"Noise."

Yup, even the smallest thing would distract Shizuka Sanamizu on a brilliant day like today. All she was doing was sitting at a table by a little cafe in Karakura Town, sipping out of her cup what was basically the best thing ever; Chai Tea. It was her all-time favorite anything. Well, besides sweet tarts. But whatever. Today was a day to relax and have fun without having to worry about anything that could possibly go wrong. Until she heard that noise just now. Yeah, Shizuka ignored her beloved Chai and looked in the direction she heard it from. It was somewhere close to where she was, but... Was it still in town? She thought it was. It seemed like it. So, naturally, the light-footed queen hopped along the road (not literally, figuratively) to make a new discovery with this strange experience she was about to enter. Yeah, fellas! It's officially Alice in Wonderland! Just let it happen.

Shizuka's eyes darted from side to side as she looked around for the commotion. The noise got louder and louder the more she walked in town, until eventually she saw two people fighting off in the distance. The occasional pedestrian would walk by and just briefly glance in that direction, but they never really suspected anything. Or, so it appeared to her. She couldn't quite make out the bodies or identities of the two people who were duking it out just yards away from where Shizuka was on her nice, relaxing day. But she knew one thing for sure. She was going to lecture. They had no right to randomly fight like that! It was stupid. Well, that, and she wanted to know what was going on. Curiosity was often times her downfall, that's for sure. So she walked on, trying to figure out who the two people were. As she got closer, she could only recognize one of them. He was the same man she freed a while ago. The same man she sat and drank tea with. The same one who called her his savior. Katekarin. Well, this sure makes an interesting adventure, doesn't it?

Shizuka stealthily hid behind a nearby building, hoping to go unnoticed for some time. After a while, the two of them stopped moving and began saying things she couldn't hear. Something was going on between the two, though. She could tell that much. She was sure that it wasn't good at all, mostly because of the facial expression coming off of the other man who wasn't her old friend. It was cold and analytical. It was the kind of face that expressed such intent to kill, but held back as if questioning the benefit of doing so. It was so weird. But, then again, they did stop fighting temporarily. So, like any normal female character in some important anime or manga, she ran out into the middle of the whole ordeal and hugged Katekarin, whom she greeted with a delightful smile and simple "Hello." But something else caught her attention, as it did just moment before. She made comments on the wonderful day and how nice it was, but then stopped and turned around momentarily.

"By the way, who are you?"

Zukarinkuari watched from his standing position over the initial explosion. He had a large grin on his face from under his gas mask. And had released a laugh that would echo to the point that even Shade would hear it. It was a laugh of joy, a laugh of pure angry joy as he looked down at the Shinigami. Without a moments rest he used his speed again and got near Shade, instead of appearing at his front or side he appeared from behind and released another 20 ft of gas. He only allowed it to collect just behind him covering the behind of the Shinigami before jumping back and causing to explode. The gas, because it had built up quickly from behind Shade, all of the four grenade explosions was now focused on his back area. If everything would of done accordingly, it would cause Shade to propel foward away from Zukarinkuari and where Shizuka would appear.

"you survived that, I will make sure you die because of this." he growled. But just as he would step forward again to continue this, he would be surprised when he felt a familiar hug and a greeting. At first he growled and was about to shove away whom ever did such a thing. But the voice sounded so familiar he could not do such act. He turned quickly to see his old friend Shizuka was around. She commented on the weather and small things which made Zukarinkuari stop to talk but he could not do such thing. He would growl in the direction that of the Shinigami and looked at Shizuka.

"By the way, who are you?" Zukarinkuari stared at Shizuka and began to talk, it became clear that if Shizuka knew the difference in the way they spoke. It would be Zukarinkuari that would do the speaking. "This man. . Whom ever he calls himself is a threat. Someone who wished tot take away Katekarin into some place named the Soul Society" he started off. Zukarinkuari remembered what Shade had told to Katekarin because they were in the same body when this happened, so he experienced everything that Katekarin was put through. "He demanded that he come with them. But Katekarin was naive and did not see a threat when it came to it. He only wanted to rest and have tea, but it was rudely interrupted when he slapped what looked like his favorite tea cup onto the ground and caused it to shatter. Katekarin had an emotional breakdown looking at the shards and snapped thus releasing me. He at the moment is too deep to retrieve even if I wanted to. This. . being, I want to kill." he continued staring. He remembered and placed his hand on his rib. "My rib is also broken." he made a short saying.

