John felt the plane land with an expected thump. He felt himself being pulled forward by inertia as the plane slowed down to taxi on the runway, but his seatbelt held him down. The man beside him blessed himself as the plane taxied into it's designated 'slot'. Already the sunshine of Las Vegas was pouring through the plane's windows, and John had to shield his eyes from the intense glare. They sure didn't get sun like this in Ireland. His thoughts strayed back to his home country for a brief instant, but he was rudely interrupted by the businesswomen sitting alongside him. She 'ahem-ed' impatiently, indicating her displeasure at John's relaxed state. John bolted up, immediately apologising. He never liked to be chastised.
He pulled his rucksack down from the baggage rack, and joined the queue of people leaving the plane. They were all rubbing their eyes after the long-haul flight, and John knew that he wouldn't be the only traveller suffering from jet lag tonight. It was a pity really, that the Vandenreich officer had decided not to let John directly enter Las Vegas, he was sure jet lag would have been cancelled out by the 'Shadow'. He shifted his weight from foot to foot as the queue inched slowly forward. He checked his watch, 3:22pm Las Vegas time. It would be only 7:22am back in Ireland, he would be only getting up. The very thought made his head ache.
To keep his mind off his messed up body clock, he switched his thoughts over to why he was here. It was an unusual set of circumstances really, but it all it really boiled down to was that this mission had come up, his Lieutenant was required to send a member to investigate, and John had drawn the short straw. Solo missions were never fun, there was too much that could go wrong. The parameters were vague too, just that some particular man was flooding Vegas with spiritual energy, and that John was to go look for him. That was it. Of course, given that John was a mere 17 year old, the Vandenreich had managed to mysteriously procure some documents 'changing' his age to 21. No one would doubt it, he was quite tall for his age.
The airport was full of people, and there was barely room to breathe. John never liked crowds, the mass of sweaty, filthy and pushy people always put him off. Not that he was in any position to complain himself, long-haul flights never really left one in the best physical condition. John went to the bathroom, and checked himself in the mirror. He wore a white shirt, adorned with thin blue stripes. It was short sleeve, and he wore it with the top button undone, however he left the collar buttoned down. This was tucked into a pair of skinny black jeans, accentuating his height and thin frame. The jeans were held up by a dark grey belt, with a white buckle. Over this ensemble he wore a dark 'travel-jacket', a short black jacket that had cuffs at the ends. His hair was messy after the journey, and he vainly attempted to flatten it with some water.
He pulled out a pair of pilot's shades to cover his eyes, after all he was in Vegas. He left the airport, and made his way to the nearby hotel where he would be staying. The hotel was a little way out from the city, but he needed to get some sleep immediately before heading out into the city tonight. This jet lag wasn't going to cure itself. The hotel was typical of that of an airport hotel, slightly sterile, with blank, character-less rooms. He had expected a bit more from Vegas, but he didn't really mind. As long as he had a bed to sleep on, he would be sorted. As soon as he checked in and received his key, he ran up to his room. Not even bothering to change, he flung his backpack into the small chair in the corner and threw himself on the bed. He would need all his energy for his mission tonight.

Las Vegas... Kazura had been here once before, and it had been a pleasant trip. There had been no crazy murderous Shinigami, no Hollows trying to eat his face, just pleasant conversation and a new business contact. It was this business contact, in fact, that had tipped him off about the job in Vegas. Ivan, the code name that Pavel had given to the Japanese Batman, was too busy doing Xcution things, but thought that Kazura could use the cash and the experience. What Pavel hadn't known was that Zack had also been sent over to deal with the situation, though it might not have mattered either way. Flying out under the pretense of a visit to his recently formed branch of Uzaki Enterprises, Kazura made his way to Vegas by private jet.
The plane touched down just as John's did, but without any way of sensing reiatsu, Kazura didn't notice the kid. Kazura's taxi to the branch also brought him past a black Mercades, though he didn't notice the driver. If he had, he would have jumped right out of the car, but he didn't see Zack in the driver's seat. And if Zack had seen him, he wouldn't recognize him due to the lack of the Batman helmet on. John's taxi would also follow closely behind Kazura's, though the Vegas traffic would probably prevent them from coming into contact with one another. With all three of them in separate sleeping areas, but each with the same destination planned for the night time, they were bound to run into each other eventually.
