All of a sudden, she was there. In the blink of an eye, Kotori's opponent made her appearance. The woman standing before Kotori was short in stature and petite. The aura this woman gave off was one of class and nobility. Her pale skin glistened in the sunlight, and her violet-colored eyes stared lazily at her surroundings. Her black hair was cut short, in some kind of bob hanging around her face. It was a simple look yet still classy. On her fingers, she wore fingerless white gloves that extended to her elbows. On her left arm was a Division Badge, signifying her rank as a Vice Captain. This was worn around that arm's sleeve, which was shortened to reach the woman's upper arm.
The female Kuchiki stood silently as she regarded her opponent, not even speaking one syllable. She placed a hand on the hilt of the blade sheathed on her left hip and waited, obviously waiting for her opponent to make the first move. Rukia Kuchiki was not one to make the first move. She only stood and drew her blade, holding it there before her. That was her only beginning move. That blade of hers, deemed the most beautiful zanpakutou in all of Soul Society, was drawn and ready to do battle. Soon, Kotori would see why her blade held such a title.

oOc: Nah. I'm fine with Jin. He and I have a thread between Bounts going on, and it's good.
Ic:
Unfortunately for Rukia's pride, Kotori wouldn't exactly get the opportunity to see the other woman's Zanpakuto; you see, Kotori was rather blind. Not to mention, she was also sitting in her wheelchair. A small smile played upon Kotori's lips; Rukia hadn't even hesitated when she found out her opponent was a blind cripple. Apparently, this other woman could recognize a challenge when she saw one. Kotori's glossy black hair was pulled back into a lazy ponytail, and she had forgone the Shihakusho in favore of a plain, black yukata with a pair of matching zori. Her obi was a bright scarlet color, and bore a pattern of black flames around the central family crest. She was fighting a Kuchiki, after all, and showing her pride and skill as a Kawada was expected of her.
So, she's waiting for me to make the first move? Fine then. I wonder how she'll deal with with this...
Lifting one of her delicate hands from her lap, she placed it onto the arm rest of her trusted wheelchair. Parting her soft, rose colored lips, Kotori uttered, " Sanseizui...." As she did so, light poured from her wheelchair in a powerful wave, flooding the entire battlefield with a white hot glow like a second sun. Of course, no heat accompanied this, just light. With Kotori's reiatsu strength, if Rukia didn't close her eyes, she was bound to go blind staring directly at where the girl was sitting.
Tilting her hand in her lap, Kotori's lips opened once more, "Ranpuketa." She calmly stated, the fingers on that hand, her right one, each gaining a charge of blue reiatsu to them. The pinkie charge vanished, a beam of reiatsu flying at Bala speed aimed directly for Rukia's kneecap. Though only slightly stronger than a Byakurai, this spell coming from Kotori's reiatsu strength would easily blow out a good portion of Rukia's knee, possibly even cause her leg to split in two. The most dangerous part of this spell though was the fact that Kotori stilll had four shots left to use.
Wondering how a blind girl could aim with enough precision to snipe an enemy's kneecap? Kotori was a master tactician with analytical skills beyond anyone else's comprehension. Rukia may have liked to think that she had just appeared before her, but Kotori had sensed her reiatsu even while she was flash stepping to reach the designated battlefield. Given her mastery of reiatsu theory and extreme senses, and you'd probably understand why this Kawada was nicknamed "Witch in the Wheelchair" by some members of Squad 11.
OOC: Sooooo sorry about the delay in posting. I had alot of research stuff to do, but yeah, that doesn't excuse it. My bad!
IC: The female Kuchiki lifted her left arm, using it to shield her eyes while she looked to the ground upon seeing the smallest glare from the wheelchair. It was an instinctual response, just like her next movement would be. Instantly, after covering her eyes, she vanished. Just like that, she was gone. With shunpo, the female Kuchiki moved herself in a 180 degree arc around the female Kawada so that she was now positioned to Kotori's left.
The explosion from the beam of reiatsu impacting the ground where she had once been assured Rukia that her instinctual response had been correct. It was a common tactic in battle to attack after blinding an opponent. Either that or run away, but what would be the point of running away when Kotori had been the challenger? "Bakudo #1: Sai!" the female Kuchiki spoke, lifting a finger on her right hand to aim at Kotori immediately upon reappearing. The female Kawada would be caught offguard as her arms were suddenly snapped behind her back and held there, as though glued in place.
Of course, with Kotori's reiatsu strength, she could escape a bakudo of this level easily. But, by sealing her hands, the female Kuchiki would have a moment free from being attacked again until what ever technique Kotori was using to create the glow ended. Little did Rukia know that removing Kotori's hand from the armrest of the wheelchair itself would actually end the kido if the bakudo was able to take hold for even a small moment. "You're strong, so I won't hold back..." the female Kuchiki said quite suddenly, turning her blade counter-clockwise. As she did so, she whispered the words to release her zanpakutou, "Dance, Sode no Shirayuki!" The blade, hilt, and tsuba suddenly turned completely white and a long white ribbon extended itself from the pommel while the tsuba became a hollow, snowflake-like circle.
With the transformation of her blade came a sudden rush of cold air in all directions from the female Kuchiki. Kotori would feel it as it rushed over her body. The most beautiful zanpakutou in all of Soul Society had been released. It was a pity actually that Kotori wouldn't be able to see the beautiful blade. With that, Rukia held her zanpakutou before her while still watching the ground until the light disappeared, at which moment she was ready to move and react for whatever counter came from her Kawada opponent.
Rukia's Remaining Reiatsu: 1725 (-50 for Shunpo, -25 for Bakudo #1, - 200 for Shikai)
Shikai: 1/10
