Height/Weight: 6'3" / 210 lbs
Physical Description:
At the heart of Turushino's charm lies his ever-present smile—a trademark that has become synonymous with his name. The warmth of his grin seems to be unyielding, as if it's a reflection of the eternal optimism that resides within him. Be it fueled by pure optimism or the jar of alcohol he carries on his person; the man always looks happy as he strolls around from place to place. Despite being 145 years old, Turushino retains his younger appearance, that of a 26-year-old young adult. Turushino is a reasonably tall, well-built Shinigami often seen as a carefree trickster. Upon closer inspection, one would notice the countless scars that adorn his body, each one with a unique story to tell. Turushino wears these marks with pride, as they serve as a testament to the battles he has fought and the adversities he has overcome during his life. He delights in recounting these stories, each time adding a touch of exaggeration that leaves his audience both amused and amazed.
He sports long, jet-black hair cascading in disarray, reflecting his untamed personality. A single braid, intricately woven, adorns the side of his head, adding just a tiny touch of elegance to his usually dirty visage. His complexion boasts a rich, sun-kissed tan, reflecting the thousands of hours spent beneath the open sky during his life, something that has not changed much in his afterlife either. Captivating eyes, always featuring a glimmer of wonder, rest upon his face. Like molten gold, his piercing gaze seems to reflect his almost ever-present smile while also hiding some confidence behind them. Traditional face paints adorn his features. These simplistic patterns, carefully applied, serve as a visual representation of his cultural heritage and ancestral connection. Each stroke of color holds significance, reflecting ancient traditions, rituals, beliefs, and even current emotions.
He possesses a distinct style that sets him apart from other Shinigami. While his attire largely follows the traditional Shinigami garb, he skillfully incorporates unique elements to express his culture. One striking feature of his appearance is the assortment of pelts that embellish his clothing. The carefully crafted pelts were styled after fierce creatures that may have given him one or multiple of his scars. Whether it's a sleek wolf pelt draped across his shoulders or the rough fur of a mighty bear, each pelt serves as a testament of who he is. Despite the unconventional nature of his attire, he manages to strike a delicate balance between tradition and personal expression, showcasing his understanding of both the importance of his role as a Shinigami and his desire to showcase his unique style.

He moves with a captivating blend of grace and force, evoking the majesty of a seasoned dancer while emanating an aura of restrained power. His swift twirls and artful spins weave together a spellbinding performance, captivating the eyes of both friend and foe alike. Yet, behind this captivating display lies the essence of true combat prowess. Turushino's attacks hit with the weight of a tempest, each strike carrying the force of a thunderous storm. The battlefield itself seems to be nothing more than a grand stage for him to perform upon. In this unique form of battle, Turushino finds solace in the strength of his heritage. His people's traditions, once danced around communal bonfires under the watchful gaze of the moon, now fuel his resolve on the battlefield. In moments of harmony with the dance of spirits by his side, offering guidance and granting him the strength to face any challenge.
When he releases his Shikai, Turushino wields his spear not as a lone dancer but as a conductor leading an ethereal ensemble. The spirits of Kamuy, ancient beings from the spirit realm, take material form to fight alongside him, adding an otherworldly element to his mesmerizing combat dance. Each movement becomes a harmonious symphony as Turushino choreographs his steps, and the Kamuy respond in perfect synchrony. As he takes to the fray, the spirits manifest as radiant apparitions, their presence amplifying the elegance and power of his spearplay. They move with an eerie grace, mirroring his every motion as if guided by a spectral conductor's baton. Together, Turushino and the Kamuy form a partnership, their dance a fusion of mortal skill and supernatural grace.
The dances of the Kamuy vary wildly, from the elegant and defensive movements of the Threshold, to the precise and fluid steps of the Calamity, the brutal and impactful strikes of the Mountains, and the wild and unpredictable whirls of Insanity.
