I Won't See You Tonight, pt. 1 [Resurrección Training]

Walking back to her corridors after her little excursion against Nuala. Humming softly to herself, she couldn't help but smile the whole way back. She'd done quite well to put that woman in her place; especially while she was trying to test out the explosive power behind her Cero! The nerve of some people... She really couldn't believe that something like that happened. But, c'est la vie. There was no sense in worrying about it now, while she had the opportunity to just head home.

Upon arriving to her floor, she threw herself onto one of the large beds there, utterly spent. She'd been through quite a lot, recently; that made itself apparent. And, this was no different naturally. More than anything else, she would've enjoyed simply drifting off to sleep, which thankfully didn't take very long for the girl to reach. Though, this sleep was going to prove to be anything but normal.

Waking up almost immediately after, Camila found herself in her Inner World. Though, something felt... different. Like it had been the original one she found herself in all those years ago. Looking at herself, she smiled softly, coming to the realization that she hadn't been in a damned dress for once. No, instead she took up what looked to be similar to that of a suit. It was certainly a nice change of pace, especially given what she'd elected to wear outside of her Inner World. But, focusing on her outfit wasn't exactly the goal here. Instead, she took the opportunity to look around.

"Hey!" She called out, "Albin, you here?" Her words were met with a short amount of silence. Sighing to herself, it seemed that the same was mostly the case. Albin had been nowhere to be found. At least, for the moment. It seemed that there was quite the surprise brewing for her, and prepared to launch at any minute. Something that sent a chill down her spine.

Letting out a soft breath, Camila took the opportunity to look around. If nothing else, she wanted to find the man in her inner world; especially after everything had changed once again. It was getting rather annoying, with his constant alterations of her abilities. She'd need to do something about that; perhaps through taking the opportunity to actually deal with the man for once.

"Camila," a voice called out behind her, "it's been awhile." This prompted the girl to immediately turn her head, and stare on with a knife's glare in her eyes. "Drink, Kyūketsuki." Releasing her Shikai, Camila immediately pointed a claw to the man in front of her; she wasn't going to deal with his shit.

And, it seemed that he wasn't going to be doing the same either. No, it seemed that he was fully prepared to go on the offensive as well! Pulling his own hand close to the ground, before raking up, Camila took the opportunity to back up from the incoming strike. "Don't think for a moment I've forgotten what you did. How you condemned me. Think you're better than me?"

Taking up a stance of her own, Camila squinted toward Albin. "I do, yeah," she started, "I wouldn't be the one standing here with these powerful boons if it weren't for the fact that I am better than you." With that, the hollow chuckled quite a bit. "That so? Well, I've grown a good deal, myself. If you think that I'm going down without unleashing a power of my own against you, then you've got another thing coming, girl."

Smirking at the response, Camila nodded her head. "If you think that I'm going to sit down and just let you attack me, let you vie for control, then you've got another thing coming, you piece of shit." Spitting on the ground in front of her, Camila did what she could to make her point clear on the matter. Truth be told, it was something that made the girl feel quite passionate.

Rushing forward at her Speed, Camila kept low to the ground, ducking below Albin's own height in order to deliver a strike of her own as hard as she could against the man; a rake across his chest, poised to shred through his own flesh. Though, it seemed that he'd be a little better than to let himself be caught with something like that; throwing up his palm, Albin blocked the incoming blow.

"Come now, Camila!" He shouted back, "you're going to have to try much harder than that to deal with me!" Grabbing her wrist and twisting it, Albin planned to flip the girl with his grip, before delivering a powerful punch with his bladed claws against her ribcage. Similarly, the girl had been prepared for such a strike, tucking her forearms down and crunching herself up in order to block the incoming strike.

With a grunt as she was sent a little higher into the air, Camila made notice of her opponent now rising to her height, presumably through some kind of jump. As Albin himself spun in the air, pulling his left leg up, and around, he sought to deliver another attack on the girl, kicking directly into her waist with his full force. A strike that could've easily put someone down in an instant, given the force it had been coming in at.

Though, she certainly wasn't going to find herself defeated with such ease. Activating one of her techniques, Camila split into a swarm of bats, flying past Albin, and biting into him with a hundred little nicks all at once. While certainly not enough to deal strong amounts of damage to the Hollow, it was enough to provide a momentary distraction for the girl's real strike; a downward kick to the head, shortly after she reformed.

As her foot touched against the Hollow's head, Camila scoffed. Just as quickly as she'd vanished, he had done something similar, splitting into a cloud of red mist where he stood as her foot trailed down, leading her back down to the ground. Landing and rebounding backward, Camila assumed another fighting stance, bouncing on her feet, as mist reformed back into the Hollow she'd needed to face.

Squinting her eyes, Camila sighed. "I see you've gotten a hang of my new powers, aye?" She smirked, "you got everything all figured out? Know how to do all the fancy stuff as well?" She laughed. "I suppose you could say that," he spoke, taking up a very similar stance, "though, the question remains; are these truly your powers? Or are they my own, primed for when I finally steal your body back, girl?"

