Hohō
Agility (歩法, Hohō; "Fast Movement") is an important skill for most Shinigami and is very similar to the Sonído used by Arrancar. Though never clearly stated, it most likely relates to the Shinigami ability to walk on air using spiritual power. By collecting and solidifying Reishi beneath their feet, Shinigami can gain traction on thin air to either freely move about or to stop themselves from falling. This is typically used for complex maneuvers in the air and on slanted surfaces, as well as increased movement speed in battle. Unlike Bakudō and Hadō, Hohō never have incantations, and most are very linear, straight-forward abilities.
Canon Hohō will be in white. Custom Hohō will be in ice blue.{Class 7 Hohō}
Technique Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)
Class: 7
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.
Technique Name: Advanced Air Ground
Class: 7
Technique Type: Spiritual Technique
Technique Description and Effects:
This is a technique designed especially for breakdancing and parkour, utilizing a more advanced version of air ground. While in a terrain where air ground exists, the user can create more complex surfaces like air walls, air ceilings, air ledges and even an air push. This allows the user to perform handstands and windmills on air as if it were normal ground or even stand upside-down on air as if gravity were reversed. The air push makes the air ground very elastic so that the user can jump higher. It allows for slight movement even when restrained by a Bakudō.
For a cost of twenty-five Reiatsu, the user will be able to momentarily cast an "air ground" on areas such as in Soul Society and Hueco Mundo, allowing the user to "double jump" or cast Shunpo in mid-air. If this technique is mastered, the user will be able to create air grounds that last for as long as a single post. This can be used in creative ways to improve acrobatics and visual impressiveness.
Drawback: No drawback.

Reserved: No{Class 6 Hohō}
Technique Name: Ashibumi Daichi (Stepping Ground)
Class: 6
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: Air
Technique Description and Effects:
This stepping technique allows the user to create a "stepping stone" in mid-air and use such stepping stones to run, jump, and/or step on. This technique does not use the air ground, but instead uses one's Reiatsu. It is gathered against the entire bottoms of their feet, creating a circular disc of visible Reiatsu. This technique is meant to allow the user to bounce off of walls and perform offensive or evasive maneuvers in mid-combat.
How to use technique:
The user simply channels Reiatsu around their feet.
Drawback:
This stepping technique does not increase the speed of the user. It costs seventy-five Reiatsu to use and fifty more each post to maintain its activation. Reiatsu Strength also determines how many times you can use the technique in a single activation. With a maximum of four hundred Reiatsu Strength, five steps can be performed. The count is reduced by one from every one hundred-point difference from four hundred, so a user with zero Reiatsu Strength cannot use this technique at all.