Kazura managed his short business in the Vegas branch of his company, pleased at their performance and promising a good wage review for next year if they kept it up. Retiring to a fancy casino hotel for the afternoon, in hopes of catching up on sleep before the interrogation of the owner of the very casino he was staying in, the Uzaki would be not too far from either Zack or John. If only he realized that former opponents and rivals were so close, he'd be doing more preparing, but he felt pretty confident at what his job was supposed to be. It was simple, just extract the information and get the attacks to stop. It was a get in, get out mission that wouldn't be too hard for someone that was stealthily inclined. He'd bring his tech, but he doubted that he'd need to use it. And with that thought, he drifted off into a shallow sleep and waited until evening.
Item Name: Reiatsu Battery MK I Item Type: Utility Item Description: This small tube is the size of a D battery. If it had the proper markings, it would look exactly like a D battery, though this tube is just a plain piece of metal. The positive end is made out of metal with a reiatsu strength of 1, and the negative end is made out of ordinary metal. Inside is mostly empty, save for a reiatsu enhanced fan. This difference in reiatsu and the fan are what grant it the powers it has. The emptiness inside is perfect storage for raw reiatsu energy. When the positive end is pressed into any spiritual being, touching the skin, the fan kicks in and draws reiatsu out of the body. 50 reiatsu is deducted for contact, and that is the limit that it can store. This reiatsu is capable to be released in slow portions, much like a battery. When it is empty, it can be recharged by placing it against another being with spiritual energy. The reiatsu inside obviously has the Reiatsu Strength of the victim. The reiatsu inside these batteries isn't usable for techniques, only as fuel for other technology. The cap for this battery is 200 RS. Anything higher and the battery will lose the excess. The rest is merely released into the air with a hiss of steam as the air around the battery is charged with reiatsu. Price: 1000 per (500 for Rich Boy) Quantity: 5
Item Name: Suit MK III Item Type: Armor Item Description: This Suit maintains the same physical defense as before, being able to withstand and absorb 150 strength before the impact is felt by the wearer, but has also been equipped with a small cavity in the chest. A Reiatsu Battery can be plugged into it, which immediately activates the Reiatsu defense. The armor then becomes as durable as spiritual steel with a defensive value equal to the RS of the battery, and it deducts 5 reiatsu per post from the battery. This defense allows the armor to not be immediately destroyed by spiritual weapons, but has no real defense for reiatsu attacks. This is not similar to Hierro, in that it is a perfect defense at that specific Reiatsu Strength, it merely acts like an armor. It would take damage over time as weapons scratched and gouged it, and could easily break if enough strength or attacks were delivered in one spot. Alternatively, the user's own Reiatsu Strength can be channeled into this armor for 25 reiatsu a post, though it still doesn't act like Hierro. Price:7500
Item Name: Helm Mk II Item Type: Armor Item Description: The typical mask of a vigilante, this mask is made to appear like Batman’s mask, though it has a mentally deployable gas mask. Built in are the Spirit Goggles Mk II. This version of the Spirit Goggles allows Kazura to see ghosts, and to gain a readout of their Spiritual Pressure and Reiatsu Strength at will. The Spirit Goggles MK II can also be used outside of the Helm due to their disguised nature.
Item Name: Belt Mk II Item Type: Storage Item Description: At first glance, this is a simple silver belt with some packs and capsules on it, with an intake/exhaust port in the back. It’s actually a nice storage device that doubles as transportation. Ten capsules hang from it, each containing twenty meters of compressed tear gas. The packs on the side are connected to the exhaust port in the back as well as a few empty capsules. The front of the packs open up to reveal twin hook launchers and an incredibly powerful motor. These allow Kazura to grapple onto a surface, and then pull himself forward, aided by a push from the exhaust port. If he has things to catch onto, he can fly for 4 continuous posts, else he may have to wait and recharge before finding a new tall target. The movement device has a static max speed of 150. He can mentally control this now.
