Circumstances: Considering her own existence a threat, Celes has requested a fight with Shizuka to ensure that there is someone strong enough to defeat her, even kill her, should her Inner Hollow emerge.

Celes displayed a natural calm as she awaited Shizuka's answer. Would her request fall on deaf ears? Would Shizuka see the necessity in it just as she did? A few moments of contemplating passed before the Fullbringer finally answered. "Are you sure that's something you want?" Celes didn't need to talk for her eyes revealed her burning conviction. She needed to know that she could rely on someone. That there was someone who could do what needed to be done if push came to shove. 

"I wouldn't go easy on you. But if this is your only ask of me, I think I can oblige." Celes nodded as a smile peeked through. "I ask, and expect, nothing less of you, Shizuka." Her smile formed a little more fully as she realized that she could trust the Fullbringer with this task. Only one questioned remained. "Where should this take place..." The Captain trailed off for a moment as she silently tapped her cheek. "Can't be around here. I don't wanna put anyone else in harms way." After a few moments, the blonde-haired Shinigami snapped her fingers. "I got it! Follow me." With some degree of haste, Celes gripped Shizuka's hand and began to lead her to their destination.

It'd take a good ten minutes for the pair to reach the spot that Celes had in mind even with their supernatural speed. Every now and then, the Shinigami slowed down and shifted into more of a leisurely jog. After all, she didn't want the both of them to be tired out before the bout even began. Soon, they'd reach the industrial district of Karakura. As expected, this area had much less pedestrian traffic flow due to the general lack of housing and recreational activities. Among the countless construction sites, however, was a set of conjoined abandoned warehouses. 

Before them stood only one more obstacle. A rusted door. Looking down at the locked handle, Celes sighed. She'd look at Shizuka for a brief moment. "I'd suggest you take a few steps back." Unless Shizuka had some plan to unlock the door, giving her a few moments to put it into action, Celes gently pressed her hand against the flat of the door. Taking a deep breath, holding it for a moment, the Captain exhaled and struck against the door with her palm. Even with a fraction of her physical strength, the door easily swung wide open and was nearly ripped off of its hinges. The loud creaking left Celes giggling nervously. Nevertheless, the door was open!

As the Shinigami walked inside, she'd stand witness a strikingly large space. Besides a few shelves with wrenches and other tools, the space was surprisingly barren. It was not the most glorious of battlegrounds, but it'd have to do. Not to mention it was removed from any significant number of pedestrians. This would allow the two of them to brawl to their hearts' content. As she continued to move forward, a familiar voice chimed in. "Celes... are you sure this is what you want?" 

The Captain hummed for a moment, each one matching her paces. "No. But it needs to be done anyway. You know better than I do the level of devastation that Yukito can cause. I need to know that there's someone willing to do what needs to be done." Her Zanpakutō Spirit simply remained silent, saying nothing in response. With that, Celes turned around. One hand was pressed against her hip while the other grazed the hilt of her Zanpakutō. She simply closed her eyes and grunted softly.

Once her eyes opened, she looked at Shizuka with determination and focus. Both of her hands extended outward in a traditional martial arts stance. As she did, the girl took a breath. This one, however, was different. It was far more deliberate. Almost as though it was intended to achieve something. She'd repeat these four more times, her reiryoku flaring the tiniest bit with each breath. She felt invigorated. Finally, she'd call out to the Fullbringer. "Shizuka! I expect your fullest potential. My Inner Hollow will show no quarter and as such neither will I." She let the words sink in. This was no game to her. Yukito would be a genuine risk in this fight. It was a gamble, but it was one that Celes was willing to make. "Prepare yourself." Celes' eyes studied the Fullbringer briefly. She'd try to dissect whatever information she could. After all... she knew nothing of the CEO's capabilities. She couldn't rush in headfirst without first getting some information.

When used to recover more quickly from Stamina use, Spirit Breathing functions only once every 3 posts.

When this technique is Proficient, the user may trade up to 2 Breath stacks per post to purge stat debuffs. When this technique is Mastered, the user may trade up to 3 Breath stacks per post to purge stat debuffs.

How to use technique: Apply the basic concepts of proper breathing to the user's spiritual body, inspiring into the spirit and expiring into the self.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Shizuka was smiling the entire time Celes dragged her to the abandoned warehouse, understanding completely at that moment that there was no way she'd be able to break out of the Shinigami's grip. Truthfully, she was enjoying being toted around like a designer bag, taking in the sights as they both made their way to the outskirts of town, away from the bustling city and the countless people who could end up dying by either of their hands. Without a care in the world, she allowed herself to be brought to what would ultimately be their sparring grounds.

Once they reached the door, Shizuka came to realize she was freed as Celes gave her a warning. She listened and dipped herself back just a few steps, waiting to see why Celes would mention such a thing. It had been so long since they saw each other last that the Fullbringer simply didn't understand how much her friend had grown. In fact, being aware of how she was stuck again without the ability to sense the strength of others on her own, she clicked on her Soul Gauge and allowed it to reveal the hidden power levels unseeable to the general public. With a somewhat audible hmph in the Shinigami's direction, Shizuka wondered for a moment how her hand wasn't broken. Celes must've been gentle.

Within seconds, Celes successfully broke into the abandoned warehouse. Ignoring every single law on this planet, Shizuka's wide eyes took in the sight. She wouldn't have been able to do that on her own. Well, maybe, and she could definitely do something like that with her Soul Command, but the fact that Celes just yeeted the door open so easily left the poor girl mildly shocked. Her Soul Gauge was certainly not lying. Pressing her lips together into a flat line, Shizuka started forward to get inside the building while only her eyes darted in Celes' direction.

She had to admit she kind of liked breaking and entering.

Celes, after invading the warehouse without a single care for any town regulations, turned back towards Shizuka and took a readied stance. The Fullbringer simply smiled again. She really just had absolutely no idea what she was getting into and couldn't find a care in the world. Celes took several deep breaths, and Shizuka had no clear clue why. It was terrible to be in a position where her ability to sense things was dampened so greatly. Celes may have been taking those breaths intentionally, but Shizuka only thought she was calming herself to the spar.

"Shizuka! I expect your fullest potential. My Inner Hollow will show no quarter and as such neither will I. Prepare yourself."

"Oh, I gotcha. You don't need to worry about me. This is just a test to make sure I can handle you, right? Either I can or I can't! No biggie."

A hair tie was pulled out of the back pocket of Shizuka's white denim pants. Truthfully, it was a shame to fight in such clothes, but she could always buy replacements. Being the CEO of a company had some serious benefits when speaking on it from a monetary perspective. She juggled the hair tie between the fingers of her right hand so that it was secure just before hand-brushing her hair up into a ponytail. With a quick tie and a gentle tug, her hair was up, out of her face, and out of the way. At least she could be mildly prepared.

"I won't try to crush you immediately or anything. I'm sure by now you could sense that, at its core, my power is fairly intense. Does that mean I'd win automatically? Well, who knows? I say probably not. I'm pretty rusty." Shizuka raised her hand and looked at her open palm. "But at least I know where to start!"

The Fullbringer flexed the effectiveness of her racial ability to a higher level using Soul Dominance on Celes' clothes. After the initial assessment through the use of her Soul Gauge, she realized she and the Shinigami had different strengths and weaknesses. This meant Shizuka could affect even items Celes may be wearing. Being acutely attuned with her own spiritual talents, and with a flick of her wrist in a downward direction, Soul Dominance forced Celes' clothes to drag down to the ground quite harshly and immediately. It wouldn't be anything close to a crushing feeling, but it would be restrictive. If nothing else, Celes would feel comfortable in the fact that she could be restrained.

What this would do for Shizuka could mean a good way to stall Celes so a proper plan could be made, or give Shizuka more of a chance at a better reaction time. The action could be resisted since Celes was apparently mega strong, but she'd feel a major struggle. She'd get tired. And Shizuka would keep pulling her down. Hoping to take advantage of the situation Celes could be in, Shizuka threw her other hand in the Shinigami's direction and released a Class 4 stage of Electrocution. This action would only feel as if Celes had been tasered, but she didn't want to cause a massive amount of pain or go all out just yet. She had to test her opponent, as well.

