School Visit (Closed Training)

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru Kuchiki found herself back in Tokyo. This time, it wasn't just on her free time. She was actually on a mission. She had heard from her division that there was at least one hollow running rampant in Tokyo. She quickly volunteered to go and take care of it. Since she was now a Third Seat, she wasn't asked if she needed backup. They was starting to realize that she was more than capable of taking care of herself. So, she found herself in Asmoskon's hometown, looking for hollows and wondering what he was up to at this moment.

She looked pretty thoroughly through the main part, or the heart, of Tokyo. Surprisingly, she didn't find any kind of disturbance like that. She assumed that they would be drawn here in the heart of the city. She thought that maybe the sun was making them leave the vicinity. But, she knew the intel was good on this hollow. So there was a hollow in this city. She just had to try to figure out where in the hell it was. She started to spread out from the city's center, hoping to find something.

It was then that she felt it. She could feel Asmoskon's reiatsu. She knew that he had to be close by. She continued her search and eventually got to where Asmoskon was. She stopped in the air above the school's courtyard. Her school was nothing like this, but it was nice. There was a huge courtyard that was fenced in by a black fence. In the center of this courtyard, sat the school. It was three buildings, all connected by hallways and she could see that the school was buzzing at this time of day. She couldn't see him, but it was interesting to see his school. 

She then started to look around to see if she could feel the hollow's presence. She wasn't too good at energy sensing, but she would be able to tell when it was close. It wasn't much, but it gives her a little head's up and she knows what direction the attack would be coming from. She felt Rivu~aiasan stirring. Thank you for keeping an eye on me my dear one. I know I don't thank you enough and that will change. But, please, if I need your power, please give it to me. I appreciate all you do for me. She then unsheathed her sword and rubbed the blade. She hoped that he would like it.

Just then, she felt a presence. She got into her stance and saw the hollow. It was huge. It looked like some kind of bird thing. But, the more she looked at it, it reminded her more of an gargoyle. It had at least a five foot wingspan, probably bigger, leathery wings. It had large talons on its hands and feet instead of nails. Its tail was as long as its wingspan. The hollow mask was pretty generic, but it was coming at her fast and it seemed like it was pissed. She now knew why some other shinigami were having some problems with this one. 

It was moving so quick, she figured she might be able to power through it. It came at her head on and she had her zanpaktou up, blade out, to take the beast. It hit her full force, but thankfully, she was able to stand up to its strength, if just barely. The only problem was that his attack angled her down towards the school. She was able to look back towards it and knew that she was going to be hitting the side of the building. She pushed the beast back, but due to the sheer bulk of this hollow, she couldn't move it too far. Then, she felt the building give while she got rammed against it from the hollow. It got off and landed on the ground. 

She quickly got out of the huge crater it had created. She looked and saw humans looking at the weird indent that was now in the building. It was then she saw Asmoskon. He was looking out with everyone else. Their eyes connected. She pointed down towards the courtyard, gave him a wink and then headed down to the ground. The hollow started to create holes in the ground everywhere and people were going crazy. She ran up behind the beast and was ready for the killing blow, but it moved.

She cursed herself inwardly that it didn't hit, but she did make a nice slash on the hollow's body, which she guessed was a plus. She quickly glanced around and noticed that there were no souls around, but all the kids and teachers were around. Luckily for her, they were all running out of the school's grounds and to safety. This fight must look weird, with just holes appearing out of nowhere. She engaged the hollow again, at least trying to damage some part of it. She kept it at bay until Asmoskon joined in the fray. She would need the help just based off this hollow's mass.

[✠Asmoskon Masurao✠]

Midday during the week what else could possibly go different than usual. Well actually what Asmoskon didn’t consider that definition to be for his life was occurring? Over the last week Asmoskon hadn’t been in an encounter with a raging hollow. It was if they knew that he was in Tokyo and were tired of his protection. While it was actually relaxing it was strange for the young man.

Over the weekend Asmoskon had searched through Tokyo. He went through back allies and the sewers even to attempt to find some kind of disturbance that had been his goal. It just seemed like it was impossible that nothing could go wrong. Not once since he had moved to Tokyo had there gone by a total of five days without some kind of incident relating to the spiritual entities. It seemed like something was definitely wrong.

That feeling hadn’t stopped Asmoskon from attending school. Though Asmoskon knew his true obligation was the protection of innocence and balance. It didn’t hurt to actually continue his human life as well. So earlier in the morning he had gotten ready and made his way to the high school. It hadn’t taken long and for once he was actually on time.

It had been about three minutes previous to the collision that Asmoskon started to sense another Reiatsu in the area. It took him only a few moments to recognize the signature too Hotaru. Asmoskon although happy by her obvious arrival wasn’t exactly sure why she would come during the day to see him that normally was only problematic. Asmoskon’s instructor was at the moment going over rather advanced mathematics that the boy seemed to push aside. Asmoskon had a feeling that whatever reason there was no attack was also connected to Hotaru’s arrival.

