The clash of light that flared down below caused momentary flashes of light that strobbed across the womans face. Admist the darkness below, partially lit from the torches that illuminated the training area to bring some subtleness of the shape of the large chamber, watched over by the pair. It didn't come to a surprise that much of the Bounts didn't know how to fight, less than they knew of what their abilities were. Many of them only acted out of instinct to survive, truly never having the time to explore what they were capable of. Either on the run, or keeping their presence as little as possible when in society, what the Bounts have failed to do was join as a single group to explore such depths together in peace. Here, in the Karakura Covenant, they could do just that. All that was needed was time, and someone to push them to what they can aspire to be.

With hopes of the future steadily growing, the anticipation to Luke's thoughts were slowly being brought up to her lips. Words that she wanted to say to reach the conclusion as to where he would apply himself. But before she could a specific piece of information, one that she was searching for, was laid before her. ”I can get you into Soul Society.” The man casual spilled the information that she desperately required for anything to be put into motion. A means to enter Soul Society without the use of a Zanpakutou, or a means to set off the Shinigamis defensive perimeters was monumential. The Bount glanced, a bit shocked that someone like Luke would have such a method. ”Easily as well. The same way I used to travel to Hueco Mundo from time to time. I have a portable gateway, that can take you directly into the heart of the Seireitei. I don’t mind giving it to you once everything is ready."

What the Bounts have been searching for this entire time was beside them. Not only a gateway, but a secured pathway into the heart of the Seireitei. Aura had to ponder, thinking twice if not thrice, about how the make use of the information. The costs of an invasion. The lives that would be sacrificed. The total tallied within acceptable areas, taking much of the stress of worrying about what would befall the Bounts once it was successful. Yes, successful. It had to be. Honestly, Aura couldn't find the words to put together to respond properly to what Luke gave her. This was what changed the entire approach of how they can obtain the data that they sought out. There was a lot to do with this in Auras hands, and she needed to speak to Eris immediately about how to go about this.

What went on in Auras mind completely went into overdrive to say the least, picking at the details and what she had already under her services, yet, Luke spoke up again to add on to what Aura had already thought of before. "But you don’t need me to tell you that none of you are ready to enter Soul Society. Even with my power, I’d be hard-pressed to fight more than two Captains. That was three years ago too. I have no idea what the Gotei Thirteen looks like right now. The point is, you’re not ready yet. The Bount aren’t ready to do this. Not yet.”

Yes. This was the detail that loomed over Aura indefinitely.

The Bount weren't ready.

Yet.

"Yes. This fact is something I am well aware of as aside from myself and a few others here, we are not ready to step into the Seireitei. Much less a tactical group." It was disparging, but truthful. They weren't ready for the coming storm that was going to either break the Bount, or help them ascend. Regardless, it had to be done. ”But I can help get them ready.” Luke took the words out of her mouth, so to speak. The point that which Aura was going to make was the assistance that he could provide with the Bounts in training. Looking down, watching over those that mingled aggressively with each other, Aura could see how sloppy they were. They pranched around like children taking their first steps, hoping to run when they haven't walked. A few showed promise, more or less whom were going to be participants in the coming mission, but not all. With Lukes aid, the Bounts had a stronger chance.

Explaining his own experiences made Luke all the more reliable in cases of aggressive negotiations, proving his strength through the intensity of his reiatsu from earlier. It was sharper, filled with purpose as it was controlled to achieve a particular goal in mind. This was experience that the other reiatsus below lacked, including her own. Aura wasn't all that battle oriented, taking much of her capabilities to the level of above average. Being someone who needed to lead, much of her time was occupied with management and guiding. The Bount sighed, but didnt lose face from it all. "We will require it greatly, Mr. Clyburn. Yet, I still have to ask this..... Aura peeked at her side once more towards Luke, neutral in expression, "Why help us? Truly." Despite it all, Aura didn't want to acknowledge the past, of what she was back then. It was no longer her.

"You speak of helping the people, helping the Bounts, but truly why? I can not help but sense there is more to it than that, considering what you are offering is well beyond what I can compensate for."