This technique is an expansion of the basic racial ability of Fullbringers to manipulate Souls. Through extra training, the user of this technique can manipulate souls on a much more grand scale. This technique costs 150 Reiatsu and, as a result, can actually achieve combat useful manipulations. This technique can be used to manipulate raw elements up to the size of the user. It still cannot manipulate release weapons, and cannot manipulate the personal effects of an opponent such as clothing if there is not Reiatsu Strength Superiority.

Technique Description and Effects:
An ancient and powerful Energy Generate technique uncovered, Electrocution is a natural force using technique. This EG uses the raw power of electricity as its weapon, ravaging an enemies body as it is released from the hands or fingertips of its user. As the caster is only the conduit for the lightning, the EG does not rely on any of his physical or spiritual capabilities to perform. He simply needs the necessary Reiatsu to use it. Electrocution is a devastating Energy Generate as no force living or dead can withstand the effects of an electric shock. When the lightning strikes the target they will, typically, clench up and become immobilized as the pain of Electrocution courses through their bodies. Those struck by the electric shock are subject to the pain of high powered electricity. As mastery of the technique rises so does the power behind the electricity. Reiatsu Strength is the used Offensive Stat for this technique, but because this technique has definite damage the OS is simply used for clashes.

Class 4: The user cannot fully utilize the power of this technique at this Class. At Class 4 all the user can do is create a quick blast of electricity, a single and quick bolt that does nothing more than quickly immobilize and hurt the enemy. The bolt is quick, moving within the seven meter range of effectiveness in the blink of an eye. The immobilization caused by the bolt is quick fleeting, doing nothing more than stopping the target from performing an action (someone running would fall over). It is essentially the equivalent of someone being shot with a taser.

Class 3: Class 3 users of Electrocution are a force to be feared on the battlefield. As they practice and hone their talents with the technique they soon reach the level where they are no longer limited to a quick spark. Class 3 can release a steady stream of arcing bolts of electricity from their palms or fingertips for approximately seven seconds. While only one target can be struck at this level, the power at this level is much higher than its Class 4 state. Immense pain is inflicted upon the target, causing either intense tension in the body as it freezes up or simply collapsing. While not as lethal as the Class 2 version, this level of power is very useable in the battlefield. Unlike the former level, this one will even leave smoldering , second degree, burns upon the victim's body where the electricity struck. Machinery relying on electric parts are easily and effortlessly disabled by Electrocution at this level. At Class 3 it is entirely capable of killing people if you’re not careful.

Class 2: The most powerful level of this technique and only few have ever achieved. Upon becoming Class 2 users of Electrocution the user can easily gain the advantage on multiple opponents at once. The user can choose to release his technique from one or two hands or if Mastered from their entire bodies, releasing multiple forked arcing bolts of electricity to attack up to three foes at once. As the beams are forked they can jump between enemies, meaning one man can hit three people at once if they are close together. When the Class 2 version is fired, it doesn’t stop until the user either dies or wills it to stop. Multiple, hindering, third degree burns will cover the victim's body, often leaving them a steaming mess. The electrical power this technique is comparable to a lightning bolt, making it absolutely devastating against people. Continued and multiple exposure to this attack can cause someone to have cardiac arrest or completely disintegrate them.

How to use technique: Using the technique is rather simple. One simply focuses their Reiatsu into their hands and imagines lightning. It’s a technique that gives hardly any sign of its preparation, making it an extremely useful surprise attack.

Technique Drawbacks: A technique this powerful requires equally powerful drawbacks, and this technique has its own hindering drawbacks that makes someone think twice before using it. As the user is using his own arm(s) as the conduits for the technique, constant exposure to such high amounts of electricity is damaging. While the Class 4 version of this technique is far more lenient than its other versions, it can still cause numbing in the hand using it if used four times within seven posts. The Class 3 version is not so forgiving, however. The technique can be used safely twice before any of the limb damaging effects happen. Burning of the hands and arms is commonly seen after being used twice, as well as numbing of the arm that hinders its ability to be adequately used in combat. The numbness will recover after four posts. The Class 2 version of this technique though is the most damaging. It can only safely be used once, and anymore runs the risk of permanently damaging the user. Continued use of the Class 2 Electrocution would result in sever, third degree, burns across the length of the arm(s) that conduct this technique. While the Class 2 version can safely be used once, it will still result in the casters arm going completely numb and becoming partially paralyzed for four posts.

It has other limitations as well. Electrocution only has an effect range of ten meters, meaning an enemy has to be relatively close for it to even be effective. As this power is using pure electricity, it can be grounded by things that would normally ground electricity. Spiritual steel is able to partially block most of the power behind this attack, effectively halving most of the power but only if the target can block it in time. Both Hierro and Blut provide a natural defense against this technique, but follow Offensive Stat and Class Clash rules.

Shizuka's Remaining Reiatsu: 9,700 (-150 for Soul Dominance, -150 for Electrocution (Class 4))

Celes' eyes skimmed up and down Shizuka's form. Studying her foe, Celes was surprised to see that her opponent today was a little toned. Was she as physically capable as Celes? Likely not based on what the Captain had seen thus far. Nonetheless, she was pleasantly surprised. In fact, shed find herself briefly distracted by the Fullbringer. "Oh, I gotcha. You don't need to worry about me. This is just a test to make sure I can handle you, right? Either I can or I can't! No biggie." A reply to her comment about not holding back. 

Needless to say, Celes was pleased to see that Shizuka understood the nature of the engagement. She relaxed her stance a little and flashed her friend a smile. The Captain watched as Shizuka tied her hair into a neat little ponytail. Seems this was the little preparation that the woman needed as she proclaimed, "I won't try to crush you immediately or anything. I'm sure by now you could sense that, at its core, my power is fairly intense. Does that mean I'd win automatically? Well, who knows? I say probably not. I'm pretty rusty." The girls' eyes narrowed. She could definitely appreciate Shizuka's attitude as she struck a balance between false modesty and arrogance. There was no doubt though. Shizuka's skill and power was known as dangerous. the Captain definitely needed to be on her guard. 

In fact, it seems that the first move would belong to the Fullbringer. Listening to her words, "But at least I know where to start!" Celes instinctively shored up her stance once more. On the surface, Shizuka's hand was harmless but movements in a battle were rarely without purpose. To accompany this, Shizuka's words seemed rather ominous. "I can't be too care-" Tearing her thoughts asunder, Celes felt a strange sensation. Her body felt... heavier? This feeling suddenly intensified as her clothing tugged against her skin, threatening to pull her down!

However, Celes would not find herself yanked to the floor. Most Shinigami sacrificed much of their physical ability to foster a powerful spirit. Celes was the antithesis to this. She possessed a physical prowess that outstripped a hundred men. Hell, it was likely greater. It was this physicality, combined with her strong base, that allowed Celes to remain standing. Despite that, moving her body was a different story. She felt as though she was walking through water. Her eyes trained on Shizuka once more, the gears turning. 

She took another deep breath before calling out loudly, "This must be that ability I've heard about. A Fullbringers' ability to manipulate the world around them." Taking a brief pause, Celes' eyes suddenly lit up. "Marvelous!" It was clear that she was excited. Barely had their fight begun and Shizuka had already made it arduous for her. However, it seemed that there was much worse in store for her. As she raised her hand, Celes could sense the buildup of the woman's reiatsu. She was going to unleash something!

Having a bolt of electricity shot towards her, Celes' eyes widened. She was immediately reminded of her bout with the late Septima Espada, Ailene Haschiro. The Arrancar had let loose tendrils of electricity that practically charred Celes' arm to ash. Frightened by the prospect of a brutally similar consequence, the Captain's body practically moved on its own in an effort to defend itself. Shizuka may have been able to rob the girl of her fluidity, but she couldn't take her strength away. Her hand resting upon her Zanpakutō, Celes pushed against the guard with her thumb. Usually a mundane movement, it was backed by Celes incredibly strength. 

Leaping from its sheath, the gleaming katana intercepted the bolt of electricity. Almost like a lightning rod, the blade redirected most of the electricity, absorbing it. The bit of energy that swiped past her airborne Zanpakutō harmlessly bounced against her flesh, sending a tingling sensation through her body. Speaking of her Zanpakutō, Celes sped forward using Shukuchi-Ho. Even if it was harder to move freely, this would test something. In her place, where she once stood, was a hazy afterimage. Did Shizuka have to know where Celes was to continue weighing her down? 