The black haired Quincy began to question whether or not to leave school. It would only cause harm to him in a short term however he wasn’t actually sure if Hotaru had just come to spent time with him in secret. If that were the case than Asmoskon would be focusing far too much on his spiritual life and not enough on his life as an actual human. In a way Asmoskon couldn’t believe himself though. Hotaru might in fact be a deceased human from some time ago, but she was who he trusted and was currently involved with.

Just as Asmoskon had come to the conclusion to speak with her he sensed another Reiatsu. This entity was corrupted. The vile energy that Asmoskon sensed from it makes his skin start to twitch in resentment. How could such a thing even permit itself to exist? That seemed to be the question his body asked as he began to stand absentmindedly.

It the next instant the wall next to him was crushed. Asmoskon fell to the floor of the classroom the loud ring in his ears starting to fade almost as fast as they had arrived. Turning over on his right shoulder as he began to stand upward Asmoskon could make out the Shinigami uniform. As he stood he saw that it was Hotaru and that the Reiatsu he sensed belong to a grotesque looking hollow. Asmoskon’s eyes connection only for a moment with Hotaru however in that moment Asmoskon attempted to sent a message of his assistance to her.

In the next moment both spiritual entities had vanished and Asmoskon knew he would need to aid Hotaru. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust her to take care of the hollow. More though that he wished to beast to be taken care off swiftly to prevent further damage and freight. Already students and teachers alike were rushing from the classroom and throughout the school looking for some guarantee of safety. Asmoskon knew that he would need to be careful in order to avoid human seeing him in a bad position.

Rushing from the classroom to the top of the roof Asmoskon materializes his pitch black longbow. Once at the top of the roof Asmoskon looks down over to see Hotaru and the hollow clashing at one another in the courtyard. Grasping the spin of his bow with his left hand Asmoskon pulls back the bowstring with his right index and middle fingers. Channeling his Reiatsu into the dark red arrow Asmoskon takes careful aim not wanting to strike Hotaru by mistake.

In the next moment Asmoskon releases his grip on the bowstring sending out three dark red arrows toward the courtyard. The three arrows that had been fired off moved with considerable speed for a weaker Quincy. Asmoskon guided each arrow downward toward the location of the hollow. It was an easy attempt to make hopefully ensuring Hotaru’s safety. Each arrow was aimed for a specific location. Left thigh, Right shoulder, and the Head each of these places was essential to any combatant. Asmoskon knew that if any of these areas were damaged severely Hotaru would be able to deal with the hollow swiftly and far more effectively.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru was wrestling with this huge hollow. It was insane that one this big was off the radar long enough for some shinigami to get injured. She powered through most of its attack, jumping around to try to confuse it long enough to get some nice shots it. During this was when she felt something fairly quick coming from behind her. She knew that there was only one thing that could be coming in fast enough and that soon after she met Asmoskon, his arrows.

She quickly jumped out of the way and watched as three of the arrows flew in and was heading straight to the hollow. She quickly got the hollow's attention by stabbing at its tail. Right when it looked over, two of the three arrows hit their mark. The one that Asmoskon aimed for the hollow's mask got sideswiped while the hollow was trying to attack her. The other two, however, were easily able to hit their respective marks. The hollow started to howl in pain. While she was getting ready to attack again, the hollow stared at her and knew that it was angry.

It was also curious that when the hollow was growling, it almost sounded like it was trying to say words. She had heard of some hollows being strong and old enough to gain speech and some kind of intellect. She didn't figure that this one could be one, but you never know. But, from the intel she received before she even got here that it could be more than one hollow terrorizing this city. They told her at least one and they wanted her to thoroughly check the city before she left, to make sure she took care of the stronger hollows.

Well, now the hollow was pissed. It was interesting to watch it fight. In its anger, it really left itself open. She dodged a few blows and got in a few stabs to its body. It was now roaring in anger and pain. She got back into her fighting stance, feeling Rivu~aiasan right at the surface, ready to be called upon if she needed him. But, she didn't think she would need him this time. Thank you Rivu~aiasan, but I think I can handle this hollow with Asmos' help. If you wish, stay and see if there's anything that I don't see that can help.  

The hollow charged at her. She took a deep breath and tried to gauge the distance and strength he was coming at her. One deep breath, two deep breaths. On the third, she jumped up on the things back. Before it could kick her off, she jumped up over its head and sliced completely down the hollow's mask. Once she landed, she looked up and watched the hell butterfly form and take the poor soul to Soul Society. While it flew, she put her hands together in prayer. She bowed her head and said, "Poor lost soul, I hope you find peace in Soul Society."

She then cleaned her sword on her pants and sheathed it. She made sure that it was secured on her belt. She then walked around the school grounds. This school was huge. She remember her schooling was much different than this. Since she was a female and was supposed to take care of the home, they would get home schooled while the men went out and learned the art of war and work. But, she has to admit that her home schooling was much different than what other girls experienced.