[Shade Kawada]

Shade was not taken off-guard by Katekarin’s sudden appearance behind him, after all he’d been far off when he was first traveling and he didn’t use a step technique. The soul reaper turned just in time to see the gas begin to leak out of Katekarin’s mask. Unfortunately for the fullbringer, Shade was now aware that he needed to stay out of the gas at all costs, so just before he was caught inside the explosion, the shinigami dove out of the gas and shielded himself with his cloak just as the area he’d been standing detonated. He’d meant what he thought to himself. The same trick was not about to work on him twice, for Shade was a quick learner. The lieutenant reached inside his shinigami robes with one hand as if he planned on withdrawing a hidden weapon when a third person showed her face. Shade sensed her presence an instant before she appeared on the scene and ran to Katekarin with open arms. They seemed to know each other, but the question was, was she a fullbringer as well? By the feel of her reiatsu, Shade guessed that she was quite possibly captain-level. It didn’t take long for Shizuka to dispel any doubts about her being able to see him as she turned and looked him in the eyes and spoke, “By the way, who are you?” Katekarin mistook the woman’s words to be directed at him, but Shade knew that he was the person she was glaring at. The lieutenant waited for the fullbringer to stop talking, and when he did the soul reaper answered in a voice filled with malice and ill intent.

The soul reaper stood there for a moment. His eyes widened as thoughts swirled in his head. If this girl was indeed another fullbringer... Shade stood silent for a moment lost in pure thought as Katekarin spoke with the woman. “There are two fullbringers that seem to know each other... Both live in the same general area or are traveling together... The possibility that they know other fullbringers is high, in which case..............” The lieutenant’s genius mind placed the pieces of the puzzle together and he instantly looked up towards Shizuka with an almost frightened expression on his face. “An organization...” he whispered under his breath. That was the most likely explanation for the large concentration of such humans in such a small area. Just how long had such an organization existed if it existed at all? What were their goals? Were they aware of Soul Society or Heuco Mundo? Whose side were they on? There were so many questions to ask, and Shade quickly regained his composure as he responded to the woman’s question in such a way that was meant to test her knowledge of the shinigami world.

“My name is Shade Kawada, Vice-captain of Squad 11 and head of the Kawada family...” he said as his eyes turned up towards the two fullbringers, “And you are a fullbringer, are you not? If indeed you are, I will need one of you to come with me to the Soul Society... It’s not every day a shinigami encounters humans who can fight at the level of a seated officer...” The soul reaper stated his case calmly and logically to the humans, but more importantly, Shade used terminology that only those familiar with the ranking system in Soul Society would understand. If their organization had indeed been briefed on the inner workings of Seireitei, then they’d know exactly what Shade said meant. If not, then he wouldn’t have given away anything important anyway. Right now, Shade was merely determining whether or not he take one into custody or kill them both right here. Shizuka would find one word particularly interesting, however. Shade had just referred to himself as a shinigami. This would likely spark some type of aggressive response from her as Shade’s evil reiatsu thundered throughout the area. “So... What will it be... humans?” muttered the soul reaper as his grip tightened around both his swords.

"He at the moment is too deep to retrieve even if I wanted to. This. . being, I want to kill. My rib is also broken."

"Ohmigosh, Zuka! Sorry!" She let go quickly, not wanting to hurt him anymore than he was. He was standing, though. Which was good. "I hope I didn't hurt you any more! I'd just never forgive myself for that!"

Yes, Shizuka's naturally nice personality often times kicked in whenever one of her friends was hurt. She went into immediate Mother Mode and wanted to care for Zukarinkuari just to make sure he was okay after the whole attack. She couldn't possibly imagine what happened to him if all he was doing was fighting some random guy in a black robe. But, wait a minute. She's seen that black robe somewhere before. Wasn't it at school or something? Maybe a while ago.. Shizuka paused for a moment and closed her eyes, struggling to remember. She placed her hand in a fist underneath her chin with her other arm supporting it. Why couldn't she recall? And what was with the giant sword thing? Wait, she remembered that, too! It was all coming back to her now. The black robe, the swords, the weird aura he summoned that clouded his entire body.. She recognized it. Because she's seen it before. She saw it when. . .

"Sozen! Sozen looked like him! He had the same thing going on as this guy does. So, hold up.. Are they in a cult?" She talked to herself, not intending anyone to hear her. But simple words poured into her ears. Just two.

“My name is Shade Kawada, Vice-captain of Squad 11 and head of the Kawada family... And you are a fullbringer, are you not? If indeed you are, I will need one of you to come with me to the Soul Society... It’s not every day a shinigami encounters humans who can fight at the level of a seated officer...”

Shi.. Shinigami..? That's a Shinigami?

“So... What will it be... humans?”

Disbelief and anger. Shizuka's eyes went wide as she felt both emotions cloud her mind and vision. She crushed her hands into fists lowered her head beneath the shadows of her hair, baring her teeth like some sort of predator. She was furious. Just hearing the word slide off his tongue as if it were no big deal made her want to kill him. She took deep breaths and let them out loudly through her mouth. Looking back up at him, her eyes met his own, and cruelty bled through her eyes from her own thoughts. She wanted him to know. First they tortured her aunt and made her deathly afraid of the whole race to start, then they dared show their ugly faces in her town?! But the more she thought about it, the more she recalled her substitute teacher back at school. He wore those robes. He had a sword like those. He was also a Shinigami, and she felt sick. But even mixed in all of these emotions, she smiled. And her smile wasn't pretty. It wasn't innocent. It was intended to be threatening, or startling if anything at all.