It was a thought that crossed Auras mind that she couldn't shake off. Why? That was the question that came out due to the transaction that was currently underway. Sure, Aura was providing a living quarters, food, information, a safe haven, yet she also knew that Luke could obtain of prior with ease. His skills. His knowledge. Much of all could earn himself more than what needed without the use of the Covenant or anyone else. Beyond those thoughts, what Luke was offering was going to change everything that the Bount were, and what would go about for Karakura. So, the question remained, why?

"This is something that I believe I can not move forward with until this question is answered. I say this because this, what we will do, will change all that we know, and what we can do for the Bount. Your actions will change the course of many lives that reside here, and for those that will come."

It was vexing. Why was it so? Why did the ideas that now come over herself made her feel anxious? Amber eyes were met with deep crimson, awaiting what would come next with these answers.

It was such a simple and reasonable question, yet it still managed to catch Luke by surprise briefly. The intense look he’d been giving her a moment prior was snuffed out and replaced by one of surprise. She was suspicious of his intentions if her following sentence was anything to go by. Luke blinked as he eyed her, listening to her words and trying to come to understand what she was feeling. The man looked at the crimson-eyed beauty as she finished what she had to say and blinked. Maybe Aura was a bit right to feel suspicious of him. Luke had just returned to her life after three years of absence and was readily willing to hand over the very thing she’d been searching for for so long. Miracles like that didn’t just happen.
What’s more, to add to it, Luke hadn’t asked for an arm or a leg. Hell, he didn’t even ask for much. It might make more sense if Luke had some perverted transaction in mind.

He shrugged it off and smiled at her. ”You’re overthinking it. Do I really need a complex reason to help someone?” he asked with a smile and a chuckle, shaking his head. Luke fixed his stance and turned around, resting his hands on the railing and leaning on them. ”You need my help. It’s that simple. I’ve done a lot of wrong by you and see this as an opportunity to try and repair the bridge between us that I went and burned. I’d like to believe I’m not as selfish as I used to be.” Luke answered with a shrug as he looked down at the training grounds, watching the other Bounts training, utterly unaware of the two watching them.

Luke’s expression became downcast as he thought about the words he wanted to say. ”I abandoned you once before, and I can’t live with that. I know, I know, what you’re about to say. That ‘that Aura is gone’ or somethin’, I’m sure. That might be the case for you, but you’re still you to me. Now, here we are, years later, and I’m again in a position where I can help you.” he spoke, staring ahead into nothingness as he did before turning his head towards her and smiling softly. ”I’m not going to make the same mistake twice. You need my help. That’s all there is to it. Even if you kick, scream, and pout, I ain’t going anywhere. We’re partners now.” Luke expressed, graduating their relationship from the previous teacher and student that had failed horribly.

Pushing himself upright, Luke turned to face her. Despite how old she was and how she carried herself, Luke had one thing he needed to do. Without warning, he reached out his hand and placed it on her head. He rubbed her head from the left to the right and smiled warmly at her. ”I’m really proud of you, Aura. You’ve done all this and come so far. You’re really amazing.” It felt like a weight lifted from Luke’s chest as he pulled his hand back and smirked at her. ”Satisfied? So, what comes next?”

”You need my help. It’s that simple. I’ve done a lot of wrong by you and see this as an opportunity to try and repair the bridge between us that I went and burned. I’d like to believe I’m not as selfish as I used to be.” That was the reason for what led to the events that were taking place now. A bound that was broken, severed by the very hands that the man was planning to use to reconnect. A means of repair by the success of what is to come for their kind; for the Bount. Mending the damage that was done was to take time, perhaps beyond what normal humans would be capable of living to fulfill. All that was said. All that was done. What was left undone. Was there a method of repairing it all? Who is he fooling? That was right. It was not truly for her, but for the Bount. What was there between Luke and Aura-

-it was gone.

"You truly are an imbecile. There is no bridge to repair if there was not one to begin with." Aura said sharply, responding back to what Luke had referred to as a past between them. There were moments in time that there was something. A happy girl with her friends, learning, living. Sure, the problems were overwhelming at times, and painful. Locked away in a cage at night to howl against the steel walls that kept her from hurting anyone, trapped with the burning sensation to feed and kill. A monster that Soul Society created to serve but a single specific task. The Bount that she was now could retell those tales of the girl that once lived by the memories that the Mod Soul and Luke had of her. She could understand the pain that was there. And it still lingered. What this was done for wasn't for her, but for the people.