Using her Shukuchi-Ho, Celes briefly flickered into existence right next to her Zanpakutō. Grabbing it before it could touch the ground, Celes utilized the second step of Shukuchi-Ho to attempt to dash roughly 3 ft off of Shizuka side as she left another distorted after image next to where her Zanpakutō once resided. With her sword in hand, the Captain quickly swiped at Shizuka with the tip of the blade at a speed of roughly 600, aiming for a minor cut on the forearm. A risky maneuver given Celes' familiarity with cutback, but the Captain had a trick up her sleeve.

Allowing her reiatsu to shroud her blade, Celes strike would not only be fortified to negate cutback but also enhance her strike. While not using a ton of strength, Shizuka would feel herself be slammed into with someone of Celes' build and weight if the cut landed. Even if it didn't, it would allow the Captain to gauge Shizuka's reflexes. Either way, Celes stood to gain without playing too much of her hand. After all this phase of the battle was a mere warmup, likely for both of them.

{Shukuchi-Ho}Technique Name: Shukuchi-Ho (Reduced Earth Steps)

Class: 3

Technique Type: Hakuda

Technique Element: None.

Description: The user makes use of his innate speed to move flawlessly. From a standing stance, or from any resting position, the first step that the user does becomes an illusion, moving quickly than the eye can see. This technique gives the user a short burst of speed to move and invade an opponent's personal space, and engage in hand to hand combat, or to weave in and out of an opponent's attack. This move triples normal speed for each step, and uses no reiatsu.

How to use: The user simply channels reiatsu around his feet instead of gathering spirit particles as what Shunpo or Sonido does.

Drawback(s): Shukuchi-Ho requires its user to have at least a base SPEED of 400 points, and is versed in Hakuda (meaning the character must be very knowledgeable in the shinigami art of hand-to-hand fighting). Also, the technique can only be used if the opponent is within 10 meters of the user. If the opponent is too far, the technique cannot be used. A maximum of 2 steps per post can only be done using Shukuchi-Ho, nothing more, nothing less. Note that Shukuchi-Ho is by no means superior to Shunpo or Sonido.

{Sakugen}Technique Name: Sakugen (Cut)

Technique Class: 7 - 10 TTP

Technique Type: General Shinigami.

Usable By: Shinigami, Vizard, Rogues.

Technique Element: N/A

Technique Cost: 25 Reiatsu.

Description: The user pours Reiatsu into their body, and their sword, and releases it in a mighty slash attack. A small slash of Reiatsu shoots outwards, and can cut with the same force as the user, if it hits. It also bypasses the cutback effect, as well as comes with the user's weight. It feels like it hits the enemy with the user's body weight, on top of cutting into them or their tools.

How to Use: Charge and slash in an instant.

Incantation: N/A.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

"This must be that ability I've heard about. A Fullbringers' ability to manipulate the world around them."

Shizuka was a bit too stunned to speak.

"Marvelous!"

Nope, still stunned. The action the Shinigami took to avoid Shizuka's electric shocks were ingenious, to say the least. The bolts were too busy being attracted to her sword to cause any damage to her body. All of that was fine, but with every movement Celes made, something resisted against her more than she seemed to realize. She began moving at insanely fasts speeds, only noted by Shizuka as the girl had taken a stance akin to that of someone preparing themselves for such movement. In all of her years, she knew you didn't get to be at her level without a heightened level of analyzing skills. Unfortunately, she didn't go as easily as the Fullbringer had hoped she might at first, so she had to match Celes' speed for a moment using Bringer Light. Where Celes had her after-image left over, Shizuka instead had a flickering beam of light where she once stood.

She made an assumption at this point that Celes was going to go straight for her, ignoring the possibility of the sword being picked up in the process. What Shizuka did instead was effectively swap places with her opponent, ending her step where Celes once stood. In the unique space between movements for the time that they matched speeds, Shizuka watched Celes start to take her next step after picking up her sword but did not stray from the path Bringer Light took. This was a simple dodge when she lacked the knowledge of knowing exactly what Celes may do, but now she was able to see that she truly used her surroundings to her advantage. Placing her weapons in convenient spots just to grab them later was smart but risky.

With their steps crossing paths, Shizuka and Celes only a few feet apart yet somewhat adjacent to each other before Celes moved again, Shizuka managed to save herself from the strike the Shinigami made. She wasn't sure if it was by sheer luck or true experience, but in a fight, she had to assume her opponent would always look for an opening just as she would. During that moment where they matched speeds before Celes took off again, picking up her sword was what alerted Shizuka to her plan to attack. If she really thought Shizuka wasn't going to move, then that meant she had an opening, as well.

As her foot stepped down to the ground to stop her movement, she unleashed a secondary bout of Soul Dominance separate from the one she'd placed on Celes' clothing. Expending three times the amount of Reiatsu she used before, she created three large triangular stone slabs that rose from the ground. As they stood, they were six feet tall, two feet thick, and four feet wide. As an earthbender, she manipulated the slabs to trap and close around celes like a triangular prism or tend, ideally encasing her as she attacked where Shizuka once was. Simultaneously, as if to mask the multiple uses of techniques to the best of her ability, she activated Minefield and spread her explosive influence across the field. She, too, had some tricks.

The entire time, however, Soul Dominance was still in effect, relentless in its attempt to weigh Celes down. Shizuka did not waive off the technique, but she may not have needed to anyway. What Celes didn't seem to realize was with every move she made, the clothes Shizuka's Reiatsu strength held in place in an attempt to weigh the Shinigami down to the ground were ripping and tearing as Celes' natural strength counteracted the Fullbring ability almost exactly. Being stunned at first was simply the Fullbringer watching as the clothes slowly tore away, revealing bare skin underneath. With a glance behind, observing where she once stood, Shizuka blushed for a moment, blinked, and looked away. Nothing remained.

"Celes, please look down."

Technique Name: Bringer Light

This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

Technique Description and Effects:
An advanced version of the lesser Firecracker technique, this one is actually meant to maim and kill, whereas its weaker version is meant to distract and slow. When this technique is used, the user can create a field of Reiatsu over a fifty square foot radius. Within this field, at any time, the user can detonate a section with the force of a large mine for the cost of 50 Reiatsu. An explosion does not use up an area of the minefield; the section is instantly replenished and can be detonated again.

How to use technique: Build up Reiatsu and spread it over an area, holding it in a steady wave beneath the ground before detonating it through simple focusing.

Drawback: This technique gets expensive; besides the initial cost of the technique, it also costs 50 Reiatsu per explosion, and atop that it costs an additional 100 Reiatsu per post to maintain the field. Atop that, it is tiring to maintain the field for long periods of time; after three posts, the pressure of holding it starts to wear on the user, and only gets worse after that.

Dashing towards Shizuka, zig-zagging to catch her blade, Celes still felt the tug on Shizuka's Soul Dominance on her clothes. She hated to admit it, but it did make moving cumbersome, even for someone of her ability. She clicked her tongue as she reflected on it for a moment. This was already a pretty good sign of Shizuka's ability. Celes could only stand due to her incredible physical strength. A lesser warrior might've been brought down beneath the weight of their own clothing.

However, that alone wasn't enough. The Fullbringer had a powerful spirit, no doubt about it. What of close-quarters combat? After all, that was Celes' forte. Could Shizuka handle her? Well, the answer did surprise Celes for a moment. As she attempted to swipe at Shizuka where Shizuka once was, the Shinigami's vision would be filled with a bright column of light. Reflexively, Celes closed her eyes in response to the brightened flash. After a moment, the Captain opened her eyes again and quickly skimmed the warehouse.

The CEO was standing where Celes originally stood her ground. "Huh...", she looked at Shizuka with surprise. Either Shizuka had anticipated her response or her reflex was a cut above the rest. She couldn't confirm one or the other nor did it matter at the moment. Shizuka decided to use her spiritual prowess to summon a pillar of stone that rushed towards the Shinigami. Celes' eyes lit up with excitement as she yelled, "That's so cool!"

Even though Shizuka attempted to mask her use of Soul Dominance, Celes' senses were honed. She could hear the scraping of stone against the concrete floor. Accompanying this was a burst of reiatsu which radiated from Shizuka. Celes couldn't pinpoint what exactly Shizuka was planning, but she wasn't going to take risks. Besides, this entire exercise was a test. The Captain was trying to assess if the Fullbringer had what it took to handle her should her Inner Hollow act up. All of this helped guide her next move.

