Jin Kariya stood facing the eternal sun on the horizon. It was summer, and in the upper portions of Alaska, the sun never set for quite awhile. The weather wasn't bad, a bit of a crisp bite to the infrequent wind and temperatures in the fifties of Fahrenheit without it. Kariya watched as the sun kissed the horizon and then continued onwards, never losing it's red glow. "If the sun never sets, then does a red sun in the morning still signify that blood was spilt that night?" Kariya turned to face the other bount present. "So, one who shares my name, why bother fighting again if utter defeat was all that greeted you before?"
Post by Jin Yamada on Aug 22, 2012 18:10:25 GMT -5
The glowing red sun sitting on the horizon was truly a beautiful sight to see. Amidst the snow and ice that covered this place, it was a change of scenery. It actually made this place full of ice and snow look a little more...full of life. It's red glow, bathed the icy tundra, almost making the snow appear slightly red when glanced at from a certain angle. It was a little ominous actually. It foretold of something to come. That, and the cold winds that blew across infrequently. Nonetheless, it was a spectacle to see. That place full of ice and snow was probably a good place set up for what was about to happen. There was no life around, which meant no onlookers. No interruptions. It was truly a site set up for a glorious battle. A battle between two leaders. One old and one new. In the end, the battle would symbolize growth and strengthening for one. For the other, there was probably evaluation. An evaluation to see whether this new one was ready. That was probably what was most likely on the mind of that old Leader.
A hearty laugh was heard from the second Bount to arrive. The man standing there looked calm, and casual about things. He wore black dress pants with matching shoes, a white dress shirt with a skinny black tie, a gray vest, and a long black trenchcoat. Despite the formal appearance, that man still somehow appeared rather casual about it all. Even in the cold temperatures of this frosty place, he looked calm and casual. He laughed heartily in response to the first man, Kariya. His laugh went on for a few seconds before he finally stopped and smiled. "Why bother fighting again?" the man, known as Jin Yamada asked in a soft mocking voice. "Because I want to grow stronger. Defeating you here and now will tell me how much closer I am to becoming the legend that that man once was." Of course, Jin was referring to Kassen Oro, the man reported to be the Strongest Bount in history.
He reached into the pockets of his trenchcoat and withdrew two yoyo as he was speaking. To most, these yoyo were simply just toys. Simple play things. However, to Jin Yamada, they were more than just that. "I learned my lesson last time," Jin said once he withdrew the yoyo. "I'm giving it everything I've got this time, mate." With that, he flicked his right hand, which held a golden yoyo, forward. "Ziege Dich, Hitze." Those three simple words caused the yoyo to glow and spin rapidly along the end of the string before bursting into golden yellow reiatsu. For a moment, nothing seemed to happen, and then all of a sudden, the air all around the two of them grew incredibly hot. The temperature had skyrocketed from 10 degrees Fahrenheit to just under 200 degrees. That was about 90 degrees in Celsius, if one wanted to use that measurement.
The sudden change in temperature could be felt, and even seen as the snow and ice began quickly melting in that immediate vicinity. For a quarter of a mile all around, the snow and ice began melting, revealing the lush green grass underneath in some places while in others there was only brown dirt. To cause such a change in nature with only a release was incredible; though, what was even more incredible was that at the moment, Yamada was having his doll hold back its powers a little more so that Kariya didn't pass out in the heat that it could have caused. The heat could have been much stronger. But, that wasn't Yamada's style. He was going to drag this one out, while giving it all he had.
"Here I come!" Yamada suddenly said. This was it, he was going to begin his attack. He was going to start things off. Yamada rushed forwards at his full speed, moving towards Kariya in a zigzag motion. As he was moving, his body blurred from the zigzag motion, but it was also distorting. As he was coming towards Kariya, whose senses were just under the 200 needed to see Yamada clearly, it would appear as though two Jin were rushing forward at the same time. As Jin came within six feet of Kariya, he brought the second yoyo, an orange one, over to his right arm and made a hooking motion over the wrist area. Then, he flicked that right hand out towards Kariya and sent the yoyo wheeling straight towards the other man's chest. With the 300 strength it shot out with and the ability to move at a meter per second, the yoyo flew out with incredible speed in such a short distance. If it hit, it was going to send him skidding back breathless, with his chest carved up. The reason for this being the blades that had suddenly popped out on the disks of the spinning yoyo. It wasn't a simple attack. No, not at all; especially not with the distortion effect coming from the glowing yoyo that made it appear as though there was more than one approaching. Your move, Kariya.

