The Hirawa clan is an ancient family of various spiritual beings presently headquartered in a facility underneath the grounds of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. Its main position of leadership is currently occupied by Hirawa Hinata, the self-promoted 32nd head of the clan, alongside their personal assistant and medical supervisor, Nakajima Kaito. Throughout the course of the Living World's history, the clan has taken many forms which allowed it and its members to prosper in the shadow of Humanity, such as covens, cults, and various secret societies, both within Japan and the rest of the world. While this approach remained as such with the passage of time, it eventually became bolder and bolder after the beginning of the 19th century - namely with the creation of the international syndicate known by those who were aware of its existence as the Hirawa-gumi - until the establishment of the clan's current front, which is more commonly referred to by the populace of the Living World as the Yumiya Group Corporation. Since then, the clan has ceased all criminal activities, instead now preferring to achieve their main goal primarily under the guise of merciless capitalism and audacious altruism, albeit with the same dash of covert manipulation they have now grown used to.
Though their history is rich with conflict and experience from both the side of the Shinigami of the Gotei 13 and the side of the Quincy of the Vandenreich, the Hirawa clan possesses no allegiances to anything or anyone other than itself and what its leaders have envisioned for the future of Humanity. This is mainly due to the nature of its existence, but also because of the ability granted by its leaders to their subordinates. As such, the clan is often considered to be hostile to the Soul Society, the Silbern and Las Noches, and so any of their attempts to become allies from their part are often perceived as being highly suspicious. Nevertheless, they believe all Fullbringers and other supporters of Humanity to be crucial for the safety and overall betterment of the Living World, and so they typically always attempt to offer aid to these particular individuals whenever they have the opportunity to do so, whether in the form of simple partnerships with one another or through other gifts.

As of present times, the number of people who are part of the Hirawa Clan is to be considered as being close to a hundred. Each of these members are scattered across the Living World, with many of them being connected to the Yumiya conglomerate in one way or another. While this may appear to be a rather meek amount, it is important to consider that the majority of these individuals are beings that have been successfully enhanced by the supernatural liquid created by Hirawa Hinata and manufactured by Nakajima Kaito. Thus, they are not to be underestimated under any circumstances, regardless of the image they project.
With that said, the following list is to be considered as harboring the main members of the clan, or at least the ones that have been officially recognized as such by the Yumiya corporation:

The ample history of the Hirawa clan has been erased time and time again by other entities beyond its control. In so doing, many of the details which once composed its entire timeline have been lost. However, the major characteristics of this timeline have been conserved by Hirawa Hinata through various records, both on paper and on computer, if only for them to be properly able to remember their past and, therefore, what they are fighting for. What follows is a recollection of these records, with each combined and then summarized by a single researcher of the YUMI-ANA division of the Yumiya corporation:
{The Forgotten Ones - A Brief History of The Rising Sun}
{1) Rejection}
Long ago, a number of centuries following the advent of the Soul Society, the Hirawa clan was considered to be an exemplary member of Seireitei's minor noble enclaves. Noted as a key scientific element of the Gotei 13, it provided to them intricate knowledge of the Asauchi and the Zanpakuto, as well as a particular technique which allowed for the application of this knowledge onto the bodies of spirits. However, as the Gotei 13 moved onward, rid itself of its original founders and then formed the Central 46 government, a conflict arose between the Hirawa clan and the politicians of the new organization, as the latter believed the former's knowledge on Zanpakuto to be grounds for a potential future coup d'état. This caused tensions between the two to grow in intensity over the next few centuries, with many violent interactions being recorded between the key members of the Hirawa clan and a few of the leaders of the greater noble families, namely those of the Kuchiki and Shihōin clans. That was, until one final clash, during which the Hirawa clan decided to secede from the Gotei 13 and join the ranks of the Vandenreich, in hopes of sparing them the cruelty of the genocide which awaited them at the hands of the Shinigami.
While they were unable to stop the Quincy massacre to occur in its entirety, the Hirawa clan served the Vandenreich as valiantly as they possibly could against the forces of the Soul Society. They called upon the powers of the Emperor to erase several Shinigami from existence, stole the Zanpakuto of the fallen to turn them all against the Gotei 13, and effectively declared war on everything which the Gotei 13 stood for. This caused Central 46 to begin a single operation, an act of deliberate forgetfulness whose objective was to completely cleanse any and all information that was either related to the Hirawa clan or provided to them prior to their secession. Those who were once part of the Hirawa clan, whether in the past, present or future, were also condemned to immediate execution for associating themselves with the Vandenreich. In other words, for the clan's betrayal of the Soul Society's values, they would be forgotten by the Soul Society's people, and thus be condemned not as the Shinigami they once were, but rather as the Quincy they had now become.