Shizuka stretched her right arm out above her head as her famous heels glowed a bright green color, highlighting her face from below. The light disappeared from her feet and materialized into a gun above her, which she caught in her and and rested on her shoulder. The bucket was placed elsewhere. The air around the top of the bucket, as Shizuka glanced in the direction it was, began quivering and moving around because of intense heat, just like someone would see with a road on a hot summer's day. She didn't know if her first plan was exactly the best to start with, but she wanted to figure something out. And the only way to succeed is to base your observations off failure, right? The only problem - and it always came down to this - was her curiosity. All she wanted was to learn about him and his life. She was never taught anything about Shinigami, which was why, she figured, she didn't recognize Sozen as one until now. But...

"Why do you want one of us?" She let her attitude express itself more as she pointed her gun at Shade. "I'd ask more politely but you're ticking me off."

Fullbring Stage 1: 1/10

Zukarinkuari stared at Shizuka then stared at the Shinigami who had dodged his attack. He continued to growl as Shade began to explain whom he was. This guy was really beginning get on his nerves, the way he stares and how explained so calmly after he had attempted to kill him. This type of person was really getting on his nerves.

“My name is Shade Kawada, Vice-captain of Squad 11 and head of the Kawada family... And you are a fullbringer, are you not? If indeed you are, I will need one of you to come with me to the Soul Society... It’s not every day a shinigami encounters humans who can fight at the level of a seated officer...” the military? He had his ranks on the military!? You have to be kidding me, Zukarinkuari stared at Shade some more. Under the gas mask he had continued to growl and make threatening faces at this person he now knows as Shade. He figured that since he knew to dodge gas that he released that was visible. Why not retract and make something that he could not see.

He breathed in, the noise was loud to where Shizuka could of heard the gasp and breathing as the gas mask had filtered gas. Then a familiar hiss as broken down gas components were escaping from his gas mask. These gas would soon break apart and begin to mix with the atmosphere, and was harmless at as it was. He turned to Shizuka and softly but quickly spoke to her. "I'll be back. But if the time comes, and we are about to lose. Get ready to go, I have a plan to ensure you get out of here safely" when he was done Zukarinkuari breathed in again and began to absorb the air around him, choosing apart the gas and use only one element. An element that was dreadful and could cause a a rather nasty burn. the element was Hydrogen. The best part about it is that the flames are near invisible when ignited. Meaning that he would feel the burns of intense almost invisible flame. How hot they burned as a staggering 932 degrees Fahrenheit. A dangerous temperature especially if he wanted to surround someone with it. He was tired by all of this and wanted to end it soon. This "Shade" if done correctly would receive burns that would very well reach into the third degrees. If not worse.

He figured that if his speed was too slow to do the job, then it would seem that he would have to use his faithful technique Fullbring Step and surround him bit by bit quickly to make it seem he is just running around the Shinigami. Due to the particles of the Hydrogen being clear and impossible to see with the naked eye. It would seem to be the perfect plan, with his speed and the invisible gas. He used his ability to control the flow to quickly surround him. Hydrogen after all was an odorless, tasteless and clear gas. To him it would seem as if nothing happened.

He smiled under his gas mask and added another 10 ft of gas into his range and quickly released it all around him and Shizuka before he was off to surround Shade with gas. He ran past him once to allow half the invisible cloud to cover his frontal half and did a quick run around to cover his back. Soon he was encased with 30 ft radius of Hydrogen. Before he even stopped Zukarinkuari caused the Hydrogen cloud to ignite, to Shade and Shizuka, it would seem as if Zukarinkuari had just ran a circle around him and if Shade was caught by the Hydrogen explosion, his clothing and possibly his skin would suffer immense burns as it would turn orange from the invisible flames that burned all the way up to 932 degrees.

“Why do you want one of us?” came the reply from the woman as she released her fullbring. This was one of the first times that Shade got a good look a fullbringer releasing their powers. Shade took note as Shizuka removed her shoes and watched as they transformed into a gun and bucket. Was this similar to a shinigami’s release? Did humans use everyday objects in the same way soul reapers used zanpakutou, and with that said, could they use any item they just so happened to find or was it limited to a specific object? Did the fact she acquired a gun mean that she preferred long-range fights? Both of the soul reaper’s swords spun around in his hands and were simultaneously stopped and caught as he leaned forwards and took an aggressive stance. “Why is none of your concern...” he replied as his eyes remained locked on them both. Shade took a brief moment to look at his surroundings. There was a park nearby with a lake in it. The streets were empty for the most part and devoid of any decoration other than the occasional street light or manhole. He would need to take these into account if he planned on fighting both of them at once. Luckily Katekarin possessed an ability he could take advantage of. If he remained close to the woman at all times, then he’d be unable to detonate his gas unless he was willing to injure her in the process, but Shade doubted that would be the case as he spoke to her. “I’ll be back. But if the time comes, and we are about to lose. Get ready to go, I have a plan to ensure you get out of here safely,” he said to Shizuka as began to enact his plan.

