Where Have They Gone? {NDE}

['Stalker']

Prime bit her tongue down as her kick was ineffective. She wasn't potential to cause heavy threats physically. She'd watch as this other woman possessed a unique power that blocked its' power and the little boy who was fast just bringing the beast over. She'd land on the ground after the creature falls. She slowly lands and brushes herself off. She looked around herself and quickly heard the creature roar as it fell through the roof. The fight was finally over! She walked over to the two, "Wasn't the best... But you both certainly brought hell to the creature. The nam-" when suddenly chaos would inflict once more.

Play Me

 All the sudden a large laser beam would come out and first go for the boy. Her eyes widen as it passes through and goes for her next. Shit, she needed to use some of her power. She'd vanish to their eyes as she uses her Bringer light. Tiny purple light particles were left behind as she clears the way. She is quickly seen below the ground off the roof now. She'd slide across the ground from her bringer light, panting a bit. It was a quick reaction but she managed to escape the horrific lazy.

Her eyes grow widen as she hears the gillian close to her. It was clear that a hollow just evolved. She'd quickly sprint to cover and get behind a building. She'd peek her head over as the doll begins it's assault against the gillian. Now it's a battle against the beasts, she quickly yells out. "Is anyone still breathing! Respond! This is a chaotic event that requires a life check! RESPOND!" she'd yell out. It was unclear whether she'd receive any feedback, most likely not but it was worth a shot. Prime didn't come armed for this event, so she'd basically left on the side for now, unable to commit anything. She'd stand aside, watching the battle between the monsters occur. She becomes hidden once more from sight when she remained silent having her stealth advantage to hopefully leave her safe.

Her wall had easily negated the monster's blast, and restored her some reiatsu in the process. Since the attack had cost 150 to use, she would gain 75 from the absorption of it. Typically, her fighting style would be to nickle and dime her foe in terms of stamina, but it seemed that this foe had somewhat more endurance than many of the other foes she had fought, as well as the intelligence to not strike out against the walls that she created. So, it was likely that Tsubaki's strategy this fight would be to bind her foe and let the others do the rest.

However, the monster didn't stay in one place long enough for her to lock it down with walls, and allow her new allies to dissect it. Unfortunately, after the young boy launched a burst of force, something that Tsubaki instantly recognized as Hado 1, obviously, Sho (a classic, but how did the young boy know this spell, given that he clearly wasn't a Shinigami? Testing was in order, as Tsubaki was certain that her sealed memories held secrets that this boy would reveal) the monster was launched into the house.

Tsubaki resisted the gut response to look down the hole, as there was a chance that the monster could leap back up and instantly incapacitate her if she wasn't careful. No, it made more sense to stay back for now. The monster would return shortly, and when it did, she'd destroy it. Luckily for her, her energy sensory allowed her to feel the reiatsu build up the first time. Without hesitation, she stepped into the air and created some air ground underneath her.

The first beam ripped upwards at the young child, and Tsubaki briefly hoped that she wouldn't lose a valuable test subject. Then, there was another surge of reiatsu, and Tsubaki knew that she had made the right decision to be prepared. The beam split, and the other one traveled towards her, and the girl who was next to her. Well, who had been next to her. The girl had step techniqued away, and left Tsubaki alone to deal with the beam. No matter, a gluttony wall was manifested in the air in front of Tsubaki, and absorbed the blast easily. Another 75 reiatsu refunded. As long as it attacked like this, she was untouchable.

Then, the monster jumped up onto the roof. For a moment, she feared it would come after her, but instead, it aimed towards the hollow. Bothersome, the Gillian was a test subject of hers, and just starting to be a valid experiment. She couldn't let this creature just kill it. Her hands each formed two prongs, as if she was doing a "live long and prosper" hand symbol, and mentally, she ran through the phrase that she had learned in the academy so many years ago. 

Reciting it in her mind, as well as whispering it under her breath, she overlayed the familiar words over each other, "Arise god of thunder! Awake mother of storms! Unleash the lighting on the sinners!" With the last word said, arcs of lightning flew from each prong of her fingers, four bolts total, two of them, the upper ones, increased in potency. Those ones would be 220, the others 200. Sure, her strength was lacking in some areas, but the sheer number would make up for individual potency. The arcs would rip through the air in an instant, and blast the Doll in the head, heart, and shoulders, incapacitating and possibly killing it.