Item Name: Gauntlets MK IV Item Type: Weapon Item Description: A simple pair of black gauntlets, these gloves have metal tips and a small port in the back. When the wearer wills, those tips cause red plasma claws to emerge. The flaps in the side of the wrist, such as those found on airplanes, are on this model. When deployed, the wearer can eject two portions of air out of his arm storage to force his arm forwards at 200 stat speed. The port on the back has a dual nature. It feeds both into the Air Cannons and the Gauntlets. If the Gauntlet is draining from it, the plasma claws act like a spiritual weapon with the RS of the battery, and deduct ten reiatsu a post from the battery. It counts as Class 4 for clash purposes. Alternatively, the user can support the plasma claws with their own RS for 25 reiatsu a post. Price: 10,000
Item Name:
Air Cannons Mk III Item Type: Weapon Item Description:This air cannon expands upon the ability to create blasts of air by building up air pressure. Using the limited knowledge of matter compression that he has, the storage capacity of the cannons has increased to six portions. The added compression of air pressure has also increased the potency of the cannons to 150 strength. Additionally, compressing the air further can result in a "combined shot" By charging for a post, up to 3 shots can be released at one time, adding their strengths together for a maximum of 450 strength. The user can enter a thread with full air. If a Reiatsu Battery is placed into the Gauntlets, the Air Cannons can choose to fire out enhanced air blasts. They act like Sho, but are Class 4 for clash purposes. They have the RS of the battery, but still have the strength of the air. The cannons can fire 2 regular shots or 1 charged shot per battery. Alternatively, the user can use it to fire Air blasts at their own RS for 100 reiatsu. Cost to Build: 10000
Item Name: Boots MK I Item Type: Movement Item Description:For when the 3D movement equipment in the Belt isn't enough, that's where the boots ocme in. These steel toed boots have vents built into the souls of the heel, and have shallow grooves to ensure that air can always get to the vents. These vents are much more controlled than the air cannons. They have two functions. The first is for fast movement. By expending three portions of air, Kazura can propel himself, or a single limb, at 200 stat speed for a maximum of twenty feet. The second function is for hovering. By consuming two portions of air per post, Kazura can hover in mid air. this model of the boots regains one portion per post, and can hold six portions at a time. Kazura enters a thread with full air storage. Cost to Build: 5000
Item Name: Laser Bow MK II Item Type: Weapon Item Description: This bow is discreet, folding neatly into a stick that could fit into a tube of chapstick. It can be deployed at a moment's notice, unfolding into a futuristic looking black compound bow. It can fire normal arrows, but that is not the major power of the bow. When the string is drawn back with nothing notched, the bow can generate a red laser arrow if the user wills it to. This arrow can pierce anything that is not made of spiritual durability material, and moves at speeds depending on the user's strength. Someone with 200 strength can fully utilize the bow, and cause it to fire at 400 stat speed. Anything more than that only can cause it to fire at 400 stat speed. Below the 200 strength, the bow fires at a ratio of 2 speed per strength. It can fire one arrow per post, and needs to recharge the next post. The bow has a port that allows a Reiatsu Battery to be placed in. The arrows fired from the bow would have a Reiatsu Strength equal to the battery, though they fully discharge the battery in two shots. Other people can use this bow as a normal spiritual weapon in terms of piercing (not unlike a Quincy) and it costs 50 reiatsu per shot. For Clash purposes, this bow is considered Class 4 Price: 10,000
Item Name: Convert-A-Weapon Item Type: Weapon Item Description: A shiny, round metal sphere small enough to fit snugly in the palm of one's hand. It looks pretty dull yet futuristic at the same time. With a simple thought, this sphere transforms into any weapon that the user imagines. Any weapon that the user can imagine to be more exact. Get yours today. Quantity: 2
On Zacks listing he would notice a few names in bold print and a single one circled to draw attention to it. The name read Jackson McAlister unusual due to the lack of a middle name. He was written as the owner of 9 casinos in the city. On the list of the casinos and their owners was attached a document holding the schedules of the owners. Should Mr. Jensen take the time to analyze these he would find that his target would be near his location in a few minutes at the orange lotus hotel and casino. Unbeknownst to Zackary both Kazura and John would be staying there in separate floors and suites. Regardless of whether Zack chose to act upon this information he would hear a loud knocking on his door. It was aggressive and violent sounding. Possibly a threat. It didn't appear to possess spiritual presence but that didn't mean anything due to the ability to hide ones power.
