Quest Synopsis: An individual of unknown origin is currently wreaking havoc in the Human World. Any and all Reiatsu signatures are being suppressed, leaving none to know what's going on at the moment. The only person able to stop the attacks? The Septima Espada.

Overall Goal: Slay the target.

Here I stand, once again, in the same place I was as I am before. If.. the place I once was a corner store of a Gas Station. Sheesh, that Shinigami Captain sure did love to act proud and run their mouth. What a load of stress, honestly not worth it. Nah, I much prefer this, just chilling... feeling the cool sensation of this human world sensational drink pour down my crystal throat feels like being dipped into a cold stream on a hot summers day.

The silver eyes of the Synthetic Shio gazed up at the night sky above her, lost in longing, and quite obviously attempting to distract herself from another type of thought, a not-so cheerful kind. The short slurp of her lips extracting the liquid from her Gas Station Slushie eventually runs dry, and her lips part with the straw. Existing in solemn posture, her other hand in her coat pocket, standing postured against the dazzling glow of a dimly lit streetlight.

"Yeah, I'm fine" - the Synthetic Shio, hosting the pill of the real one, resigns herself with shut eyes. If nothing else, the bejewelled night sky was clear tonight and the crisp air against the flaps of her coat begot a certain sense of peace; causing even the crystalline structure of her disillusioned form to flow against the light wind. At the moment, she were simply absorbing in the mellow nature of a pleasant evening, if only for the time being. Things felt okay.

Much as she had desired, Shio's evening had found itself relatively tame. Some might have viewed such an evening as rather unfit for someone as notorious as the Septima Espada, but that didn't seem to be something she particularly minded! Especially while treating herself to a rather delicious gas station delight. Everything had been relatively right with the world, even if things hadn't particularly gone her way.

Though, it wasn't prone to staying that way.

Washing over the gas station, and quickly flickering the lights in the building, a spiritual wave washed over the place. Those in the building looked around, seemingly confused. "Hell was that?" The woman behind the register asked, before going back to her crossword. Few customers seemed to be walking in and out, as it was relatively later in the evening. To most? Something like that would've caused most folks to gloss over the fact that it had happened. But, with Shio being spiritually aware, and possessing the energy sensing capabilities she did, she'd be let in on what had just happened.

While faint, the release of spiritual energy that washed over the shop had come from east of the gas station, and felt like quite the release of energy. In time, another would wash over the area once more, though with less force; the flickering hadn't occurred this time. Just what had been going on? In time, one last wave exploded outward, though this one more notably shook the building in its entirety. Lights turned off entirely, leaving the place in darkness for a moment, before the backup generator kicked in.

Needless to say, the building had been tumbled, and nearly taken off its foundation. Product fell from the shelves, and a general mess had been made of the store in a matter of seconds. This one felt more like that of a release than anything else, but not of something that Shio would be able to recognize. If it kept up though, things were only going to get worse in a short span of time. Perhaps investigating was the best idea?

Such an ordinary night was not destined to remain as such forever, unfortunately, to the woe of Shio who was just trying to catch a break; time would soon foretell a very different sort of evening. Noted, it hadn't been even a day since she had left Soul Society. When Shio felt that certain spiritual pressure, the kind that spoke of some kind of ruffian too big for his breeches flexing what tiny and insignificant power they had - her eyes turned cold.

In turn, a sort of diluted, calm but stern expression riddled on her face; but those prismatic eyes, already drained of excitement, seemed to turn into dull bloodlust in the wake of the second rumbling. All whilst the Septima remained stood in place, exactly where she existed; the streelight of the place she were resting flickering and eventually turning the lights off on her. The form of the Synthetic Shio glowed with a certain luminescence in the void of the night.

...Shio took a long and disheveled sigh, partially turning her figure to face the already shaken Gas Station, she raised one outstretched finger in a rather lazy fashion and enunciated:

... "Cero" ...

