“Where do you think you’re running off too huh?”

Hikari shouts towards the Hollow rushing throughout the park of Karakura, its back bleeding heavily from a wound she’d managed to inflict only a couple moments ago by slamming the blade of her Fullbring into its flesh. Although her raw power hadn’t developed much in the last few weeks Hikari was confident in her skill wielding her Fullbring along with the experience and knowledge she’d been gaining hunting down these strays. Although they didn’t have much going for them when compared to the Gillain or Demons they were still usually enough that a standard workout couldn’t compare. The actions she needed in order to reach what she sought was on the front lines.

It was strange though normally Hollows didn’t back down and only one other time had one actually run away from her. Hikari actually found value in the unbridled confidence that so many of them had yet this one was just irritating. A smaller Hollow with a sphere-like body with multiple wings branching off of its form. A pain to actually damage as even her Fullbring didn’t have a sharp enough edge to actually cut clean through. The wings though could be removed in a single swing yet they grew back almost as fast. This was like dealing with a medicine ball that wanted to avoid her.

Just how long was this going to take though? It was the middle of the night and while she was in Karakura at the moment, thankfully she was on the rooftops jumping from one close roof to another. This Hollow could more than likely get away at any moment if it stopped panicking. That meant she had to eliminate it now. Rushing it with every bit of strength she could muster in her legs Hikari wastes no time bringing her Fullbring down on the same spot she’d just attacked. Having experienced it herself she knew that attacking the same spot while obvious was none the less more painful and dangerous and thus would be the easiest way to eliminate this Hollow.

She can feel the impact through her weapon and yet then felt as if she were being pulled. In the next moment she found herself kneeling on the ground of a street, but it was earlier in the night along with everything around her having a different look to it. Everything had a different design yet served the same purpose. Where was she and where did that Hollow fly off too. That's what she would have to figure out first. Based on what she was seeing she was still in the human world, just somewhere else in it, but that meant this Hollow could still attack others so finding it took priority.

[Colt]

A car which had been driving down the road suddenly found a young woman in the road. And it was in that moment that Colt had been speaking to his owner, the both of them enjoying the quiet noise of the engine as they made their way down the street. It was...PREVIOUSLY a very nice night. The both of them enjoying the empty roads and of course the conversation that came with it.

"Look, I know you're trying to help. But this is ... A LOT okay?" The young man huffed, his eyes had bags under them as he glanced briefly at the gun at his hip. Out of the way of being seen by any potential cops. "And trust me bucko, I appreciate it. And I'm very glad you were kind enough not to put me in the glovebox again." Colt was using a little charm, trying to keep this latest wielder of his calm and collected. A little sigh escaped him.

"Yea whatever. But look. If we're going to be working together. There's going to need to be some ground rules. Okay? Number one, if you keep asking me to put you on the floor so you can look up skirts, you're ALSO gonna have to stop saying nasty shit when you're down there." He narrowed his eyes, peering at the road as Colt gave a nervous little chuckle. "Okay okay, I get it. I was a little out of line. You coulda TOLD me that was your sister. But yes, I'll try and behave."

A roll of the man's eyes. One that proved dire. Because in that split second, a woman suddenly seemed to appear on the road. "FUCK!" The man suddenly shouted as he WRENCHED the wheel off to the side! Eyes wide and yelling as he swerved the car wildly! BArely missing Scarlet's frame and slamming into the nearby fence, ripping it from the ground before CRACK! The car's front bumper crunched against a nearby lightpole. The light flickering out as the car came to an abrupt stop.

"Holy SHIT! Eddy! you okay bud? I can feel you breathing my guy. Cmon, you need to get up, and lets get you outta this car. Okay?" Colt calleed out. The Driver 'Eddy' groaning a little as he peeled himself out of the seat, kicking the door open and then collapsing to the ground beside the now-busted car. Eyes a bit out of focus as he slowly looked around, Wait... the girl. "Hello?! Are you alright miss?" The young man called out, trying to stand to his feet so he could check.