The Kamuy of the Threshold embodies a dance that is akin to an impenetrable fortress. They move with fluid grace, weaving intricate patterns with their spectral forms, creating shields around Turushino. Their elegant and defensive movements intercept enemy attacks with an ethereal finesse, turning aside even the most relentless assaults. Like a serene ballet, they create a sense of serenity amidst the chaos of battle, their dance reflecting a steadfast commitment to protecting their allies and preserving the balance between worlds.

They whirl and spin, their steps shifting from one extreme to another, confounding both allies and foes. Their unpredictable dance becomes a double-edged sword, catching adversaries off guard while challenging Turushino to adapt and improvise in the midst of battle. Yet, it is precisely this element of unpredictability that makes them a potent force, surprising enemies with unorthodox tactics and defying expectations.
Amidst the symphony of dances, Turushino remains the central conductor, seamlessly transitioning between the different rhythms and tempos of the Kamuy. Zanpakuto Appearances:
Zanapakuto Release Names:
Shikai: Bless the Land, Fukurōhiko (梟 彦)
Bankai: Bankai, Fukurōhiko no Teikoku (梟 彦 の 帝 国)
Overall Ability:
Fukurōhiko's overall ability revolves around summoning a single spirit, or 'Kamuy' to enhance Turushino's dances by assigning him a dance partner. These spirits seem to be based on Ainu myths, and while he seems to be able to only command four of these, they each perform differently providing different benefits on the battlefield.
Shikai Overall Ability:
When released, Furohiko will manifest a Kamuy to fight alongside Turushino. The creature manifested seems to be up to Furohiko's choosing; whether there is some pattern or it is simply random is unknown. These creatures are known as 'Kamuy,' spirits that Turushino worshiped as gods in life. It seems only one of said spirits is able to be summoned at once, and the Kamuy available to Turushino seem to increase as the Shinigami proves himself (Grows stronger and reaches new class). At the time of awakening his Shikai, only one Spirit would answer his call. Due to Turushino's fighting style, all Kamuy work as his dance partners, each one bringing a different style of performance. If a Kamuy strays too far from Turushino, it simply disappears, having lost its dance partner.
Kamuy under Furohiko's command:
Apasam-Kamuy: Considered one of the more benevolent deities in Ainu culture, Apasam-Kamuy is the Kamuy of the Threshold. Called upon whenever a big change is happening, Apasam is there to protect those experiencing said change. Examples include people cursed by evil spirits, people experiencing particularly bad illnesses, and protecting mothers during childbirth. When summoned by Furohiko, Apasam helps Turushino and his allies by protecting them from danger, erecting barriers to shield them from 'change.' Apasam is, however, unable to cause harm to others. In their summoned state, Apasam resembles a Mai dancer with a veil covering their face. Their attire features intricate patterns resembling those found on butterfly wings. As Turushino fights, Apasam becomes his "dance partner," matching their movements together to create "The Dance of Thresholds," which focuses on defense over offense. (Available upon awakening his Shikai)
Apasam's Dance Steps:
Threshold Step: Seishi Suru
In the midst of his performance Turushino strikes a pose reminiscent of a Kabuki performer - one leg extended, body slightly turned, and hand held high in an elegant gesture. In perfect harmony with Turushino's pose, the Kamuy of the Threshold responds with a burst of spiritual energy. A radiant barrier materializes around Turushino and long as the Kamuy and Turushino remain in sync, the Threshold Step's barrier continues to provide protection. The barrier's strength is dependent on Turushino's Spiritual Pressure (75 Reiatsu cost to activate)
Threshold Step: Jitto Shiteiru
In perfect harmony with Turushino's performance, the Kamuy of the Threshold responds with a burst of spiritual energy. A radiant barrier materializes, enveloping the target in a mesmerizing display of ethereal light. The barrier becomes a celestial threshold, entrapping the opponent within its embrace and immobilizing them. The barrier acts as a prison, keeping the opponent at bay, while Turushino continues his dance with serene determination. The barrier's strength is dependent on Turushino's Spiritual Pressure (75 Reiatsu cost to activate)
