This is a training session for Manabu Brock. Randomly, he was sent a Hell Butterfly telling him to come to the Squad 7 Barracks to train. This should be a good opportunity for him since he will grow stronger from this. He will be training in a variety of things, such as using his techniques better and improving swordsmanship. This training session will be a simulation of sorts. Brock will be facing off against a variety of enemies around his level that will test his skill and power.
This training takes place in a normal sized dojo with green tiles making up the walls and a brown wooden floor. Brock will be training for SP in this thread.

Manabu was sitting in a courtyard at the Academy reading Kumiko Fan's classic treatise On Kido. He had discovered this courtyard in his second year at Shino Academy. It was usually less crowded than any of the others, and it got plenty of Sun. There were a few trees and no bushes, and the furniture was designed for lounging. It was all wood rather than stone. There were adjustable-backed chairs, a swinging bench, and a wooden platform for whatever you wanted. That's where the Hell Butterfly found him.
He high-tailed it over to the barracks. He was pretty excited at this point to get some more training. He'd been trying to train on his own for a bit, but he could never get as good a work out as he did from training with Zanken. Hopefully this would be another intensive session that would mean real progress for him.
As soon as Manabu got to the barracks, the doors closed right behind him. As soon as the door closed, a voice was heard. It was robotic, metallic sounding. It was kind of deep too. "Welcome Manabu Brock." the voice said. "What would you like to train today?" This was interesting. The room was speaking to Brock. Brock would probably wonder who it was that had built this room. It seemed so high tech. Probably Squad 12 or something. Either way, it was time for him to train. This would be nice. He could just tell it what he wanted to train, and then he could train in that. That was really nice.

Manabu was taken aback by this automated room. It wasn't as impressive as Wang Kuchiki's automated house (at least not yet), but he was certainly surprised to find that the barracks had been automated. It seems this was the future of training. He would find out soon enough.
"Ohayo, barracks-dono. Thank you for training me. I am most notably lacking in my physical abilities. I need my body to be able to keep up with my mind if I am to be maximally effective."
Manabu could have just said that he wanted to become faster. However, in addition to experiencing the automated training, he wanted to test its interpersonal capabilities. How was its language recognition? Would it be able to comprehend a request that was made without explicitly requesting anything?

OOC: Hey Brock, I should have said this before. Can you post your stats in on your next post?
IC: The room remained silent for some time as it took in Brock's request, and then it finally spoke up. "Your body is not strong or fast enough to keep up with your mind. I understand your request, and I shall now grant it." So it seemed the room had understood what Brock was saying. That meant that it was built to be pretty intelligent. Though, what would it give Brock for training to improve his speed? The answer was given as the room suddenly glowed and flashed a bright white. This would surely be blinding enough to cause Brock to cover his eyes. Then, when the light faded, Brock was no longer in the training dojo room. He now stood in an open field with trees on the outskirts of this field. A variety of different colored flowers were growing in the grass at his feet, which ccame up to his ankles. This place looked beautiful and relaxing.
All of a sudden, someone called out Brock's name. "LEMME TELL YA SOMETHIN' MANABU BROCK! THOSE WHO CAN'T MOVE FAST ENOUGH TO KEEP UP WITH THEIR MIND AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH! YA GOT THAT?! YOU NEED TO GET FASTER!" the voice called out. Whoa! What had Manabu done to get him so pissed off that he was yelling at him. The man before Brock now had a slight scowl on his face. He looked like a tough guy. A training maniac. He had his black hair tied in a shoulder length ponytail behind his head while the rest of it spiked out in front. He was slightly tanned, and he had fierce brown eyes that stared at Manabu. He wore the normal shinigami uniform with brown sandals. He seemed to just stand there, one finger pointed at Manabu while he spoke, and the other holding the side of his hip. He looked quite funny the way he was now. It would be hard not to laugh at his facial expression.

"... I'm sorry. I didn't catch your name. Also, while I agree it is problematic, I don't know that I'd agree that I'm scum. I usually have a fairly objective idea about things. If it's all the same, I'd rather just get on with the training."
"I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE SCUM MANABU BROCK! I'M SAYING YOU CAN BE BETTER!" the man said. He then stopped pointing his finger at Manabu and stared at him for a few seconds before speaking again. "I'M HIDEO HIROKI! I'LL HELP YOU GET FASTER SO THAT YOU CAN BE STRONG!" he said. This man was a little scary in a sense. He yelled alot, and he seemed to be one of those hyper training maniacs. Well, that was sort of good. That meant Manabu would get some good training from this man. He would push him to his limits and maybe even beyond! Now the question was, just what kind of training would the man put him through though. "ALRIGHT NOW! WE'RE GONNA BE PLAYING TAG!" Wait, did he just say tag? How was that supposed to help? "NOW COME ON AND CATCH ME!" Hideo yelled as he took off running. Brock should probably hurry and take off after him.

"Wait, did you just say..." Manabu suddenly took off after this character. It was, indeed, a game of tag. Manabu took in a deep breath after his sudden jolt into running before he went back to normal breathing.
If he were going to catch this guy, Manabu would need to maintain his breathing. Otherwise, he'd run out of steam without any chance of catching up. He really doubted he'd be able to catch Hiroki if he were really running at his best. Whether he caught him or not, Manabu would definitely get a work out. That was the point after all.

