Saigo no Houmen Stage 1 Appearance:
Zeich’s first appearance is the raw combination of three spirits melded into one, and as a result, takes on an appearance that reflects aspects of each. Ash forms in layers over his arms and legs, lengthening them and ending each in powerful, clawed fingers and extended feet that could easily be mistaken for paws. It coats him in a mantle of gray that hangs down his neck and back in a cloak of ash, and covers his face in a layer of the same, hiding everything but his golden eyes as they stare out from behind the veil with a sharp intensity that no longer is veiled by blindness. Pointed ears emerge from a mane of ash-streaked hair that now pools around his shoulders and over the cloak across his back, and the ash even forms a long, thick tail that rests on the ground behind him.
Saigo no Houmen Stage 2 Appearance:
When activating his second stage, Zeich scatters the ash that comprises his altered being in all directions, initializing the first part of At World’s End. As the ash settles, the Vizard’s physical appearance alters to reflect a concept of the three spirits that exist in harmony with one another. Though he resumes his human form, Zeich’s hair is now streaked with lines of gray and crimson, and his eyes are now dichromatic, with one iris gold and the other a brilliant blue, both set on a background of black sclera. A black robe reminiscent of a Shinigami’s shihakusho settles over his shoulders like a cloak, the front left open and held together only at the chest by a golden cord. On each shoulder of the robe, a lupine head forms and settles into place like a shoulder guard. One bears a resemblance to Tsukikage, the Hollow’s muzzle curled back in a snarl and his golden eyes wide with rage, while the other takes on Haiiro’s appearance, his blue eyes seeming to sparkle with amusement. Finally, Zeich’s Vizard mask forms over his face, giving him his own wolf’s facade.
Saigo no Houmen Stage 2 Ability:
Much like releasing his Bankai, Zeich unleashes this ability by transforming his weapon into what appears to be fine gray ash, and then scattering it in all directions. This covers an enormous area, sweeping over it and transfiguring it entirely. Where his Bankai would convert all the world around him into ash for his use, this ability reverses that and brings color and vibrant life to everything around him. Every being within its radius is transported into a separate reality, one transposed over top the existing world. A tall plateau rises in the distance under a clear blue sky, staring out over the forest that spreads out at its base in all directions from it with the exception of one large quadrant where the trees seem to have burned away, leaving a blackened scar upon the land. For those who may not have realized it by now, Zeich projects his Inner World upon everything within the range of his power with the first part of his Saigo no Houmen’s ability.
However, this paradise is not to last, and Zeich reforms his weapon a moment later, and makes to sheath it. As he does, it is like a shadow passing over the sun, plunging the world into darkness in a sweeping motion in front of him. That darkness washes over everything in a wave, causing the Inner World that Zeich has projected to disappear. This time, it is replaced with another.
Within this world, any victims can sense motion around them, sense eyes on them, and get a sense of large, towering objects around them. As their eyes adjust to the lightless world, they find themselves in a gray city, filled with people that seem to be living their everyday lives. Nothing will respond to them, or react, and the world is silent. This is Tsukikage’s world, and it is a revelation of the fate that awaits those who fall victim to this ability. Even as those present watch, everything begins to dissolve. People break apart and scatter, buildings collapse, and the streets themselves dissolve into dust and dissipate into the darkness. So, too, does the victims of this ability; they are broken up and dissolved, consumed by the Inner World of a Hollow, becoming a part of it even as it breaks down along with Zeich’s spiritual powers. They are forever lost in a world of darkness whose very existence shatters with them in it.
