CRASH!
The sound of a body flying through a window cut through the otherwise silent evening. The loud rustle of wind through clothing as the young man landed on the ground with a loud THUD! A graon spilling up from his lips as he writhed on the ground, bits of glass sticking to his shirt and pants as he slowly peeled himself off of the ground. "Cmon bucko! Lets go lets go! They're still on our tails!" A voice cut through the pained noises. The weapon held loosely in the young man's hand was speaking to him.
"Shut up I know!" The young man cried out, panting, rolling onto his hands and knees only to look up and spot a few heads peeking out from the window. On reflex his hand snapped up, aimed and he fired thrice. Loud Pops sounding off as those hands ducked out of the way and bullets pounded into the windowsill up above. A string of curses sounding from up above as well as a hit. 'FUCK! That fucker got my hand! Get his ass NOW!' It sounded like they'd have to move.
"Alleyway! To your left. Cmon kiddo!" Colt encouraged the young man as they stumbled up to their feet and staggered through the walkway. A litter of bleeding little cuts scattered across their frame in evidence. "I can't believe this is happening. WHY would you go off!? I wasn't even close to the trigger!" That shaky exacperated sob left the man's lips. Followed by an indignant hiss from the weapon.
"That guy deserved it! No weird skinny creep like him gets a wife that without being a dirtbag! He was a scoundrel and a fiend, and I'll not have you defend him! Besides, think about all the criminals you killed! They might make you an honorary sherrif! Ya like the sound of that Kev? Sherrif Kevin! Got a nicer ring to it eh?" He reasoned, clocking the look of annoyed disgust on his handler's face. But he'd woprry about all of that another time. For now, the sensation of little thumps from feet pounding down a flight of stairs up above drew their attention.
"Shit." The kid whimpered, and rushed down the alleyway into the adjacent street, peeking around. Thankfully this was a small, sleepy kinda town. Busy, but in the southern business district it wasn't very active at night. His best hope was to find someplace to lose them. And os he instinctively began rushing toward one of the office buildings. So long as they could find a place to hide they'd be fine. Of course Colt was helping. Giving directions and tips. And of course asking now and then if Kev had gotten that girl's number.