The soul reaper didn’t know what Katekarin was planning, but he wasn’t about to wait for it to happen. As soon as the fullbringer started running forward in an attempt to run around him and spread the gas quicker, Shade ran straight at Shizuka with both his weapons held at each side. Katekarin had not demonstrated the ability to narrow in on a single target yet, and Shade was hoping that all his abilities attacked a large area and he’d be unable to use his abilities on him without in turn harming Shizuka. The soul reaper disappeared with a shunpo as he began his sprint at Shizuka, and upon exiting his step technique behind the woman, he noticed the heat coming out from the bucket. Just what importance did the bucket play in all of this? The shinigami quickly got in close to Shizuka, taking any possibility of a ranged fight away from her, but that was not the only reason the soul reaper got in close. There were in fact TWO other reasons why stepping in close behind Shizuka would factor into Shade’s advantage. First of all, Shizuka’s gun was long, and if she spun around, the muzzle of the gun would be unable to aim itself in his direction. His shadow completely overshadowed her own as he stood between her and the sun. His chest was practically against her back as his trench coat spread open like the hood of a cobra.

From this close, how could Shade possibly fight with two long katana? The answer was not in the blades, but rather in the butt of his zanpakutou. Almost immediately upon exiting his shunpo behind her, Shade flipped his zanpakutou around in his hand so that it was being held upside-down, and he thrust it directly at the woman’s torso. This blunt attack was one developed by the Kawada family and was intended to be used as an opening move when unsheathing the blade to end the fight early, but it could be used in the heat of battle as well if the shinigami in question got past his opponent’s guard. This technique was called “Kyohaku” or “Star.” It was the final of three sword techniques taught to every Kawada member upon being accepted to the shinigami academy. Katekarin was already familiar with the second one named “Taiyou” or “Sun.” If it hit Shizuka’s torso then not only would she feel the staggering affects of being hit by someone with Shade’s immense strength, but a shockwave of energy would travel through her body and practically shatter her spine, throwing her back out in the process. This would be a swift end to the fight if it hit, and it was in her best interest not to be hit with this technique. She would not die, but she would be in prime condition to be taken against her will to Soul Society.

As Shade did this he noticed that he was breathing harder. It felt strange because he wasn’t tired. There was only one explanation. The air had gotten thinner. Was this a result of the woman’s fullbring? Or was this a new ability of the gas-user? The reason Shade’s and Shizuka would have a harder time breathing would be because the amount of oxygen one would breathe in per breath was drastically lowered with the large influx of hydrogen. The human body needed oxygen to live, not hydrogen. And with more hydrogen in the air, each breath yielded less oxygen per breath. This was the only clue that Shade was given to work on as he attacked Shizuka, confident that as long as he stayed near her, Katekarin wouldn’t dare attack him if it meant hurting her.

“Why is none of your concern...”

How rude! She just asked him a simple little question and he wouldn't even answer her! That's mean. How hard was it to just tell her a little something about himself? Or about what she actually asked...? Not that she cared. She didn't care at all. Nope, her curiosity definitely was not killing her, especially since this is the first Shinigami she's ever really come in such close contact with when she actually knew what he was. So she could be a bit of a ditz sometimes, but can't everyone? Can't she get a break just this one time and make him answer her questions? She wanted to know a ton! And when would she ever get a chance like that again? It wasn't fair! But Zukarinkuari was also planning something. Shizuka noticed Shade looking about everywhere, which was honestly kind of weird, especially since she was standing right there. He had been staring intensely, but did he get distracted easily, too? Couldn't they just be friends?

"I wonder if he's got a family or something. Maybe parents? Uh, not that I would care about that or anything..." She was just about the worst liar on the planet.

“I’ll be back. But if the time comes, and we are about to lose. Get ready to go, I have a plan to ensure you get out of here safely,” Zukarinkuari shouted to Shizuka a warning to foreshadow what he was doing. But she didn't want him to harm himself. It wasn't worth it. If she had to give up and go with this guy, she'd just handle it herself. But, wait...

