Arcadus continued his route along the edge of the compound. He'd heard, just as he'd phased through the outside wall, a series of an explosions as no doubt some spiritual nonsense the human that Arcadus was almost certian now as a quincy had decided to destroy the building he'd been in. Judging by the distance, Arcadus figured he had time to sneak further along the line, making his angle of entrance closer to behind the man.
As much as this was likely an attempt on his life, Arcadus pondered on whether or not he should just wait, instead of wait on this quincy to grow frustrated. Figuring the better option was to put his opponent at a disadvantage first without engaging, Acadus decided to hide. Looking at his surroundings, Arcadus figured hiding amongst the trash pile would be as good an option as any. It had hidden him prior, and should sufice for now.
Nestling himself in, Arcadus guessed he was maybe 50 yards away from the quincy at this point, having moved about as fast has his paws would let him. As for the exploding arrows, Arcadus figured frustrating the quincy was risky, but he needed an option for trying to leave. Kumon was slow and not exactly discrete, so if the quincy guessed wrong, he'd have an option to open it and leave, and if he guessed right, he'd have little time to move out of the garbage. But closing the gap seemed foolish against such a foe.
It seemed far better to force the quincy to search for him. It was unlikely the human would try and flush him out, given that the power to cover the area he could be hiding in was enourmous, and even within the specific hiding spot there was quite a lot of area. More over, Arcadus had a decent vantage to peek and watch his surroundigs from within the pile, black bags helping disguise his black fur. Settling in, Arcadus slowed himself, focusing on his insticts, to predate, to hunt.