As if finding the Hollow before it could find anyone else to feast on wasn’t a big enough problem. Hikari only had that first moment to reevaluate everything that was around her and come up with a course of action before something else got thrown in her face. A blinding light from the front lights of a car coming right towards her, for a moment she was the perfect example of the classic saying. Her mind entranced by the light left her wide open to being hit. Despite all her training it only took that one moment fueled by surprise to catch and contain her, yet the actions of the driver kept her safe even by placing himself in harms way. Rushing up alongside the car Hikari wasted no time though as she saw the driver get out and drop to the ground.

By the time Hikari managed to get to the car the man was already on the ground trying to get back up to his feet. Calling out to see if she’s alright Hikari would stop about two feet from the left side of the driver. What she could tell right away though was that she wasn’t in Asia. This man was speaking English, thankfully a language that she could understand and speak enough of to actually keep a conversation. “I’m fine, fine. Please be careful to sit down, breathe, breathe.” Hikari hated that she’d caused this guy to get hurt without even thinking about the damage that his car just suffered. The individual was the issue right now and Hikari could feel the weight of the guilt already in her chest. She was doing everything she could to keep people from getting hurt and yet this still happened.

She had to leave already that much she knew and yet how could she do that to this guy? Finding that Hollow was essential otherwise it was going to find someone else and attack them, but this man was already hurt because of her. Sandwiched between two bad situations Hikari wasn’t really sure what she could do to get away from this scene without disrespecting him. So absorbed in the moment she didn’t even bother to revert her Fullbring’s form, still holding the battle axe in her right hand even if it was down at her side now. Her inability to sense reiatsu gave her no indication to the entity still in the car along with her limited knowledge, even if she could sense it, well she wouldn’t know anything about the Mod Soul. “Are you hurt anywhere?”

In his alarm, the young man promptly turned on the source of the voice and briefly found themselves pointing Colt directly at the center of the woman's chest, only to tisk and raise the barrel up toward the sky, annoyance flashing across his face. "Holy fucking shit, you scared me lady! I'm...guh...I'm fine." He hissed out, slumping into a sitting position and bracing his back against a lamppost, looking around at the wreck that had been his car. Fuck, well so much for getting the hell out of town. But still, something seemed amiss.

Colt, in the meantime, scrutinized the woman. Remaining entirely silent for the time being. His spiritual pressure entirely surpressed as he simply allowed the pair to speak to one another. "What about you? I didn't slip you did I? How did you even end up on the road?" Ed asked, just a hint of frustration in his voice as after all, she WAS the cause of the crash. A cursory look around added in as he kept a look out. Making sure that the crash hadn't caused any dangerous structural changes or anything. the last thing he needed was something to fall on him after the crash.

Damn could this situation get much worse? Not only was the Hollow nowhere in sight but now she’d caused trouble for someone that had nothing to do with her. The wreckage of his car was something that Hikari wished she could rectify, but she didn’t have a clue how she could go about that. She didn’t have the skill nor the talent to fix something like this and while she’d thought about how to use the soul of the car something like that seemed above what she could accomplish right now. Making sure he was alright was the most important thing, but while speaking was certainly something he could accomplish it didn’t seem like moving would be all that proper for the moment.

“My apologies, I didn't mean to scare you. I’m fine but I really must be going.”

Not something that she’d normally do as handling issues was part of responsibility, something that her father taught her to always uphold. The bigger issue though was the Hollow on the loose, the dangerous creature that could at this very moment be devouring someone in the nearby area. This meant that she couldn’t stay and handle this situation even though it was the right thing to do. Two conflicting right things at the same time was something hard to navigate, but Hikari was confident that saving someone else was more important. Bowing her head slightly she’d start running down the road despite anything that Ed may say, but she wouldn’t get far.

Running down perhaps fifty feet would be all Hikari could manage still within view of Colt and Ed when she’d feel a sharp impact on her right arm. One moment running the next Hikari found herself on the ground once again as if she were a character in a comedy sketch, but the pain coursing through her arm said differently. Looking over she could see two feathers the length of her hand stabbed into the side of her bicep. Blood leaking out from the wounds Hikari didn’t have to hesitate nor guess what just caused this. Looking up at the side of the road the Hollow happened to be right there flapping its wings to keep it flying up almost thirty feet off the ground. Its single large golden eye staring down at her.