Shade started running towards Shizuka in an instant. At first it was a fast pace, but he was still visible. She knew she could evade something like that. She was fast, too. So it shouldn't have been a problem. Well, "shouldn't have" was basically what she hoped. If Zukarinkuari wants to protect me, he'd make sure the gas didn't get near me. But.. So that was why it was harder for her to breathe! It was because he was going closer to her. Well, that's not a problem! It's not like he can just disappear or anything, right? Oh, but of course he could. Shizuka's hopes and desires were always just a small dream short of reality. But that didn't matter right now. Just as Shade disappeared with speed, Shizuka sensed that his track was still on her path. He was running at her. She did a quick glance down towards her bucket, already having a general idea of what she needed to do. And she got that opportunity the moment she felt him behind her with the sound of his coat tails spreading open in the wind left behind.

She knew she couldn't shoot him. That was pointless. She had a three-foot long barrel and the only thing that would get her was a bruise on his face if she tried anything like that. However, she didn't. Instead, right when she felt him behind her, she disappeared with Bringer Light, which caused a column of bright, white light to be left behind in front of him. That light would blind Shade, and the sudden flash would disorient and stun him before he could attack her. He would've had to keep his eyes directly on her for any accuracy, so he wouldn't have been able to close them or look away. By the time he started anything, he would have already been blinded. Since Shade was stunned and in the middle of an attack that used an extremely large amount of physical strength, he wouldn't be able to defend.

The use of Bringer Light gave her the chance to disappear behind him, and as she did so, she manipulated the ground to launch the bucket so the contents were shot into him simultaneously with her movement, and she made sure most of it was aimed at his swords, though a decent amount was also covering his body. The bucket refilled with the same liquid inside because she wished for it, which was also dumped out on Shade while the bucket was airborne, completing the entire thing with one hundred gallons and not just fifty. There would be no way to get out of that unharmed. He shouldn't be able to shunpo since he's attacking, and even if he wasn't attacking her, he would still be blinded and stunned from the light like a flash bomb. As she was behind him, she manipulated the air currents to deflect any loose liquid from touching her. Afterwards she used "Movement," which she used to catch the bucket and disappear again, out of the way.

Here's where it got fun. Inside of her bucket was heated acid. Shade would be covered from head to toe with that, burning and dissolving away from the temperature and the corrosive nature. Since she aimed it at his swords and it was also so heated, the burning and dissolving would eat away at the metal of his swords and destroy them since they would be melted and corroded. The rest of him would just be disintegrated underneath the death quilt of acid that covered his body. This allowed Zukarinkuari an opening to do whatever else with him that he wanted to, and Shizuka wasn't near Shade anymore. Instead, she managed to get about thirty yards away from him so she could watch what he did. She was holding her gun tightly in her hand with her bucket next to her.

He was gone?! Sprinted towards Shizuka without him noticing. And now both of them were covered in the hydrogen cloud. Anger filled Zukarinkuari as he stared desperate enough to stop the detonation. This "Shade" was that desperate enough to attack someone younger than him!? What was wrong with this guy, it was clear that he did not care who he had to step on to get what he wants, that he admired. But because it was Shizuka, he would never allow such a thing. An pissed off grin appeared under the gas mask as he stared at shade.

"you like targeting people that got no problem with ya huh. She didnt do anything. And watch, when were done. You will wish you never did that" he growled. For now Shade was safe, because he was extremely close to Shizuka, albeit they both would find it hard to breathe. He would never allow the hydrogen to burn them. He stood there continuing to growl. This guy had the tactic he admired, not caring who he stepped on. But he chose to step on the wrong person. The hydrogen around them continued to go without being burned, instead it was being breathed in. There was too much for them to breathe it all but he wanted to make more. He was angry and did not care how he died. He just wanted to kill this "Shade"

His opportunity came when Shizuka used fullbring step and had gotten away from Shade. Not only that but it was clear that he would of been blinded by the immense column of light. More of this came when she appeared behind Shade and used another to step upwards and over and pour what looked like Acid all over him. This brought a clear window for him to do what he wanted to do, Shade would of been covered in burning acid. Because of that it gave him the opportunity he was dying to do. When it was clear that Shizuka was far way, he immediately leaked more Hydrogen. He did not want to waste time, so when he sped up the process to release it, he wanted to make sure it was a finisher so he added 20 ft of hydrogen making him release 50 ft of hydrogen at an alarming speed. Almost immediately Shade and Zukarinkuari was covered in 80 ft radius of hydrogen, because he already had 30 ft of hydrogen in the air, the 50 he added made it into a considerable large. He used the rest of the energy to quickly use Fullbring step and get to the same spot that Shizuka was. Immediately, even before he landed and was able to turn around, he caused the hydrogen cloud to combust, the near clear flames would be seen as everything nearby in a 80 ft radius would burst into flames while no one could see the near invisible hydrogen fire. Shade was caught in the middle and he would experience 932 degree fire as he should suffer 3rd degree burns if not worse. Because they were standing exactly 4 ft away from the 80 ft fireball, they would just feel the immense heat from the fire. Standing next to Shizuka, Zukarinkuari let out a loud laugh. The laugh was one that seemed like it was victory. Only time would tell whether they were victorious or not.