Her home schooling was learning the samurai arts and the Bushido way. She learned her morals, honor and loyalty from what her father taught her. She always looks back on her human life fondly. It was one with a close family around her and she was surrounded in a loving environment everywhere. She was luckier than most, which was good. The buildings were very tall, but so was everything else in this world now. She sees all the damage the hollow did and looks and sees the humans slowly walking back to the school. 

She looked up and faintly saw a figure on the roof. She knew it was Asmoskon. For a minute, she was wondering why he didn't come down here, but then she remembered. Quincy are still human. Everyone would have seen him draw a bow out of nowhere and then shoot at something that no one else could see. She was pretty sure that the humans would then want to try to study him or some such thing. It was good he went up to the roof and she was glad for the back-up. She figured that she better let him know what's going on.

She ran up to the roof and landed rather lightly. A huge smile spread across her face. She ran up and hugged Asmoskon tight. She whispers in his ear during the hug, "I missed you Asmos." Then, she stood up and straightened out her uniform. She stayed close to Asmoskon while she explained the predicament. "It's great to see you Asmoskon, but I'm here on a mission. I was told from our intel that at least one hollow was rampaging here, taking out shinigami. I volunteered, of course, and since I'm third seat, they didn't ask me if I wanted backup. But, I knew you would be here, and you're all the back up I need. If there was one huge one, I'm pretty sure there's going to be more. Can you think of any good places hollows could hang out around here?"

[✠Asmoskon Masurao✠]

From his perched top of the roof Asmoskon watched Hotaru's exchange against the hollow. He was both happy and yet surprised slightly that Hotaru had somehow been able to interpret his arrows. Although he knew she was not weak he hadn't thought she would be able to accomplish such a feat. It seemed that Hotaru had pushed further into her potential than Asmoskon would have anticipated. Along with that Asmoskon wasn't exactly sure if he met her own stride and that he might be falling behind his own partner.

It had been even more apparent that Hotaru's skills had improved due to her display against the hollow. She fought in a much more advanced version of how she always seemed too prefer. Asmoskon was ready to fire off additional arrows if he saw something was about to go wrong, but not once did that actually occur. He continued to watch as Hotaru slashed through the flesh of he hollow sending blood spraying onto the ground. Asmoskon was impressed to say the least at Hotaru's advancements.

In he last few moments Asmoskon was quite shocked at how nimble Hotaru seemed to have become. Asmoskon wouldn't have expected such an assault without the aid of a stepping attack from such a brutal samurai. Watching as the hollow roared in pain and rage Asmoskon knew that its time of life was over. In the next moment its head was cleaved in half and its body vanished from sight. The next few moments consisted of Hotaru sending the hell butterfly to the spirit world and her praying for the soul of the hollow.

Now it seemed that Hotaru was intent on speaking with Asmoskon. The black haired teen dematerialized his bow and stood awaiting Hotaru. He wasn't surprised that the female Shinigami that had become so close to him simply rushed forward and embraced him. Asmoskon couldn't help, but feel the same toward her. Since they had met each other they had fought beside multiple times. It might not be something almost anyone would allow, but that wasn't something to keep him from her.

Asmoskon listened closing as Hotaru explained her arrival and the details of her mission. It seemed that Asmoskon had been correct by assuming something large scale was going on in Tokyo. Hotaru had said that multiple Shinigami had been taken out. That was all the information Asmoskon needed to know that there was some type of plan behind everything. He wasn't sure if it was some powerful hollow or an Arrancar.

Hotaru had said multiple things tat could be helpful yet Asmoskon needed to thing of some way to find these hollows. In truth though Tokyo was so large that they could be nearly anywhere. Not only that, but Asmoskon had been out searching over the last few days and found nothing. "I'm not sure Hotaru that was the first hollow I've seen in the last week" Asmoskon was about ready to ask her about her raise in position of her squad when he sensed another reiatsu.

"Hotaru get ready there are more. Coming in fast from all sides!" Asmoskon reflexively materialized his bow once again in his left hand. In the next instant twenty small hollows about the size of a bear appeared on the roof of the school. There had encircled both Asmoskon and Hotaru and now it seemed that they weren't taking prisoners. Pulling back his bowstring Asmoskon concentrates his reiatsu into his fingers and shapes arrows. The first arrow flew through the mask of a hollow to the left in front of Asmoskon.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru watched as Asmoskon thought about what she had said. It seemed as though he really had no idea what was going on in this city. But, as she had to keep reminding herself, he was still a human. A person can only do so much looking and this city was enormous. There are only so many places he could've looked without getting tired and after he had all of his other obligations to do. Soul Society reminded her of the old Sparta. Their jobs was war and they were able to go out and take care of hollow much easier than he would.