Kariya turned, and the younger bount was standing there, laughing. Apparently, Kariya had been amusing rather than insulting. Kariya had stepped down from leading the Bount, as he could do more on his own than without pawns to do nothing more than hold him back. The new leader had been weak, and had failed to defeat Kariya when they last met upon the field of battle. This showed that before, he had been too weak to be known as the leader of the Bounts. "You have yet to earn the title of Leader of the Bounts from me. Maybe you're on your way to becoming the Bount you are to be, but maybe you are not yet ready. This test of strength will decide which of those to be true."
The other Jin pulled out two yoyo, one of which was golden, the other orange in color. The golden one he flicked downwards, uttering the phrase that allowed normal Bount to access their dolls. Kariya was above such barbaric methods such as that. For a moment there was nothing, but suddenly the air grew very warm, almost to the point where water would boil. Obviously this was not ideal circumstances in which to fight. As Kariya began to sweat, he used his powers of wind to make a barrier surrounding himself. Kariya could do that because he was the doll, it existed alongside and inside himself. The barrier that was around his skin would constantly be removing the sweat his body created, allowing him to continue to function without too much impairment. However, the heat was quite a lot. Normal humans would have passed out from the heat, though Kariya was no normal human.
Jin started to run towards Kariya, and it almost appeared as if there were two of them. This made little sense to Kariya, but the massive amount of heat was causing mirage like effects everywhere around him, so it didn't seem too out of the ordinary. Either one or two of these images could be fake, or neither, so it was best to stay cautious. As the Jins got close, suddenly there was only one and it was swinging the orange yoyo now, with blades coming out of it. Instead of there being multiple images of Jin, now the yoyo was looking distorted. As the yoyo arced towards Kariya, he simply moved backwards and spoke. "The Great Winds, come before. The great powers, come into me."
Kariya was fast, faster than the yoyo being propelled by a strength that was greatly increased from Jin's natural strength. How someone with the strength of an average human could do that was unknown to Kariya, but obviously it was happening, though it wouldn't hinder Kariya's ability to get out of the way. When Kariya moved, even without the heat in the way, his body blurred from the speed at which he traveled. Jin would have to look through the distorting waves of heat to see him, else he would risk cooling Kariya down too much by having Hitze clear the way for his sight, though Kariya didn't know that. All Kariya knew was that he was dodging the yoyo, and that he was faster than it. As he got away from the yoyo, he released the ability that he had been building up as he moved.
A tornado would tear through the air, catching the yoyo and probably ripping it from Jin's grasp, as the force of the winds were greater than Jin's strength. The tornado would continue to move towards Jin, and he would be hard pressed to dodge it and the bladed yoyo caught inside it, seeing as it was also travelling almost twice Jin's speed. At the short distance that they were standing apart, Jin would have to think fast to come up with a solution to the attack. Meanwhile, while Jin was bothered with the tornado, Kariya's arm was starting to glow bright yellow as he built up ambient static electricity around it.
Kariya's method of keeping his stamina up while within the heat was a good one; something expected from the former Leader of the Bount. However, it wouldn't work for long. Heat was a flowing energy. Hitze was able to make opponents sweat like that by transferring heat energy into their bodies via convection. While Hitze was transferring heat energy into Kariya and heating him up on the inside, his body was attempting to cool him down by sweating. The wind barrier was blowing away that sweat and cooling him further, but in the end, Hitze's reiatsu strength was much stronger than Kariya's own. The flowing heat energy in the end, would overpower the cooling process because of Hitze's higher reiatsu strength, which was what determined how quickly the heat was transferred through convection. In time, Kariya would suffer from the heat just as everyone did. Yamada was patient enough to wait. His Desert Style required patience. It also required his prey to keep moving around.
Yamada's yoyo attack was easily dodged by Kariya. He remembered Kariya's speed from last time, and had prepared for it. Jin flicked his wrist once again, while the yoyo was still flying out towards Kariya. With that, the yoyo quickly curved in midair, moving towards where Kariya was attempting to dodge to. That was when Jin felt the reiatsu being released from Kariya and felt the wind pick up. The tornado that had suddenly formed out of nowhere was moving towards him with incredible speed. He felt the tug on his yoyo and reacted immediately. A quick movement of his middle and ring fingers would do the trick. As soon as he had moved those two fingers, the wire that was attached to the yoyo unhooked and moved back towards him. On the end of that wire was a small hook, which locked into place on the underside of his wrist. As for the yoyo, it was left to be sucked into the tornado that had formed. That one was lost, but it was okay because Jin had more. Had he not hooked his wire launcher onto that, he would have been pulled in by the tornado and the battle would have been over.