Aura kept her words locked for the time being as Luke spoke, pushing aside the response she gave as to further express his change, and what his intentions were. Despite the words she used, Luke would still be there, for her. An assortment of emotions swelled inside the Bount. A sharp sting in her chest that was followed shortly with a fluttering of warmth. Both stirred around the other, rising up for control that made the girl all the more contempt at what Luke was standing for this time around. It was sickening, yet pleasing. All the more pressed when she felt the hand that she couldn't see, nor didn't perceive until it was placed on her head. ”I’m really proud of you, Aura. You’ve done all this and come so far. You’re really amazing.” A sense of nostalgia was there, almost as if they met for the first time, or maybe...

..something she always wanted.

Even as a proud Bount, a Covenant leader, a single tear couldn't be held back from her the corner of her eye. The girl didn't snuffle or give out a sorrowful, or pleased expression. She stood there beneath the hands warmth mute with but a single tear that fell from the outer corner of her eye. It rolled down the womans cheek, carrying with it the emotions that couldn't be gated off, having to be expelled in some way out into the world. As to what came next, "She would have loved this. That girl years ago.. to be under this hand with such glee and tenderness. How long would she have waited for it." Aura spoke with a soft tone in her voice, almost jealous as she was saddened. "Just once.." But-

-Aura swayed her own hand to brush Lukes away from her head.

"That time is gone, and buried Mr. Clyburn." Aura returned to her prior tone. "We are partners, and nothing more. Although, it is swell to hear that you are motivated to assisting the Bount, so what comes next is informing our other cells as to what will be our next course of action, including our strategist." Turning on her heel the woman began ascending the stairs once more, leaving the sights of the training grounds behind the pair. "Eris will be notified about the new developments in terms of accessing Soul Society so she may develop a means of operating. And while she does so, our other cells will gather the resources required to move about from a point of safety into the enemy stronghold, and return." The explaination went on, moving from a safe house to soul society and a return trip. There were a lot of details that were needed to go over in which Eris was the best individual among them to sort out into a plan. But more was needed. "Nadia, send word to Eris about the new developments."

A shadow climbed, rising up from the top of the staircase before sinking back into the abyss, with only the head of the School girl revealing itself, "Yes ma'am hehe. I'll let her know." Aura added another note to make full use of the added units that were procured during their recent operations, ushering the expanded influence that the Covenant possessed, "Inform the Sanguine Syndicate as well that their new Master has a job for them. Let them know that I will be meeting with them shortly." the Bount continued to speak, seeing the shadow dissipate, and vanish. Everything had its place and use, and now they were moving once more. It was going to take time, and everyone had to be at their best with all things at the ready. "Now, we need to be ready ourselves. I will go and speak to other members of the Covenant, so that they will be included in your training." the Bount turned back to glance at Luke, informing what other duties that were coming to his direction. Things were going to be busy for them.

"Once you have recuperated, we will begin training, so have all that you require at the ready for such time before then."

A lot was happening at once, and once it did there was no stopping the gears from running at full speed. The Bount, and Aura had to be at their best; including Luke. For that reason- "I will need you well rested, and at your best too. So, take what you need to be as such." The creamy like texture of the womans skin was exposed from the collar of her dress, ringing it freely from the cloth that concealed it as she approached the man. A gesture that only among their kind would know all too well of its meaning, baring her neck to him. Her eyes didn't flutter nor hesitate in what she was implying for Luke to do. She needed him ready, and that was all.

Luke watched as that tear escaped her stern expression and fell down her cheek. His eyes followed it before his amber hues returned to being locked with her crimson orbs. He didn’t resist her swatting his hand away. He was more left wondering if he had done something wrong. The tone in her soft voice made him a little worried that maybe his honesty and sincerity had bothered her. But one thing was for sure. He affected her. His words and actions had chipped away at her cold armor and managed to strike her heart true. Luke had gotten a genuine reaction out of her. That was fine for now. Luke didn’t need to push it anymore. Repairing their relationship wasn’t something that could be done overnight. Luke had done a lot wrong by her, after all. It would take time. One brick at a time. Aura may have wanted to dispel the idea that there was ever a bridge, but Luke didn’t see it that way. He had all the time in the world to slowly make things right.