Kina-Sut-Kamuy: Another benevolent deity of the Ainu people, Kina-Sut-Kamuy is the Kamuy god of Snakes. This Spirit is called upon when any natural disaster is happening, as he is there to protect people from calamities. When summoned by Furuhiko, Kina-Sut wraps around Turushino and readies himself to strike in tandem with the Shinigami, extending the range of their strikes. Kina-Sut resembles a large, predominantly blue snake with traditional white Ainu patterns down its body. As Turushino fights, Kina-Sut becomes his "dance partner," coiling around him to perform "The Dance of Calamities," focusing on evasion and elongating precise strikes. (Available upon achieving class 3)
Kim-Un-Kamuy: While not necessarily benevolent, Kim-Un seems to enjoy feasts with those who make offerings in his honor. Kim-Un is the Kamuy god of Bears and the Mountains, usually worshipped in celebrations to honor nature. When summoned by Furuhiko, Kim-Un stays behind Turushino, delivering single, devastating blows alongside the Shinigami. In his summoned state, Kim-Un resembles a large man wearing simple hunter garb with a straw cloak around his shoulders. Kim-Un also seems to be quite jovial and in a constant state of intoxication. As Turushino fights, Kim-Un becomes his "dance partner," stomping at his side to perform "The Dance of Mountains," which focuses on strong disabling blows. (Not Answering)
Pawci-Kamuy: Perhaps the only Kamuy Furohiko seems to be able to summon that is simply evil; she is the Kamuy goddess of Insanity. Pawci is said to have descended to earth to plague humanity with insanity, stomach ailments, food poisoning, seizures, and frenzied dancing. When summoned by Furuhiko, she seems to constantly dance around Turushino, having absolutely no pattern to her movements, causing the Shinigami's weapon to twist, bend, and change shape to her whim. In her summoned state, Pawci has no set appearance; while she always has a humanoid outline, her body seems to be formed of nothing but constantly changing patterns with shifting colors. As Turushino fights, Pawci becomes his "dance partner," floating alongside him to perform "The Dance of Insanity," which focuses on wild, unpredictable movements. (Not Answering)

History:
In the year 1878, amidst the rugged beauty of the Ainu lands, Turushino was born into an ancient Ainu tribe, destined to inherit the mantle of leadership as the son of the chief. From an early age, he was immersed in the rich tapestry of Ainu traditions and culture, growing up amidst the whispering forests and sacred mountains that held the secrets of his people.
From an early age, Turushino possessed a unique gift – the ability to see spirits that dwelled beyond the veil of the living. It was a profound connection that set him apart from his peers, and though it both fascinated and frightened him, he embraced his role as a bridge between the realms of the living and the departed. The origin of this gift could be traced back to a harrowing incident that occurred when Turushino was a young child. His mother, while performing a sacred ritual, encountered an ominous presence – an 'evil Kamuy,' as one of the tribe's priests described it. This malevolent spirit sought to claim her life, leaving the tribe in fear and turmoil.
As a child, Turushino learned the ways of the hunter, guided by the teachings of his elders. He honed his skills in the art of tracking, bowmanship, and stealth, becoming one with the wilderness that surrounded him. Each hunt was not merely a means of survival but a sacred communion with the spirits of nature, an offering of gratitude for the bounty they provided.
Amidst the rituals of daily life, Turushino also embraced the vibrant celebrations that adorned the Ainu calendar. He partook in the traditional festive rituals, dancing around roaring bonfires under the watchful gaze of the moon, and invoking the spirits of his ancestors through rhythmic chants and songs. These moments of unity with his tribe forged bonds that ran deep, connecting him to the generations that came before him and those who would follow.
As he grew older, Turushino's prowess as a hunter and his unwavering dedication to Ainu traditions caught the attention of the tribe's spiritual elders. They saw in him a rare blend of reverence for the old ways and the potential for greatness in the face of an ever-changing world. At the tender age of 26, tragedy struck the Ainu tribe, and Turushino's life came to an abrupt end. Yet, his tale did not conclude with his mortal passing; rather, it marked the beginning of a new chapter in the spirit realm.
