This is a temporary repository for any custom items made for Squad 4 until such a time that a new Captain or a ranking member of Squad 4 wants to make their own storefront for the squad, at which point this can be replaced. Please feel free to poke me if you have items you wish to add to this page, or wish to take over the page.
{Kanashibari v2.0}Name: Kanashibari v. 2.0
Description: A handheld device which is designed to be light and very portable, while being relatively sturdy. Created to be used by the 4th Division.
Kanashibari refers to the phenomenon of sleep paralysis. This little doodad was designed for the 4th Division, to prevent multiple on-field deaths. It is version 2.0, because it was the successful modification of a failed original. Below is a breakdown of how it works, and its schematic design.
The most important part of the Kanashibari is its functional resource, the Katsuishi. The Katsuishi (living stone) is a synthetic material crafted by the 12th Division, that grows when reiatsu is fed into it, as it is made of condensed, solidified reiatsu. As such, there is no fear of running out of Katsuishi, as long as one has reiatsu. But just in the case of extreme circumstances, an extra supply of Katsuishi is affixed at the very head of the Kanashibari, which also serves as an indicator, when the Kanashibari is being used, as it glows mildly. The Katsuishi used for the Kanashibari is not garden-variety Katsuishi, as it has been modified to have the extra effect of modifying the reiatsu fed into it to serve the specific purpose of the Kanashibari.
To use the Kanashibari, the Katsuishi is fed into the receptacle, which is loaded onto the Kanashibari. When met with a body in critical condition, the Kanashibari is placed such that its ventral surface rests on the patient's chest. Then reiatsu is run into it, activating it and causing the Katsuishi within it to grow. Due to being constrained by the receptacle, the Katsuishi is forced out through the Pin Dispenser, which is responsible for molding the Katsuishi into a ball-headed pin shape. The shaft of the pin goes into the patient's chest, barely touching their Hakusui and Saketsu. The reiatsu within the Katsuishi is modified (as was stated earlier) so that it puts the patient into indefinite stasis, as long as the pin remains in their chest. As such, a critically injured patient on whom the Kanashibari is used will not run the risk of dying due to not receiving swift medical attention, allowing the 4th Division squad members armed with this device to work with less stress and more efficiency. Note that it cannot be used on awake or healthy targets, as their healthy amount of reiatsu will not allow the specialized reiatsu in the Katsuishi pin to work.
Class: 7 [Cinematic]
Item Type: Utility
Item Power (IP): 100 (unlikely to be necessary, though)
Offense Type: N/A
Durability: 200
Bonuses: Saves Yonbantai Shinigami the hassles of fighting against time when faced with one or more patients in critical condition.
Drawbacks: Can only be used by 4th Division Shinigami, or anyone with a HE of 50 and above. Can only be used by someone not of the 4th Division with exclusive permission from a member of that squad. Stasis does not prevent damage from further trauma, e.g. a patient in stasis will take damage if attacked, and will die if the damage is enough to kill them. They are fine, as long as they are not attacked.
Cost: 3000 Ryo