Now, there left the part about the tornado that was heading towards him with incredible speed. With a tap of his feet within the shoes, Jin was blasted away from that place in a blaze of flames. His movement with those flames propelling him to the side away from the pull of the tornado was double what it had been earlier. With those flames backing his speed, he became more than fast enough to get away from the quickly spinning vortex of doom. When he landed about five meters from the tornado and further away from Kariya, he pulled out two more yoyo: one red and one yellow. Kariya didn't know it yet, but within this field of heat, Jin was at an advantage. He controlled the environment, and with Hitze having its body spread around the area, there was nowhere his opponents could hide without him knowing through his doll. Hitze was in constant contact with Kariya as a result of the heat transfer, and it quickly relayed Kariya's location to its master. There was no way to escape heat. And of course, this was what made Jin a little cocky in that moment.
First, Jin hooked both yoyo onto the hooks hidden on the undersides of his wrist, just under his sleeve. Then, from where he stood, Jin prepared his next attack, aiming in Kariya's direction. "Wüste Stil..." Yamada began in a whisper. He flicked his wrist out and began spinning the yoyo in his left hand, the red one, all of a sudden while within that area of increased temperature. The speed increased, and suddenly, that red yoyo was buzzing in front of him, moving with incredible speed like a fan blade. "Staub Wirbelsturm." From the quickly spinning yoyo, a burst of white smoke and wind rushed out in Kariya's direction, heading straight for him. It was a cyclone of white smoke and heated wind generated by the quickly spinning yoyo that had been flicked out using the wire launcher to increase its speed. That cloud of white smoke that was moving towards Kariya was overwhelming and quite dangerous. The white smoke was actually tear gas which, if inhaled, would cause irritation to Kariya's eyes, nose, mouth, and lungs. This would lead to crying, sneezing, coughing, difficulty breathing, and pain in the eyes. All of these things would severely hinder him if he so happened to inhale the white smoke in that cyclone that was quickly approaching him. Not only that, but the heated winds from the cyclone would severely burn the former Bount Leader as well.
While that cyclone of tear gas was moving towards Kariya, Jin himself was covering his nose and mouth with his right arm, in the off-chance that Kariya managed to blow it back towards him, which he was expecting. If Kariya simply decided to avoid it altogether, Yamada was ready for that too. He was cocky, but he wasn't stupid. He knew that Kariya was strong, and he knew to expect anything from that man that had already beaten him once. He couldn't lose to him again. The results of this battle would determine whether or not he was the Bount Leader he needed to be for his race. He had too much riding on this not to give it his all.

OOC: I don't really care, but in the future, if you say you're wearing "black dress pants with matching shoes" it doesn't make sense to suddenly be wearing vented boots.
The replacement in testing was quick on the draw, that was for sure. Jin had unhooked his yoyo and blasted away before he could be swept up by the tornado. This was fine, Kariya didn't really mind. Battles were rarely won in the first attack, and there was more left in that first attack anyways that Jin had to beware of. As Jin was moving away, Kariya was degrading himself to Jin's level. "Ziege Dich, Messer."
The static that Kariya had been building up in his arm focused its way to the hand, where converted the hand into a guard with a blade of lightning attached to it. By activating Messer, Kariya possessed the full capability of his Wind Manipulation powers. Even as Jin was drawing two more yoyo and forming a white cyclone, Kariya was preparing his attack. The tornado that Kariya had made that captured the first yoyo was stopped and smashed by Kariya's powers, packing all the wind around the yoyo in an orb. Propelling himself into a Shunpo like dash with wind, Kariya brought himself and the orb close to Jin.