Once he had finished thinking about something, he then told her that that was the first hollow that he's actually seen in the last week. She knew that hollows were fairly erratic with their patterns, but for her to get intel saying that there were hollows here and Asmoskon not even finding one hollow bothered her. It definitely told her that these hollows must be trying to plan something. What it was, she had no idea.

Then, while she was still thinking on what these hollows were planning to do, Asmoskon told her to get ready. There were more coming in and they were coming in fast on all sides. When Asmoskon materialized his bow, Hotaru unsheathed her zanpaktou. Rivu~aiasan, I make the same plea I did with the other hollow. I don't think I'll need the power, but if I do, please help me. I won't let Asmos get injured because I was too weak. Once she finished speaking to her zanpaktou she took a breath.

In the time of that breath, twenty hollows appeared. They were about the size of a bear, so they were pretty small when it comes to hollow size. They were completely surrounded, like Asmos said. She went directly towards him, placing her back against his. This way, she could protect his back and he could protect hers better. He had already let an arrow fly towards the hollow on his left front side. She knew she couldn't let Asmos take all the fun.

The hollow were snarling and ready to kill. She wasn't going to let that happen. One charged at her. She had her sword blade out, and took the charge from this small hollow. It pushed against her and she moved forward with it, using her greater strength. Then, once she was clear of Asmos, she let the bear take her down to the ground. While she was fighting with it, she was able to push it up and completely slash it from mask to rear. She watched as the butterfly flew away.

She got up quickly and waited for the next strike. It was coming from her back. She was able to hear the hollow coming and while she was turning around, she slashed down, hitting the hollow right in the mask, cleaving the mask in two. She looked around and saw that one was trying to sneak up on Asmos. She ran up and slashed that one from mask to rear as well, creating the hell butterfly to take it away. She took up her earlier stance at Asmos' back. "These hollows are pretty fiesty Asmos. We're going to need to be careful."

It seemed that the twenty hollows that arrived weren't all that intimidating to either Hotaru or Asmoskon. Already one fifth of their numbers had been eliminated by the two of them. In the next moment Asmoskon release two arrows that would follow up the first that he had fired. These arrows curved through the air toward a hollow each. Finding the mark that Asmoskon had planned simply due to the massive difference in speed the arrows pierced through mask and skull alike causing the hollows to vanish.

Right after the two had vanished Asmoskon felt Hotaru moving up besides him. Turning in the opposite direction of her he saw that a hollow was leaping through the air toward them. Now that they had switched positions of who was facing which side of the roof and hollows Asmoskon let fly an arrow threw the mask of the hollow and its body alike. Asmoskon could sense something else through all of the reiatsu. It was far more potent and powerful and it was closing in on the roof.

Asmoskon had accidently let his guard down due to the large reiatsu. This wasn't good for the Quincy due to the fact that one of the hollows rushed forward and slashed toward him. The hollow wasn't successful in cutting into Asmoskon's body with its claws only managing to send his bow from his grasp across the roof top. Asmoskon in that moment was completely focused once again on this hollow. "Smite the enemy with hollow steel!" in that moment Asmoskon raised both of his hands upward and across one another.

Just like that slashed downward in an X manner Asmoskon cut the hollows skull from its spin. The next few moments were little more than a blur. Asmoskon was moving throughout the mass of hollows that now were all lunging forward. Maneuvering as swiftly as he could Asmoskon twirled between the bodies slashing with the blades of his hatchets. These curved axes may not have as much cut range as a sword, but the force they could imply was far more potent.

After a few moments Asmoskon could feel a immense pain all over his body. It was as if he was on fire his entire body was burning. The only thing he could think that made sense was that Hotaru had released her zanpakuto and by accident sent a burst of fire toward him. However, that thought broke through the veil of battle. Standing still he was perfectly find with only a few cuts across his arms and chest. There was no fire on him only blood. . . the blood of hollows.

Asmoskon felt as if his blood itself had been turned into fire. His veins were burning his insides nothing, but heat and pain. All he felt he could do was drop to the ground and die. However there was one more hollow left that Asmoskon could see it was a little larger than the others and it was heading straight for Hotaru. Lifting u his right arm Asmoskon throws his hatchet with everything he had. In the next moment the hollow leapt from the ground towards Hotaru with a loud roar only to be struck dead by a hatchet blade to the skull.

Remaining Reiatsu: 995/1050

Hotaru looked over the small crowd. A fifth were already gone at their hands. So, these little ones weren't too bad. Honestly, since she had grown in strength, they were pretty easy to manage. Once she got back to back with Asmos, they switched sides. He started to fly his arrows at some of the remaining hollows, while she sliced and diced her way through her little pack of hollows.

Some would try to attack her from behind. The one that was brave enough to do it, she was able to hear them coming. She ducked quickly and then made an upward slash to cleave the hollow in two, sending their soul on to a better place. At least, she hoped when she did send the souls to Soul Society, they would find a better place. She knew some of Rukongai was bad, but she knew if they tried, the souls would prosper.