Grunting in frustration as she sprinted forward, Camila did what she could to close the distance. Even if Albin was to be prepared for such a movement, swiping down toward the girl's head as she closed in, Camila took the opportunity to make use of Bloodstained Dance; shifting on her heels, and gliding along the ground, she maneuvered from the incoming blow.

Repositioning behind him, Camila went for a punch against the Hollow's back, primed directly toward his spine. Though, as expected, it hadn't gone as well as she had hoped; he took the hit in stride, seemingly immune to the incoming damage of the attack. This bastard had flexed against her! Gods, that was so damned frustrating! Pulling back from her attack, before delivering another in her anger, Camila let out a shout before slamming both fists into him at the same time, in a vertical formation.

Once again, it seemed to do nothing, prompting a distinct chuckling from the man in front of her. There was no way he could just take hits like this! Taking a hop back as he threw his foot back, looking to strike her back for her attacks, Camila sighed. This was going to prove far more annoying than she otherwise wanted to deal with at the moment, wasn't it?

"Give it up, sweetheart," He spoke, turning around before throwing his hands out to his sides, "your attacks ain't gonna do shit against me. I'm you, but far better." Those words did nothing more than piss the girl off more than she could even begin to fathom. She needed to do something against him; she felt like she needed to scream.

She couldn't risk holding herself back any further; "BANKAI: SHINKETSU SOSEN!" As both individuals called out as much as they could, releasing an explosive amount of spiritual force in the process, Camila and Albin promptly enacted their spiritual power upon the girl's inner world. Within a moment, their Bankai had been released, prompting both to stand tall, taking up an offensive stance once more in order to face each other down.

With a flash in both their eyes, both Camila and Albin immediately began to see the world as notably slower than it was before. Blasting toward one another with Shunpō, both Vizard and Hollow slammed their forearms into one another, clashing metal against metal as their arms collided in a flash of sparks. Pressing their strength into one another as hard as they could, aiming to overpower one another, they both eventually took a leap backward before seeing that it wasn't going to affect one another.

Disappearing in a swarm of bats, Albin took the opportunity to fly toward the girl, reforming just before her in a low stance before swiping his claws up toward the girl's abdomen, as both tended to do quite a bit. Grabbing his arm as Albin slashed against him, Camila gripped tightly before throwing the Hollow into the ground over her, blasting his back against the hard floor.

At least, that was the plan; as expected, the Hollow separated into a red mist once more, before reforming above the girl. Throwing down another axe kick toward her head, Camila was one step ahead; smashing her fist into his knee this time around, she retaliated in the best way she knew how; with violence. And, for once? Her attack had actually landed! As bone snapped, twisting the Hollow's leg in a way it very much should not have, Camila watched on as he seemed to react very little.

Such was to be expected from someone with a pain tolerance like her own. Though, it was nothing else if not frustrating. As he rebounded, balancing himself rather perfectly on one foot, Camila watched on as his leg bent itself back into place with a furious 'crack'. If she hadn't been so used to it, something like that would've sent a shiver down her spine.

Though, there was no time to worry about something like that! She needed to act; she needed to act now, while he was still recovering. Blitzing forward once more, looking to slam into the Hollow with her shoulder, Camila took advantage of the fact that he needed to heal his leg in order to bash him as hard as she could. She couldn't quite miss an opportunity like that.

Throwing him to the ground, Camila positioned herself on top of him, before slamming fist after fist after fist into the Hollow's face. Seeing only red, Camila was ready to leave no respite for the damned Hollow. Though, something caught her off-guard rather quickly; atop his face after she took a moment to breathe, a hollow mask had rested, seemingly protecting the man from incoming blows.

Jumping off of him, Camila threw a hand in front of her face as well, prepared to face the demon before her. Though, one thing made itself rather clear; the mask that the two had worn were distinctly different from one another. Instead of bearing the same batlike mask that the girl had worn, Albin had something a little more... avian in front of him.

Squinting her eyes, Camila took up an aggressive stance, staring down the man. He did the same. "Interesting little mask you've got there, Albin," she spoke, "mind tellin' me where the fuck it comes from?" Such provoked a chuckle from the inner hollow. It seemed that there was something that he was aware of, while she wasn't. Though, it didn't seem he was going to speak on the matter any time soon. Not at the moment, at least.

Instead, he simply took the opportunity to rush her, blasting forward at tremendous speeds; easily twice what he was originally moving at. Thankfully however she was also bolstered in a similar fashion; she wasn't going to let this asshole blindside her any more. She couldn't reasonably let that happen! As he went in for a swipe against her, she met his grip with the same force, causing a physical and spiritual blast to rocket from the both of them.

As this blast outward made itself apparent, Albin went in for another attack against the girl; a sweeping blow with his ankle, threatening to trip her. Utilizing her acrobatic nature, Camila jumped up, before delivering a similar blow against the side of his head. As her foot slammed into him, the girl let out a soft gasp; it seemed that he'd raised his arm in order to block the incoming strike. He'd been getting better. If nothing else, that was proving to be quite the worry. Though, she wasn't going to let it stop her.