As Jin's cyclone was purely displaced wind, not backed up by reiatsu, Kariya held and compacted this cyclone as well. As an added bonus, compacting the tear gas such as Kariya did would make it into a liquid, most likely. Whether it was liquid or gas, Kariya directed both of the orbs he had created into Jin from close range. Though he was covering his nose and mouth, he wasn't covering his eyes, so they were still able to be affected by the tear gas or tear liquid. Also, a bladed yoyo won't be stopped by an arm held across the face except to cut into it. With the orbs thrown, Jin used more wind to kick up a large quantity of the mud on the ground formed by the melted snow. The mud would cover Kariya, helping to prolong his ability to stay cooler for longer, though it wouldn't last for very long.

Things were heating up. Figuratively and literally. Kariya saw Jin as enough of a challenge that he finally released his doll's true form. About time! Jin was kicking things up to get Kariya to use that full power of his so that in the end, when victory was his, he could truly say he defeated the great Bount at his full power. Jin had to admit though, using Hitze to weaken Kariya wasn't a very direct approach to the battle, but it was an approach nonetheless. Against powerful people like Kariya, it was all Jin could do to survive. He had to weaken them in order to overcome them.
As Yamada launched his yoyo attack, Kariya quickly retaliated. It was as expected from the former Leader of the Bount. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the tornado that he had dodged being compacted. The swirling winds of the tornado were being compressed and made smaller, packed into a small space. Jin turned his head to see this and then quickly returned his gaze to Kariya, where he was met with a surprise. The same thing was happening to his attack! The heated cyclone he was sending in Kariya's direction was being compressed and packed just like the tornado at his side. What was he thinking using a wind attack against someone who controlled a doll of wind?! Jin had to admit, he had gotten pretty cocky there. But who could blame him? Kariya was in his domain. Jin had the advantage!
The orange gas became visible around him immediately. "Hitzeschutz." Yamada said very suddenly after the orange gas had formed. The orbs of wind moved into the field of orange gas that surrounded Jin, but as they did, the swirling winds within them began losing power. The kinetic energy that fueled the winds was being absorbed. The orbs too began dispersing, disappearing into the air and becoming nothing. With the high level heat that made up that field, the tear gas, which had become liquid due to compression, became a gas again and then that too dispersed into the air. The intramolecular bonds that held that gas together were nothing in the presence of the energy from the high level heat field. It was too much, and easily dispersed that dangerous gas. Even the yoyo that had been caught in one of the orbs was turned to ash and destroyed completely.
Just like that, Kariya's attack had been destroyed and it's power was used to make the heat surrounding the two Bount even stronger. Yamada stopped spinning his yoyo and it was pulled quickly back into his hands by the wire launcher. No more yoyo tricks like that again. That was what Jin had decided. It was time to try something else. Another approach that would implement his Desert Style well. The field of orange gas dispersed just as quickly as it formed and when it did, Kariya would see the huge grin plastered on Yamada's face. "How about that?" Yamada taunted in a mocking tone with that huge grin plastered on his face. "It seems you've started using your doll's full powers. Does that mean I've become a challenge to you?"
Jin blurred suddenly after that. He moved himself around Kariya, reappearing about three meters away. When he reappeared, he flicked his right hand towards the ground, shooting the yoyo in that hand forward with aid from his wire launcher to boost the strength and speed. The yoyo hit the ground and then began moving across it, towards Kariya. As it did, the dirt surrounding it was thrown upwards on both sides while the mud under it began melting from the heat that was being sent into it. If he tracked its path, Kariya would probably notice that the yoyo wasn't even coming straight at him. It was moving a little to his left!
When the yoyo neared Kariya, about three feet in front of him, it shot upwards very quickly. It brought some of that dirt and mud with it as it shot upwards, throwing that at him. With a flick of his wrist and fingers, Yamada was able to divert the yoyo's path from a straight one into a curved one. Rather than continue forward and pass Kariya on his left side, the yoyo curved towards him instead, moving straight for his arm. As it did, it glowed and then released a brightly shining light that would blind Kariya for 3-4 seconds if he stared directly at it. It was a common overused trick, and one that Yamada knew Kariya would probably expect to be hiding a surprise attack. That part was in fact true, but there was also more to it than that.
As that light flashed, and caught Kariya's attention, Jin launched the second yoyo, the red one, to attack Kariya while he was either preoccupied or dodging. He had already used up the tear gas canister built into it, so it was just a normal bladed yoyo now. That was why, Jin was going to sacrifice it. While it soared through the air towards Kariya, flanking him from his right side, it began glowing; though not as brightly as the yellow yoyo was currently. It was a glow that lasted for only two to three seconds. What happened next would probably shock Kariya, who might not have expected it at such close range. At almost point-blank range, that red yoyo exploded. The explosion sent heated gas, broken steel from the blades, and sharp pieces of the yoyo into Kariya. The heated gas would send third to fourth degree burns across his body on that right side while the steel of the blades and the sharp pieces would pierce him in many places on that side. It all happened while he was blinded by the first yoyo or preoccupied with covering his eyes from it.
