Arc 2: Canon 37: Need No Guns (7) [Complete]

[Ranmyaku Youmei]

“Bakudo 61! Rikujōkōrō!” stated the reptile loudly as six beams of light slammed into the arrancar’s midsection. It didn’t seem like Yamato was paying much attention to him. He watched as his kidou spell was swiftly broken under the arrancar’s brute strength. He was lucky he didn’t engage in grappling with the Escudo for it would have surely meant his death. The captain watched as the lasers connected in front of him and began to move around to Yamato’s back. The arrancar was now surrounded by the three fighters and observed the Escudo, looking for an opening.

“Live unsealed once again, Isutsu Natsuin!” yelled the lizard as his blade transformed in his hand to take the form of a long staff-like weapon with a bladed end. Five rings pierced through the blunt side of the blade and it was a vibrant, golden color. This was the captain’s shikai, Isutsu Natsuin. The shinigami spun it in front of him and held it out to his side, still looking for an opportunity to end the fight. Then he saw it. Yamato left himself wide open after he threw the bladed portion of his weapon. For awhile he would be unarmed and off balance just as the ball left his hands. This is when Ranmyaku decided to make his move.

Yamato got his sights set on Rin and just he chucked the ball at her Ranmyaku used a shunpo to bring him 6 feet away from the arrancar. He was out of the Escudo’s reach, yet Yamato was in the perfect range to be cut by Ranmyaku’s lengthy shikai. With a long horizontal slash Ranmyaku brought Isutsu Natsuin screeching across the arrancar’s midsection. It was effective teamwork. Rin would take attack and attention while the captain made an attack from behind while he was off-balance. Yamato’s hierro was practically non-existent and the captain’s blade would carve through him like a hot knife through butter when it hit.

Ranmyaku's blade simply impacted against Yamato, but went no further. This was the chance that Yamato had been awaiting. A chance to release, and give it his all. It was in that moment that everyone would see it, the true power of one of the Escudo's best. Ranmyaku's blade continued, scraping across Yamato, but not penetrating him at all. Of course, the shirt tore off completely to reveal the reason behind it. Reiatsu was flowing around Yamato wildly, and it then became evident in that moment what it was that was happening, and why it was that Ranmyaku could not penetrate Yamato with that attack.

He had initiated a blow that he hoped would finish the battle. That was too quick. Yamato had been waiting for such an opportunity. Reiatsu was overflowing from him, and with the removal of his shirt, it became apparent that a white bone-like substance was covering his whole body. It extended from his mask fragment and down, forming shoulders, and a covering for the whole torso. And it was still spreading even then. The reiatsu made a powerful explosive sound, like a cannon, and fired into the air, forming a column of dark blue reiatsu around Yamato. The bone fragments started to turn black, and covered his whole body as a black bone-substance football uniform. His mask fragment became a helmet once again.

The only thing that could be seen inside of the helmet was blackness, and glowing, bright red eyes. The football, which he'd thrown only seconds ago, had stopped inches from Rin, and then disappeared. His body also doubled in size, his muscles puffing out, expanding, and tightening even more. "TACKLE, SHUUKYUU!" Yamato roared, his reiatsu stopping its overflow, and at last revealing him in his full glory. Ressurection had been initiated. Yamato turned to Ranmyaku, who had been the last attacker, and who was still nearby. He charged him, using a much faster speed than before, blasting outwards towards him. That wasn't good. Not at all.

Despite his Cero, it seemed that the bastard was counterattacking right through Rio's own Cero! Thankfully the Cero cut down on some of the momentum, so rather than punch a hole clear through the Quinta, it merely impacted on his abdominals, sending up a spray of blood and smashing Rio back a few feet. "Khk... What the hell.... What kind of retarded strength is that!?" Rio growled. Fuck.... to even smash me back despite that Cero.... Could this guy be even stronger than I am!? There's an Escudo that's THAT strong!?" Rio thought incredulously.

Placing his hand on his torso, he stared at the blood on his hand, as if unable to believe he'd been wounded. Ranmyaku and Rin were still putting up a fight, to be sure, which would momentarily keep the heat off of Rio whilst he did this. "You fuckin' asshole..... Well. Let's see how you like THIS!" Extending his bloody hand towards the Escudo, Rio started charging a Cero just as he released. Rio didn't fucking care. He was pissed off. Heck, pissed didn't even start to describe how Rio felt. "GRAN REY CERO!" The Espada roared in fury.