Although it wouldn’t affect her plan too much, there was one thing Shizuka had assumed that was wrong. The attack that Shade was using, while it indeed possessed considerable power, it did not cause the shinigami to lose his balance. Kyohaku inflicted an immense amount of damage with a mere thrust of a few inches. That is what made it so lethal. As soon as Shizuka used Bringer Light, Shade knew that she was gone. This wasn’t his first time witnessing this particular brand of step technique and it would be a lie to say that he wasn’t expecting it. For a split second the lieutenant was blinded by the sudden burst of light, and in this time the girl moved herself away from her assailant and launched the bucket that was lying nearby into the air at the lieutenant. In an instant the lieutenant abandoned his plan to attack Shizuka with Kyohaku and instead lifted his zanpakutou towards the source of the noise he just heard. The noise that Shade heard was, in fact the bucket being launched off the ground, and the liquid flying through the air at him. Unfortunately, Shade’s sword was unable to block a bucketful of liquid flying in his direction, and it splashed all over his forearm, zanpakutou, and got on his cloak and face.

Now, Shizuka’s bucket held 50 gallons, which was plenty to drench every inch of the shinigami, so why had only his zanpakutou, face, forearm, chest, and shoulder get hit with the liquid. Well, Shade’s mind was working at light speed and it had always considered the possibility that Shizuka would use a step technique to transport herself out of harm’s way. He’d also taken note of the bucket nearby and the steam coming out of it. It wasn’t surprising for him to assume that it was full of some kind of hot liquid. Now, as soon as the shinigami felt this mysterious liquid touch his arm and face he used a shunpo which brought him to the edge of the lake he’d seen earlier. This happened before Katekarin could detonate the hydrogen and as a result of his retreat, he’d inadvertently dodged the other fullbringer’s follow-up attack. At this point, Shade was unaware that the liquid was acid, but he could feel how hot the fluid felt on his face. It was burning! The shinigami dove into the cool lake as his cloak came apart from the acid eating away at it. This would also protect him from the other fullbringer’s gas attacks, but he couldn’t stay underwater forever. The water would neutralize the acid on his face and chest in the process, but the damage had still been done. Even as he was submerged into the water, the acid tore apart his face, chest, and arm leaving them all looking terribly disfigured. The shinigami grimaced as he sank to the bottom of the lake. The burns on his face, back, chest, and arm were so painful. He’d let this fight go on for too long without seeing much results.

Unfortunately for Shizuka, she’d given Shade a peek at her abilities. Using the knowledge he’d gathered from both fullbringers, he concluded that the best course of action to take was to stay as close to Shizuka or Katekarin as possible. If one of them used burning acid as a weapon and the other used explosive gas, then it would be difficult for them to combat a close-range fighter such as Shade while he was engaging their ally. The soul reaper stood at the bottom of the lake, deep in thought. Small bubbles emerged from his chest, face, and arm as the acid at away at his skin, but it slowly stopped as the H2O eventually reached equilibrium with the acid. The soul reaper looked at his right arm. It was incredibly burned, and the soul reaper doubted he could use it to its full potential anymore. As far as his chest and face went, they stung incredibly bad, but in the grand scheme of things, they would not hinder his fighting. He’d underestimated the woman. She was a quick thinker and possessed a formidable ability. It was at this moment when the soul reaper noticed his blade had also been made dull by the acid eating away at it. Luckily his sword was made of tougher stuff than he was, so while it was now useless in terms of cutting, it remained intact. It had been foolish of him to go this long without releasing his zanpakutou, so before he ran out of breath, the soul reaper emerged from the lake and flew into the air, leaving a tall tower of water shooting out of the lake behind him.

“Devour everything in your midst... BURAINDO KIRA!!!” shouted the soul reaper as he released his zanpakutou for both the fullbringers to see. The look on Shade’s face was horrifying. Half of it was almost completely eaten away, and in addition to that the lieutenant looked absolutely furious. He’d been calm and composed before, but now Shade appeared to have just lost it completely. Shizuka and Katekarin would watch as a tiny mouth emerged in the center of the shinigami’s zanpakutou. The mouth would then proceed to open and begin vomiting out blood, guts, and puss. This organic material would then surround the blade in a disgusting manner and morph it into the soul reaper’s shikai. This was Shade’s way of countering Shizuka’s acid. If that fluid made his blade dull, then he’d simply enter shikai and make his blade sharp again. The shinigami’s dark aura expanded outwards and hit each of the fullbringers as the soul reaper’s sword finished transforming. This was the signal of the next round of their fight. It was at this point that Shade noticed that the air over here was much easier to breathe due to the absence of hydrogen in the air. The shinigami’s eyes opened wide at this realization. If the air was harder to breathe over there, that meant he wasn’t able to get much oxygen per breath. That meant that the air had a low concentration of oxygen due to a high concentration of something else. Had Katekarin filled the air with an odorless, colorless poison? If so, he’d already lost! The soul reaper gritted his teeth as he waited for them both to attack. He knew that if the mysterious gas Katekarin was putting into the air wasn’t for the purpose of poisoning him, then it was likely for the purpose of detonation.