How would Kariya respond to such an attack? At such close range, and with the distraction Kariya had to deal with beforehand, how would he escape such an attack completely unscathed? There were ways to, which Yamada had already noted, but who's to say he hadn't prepared more in the offchance that Kariya did find one of those ways to escape it. While that happened, Yamada only watched, and waited. A counterattack from Kariya while both of his yoyo were attacking was probably Kariya's next move, if he happened to dodge the explosion. All he had to do now was just wait and see what happened.

As Kariya moved away from Jin, he noticed an orange gas like field start to surround the other Bount. Suddenly, the attacks that he had thrown were made nothing by whatever the field was. As the yoyo turned to ash and the liquid tear gas turned gaseous again, Kariya assumed that it was a high concentration of heat that was doing this. Then the mud hit his skin, cooling him down quite nicely for a short moment. Kariya soon noticed Jin moving a little faster than normal, though Kariya was more than capable of keeping track of the movements, even with his lowered senses.
Jin felt he still had the upper hand, felt like he would force Kariya to his knees with the heat. Well that was most certainly not the case. Jin was starting to get bored of the underhanded tricks. Kariya had not released because he felt Jin a threat, he had released in order to use Messer as the weapon it was. Unreleased, Kariya had plenty of control of its abilities in the realm of wind, but released, Kariya could do so much more, especially since he now had a blade for a sword.
Jin positioned himself a good ways from the former Bount Leader, but not too far as to be out of range of those yoyo. Those yoyo were starting to become quite dull. They had seemed mildly interesting at first, but now they just seemed like the child's toy they were meant to be. So what they had blades on them, they were as easy to manipulate as a flower petal on the breeze. As Jin flicked one of the yoyo forwards towards the ground, it would strangely be stuck on there, not moving forwards like he had wanted. The combination of the dirt and mud causing a bit of friction, as well as the Wind Barrier that Kariya had just erected, would keep it motionless and completely covered in the mud that it had been kicking up.
As the yoyo started to glow, the light of which was muted by the mud, and Jin threw the second yoyo, Kariya suddenly wasn't in the place he had been. By taking a few lightning quick steps, he had moved himself out of the path of the yoyo that would soon become an explosive, unbeknownst to Kariya, as well as away from the blinding light. The first step had been to the right, taking him multiple meters in that direction. The second step was at a diagonal, taking him right past, and through, Jin. Even with the reduced speed from the heat, Kariya was still capable of propelling himself with wind to a stat speed of 1805, over 7 times Jin's speed.
Jin's mistake had been standing still through the whole attack. Kariya had noticed that during their exchange, and sought to exploit it. Every time that Jin had been using the yoyo, he had stayed still to do so. Whether it was because he couldn't retrieve the yoyo as well when stationary or some other reason, Jin had remained in the same place every time while conducting these attacks. With the soon to be exploding yoyo far out of the path of Kariya, and the fact that Kariya didn't stop his speedy charge to attack, it would be nearly impossible for the yoyo to be redirected at him in time.
Moving as fast as he was, it would be nearly impossible for Jin to even know the attack was coming. Even if Jin's eyes had been miraculously in the right place, his senses weren't high enough to bypass his own doll's distortion effect. Without knowing it, Hitze had helped harm his master without trying, because he wouldn't be able to clear a path for Jin's eyes fast enough without helping Kariya more than he was helping Jin. However, at least the pain would be over quickly as Jin was sheared in half by Messer's lightning blade passing cleanly through his torso. All Jin would see is his yoyo going forwards, and then Kariya being suddenly gone before he was cut down like he was. Getting as close as he did was not beneficial to him.
Post by Jin Yamada on Aug 31, 2012 22:15:34 GMT -5
Wait, his yellow yoyo wasn't moving. That one took Yamada by surprise. It had felt as though his yoyo hit a wall that it couldn't carve through. That was a pity. He hadn't really counted on that happening. But, there was no need to panic! Yamada had a backup plan, which that yellow yoyo was actually involved in in the off-chance that Kariya did dodge his explosion somehow. Jin launched his second yoyo anyway, but then Kariya disappeared from view. He didn't have to do any guessing to figure out where he was going.