Since this moment, the history of the Hirawa clan remained unknown to many. As they were forgotten in any and all aspect, no records were kept from that point on by anyone other than the members of the clan themselves. In a twist of irony, this effectively allowed them to conduct their clandestine operations across the Living World unimpeded, which inadvertently led to the inclusion of several Humans within the Quincy empire with the use of their intricate knowledge on Zanpakuto. Several tools and advancements were also created by the clan's scientific team for the people of the Silbern, many of which took the form of intricate devices solely designed to better one's quality of life, both during and outside of battle. This allowed them to be cherished by many citizens of the Silbern, though their use of the Zanpakuto - the tool of those who murdered their kind - caused many soldiers of the Vandenreich to only reluctantly accept them in spite of their usefulness. Such was made most apparent after the rise of the 31st head of the clan, Hirawa Rei.
Over the course of Rei's leadership, the people of the Hirawa clan attempted to take on a more peaceful approach to the conflict between the Shinigami of the Gotei 13 and the Quincy of the Vandenreich so as to unite all beings, both organic and spiritual. They searched for peace and harmony above all else, promoting their knowledge as a means to transform themselves not into weapons of war, but rather into tools of progress which would bring all worlds into one in time. While the clan's philosophy was first deemed to be rather commendable, mainly since it was this very philosophy which allowed for the indoctrination of even more Human recruits into the empire, it eventually found itself clashing against the thoughts of the Emperor of the Vandenreich as he conducted operations against the Soul Society. In a cruel repetition of the past, the people of the Hirawa would find themselves entering conflicts with their comrades within the Vandenreich, and a few of them would even dare to refuse carrying out the orders of the Emperor. Such folly would bring about another operation of forgetfulness directed against the Hirawa clan, one that was infinitely more terrible than the fate that was previously bestowed onto them while they were still part of the Gotei 13.

{2) Rejuvenation}
In the matter of perhaps only a minute at best and an hour at worse, all members of the Hirawa clan who had received power from the Emperor in any shape or form were instantly reduced to nothingness. The young and the old, the experienced and the inexperienced, all were burned by the Emperor's might. All... except one. From the ashes of the annihilated Hirawa clan rose a single individual. This being was Hirawa Rei's progenitor, a person who was once described as a cheerful student full of potential, in part due to their great affinity for spiritual energy production and, consequently, their mastery over the application of the family's knowledge of Zanpakuto. In so doing, should the disaster had never occurred, they would have perhaps gone to become quite the fearsome warrior for the people of the Vandenreich. However, such potential would never be realized. At least, not in the way the Emperor once envisioned, for he had burned it away in one fell swoop. In that moment, whatever remained from that being was nothing more than a thing, something charred and lesser than even the weakest of Humans.
For all instance and purposes, that thing should have perished. It should never have been allowed to remain in this world, whether living or dead. But even so, it survived. Even as its body was thrown out into a forest of the Living World to rot there until its inevitable demise, it nevertheless remained alive, crawling for miles until it found a single town. The people there - nothing more than Humans - immediately tended to it with great kindness, granting it aid when it needed it most. It thanked them. It opened its heart to them, as much as it possibly could. Yet, as much as it wanted to do so, much of what it once was had been destroyed, cleansed by the fires of the Emperor, and so it eventually fell into a period of mute contemplation. Its old identity had been erased, its family had been disintegrated. It was now alone, bound to a body that would give way at any moment. Such a realization should have led it to ruin... but it did not do so. Instead, a great rage developed within its heart, a deep seethed hatred for a god who had rejected him and its people.
Fueled by this hatred, the thing found itself looking towards the sun one day during the evening. In that moment, basking in its orange afterglow, the thing allowed its anger to reforge its identity. From there on, it would no longer be it. No, it would no longer be just a thing, for it refused to bestow onto itself such a sordid fate. Instead, it would become they, Hirawa Hinata, the one who stared at the sun and survived its cruel flame. They would also become something that their father had longed for them to become: a model of progress, a tool that would allow the people to eventually come forward and evolve into one singular civilization. How long such a process was going to take, they had no way to tell, but they knew that they were not going to achieve this through peaceful means, for it was clear the world rejected peace. This objective was instead going to be achieved through a gradual assimilation, intense worship of the future that would permit them to become as gods, and the complete dismantling of everything which currently governed the realms. No more Quincy. No more Shinigami. No more Hollows. With their passing shall come the end of the age of stagnancy and of infinite strife, and the beginning of an age of constant Human evolution.