"That doesn't sound good. By the laws of general chemistry and physics, he should be dead by now. Oh, well."

Shizuka watched from her distance as Shade released his... that thing, and questioned herself on what it was actually called. She knew absolutely nothing about Shinigami! That was even more embarrassing than the fact that he didn't die! But all she could do was sit back and watch as some disgusting thing just started spreading from his blade. The amount of questions flying through her head right now was ridiculous. She wanted to ask all about his powers, where he was from, what kind of life he had, his family, his friends, where he was from, what his middle name was, why he needed a human, what the difference between a human and Shinigami was, where he was from, and most importantly, where he was from. But obviously he would never answer her. Or would he? Shizuka wasn't bothered by him yet, even though she automatically hated him because of her corrupted opinion. She was just ultra super curious now.

"Hey, Shade! Where are you from? Do you have a family?" She asked, immediately remembering how nice she sounded. "I mean, not that I would care about anything like that. You're just a disgusting thing that plagued all of us."

She hoped he would answer, but of course she wasn't expecting it. Shizuka held her gun's trigger and rested it on her right shoulder. Her bucket was placed on the ground next to her, not yet filled, because she hadn't thought of what the contents should be. She was just standing back and wishing he could tell her all about his life, sit down, maybe have cake or something, whatever floats his boat. But she knew she was kidding herself. Still, it was worth a shot. So she asked question after question after question, thinking maybe he would answer at least one of them. Even if he didn't, she would just keep asking. Nothing stopped Shizuka once she had an idea in her mind. She wanted to know absolutely everything about Shinigami, and she would probably never meet one that would be nice to her without wanting to attack her. How annoying is that? So using this time to pregunta him a question was brilliant.

"Do you have friends? Are they close to you? Do you work for people? Are those people your friends?" Again, she regretted sounding polite. "Well, as if you would have any friends... But, I mean, if you did."

She hated sounding so mean, too! But he was attacking her. Why should she be nice to such a jerk? Thinking it might be best, anyway, Shizuka waited back in her spot to analyze what the Shinigami was going to do to her next. She hated attacking first and preferred defending. However, she could work with it both ways. It didn't matter to her at this point. Shizuka started having a bit of trouble breathing, though. Each breath was getting more shallow, but she was able to push herself to breathe heavily and take in more normal oxygen. She was too far away from Katekarin's gases for them to have an effect, and she wasn't near the stuff he shot out from before when Shade was near her. So, Shizuka assumed she would be fine and just needed to catch herself and rest for a short second. She remained aware, though, and made sure she kept a close eye on Shade. She didn't want him sneaking up on her again. It wasn't worth it.

"Are you going to answer me? It would be nice to."

“Devour everything in your midst... BURAINDO KIRA!!!” When he had released his Zanpakuto, he had sent out a great dark aura that Zukarinkuari felt. Immediately it was a dark and deathly type of feeling. It not only turned into excitement, but also was able give a sense of wary. As he could see that another new battle was about to commence. His laugh died down but his grin remained. The look of Buraindo Kira was both fascinating and disgusting. It made him remember the first time when he experienced someone dying by his gas. Blood, saliva and puke began to pour down. He had stopped the detonation once he saw Shade was gone from the cloud, and he was far away. Saving the 80 ft gas cloud would of been a good move because he now new what he should do.

"Now the real games begin." he growled. He gathered the 80 ft cloud and had made his move around shade. Using his physical speed got away from where Shizuka was and made the gas follow, getting out of Shades line of sight and getting 20 ft away from him. Using fullbring step he made it so that he was at the same level that he with shade. If this would of worked out, he would of been able to do again what he wanted done. The 80 ft gas was around him and around shade so he did not find it difficult to breathe. Immediately though he caused half of the gas to quickly surround Shade and combust before he could have the chance to breathe. The distance from Zukarinkuari and Shade prevented the Hydrogen around Zukarinkuari to combust. The speed it took to get this completed was quick because of Katekarins natural speed. Shade would have to suffer through the immense burns.