Hideo looked back as he ran to see if Brock was following. "GOOD GOOD! THAT'S IT! I WON'T BE STOPPING ANYTIME SOON, SO YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE TO KEEP UP!" Hideo called out. This guy was truly something. How long was he going to make Brock run around like this?? Surely this was a little childish in manner, though in the end, it would serve some purpose. Hideo continued running and began cackling. "KEEP UP MANABU BROCK!" he shouted behind him as he took off even more at an even faster pace. This was going to be very difficult. Brock would probably get winded after this, but if he continued maintaining correct breathing, he would probably not be as tired when he finally did catch up to Hideo. Keeping pace with him until he could catch him would also help as well. It was always good to keep up with fast runners so that you yourself could become fast just by being able to keep up with them at a steady pace.

Manabu couldn't afford the breath to respond. If he were ever going to catch Hideo, he would have to run and nothing else. Right arm and left arm. Right leg and left leg. Forward and backward. Manabu had perfect form. Good, quality, full leg extensions. Smooth, fluid movement. That was the problem.
If two guys run from home to first in the same time, but one has good form and the other is sloppy, you take the sloppy runner and show him the good form. Manabu's limitations were all physical. There was nothing left to show him. The only option was hard physical labor, and Hideo was going to provide it.
A few minutes had passed, and Manabu was still going. Soon, however, he would reach the end of his endurance and start to slow down. There'd be no hope of catching him after that. He'd have to make a move now. Manabu began stamping the ground hard as he ran. He gained a boost of speed, bu he could feel the increased strain immediately. He might be able to keep that up for 15 seconds without falling over. Would it be enough?

Hideo continued running, moving at a steady pace. He heard Brock coming up behind him. He could hear his footsteps as he ran. Hideo turned as he ran and called out to Brock. "GOOD GOOD! YOU'RE KEEPING UP!" Hideo then did something really random. He suddenly stopped running and then bent down, then leapt into the air. He moved high into the air, and twirled so that he could move behind Brock. He landed, and then turned around, heading back in the other direction. "KEEP UP!" Hideo called out. One would probably wonder what exactly his point was in making Brock go in circles like this. There was actually a method to his madness. Hideo was trying to help Brock build up his stamina so that his opponents couldn't tire him out as easily in battle. It would be good if Brock could tire his opponent out instead of it being the opposite. It was good that Brock was keeping a steady pace. He would need to if he wanted to get Hideo to tire out first since he was the one running his fastest and doing the most running around to avoid getting caught.

Manabu jumped after Hideo to no avail. As Hideo's entire body rose the 6 plus feet required to turn Manabu into a whole new kind of out-classed foe, Manabu began to weigh some things in his mind. He could start using some other resources to catch his prey, but that would defeat the purpose of this exercise. On the other hand, he wouldn't be able to catch him without making use of something other than his body. Which will it be, journey or destination?
No question. The journey is the destination![/color][/i]
"I'll get you, Hideo Kiroki!" Manabu shouted and laughed as he turned on a hard stop. No more tactics of any kind from now on. Manabu's mind didn't need training, his body did. He wasn't going to catch up, but he wasn't going to let up either. Well, at least he wouldn't until his stamina ran out.

Good. Good. Brock was keeping up so far. He was able to handle Hideo at this speed. Brock was doing well in being able to keep up. After this was over, he would probably get a huge speed boost, and he would probably also be able to keep up with fast opponents. Hideo continued running, moving a little faster and faster by each second. Wait, how did he have so much energy?! He was just getting faster and faster. "LOOKS LIKE YOU CAN KEEP UP MANABU BROCK! GOOD!" Hideo shouted back to Brock. He continued running, and then suddenly made a sharp turn, heading to his right. He then made another sharp turn, and was now heading straight for Manabu. He had moved in a circle to get back around to him. What would Manabu do? Would he take this chance to try and catch Hideo or would he lose this chance? Hideo was coming in towards Manabu, and quickly too. His turn was sharp though, and so it might catch Manabu off guard.

Manabu wasn't really sure what Hideo had in mind at this point. If it were time to end the chase, Hideo could just tell him. Perhaps he was about to perform another acrobatic feat of escape. Is he taunting me? In any event, I need to throw him a curve.[/i] Manabu suddenly stopped running and abruptly fell forward. He came down into a handspring which he used to adjust his trajectory away from Hideo. As soon as his feet hit the ground he was running again. Now he was headed for the nearest tree. It would take a second for Manabu to readjust his senses and determine whether Hideo was now chasing him. If he were, he'd have to get the lead out to reach that tree before Hideo caught him.
OOC: Sorry if this seems like a really boring training session. I have more in store. I probably should've started off with the good stuff first. If you ever get bored with it, just let me know and I can speed it up to the good parts okay?
IC: Hideo, was in actuality trying to taunt Manabu. He had wanted to see Manabu's reaction to his sudden turning. It seemed that now Hideo was chasing after Manabu, even though he was still, techinically "it." The role of "it" hadn't been passed to Hideo yet, but Hideo was running towards Manabu as though he was chasing him anyway. That was pretty cocky. Hideo must have believed that his speed far surpassed Manabu's own, which it probably did. If it hadn't, the room simulator wouldn't have created Hideo to train Manabu with. Anyway, Hideo watched as Manabu did a handspring to move himself away from Hideo. This was a good chance for Hideo to show Manabu just what kind of speed he had. He would tag him, even though he wasn't "it". Hideo continued running, moving full speed ahead towards Manabu who was running towards the tree. He was catching up, and he continued moving, seeming to become faster and faster. He outstretched a hand as he neared Manabu, aiming to tap him. What would Manabu do?