His blood mingled with the charging Cero and from his hand erupted a Cero of monstrous proportions, a vivid green in color, tearing through the air at an accelerated rate. Rio intended to hit the Escudo just as his Ressurection finished, where he'd have no reiatsu shield, and because Rio was behind him, very little time to react to such a massive attack. Gran Rey Ceros were among the most powerful techniques in an Espada's arsenal, so although Yamato now had a higher reiatsu strength than Rio did, it was highly probable he'd still take serious injury. Given that this was an Escudo, it was unlikely that he'd be killed (not that it kept Rio from hoping), but nonetheless, serious injury, and possibly the loss of a limb could result from this attack. He'd launched his blast just as he finished his release, so his attention would be on Ranmyaku, but it would still hit him before his charge, giving the reptile at least SOME hope of getting clear.

And quite frankly, if this attack failed, the thee combatants were likely in an extremely bad situation. Speaking of which, it would be in Ranmyaku and Rin's best interests to move, as the immense Cero, even if it was successful in hitting Yamato, would probably overwhelm him and keep going. And with Ranmyaku so close he'd be the next target. Rin had a bit more distance, but for the sake of precaution it would be a good idea to move. Gran Rey Ceros were truly collosal attacks.

Yamato's movements did not stop. In fact, he completely ignored the Gran Rey Cero as he kept on charging at Ranmyaku. The Gran Rey Cero impacted, a devastating explosion rocking everything. Smoke, black and thick, moved outwards from the source of the explosion to cover the area momentarily. It was from out of that smoke that Yamato emerged, completely unharmed, continuing to run straight at Ranmyaku. What?! There wasn't a single hint of damage on his body! There were only black marks on his armor from the ash, and maybe a couple of burns on the armor here and there.

Yamato...was completely unaffected by Gran Rey Cero! (OOC: By the way, it gives costs for each level of Cero in the canon hollow techniques page. Cero aren't "classed." Check out that page to understand.) Yamato kept moving, whether or not Ranmyaku managed to dodge him. If Ranmyaku failed to dodge, he'd be slammed into and every bone in his body would be completely shattered, and he would basically be dead. However, even if he dodged, Yamato kept going, and eventually came to a complete stop, turning to face his three enemies. The views had shifted, with all three facing him from one side, and Yamato facing them from the other.

He held out his right hand, and red reiatsu charged there, pumping to create a...football. It was made of red reiatsu, and hummed and steamed accordingly. "You underestimate me by not going all out." Yamato said at last. "All of you should be at your highest level of release. I'll show you why now. The average professional football player can throw a football at 80 MPH. My strength is roughly 56 times theirs. I can throw the football at..." He held out his arm, preparing to throw. He spoke just before throwing. "4500 MPH." That...was fast...! 4500 MPH. Almost six times the speed of sound. He was throwing it at Mach 6.

There was...no way to dodge it! Yamato hurled the football into Rio, who had shot the Gran Rey Cero. There was no way to dodge. There was no way to even perceive it the moment it left his hand. It was a simple matter of it being in his hand one moment, and smashed against Rio in the next. In an instant, it lit up, a huge explosion equivalent to a Gran Rey Cero igniting. Except that Yamato's present reiatsu strength was much higher than Rio's. A Gran Rey Cero level power from him was far more devastating. Yamato proceeded to generate another one, hurling it at Rin. Then, a third, hurling it at Ranmyaku. No one could dodge, even with their greatest step technique. Unless they had a good plan, it was over just from the power of those giant explosions.

The first technique is replaced by increasing his strength. The second is replaced by taking off the negatives of his Berserker type. The last two techniques make him devastating.

He can generate a football made of red reiatsu. As you can see, it explodes with the same devastation as a Gran Rey Cero. The difference? It costs no reiatsu. Another difference? His throwing power gives the ball a speed of Mach 6. This is impossible to dodge. There's no possible way to dodge his attack.

The second technique, which you have yet to see, is even worse. It allows him to double his physical strength from its present state for a mere instant, just as he launches off of his foot. He basically jumps at you. However, this is a tackle. The moment he slams into you, you're finished. Your whole body will explode from the impact, blood and guts raining down everywhere.