This woman was so full of questions. Shade’s family life was none of Shizuka’s concern, and he ignored the girl’s inane chatter in an attempt to avoid developing any sort of relationship with her. Gone were the days when Shade could treat a close comrade like absolute trash and not have it register on his conscience. Ever since the soul reaper had regained his emotions, he’d found that treating people like trash that he related with on a daily basis was getting harder and harder. The questions kept coming and Shade’s naturally suspicious mind was beginning to wonder if they were secretly planning something. The soul reaper’s head tilted towards Katekarin and he noticed the fullbringer making his move. “Of course!” thought the soul reaper, “He’s manipulating his invisible gas and I’m just standing around here waiting for him! So that's their plan. She distracts me while he destroys me... Well it won't work... The other fullbringer woman can spew some sort of acidic liquid from that bucket of hers. I’m still uncertain what the gun does, but that bucket looks incredibly unguarded... My best option right now is to go back to my old strategy and stay close to the woman. I’ll need to pay careful attention to her ability and make sure I don’t get hit by something like that again...”

Shade worked out what he was going to do in his mind as Katekarin came flying at him. Shade recalled when the fullbringer had first demonstrated his ability to manipulate his gas. The cloud had followed him as he charged forwards exactly like this. There was a good chance that the fullbringer was repeating the same strategy with invisible gas this time around. It didn’t seem like invisible gas was poisonous, because he didn’t seem to feel any ill-effects from breathing it in earlier. That meant that it was purely for the purpose of detonation. Perhaps it would help if he knew what type of gas the fullbringer used, but Shade was still not aware of the limits of what Katekarin could create. Nevertheless, Shade didn’t plan on sticking around to be blown up. The soul reaper sheathed his second blade and reached into his robes as the fullbringer used a fullbring step to leap up to his level. Recognizing the threat and realizing that he was far outmatched in terms of speed, the shinigami used shunpo once again to leave Katekarin by the lake as he transported himself next to Shizuka again just as the fullbringer detonated the gas. It seemed that he’d timed it perfectly and had escaped right in the nick of time.

Luck was on the shinigami’s side as he reappeared without a scratch on him in between her and her bucket. Well, that was untrue. Half of Shade’s face, chest, and all of his right arm were eroded away. He almost looked like two-face from Batman. Needless to say, Shade’s strength was greatly weakened in his right arm and simply touching the shinigami’s chest or face would deal him tremendous pain right now. However, Shizuka would be surprised by the soul reaper’s swift movement as he removed his hand from his cloak and with it, what appeared to be an ice-blue desert eagle handgun. What did this weapon do? Well, Shizuka would find out as he aimed it directly behind him at the bucket and pulled the trigger. A blue ball of reiatsu instantly flew out of its barrel and collided with the bucket, covering it in a large chunk of ice. Shizuka’s bucket would be frozen to the ground by the ice gun and she’d be unable to do the same trick she’d done before. As he did this, the soul reaper swung his zanpakutou at the woman’s weapon, putting his blade between her and him in case she tried anything direct.

OOC: Sup, guys! I'm taking a temporary withdrawal because this is mainly for clockwork. I can still participate if you guys want but I keep forgetting about posting in here, and I'm like "Oh, this is embarrassing..." So, my bad. Oopsie! Anyway, so yeah. Just let me know what you want to do.

Shade had dodged Zukarinkuaris attempt to cook the Shinigami yet again but instead has gotten back to his strategy of trying to stay as close as possible to his ally Shizuka. When he had heard a gun fire he immediately looked to see what had happened to see that Shizuka's bucket had been frozen to the ground. A firearm!? He had no idea that he would be carrying heat. And had underestimated his opponent and now Shizuka was put in danger, being next to one that had wielded a weapon that can kill another person from a distance or up close with either a bullet or blunt force trauma due to a pistol whip. He had to get her away from him and he knew what to do.

"This ends here. We have to get out." he said to himself as he re breathed the remaining 40 ft of gas and used more reiatsu to make more room for gas. He used a total of 200 to make it 60 ft of gas and to and made another personal favorite. A gas that has more kick than merely combusting it. It had the power of 5 IEDs exploding at once, a single IED can cause massive damage and 5 could cause devastating effects. With that he immediately got in the vicinity of Shizuka and flooded the area around him and Shade as he picked up Shizuka to get away. As soon as he had Shizuka he used Fullbringer light and got away, his speed plue the usage of fullbringer light would of been more than enough to get distance between him and shade. Before he took off he left a message "Till we meet again.. Shinigami scum" as soon as he was out of the gas cloud he had caused he wanted to leave a present and a way to get away. He caused the gas to detonate and that meant that it would cause an explosion as large as 5 IEDs exploding. With that said Zukarinkuari kept going further and further away from the battle zone and a place where he knew he could hide. This battle may have ended with his loss. But Shade has been forever engraved into his head. One of these days they will meet again, but instead of it being in an out door open arena. It will be on his terms of comfort, and he shall create his very first gas chamber. And have a test subject who is more than willing to be his first.