[Colt]

What? Colt AND his wielder were startled with the response given by the woman. "W-wait you're just leaving? Hold up, where did you even come from?!" The man insisted, as Colt furrowed his brows and then tensed when he sensed something. But he didn't have the opportunity to call out before the fling of those feathers rained down and promptly pinned the woman to the ground. "Eddy up top!" Colt called out urgently. And in a sheer moment of instinct, Eddy ducked behind the car and popped up, Colt raised high and aiming up.

POP POP!

Two shots rang out as Colt fired up at the hollow up above. Bullets that were slightly infused with a bit of Colt's reiryoku. It wasn't a proper technique or anything, but still. Flying at bullet speed meant hopefully the thing would be knocked out of the sky or have holes punched into it! POP POP POP POP! More rounds were fired from the handgun. Not as careful and accurate as before, but rapid, intending to get the big thing's attention as Colt hissed out.

"I'm almost enmpty! Three more shots. Get to the alley first! IT's gonna be coming! HEY LADY! If you can hear me we're gonna distract it!" Colt called out, as Eddy, too amped up to do anything but obey. Promptly bolted from the car into the alleyway as that Hollow no doubt would come after them. "Get the magazine Ready. Once it follows us, hit those last three shots, I'll pop the empty clip, then you put the new one in,."

It wasn't their first rodeo. And if nothing else, even if Eddy wasn't really a bandito, he at least could follow colt's instructions. It'd gotten him through a couple gunfights to say the least. After all. Colt could unjam himself. Keep count of ammo. and provide support and awareness of Eddy's surroundings. Maybe Eddy wasn't some super cool, spiritually aware whatever, but he COULD still fight damn well with Colt working with him. As close as one could get to a supersoldier without some scifi nonsense if he did say so himself!

Damn her guard had been dropped after the horrible happenstance involving a single seemingly normal guy. Hikari felt despicable already for even thinking of leaving the scene after he’d crashed his car just to avoid her. He’d done something that she would deem good and now she was doing the opposite as repayment. Right then though was when her thoughts of self loathing ended, feathers again with the feathers from this damn Hollow. It was continuing to prove itself one of the most dangerous and frustrating entities she’d dealt with so far. Although her right bicep suffered the wounds it had now she wasn’t going to release the grip she had on her Fullbring. This axe was the only thing giving her a chance.

Up to this point she’d been deflecting and blocking the feathers this Hollow flapped her way with her axe, now though she was pretty confident that wouldn’t be possible. Two stab wounds like this might as well have been done with knives. Hikari didn’t even have time to do anything but look over and confirm the location of the strange flying eyeball Hollow. That’s when she heard the sound of the gun shots. A few that managed to find their mark, but only hit the wings on the left side of the Hollow. Just like that the Hollow took off at Colt and Eddy, a dark purple orb of reiatsu appearing in front as it flew and then a moment later a large wave of reiatsu known as cero.

The dark purple cero took long enough that Colt and Eddy managed to get out of the way, but sadly his mode of transportation was even more unexplainable now. The next few moments would be Hikari getting up onto her feet and commanding the soul of the ground beneath her feet to help her get higher up as she jumps. Getting to the top of a building in a single jump only to cross the length of the roof as fast as she could. Holding on with her left hand now her Fullbring leaning on her left shoulder. Her plan, to drop down from the roof and chop this Hollow in half by surprise in the alleyway. Hopefully Eddy would be able to distract it and survive long enough.

[Colt]

"SHIT!" Eddy yelled out! Eyes widening when he spotted that sudden crackling of spiritual energy! But he just as he was about to dodge, Colt barked out an order. And in that instant, the man dropped to a crouch before that beam SWEPT forward! Crashing into the pair before a sudden backwash of energy burst to either side. Blocked by a slab of spiritual energy collected from the air. A panel projected from Colt's body, blocking the Cero and splitting it to either side.

Click. Slide. POP POP POP! Those rounds aimed for the creature's opened mouth. The car behind them spared that blast thanks to the shield that had been erected. Now trying to egg the Hollow down toward the ground with that concentrated fire! Naturally of course, Colt noticed the woman launching themselves up toward the building. So they wouldn't be able to run, otherwise they would likely draw the thing too far away from where she was climbing. And so he instructed Eddy to stay put.