The point of Jin's Desert Style was to get his opponent's moving. When they moved, they generated heat and lost stamina. Another point of his style was to get them to come to him. To misjudge his style as being weak and really predictable. All this time, Jin had been launching his yoyo from one stationary position. He had suspected a man like Kariya would easily see that as a weakness and make some kind of move to exploit it. In Yamada's mind, he had figured Kariya's next move would be to attack the master directly. If he took out the owner while he was in a position where it looked like he couldn't retaliate, the heat, which was controlled by the doll, would disappear and everything would be over. It wasn't that easy actually.
Yamada's confidence and arrogance were actually for good reason. One of the reasons why Yamada was so confident about having the advantage when his doll was released like this was because Hitze could sense where his opponent's were as long as they remained within the field of heat. Hitze was constantly transferring its heat energy into Kariya, and it was also sucking up the heat energy that Kariya was releasing naturally as a result of many bodily processes and movement. By being able to absorb the heat Kariya was releasing, Hitze could sense Kariya's location and then relay that information to Yamada, allowing him to build up his own counterattack. That and the fact that Yamada had set things up to fool Kariya into moving in closer for an attack while both yoyo were attacking. He didn't need to see Kariya to know where he was going. He had already deduced where Kariya would go in the likelihood that he did escape the attack.
It was an instinctual response. He had trained it so much that it had become simply instinct upon mastering it. As soon as Yamada noticed Kariya's disappearance, he activated his self-defense technique. The reiatsu built up around his body, compressing there. Then, all of a sudden, it exploded outwards with a powerful burst as Kariya moved in for the kill. The blade of lightning touched the reiatsu that was compressed along Yamada's body and activated it. The reiatsu exploded out from Yamada's body very forcefully at that moment, forming some kind of 360 degree shockwave which pushed both the blade and Kariya backwards about five or six feet. Kariya's forward momentum was halted and reversed as he was sent skidding backwards from the force of the shockwave. Had Jin's reiatsu strength been weaker, that lightning blade would have easily cut through that shockwave which acted like a solid wall like a hot knife through butter. However, since Jin's reiatsu strength was much higher, this was not the case.
Sadly, that wasn't all Kariya had to worry about. The force of the shockwave also threw up some of the dirt and mud around Yamada, blasting much of it that was around him away. The yellow yoyo, which had been buried by the mud near Jin was also blasted away, sent in the same direction as Kariya. As it was being sent flying, it glowed just like the red yoyo had. Two to three seconds was how long that glow lasted, and then suddenly, the yoyo exploded. The difference between this explosion and the last one however, was the size. The explosion of the yoyo released a large billowing cloud of orange. It was a superheated field of energy much like one of Hitze's techniques and moved with the same speed as that technique called Hitzewelle. It was large, and it was incredibly daunting as it moved to swallow the former Bount Leader while he was beint sent skidding back by the shockwave released from earlier. As for Jin, he disappeared instantly as the explosion rang out, moving backwards with incredible speed along his rail of reiatsu. While doing that, he also had Hitze make cool pockets around him, to reduce the energy of the heat from the explosion if any of it caught up to him. He ended up stopping about 5 meters from where he had been before to see the results of his attack.
It was a surprise attack that Kariya wouldn't see coming, especially since he hadn't seen the first yoyo become a bomb. Without seeing the first yoyo become an explosive, he wouldn't realize that Yamada could do the same to the second, and therefore realize the situation he was in. There was no blowing it away with wind, since it was simply a field of energy and nothing more. He could dodge it by boosting his speed, but it would be incredibly difficult to escape completely unscathed at such close range, especially since it was faster than Kariya's normal speed. If that cloud of superheated energy touched him, he would turn into ash instantly. He would simply fade away into the wind, reduced to nothing.

Kariya was actually pretty surprised as he was thrown back. His attack had been silent, quick, and above all, deadly. Jin should have been dead, sliced cleanly in two by the attack that happened in the near blink of an eye. However, Jin had some sort of instinctual response that seemed to protect him from close range attacks. As soon as Kariya made contact with his blade, he was thrown backwards at a considerable pace. This however, would be a controlled fall backwards, as he was mostly on the ground and could easily direct the winds to keep himself from falling over.