The words she had to say to him only drove that nail he felt in deeper. He wished he could go back and change the past. So many decisions he made that he wished he could go back and do-over. But that was life. A series of regretful choices. Looking at her, as he rubbed her head, he saw the same girl he knew all those years ago looking back at him. It didn’t matter how much she changed her appearance. How curvy she got, how long she grew her hair, how pointy her ears became, Aura would always be Aura to him. Luke exhaled out of his nose, slightly accepting the results for what they were. He didn’t follow behind Aura as she turned away and began talking, planning, and scheming. She mentioned Eris’s name, which caught his attention. So she was still around as well, huh?

”Would you stop calling me “Mr. Clyburn,” by the way? Luke is just fine. I’m not my dad.” he whined, scratching the back of his head. At Aura’s command, Nadia, the girl who resembled a schoolgirl, manifested from the shadows. Had she been watching them the entire time? Luke frowned a little. He hadn’t wanted an audience for his personal moment with Aura. But whatever. This was her house and her rules. With how many times Eris’s name was brought up, it dawned on Luke that she might have been a big player in Aura’s coven now. I wonder if she’s changed at all. Luke thought to himself, remembering the Bount he would describe as an ice queen and how their last conversation had gone. Luke cringed a little bit.

Aura then mentioned a name he didn’t recognize. The Sanguine Syndicate. What was that? Luke blinked, confused. That was something he was going to need to inquire about later. It stood to reason that there would undoubtedly be new players in town after being gone for three years. Luke also realized that Aura hadn’t even asked him where he had been all this time. Story for another time then. he concluded as he rested his hands in his pockets and simply listened to Aura's plan. Finally, she started talking to him again, turning to face him as she brought up the subject of a training program. So that’s what she wanted him to help with after all.

Recuperated? Had she recognized that Luke wasn’t at one hundred percent just yet? Luke looked at her as she approached him, wondering how much she knew before he noticed she was removing some of the clothing covering her shoulder. "I will need you well rested, and at your best too. So, take what you need to be as such." She stood before him with her shoulder bare and neck exposed. It took Luke a moment to realize what she was implying with her words and the gesture, and it caused him to stumble a bit. She wanted him to feed on her? Like, bite her and everything. Luke looked at her neckline and gulped a little bit. ”Hey now..” Luke started to say, intending to reject her offer but then paused.

Aura was right. He needed to rejuvenate himself. He could still feel that his Dolls were formlessly regenerating in the furthest reaches of his soul. Luke hadn’t fed since he had awoken and was starting to feel the effects—minor bouts of lethargy, slight tremors in his hand, and spells of exhaustion. There were worse symptoms that would come if he refrained from feeding. But there was an issue. One that Aura would come to understand if she ever reached the level of strength that Luke possessed. Simply sucking down a soul wasn’t enough for him anymore. Especially not when he had his Dolls recovery to take into account. Luke’s hunger could only be satiated with more substantial and robust souls. Hence, he didn’t outright reject Aura this time. He was considering it. She was powerful, more potent than most, and she willingly offered herself a meal for him.

”I’m not saying no, but feeding on someone that’s alive is…” Luke started to say, looking away to avoid her eyes as he felt a tinge of embarrassment, ”a bit more intimate to me than just feeding on an already dead soul.” Luke explained before sighing. He looked at Aura again, leaned his head to the side, and lowered his eyelids slightly. He took a step towards her. ”But you’re right. You need me at my best. I wasn’t even aware our kind could do this to one another.” he said with a low voice as he closed the distance between them. Luke would view this as necessary and even as a sort of binding agreement between the two. He brought his face close to her neck and paused. ”You’ll understand once you reach my level… but I recommend you lie down after this, Aura. And I’m also sorry if my hands get… grabby.” Luke said in almost a whisper.

He slid his right hand around her waistline and against the small of her back. With his left, he rested behind her shoulder. He exhaled against the skin of her neck before peeling his lips back across his teeth as his incisors lengthened slightly and sharpened with the activation of Futter. Luke exhaled from his mouth before slowly biting Aura’s neck. His teeth came all the way down, jaw locking and lips touching her skin, and he drank. It’s difficult to describe the taste of something so different. There wasn’t any food or drink that could compare to what he tasted. With Shizuka, what Luke had tasted when he fed on her was such an overpowering and rich flavor of energy that threatened to leave him addicted. Aura, on the other hand, had a different taste. Her blood flowed from the wound he made and passed across his tongue. It wasn’t the blood Luke was after, but the energy that blood acted as a conduit for—her reiatsu and soul itself.

