"IF THATS THE CASE! THEN I'LL JUST KILL THE LITTLE FUCKING WEAKLING! ONCE! AND! FOR! ALL!!!
Shizuka covered her eyes as she laid down on the ground and felt the intense heat blaze over her body. She was too low to be hit, but when she opened her eyes, the space around her had partial flames. She was amazed that he would do such a thing. She thought he would be upset but she wanted to make it better. Instead, it just got worse. But what made her even more afraid wasn't even the pain she was in from falling or the flames around her. It was the fire that was standing still in front of her. The fire that took on the form of a human because it truly was a human. Shizuka looked straight at the face of the burning man and realized Zukarinkuari had set himself on fire! Was he an idiot? He had to be! What was he trying to prove, exactly? She had to stop this. She had to make sure he was okay. But she hurt so much.. It would be so hard to make sure everything was fixed again.
"Zuka-kun! You have to be kidding me! Why would you do that?" Shizuka screamed as she tried to get up.
She just barely managed to get herself on her knees and push the rest of her body up straight, but couldn't get her entire self to stand. She didn't even have much water left, but she knew she could refill the bucket immediately after it was empty. She just needed to hurry because time was running out. So, as best as she could, Shizuka raised her right arm as she held her gun, ignoring the discomfort it caused her from the pain of hitting the ground the way she had. She aimed it at Zukarinkuari, who was standing still and not even saying a word. That struck her as odd. It was as if he just wanted to feel every aspect of the pain he was enduring. A couple of tears fell from her eyes, and Shizuka wiped them away, questioning why they were even there. Perhaps she didn't want the two of them to die more than she thought. Perhaps the relationship they had was more important than that.
Her finger pressed on the trigger multiple times, sending out large blasts of water in Zukarinkuari's direction. She had to put out some of the surrounding fire, but she figured she would carry on with getting the flames off of her friend before she tried anything else. With each new pulse, more fire was taken away from Zukarinkuari's body. His clothes were charred and he looked like he was more hurt than he was expressing. Now, she knew he couldn't facially express anything. He had a mask on. But his body showed more emotion than anyone would have ever guessed it to. And right now, she saw nothing. Shizuka struggled to get up and kept shooting, but ran out of water pretty quickly. She had to use the pump to send more water from her bucket once it refilled, but that didn't take too long. Once more, she shot at her friend and managed to put flames out, even though he was getting drenched in the process. Fire continued to burn around them but wasn't spreading much, probably from the damp ground.
"Zuka-kun.. Listen to me!"
She knew she had to get through to him. Once she was sure the fire on his body was put out and no hot spots remained where something could potentially burn, Shizuka grabbed his arms and pushed him backwards on the ground, then sat on his stomach with one leg on either side of his body. Her hands held his shoulders down, and she made her he wouldn't be able to get up. She had to keep him there so he wouldn't do anything destructive. Katekarin would still try to stop Zukarinkuari from killing her, but other gases that could be used was always a possibility. She ignored it, though. Tears fell from her face into his mask when she realized she was crying again. She didn't mean to hurt him like she did. She just wanted him to try his best against her because she knew he could. She just wanted to make it up to him. Fire remained, surrounding the two of them as it crackled here and there. The smell of burning grass flew through the air as Shizuka tried to catch her breath. It was still hard for her to move.
"I didn't want to hurt you, Zuka-kun.. I wanted you to be able to control yourself! And it didn't work.. What I said at first, those were lies. Everything mean, it was all a lie! You know I care about you. You know that we're friends. Zuka-kun... You're like my brother. We're even closer than you think we might be," She said, pleading with his softer side. She needed him to listen. It was the only thing she could do.