Brilliant azure reiatsu flared around the tip of her finger for the flash of a brief instant before bursting out in a massive diameter in front of her, completely obliterating a ginormous cavity through the side of the Gas Station, and out through the other side, in such a way you could see clearly through to the other side. The Septima began pacing forward sternly, awakening to a certain repressed feeling in her gate as she walked with a seething anger through the store; though even her angry look appeared without energy at the moment.

And, yup, sure did Shio take her sweet time walking through to the other side. Completely ignoring any peoples reactions inside the place, she swiftly grabbed a bag of potato chips as she walked and burst them open; arriving at the other side of the tunnel she had made for herself in due time. As she got there, she was already munching on a chip, with a lack of care or concern examined the area.

Definitely, the cero had only been aimed in the general direction of whatever the source was. Still, she was just a little curious of what hooligan would cause such a mess. Indeed, what depraved degenerate would commit such damage to the area to vent. What contrived dipstick would dare to create such a fuss? Certainly not her.

Producing an abhorrent amount of screaming from the folks currently within the gas station, each made rather serious notice of the explosion that suddenly manifested in the wall. As the blast cleared in due time, releasing a similar wave of spiritual energy outward, the Espada had made herself known to whatever individual had been causing a bit of problems in the Human World.

After that, another wave of spiritual energy followed thereafter. Though, this one hadn't been something normal. Showing up as a 'pang' of sorts on the girl's energy sensory, before eventually arriving, a bullet traveling at the speed of 600 soared toward the girl's head. Given the heads-up, it was likely going to be somewhat easy to dodge; especially given the shot had been fired from quite a distance away.

Though, something rather insidious from the bullet was soon unveiled. As the bullet slammed into the gas station behind Shio, a red column of superheated reiatsu flared up into the sky, exploding outward like a reddened knife into the sky. One that most individuals would recognize as Kidō #96: Itto Kaso. Though, thankfully it was a much smaller version than the normal technique.

In time, the dust from the attack would eventually clear; the gas station had been utterly annihilated in a matter of seconds. If she hadn't gotten from the way of the attack, she was in for quite the noteworthy burns across her synthetic body. Though, if nothing else, it seemed that there was someone aiming for hostilities around here.

"HELLOOOO KARAKURA TOWN!!"

A heavy, almost raspy voice echoed out, carrying itself much, much further than would normally be possible. It was likely evident that something had been boosting it, but just what had that been? "Pleasure to see this town live! Breathe! Die! How they scream like animals, it's such a wonderful sound~!" Given the recent display, a feeling of almost hellish reiatsu began to exude from the general area; something the girl was likely to be familiar with.

Everything seemed quiet for a few prolonged moments, especially enough time for Shio to savor the deep flavor of her now quickly becoming favorite potato snack. Raising her eyebrow, scanning the area for any sort of signatures, it wasn't until moments later that the Septima felt a sudden ping on her senses. It registered like a drop of water on an otherwise calm lake to her, and she was able to mentally take it into her consideration long before it arrived.

However, there was scarce reaction from the Espada. Almost as though what was about to transpire was inevitable, the darting bullet that soared towards her was simply too fast; Shio knew this, and caught mid-potato-crunch, neither had the energy to worry too much about it. Aside from her furrowed brow in response, the bullet reached her almost as quickly as this simple action, and blasted right through her left lupine ear.

That ear shattered and made a similar clamor of broken glass noise before promptly flying straight into the Gas Station behind her. What followed was an intense series of explosions and chaos; rubble erupted from the ground and debris were being thrown everywhere in the wake of a devastating explosion. All of which, the Septima managed to hold her ground, clutching the now disintegrating bag of potato chips in her hands as it was reduced to ash.

As the eruption ended and rubble began to settle, she had a singular thing to say:

"MY POTATO CHIPS-!!" she exclaimed, fuming and balling her fist to shake at her unknown adversary. "SHOW YOURSELF, BASTARD - and - YOUR HALF-WIT BUMBLING BEEHIVE BEHIND-" Shio inhaled "-YOU'RE ABOUT TO GET BLASTED INTO NEXT WEEK BUDDY!". As the Septima tossed what ash remained of her delicious savoury potato snack to the winds. Clearly, the potato chips were the most devastating loss here.