It almost seemed like these hollows were never ending. Her energy sensory was poor, she had to admit, but what she felt was so strong, it didn't matter that it was poor. It still registered. She took a quick glance in the direction that she felt the presence. She didn't really know the specifics of it, but it was for sure a huge presence for her to feel it this far away. It also had to be potent for her to even register it. This was a bad sign.

She didn't let this distract her for too long, however. Once she got back to her senses, there was another hollow almost upon her. Using her speed, she was able to quickly side step it and slash towards it. She wasn't able to hit the mask. When it turned around, however, she was able to get a nice slash across the mask, sending it away. She heard Asmos say something and she looked over. His bow wasn't near him, must've been knocked out of his hands. But, instead, he had his hatchets again.

She was proud that he was able to wield those weapons well and still be able to take care of himself. She looked back onto her enemies. She was proud to be with someone that could take care of themselves in a battle and also take care of her. She knew that this relationship was probably frowned upon by Soul Society and her new family, but right now, she didn't care. He was the most important person to her and she would never give him up for anybody's approval.

While she was thinking about this, she was slashing through the hollows much like Asmos was. They almost looked like a blur of movement with slashing and stabbing going on everywhere. She was impressed that he could easily keep up with her. She noticed some cuts on Asmos, but it didn't look like anything too life threatening. She continued to work through the hollows, making sure she was able to dispatch one before she moved on to the next.

She walked towards Asmos and then noticed that he was raising his right arm up and throwing a hatchet towards her direction. She stood still and saw that it was whizzing by her head. She heard the crunch of the blade of the hatchet sinking into the skull of one of the hollows. She quickly turned around and saw the hollow disappear. She looked around to make sure that the roof was clear and it looked clear to her.

She walked over to Asmos. "That was amazing, Asmos! You've really improved since we've last fought. I'm impressed. Thanks for the save back there, I appreciate it. Did you feel that huge presence during the fight? I couldn't make out any of the details about it, but I'm pretty sure that's what I'm looking for. She walked closer to Asmos and looked over his body. "Those cuts look like they hurt. Are you okay honey?" When she said this last part, she took his face in her hands and looked him directly in the eye, concern clearly showing on her face. She would hate if he got hurt because she didn't catch a hollow in time.

Surveying the roof swiftly Asmoskon made sue that all of the bear like hollows had been eliminated. In his relief the ones that had arrived in some type of surprise attack against both him and Hotaru had failed. There were multiple problems that still needed to be dealt with though. Not only was Asmoskon in a grave amount of pain that was felt like fire, but there was something strong in the area. Dropping to his right knee as Hotaru looked backwards at the hollow he had just dispatched Asmoskon takes off his school jacket. Turning it inside out and whipping down much of his skin Asmoskon finally lets out a low sigh of pain.

In all truth he had barely contained the need to burst out in tears from the pain. It had felt as if he were lit on fire. All the hollow blood that seemed to drench his body as if he had been bathing in the filth. Now though Asmoskon felt somewhat back to normal only drained mentally from the pain. While at the same time physically weakened slightly from the blood, his whit skin actually had turned a pale type of red color with some blisters.

As Hotaru spoke Asmoskon half listened although it was something else he felt. The reiatsu that was so big had disappeared so quickly. Asmoskon knew that he wasn't very good at sensing reiatsu which meant that the reiatsu was either very large or close, but in this case he felt like it was both combined into a single mass of evil. It was the moment that Hotaru rushed close to him once again that Asmoskon's eyes widened in fear. The Reiatsu he had sensed was starring into his eyes on the edge of the rooftop.

The hollow that held such potent and large Reiatsu seemed to be some type of large porcupine hollow. Its legs were barely visible on its body while the rest was mostly large thick spikes along with a mask and crazed red eyes. The hollow was actually drooling onto the roof however it wasn’t drooling saliva, but blood. Asmoskon looked in fear as the hollow screeched out in such a high pitch that everything felt off balance. In the next moment the hollow cruelled up into its becoming a white ball of spikes and nothing else.

Reacting only on instincts alone Asmoskon pushed Hotaru from him to the right out of the way of the hollow for in the next moment the hollow seemed to be upon him. Bringing the hatchet in his left hand as a method of counter assault Asmoskon hope the spiritual axe would be enough to end the hollow swiftly. However, the blade bounced off the surface of the white spikes only to result in the hollow rushing past Asmoskon to the other side of the roof. Asmoskon dropped to the roof screaming loudly in pain while grapping hold of his right thigh.

Blood poured from the multiple puncture wounds that he had suffered from the spikes. It seemed that the hollow managed a swift assault so fast Asmoskon haven’t even reacted until after it was gone. Now the hollow was spinning on its spikes carving the roof. Asmoskon could feel his body was starting to truly suffer it wouldn’t be long until he wasn’t able to fight back. Not only had these wounds be enough to slow him down, but the fact that hollow blood and flesh had made contact cause all the wounds to burn and blister.