Oh, and his armor is also extremely powerful. It shields him from even the most powerful of attacks. He can charge without being stopped by anything. He's like a juggernaut. The only things that can damage him are techniques of the highest possible caliber, and from high level releases. Most non release techniques will probably do nothing to him.

If there was one thing Rin absolutely hated, it would be barbarians. Literally. Stupid, foolish, idiotic, basic barbarians. They pissed the empress off tremendously and this situation didn't make things better for her at all. Then again...Rin got stark raving mad for really petty reasons in a fight. "TACKLE, SHUUKYUU!" Alright, that was her cue to release as well. If he was going all out, then it was probably safer that she did the same thing as well. That and she just really wanted to smash his face in due to anger issues. "Give us your deadly bestowal, Chimeiyoki!" She had released at the same time he did. Bankai....When was the last time she'd been able to use it? Well...That didn't matter at the moment. What mattered right now, was clawing and tearing up their opponent.

At this point, Yamato should be charging towards Ranmyaku and Rin would then change her weapon to a missile launcher like before. One with 3 missiles. She figured that...if she could consume something of his, it would give them a slight edge. Since he released, it was a given that his weapon or his powers would only get more dangerous. She watched him carefully as he held out his right hand and started to generate a football made of reiatsu. Her instincts spoke to her...as well as deductive reasoning. He was an arrancar and if that thing was made of Reiatsu, then he could make as many as he liked. They had it at their disposal. Also, you can only throw one football at a time, right? She knew that much. But this attack...It looked like it was going to be a nasty one.

Okay! As Yamato spoke, she took aim. It was courtesy to listen to him but when Rin was in this mode, she didn't care. She was too angry. In any case, there was no time to waste. Rin fired off the first missile directly in front her...which was really the only direction the football could come from. And just like before, these missiles detonated in mid-air. Just in case she wouldn't make it in time. But then she'd do something else. She fired off the next two missiles almost immediately after. When the first detonated, the explosion would trigger the other two to go off and create a bigger explosion. It was a domino effect kind of thing. Of course...When they exploded or hit her missiles, the football would be consumed. That was how Rin's bankai worked. If they couldn't dodge, then she could consume his attacks at least. Her weapons didn't deal damage, they consumed and all she really wanted to do was consume his reiatsu football.

This had to work right? He aimed at her second. Not only that, but she fired her missiles when she saw him generating them and seeing as he was a football kind of guy, it was only natural he was going to throw something deadly their way. He'd have to constantly generate new footballs, take the proper stance aim and throw. That took a few seconds at least, right? Wouldn't that leave her enough time to fire her own missiles so that they could detonate mid air and consume his own attack? Hopefully she'd survive?

[Ranmyaku Youmei]

Ranmyaku watched as his shikai scraped harmlessly over Yamato’s armor. It was an understatement to say the captain was surprised. It had been decades since he was too weak to cut someone with his blade. He thought those days were over when he became a captain. Apparently not. The reptile leapt backwards as the arrancar released his blade. “TACKLE, SHUUKYUU!” he yelled as his muscles expanded and the football he was using earlier as a weapon disappeared completely. The two shinigami and other arrancar would truly know they were in for a world of hurt as his mask formed a football helmet around his head. The Escudo’s transformation was complete.

Wasting no time, Ranmyaku gripped one of his five rings as the arrancar released. He didn’t know what kind of abilities Yamato possessed, so he chose to go for the one of his abilities that had the most variability. “3rd Ring... Seal of Isis... RELEASE!” stated the captain as he pinched the ring off of his blade. The seal shattered and disappeared leaving an empty spot on the shinigami’s shikai. Nothing else changed to the naked eye, but the captain’s reiatsu usage would be halved while the powers of Isis flowed through his veins. It was at this moment that the Escudo charged the captain at a more than impressive speed. There would be no sidestepping this.

The captain squared off with Yamato as he charged. He’d have to time this right. That’s when the lizard notice the arrancar behind Yamato firing a Gran Rey Cero directly at the one charging him. This was a good idea and all, but Rio forgot one thing. Ranmyaku would be hit by the resulting explosion! Needless to say, the captain wasn’t about to stick around for that. A shunpo brought him out of harm’s way between Asuka and Rio, but Yamato kept continuing on until he was able to look at all three of them at once. The captain understood immediately what the arrancar was trying to do. He was no longer surrounded. Perhaps Yamato was smarter than Ranmyaku first gave him credit for.