Technique Name: Senka (Flash Blossom)
Class: 5
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
A special Shunpo technique where one moves to their opponents back. Directly attacking and sealing one's "Saketsu" (First Soul Chain) and "Hakusui" (Second Soul Chain) in one strike. The movement is so fast that an opponent may not be able to tell whether he was attacked from the front or the back and even an outside observer may find it impossible to tell what the movements are. It costs 100 Reiatsu per use. To use this particular brand of Shunpo, the user must train to learn it. It is treated as a Class 5 technique. Senka is an 11x increase in Speed.
How to use technique:
Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.
Technique Name: Gõon Ran (Roaring Orchid)
Class: 5, 4, 2
Technique Type : Hohō
Usable By: Hohō-capable Races
Technique Element: Variant (Fire, Thunder/Sonic, Lightning)
Technique Description and Effects:
This Technique was developed by modifying standard Shunpo techniques at lower speeds, pushing the limit to how fast an individual could go whilst still managing to move their body. This technique requires absolute control of Shunpo.
At Class 5, this technique hardly tries to push any boundaries. It whittles down Shunpo to a simplistic basis. The user moves at 7x their Speed and orients their body to strike their opponent without physically damaging themselves. This technique costs 125 Reiatsu per use.
At Class 4, the individual initiates a boost of speed, bringing them up to 5x the base value. The user then funnels the technique up through their chest and into their arms, allowing them to strike mid-step with incredible force. The sheer momentum with which this strike is made increases the impact force of the hit by 25% of the user's base Speed. This additional force can be damaging if it surpasses the user's Strength. If the boost to impact damage is greater than the user's Strength, 50% of the difference will be inflicted on the user's limbs. This technique costs 175 Reiatsu per use.
At Class 2, the user doesn't just apply Shunpo to the feet before channeling it elsewhere, but actually sends the Reiatsu throughout their entire body at once. Rather than just a quick burst of speed, this ramps up the user's Speed by 2x on a continuous basis. For six posts, the user moves at such acceleration and force that the Reiatsu pulsing within their body escapes through the skin, creating friction with the air. Strangely, this has a varied effect based on the individual performing the technique. It costs 600 Reiatsu to use.
When learning the disciplines for this technique, you must choose a single type that corresponds to the discipline associated with it. Once chosen, this cannot be changed.
- In Individuals with Fire type, their Reiatsu ignites violently, causing a surge of flames that surrounds their body and burns anything that comes within four meters of them. It allows them to unleash immolating attacks if trained properly.
- For individuals with the Thunder type, their Reiatsu is shoved outward, compressing air around them before suddenly decompressing it. This results in massive, booming shockwaves that rush out from the user's body to a maximum of ten meters from the user.
- In individuals with the Lightning type, their Reiatsu moves fluidly and creates a current that rapidly builds static charge, causing sudden movements. With proper training, torrential bolts of lightning can be unleashed around the user as they move.
The intensity of these attacks is so great and hard to control that simply learning this technique cannot be enough. As such, this level of technique serves as a gateway. Other techniques must be learned in order to control these attacks.
How to use technique:
The user forces Kidō through their body in a wave beginning at the feet, then pulsing it through the rest of their body once the step is initiated. This process is finely tuned by knowledge of either body (Hakuda) or the spirit (Kidō). The base technique is what allows the user to achieve the high speed while the disciplines allow the user to safely perform this move by adjusting the output and flood of Reiatsu since it causes harmful effects once it exits the body.
Technique Drawbacks:
Requires at least a 2 in Hohō and at least two points in Hakuda and/or Kidō as a means of controlling the power. Additionally, because of the control needed for these moves, they cost much more than normal Hohō. It requires at least 600 Speed to perform. Once this technique ends, the user suffers a severe stamina drain equal to 12 posts of continuous combat (double the posts used if the technique is ended early). It consumes a long-term Stat boost slot.
Lastly, in order to utilize the elemental effects of Class 2 safely, they have to be paired with corresponding disciplines tailored for each type. As such, Class 2 must be used in conjunction with these disciplines: Moeru Hanabira, Kokeiki no Hana, and Akarui Shogeki. Additionally, regardless of discipline, this technique perforates the skin as Reiatsu escapes it, causing considerable bleeding on the arms and legs.
Kenpachi and Fighter Types may learn this technique up to Class 4 but may not learn the Class 2 version.