A burst of reiatsu surged from Celes' body, and shrouded the lime-haired girl in a red hue. The blade in Celes' hand along with her sheathed katana both broke down into red wisps of energy. Suddenly, something began to form within the shroud. A bone-like structure manifested, faster than the eye could see, covering Celes from head-to-toe with a roughly 8 ft tall spectral ribcage. With a mere thought, the ribcage produced arm which coiled outward and grasped the speed boulder that was headed towards her. If the other two slabs didn't seek to slam into Celes with any significant force, they would find their advance halted by the spectral shroud.

Taking a few steps forward, Celes continued to grip the slab that was originally headed her way, keeping it at bay with her monstrous strength. In the meantime, another arm coiled outward, forming a more well-defined skeletal torso. Bones began to extend upward and formed the skeletal visage of a head, its hollow orbits staring at Shizuka. The Captain focused her energy a bit more, solidifying the construct even more. The wispy bones became more hardened, less ethereal. Shizuka would now be face-to-face with a 15 ft tall skeletal behemoth. While surely imposing to look at, Celes was sure that Shizuka wouldn't turn tail and flee.

Shizuka's response, however, caught Celes off guard as the Fullbringer averted her gaze. "Celes, please look down." Celes blinked and looked perplexed. "...Okay? Why do I need to-", Celes froze mid-sentence as she looked down to find... bare skin. Scraps of clothing hung to her body, but were otherwise shredded. She was on full display to Shizuka! Needless to say, Celes' face flushed a crimson red.

Breaking her concentration almost instantly, Celes shrieked as though she had seen a ghost. She frantically looked around, instinctively bringing her arms in front of her to cover up her bosom and other assets. Thankfully, the Astral Soul shielded some of her nude form from view, but she felt like she was going to drop dead any moment now. Her Shikai slowly began to dissipate as Celes utilized a Shunpo to find some cover behind crates as quick as possible. "Shizuka! What the hell! How long was I naked for?! She briefly peeked over the crates, her flushed and reddened cheeks glowing brightly as she started bashfully at Shizuka...

{Honegumi Gassō Overall Ability}Astral Bastion harnesses Celes’ Qi and using herself as a conduit, focuses it to give it physical form. This results in an Astral Soul that protects Celes and grows over the course of combat. The Avatar forms at a speed equivalent to Celes' own. Upon utilizing Shikai, Celes receives 10 Strength of Spirit every post. Leftover Strength of Spirit from one post carries over to another post and there is no cap to the amount of the Strength of Spirit that Celes can accumulate. Additionally, Celes can generate Strength of Spirit out of her own reaitsu at a cost of 25 Reiatsu per Strength of Spirit. Strength of Spirit can be used in a number of ways.

Once a post, Celes can spend any amount of Strength of Spirit to restore 4% per Strength of Spirit in durability to her Astral Soul, restoring the durability to a part of Celes’ choice. Strength of Spirit spent on restoring durability can be divided among multiple parts of the Astral Soul. For example, if Celes spends 4 Strength of Spirit to repair, she can allocate 4 to one part of the Astral Soul or divide it up among multiple parts such as the arms or head. Strength of Spirit may also be spent to enhance the Astral Soul, making temporary additions that can become permanent by use of Ascendant Spirit.

The Astral Soul has durability equivalent to Celes’ OS. This durability increases by 1.5x Celes’ OS when Humanoid. The durability finally rises to 2x Celes’ OS while Armored. Each part of the Astral Soul which includes the Head, Body, and Arms has its own separate durability. No part of the Astral Soul may ever be more than one stage above the Body. Physical and Spiritual attacks can gradually deteriorate the Astral Soul. Upon clashing, the OS of the attack harms the durability. For example, if Celes has a durability of 1000 and the OS of the attack is 500, the remaining durability is 500. If the technique has a 2 Class Superiority, then it both harms the durability of the Astral Soul and pierces it, making Celes susceptible to its effects. In contrast, if the technique has a 2 Class Inferiority, then only deals 50% of its OS to the Astral Soul. If the Body of the Astral Soul were to fall to the durability of 0, the Astral Soul regresses to its previous stage. For example, Armored would regress to Humanoid.

Celes may allow others to enter her Astral Soul freely. Doing so incurs no harm to the ally. Opponents may also force their way into Celes’ Astral Soul as long the durability of the Astral Soul's body has fallen below 25%. This includes techniques that would target Celes directly, requiring opponents to wear down her defenses first. Opponents of a higher class than Celes can always force their way into the Astral Soul or target Celes through her Astral Soul no matter the durability. If the durability is repaired above 25%, any hostile currently within the Astral Soul is forcibly shunted out.

Using this Avatar comes with a primary weakness. The Avatar is a representation of Celes’ life energy; given focus and shaped into a physical form by her. This is extremely taxing and will inevitably result in extreme pain if maintained for an extended duration. Celes can utilize the first instance of Shikai with little risk, suffering no pain from using the Avatar. Once Celes refreshes her Shikai, the pain escalates. Every post thereafter, Celes suffers consistent pain which worsens every four posts. The first instance of pain requires a Pain Tolerance of 1 to withstand. This Pain Tolerance requirement grows every four posts to a maximum of 3. Meeting the Pain Tolerance requirement allows Celes to continue fighting through prolonged exposure threatens to debilitate her if she has sustained wounds. If Celes should ever not meet the Pain Tolerance requirement, she will be writhing in so much pain that her Shikai or Bankai loses its focus and dissipates, effectively ending her release.

{Palms of the Astral Soul}
For 1 Strength of Spirit Celes can summon one arm, up to a maximum of four. These arms have a reach of 15 ft and have a Strength equal to Celes’ own strength. Each arm must be maintained via the upkeep of # Strength of Spirit until it is made permanent. The upkeep cost of the arms increases with each stage.

{Visage of the Astral Soul}
For 2 Strength of Spirit Celes can summon the head of her Astral Soul. This head, while active, heightens Celes’ visual acuity by allowing her to see through the eyes of the Astral Soul. This allows her to treat her Speed as 25% higher for the purposes of perceiving high-speed movement. This bonus increases to 50% upon using the Complete Astral Soul. Additionally, for each stage that the Head has reached beginning at Skeletal, Celes gains 1 point in Charisma for the purposes of intimidation as it provides a menacing appearance up to a max of 3. The upkeep cost of the Head increases with each stage.

{Arms of the Astral Soul}
For 1 Strength of Spirit, Celes can summon weapons wielded by the Astral Soul. These weapons are a longsword or a shield. The longsword is 25 ft in length and the shield has a diameter of 12 ft. A weapon can be summoned upon manifesting of an arm or while the Astral Soul has one free hand. All three weapons both have an OS and durability equivalent to Celes’ Strength; Bankai increases the durability to 2x Celes' OS. While these weapons are constructs, they retain the benefits of their metal counterparts, I.E blades can still carry vibrations. These weapons can be destroyed by a 2x OS superiority to durability. Once broken, Celes may spend 1 Strength of Spirit once more to resummon these weapons. As long as the weapons are not broken, Celes may dissipate the weapon from the Astral Soul’s hands. When doing so, Celes summons her own copy of the weapon in her hand that acts as her release weapon. She may transfer her copy of the weapon to the Astral Soul at will as long as it is not broken. The weapons do not have an upkeep cost.