The arrancar began to speak, his voice teeming with arrogance as he bragged about his strength. But it wasn’t just for show. Ranmyaku believed him when he said he could throw the football 4,500 mph. That was faster than anything the shinigami would be able to dodge, much less see. The shinigami watched in horror as the projectile was launched at the arrancar. First it was in Yamato’s hands, the very next instant it had reached the arrancar. That speed was unreal. Ranmyaku’s eyes turned back to the Escudo who by now had formed another football made of red reiatsu. Where was this one going? Ranmyaku thought quickly. There was no time for an incantation. He needed to use it now!

The second projectile was launched at Rin who dealt with it in her own way. The third would definitely be heading towards him. “Bakudo 81. Danku...” he said as the final projectile was launched. Luckily, Ranmyaku had plenty of time to prepare after watching his two comrades get shot at first. After the dust cleared, Ranmyaku would be left standing unharmed. Looking over he noticed that Rin had unleashed her bankai. “I told her not to let our arrancar friend see the depth of her abilities...” thought the lizard as he looked over the lieutenant’s bankai, “You’re blowing it, Rin...”

[Rio Demonliogalgo]

Hah! It was a direct hit! The only thing Rio was disappointed in was that the shinigami had moved out of the way. Killing them as well as the Escudo would have been a nice bonus! But then, Rio noticed something. He detected the Escudo's reiatsu inside the smoke from his attack. "Kuh.... need a little more do you? You're a tenacious one." Rio stated as he started to charge a second Gran Rey Cero. "Alright then... if that's what you..... need...." Rio's eyes bulged in shock at what he saw.

No way. This guy was barely even scratched by his Gran Rey! A Gran Rey Cero was supposed to be the pinnacle of Ceros! Short of Apocalypse and maybe Treinta, there were no attacks in Rio's arsenal that rivalled the destructive power that a Gran Rey Cero could produce! ...And this guy just shrugged it off! This.... there's no way....[/color] Rio thought in shock. As the guy explained a bit of his abilities to them, the second Gran Rey Rio had prepared had finished charging.

"You.... You..... Y.... Just fucking roll over and die you bastard!" Rio roared in an astounded fury as he launched his own attack not half a second before Yamato would throw his football. The two attacks would meet in the air. Now, Rio's attack would have undoubtably be overpowered by Yamato's, due to his weaker reiatsu strength. However, it appeared the footballs detonated on contact, which meant it would explode as it hit the Cero, lessening the injury Rio was going to take.

Because Rio wasn't gonna get outta that one unharmed. The ensuing explosion sent the Espada flying, crashing against the ground, bouncing up only to send him crashing down again, tumbling and crashing across the ground all the way to the other way of the field. Rio's body was covered in serious burns as a result, but he was alive, if only because he had not been hit directly. Maybe if he was really lucky, Yamato might have been caught in the backlash of the explosion as well, but he wasn't gonna count on it. "Fucking.... bastard...." He hissed in fury. "You want to see my full power? Fine! I'll send you to hell with it!" He howled, drawing both Sai. "Attack Cerberus!" He roared, stabbing his Sai into his chest.

Rio's body erupted in a green reiatsu as he unleashed his Ressurection. His form vanished into his reiatsu, consumed by it. As the reiatsu soared higher, a new form took place within it. Its colossal form crashed down onto the earth, and the reiatsu vanished. Before the other three combatants, standing forty feet at the shoulder was a massive three headed dog, with a serpent for a tail-- Rio had just turned into the Underworld's guardian; Cerberus. In fury, Rio slammed his paw to the earth, creating a massive shockwave, roughly twenty feet high, to erupt from the ground, rapidly expanding towards Yamato at the speed of a bala. Conveniently though, Yamato was near the edge of its range, so Rin and Ranmyaku would actually be beyond its area of effect. Which was good for them, because at 1600 strength, while Yamato could likely tank the hit easily, that kind of power would obliterate Rin or Ranmyaku.