Technique Name: Stagnate
Class: 5
Technique Type: Special Hohō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Stagnate (停滞, Teitai) is a very special Hohō technique that can be used for infiltration or stealth. Instead of accelerating like normal Hohō, this technique decelerates the body by 10 times. Because of this, the user's mind goes into a complete meditative state and becomes one with the environment. The concept behind this technique is "stillness" and its use in battle. This extremely slow movement is similar to a battle application of Tai-chi, but more to an extreme level.
This technique slows down blood flow, hemoglobin, metabolism, and muscle movement at the same time. It slows the user's heart beat to the point where they can barely feel it. It slows the user's breath so it lags and reduces the metabolism to the point where body temperature cools quickly enough to match the environment. In this state, the air around the user is completely still and all movements are completely silent. The sound of the user's presence is reduced the point that enemies of supernatural senses would be unable to make out the user's breathing, heart beat, and body movement from the other noises in the environment.
Furthermore, due to this hyper-mediation and stagnated state, the user gains the ability to sense the opponent's Qi (気 , Breath), which is believed to be the "breath" or "life force" according to Chinese philosophy. In martial arts, Qi is seen as the flow of energy, force, or momentum of a fighter's attacks and movements. With this technique, the user gains a certain sensitivity to the opponent's Qi depending on the user's Instinct and Senses. Instinct determines the range at which the user can feel the presence of Qi in the environment. Senses determines sharpness at which the user can feel the pressure and flow of Qi against the user's body. If this technique is mastered, the user will be able to sense Qi directly through vision if the user stands completely still.
(Note: Combat while having this technique active can save stamina posts of combat. This is very useful for genius or shadow Types, but the user gives up a ton of Speed to do so.)
Drawback:
Reiatsu is given up per post of this stagnated state. Moreover, this technique is compensated with the massive reduction of Speed, cutting the Stat by 10 times. However, Hohō techniques like Shunpo and Shunpo Karin will not be affected by this Speed reduction. This will cause the opponent's defenses to adjust to this sudden change of Speed from Hohō movements and catch the opponent off-guard. This level of stagnate requires at least a 2 in Meditation to use. In order to use the Qi application effectively, the user requires at least a 2 in Martial Arts or else the ability to sense the opponent's movement is completely useless.

Technique Name: Shunpo Karin
Class: 5
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
The famous "partial Shunpo" technique. This allows the user to initiate a single movement at Shunpo speed with one limb. This cannot be used without initiating the forward momentum. The user will need to move their arm the way they normally would before this technique can be activated. Momentum for this technique cannot be controlled. This means once the user initiates this technique, they cannot stop their limb from the movement.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Drawback:
Also stated above. Higher Reiatsu cost than normal Shunpo. Limit is once per post. More taxing on stamina than regular Shunpo.

Technique Name: Shunpo Eichi
Class: 4
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
The "exploding Shunpo" technique. This allows the user, for a cost of 150 Reiatsu, to initiate a Shunpo. This Shunpo releases far more power, so anywhere within a meter of the user will be hit with an explosive shockwave equivalent to the user's physical Strength when the Shunpo is used.
How to use technique:
Stated above.
Drawback:
Stamina drain. Reiatsu cost. Can only be used twice per post.
Made by: [Admin]{Class 3 Hohō}
Technique Name: Shunkassou (Flash Glide)
Class: 3
Technique Type: Other
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
This is yet another variation of the Shinigami stepping technique, Shunpo. Shunkassou gathers two pools of Reiatsu beneath the users feet and lets them float around on them. This technique was designed to be more maneuverable and combat-effective than the original Shunpo. It does not instantly take the user to the destination of their choice, but lets you move around freely. The Reiatsu creates a sort of friction between it and the object you're "gliding" on. This prevents you from falling off.
How to use technique:
Pool Reiatsu beneath your feet and move.
Drawback:
While this does allow continuous movement, its also one of the slowest variations of Shunpo. It only increases speed by 2.5x while using this technique. On top of that, it costs Reiatsu equal to 3/4s of the original technique cost, meaning it costs 300 Reiatsu each post to keep active.
Made by: Taien Hadohou
Technique Name: Sairento Shunpo
Class: 3
Technique Type: Hohō
Usable By: Shinigami
Technique Element: N/A
Technique Description and Effects:
This technique is a very special type of Shunpo created by Kimiko Shihōin and passed on into the family of the Shihōin. It allows the user to move at the incredible bursting speed that only slightly pales in comparison than the standard Shunpo. The purpose of this Shunpo is the fact that the subtlety of the movements allows for no sound to be caused whatsoever. An assassin has a massive advantage against the majority of targets. The movement is also incredibly difficult to observe since only those with 300 Instincts or higher are able to actually track anything. Only those with 300 Senses are able to hear the beginning of the technique or the completion, which sounds like a normal Shunpo. It increases the user's speed by 7x for one step.
How to use technique:
Used the same way as normal Shunpo.
Drawbacks:
Costs 200 reiatsu. Requires at least a 2 in Hohō.
Made By: Kimiko Shihōin