{Ascendant Spirit - Rank I}Technique Name: Ascendant Spirit

Description: Ascendant Spirit acts as a way for Celes to permanently upgrade her Astral Soul. By spending varying amounts of Strength of Spirit, Celes can permanently grant herself the superior stages of the Astral Soul. Once a stage has been unlocked permanently, Celes does not need to spend Strength of Spirit to maintain enhancements of that stage anymore. These permanent enhancements, if destroyed, allow Celes to spend Strength of Spirit equivalent to 1.5x their upkeep cost, rounded down, to restore the enhancement. When restored, the enhancement returns to the current unlocked stage of Ascendant Spirit. If the Astral Soul were to regress to a previous stage, Celes can spend Strength of Spirit equal to the most recently unlocked Stage to immediately upgrade back to it. For example, if Astral Soul reverts to Skeletal, she can spend # Strength of Spirit to enhance the Astral Soul to Humanoid once more. Activating Bankai immediately sets Ascendant Spirit to Rank IV. In Bankai, the Astral Soul can be restored to the Complete stage. Upgrading Ascendant Spirit lasts until the end of a regular thread such as a PVP/JT. In longer threads such as adventures, Ascendant Spirit resets on a "long rest". The requirements for upgrading or restoring Stages are:

Skeletal: 5 (Rank I)
Humanoid: 9 (Rank II)
Armored: 13 (Rank III)
Complete: 20 (Rank IV)

Drawbacks: Ascendant Spirit is a powerful way for Celes to retain certain benefits, but it does have several weaknesses. For another rank of Ascendant Spirit to be purchased, Celes must have at least maintained the next stage of enhancements at some point. For example, if Celes is currently using the Skeletal Astral Form, she must first purchase and maintain Humanoid Arms and Head to upgrade to rank II (Humanoid) of Ascendant Spirit. While each enhancement can be maintained individually, all enhancements must have been maintained at the next stage at least once. The only exception is Palms of the Astral Soul, which only require a minimum of two arms to be maintained to fulfill the requirement. Additionally, after upgrading Ascendant Spirit, the technique goes on cooldown for two posts before being able to upgrade again. If an enhancement is destroyed, Celes must wait 1 post before being able to restore that enhancement.

{Shunpo}Technique Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)

Technique Element: None

Technique Description and Effects: A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

She felt so bad. She really didn't indent for this fight to turn out this way. Contrary to popular belief, Shizuka was actually quite innocent when it came to things like this and she only ever put on an act when she was showing off any different kinds of behavior. She didn't actually want Celes to feel uncomfortable, especially not when she cared about the girl so much, so this was certainly going down on her list of things where she absolutely owed an apology. Or five. Or ten. Honestly, would Celes ever actually forgive her?? Would Shizuka forgive Celes if the roles were reversed? Well, probably. But that didn't make it okay!

Ultimately, the method the Shinigami used to escape Shizuka's stone slab barricade was pretty smart. It was quite clear that the girl was very physically strong, and that was something Shizuka coveted. She knew she wasn't very strong and no matter how hard she trained, it all seemed to go into a single bucket. That was why she relied so heavily on her techniques and Release. She was definitely more of a magical girl than Celes would be considered, that's for sure. But even so, if Shizuka's Reiatsu strength and Celes' normal strength were evenly-matched, she wasn't going to be able to rely on things like this to stop the girl.

At least it didn't take long before Celes realized what was going on, and the blood red on her face made Shizuka feel so horribly guilty. If it had been a guy, you know, maybe that would be fine. But she was disrespecting another woman! That was the worst! They were disrespected enough day to day and Shizuka seriously had to be the one to bring it into this fight. Celes' giant figure that surrounded her also seemed to cover her body up a bit as soon as Celes tried to hide herself from view, and Shizuka noted the thought that it reminded her of her own Inner Power. What could it be like for the two of them to meet? Even if this thing was a bit daunting at first, it had the Fullbringer a bit curious.

Nevertheless, her green-haired friend very quickly stepped away behind some crates and Shizuka glanced over in the direction her voice was coming from, seeing Celes as she questioned Shizuka how long she'd been nude. Hmm.. Should she lie? Lying might save face, especially given that it had been for a few minutes now, but Shizuka didn't want to say anything that might be taken the wrong way so she had to think about her words carefully. Maybe she could be kind of vague about it? Or would Celes question that even more? It was clear she was feeling too awkward for words anyway so there was no use in making things worse.

"Um... I can fix it."

Shizuka didn't need Soul Dominance again, but instead made use of her innate Fullbring ability Soul Command and forced the pieces of clothing to sew themselves back together on Celes' body. Each stitch was replaced as if brand new, though Shizuka didn't do anything special to enhance the girl's clothes. They would be just normal clothes, but thankfully take on their original form as if nothing obscene had happened to them, and maybe this would be enough to earn her forgiveness. Even if it took a little more concentration than normal to do something as complicated as fixing an entire outfit, that was a sacrifice she was willing to make.

"I can fix these as many times as I need to," Shizuka started as she commanding the threads to weave together. "Because it looks like you're going to need it."

As she finished the last bits of stitching, the only warning Celes would have is the flex of Reiatsu that Shizuka forced as she activated Minefield against the crates where the Shinigami was hiding. Five explosions would happen simultaneously - immediately in front, back, either side, and above Celes' body - as Shizuka yanked down on Celes' clothes again with Soul Dominance. This time it was not with her full Reiatsu strength, though. Instead, what Celes would feel would be a tug to stay put, and if she didn't manage to escape, the explosions would be so close to her body that they would leave her severely charred and injured. They were unleashed only inches away from the girl.

"You can't forget that I'm an assassin, Celes," Shizuka shouted as she used Movement at 900 speed to hide amongst the shadows, her voice turning into nothing but echoes. "You'll have to find me first."

Shizuka was perched at the top of the warehouse amongst some horizontal beams that held the structure together, but since she was about 80 feet above the ground, she was outside of the radius where Minefield would be helpful. To conserve her energy, she deactivated it before she'd used Movement and looked down upon the massive ditch she created from her previous detonations. She knew she'd have to use her Release soon. She was just trying to figure out when would be the best time to show Celes what her powers really looked like in a fight.

This is a movement technique. It's to keep up with things like Shunpo or Sonido. While all races using this have their own variant of a step technique already, this one is pretty much an in-general type of move. It attunes the physical body to the reiatsu in the air, rather than spiritual to spiritual. It is now physical to spiritual. This allows the user to step at 3x speed for the cost of only 25 Reiatsu. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: Focus the body’s energy and release during a step. This technique can be broken off in the middle of its use. Unlike other step techniques, this one can be repeated while in the middle of the previous one, allowing someone to change their movement course in mid movement.

Technique Description and Effects:
An advanced version of the lesser Firecracker technique, this one is actually meant to maim and kill, whereas its weaker version is meant to distract and slow. When this technique is used, the user can create a field of Reiatsu over a fifty square foot radius. Within this field, at any time, the user can detonate a section with the force of a large mine for the cost of 50 Reiatsu. An explosion does not use up an area of the minefield; the section is instantly replenished and can be detonated again.

How to use technique: Build up Reiatsu and spread it over an area, holding it in a steady wave beneath the ground before detonating it through simple focusing.

Drawback: This technique gets expensive; besides the initial cost of the technique, it also costs 50 Reiatsu per explosion, and atop that it costs an additional 100 Reiatsu per post to maintain the field. Atop that, it is tiring to maintain the field for long periods of time; after three posts, the pressure of holding it starts to wear on the user, and only gets worse after that.

Despite all of her strength and confidence, Celes would find herself in one of her most vulnerable states ever. Despite what most would've likely thought, the Captain of the Tenth was surprisingly bashful. Her cheeks were tinged a crimson red as she peeked over at her opponent, expecting an answer. As the moments passed by, and the ambient cold air gave Celes' skin goosebumps, Shizuka finally gave her answer, "Um... I can fix it." Celes blinked a few moments and stood there confused. "Fix it? What the hell are y-"

Almost as if to answer her own question, the Captain watched numerous shreds of her black shihakusho rising into the air and surging towards her. Fitting against her skin, each piece would sew itself together with surprising precision and dexterity. Needless to say, Celes was impressed. Shizuka even remarked, "I can fix these as many times as I need to," After a dozen or so seconds, her entire garb found itself stitched together. Moving around in it, briefly rotating her shoulder, Celes found it rather comfortable. As the subtle surge from Shizuka died down, Celes looked up at her and smiled. "Well, you're certainly something else, Shizuka. I'm starting to see the perks of being a Fullbringer.", she mused with a soft giggle.

Juxtaposing the moment, Shizuka made another comment, "Because it looks like you're going to need it." Celes raised an eyebrow. She wasn't sure what exactly the Fullbringer meant by it, but she had a feeling she was not going to like it. Standing there, a little caught off guard, Celes remarked, "Wel-... why are you saying it like that?" Suddenly, several brilliant bursts of light erupted around the Captain. Feeling the searing heat from the explosions starting to lick at her skin, the Captain's instincts kicked in. Raising her arms, Celes tried to use her arm to cover her eyes and the other to cover her chest. At the same time, her leg rose to attempt to guard some of her stomach. It was a flimsy guard, but it was the best Celes could throw up given the circumstances.