The first football, which headed towards Rin, yielded the same results as what the other three would inevitably yield. Of course, it slammed straight through her explosions. With superior reiatsu strength, with that speed, with the high level of the technique, there was no way that just anything would randomly stop it. It exploded only mere feet from her. Though a direct impact was avoided, this didn't help Rin at all. The explosion was clearly devastating, a huge flowering blast that splattered burns across her body, second degree, third degree, even one or two fourth degree. Worse yet, it obliterated her top, revealing that which she wore underneath the robe. No, it wasn't a bra. No, it wasn't Rin being turned topless. Even more embarrassing, it was a familiar old t-shirt, the one that had been given to her at a certain defeat. Yes, Rin's Hiro Kaname t-shirt was revealed!

Next of course came Ranmyaku. He'd been arrogant to not use Bankai, and the price of course would be paid for it. It didn't matter for hiding full strength at this point. It should be obvious that an enemy of this level was beyond Shikai. Ranmyaku had inferior reiatsu strength, and he was using Danku without any form of incantation or real preparation. This of course meant that an attack of this level wouldn't be significantly impacted. The football blew through Danku, completely shattering and destroying it. Gran Rey Cero qualified as one of the mightiest Arrancar techniques. This football had the same level of power, and yet it had even more because of that speed it moved at. Naturally, it blew through Danku. Weakened enough that it would not kill him, it still hit him harder than anyone else, slamming into him and exploding. He received huge burns that not even his scales protected him against, so severe was the damage. Easily at least 20% worse than Rin's.

Rio of course also got hit. It was the same idea as Rin's. His Gran Rey Cero was of far inferior reiatsu strength to Yamato's now, and this attack also had all of that speed backing it up. It smashed into Rio's Gran Rey Cero, blowing it up, but moving through the huge blast, continuing forwards. Of course, like Rin, it exploded just as it reached Rio, not yet hitting him as it exploded. This covered him in burning wounds that were of the same severity as Rin's, and this was of course just before he managed to release, seeing as that was how fast the attack had been moving at to begin with. Yamato was very strong, that was a fact. Though footballs were a force to be reckoned with, for certain. And, he probably had more coming for them than that.

Yamato flicked his wrist, generating another football in the right hand, and then proceeding to hurl that at Ranmyaku. Ranmyaku had taken the most damage. It was only natural of course that he should be struck out at first. He'd die this time if he got hit, no doubt about it. Then again, something similar could be said of Rin and Rio, who weren't in the greatest shape. From just one hit, it could end. This time, Yamato started charging at Rin, probably aiming to tackle her. The shockwave that Rio released simply smashed into Yamato, and did nothing at all. He powered through it, and kept going. That was the extent of his physical strength. It was far beyond anything that Rio could do. Yamato was in fact an opponent based purely on the ability to upgrade strength. He didn't have anything but that kind of power at his disposal.

"Yokubari no saishū zōyo"

Cue steroids. That FOOL of a captain! UGH. Why didn't he release!? She wasn't using her shikai so she couldn't heal him. Not like she'd get the time ANYWAY. This neanderthal moved at a speed that was above hers. These burns were pretty bad. She'd at least been able to avoid a direct hit. That was good. Though....This fool managed to blast the top of her robe off revealing her Hiro Kaname t-shirt. The empress was going to take anger to an entirely different level. Burns? Whatever. She was going to do horrible, deadly, inhumane things to Yamato if she got the chance. She hated this man. Hated. Hated. Hated. Hated. Hated. Hated. HATED him. If possible, she'd breathe fire right now. Angry to the point where she'd start breathing fire and blow everything up. There was NOTHING that could calm her down. At this point in time, Rin could feel herself getting stronger; more energized.

"Attack Cerberus!"

Now, in a normal situation, Rin would have squee'd. But she didn't. While Rin was not a cat person, she was a dog person. The empress adored dogs. They were loyal and admirable creatures as opposed to an animal that spends 3/4's of their day licking themselves. That wasn't even hygienic! Disgusting.. Alas. She couldn't. No time. This fight was too important and far too much was at stake. She started her technique after she'd gotten hit. Now, she just might have to speed to keep up a bit better than before. Rin had pretty good instinct. She knew Yamato would come for her after going after Ranmyaku. It was obvious. Ranmyaku would have the most damage making him a prime target. Rin was the weakest here, but had less wounds. This put her second in line. Ah, deductive reasoning, you never seem to let us down.