The knocking would persist and shortly be followed by loud obviously drunken yelling. "Oi' cunt. get yer' bitch ass out here and fight like a man. You cant hide in der fer'ver douche." the voice was masculine and angry. Without missing a beat the man outside would slam his way into the room angrily. "You been foolin' round wit my girl. imma kick yer ass." the man was tall. Over 6 feet. Probably just under 7 but no taller than that. well-built and covered in thick brown hair. A massive full beard covered his face and in his left hand was large clear bottle with a similarly clear liquid inside it. He was large and powerfully built. Delusional and highly intoxicated. And above all obviously eager for a fight with Zack and in the middle of a great case of mistaken identity. Zack could attempt to defuse this peacefully or end it quickly. The timing of this man’s arrival was an unusual coincidence. Or was it?
Over in Johns room a gentle knock was made and a note slipped under his door. The note said simply that they knew of his presence and spiritual power and kindly requested he leave without causing trouble. Should he open the door in time he would just barely hear the sound of movement down the halls obviously trying to get away in time. He had a choice about whether to follow the person who left the note or attempt to complete the objective he was first given. The note giver was obviously informed about it but making a getaway. The target was only a suspect but would be exactly where john needed him to be.
Kazura because of his lack of spiritual presence was simply ignored. He would sleep peacefully but due to his light sleep and training he would obviously hear the person who gave john the note run through the halls past his door. Whether he chose to act and look was his decision. Whatever these three did though. One thing was for sure. Somebody knew they were being targeted. And this person had just got the ball rolling.

John had never been a particularly heavy sleeper, and so he woke almost immediately when he heard the rustling of paper outside his door. He at first dismissed it as someone just passing while reading a newspaper. However, when a small note was slid under the door, he sprung up and flung the door open. The sound of retreating footsteps echoed along the hotel corridor. John pursued the person down the hotel corridor, neglecting to put his shoes on. His socks slid slightly on the cheap carpet of the corridor, and he slid as he rounded the corner of the stairs.
He just caught sight of a shoe rounding the corner of the landing of the stairs, and so continued his pursuit. However, he decided not to continue on foot, instead sliding down the handrail of the stairs, giving him some extra speed. However, his progress was halted by a young couple who were kissing passionately on the stairs. He groaned. The man had evaded him, and he had learnt nothing about him. He retreated slowly back to his room, deep in thought. Someone had obviously noticed his presence here. Did that mean they knew he was a Vandenreich Quincy? John hoped they were ignorant of that fact.
He studied the letter, a typed note. No clues about who wrote it, if it was the man who just escaped him, or was he only the messenger? John walked over to his bag and pulled out a small black notebook. Into this he copied down the contents of the note, as well as the date and time he received it, and the circumstances surrounding it. He had always loved detective stories, and now was his chance to live one. He looked at his watch, and decided that it was time for dinner. He changed from his flying gear into some more suitable attire, a loose, black shirt and a pair of denim jeans. He doubted Vegas restaurants were too strict on dress code, and anyway, he was young enough that no one really cared. He pulled on his black Converse, and walked down to the hotel restaurant, closing the door of his hotel room behind him.
He had his notebook with him, and after he had ordered his meal he took down details of everything. The time, the number of people in the restaurant, what he had for dinner, the nationality of the waitress. With his low energy sensory, he couldn't tell who was a threat or not, and so he took down details about everyone. He enjoyed his steak and chips, followed by a nice ice-cream sundae. He didn't want to try any alcohol, even though the Vandenreich had provided him with the necessary ID and everything. John just wasn't that kind of person. With his dinner finished, he entered the Casino section of the hotel. He had been told that it would have something to do with the higher-ups in one of these places, and this was as good a place to start looking as any.