In order to activate his ability in order to turn the yoyo into a bomb, Jin would first need to look around to find in what direction it was sent, determine which of the yoyo images was real and what was just a distortion, and then start to focus on it. All of this preparation would give Kariya more than enough time to summon up a gust of wind to throw it straight back at Jin. As he had seen other yoyo have blades pop out, he was taking no chances with this one. The yoyo would explode, sending the orange cloud towards Jin instead of towards Kariya with all the momentum it had from the gust of wind.
Trying to take advantage of the distraction the cloud would cause, Kariya summoned up a large quantity of static electricity. Then, swinging his arm with the blade attacked, he released it in a near 180 degree arc to try and hit Jin if he tried to dodge the cloud to the side. Then he released another wide angle slash in a vertical arc to catch Jin if he dodged upwards. If Jin for some reason didn't dodge, he'd be caught by both of the blasts as they intersected. Despite his best efforts, Kariya was starting to become very drained by the heat, not just in his ability to perform, but in his stamina as well. He could feel his mind and his body slipping away. This fight would not last much longer for either party.

Kariya's counter made it all seem so easy, when in fact it wasn't. Not in the slightest. First of all, Kariya was moving into Sprengstoff at full speed. Five times his full speed to be exact. It was Kariya's blade that had hit the Sprengstoff, but nonetheless, the resulting effects would still be the same. Kariya's forward momentum would be halted by the wall pushing forwards on his passing blade, and he would be thrown backwards at almost the same speed as he had been moving forwards with. Of course, he could stop himself instinctually as he had done with the wind, but there was a second effect that would come into play here. Whiplash.
The sudden reverse in momentum was going to throw off Kariya's body, which had been suffering from the heat for some time now. Both his body and mind had become weak as the battle had progressed. His weakened body would be caught by the wind, but his weakened mind would remain in shock. Simply because he had been able to catch himself with wind didn't mean that he was able to recover quickly. Because of whiplash, Kariya's mind and body would still be in shock as a result of the sudden reverse he had experienced. Because of the shock he would be experiencing, he wouldn't be able to notice the yoyo in time to conjure up the gust of wind. His mind wouldn't be able to recover in time from what had just happened because of its weakened state.
The yoyo was thrust up from the ground at the same time as Kariya was being pushed back, since of course, both were being blasted away by the same spherical defense. During the two to three seconds Kariya would need to realize the threat he was in, his mind and body would be recovering. The wind would only be enough to halt his movement backwards. It wasn't possible for it to speed up the recovery of his body from the shock and whiplash. As a result, the impending threat of the glowing yoyo wouldn't be realized until a split second before the yoyo was actually going off, and by that time it would be too late for Kariya's shocked and weakened mind to process.
As for Kariya having more time because of Jin's needing to focus on the yoyo to turn it into a bomb? Not really. Jin had already known the general location of his own yoyo while instinctively releasing his defense. All he had to do really was mentally command his doll to lock onto it, since Hitze was the one actually turning the yoyo into a bomb. That was actually a pretty simple task since Hitze had already been sending heat into it earlier in order to activate the flash bomb within it. From there, locking onto the yoyo and turning it into a bomb was simply child's play for the doll whose body now surrounded the area for a quarter of a mile.
The yoyo, after glowing while Kariya's mind and body were recovering, would explode into the gigantic orange cloud of superheated mist that resembled Hitzewelle and move to swallow the former Bount Leader. The incredibly daunting cloud's speed was too incredible to defend at that close range with the little time Kariya had to recover from the shock of the whiplash. He would be caught up in the rushing wave of heat, and his body would be turned completely to ash. Just like that, with no other way to defend, his body would fade into the wind, just as tales of his legacy had.
"Don't worry, mate. I'll protect the race now..." Jin spoke to his fallen opponent.

OOC: Sorry for the cop out post. I've been swamped with things. However, I still have no defense against your flawless attack. Good job, Yamada's skill and equipment won out against Kariya's unique mastery over his doll. If you really want a challenge some time, try and win in a canon fight without any of your items or custom abilities, just simply doll vs. doll, seeing as the canon characters have no customs, you've got the advantage. This is assuming that you want to try to win with pure and simple rp skill instead of overwhelming power, which is what I assumed the canon fight was for. Well, besides having fun, which is what I did have and hoped that you did too as well. Again, good job, you beat Kariya, meaning you beat me.