Rin would transform her weapon into a rocket launcher that shot one large rocket. She'd fire that at him. The thing that was special about this rocket was that the outer shell would drop off and reveal six smaller guided rockets. All of which were heading towards Yamato. At this point, just about done throwing his football at Ranmyaku. It would be then that Rin quickly moved up diagonally with a shunpo. Away from Yamato's attack path. Seeing as shunpo magnified one's speed by 10x and her speed was already boosted from her previous technique, she would be moving at 3100 speed. She should be behind him now. It definitely wasn't intended to take him out.

Now...Second order of business! Rin was going to copy her favorite vice captain. She'd seen this man with this sort of weapon...she's going to imitate it! She transformed her weapon into a long reiatsu whip. Hiro had done this. It obviously wasn't as strong as his, but it was something! Now, he might not pick up on an attack from behind. Everyone has this belief that it's such a predictable move...so the move somewhere else like the side. Not this time! With 0 energy sensory, she should be able to do something. Rin lashed the whip at Yamato's arm, aiming to hopefully cut off and consume his arm. That was what Rin's bankai did anyway. It didn't damage. It consumes. Something, she wanted to do something. ANYTHING.

Ranmyaku didn’t even see the football as it travelled smack into his bakudo 81. He only witnessed the resulting explosion which tore through his kidou and burned him to the point of practically uselessness. It was clear that the captain’s physical capabilities would be rather limited now that his scales were burnt to a crisp and were flaking off of him revealing burned, tender spots beneath them. Luckily though, burns weren’t the most lethal of injury. He wasn’t bleeding. The captain was simply in an extraordinary amount of pain. But danku was a spell with a capability of stopping hadou up to #89. Even without the incantation it had saved the shinigami’s life.

Ranmyaku gritted his teeth in frustration as the smoke cleared. However it was clear to him what kind of level his opponent was on now. “Attack Cerberus!” roared Rio as he released his resurreccion. Before all of their eyes he transformed into a massive three-headed hound with a serpent for a tail. “So we’re all going all out, are we?” he thought as his burned hand moved to the fifth ring on his shikai, “Fifth ring... Seal of Apep... BANKAI!!!” The shinigami’s release command boomed through the area as his shikai disintegrated into dust. Yamato had, by this time, prepared another football and was just about to preform the throwing motion when a gigantic worm erupted up out of the ground between the captain and the arrancar. Its mouth was wide open and as Yamato threw the bala-like attack Ranmyaku’s bankai swallowed it whole. This worm stayed in between the captain and Yamato with its mouth rather close to ground level.

INTERCEPTION!

The captain’s bankai remained unharmed and Ranmyaku couldn’t help but smile and allow four other huge worms to burst out of the ground. Their roar filled the entire battlefield as drool fell from their wide mouths as each one towered around fifty yards apart from each other. The shinigami had decided to go all out against this opponent and Yamato was sure to regret it because unfortunately for him, Ranmyaku didn’t need to be physically well to use his bankai effectively. Focusing his attention on the arrancar, Yamato charged through his shockwave and straight at him. Surely Rio would be in trouble if it came down to a match of power. At this moment Rin fired six rockets at the arrancar as he charged at Rio. The captain took this opportunity to send two of his worms back underground and caused them to travel underground at high speed into position.

The first worm popped up behind Yamato and would swallow any of the rockets that the arrancar happened to dodge. That way, Yamato would be forced to deal with them now or face them again later. The second worm popped out of the ground right in between Yamato and Rin. Its immense form charged directly at the arrancar with its mouth wide open. It didn’t matter how strong the arrancar was. There would be nothing for him to use his strength on because of how wide the bankai’s mouth was. The worm wasn’t aiming to best him in strength, but rather to swallow him whole. Ranmyaku watched and would adjust the worm accordingly if Yamato tried to sidestep or jump over the worm. All that Yamato would meet if he kept charging forwards was the empty space of a gigantic mouth, and as everyone knows, you can’t tackle an empty space. It was clear that Ranmyaku’s bankai was extremely good at providing support to multiple allies at once.

[Rio Demonliogalgo]

Hmph. Seemed like Yamato was ignoring his release, instead focusing on the shinigami nearest him. Whatever. Rio could deal with that. Very well, in fact. It meant that he'd be paying less attention to him, and that would give him openings. Rio pounced off to one side as Yamato attacked Ranmyaku. He needed a moment to do this. His three mouths opened, beginning to charge a Cero in each of his jaws. Vibrant green in color, they were partially disguised in his jaws. Excellent.