“Hotaru run quickly. This hollow . . I don’t want you getting hurt.” Asmoskon pleaded in desperation. He couldn’t begin to think of the torment and suffering that he would feel if Hotaru was injured of killed by a hollow let alone one that he couldn’t stop from committing the crime. Turning around as fast as he could Asmoskon thrust his left hand outward in the direction of the waiting hollow. Utilizing Versteckte Pfeil he fired out a red Reiatsu arrow hoping to strike the hollow and mortality wound the beast. The effect was something that Asmoskon never would have foreseen or even though possible.

The hollow seemed to increase its speed of rotation on its spikes as the arrow close in on it. The result had caused Asmoskon’s Reiatsu arrow to actually be crushed splitting into tiny pieces of Reiatsu that disappeared. Not even a mark or any sign of damage could be seen. In the next moment the hollow spun forward once again charging forward. Only this time it wasn’t targeting the near fatally wounded Quincy, but the healthy Shinigami. The hollow would rush forward only to disappear ten feet from Hotaru. Unknown to the Shinigami the hollow had utilizing sonido and was dropping down upon her from above as its body of spikes spun with great ferocity.

[Hotaru Kuchiki-Masurao]

Hotaru watched as Asmoskon was doing his best with the little injuries he had. She could immediately tell that he was feeling better once he got that gross jacket off. She says it's gross because of all the hollow blood that he got on it. She hoped that he could get it clean for school the next day. After the jacket was thrown off, he was up and about, but she could tell that he was worn out.

She noticed something weird when she ran to him to check him out. She saw fear in his eyes. She didn't know why there would be fear in his eyes until she felt it then too. There was a huge hollow presence on this roof. She didn't know where on the roof, but from what Asmoskon looked like, it was behind her. She took a few deep breaths to steady herself. She knew that she was going to need to move fast, but she didn't know which direction.

Right before she was going to move, she felt the push to the right. She watched as Asmoskon had pushed her out of the way of the hollow, while he tried to fight it off. It looked like he was going to do a good counter against it. But, when he dropped, she quickly ran over, sword unsheathed and ripping a piece of her uniform off while doing so. He was screaming loudly and she looked at the body part he was grabbing at.

It was his right thigh. The hollow had gotten him pretty well. It seemed that this hollow was fairly quick on the attack. She put her makeshift bandage over his right thigh wound as quickly as she could. She hoped that this would do for the short term, but she knew he needed to get that wound looked at as soon as possible. She touched his face lightly and before she stood up again, what he said rooted her for a bit.

Asmoskon pleaded with Hotaru, telling her to run quickly. He didn't want her getting hurt. She looked down at him and she teared up a bit. She's never felt this much care for one person outside of her family before. She saw him try to counter attack. It was surprising to see that it sped up it's rotation and Asmos' counter attack actually got crushed against it before disappearing completely. She knew she was the only one that could defend both of them now.

Using all of her speed, she quickly bent down and kissed Asmos lightly on the cheek. She quickly said, "I'm too much like you love. I can't let this hollow get away and I will not let him hurt you. I will protect you with my last breath if it comes to that. I will not leave you here alone with this thing." By the time she was done talking, the hollow was speeding towards her.

When she stood back up, she unhooked her sheath and held it in her left hand. While the hollow was still running towards her, she yelled, "Burn Rivu~aiasan!" While her sword and scabbard was changing, she moved Asmoskon to an overhang so he could avoid her liquid. She quickly moved back to her spot. She held her sword and cannon out in front of her. When the hollow disappeared however, she could only think of one thing she could do for defense.

She started to spew liquid from both her sword and cannon, while spinning around three hundred and sixty degrees. She continued like this for awhile. She continued until she thought the hollow would reappear. She made sure that her liquid was coated thick everywhere within her radius, just in case this hollow decided to step in it. Once she finished this move, she went back to her Shikai fighting stance, left arm hanging loose to move independently and her sword angled to the left to protect her body. She wasn't going to let Asmoskon get hurt. Not today.

Asmoskon couldn't help, but grin at Hotaru's reply to his plea. It was simply a fact that both of them followed a similar path. Both of them were loyal to each other and to the respect of others who deserved such a right. However, if there was ever a time that Asmoskon wished for Hotaru to be different it was now. The idea of this hollow taking her down wasn't something that Asmoskon would allow.

Asmoskon watched as Hotaru released her zanpakuto and activated shikai. Asmoskon wasn't completely sure if she would be able to stop the hollow or survive its onslaught. It was something that the Quincy wished he didn't feel, but there was doubt in his heart and mind. He attempts to rise up only to feel the pain in his right leg pull him back down. Blood spraying out from the multiple wounds on his legs to the roof of the school.

Biting down on his lower lip Asmoskon attempts to fight off the urge to scream in pain. There had to be something to do, he had to protect Hotaru. In the next moment Asmoskon realized that she was utilizing the ability of her zanpakuto. Watching as the clear liquid sprayed from her sword and shot from her cannon. Asmoskon watched as the liquid was shaped into a type of barrier to protect her against the assault of the hollow.