With this newfound spirit, the self-promoted 32nd head of the Hirawa clan immediately began to commit to the plan they had crafted for themselves and Humanity as a whole. Though their body was cursed to remain forever broken, their mouth remained, and so did the knowledge of the clan's most esteemed technique. With it, they called upon the strength of their sacred energy, and in so doing, they began to work. The times which followed the beginning of this process were tiresome, but fruitful. Slowly but surely, many would come to Hinata, and many would take onto them their power in order to become their faithful followers. These followers would then be granted a single primary task: bring forward the tools of human revolution, the blades that shall be turned into divine nectar. Unsurprisingly, retrieving Zanpakuto from the Living World was a very difficult task, one that could only be achieved in utter secrecy. Fortunately for Hinata's followers, there were many spirits roaming the earth by the time of their leader's rebellion against the Emperor, as well as many beasts who grew more powerful thanks to the reign of evil Humans. Thus, many of the blades would be found on dead Shinigami who laid dead on various European battlefields, left there by the creatures conjured by war.
Together, the empowered beings under Hinata's leadership would continue their operations until, eventually, they would begin focusing these operations strictly onto the shadows of Japan, this generation's location of the Jūreichi. There, they would form into a singular organization known as the Hirawa-gumi, one of the Yakuza syndicates. For a time, they would remain in secrecy, preferring to remain to themselves as Hinata further regained the power that was stolen from them by the Emperor's light. However, while the new syndicate became more and more prominent in the underworld, a crucial problem would be observed within its followers. Quite simply, although the compound created from Hinata's energy indeed granted much power, enough so that it turned mere Humans into higher beings that could rival Hollows without breaking a sweat, it also became more powerful over time. This should have been a good thing... but not for mere Humans. Indeed, this surge caused the grand majority of those who used the compound to succumb to it. At first, they would only remain alive for ten to twenty years until their internal organs would be consumed by the spiritual energy flowing within them, a period of time that was inconceivable in comparison to the one which their predecessors followed. Then, eventually, this amount was reduced to a mere five years.
This caused Hinata to become hesitant in the use of their technique. While it was good that they were getting more powerful allies as their lost strength slowly returned to them, it could be argued that the speed at which they lost these allies rendered this positive completely moot. Thus, as more and more of their allies perished from their power, they became desperate to find a solution. They searched across the Living World for knowledge over the matter, and even the dregs of the Soul Society with the aid of the Shinigami under their control. After a time, they came to understand that their problem had been solved eons ago by their Hirawa ancestors; however, all knowledge of this problem had effectively been erased by the Gotei 13, rendering it impossible to find much like the rest of the Shinigami records connected to the clan. This caused Hinata to briefly lose hope in their plan and to believe that their efforts would forever be relegated to those of a meager Yakuza clan...
... but then, they heard of a particular surgeon of Tokyo, a man who had just lost his daughter.

... but then, they heard of a particular surgeon of Tokyo, a man who had just lost his daughter.
{3) Retribution}
Through the first two decades of the 21st century, the Hirawa clan would learn of the existence of Nakajima Kaito. The man was an expert in the medical field, one so prolific in the world of medicine and pharmacy that he was able to gain a certain reputation for himself, mainly for his skills, but also for his extreme sternness and severeness in regards to the wounded. That was, until a certain day in the year 2020. Suddenly, without any warning, his daughter - a student of the University of Tokyo going by the name of Kimiko - was murdered by a madman at a local arcade within the Akihabara district. In the span of a week, the man changed. Gone was the cold expression that he always sported on his face, and gone was his frustration. Instead, what was left was a heartbroken man who could barely bring himself to work. Such was made evident by the tears that he could not bring himself to hide during various interviews conducted by several Tokyo TV channels, and the innate depression that he had clearly entered following it all.