Nathan was restricting himself. Being a mere boy, didn’t know that he had an immense amount of raw power that could deal incredible damage, nor did he care for such strength. In fact, he had only become aware of it when he channeled one of the techniques he learned from that friendly Shinigami a while back. However, he didn’t realize that he could toss such a dwarfing monster like a rag doll into a building, destroying the structure.

He didn’t want to cause the thing harm, for as evil as it seemed, Nathan had a direct link into its mind. It was only a matter of time that until the monster would reveal its intentions to him so he could truly understand it. This indiscriminate rampage isn’t natural and Nathan wanted to help the creature while keeping everyone else safe and alive. His use of Hado #1: Sho did cause the monster pain, and Nathan felt it as he delivered the blow. He clenched his teeth as the monster went down, but stared intently at it. It was awake and he knew it.

In fact, the monster was thinking. Nathan wasn’t sure how advanced and intelligent these thoughts were, but he did understand two things: he was the next target of the monster’s attacks, and the other two girls would soon follow. It felt threatened by them, which only made sense. Nathan, who should be far more concerned with his own safety at the moment, could only feel pity for the creature of violence before him. “Please stop…” he begged it, screaming with his high-pitched, desperate voice to make sure the words reached its ears, but the child didn’t rely on his words. He wasn’t sure that they could pierce the monster, and he could try to press an emotion onto it with his power, but the monster would be too strong and resist.

Nathan, through his insight into the doll’s consciousness, learned that he would soon have a beam attack heading toward him that would then change its course to strike the other two girls. He also knew of the woman’s power based on his insight into her consciousness, for she was always analyzing the situation and thinking of ways to combat the doll’s attacks. Therefore, Marcus knew that she would benefit from countering the beam, so he dodged twenty feet back with a simple Shunpo at the last minute, his ability to predict the beam allowing him to time the dodge so well. Even as a child, Nathan could understand the combat situation, though he wasn’t very bright in other aspects.

Now, Nathan watched the hollow change its focus to the newly transformed white-faced monster known to most as hollows, though Nathan was more than happy referring to them as white-faces. The child couldn’t bear to even imagine the type of bloodshed that might come if they fought, so he did everything he could to prevent a conflict. The white-face was a bit weaker than the doll, so Nathan loaded an emotional state of mind onto him that could best be summarized with one word: run. The hollow would suddenly want to run away as fast and as desperately as possible, only stopping when he finds a place he could refer to as “home,” at least for the night. The state of mind would wear off over time, for emotions come and go. However, it would stop the violence for the time being.

But that wasn’t enough. The woman with the walls had other plans too, plans that put Nathan in a panic. She also wanted to protect the hollow, but she had offensive measures that would hurt or even kill the creature. “No!” Nathan screamed at her right before she began chanting an incantation with words Nathan was familiar with. He knew this technique, and he would have to use it to stop her. When the woman named Tsubaki, as he learned from her thoughts, began the incantation, Nathan chanted along side her.

“Arise god of thunder! Awake mother of storms! Unleash the lighting on the sinners! Hado #4: Byakurai” The child’s hands were spread out just as Tsubaki’s were, for he understood how she created so many blasts of lightning with the arrangement of her hands. There were only difference two differences between the two: Nathan’s lightning is significantly more powerful than that of Tsubaki, making a collision between the two go in his favor. The other difference is that Nathan’s task was far more difficult. He hoped to intercept Tsubaki’s lightning, such a desperate move for a young soul that only hoped to preserve life. It was the only chance he would have to protect the monster, and he had to take it. In a romantic movie that followed a majestic super-hero that saved the day against all odds, Nathan’s four bolts would counter Tsubaki’s and they’d all live happily ever after.