As quickly as they had appeared so quickly would they fade, leaving Celes to get knocked backwards and violently slam into the wall behind her. Despite her best efforts, Celes sustained some serious injuries. Chunks of flesh had been shorn, stretched, and torn, burn marks scoured large regions of her body, and bruising covered nearly every inch of her body. The Shinigami slowly lowered her arms and, if Shizuka paid attention, her eye would be swollen and bloodshot. The girl practically gasped for air, her hacking cough being coarse and rough. Despite all of this, it was impressive that the girl was still alive!

Trying to, largely unsuccessfully, catch her breath, Celes rose to her feet. Feeling a colf draft around her body again, Celes could intuitively ascertain that most of her clothing had been shredded again. However, something else had gotten her attention. In the distance, Shizuka suddenly shouted, "You can't forget that I'm an assassin, Celes," Celes' eyes immediately darted towards the origin of the sound as Shizuka disappeared from sight. "You'll have to find me first." As she spoke again, something felt... different. Even with her sharpened senses, the Shinigami couldn't pick up on the origin of the voice. She felt surrounded by it, almost as though Shizuka were both everywhere and nowhere all at once.

Gritting her teeth, Celes stomped her foot down and focused. She needed to try to recuperate as much as possible. Sliding her foot outward and bringing a fist close to her chest, the girl's breathing slowed for a few brief moments. In that time, her coughing stopped. Suddenly, white steam began to emanate from the Shinigami's body. First slowly, but building rapidly after a short time, it surrounded her. Deep lacerations, cuts, and bruises. All of it began to sizzle as parts of her skin stitched themselves together. Even the swelling in her eye and some of the bloodshot look faded. Over a few moments, Celes' body rejuvenated itself! However, despite her efforts, it would become clear that not everything was healed.

As the white energy continued to surround her, Celes' attention drifted. All of a sudden, a voice roared intensely in her mind, "That bitch has some fucking nerve! We can't let her get away with this, Celes. Let me out and I'll show you how to deal with her!" Celes grimaced for a moment and shook her head. "No! Not yet. I still have to see what else she can do. I need to see how much of me she can handle" Immediately, the sinister voice retorted, "Tch. You seem pretty handled right now, Celes. You better step it up and stop being soft with her. If hold back, I swear that I'll grind her bones to dust!" With that warning, the voice receded.

The pale energy surrounding Celes faded away as she opened her eyes. The girl looked a hell of a lot better though she still had serious injuries. Suddenly, a hacking cough escaped the girls' lips as she spat up blood. "Damn... internal bleeding?", she muterred. Briefly wiping the blood away from her mouth, Celes stared up into the darkness of the warehouse. She couldn't sense the woman's energy or see a glimpse of her. She certainly wasn't lying about being an assassin. Celes needed to flush her out somehow. Get her back on the ground. As she eyed the steel beams, Celes smirked briefly.

Suddenly, the girl vanished from sight as well. Leaping upward at a speed of 1000, Celes formed a crimson-red sword in her hand. With several slashes, faster than the eye could see, the Captain severed a steel beam roughly two-dozen feet long. Allowing the blade in her hand to vanish, Celes grabbed hold of the steel beam with one hand, demonstrating her herculean strength. "Let's see how you handle this, Shizuka!" Quickly forming an Air-Ground beneath herself, Celes began to swing the giant steel beam. As she did, giant shockwaves began to form, racing outward into the darkness. Celes wasn't truly aiming at Shizuka, no. She was aiming at connecting steel beams as the mighty shockwaves caused them to bend and, eventually, break. She'd repeat this, swinging it wildly and searching for any movement in the shadows. At the same time, the girl was trying to listen for Shizuka. Either the Fullbringer would turn up... or Celes would bring this entire warehouse down upon their heads eventually!

Technique Element: None
Technique Description and Effects: By taking time to rest the body and reassert centering, turning awareness of the flow of energy inward, the spirit realigns the body to match its state of recovery. The user may shift any amount of pre-type Stat Points from their Instinct and/or Energy Sensory into a Meditative Healing Factor. For the first 100 points moved, the user can recover from scrapes and light wounds inside a single post; for the next 100 points, from deep bruises and lacerations, and for the next 100 points moved, from light organ damage and limb loss.

When this technique is Learned, the user may move up to 100 points from these stats into Meditative Healing Factor. When this technique is Proficient, up to 200. When this technique is Mastered, up to 300. The converted points move back on their own, at 100 points per post, after the user stops Meditation.

By spending 1 stack of Breath up to one time per level of technique mastery attained and ranks in Blessed Breath Contemplation taken, the user can reduce the requirements of healing via this method by 50 points for 1 post.

How to use technique: Utilize breathing and rest to transform your state of spirit into a recuperative paradigm.

[Shizuka Sanamizu ✮]

Watching from the shadows, Shizuka saw the steam rise from Celes' body as she appeared to focus. Now would be the best time to hit her but... I want to give her a chance. A smirk carved itself upon Shizuka's face as she saw the outer-most injuries begin to heal. She didn't know much about this girl's powers, but having the knowledge that Celes was able to heal like that would be useful. She wondered for a moment if it worked on others? Shizuka had her own version of healing but it was a bit more complicated. It didn't take focus, but it required a bit of blood. How easy would it be if all she had to do was stand in place?

With furrowed brows, the Fullbringer's curiosity rose sharply. It didn't take long for the strange energy around Celes to fade, but what happened afterwards made Shizuka feel a twinge of guilt. Celes coughed, and with a bit of a squint, Shizuka realized there was blood. She knew the explosions would be potent but didn't realize they would affect her so much. Still, this made sense. Even if Celes is strong, she was knocked back against a wall. That would have killed any normal human. I suppose that's Shinigami durability for you. Seems like a total cheat code. Good notes nonetheless. This would come in handy whenever she had to kill one of the Soul Society's worst.

It looked like her safety net was going to run out if her opponent had anything to say about it though. Unable to follow her exact movements, Shizuka blinked and Celes was gone. Not even a moment later, she appeared in the air and completely cut off one of the steel beams, using it as a massive bat that caused insane amounts of destruction with shockwaves. Shizuka, originally blocking herself, jumped out of the way a few times as beams began to bend, break, and fall. Celes was going to tear the entire warehouse down if Shizuka didn't expose herself somehow, but Shizuka couldn't risk exposure just yet. Using that kind of strength, though... Celes must be getting tired.

"Let's see how you handle this, Shizuka!"

This girl is insane! Panic struck the blonde's mind as she watched these crazy displays of strength. Shizuka could command the souls of the beams to do what she wanted, but she was definitely not capable of swinging them around as if they were weightless the way Celes was! With some shock painting her features, she jumped from beam to beam to avoid the ones that were falling until she landed herself back on the ground next to a wall on the opposite side of the warehouse. The only thing blocking her from view was a stack of boxes. The ceiling was beginning to cave in on itself and there was no way she'd be able to fix that on her own without expending a ton of Reiatsu. She had to think of something, some way to stop Celes from causing more destruction so she could protect herself as the building started to fall.

"I heard a rumor," Shizuka whispered, using the lesser version of her Soul Command so as to not disturb the area with her Reiatsu, "That you couldn't find me."

Her Soul Command muted her voice from where she stood and instead threw it across the warehouse to the other side. If Celes were listening, Shizuka's hope would be that she'd follow that sound rather than come for the Fullbringer. The ceiling began caving even more, losing its structural integrity as beams started falling, beginning from just a few feet from where Celes was. Clicking her tongue, Shizuka knew Celes would be completely fine due to her strength but the Fullbringer wasn't quite so lucky. As the ceiling continued to break and fall, the destruction grew louder and louder, and dust flew up into the air. The roof of the warehouse started to crumble. Shizuka eyed the door and used Movement to get herself out of the area entirely.

Dirt and debris settled around the Fullbringer and Shinigami as some beams remained standing, though most of them had fallen. It looked as if the skeleton inside the warehouse had broken down - as if it were a beast that had died and decayed over time. Unfortunately, what this did was leave Shizuka out in the open. She had the option of hiding amongst the debris if she needed to, but with so much of it around, she feared Celes would be able to use her incredibly strength again. Mentally cursing herself, she tried to think of a plan before flinching and looking down at her left arm. She'd gotten cut on her forearm by the rubble as it began falling when she'd used Movement and didn't realize it. After clenching her fist a few times, she noted that she could still use her arm, but it would take some effort.