The pounding of footsteps did jolt Kazura awake, and grabbing his convert a weapon from the night stand he slowly crept towards the door and peeked out. There were another few patrons who did so, mostly grumpy old people and curious children thinking there was a game to be played. The rest of the hotel guests slunk back into their room, but not Kazura. His glasses were giving off a reading of spiritual energy, so he was content to wait. When the figure came backwards, after losing whoever he was pursuing, the Japanese man's eyes grew wide open. Walking past him, not in Ireland this time but in Las Vegas, was John Ryan the Quincy. In their last battle, he had been scarred beyond recognition by a Hollow who was poisonous to his very body.
John hadn't seen Kazura's face, and wouldn't recognize him at all. And with no spiritual pressure, and the equipment that would identify him as the Batman who had fought in Ireland was not on Kazura's body. The Japanese man followed John silently through the hallways until he got a rough gauge of what floor the kid was on. Slipping back to his room, he prepared for the night. He combed his hair down, and suited up. The thin, but strong, suit of metal armor went first, just over his boxer shorts, followed by the boots. This obviously would raise some suspicion, so over top of that he wore a black tuxedo. In a small briefcase he carried his gauntlets, and his helmet, while in his pocket he carried the five new Enery Batteries, alongside his laser bow in its chapstick tube and his convert a weapons in the form of sharp keys.
When he went down to the restaurant, he quickly found the boy who he was looking for. The kid was being a bit too obvious, as he was taking notice of everything and writing it down. The boy had no sense of propriety or of stealth. Relieving a waiter of his tray with the help of a twenty dollar bill, Kazura approached the table where John was sitting alone. "I'll need to see your ID, sir. Sorry, but it's company policy. You see, you must be 21 to be in a Casino here in the United States. And can I offer you some more to drink, or a bit of champagne?" It was possible that John recognized the voice of Kazura, but doubtful seeing as when they fought, the man had used the voice changer hidden in his mask to disguise it.
It was another day without class for Yoko Kusanagi. Lately, she’d taken to patrolling the streets, looking for opportunities for chaos and adventure. She’d never really bothered going to school much, but that had fallen off even more lately. Since discovering her powers, school simply couldn’t hold her attention at all. Instead, she spent her days thinking about new ways to use her powers… or just testing those out. One of the things she had learned lately though, was that she needed to be stealthier. If she just let her power flow out constantly, it had a bad habit of making people feel weak. On top of that, she was trespassing a lot, so she needed to get better at sneaking around anyway. With a bit of practice, the girl found she actually had a natural talent for it. Within a few weeks she was able to suppress her reiatsu quite well, and only the most trained observers could spot her.
So, now the question was just how to use these skills? A fun idea came to Yoko before too long. Why not grab a vacation? She threw on her nicest suit, packed up a few things, and just told her parents she was going to spend a few days at a friend’s house. Rather than a friend’s house, she ended up at the airport. A little sneaking, and little bit of just running faster than normal humans could follow later, Yoko had managed to figure out what planes were heading the way she wanted, and sneak on board one of them. The plane in question was none other than the private jet of Kazura Uzaki. The destination? Las Vegas.
Somehow, she managed to go the entire trip without being noticed. She hopped off at the airport and began taking in the sights a bit. Vegas was a big place, and there was plenty to do. Luckily, Yoko had her fake ID handy, so she could get in places easily enough. She didn’t have much money to her name, but a bit of luck at blackjack earned her enough to get earn enough money to survive a few days in Vegas. Sometimes karma from being a hero literally paid you back. After she’d cashed out, she headed up to her room, and plopped down for the night. Thankfully, Yoko had been training to constantly suppress her reiatsu. Even in her sleep, she gave off basically no energy signature, and thus she slept through the night relatively undisturbed. However, she was woken up by a disturbance in the hallway. Curious, she snuck along behind them and followed the most interesting man in the crowd, Kazura Uzaki himself ~~~OMG Holy Crap it's actually him!~~~ Fangirling aside, she simply followed Kazura at a safe distance and listened in on his conversation with John from a nearby booth.