But the reality was that Nathan just wasn’t skilled with long-ranged accuracy or predicting the paths of the lightning. He would be lucky to have one of his bolts intercept Tsubaki’s, but there was such low probability for such a thing. He would have to watch helplessly as his attempt failed and the creature would be left to defend itself or be hit. “NO!” he cried, contempt in his heart slowly rising. But this hate wasn’t directed at Tsubaki, for he was at fault. He couldn’t save any of them, and this could very well be the end for the doll. If it couldn’t survive, Nathan was sure that he would learn its intentions through its final thoughts, but that wasn’t what he wanted. The child had nothing to do but watch as he learned of the creature’s fate.

The golden beam of reiatsu soared through the air being evaded by the three individual nosiness. Another wall appeared in front of the female and the golden beam vanished to which the doll released another massive roar of rage. As it rushed over towards the massive hollow it heard the scream of the small boy. Lucky for it that boy was one who didn't believe that killing was correct. He was mistaken and that was going to cost him and this skinless girl life. As the lightning kido moved through the air down towards the doll the body of the beast stopped moving and the head actually turned around.

Just as the bolts of lightning were about three feet from the body of the doll the center of the beast actually split apart as if it was cut in half. In the next moment the lightning struck the ground behind with the doll still standing yet in two halves looking up at the boy and the girl. Then all of a sudden the two halves grew and formed into two wholes. How was this possible there were two of the beast now. One was looking up at the girl and the other was starring at the boy. In the next moment both beasts let out a howling screech which caused the nearby glass windows of the homes to shatter.

The doll on the left extended its right arm out while the one of the left did the opposite which allowed them to . . hold hands? Then all of a sudden the doll on the left pulled forwards and threw the other doll right at the female. The doll would flight through the air right towards her. As it flew though it began to spin appearing like a ball that upon arrival would slam into her. The other doll rushed over the surface of the ground then leaped onto the roof of a close building. He was near the boy and reaching upwards both it's arms extended like before in an attempt to grab ahold of the boy's legs and then pull him downwards slamming him into the ground.

Death-Claw remained in the shadows even in his Gillian form. He did not grow really and was content to watch the other's fight the creature. The wolf masked Gillian watched patiently as the creature seemed to split itself in half and then multiply from the two halves. That was certainly an interesting ability. His right arm was still in it's blade form, but now it was time for him to attack from a distance. He morphed his left hand into a barrel of a sub-machine gun and took aim at the creature that was lunging at the boy. He moved closer and fired five bullets from his arm in rapid succession. He would hit the creature right in the back with the metal projectiles.

Alright posting order. Going with Prime, Tsubaki, then finally Nathan. After that I'll be posting and we can repeat the order with Death-Claw in front.

[Takara Takeda]

Takara moved through the small town of hidden free Quincy. She had been traveling through the area for the last few days trying to pick up any traces of other Mod Souls. So far she hadn't been able to find any other Mod Soul since she left Karakura town and even there she had only met the half breed boy by the name of Jak. That had been the reason for this search yet only a few minutes ago Takara had sensed the reiatsu of a few different races all in this one town. Now she was entering it and saw that a decent portion in the center was destroyed. That was when she saw a few individuals in the air and a strange looking purple creature with golden markings that she assumed to be its eyes.

"Along with the reiatsu signature coming off of it and its form the most logical conclusion is that these people are dealing with a doll." Takara looked around the area and extended her sensory capabilities trying to pick up the location of the Bount who no doubt had to be near by his creature. It was strange though Takara couldn't find him which meant that he had to be suppression his reiatsu. Yet that idea didn't make sense his ability was released so how was he cloaking his presence? That was when Takara saw that the creature was rushing towards a boy with a reiatsu signature that Takara didn't understand. "I feel nearly every race emanating from him. . . what type of creature is he?"

That was when Takara saw that there was in fact a large Gillian hollow in the town that was hiding in between the buildings. She felt like a fool for a moment as his reiatsu signature had always been presence yet she had been to distracted by the small boy and the doll to actually recognize it. There of course was a Shinigami here as well and the reiatsu of dozens if not hundreds of Quincy. Takara saw that there were two of these dolls and that they were about to attack. What she saw next though was a complete surprise one was moving right up at the Shinigami spinning like a boll while the other rushed the small boy.