"I guess we both are going to come out of this a little scathed. I was just hoping it wouldn't end up that way."

How many times was she going to have to hurt her friends to prove a point? She'd hurt Luke years ago when she lost control. She hurt Leon accidentally in a more recent fight. She hurt Celes now. Was her own power really a hindrance? Was she causing more harm than good? Blood dripped from the cut and Shizuka inspected the injury. It was wide, maybe like two inches, but not that deep. She would heal in time. More than anything, it hurt enough to make her wince when she moved her arm at all. If this was her punishment, then perhaps it was deserved. She never felt this kind of guilt when she hunted targets, though. Could she turn her empathy off now?

Technique Description and Effects:
This is a movement technique. It's to keep up with things like Shunpo or Sonido. While all races using this have their own variant of a step technique already, this one is pretty much an in-general type of move. It attunes the physical body to the reiatsu in the air, rather than spiritual to spiritual. It is now physical to spiritual. This allows the user to step at 3x speed for the cost of only 25 Reiatsu. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: Focus the body’s energy and release during a step. This technique can be broken off in the middle of its use. Unlike other step techniques, this one can be repeated while in the middle of the previous one, allowing someone to change their movement course in mid movement.

Swinging the steel beam with reckless abandon, massive shockwaves continued to rip through the warehouse. Steel beams, wooden boxes, walls... none of them were safe from Celes' rampant destruction. As the sound of twisting steel and crumbling rock filled the building, Celes continued her search. Unfortunately, the Fullbringer was quite adept at laying low. Even despite how promising this proved to be, Celes was not going to play nice. After all, Yukito wouldn't either. As such she continued, practically ripping the warehouse apart and causing the ceiling to creak. Before she knew it, the skeleton of the building was compromised.

Plastic, steel, and other rubble came crashing down from the ceiling. Not only that but with the structural integrity being disrupted, the walls collapsed. As it fell around her, Celes used her physical prowess to deftly dodge the falling debris as she took a break from swinging the two-dozen-foot-long beam. Dust and dirt leapt into the sky and finally, after what felt like a minute or two, the warehouse was nothing more than a desolate site. As her eyes scanned the debris for any sign of movement, Celes had a moment to fully realize just how much destruction she had wrought. "Huh...", she mused briefly. "Guess I went a little overboard."

Continuing to stand in the sky, searching for Shizuka, Celes began to hear something. It was faint, but it was definitely a voice! "I heard a rumor," Celes listened closely to try to pinpoint its source. "That you couldn't find me." The Captain blinked and gritted her teeth. Was... Shizuka behind her? Did she think this was some game? Whipping her body around, Celes actually threw the beam in her hands towards the ground. Barreling against the mix of steel, concrete, and dirt, the force behind Celes' throw was enough to tear up some of the earth beneath it.

The lime-haired Shinigami had another look around from her vantage point. The destruction she had left in her wake made it a hell of a lot harder for Shizuka to hide and yet the girl still found a way to elude her. Letting the reiatsu beneath her feet dissipate, the Captain landed on the ground with a thud. Rising to her feet, Celes let out a sigh. Allowing the familiar red energy to bleed from her body again, the Captain soon became enveloped in the 15-foot-tall skeleton. The skeletal visage moved from side-to-side, continuing to scan the environment. As it did so, Celes focused on the avatar that shrouded her.

Letting out deep breaths, the skeletal ribcage began to sprout tendrils. The tendrils swiftly snaked their way across the bony arms and skull-like visage. If Shizuka paid close attention, she'd notice that the tendrils began to harden into muscle and soon, flesh. The eyes of the avatar lit up with an eerie yellow, as the head grew fiery red hair which slowly resembled a crown. Once these changes were complete, the tendrils swept across the ribcage, expanding it. In what felt like the blink of an eye, the imposing avatar had grown yet another 5 ft. Furthermore, it revealed a key component of Celes' Shikai. Given enough time, it could evolve!

Without any movement from the Shinigami, the hand of the avatar opened up. A bright red orb formed within its palm, shifting around briefly. Suddenly, the orb twisted and turned, forming itself into a crossguard. Extending outward from the crossguard was a brilliant red blade and a pommel which fit into the avatars' hand perfectly. The blade itself was roughly 25 ft long and shimmered in the afternoon sun. Sinking down to the ground and crossing her legs, Celes... sat among the cracked rubble. If Shizuka would not herself, she was not going to waste more energy than was necessary. And if Shizuka did decide to strike, she'd have to contend with the girls' Shikai. The ball was in her court.

Celes, no longer standing on Air Ground, was quick to make her next move. Shizuka watched as the giant red figure appeared again, enveloping the green-haired girl entirely. She could tell that this thing was looking for her, though thought it was odd. Did this mean Celes could see out of its eyes, too? Or was there some kind of sensing ability? Kind of like a dog, was this skeleton attempting to sniff the Fullbringer out? Before long, she threw the idea away as she watched the beast begin to develop muscle and skin from whatever creepy tendrils sprouted from it earlier. It was building itself up somehow, maybe becoming more solid in the process.

If the image of this creature wasn't enough to make someone feel uneasy, the giant sword certainly was. Celes was clearly comfortable using her abilities and Shizuka needed to think about potentially doing the same. As Celes sat on the ground and waited, it became clear very quickly that she wasn't about to play Shizuka's game of hide and seek. That was fine. This was meant to be a test of some sort for both of them. Celes had proven herself to Shizuka a long time ago, but could the Fullbringer do the same thing? Stumbling a bit, she balanced herself amongst the rubble and looked down at her shoes with a sigh. She was going to have to do something.

Disregarding the fact that she was throwing her stealth out entirely, the gold-colored heels on Shizuka's feet began to glow a bright purple as she commanded them to transform into her Fullbring. There was something slightly different about it, though. It wasn't going to be in its base form. No, instead, she chose to use its next level at a higher cost to even the playing field a bit. Thor's hammer appeared in the form of an average-sized bucket, but contained in this bucket was one hundred gallons of ANNM explosive. This gel-like fluid was highly unstable when thrown into contact with a blast cap, but as Shizuka had learned early on, she was all it needed.

The remaining purple glow transformed into twin pistol water guns, each with its own half of a thirty-gallon cartridge full of liquid nitrogen. Catching both in her hands as they fell from just above, the blonde watched as the monster finished its formation. She's used this combination before, so with any luck she'd be able to successfully pull her plan off. It all depended on Celes and how strong she could be. Shizuka knew from earlier that the Shinigami's physical strength met that of her own Reiatsu strength, so how far could she possibly push this girl before she finally decided the Fullbringer was better off hospitalized? Or worse... Shizuka shuddered at the thought. If it were ever to get that far, she had one more thing she could possibly do.

Now barefoot, Shizuka stood just a few inches above the rubble on Air Ground. "If this is what you call overboard then do you normally hold back when you're physical with people?"

Was she ever physical with people? Shizuka wondered for a moment, shrugged her shoulders, then took off running at her own full speed while maintaining her Air Ground path. Circling around Celes with her guns set to Streamline, she shot fine lines of ANNM out sporadically, though she was careful to keep her distance outside of the sword's reach at roughly 40 feet. Since Streamline could shoot as far as 30 feet, that would be fine, but it meant Celes was safe within a 10-foot radius of where she was. Sort of. This stuff had a slight smell, but she wouldn't be able tell what it was unless she had some previous knowledge. Shizuka was willing to bet that the girl lacked it.

These 30-foot lines of ANNM were each somewhat evenly spaced as Shizuka ran, so she ended up using a total of 50 gallons during her sprint. During the process, she'd watch the construct Celes created and decided to make any effort she could to dodge out of the way if it decided to move against her. This would take a bit of effort, unfortunately, but she'd be ready to try to make that move if it was necessary. Once she finished her sunburst-like setting of ANNM around Celes, she'd settle in front of the girl, still maintaining her 40-foot distance, doing what she could to avoid the sword. She didn't know anything about this construct yet. She'd have to test it.

"I can only do so much with antihistamines," she lied, sighing at her feigned lack of tactic. "A lot of my strength comes from my techniques. But I don't think I can win with just those." That part was true. "I have to hope the fumes get to you."