Technique Name: Shinkirou (Mirage)
Class: 3
Technique Type: Hohō
Usable By: Shinigami, Beast-Clan
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
Shinkirou is an unusual technique because instead of going from A to B, the user goes from A to A. Essentially, it is referred to as something akin to a “double step” in which the user steps in any direction and back into the original position. Visually, this barely creates a flicker, hardly noticeable below 200 Senses. The whole technique lasts for no more than three seconds. Similar to Utsusemi, it provides an afterimage coupled with a movement ability that allows the user to evade an attack while providing the illusion that they are hit with it. However, this technique allows the user to return to the spot, creating an effect that makes viewers think that the attack passed through the user. When used properly, one can follow up immediately after an attack that “goes through them” and catch an opponent off-guard. The step speed for this technique is 15x for each step, and it can be used up to twice per post.
How to use technique:
Focus Reiatsu, then launch in any direction. Upon landing, launch back in the same manner, all within three seconds of movement.
Technique Drawbacks:
Cost. This technique also requires that the user has a 3 in Hohō or Hakuda and has 400 or higher Speed after Type. This is also a tiring technique, draining stamina faster than normal steps through extra movement.
Made By: Z-Wolf
Reserved?: No{Class 2 Hohō}
Technique Name: Way of Omnitsu: Utsusemi (Cicada)
Class: 2
Technique Type: Kidō
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
It allows for a movement at great speed, leaving an afterimage behind. The afterimage may even appear to have taken damage. Uses 500 Reiatsu per step. This one is referred to as a Class 2 technique, and must be trained. It is used as a 25x increase for one step, but requires the user to have at least a 3 in Hohō or Hakuda. Can only be used once per post.
How to use technique:
Focus Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. Often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.
Technique Name: Gõon Ran: Moeru Hanabira (Roaring Orchid: Burning Petals)
Class: 2
Technique Type : Hohō
Usable By: Hohō-capable Races
Technique Element: Fire
Technique Description and Effects:
Used in conjunction with Gõon Ran, this technique was developed to harness the incredible power and speed that emerges at the Class 2 level of the technique. By increasing the force with which the user's Reiatsu escapes their body, the flames produced are created further away from the body, minimizing the amount of heat damage that they accrue. When used in conjunction with Gõon Ran, this technique allows the user to retain the state of 2x normal Speed while also being capable of unleashing powerful attacks backed by the destructive fire that the state produces.
While in this state, physical attacks initiated are backed by a burst of flame made by the pure speed of the user, the intensity of which increases the potency of the user's attacks by 50% of the user's base Speed.
How to use technique:
This is a discipline and a variation on the technique Gõon Ran, in which the user tightens their focus and causes the Reiatsu escaping their body to do so at a higher velocity.
Technique Drawbacks:
On top of the original 600 Reiatsu of the base technique, this discipline increases the cost by another 400 for a grand total of 1000 Reiatsu being used. Additionally, despite the precautions taken, individuals who use this technique will be covered in first-degree burns with second-degree burns around the knuckles and feet. Once the technique ends, the user suffers severe stamina drain equal to double the number of posts the technique was used (a full 6 posts results in a drain equal to 12 posts of continuous combat).