Takara took more interest in the small boy yet even still felt that she could eliminate these pests faster then any of these other entities. All of a sudden Takara's reiatsu spiked and she called on the Omega Arsenal. Two large golden broadswords materialized one on each side of her head as she looked up towards the group. It was then that both swords seemed to be fired from their position up through the air moving with only a blur. All of a sudden the doll that was spinning right towards the Shinigami would find itself impaled by the sword. The other doll was being attacked by the Gillian while at the same time the other sword moved upwards Takara had taken special care to aim perfectly to make a point to this strange boy. The sword would more then likely pierced through the back of the doll's head and continue to move right past the side of the boy's face until it went far enough away that it vanished from existence.

(OOC: Honestly, if people fail to post to this adventure, they will receive reduced TP when it ends (meaning if they only post for 3 of the 4 pages, they only get 3 pages of TP) and if they die/are kicked, they will get no TP. So, that's an incentive (and is in the rules, it isn't a vindictive mod thing))

Trivial, dealing with these things was simply trivial. While Tsubaki couldn't kill the dolls with cutback, as they were dolls, a war of attrition would be hers to win. The doll had significant wind up time, and was being launched through the air, so it could follow only a direct path. And so, Tsubaki summoned a wall of her Bakkoto, a Gluttony Wall, in it's path. The wall had a durability of 500, which would be sufficent to stop the physical attack, although the wall would crack.

Simply contacting with the wall would drain the doll of 200 reiatsu, although the resulting gravity would cause it to fall. But where would it fall? Onto another Gluttony wall, which Tsubaki had created, draining it of another 200 reiatsu, for a total of 400 reiatsu in the few moments. But the Doll wouldn't have the chance to move, before it could even, suddenly there were more walls around it. Above it, behind it, to the left and right, were now Pride Walls, and it would have to break through those, all 4 of them, before it could move. Each had a durability of 800 at the moment, and every moment that it stayed put, it would lose more reiatsu. It was trapped, and Tsubaki was going to bleed it dry, leaving the newcomer and her other allies to deal with the other half of the creature.

(OOC: I sincerely apologize for the hold up of this event. I've had a series of my own events that occurred from schooling to my new job holding me up. I've finally acquired the free time I needed this week to post for THIS thread. I promise to not hold up this event again and will even grant Asmo permission to boot me if I take too long too post. I hope y'all accept this and we'll act like this never happened. -Prime)

Prime was prone right now. She clearly wasn't that strong to handle the beast just herself. She knew being a hero here was a fatal straw to draw if she continued to act aggressively towards the creatures now. She was witnessing a clusterfuck now. Just what in the hell was going on now?! She was watching the sight from a decent distance but she was probably still traceable. Prime had a few options in her head but she wasn't going to leave this area at all. LEAVING is no option. She would slowly get up to her knees and quickly bringer light off, avoiding further actions of the stirred up fight.

She would reappear on a building directly a few hundred yards (Roughly 200) away from the scene. Jill was not specialist in hiding from these fights but she was crouched down, understanding that the situation may be possibly under control for the time being. The Gillian and the Doll fight is like a Godzilla movie almost, with two monsters fighting it up. Just then, another face decided to show up. Jill quickly slammed her hands down and quickly slammed her body back down. Remain in the shadows.... That's the key advantage to this all.

Jill felt little for the boy or the shinigami and certainly none for that... Monster gillian but she was more concerned of her own safety over the rest of them. Rude? Jill doesn't think so. She watched at a distance, observing her playground erupt in chaos in front of her. Several of the people were being slained but from this point Jill didn't give a fuck. She could have these individuals fight the creatures then show up after it was all over. Or... She could simply stay hidden the whole time while they had their little fight down there. Jill gave lots of thought into it but whatever the case will be, Jill remained a distance from the scene.

Nathan felt the monster’s entity split into two, but they still shared one consciousness. He could hear its – their thoughts. He knew their intentions. He knew everyone’s intentions. The Tsubaki woman was strong enough to fight off the monster with ease. She even intended to kill it. The woman named Jill was running away into the safety of her shadows, intending to stay out of harm. The Hollow, Death-Claw, hoped to keep out of danger as well and avoid the dolls. And then there was a new arrival, a Shinigami, who sought to kill the doll as well.