Bounding off of the Hollow's forearm, landing on the ground, and looking to slice at his midriff with her claws, Camila saw clearly that her strike practically bounced off of his abs. Seemed the bastard was flexing! Pulling back as he went in for a strike against her, Camila watched carefully as Albin kept a low stance, closing the distance once more before pivoting around her. He'd used her techniques against her!

As he made his way around her, faster than she could keep up with, Camila did what she could to turn herself to face him before being met with his foot slammed against her midriff. Sliding backward from the overwhelming force behind the strike, Camila gritted her teeth. He was proving to be quite the annoying bastard through this all, that was for certain.

Though, she wasn't going to give up hope quite yet. As he once again blasted forward toward her, Camila let out a deafening shriek; one that carried her own reiatsu capabilities through the air, tearing through the fabric of her inner world with relative ease and dishing out quite the potent shockwave across the Hollow's body. He'd been practically stunned, kept in midair as he sought to power through the blast.

It seemed the two had broken even.

As the screech came to a halt, and as Albin had hit the ground, he got right back up. Albeit, looking a little worse for wear, but such could easily be said about Camila. Both were a little more than halfway out of their stamina reserves by this point, but the drive to keep going persisted; both had sought to tear the other apart. To gain full and total control over the host body.

Continuing on with his plans, Albin once again closed the distance between himself and Camila, raking upward across the girl's body with his claws. Such had been done quickly enough and with just enough force to pierce the girl's defenses, ripping her mask directly off of her face in the process. As the chitinous material shattered, and as Albin's arm had flown upward, Camila retaliated.

Slamming her head into Albin's own face, smashing her forehead into the Hollow's mask, she followed through with the same step to break his own power. As the mask crumbled, both their foreheads now covered in blood and shards of bone from the mask fragments, they took a step back from one another with a distinct huff. Both their breathing had picked up rather significantly, and neither had the spiritual nor physical room to keep this fight going for much longer. A final option was needed; one that they both came to at the same time.

As both held their hands outstretched, hunched over, both took a deep breath, charging their own reiatsu, before unleashing a bloodcurdling scream; "KURAYAMI: SŌDAINA KOKŪ TAIHŌ!!" As their screams echoed through the ballroom, absolutely absurdly-sized blasts echoed out in front of them, tearing through the space in front of them. Both blasts clashed once more, releasing an absurd amount of spiritual energy over the battlefield. They'd been effectively at a stalemate, unable to defeat one another. Though, Albin had quite the plan.

Following through with another scream as the two struggled to overpower one another, the Hollow cried out, "DEVOUR, SOMBRE DOBLE!!" As he did, his own spiritual pressure burst forth, exploding outward in a powerful display not unlike that of an Arrancar's Resurrección. In fact, that was exactly what this was! Just where had he picked up something like that!? Gritting her teeth, Camila did what she could in order to continue with the efforts to win this beam struggle.

Though, things weren't exactly working out. With each passing moment, Albin's own laser threatened to overpower the girl. Moment after moment that passed, her own laser grew smaller and smaller, unable to overcome the blast that had been directed toward her. Without a powerful display of her own, she wasn't going to survive this. Though, she still hung on. She knew full-well that she couldn't let herself fall. Not here, not now. And, never against this hollowfied asshole, after the years of torment that she'd been put through on his behalf!!

"DEVOUR, SOMBRE DOBLE!!"

Calling out the same phrase he did not a moment before, Camila found herself enveloped in a new spiritual signature; one that she herself hadn't been familiar with. Tapping into newfound potential, the girl's own body shifted and exploded, before reforming itself in the same chitinous material that had been frequent for hollow masks. Within a short moment thereafter, Camila had entered Resurrección for the first time.

She couldn't quite explain it, but it felt powerful; intoxicating. Like something that she wanted desperately to get used to, and something she was going to grow used to. This was too good to pass up! And, as she maintained this transformation, it seemed that her own blast had, at the very least begun to repel Albin's own. She'd been able to defend herself for a time.

Though, it wouldn't be enough to overpower him. In time, both blasts exploded, releasing more spiritual energy than either of the two could keep up with. Both were sent flying to opposite ends of the ballroom, huffing and in serious pain. Neither had the energy to keep fighting. "D-Damn you..." Camila spat, "w-why can't I beat you..!?" Groaning in pain, Albin simply chuckled.

"B-believe me," he started, "I s-sought to do the same. Seems... we're both on an equal playing field... aye?" Camila chuckled softly, upset but clearly unable to keep this whole thing going for much longer. It truly seemed they were equal. Sighing softly, she tried her very hardest to keep her eyes open. She tried so very hard to keep awake, so she could claim victory over this damned hollow.

Though, it seemed that wasn't in the cards. Within a few short moments, both combatants faded into unconsciousness, a victor left undecided, but latent potential tapped into. The battle was lost, but the war had been won.