However, the hollow wasn't in sight and Asmoskon had no clue where it was. In the next instant the hollow fell from above Hotaru while spinning forward in an attempt to have the spikes slash against her body. While this was occurring Asmoskon begins to crawl toward his longbow the hope of aiding Hotaru keeping him on the move. As the hollow fell downward it let out yet another loud screech. It sounded as if multiple different animals were being killed painfully yet slowly at the same time.

The entire time Hotaru was spinning around, spewing the liquid everywhere, she kept Asmoskon on her mind. She knew that he was going to try to find a way to help her, even if that meant for him to injure himself more. She hated that he would injure himself in such a way, but it was nice that he was willing to go that far for her. It made her feel special, and she finally was special to someone, to him.

While she was spinning, she felt the hollow's presence above her. She continued to spin, but now, concentrating more of her liquid above her. She knew that her liquid wouldn't be able to stop the hollow's free fall down onto her. So, once the hollow hit her liquid and she heard it screech, she Shunpo'ed away from the beast, moving backwards and out of the range of her fire.

She almost moved in the opposite way of Asmoskon. She wanted the hollow to be completely focused on her, so he wouldn't go after Asmos. Since she was able to move away before it landed, it landed hard on the roof, making a huge indent. It also landed on more of her liquid. She just stared at it and lit all of her liquid on fire. The middle of the roof just exploded in flames. She made sure that when she spewed the liquid, she wouldn't hit Asmoskon's area.

So now, the middle of the roof was on fire and the hollow happened to be in the middle of it. She hoped the hollow liked the feel of her fire. But, not really surprising to her, the hollow was still standing. It was pretty pissed at her and she saw all the burns start to form on its body. It screamed at her and started to come at her again. Thankfully, she was near the edge of the roof. Once it started going and was coming at her, she Shunpo'ed out of the way. She Shunpo'ed right before the hollow would hit her and moved quickly to the side. She hoped that the hollow would just run off the side of the roof and leave them alone.

The hollow fell downward as it had planned only to feel the wetness of what seemed like water. However, as it spun the hollow knew that whatever this liquid happened to be was in control of the Shinigami. Spinning its body forward at full power he spikes seemed to become blades of death. Crushing the roof of the school happened in a instant. Yet the hollow could still sense the Shinigami's reiatsu and felt no body below its own somehow the worm had escaped death.

In the next instant the hollow felt its body burst into flames. Along with the incredible sensation of burning the hollow felt in immense amount of force that forced it to stop spinning and kneel on the indented roof. After the explosion had settled leaving only the flames that still continued to burn fiercely on the rooftop the hollow was in the center alight with flame. Charging Hotaru as it had done against Asmoskon only to be dodged by the Shinigami. However, the Shinigami's evasion through a stepping technique only managed to prolong the conflict.

As the hollow was merely a few feet from the edge of the school roof it stopped immediately. It seemed that the hollow was spinning itself in a perfect circle causing its rush to cease. It continued to spin around for a few moments then stop once again. An instant after the hollow stopped the spikes from its body seemed to be shot from is own body. The spikes now seemed to be hundreds of white senbon that were alight with flames being fired outward toward Hotaru and Asmoskon both.

The young Quincy had only just managed to close his grasp around the spine of his bow when the sounds of the hollows spin began again. Looking upward while lying on his stomach Asmoskon watched as the flames seemed to fly toward him and the rest of the roof from the hollow. Based purely on instinct of survival and fear Asmoskon's arms rose in front of his face in a vertical manner. In the next moment three senbon spiked pierced into the forearms of Asmoskon. Each arm now was in unimaginable pain for the Quincy. However, Asmoskon's scream at the pain wasn't without purpose. Just after the spikes made contact and Asmoskon screamed in pain he spread his arms from his face and utilized the Versteckte Pfeil to fire off an arrow from his tongue aimed for the body of the hollow.

Hotaru watched as the hollow lit in her flames stopped. She was hitting herself for what she did. She hoped the stupid thing would fall off the roof and that would be the end of it and she could take Asmos to go get looked at. But, sadly the hollow was spinning in such a way that it was able to stop its forward momentum and stay on the roof. She wanted to just grab the stupid thing and chuck it off the roof herself, but she couldn't do that.

The spikes were the worst thing about this stupid hollow. If it wasn't for the spikes and the face that they were like armor, it would be an easier fight. It was nice to watch the hollow burst into flame when she started the fire going. It brought a little glee for her to see her fire cause so much damage. Well, Rivu~aiasan's fire. She just stared at this stupid hollow while it was circling around to steady itself.

Next, after it stopped, it immediately shot spikes out from its body. It was aiming at both of them. She couldn't take her eyes off all the spikes coming at her. But, due to her superior speed and strength, she was able to bat them away. But, she heard Asmoskon scream. She looked over and saw that he got hit with some of the fiery spikes. She immediately turned off the fire on his spikes. Then, she saw something pretty cool. He shot off an arrow from his mouth.