When the man who clearly wasn't a waiter or a member of staff came up behind him and asked him for proof of identity, John couldn't help panicking a little bit. It wasn't even that he wasn't equipped to handle this situation, which he was, but it was that little chill of fear which everyone gets when someone accuses them of being in the wrong. John turned slowly to face the man, who was carrying a tray of champagne. John reached for his back pocket and pulled out the identity card which the Vandenreich had issued him with for the mission. "Of course sir, I understand completely... And no, I wouldn't like any champagne, thank you very much. I need to hold onto my wits for the cards." He tried to make the last line come off as a joke, but as humour always seemed to do with John, the joke seemed to trail off awkwardly.
"...You wouldn't perchance know, sir, where I could obtain some chips for the card tables? I'm not used to Casinos as big as this one, we certainly don't have anything this elaborate in Ireland! And, incidentally, do you know the maximum bet on one can place on this table?" This was a sly test, the maximum bet of $300 dollars was written clearly, but with the angle the man was standing at it would be impossible to read. John studied the man, remembering every detail, there was clearly more to him than met the eye, not least the fact that he didn't wear a name badge like the other members of staff.
John cast his mind back as to why he was here. Mysterious disappearances, letters in the middle of the night... ...No... Middle of the day. Damn jet lag. It was all very vague and suspicious. John half expected Hercule Poirot to jump out and exclaim : 'Eet vas ze butler!' from behind one of the slot machines... ... No, Poirot is European... Are there any good American detectives? I suppose Columbo... John shook his head, smiling, and returned his attention the waiter-who-is-not-a-waiter. However, as he did, he couldn't help but feel a tiny little nagging suspicion that he had seen this man somewhere before...

John looked suspicious, but he was trying to match a detective in a battle of wits. "Ah, Ireland! You've got a very good accent, sir. Everything seems to be in order for your ID, even if I am not familiar with the Irish ones. And if you just look at the table, you'll see the maximum bet is 300 US dollars, which is 220.73 Euros. Chips are over at that booth. I can get some for you if you wish." John might be baffled as to how Kazura could know all this, when he suspected him of not being an actual waiter for this establishment. In reality, Kazura had already been to this casino before. As a rich businessman, he had traveled all over the world many times. Picking up things was easy for him, and he learned quickly. Coupling that with a keen sense of intuition and you have someone who can easily prepare for questions about places he's already been.
Upon immediately entering the building, he would have checked out each of the features, especially when his job entailed meeting and/or interrogating someone here. Whether or not John asked him to go get chips, his duty as a 'waiter' in offering champagne was over, and he'd leave the table. His eyes quickly scanned the room. He'd notice one or two things. Either he would see someone who was staring at him, eyes enamored as a fan would, or he'd see someone actively avoiding his gaze hoping he wouldn't see her. Either way, he'd move towards her. She looked young, and looked like a fan of his, which made her dangerous to his mission if she exposed him. The paparazzi would easily converge on the area if he was noticed, which would spoil the sneaking he was supposed to be doing. "517. Steak, Medium Rare." The words were said in a whisper as he passed. She was supposed to get from it all that she was to go to room 517 and bring a steak. Whether or not she got the message was her problem and not his.
For all her recently acquired talent at hiding, Yoko was currently fairly obvious. She hadn’t seen Kazura when he got off the plane since she’d had to wait and hide a bit before she could sneak off. Meeting him in the casino was just dumb luck, but that didn’t mean the girl was going to pass up the opportunity to check him out. Her obsession, if one could go so far as to call it that, with Kazura was not romantic. It wasn’t that he wasn’t good looking, because he was, but that simply wasn’t the reason she was interested in him. Her fascination with Kazura was two-fold. For one, he was only a bit older than her, and he was the CEO of one of the biggest companies on the planet. That was pretty awesome. More importantly, he was a renowned inventor within the security field, and that was something Yoko tracked fairly closely.