Technique Name: Gõon Ran: Kõkeiki no Hana (Roaring Orchid: Booming Blossom)
Class: 2
Technique Type : Hohō
Usable By: Hohō-capable Races
Technique Element: Thunder/Sonic
Technique Description and Effects:
A discipline used in conjunction with the base technique Gõon Ran, this technique lowers the frequency of the Reiatsu that escape the user's body in much more potent bursts. By doing this, the user is able to maintain the 2x speed advantage for the duration of the technique while physical attacks and motions of the user are backed by a concussive wave of sound that travels at the user's Speed (it loses momentum when released from the body) and carries a pushing force equal to 25% of the user's base Speed.
How to use technique:
Used in conjunction with the base technique, lowering the frequency of the Reiatsu bursts.
Technique Drawbacks:
On top of the initial cost and requirements of the base technique, this discipline adds 400 to the Reiatsu cost for a whopping 1000 Reiatsu cost. Additionally, because of the acoustic trauma of these attacks on the user's body, the user's Senses are halved for four turns following the use of this technique. It causes light internal damage to the muscles in the arms and legs. Once the technique ends, the user suffers severe stamina drain equal to double the number of posts the technique was used (a full 6 posts results in a drain equal to 12 posts of continuous combat).

Technique Name: Gõon Ran: Akarui Shõgeki (Roaring Orchid: Bright Impact)
Class: 2
Technique Type : Hohō
Usable By: Hohō-capable Races
Technique Element: Lightning
Technique Description and Effects:
Used in conjunction with the base Gõon Ran technique, this allows the user to properly utilize the Class 2 version of the technique, increasing the rate at which Reiatsu bursts from their body. It makes a continuous, less intense stream of current around the user's body, allowing them to utilize the 2x speed while adding an incredible electrical current to their attacks. It unleashes a shock equal to 50% of the user's base Speed when a hit lands. It can be channeled through a spiritual weapon.
How to use technique:
Used in conjunction with the base technique, the user increases the frequency of the Reiatsu bursts while lowering the intensity, allowing a much more controllable, steady current.
Technique Drawbacks:
Because of the electrical current that tears through the user's body, the user's Instinct is cut in half for four posts after the use of this technique. Additionally, on top of the base technique's 600 Reiatsu cost, this adds on another 400 for a whopping 1000 Reiatsu cost for the technique. Once the technique ends, the user suffers severe stamina drain equal to double the number of posts the technique was used (a full 6 posts results in a drain equal to 12 posts of continuous combat).

Technique Name: Shunkō
Class: 1
Technique Type: Other
Usable By: Shinigami
Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects:
The legendary technique passed down for the last three generations in the Omnitsukidō, Shunko, is a combat ability which combines the swiftness of Hakuda with the might of Kidō. It was originally created by a previous Shihōin Head.
Upon activation, Shunkō manifests as crackling white energy around the user. The ferocity and loud sound give it the appearance of lightning. Its shape forms from the dead center of the user's back, causing any garments that cover the back to be destroyed in that area. Most shoulder covering is also destroyed during activation.
While Shunkō is active, the user's physical Strength and both Spiritual Stats merge to form their offensive power, and stamina drain is suspended. All physical blows from the body result in a crackling blast of energy equal to this offensive power of Strength + Reiatsu Strength + Spiritual Pressure. Anyone with inferior offensive power will find their body ravaged by the attacks.
How to use technique:
Flux Reiatsu and activate this technique, but only after deactivating Release. This lasts for 10 posts and can be used twice in a thread. This technique puts a huge strain on the body and requires an extraordinary physical ability to use. Speed must be at least 700 at the time of activating Shunkō, and the user must possess at least a 4 in one combat method as well as a 3 in Hakuda OR Hohō. Shunkō cannot be learned by Weapon Masters, Kenpachi, Physical Prodigy, Genius, Soul Specialist, or Fighter.
Must be Rank 4 or Omnitsukidō to learn.
Technique Drawbacks:
Though this technique is powerful, its Reiatsu cost is enormous and the stamina drain is merely suspended, not removed. All stamina drain that happens during Shunkō will be taken once the technique ends. The user of this technique cannot be released when activating it, and Release cannot be active during Shunkō.