It was the coolest thing she's seen him do. She smiled as she looked at him quickly. She wasn't too surprised that he could do it. He was her precious one after all. While she watched him shoot off the arrow, she raised her left arm and her right. Her right arm was in front of her. She then quickly looked towards the hollow and Shunpo'ed behind it. Right when she appeared, using her speed, she quickly slashed at the hollow from behind, bottom to top, and then she let her liquid fire out of her cannon. She hoped that it would hit and this would be it.

Although he had somehow managed to will power to focus and fire off an arrow Asmoskon continued to scream in agony. The fact that six senbon spiked had been pierced into his forearms was bad enough yet the flames seemed to cause more agony than anything. Asmoskon couldn't control himself now that he was lying back on his stomach with his arms held outward. It seemed that his arms couldn't be held under his control due to the pain. The uncontrollable shaking of his arms seemed like it wouldn't ever stop to Asmoskon.

How in the hell was he going to protect Hotaru from the hollow when he couldn't even control the motion of his arms. How was he going to stand and fire from his bow when his right leg and forearms were so damaged he couldn't really control either of the limbs. It seemed impossible there would be now way that Asmoskon could take out the spikes from his arms or mend his leg. Then right before the Quincy thought all hope of him aiding Hotaru was impossible the flames of her shikai vanished along with much of the pain.

However, looking forward at his forearms Asmoskon couldn't believe what had occurred to him. There was no blood leaking from the wounds of the spiked that had imbedded only charred flesh. The skin of his forearms were blistered and black with multiple small pockets of white pus had formed from the sever burns that had been inflicted onto him. It seemed that Hotaru's flames had caused far more damage than the spikes of the hollow could have hoped to achieve. Moving his hands forward struggling to do so Asmoskon starts to pull the spikes from his burnt flesh causing him to scream over and over again.

The hollow had seen that Asmoskon managed to fire off an arrow toward it. Due to the understanding that the arrow held some strength the hollow began to channel its reiatsu through its skin. Just as Hotaru shunpo behind the hollow and swung upward at its body the spiked emerged once again. It seemed as though the spiked were thrust out from inside of the hollow when in fact the hollow just regrew them in a matter of seconds. Hotaru's zanpakuto did manage to cut threw the spikes and cause a decent amount of blood to spray from the hollow. However, in the next moment the hollow spun around once again in the same manner that had crushed Asmoskon's arrow the original time. This time however the arrow wasn't the only thing the hollow planned to crush.

Hotaru was able to slash through the hollow's skin and shoot her liquid onto the hollow. She watched as blood spurted from the wound and the hollow yelled in pain. She also hoped that some of the liquid that came out of her cannon hit in the wound as well. Since she was so close to the hollow are her arms were pretty close together, she had a strong feeling that the liquid would fall into the wound, causing this hollow severe pain once she lit it on fire.

When the saw something happen to the body of this hollow, she jumped back a little. It turns out that this hollow could regrow the spikes pretty quickly. She needed to end this. She was able to take a quick glance towards Asmoskon. Her heart sank. She was able to turn the fire off. But, the damage was already done. His forearms were burned pretty badly and she could tell that his leg still bothered him. Looking towards him steeled her resolve. She was going to protect him.

No doubt, though, that he felt like he was going to fail her for not being able to help her in this fight. It didn't matter to her if he helped or not, because she just wanted him safe. But, looking at him now, he wasn't that safe and she had caused him pain. The fact that her flames touched him and burned him that badly saddened her, but she knew it wasn't directly her fault. She looked at the hollow, still burning from her fire and saw some blistering happening. She hoped that this hollow would be gone soon.

She watched as the arrow Asmoskon shot at him got deflected in the same way. It really annoyed her that this hollow was able to deflect his arrows like that. No matter, she was going to end this soon. While she was this distance from the hollow, she started to move her sword around in a cone shape. She moved her cannon towards the liquid cone that was forming and shot more liquid into it. She then Shunpo'ed right above the creature. She shouted, "Doragonburesu!" She lit the liquid on fire, including the new liquid she was able to put on the hollow and sent the huge cone of fire towards it. She watched her original cut burn at the edges as well. She hoped this would be it.

Doragonburesu (Dragon breath): She starts to move her sword quickly in the shape of a cone in front of her. While she is doing this, liquid is being released from her sword and she sets it on fire, making it look like she's breathing fire. While she does this, she releases some scales inside it to shoot liquid in her enemy's direction, setting that on fire. Once it's set, she sends it all towards her enemy. They lose 200 reiatsu, lasting three enemy posts.
Cost: 100 Reiatsu
Weakness: If you are able to divert the liquid, it could weaken the attack or nullify it completely. If the enemy is able to dodge quick enough, she will be left open for a counter attack. If the fire is stopped by the enemy, the attack is nullified.