As both Ranmyaku and Rin attacks Yamato, Rio decided to add in one of his own attacks. He launched his Treinta attack right at the guy, his three Cero combining into one and lancing forwards at him. Three Cero alone might not have been able to scratch Yamato. But three Cero combined created an attack far more powerful than the sum of its parts, and was also much, much larger than a normal Cero. And given that a released Rio's attacks were already pretty big, this attack would be very hard to dodge.

The Treinta would land just after the other two attempted attacks would have. This meant even if Yamato managed to somehow avoid Rin and Ranmyaku's attacks, he wouldn't be in the clear, and still be in danger of being hit by this one. Rio's serpent head watched with baleful eyes. his Gran Rey had failed. Would this one too? There was no way to tell, but to see firsthand. Rio was starting to run low on reiatsu. His high cost-high return moves were powerful, but in his current drained state that high cost was going to be a problem.

Yamato didn't even bother to stop charging in the face of the missiles and the triple Cero. In fact, he charged head on into the missiles, causing them to all detonate all around him. Just as that happened, the Cero impacted him too. The explosion was massive, a huge blast of smoke and reiatsu filling the area, completely obscuring Yamato and even Ranmyaku's worm from sight. Neither one would be able to see, and neither one would be visible to the others. At least, until the smoke cleared, those were the conditions. However, earlier one of the worms had attempted to eat one of Yamato's own football attacks. This was a mistake that it would regret. Speed was an important factor.

In a certain college in the USA, they'd accelerated a bullet to Mach 9 in speed. It had gone through a foot thick steel barrier. However, the bullet itself had never even touched the metal, and rather a gigantic hole had been left behind. The damage had been from a power generated purely from that massive speed. This projectile was certainly far bigger than any bullet, and filled with much more power. The energy behind it was enough for the force of a Mach 6 projectile to reach out greatly. Even when the football went in, the insides of the mouth vibrated and exploded into gushing blood, for the force of the thing reached out all around it. It had probably done something similar with all of the defenses everyone had laid out earlier as well. The thing was too strong to be absorbed.

Meanwhile, the smoke and reiatsu cleared, steam revealing everything. The worm was hurled backwards as Yamato came to a stop, and punched towards it. A huge blast of air erupted outwards from his immense physical strength, enough to hurl the worm back far from Yamato himself. He then turned to Rio, running towards him again. He was aiming to tackle. If everyone looked, they'd notice something about Yamato. Only light burns were visible across him. His armor was virtually unharmed. That settled it. He had a near perfect defense. This meant that there were only two possibilities. One, everyone used their final attack of release against him in a hope that it would work. Two, they tried to wait him out, and survive until his ressurection ended on its own. Both of these were huge gambles. What would they attempt?

Nothing...affected him...Nothing at all! What the...ughhh... No cursing! For, the empress did no such thing! She was above such a thing. You really couldn't find Rin cursing. It was rare. Extremely rare. To see her cursing was like watching a dog walk on its hind legs. "Dog...." Dog...DOG! DOG! DOG! She loved dogs! Why couldn't she pet Rio right now? She totally just wanted to drop what she was doing and pet the guy. Well, it sounds weird because the man is an Espada. Ah, whatever~ Dog is dog and dog was Rin's favorite animal~ Seriously, the empress with smitten with them. Alas, the raveonette had bigger problems to worry about. It was simply no time to dilly dally!

Yamato's defense was impressive. Incredibly impressive. He was like Aega in the sense that he was an unstoppable force when he was covered in his armor. The only difference here was that he didn't need to re-armor like the human. He seemed unstoppable. Keyword: Seemed. Everyone had to stop at some point. For now, maybe she should do something. Maybe she should focus on one point of the armor and attempt to weaken it..? He still had light burns on him from the previous attacks...maybe there was hope? At this point in time, Yamato was turning toward Rio, ready to attack. Rin would decide to switch things up. She'd transform her current weapon into a grenade launcher with 6 rounds. Sticking around and firing too much at once could get her in trouble. Rin aimed and fired one round at Yamato's side.

He'd come for her now. Sticking around wasn't an option. He was fast after all. With that being said, Rin would then shunpo in a different direction off to the side. She wanted to be as far away from Yamato as possible. Caveman was dangerous.