"Are you fucking crazy?! Did you see that thing?! And what was that?! Since when could you do that stuff?!" He hissed, only to tense up as Cold promptly snapped back. "Worry about that later1 Stay tight and keep shooting! We gotta keep that thing busy." Colt instructed, And so, even with his body shaking, Eddy stood his ground. That gun raised and firing over that panel of condensed spiritual energy with it being used as cover, intent on keeping up that withering fire to distract and draw the thing's attention so that Scar could do whatever it was she was doing.

Jumping up to the top of the roof Hikari took a moment when she heard the sound of the cero detonating in two different spots. The man was doing better against the Hollow then she could have expected. Although she didn’t really expect to randomly come across someone like her to begin with, the fact he could see the Hollow let alone fight against it with something modern and normal like a gun. That was enough that Hikari wasn’t really going to doubt anything about him now.

As for the Hollow well its wings continued to flap as it flew closer, but the bullets fired from the pistol didn’t amount to much. Constantly pulling them across itself, using the four white wings with their sharp feathers as a shield. By the time Hikari looked down she could see the wings unfolding, sending out multiple feathers which would pierce into a wall or sheet or something like either barrier made of reiatsu. Hikari didn’t know any way to accomplish something like that, but this guy must as she was witnessing it.

The fact the wall could withstand so many feathers without breaking was surprising, but it gave her the time she’d need. Time to command the soul of the air around her, to shove her up as she jumps from the roof. It’d only take another second or two, but Hikari would manage to bring her Fullbring down on the Hollow. The heavy obsidian battle axe clashed against the white wings of the Hollow. The sharp edge manages to slice through the dense feathers and into the actual body. It wouldn’t be enough though as the Hollow flaps once again, but instead of feathers knocks Hikari backwards with a gust of wind.

Rolling across the pavement Hikari hears the sound of her Fullbring clinking against the ground. A few rolls and then she was on her stomach with a thin trail of blood running from her skull down her face. This Hollow was frustrating, more so than most she’d come across and yet it just kept getting more so. Looking up ready to accept another onslaught of feathers and yet it wasn’t there. Eddy would have full view though, the Hollow had moved backwards and vanished from sight as if it’d just disappeared. Turning her head from side to side Hikari looks with panic.

“Where’d it fly too?”

[Colt]

The flurry of Feathers pinging off the Panel caused Colt to hiss slightly, feeling that barrier straining slightly as the strikes threatened to break through the barrier itself. Another layer crackling into place behind the first. It was only when the woman launched herself down and managed to unleash that strike on the hollow proper. That weapon cleaving firmly into the feathers. It was in that very moment that Colt barked out. "Get in!" To Eddy. The man snapped to action and charged! Panting anxiously as they closed in.

As soon as they moved in, that panel continued to move with the, seemingly attached to the pistol. Once they got close, the panel itself dissolved, and that energy reformed into long strands. Strings that slivered through the air. Swishing in response to that sudden gust, before wrapping around the hollow. As the beast lunged back and away, those threads strained. Pulled taut in that singular instant before they sliced into it's flesh, the sound of thin wire growing tense before finally, the hollow's strength won out, snapping the threads.

"Stay close! It's using garganta. YOU! Lady! Cmere!" Colt called out as Eddy tensed up, seeming a bit unsure about allowing the woman close. But he hardly was going to argue. Those thin threads slithering outward and promptly saturating the air around them. Thin lines shimmering around them, forming a defensive dome around them. So that if the hollow emerged close by, they would be snared and cut into. And of course, if it popped up further away for a ranged attack, Colt could simply erect a shield.

"Don't suppose you got any way to lock it down? Oh also, Colt, This is Eddy, nice to meet ya Firecracker." Eddy rolled his eyes a bit and gave a sheepish smile and a wave to the woman. "He's...always like this." he murmured quietly, swallowing audibly as he brought his attention back to their surroundings, waiting for the hollow to show it's face. He was panting, of course. If there was any illussion that Eddy was anything but some normal guy, then Scarlet would be in for a surprise. He was just a normal human, with an extra ordinary gun.

Looking as she was Hikari wouldn't be able to spot the strange flying eyeball that was this Hollow. No once again it had vanished from her sight and perhaps for the first time since awakening as someone with spiritual abilities, she had to hope it hadn't just run off for good. She had to lock it down and chop it down the center in two, that was the only thing she would accept now as death. That Hollow was far too dangerous to the average person with the body that it possessed, and it was frustrating or just impossible for her to kill since it constantly flew up above her. She'd managed to hurt it again which wasn't bad, but now she had to curse herself internally for not ending it right there and then with her swing.