And then there was Nathan, who wanted only to keep everyone safe and happy. Who didn’t want any more fighting or pain or lightning or swords. The creature had a consciousness and it could be reasoned with, but Nathan wasn’t strong enough. He could yet make it feel compassion and understanding he did. He couldn’t show it his memories or the memories of those around him. He couldn’t teach it to understand, all because he was too weak.

Nathan needed to avoid the doll’s attack, so he used Shunpo to move back approximately fifteen meters. It was his only option. After all, he had no means of stopping the Shinigami from firing her blade at the doll. He wasn’t strong enough to even stop the blade yet. And if he tried, the monster would undoubtedly crush him. Nathan was helpless in every sense of the world. He couldn’t help himself, the doll, or anyone else that was fighting this pointless battle. He was doomed to watch the doll die.

Well it seemed that the individuals in this town or at least the ones that had recently arrived were more then capable of handling themselves even against the might of a doll that could clone itself. The first doll that had rushed after the small boy who had the abilities of a Shinigami that he had been displaying so far as his primary abilities had been shot with a handful of large bullets from the gillan while almost at the same time the sword from the Mod Soul had pierced through it's head from behind. The boy had utilized shunpo to get away when he could. The body of that doll fell to the ground and stopped moving as if the thing had actually finally been killed.

The second doll whether it be the actual clone or not couldn't tell had been outclassed by the strength of the rogue Shinigami alone. Just as it was reaching her and victory against her was more then anticipated it seemed it was locked inside walls being trapped inside a large box only to feel the reiatsu it held being drained. It only took a moment to realize the only way to get out of this while keeping his master in the game against these individuals. The doll hadn't been able to break through the wall prior so trying to do so right now was pointless. All of a sudden though the walls that enclosed around the doll would burst and shatter as the doll exploded from the inside destroying itself.

So it seemed that the doll had been defeated and that all that was left to do was find the Bount and kill him. That was what it would appear when really the doll that had blown itself up was nothing more then what appeared to be tiny purple ashes floating down to the ground kinda like snow flakes. It would be about thirty seconds, but when the ashes started to touch the ground they began to shift moving slightly. It was then that they took on the form of the doll yet were the size of a grain of rice. It made little difference there were hundreds of them and instead of rushing together to reform they moved other slightly onto the doll that laid on the ground. It took a few moments, but all of a sudden the doll got back up and began to grow in size rapidly. It only took a few moments for him to reach about twenty feet. How would everyone deal with this new development?

The doll had exploded, and her walls had contained the force of the explosion. Of course, the walls themselves were destroyed, but that was unimportant. Tsubaki had even recouped some of her lost reiatsu from the explosion, as the gluttony walls devoured the reiatsu and converted it into her own. And luckily, the monster's controller would be drained appropriately for contact with the walls. Tsubaki was more than capable of handling the rest of this mission on her own.

Hopefully, she wouldn't have to. The new arrival, a mod soul she suspected based on reiatsu signature, had combined forces with the Gillian to neutralize the second doll. Excellent. She didn't respond to her fellow compatriots, least of all the Fullbringer assassin and the glowing child, who seemed to be running away from the fight. And while she didn't blame them...no, that was a lie. She blamed them for running. Running was a show of weakness, and Tsubaki would not, absolutely would not, tolerate such weakness amongst her allies.

Except, there was an issue. The Doll was reforming, and it was doing so quickly, growing in size. Tsubaki growled slightly. "Everyone else, please focus on that foe. I'll locate and neutralize it's master." That wasn't a goal. That was a promise. A guarantee. Because the thing was, Tsubaki had solid energy sensory. And the Bount, wherever he was, was using a release. Which meant that he couldn't hope to conceal his reiatsu.

And so, Tsubaki took to the air, rapidly ascending using airground. And she would run around the town from the skies, using her ES and her analyzing capabilities, to find the master of the dolls. And once she did, she would dissect him slowly, and while he was still alive.
