, if Garret began to push down on that horn, he would find that it slowly began to push him back, dragging his feet through the dirt if necessary as it stood sentinel, a massive guard, a solid five times Hebika's own mass, making it about the size of a large dog. She'd hollowed some of it's insides to give it better dimensions, but it was still very thick, more like a hollow point bullet than an empty shell, it had ten solid inches of solid rock before a rather small hollow cavity at it's center. Plenty thick.
"Interesting. About rocks that is." She mused, that warm, lovely voice of hers drifting around the monster she had given life to. "While it can certainly rip through paper, there's all kinds of rocks. Shale, Granite, garnet, conglomerate. But the one thing about rocks is, more often than not, theyre not always solid through and through. If they have faults..." That horn would press just a bit harder, and if Garret did not pull his bakkoto away from the beastly beetle's horn, it would begin to bite into his blade, threatening to saw itself through that weapon of his. " It's quite easy to shatter." She murmured, slithering foreward until she was directly underneath the beetle, She had to see after all.
At this level she still almost completely controlled her entities. They could follow the most basic of orders, but being so dense, she had to know what was going on to direct them, or they would simply start ambling about or get confused. Of course, Garret would likely not have too much time to notice this, as another boulder would birth it's own little surprise, this one far less subtle as it exploded from the rock that had been it's home and began charging at Garret from behind, aiming to sandwich him between itself and the beetle, it's entire body a twisted mess of razor-like blades, it's mouth nothing but a maw of twisted razor-sharp teeth as it aimed to slam him into the ground with it's prickly side, not using it's mouth as Hebika was not entirely sure he could survive such a hit yet, no she was still testing him.
In any case that Beetle would seem quite still as her attention focused on the worm's actions. Of course the worm was larger than the beetle, conserving mass by making it's body two intertwined lengths of chorded stone instead of a single solid length, though it would make it no less fearsome as it would begin racing around Garret in circles like a shark eyeing it's dinner. Hebika's strategy being to force him to focus on it instead of her and the beetle standing protectively over her. So long as that worm was fast enough to be too dangerous for him to ignore, she could afford to give minimal focus on the beetle above her, using it more like a shield than an active guard for the time being as she tested, choosing not to launch another attack, but instead to wait and see how he dealt with this new threat.

The jarring sensation of his sword colliding with something solid sent a jarring wave through Garrets arms. His eye widened, noticing what seemed to be a horn jutting from the right side of his vision stopping his sword from colliding with the earth near Hebika. Turning his gaze slightly he saw what it had been that stopped his sword. A beetle of impossible size was emerging from the ground, steam releasing from its body. Garret grit his teeth, pushing back against the beetle as it seemed to effortlessly hold his sword. What is this?, he asked himself, trying to understand what exactly he was looking at. Where had this creature come from? Was it not a rock thar existed in the same spot merely moments before?
No, he had no time to wonder about such things. The beetle was rising, pushing back against Garret. It's strength was tremendous, forcing the man backwards even when he dug his heels into the ground to support himself. Clenching the sword he fought back, trying to force the beetle back down. He couldn't focus on Hebikas words, too preoccupied with a losing battle of strength against this beetle. At some point he released this was a losing battle and such he was going to need to attack from a different angle. Garret quickly stepped back, pulling his sword away from the beetle.
He held it with both hands, arms tucked in and holding the sword so it pointed directly up into the air. Perhaps Garret could pummel it to death with repetitive strikes. It couldn't be any faster than he was, right? As he was about to attack he heard something from behind him, a sudden explosion of sorts. Turning to his left he only caught a glimpse of it before something both slammed into his back and cut into it. Losing his balance for a moment the swordsman stumbled, quickly catching himself as he quickly swung his sword in the direction he had seen whatever it was turn. His sword simply swung through the air. Where did it...
He turned to the right, spotting the worm as it began to make its rounds around him. Garret blinked, his sword lowering slightly as he finally managed to get a look at what he was dealing with. His eye then returned to the beetle that stood over Hebika, noticing that she was hiding beneath the beetle. "Magic?" Garret asked. Was this how Hebika handled the Hollows? Summoning demons from beneath the earth to fight for her? From Garrets struggle against the beetle it was clear they were strong, perhaps even stronger than him. So Hebika was some sort of sorceress? That was the most likely answer to this, some sort of magic user who can summon up demons. There was no way that these creatures were natural, him having never seen such things before. But, at the same time, Garret had seen and fought things that most people were say were not real. There was both a stinging sensation on his back plus the feeling of something. The worms attack cut some of Garrets back, letting the warm blood escape his body and trail down his skin in little trails.
Returning his gaze to the worm, he began to try and think of something to do. What could he do? It was obviously too fast for him to chase, so maybe he should wait for it to get closer. Then do what? If it was anything like the beetle it was no doubt stronger physically than him. Would his sword even be able to cut it? Was him swinging his sword going to do nothing but be a waste of effort? Garret narrowed his eye, watching the worm as best he could and not really paying attention to the beetle or Hebika. Hollows Garret could deal with. So why did this stone worm cause him such pause? It was something he didn't understand, that was for sure. "So this is how you do it, huh? You summon these creatures from somewhere and they do your bidding?" Garret asked, resting his sword on his shoulder to conserve his arms strength.