Getting back up onto her feet she felt the world shift and knew that she more than likely had a concussion now. She'd hit the ground hard enough that her muscles were protesting her mind begging her to stop and just sit down. Nothing seemed to be broken as she opened and closed her hands and wiggled her toes, but that didn't mean her muscles were fine. She didn't have any further time to check out though as she heard another voice shouting at her. Reaching down after a moment Hikari picked her Fullbring back up and began to rush over doing her best not to fall on the ground once again although it'd be clear to the Eddy and Colt that she was worse off than when the Hollow had managed to get its feathers in her right arm.

"Don't suppose you got any way to lock it down? Oh also, Colt, This is Eddy, nice to meet ya Firecracker."

"He's...always like this."

Hikari stared down at the plushie her face in a state of disbelief and confusion as she looked between Colt and Eddy for a few moments. "Are you messing with me? Ventriloquism? Damn maybe I fell on my head harder than expected." Hikari would turn her head obviously having trouble actually focusing as her brain struggled with the damage that her body suffered from the fall. Shaking her head slightly after a moment that no doubt would be filled with some kind of response from Cold and Eddy. "Doesn't matter, no sadly, I don't have any way to lock it down otherwise I wouldn't have followed it through to . . . where am I?"

[Colt]

Eddy snorted softly at that and let out a little bark of laughter. "Really wish I was, but no, I'm not messing with you." He sighed. "Wow, rude. But yea don't think about it too hard. And YES! I actually do have something.... in mind. Once this thing pops up again. I'm gonna trap it, gonna put a little more oomf into these strings of mine. Once I get it bogged down,All you'll have to do is swing that weapon of yours till it stops moving." He pointed out.

Not exactly the most complicated of plans, but hey, it'd reasonably have very little reason not to work, right? Besides, well, it was a hollow. As strange and dangerous as its powers were, some good ol...bread and butter abilities were always good. Speaking of... "So uh miss. Not to question ya or anything, but I'm a little curious. Dont you have any kinda....weapons or anything on ya that can hit at range? Or you know, got any abilities to move around? A little surprised for a gal of your energy levels to be stuck on the ground." He ventured.

She had to have a concussion right? There was no way that gun had just spoken. Eddy had to be talented at using his voice to trick people; that was the only explanation. That’s what Hikari was telling herself, but the more and more she heard Colt’s voice the more real it became. Sure both Eddy and Colt clarified that he wasn’t messing with her, but feeling and seeing it for herself was different than just trusting what someone else was telling her. Listening to the plan that a gun was forming in order to take down this Hollow. . . what was going on? This situation seemed like something out of a c rank cartoon and yet it was happening to her.

Hikari wouldn't have taken an answer beyond shoot if someone asked her what sort of plan a gun would have in any situation. Now she was listening to one talk about trapping this Hollow the moment it reappeared. Hikari still felt like the connection with her body and mind was shaky knowing full well that if she pushed herself physically right now she would end up on the ground. “All I’ve got is my Fullbring form. I normally carry a firearms axe that I can throw, but even if I had that with me I’m not sure it’d be sharp enough to get through this Hollow’s feathers.”

It didn’t take long for the wounded Hollow to reappear once again using its wings to keep itself up off the ground even if one of them were bleeding you’re bad now. Its stability in the air wasn’t absolute now and its body wasn’t the sort that could take much punishment. The small group would have to take action against it soon. The Hollow didn’t have any problem locating them and then sending down half a dozen of its sharp feathers at Eddy and Hikari.

“Move!”

[Colt]

Eddy seemed to feel bad for the girl's clear struggle to comprehend the situation. Colt however wasn't too focused on it. "Oh you're a fullbringer. Can't you use bringer light to move up to it? Tch, not even air ground or nothing? Hmmm. Well we can work with that. Shame you're not a spiritual Eddy or I'd have you carry her." A slight smug smile to that voice as Eddy flustered and looked off to the side."Shut up." he grumbled. The pair clearly had an odd relationship. Still, it seemed they'd have to work something out.