The man remained a surgeon within Tokyo's biggest medical facility for a bit longer, roughly a year, until he was eventually deemed unable to continue working by the facility's administration. In so doing, he was put on temporary leave, during which he was able to remain with his wife Keiko. It was a time of weakness, one that Hinata perceived as being intrinsically relatable to their own situation. More importantly, they also believed this entire context to be impossibly unfair. They knew what the madman - Yamamoto Kazumi - was. They were not merely an insane being, not simply a person who wished to kill another simply because they had lost too many games at the arcade, for if that was the case, Hirawa would not have sensed the Hollow's stench on his body when they watched him being escorted to prison from afar. Such knowledge should not be hidden from a bright man like Kaito. They should not be condemned to the current limits of the Living World.
It was this philosophy which caused Hirawa to send one of their allies - a member of the Hirawa-gumi - to the Nakajima's apartment within the Japanese metropolis. While initial introductions were shaky, in part due to the many interviews Kaito had already taken part of, he eventually relented and decided to listen to the gangster's case. The gangster quickly cut to the chase, if only to be as honest as possible with the grieving father, by giving Kaito a deal. It was a simple choice to make: either he continued to follow his path of sadness, or he instead left the public health market to start his own company alongside the gangster. Kaito, who believed himself to be quite far from the ideal businessman, immediately found himself asking the man why he would do such a thing. He was a surgeon, a medical practitioner: there was no way he could start a business successfully. In response, the gangster told him that this opportunity would allow him to find out about the true nature of his daughter's murder.
Keiko, who was present during the meeting, naturally believed the man to be shrewd and manipulative. Such a thing was not entirely unexpected; after all, the gangster was a stranger to the Nakajima, and for all intents and purposes, he was attempting to manipulate her husband into doing things for a shady group. As such, she objected to the deal. However, Kaito did not... or rather, he could not, for his grief-riddled mind believed from that point onward that his daughter's murder was the result of some kind of conspiracy. It was these thoughts that pushed him to accept the deal of the member of the Hirawa-gumi, and in so doing, the both of them would begin to prepare the paperwork that would lead to the birth of a new institution underneath Kaito's name, one where he could not only extend his research, but also work in tandem with the man in order to learn more about what truly happened to Kimiko. This institution, from this point onward, would be referred to as Nakajima Pharmaceutical.
For a time, Nakajima Pharmaceutical would take the form of a simple shop over an underground lab, within which Kaito and a few people of the Hirawa-gumi would create several medicinal items. The majority of these items were produced with particular compounds that many of the civilians closest to the store believed to be miraculous in aspect. They cured all sickness with ease, ridding them of their bodies in the matter of days, and they somehow accelerated the healing of certain wounds. Then, they began to apply special effects to those who required them. Those who required greater strength would suddenly find themselves emboldened by the smallest of pills with musculature they could have never once dreamed of, the kind that should usually only be expected from the most powerful of steroids. Meanwhile, students who instead required greater focus for their studies would drink a particular syrup that allowed them to conduct several mathematical equations at once for days.
The potency of these medicinal items was put into question by the common folk who used them many more times than once. While they were beneficial in aspect, it seemed odd that they possessed no negative traits whatsoever. Yet, due to their impressive performance, none questioned their nature. None, other than Kaito, the very one who produced these items. For years he had created the same things he had always created for his previous work at the hospital... and yet, somehow, they had suddenly become so much more efficient than they should have been. At first, he remained quiet, in part due to the overwhelming amount of money he kept receiving from both the sales of the shop as well as the funding from his partner; however, after a time, he would eventually find himself studying the many compounds that were provided to him by the Hirawa-gumi, or rather he did so more extensively, as he typically only used them for production. What he found would surprise him greatly.
Somehow, the compounds contained several atoms and molecules that were completely unknown to Kaito. They appeared oddly ethereal in aspect, vibrant, as though they were not of this world. They also frightened him. Terrified by this discovery, he immediately demanded his partner to speak with their supplier. Ironically, this request would be exactly what would lead him to the head of the Hirawa clan. To his shock, he would be explained by the wounded leader that the strange material the man had found was not an unknown substance, or rather, it was not a substance that was publicly-known to Humans. What he had found was reishi, the spiritual matter which formed the world in its entirety. It would also be in this instance that Hinata would reveal to Kaito the extent of the spiritual world. He would be told of the many realms and of their many people, of Shinigami and Quincy and Hollows, and he would also be told the true reason behind why Hinata had specifically chosen him.