Aura tasted immensely different from Shizuka. She had an entirely different kind of flavor. Whereas Shizuka had been wholly and completely Shizuka, Luke realized that Aura had mixed within her the various souls that she had also fed on throughout her life. ”Mmm.” Luke grunted a bit before it happened. His left hand would find itself between her shoulder blades, pulling her closer to him, separating any space left, and pressing their bodies tightly together. Aura would have been able to feel Luke’s heart begin beating faster and faster as he drank from her, alongside the feeling of exhaustion that grew more and more as he took from her. Luke was losing himself a bit to her. His own hunger, mixed with the ravenousness of the three other regenerating entities inside of him, split what he was drinking into four different streams going to four different “stomachs.” He had to feed not just himself but three gluttonous problem children as well.

Luke grunted as he bit down harder on Aura, digging his fingers into her back more as his breathing became heavier. He opened his eyelids a teensy bit, those amber hues glowing brightly in the dim light, before widening further and pulling himself back together. He stopped the feeding and delicately opened his mouth, removing his teeth from her skin. He took a few slow and heavy breaths as he looked down at the bite mark he had left on her neck. Oh… he thought to himself as he realized it, right. That’s my switch.

He gulped as he peered at Aura from the side of his eyes. His face was hot. Incredibly hot. It was probably beet red as well. His heart was beating loudly and quickly. His eyes studied Aura’s facial features with acute accuracy. Especially her lips. He had a hungry look in his eyes as he studied her. He exhaled a bit through his lips before wetting them with his tongue as temptations and thoughts began to bubble to the front of his mind. What if’s so to say. Especially with how close Luke had pulled her. He could feel her warm body pressed against him and wondered what she might look like under those clothes. Because, at this moment, Luke was feeling incredibly restrained in his own. He gulped before releasing his rather tight grip on her body and taking a painful step away.

He wiped away some of the blood around his mouth and had to stop looking at her. ”I took… a lot from you just now. So, yeah, you should go lie down. You have your stuff to do, and I have my stuff to do..” Luke managed to say. He needed to leave before he went and took this further than he intended to. A cold shower. Yeah, he needed a cold shower. A very, very cold shower. ”I need to go get that… thing… we were talking about, yeah, and you have your planning to do. Just call me when you need me. I’ll be in the city for now.” Luke said, making eye contact with her again. ”Thank you for the meal.” he said one more time before turning and walking away from her, face still red and heart still beating a million miles a second. He merged with the shadows and quickly slipped away before Aura could stop him because god help her if she did right now.

There wasn't a need to think about what was asked of Luke to do. The reasoning behind it all was simply to bolster himself to the average strength that the man had when they last met. Unkept hair. The clothes that he wore were worn out. Despite the best efforts to conceal it what had occurr over the past three years had done something to him to make him so. Aura didn't ask about what had happened to him. A part of her did, wanting to learn what he went through, to be that person who would understand him and welcome him home with open arms. A part of her wanted to be that girl once again, and redo it all from the beginning. But, what was done couldn't be forgotten. It was what killed Aura years ago. ”Do you think that our lives are just a game? Do you not realize the target you just put on your backs? If I could sense every Bount in this bunker a mile away before we even arrived what makes you think Soul Society isn’t going to find this place? You’re not hiding at all. You have normal humans here. This place isn’t going to be a secret for long at all.”

”Do you know what the difference between us is? And I don’t mean any kiddy like I’m a boy and you’re a girl. The difference between us is that, unlike me, you don’t have the right to go giving our cursed race hope. If the Soul Society or Vandenreich comes...then what? You’ll stand on the frontlines and get cut down just like every other Bount in this place because you’re weak.”

”But you’re right. We don’t agree and probably never will. We won’t ever agree because I refuse to accept the delusions of someone who hasn’t experienced what’s waiting in that city. It’s funny how someone so old is so willing to ignore history and just let it repeat itself.”