"feathers aren't an issue. They aren't perfect protection or anything. If you don't think you can finish it off, I'll see about blowing it's brains out. Eddy, think you can get close?" Colt ventured, immediately causing a nervous look on the man's face. "I.....I can try?" He murmured. Certainly not too keen on the idea of getting incredibly close to the beast, but it wasn't like they had much other options. Thankfully it wasn't too long before that hollow made itself known again by appearing up in the air. Causing Colt to perk up. "ah, its too stupid to hunt normally. That bodes well. Raise your hand, Ed."

As those feathers crackled down, the man raised his arm as instructed and another panel WOOSHED out from the weapon, forming an umbrella of cover as Eddy would reach out to snag the woman's sleeve, to keep her under it's protective shell as Colt chuckled a bit. "Alright, Plan B. Eddy, open up." He instructed. Though the man immediately blanched. "Wh- do we have to though? why can't she? Ughh..." He sighed, shaking his head as he raised Colt up to his mouth and promptly sealed his lips to the side of the slider with clear discomfort. Of course, its likely that Scarley wouldn't have any clear idea of what was about to happen.

With a loud CRACKLE there was a flicker, a tingle of energy as suddenly, Eddy's soul burst from his back, sliding backwards and almost falling over as his body then promptly flashed Scarlet a grin and a wink. "Hold onto your tits, miss.Get ready to catch~" He chimed, before promptly, the air around him shimmered and he vanished. A sudden burst of speed that shot Eddy up and into the air, in a single step sliding up, and then around the Hollow to suddenly appear behind it. Those wires flashing in the cool evening air as they wound around it's body. Biting into it's flesh as "Eddy" raised his heel.

There was a crackle as spirit energy collected along the calf of his leg, forming a smooth panel, though one with tiny little cracks littering it's surface. With those strands holding it in place, Colt DROPPED his heel straight onto the hollow's face, that panel striking the mask and then promptly exploding! The loud crackling BANG of the panel detonating sounding off, sending tiny little fragments of reishi shrapnel into the thing's face as the force aimed to SLAM the creature toward the ground! Feasibly where Scarlet could pounce and finish the thing off!

“Yes, I’m a Fullbringer, but I haven’t figured out how to accelerate my movement yet if that’s what Bringer Light is. He’s not spiritual? How’s that possible if he sees the Hollow? Can’t he become spiritual just by surviving an attack like this?” Hikari had her mind returning to its normal state even with the pain she was going through, but now was more irritated actually pointing with her left index finger at the feathers that still remained in her bicep. She’d been told that while it didn’t always happen normal people could become spiritual if enough reiatsu infected them in a way. Suffering and surviving an attack from a Hollow she’d been told was the most common way for humans to become Fullbringers like her. Either way though now Hikari was looking between Eddy and his gun Colt while still apprehensive that Eddy wasn’t just messing with her. She hadn’t been told about any sort of living weapons or objects in the first place.

“I can cut through a few with my Fullbring that much I’ve already proven. They’re like chain mail though from what I can tell. This Hollow knows to block with a lot of them so it’s more like cutting through all at once.” Over the next minute or so quite a few things happened and Hikari just had trouble wrapping her mind around it all. This gun was using its reiatsu in different ways that she hadn’t seen before yet looked practical. It spoke like a full grown adult or a shinigami that had seen quite a bit of combat. Eddy felt more like some random guy that just got unlucky buying a sentient firearm and now was stuck with it like some B rank comedy action movie. What she saw next was something that really didn’t make any sense to her though.

One Eddy became two with one of them falling back and the other having an expression that didn’t match what little she’d seen of him up to this point at all. Then just like that before she could question anything he vanished in the same way the shinigami did! The sound was different, but he was there one moment and gone the next. Turning her head up and standing at the same time Hikari watched as Eddy appeared and then sent the Hollow down through the air with a downward kick that was performed quite well. Her right arm was essentially done, but holding her Fullbring with her left arm forward she’d swing upwards in the same manner as a heavy uppercut so that the Hollow would fall right on her axe’s edge and with her strength she’d swing up through its wings, eye and mask.

Dropping down onto her knees, blood streaming out from her right bicep Hikari breathes raggedly as she dissipates her Fullbring.
