Five AM.
He could hear that voice again. The one in his head that had been driving him crazy, the one that had started when his headaches had and no amount of drugs had fixed. Hell, they hadn't even gotten better. Nor could he go to the shinigami about this. Nobody from the company had even gotten back to him... But why? The company ignoring his many emails and calls made no sense. The most he'd gotten was someone telling him that he would get a call once "Mister Kazura" returned. That had only gotten an annoyed groan.
Then thee was Luca... His eyes had stayed glued on the only other human that he knew of that had experienced this same phenomenon he was going through and the man was nowhere to be found! He grumbled a bit, pushing himself out of bed and going to the shower. Raphael knew that he'd be checking his phone in another two hours. It had become something of a routine.
Wake up to a voice or nightmare. Check his phone. Get disappointed. Take a shower. Go hunt hollows.
After all, he was still on sick leave from Uzaki Enterprises and he really had nothing else to do in Japan. Sometimes, he didn't know why he'd bothered coming. But it was still a spiritual hotbed, so he didn't feel like he could just up and abandon everything, now. Thus, why he found himself out at five in the morning, in a car, headed back towards Karakura Town from his apartment in Tokyo. What was he going to do if he found a holllow this time, though? There was no one to stop him.
Feed. FEED.
He was getting pretty hungry... If there was one, then maybe he'd just take a bit of a bite tonight... Maybe...
The car pulled up in front of Uzaki Enterprises and he got out, looking around, then pulled out his phone and glanced at it, nothing big seemed to be going on. There was a text message from Leo, but he could read that later. There was an email...from Randall, of all people. Something about research from his mom? He sent a reply email back, quickly. He'd have to look for any research documents or notes. He had no idea what his cousin was talking about.
That was when he felt it: a hollow. It wasn't very strong... but there were so many of them lately, that patrolling and catching them all, even with the shinigami, was becoming more and more difficult. He was going to need to step up his game, but getting sleep, in the interim, was getting harder and harder... He'd have to go after this one, and then, whenever some shinigami showed up... then they could handle it. The problem was that there were other hollow signatures popping up in the area... he'd have to handle this first one, fast.