”Yeah, there just might be a fight between us. At least you’re starting to accept the fact that someone, at some point, is going to come for you. It’s pretty telling that you’ve already convinced yourself that you’re going to lose, to. But it won't be a fight I start. If you and yours behave I won't have a reason to do anything about you.”[/b]

Words that the Bount can recall, past memories of the girl who didn't want to see, blinding herself to the facts that she was weak, and will always be weak. She had to shed away what she clung to... what built her up. Is that all? No, it wasn't. Even as the man understood and motioned closer, Aura's thoughts were trained on the past. Hearing his words as if they were said yesterday. It couldn't be shaken away. Everything became brittle that night. Luke vanished. Taka vanished. People that she had bonds with went away, tearing at what made her who she was. She felt empty. All that remained was what Eris told her. Her words were what Aura clung to. It made her march onwards to what was being done. A Bount wasn't a Human. It was nothing more than a monster that had a Human appearance.

All she had was her Covenant.

All she had was to be that monster.

And a monster cared not for anything else but what it wanted.

So Aura had to shed away what Humanity she had.

Aura's hands clamped down on the man's cheeks, keeping the connection of their gaze on each other. Despite his embarassment the woman didn't pry away. She knew what had to be done, and was committed to it. ”I’m not saying no, but feeding on someone that’s alive is a bit more intimate to me than just feeding on an already dead soul. But you’re right. You need me at my best. I wasn’t even aware our kind could do this to one another.” Aura blinked for a moment. "Just do it." she said sternly, only to be embraced by the warmth of another body. The warmth that only another body could bring. It was warm for the moment. Yet, it became cold. Like a chill that glossed over the warmth that she knew that should linger from the physical touch. Was it because it was him. Aura didn't know. All she knew was the next moment make her nerves flare, and her breath expelled with hot air.

A flush of reiatsu and blood could be felt, curling her toes as it was transmitted from one Bount to another. A gasp of pain, blended with the excitement that could only be known for those who have experienced it. She was trapped, coiled around by the beast that sought out her reiatsu, partaking a part of her spirit in its grasp. Auras breasts panted slowly, then quickly against Lukes chest. Rising and reclining back and forth against his frame, to feel the same excitement and arousal that they knew from such embrace. Her arms didn't resist, nor did they brace themselves. Aura cradled the mans head, cressing the feathery locks of hair as though to coddle a child. Her back bent slightly to an arch as more reiatsu was taken. His lips tightened, instinctively pulling small strands of hair as it happened. It was hot, flowing down the nape of her neck the thin stream of blood that fell down from the puncture of her neck, and down her corset.

"Agh~" she gasped softly, weakened, almost whelping with mixed emotions.

A shivering body was all that be felt beneath his fingertips, laced with the beads of sweat that were forming across bare skin from the excessive heat. The same heat that desired a bite, to partake in the same manner that Luke had done. She wanted to mark him all across his body, yet only taken back to her senses when the fangs left her, and two shared the similar flushed cover cheeks when facing the other. One animal to another. One beast to another beast. The carnal desire that wanted to be satiated. Her beating chest syncing with his. Logic losing to instinct. Her knees buckled, caving in when his hold of her was lost. And eyes drawn to the ground being unable to lift her head immediately after her fall. It was done.

”I took… a lot from you just now. So, yeah, you should go lie down. You have your stuff to do, and I have my stuff to do..I need to go get that… thing… we were talking about, yeah, and you have your planning to do. Just call me when you need me. I’ll be in the city for now.” Luke spoke, with much of his words falling on deaf ears with Aura recovering her strength. Sanity returned to her and with it her logic that was already moving on the next train of thoughts. It didn't take another moment before Aura lifted her gaze to see Luke vanishing into the shadows, and his presence fleeing the scene. "Mistress!" Another Bount came, finding Aura climbing slowly to her feet. Immediately, Aura silenced the woman, with palm facing towards her. "Do not worry. Everything is going as it should." A declaration was made to put the womans mind at ease, and with it a another that Aura required. "Bring me the few Humans who are causing a ruckus in the upper levels. They will out of the publics eye for a few days."

The Bount was hungry and with a need to replenish what was lost. The club didn't lack for a few troublemakers that came on a nightly basis, and were the easiest to feed on. Exactly what Aura needed right now.