It was a lot of information to take in. Quite a lot. But as he listened to it all, his mind started connecting the dots, and he felt a flame begin to course throughout his entire body. That flame... was anger. It was wrath, fury. All this time, such a world had been hidden from them. All this time, there were invisible monsters roaming about the entire world, eating and manipulating Humanity as they saw fit. All this time, he had been oblivious to the fact that Kimiko had been murdered by one of those monsters. If he had known about their existence, maybe he could have stopped that animal from rendering that Kazumi insane... and maybe then, his daughter could have remained alive.
It was not fair. None of this was fair. And thus, it was this unfairness that pushed him onward to join the Hirawa clan.
For the future of Humanity.

{4) Revolution}
After Kaito's official recruitment into the fold of the Hirawa clan, the work of Nakajima Pharmaceutical expanded tenfold. Many more concoctions and medicinal items were manufactured with the aid of the spiritual compound, all of which were more successful than the last, and in so doing, the profits of the company exploded. Their customers believed their work to be miraculous - the kind that should not exist - and, somehow, the many healthcare agencies of Japan could not find any detrimental effects within the products manufactured by Kaito and his employees. This led to the unstoppable growth of the company, one which was carefully handled by the Hirawa-gumi over the course of the next five years which followed, until it grew into one of Japan's greatest healthcare manufacturers. It had even been granted its own great headquarters, the Nakajima Tower, a memorial to Kaito's daughter that could be found in the very center of the Japanese metropolis.
Unfortunately, the tower was attacked by an unknown entity - more specifically, two Hollows - before the end of its completion. There were many who were killed during the attack, the most of which being administration employees as well as construction workers. Nevertheless, in the face of such a disaster, Kaito remained undeterred. In fact, the attack only emboldened his wish to avenge his daughter, and to exterminate the enemies of Humanity. So, he continued to work with the Hirawa-gumi, learning more and more about the secrets of the world and its twisted afterlife. He toiled, and toiled, and toiled again, working tirelessly and without stop, to the point that his wife Keiko eventually found herself leaving him with her heart broken by his obsession, something he paid no real attention to. Then, finally, he achieved something that none within the Hirawa clan could have ever expected. Indeed... he had found a solution to the shortening lifespan of those who received Hinata's gift.
The solution in question was a particular solution concocted by Kaito. With the aid of both scientific and spiritual methods, the essence of the head of the clan was distilled, purified, and then transformed into a single mixture. It was a complex process that required several years of research as well as the study of countless books retrieved from the Soul Society from those who had become allied with the Hirawa in secret. The aforementioned mixture that resulted from this process was also not particularly stable, as it at times led to the terrible mutation of the body. In spite of this, it led to the creation of a most miraculous being. Indeed, it led to the birth of the first metallic Human, the Soldat. The existence of such a specimen was nothing short of divine work in the eyes of Hinata, the true beginning of the new age they have envisioned. Such a stupendous gift was to be commended, no, rewarded... and so, Kaito was granted a most powerful gift indeed.
For his efforts and for his complete dedication to the cause of the Hirawa clan, the man was recognized as the head of the clan's official second-in-command, a position that was never-before-seen within the ranks of the clan. This immediately bestowed onto him a certain control of the Hirawa clan's activities, as well as an access to the inventory they have gathered over the course of multiple centuries. No time was wasted. Shortly after this promotion, the Hirawa-gumi was transformed into Mirai Motor, Ltd., a fake entity meant to take the appearance of a motorized company. Then, together with Hinata, Kaito decided to combine the company he had created with the aid of the clan with the newfound Mirai Motor. In so doing, Nakajima Pharmaceutical was no more. In its stead would be born a new organization, an international conglomerate whose power spread at a rate that never could have been foreseen by many Humans prior to its creation: the Yumiya Group Corporation.
Many evolutions came with this decision. There was the corporatization of the Hirawa clan, the establishment of various sectors within Yumiya, and a twisting of the clan's more shadowy values as they took the form of products to be sold to the general worldwide populace. There was also the creation of various scientific items and technological devices, the manifestation of a private militarized force, and the use of weaponized Hollows and failures brought about by Kaito's solution. And then, most important of all, there was the mass production of the Hirawa clan's technique. No more would the clan be limited to Hinata's essence. Now, they could simply repeat the process over, and over, and over again... until eventually, time will reward them with something of unparalleled greatness.
With the foundation of the corporation and the leadership of both Hinata and Kaito combined, a new world shall be created. In this world, Humanity shall be king. There shall be no Shinigami, no Quincy, and no Hollows!