Her obsession with him largely neutralized her attempts at being stealthy. He had caught her staring at him… but it wasn’t all bad. He had spoken to her. "517. Steak, Medium Rare." It was only four words, but they came with a promise that more dialogue would occur between them. It was a fairly obvious code. They were in a building with a hotel attached. 517 was a room number, and the steak was his demanded tribute. Yoko didn’t waste a single second with her assignment. With 450 speed and a 2 in stealth, no mortal eye could track her in the Casino. Even on the security tapes, she was nothing but a blur. Immediately, she rushed off to find the kitchen, swiped a steak, and headed up to room 517. Three loud knocks on the door announced her presence, and the steak was clearly visible on a plate in her hand. Now she just needed to wait for someone to answer the door.
As Kazura and yoko left the room they would miss an interesting event. As they were already long gone they would miss the arrival of the very man that kazura and john were looking for. He entered the room brimming with a confidence unbridled. It was as if the people around him were so far beneath his notice they failed to even matter. The cocky smirk across his face and the piercing green eyes surveyed the roomj and focused in on several individuals in rapid succession. The entire room was drawn to his entrance his very presence attracting the eyes to stare. he barely even looked at anybody but the chosen few before snapping his fingers and being quickly followed to a back room with his handful of elite. The last sight john would see was the mans pinstriped suit and messy red hair entering the room before the doors slammed shut behind him.
As this occured a waitress or waiter would approach each table Carrying an envelope or a tray of drinks. John recieved an envelope. It was sealed with wax and emblazoned with a stylized J. above the seal the words "read me" were written in cursive. Were john to open it he would find an invitation to the back room. its exact words were as follows, "I have taken notice of you and your choice to stay here looking for me and my allies. You're either brave or foolish. Approach the back room and show the enclosed card to the guard. this is the VIP zone. Tell them i invited you and we will talk business. this is not a request. ~Jack Mcallister." The waitress at johns table held out her hand. "I will take you to see mister Mcallister now."
Up in the hallways Unbeknownst to kazura and Yoko somebody was waiting outside the window for them. Kazura had interacted with john and drawn the attention of some unfavorables. yoko was called up to kazura's room. Neither of them posessed the skills or the senses to detect the individuals waiting for them. The moment they were in the room the assailants would know. This was a danger they knew nothing about. The assailants lacked knowledge of kazura and yokos abilities as well though. things would not go quite as expected for the heros.

"Why, thank you vey much." John said with a small smile. He didn't feel nearly as confident as he looked. He had never really gotten around to learning to suppress his reiatsu, but he still hadn't counted on being detected so quickly. He had been hoping the massive amount of spiritual energy here would have been enough to drown out a presence as small as his here. It doesn't make a huge amount of sense though... Why would they see ME as a threat? Surely there are thousands of other people in a city as densely populated as Las Vegas? It's hardly popular with ordinary humans alone... But John wasn't able to dwell on those thoughts, he was rapidly approaching a door which led into the VIP area.
The waitress told him to wait a minute, and he did. He had no intention of causing trouble in an area with so many people around. The VIP area, by it's very nature, it would obviously be less populated. The single entrance would also make it perfect for an ambush, but the man had claimed that he only wanted to talk business. While 'business' still didn't sound very encouraging to John, it was certainly better than outright threats. As John waited, he took note of his surroundings.
The door to the VIP area was, as everything is in Vegas, decorated in terribly poor taste. The frame was painted a gaudy gold, and several plants lined the carpet to the door. John turned over the letter in his hand, searching for any more clues. The J probably meant McAllister, not himself. The letter was pretty cryptic. When the waitress had not returned, John steeled himself, strode up to the guard, and presented his invitation. With a brisk look at it, the guard nodded his assent and let John in. John walked in slowly, carefully analysing his surroundings while still trying to look confident. He had no doubt, he needed every little piece of information he could find if he was to survive this trip to Vegas.