The mild scent of the explosive would be unpleasant, but not entirely different from most medical gels. Again, Shizuka had to hope that Celes didn't know much about her abilities. If she did, then the new hope would be that Celes believed Shizuka despite her lie. She did her best to seem disappointed and simultaneously nonchalant, but it would only be a matter of time before she'd need to activate the fluid's properties and Celes would figure it out. Still, how much she'd be able to figure out would just take time. It had been a while since Shizuka had a reason to fill her bucket a second time. That's when Celes would be able to piece together what the Fullbringer could do.

As the green-haired Shinigami found herself resting, the girl took a few deep breaths. With her shield surrounding her, the Captain was comfortable in taking a moment to relax. After all, if Shizuka was not going to show herself, Celes wouldn't waste more energy than she needed to. Closing her eyes, the girl's vision went black before suddenly seeing the world through an entirely different set of eyes. The red-tinted filter slowly faded as Celes began seeing the world through the eyes of her release. While not directly improving her visual acuity, it could provide a vantage point of sorts as she rested.

While the head of her Astral Soul continued to look around, scanning the environment, Celes couldn't make out anything new. Rubble continued to surround her with no clear indication of Shizuka. The Captain let out a brief sigh until, suddenly, the girl sensed something. The Captain's ability to sense energy was always poor, but this feeling burned intensely. She couldn't pinpoint any specifics, but her decades of experience revealed one thing. Shizuka had unleashed something powerful.

Looking in the general direction of the sensation, the Shinigami saw a familiar blonde begin to peek over the debris. However, the Fullbringer wielded an interesting pair of weaponry. Most combatants that Celes had encountered in the past had the usual weaponry. Spears, swords, bows. Hell, some even wielded claws and tails. However, this was the first time that Celes had seen actual guns. Even then, something about them seemed... off. Needless to say, she was immediately intrigued. This new development, combined with the grandiose, flare of reiatsu could only mean one thing. Shizuka had finally revealed her Fullbring.

Even despite that, Celes continued to sit as she opened her eyes, regaining her normal vision. "If this is what you call overboard then do you normally hold back when you're physical with people?", Shizuka inquired, earning a few blinks from the Shinigami. Ultimately, Celes couldn't help but chuckle. "Well, I guess I do hold back alot, hmm?", she briefly thought to herself. Before another moment passed, Shizuka began putting her plan into motion. Beginning to run wide circles around her, the Shinigami followed her every movement.

The Captain certainly was curious to see what plan Shizuka had devised. Holding the scarlet blade within its ghost-like hand, Celes held it at the ready should she need it. After all, Shizuka was setting this up like an attack. Would she blow up the air surrounding Celes again? Would she use that same electricity attack? Or would she actually put those guns to use? Ultimately, it seemed as though the latter was the case. Bracing and mentally preparing herself, Celes cautiously watched the barrel, expecting a bullet to come rushing out. As Shizuka began to fire it though... Celes was at a loss for words.

Instead of a bullet, Shizuka's fired a white gel-like substance in a steady stream around Celes. The liquid began to form several individual streaks nearing the base of her Astral Soul. Despite its proximity, Celes didn't even process what it was. Instead, she was so incredibly shocked. Her brain quickly tried to rewire itself to truly fathom what was going on. All of this culminated into a single thought that echoed within the depths of the Captain's mind. "Is she... Is that a water gun?" Suddenly, the green-haired Shinigami rose to her feet. Almost soon after, an acrid scent began to assault her senses. It didn't make her dizzy or anything, but it was far from pleasant.

In the end, Shizuka came to a standstill a good distance away from the Captain. "I can only do so much with antihistamines,", the girl explained. In truth, Celes knew very little of antihistamines. She knew it was a medication that people took for allergies, but that was about the extent of it. "A lot of my strength comes from my techniques. But I don't think I can win with just those.", Shizuka admitted. Celes briefly squinted, surprised to hear that kinda remark from Shizuka. Besides some dirt stains, she didn't seem all that ruffled. A bluff perhaps? It was extremely unclear. "I have to hope the fumes get to you." Celes hummed softly as Shizuka revealed her plan.

The Captain chuckled briefly and nodded. "Ah. So your plan is to choke me out, Shizuka? Perhaps make me loopy?" Despite her obvious joking around, Celes had to admit that she had no idea if this chemical was what she claimed. Hell, she couldn't even be sure what it was at all. With that in mind, Celes contemplated her next move. She could continue to banter with Shizuka or even bunker down within the confines of her Shikai. However, the purpose of this exercise was to see how Shizuka could handle her. She couldn't constantly be on the backfoot and she knew that her Inner Hollow wouldn't afford Shizuka the same grace. With this in mind, Celes knew what she had to do.

Raising her foot inconspicuously, Celes tilted her head at Shizuka before suddenly planting her foot down. Once more, Celes would display her monstrous strength as a large cloud of dust and debris erupted from the girl, several dozens of feet large. Not even wasting a breath, Celes utilized a Shunpo, disappearing from sight along with her massive avatar. Moving in a straight line, at 10000 Speed, the Shinigami attempted to slip behind Shizuka, or at least where she last saw the girl before the eruption. If in place, Celes would practically descend on Shizuka, attempting to grasp her right arm upper arm, and elbow, as the humanoid construct threatened to surround both of them.

If succesful, Celes' hands would clamp down like a vice as Celes' green hair fell upon the Fullbringer's shoulder. Nearing her ear, Celes would whisper, "Y'know, I heard a rumor,", obviously imitating the Fullbringer from before. "That your body was brittle." Without another word of warning, Celes would apply nearly half her strength worth of pressure in an instant upon Shizuka's upper arm. This quick application of force, combined with Celes' immense strength, would threaten to displace Shizuka's entire humerus, practically dislocating the entire bone. Needless to say, Shizuka would be in for a world of hurt if Celes was successful.

{Shunpo}Technique Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps)

Technique Type: Kidō

Technique Element: None

Technique Description and Effects: A movement technique that allows the user to move faster than the eye can follow. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. As speed is the main point of the technique, the method is best characterized by how fast one can get from Point A to Point B in the least amount of steps. Training and skill are what determines how fast a user of Shunpo can move. Those of little skill in the technique or those who haven't used it for an extended amount of time would obviously be out of practice, causing those individuals to be considerably slower. This requires the use of more steps to move the same distance and become tired more easily in a shorter amount of time. A single step magnifies speed for that step by ten times. Shunpo uses fifty Reiatsu per step. This one is automatically learned in the academy. All Shinigami know this when created. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: Focus of Reishi around the feet area and launch off into a single blurring step. It is not unlike teleportation in appearance, but it is simply extremely fast movement. It is often used to gain an edge in a single moment of combat or to dodge incoming attacks.

"Ah. So your plan is to choke me out, Shizuka? Perhaps make me loopy?"

"Of course!" With chloroform, anyway. "I have to overwhelm you somehow."

Only shortly after her little poke, Celes managed to force a rather sizeable cloud of gross towards the Fullbringer. Clearly an effort to distract her, though what she couldn't account for was Celes' monstrous speed. Nothing in her arsenal would immediately defend her entire body from her opponent, especially when she couldn't focus enough to try to guesstimate where Celes would finally end up. Unfortunately for her, the Shinigami was too quick and Shizuka felt her body jolt quickly as soon as Celes' hand grasped her right arm. The movement was too swift for Shizuka to avoid, and her previous trap failed due to Celes' speed. She had to move it somehow.

Yes... somehow. She knew how.

"Y'know, I heard a rumor," Celes whispered, entirely too close to Shizuka's ear as her hand continued to clamp down against the blonde's skin and bone. "That your body was brittle."

She knew she was supposed to feel threatened, but there was a certain masochistic pleasure she felt from Celes' attack seeing as she mirrored Shizuka's earlier taunt. That feeling only lasted for a second before an unnatural amount of horrendous pain shot through her arm. Though she didn't hear any cracks, she knew something was wrong the minute she realized she couldn't move her arm or hand without a tremendous amount of effort and vision-blurring torture. A blood-curdling scream erupted from the woman's mouth, but she willed herself through the pain as she felt adrenaline doing its job. As she screamed, she took advantage of the grasp that Celes had on her body and quickly took the pistol that she kept in her left hand, flipped it around, and shot five gallons of streamlined liquid nitrogen at the woman's legs and feet. The intention was to keep her in place by restricting, if not entirely prohibiting, her movement. With liquid nitrogen's instant freeze properties, she hoped that would be enough.

Simultaneously, though, using Celes' hand as a conductor, Shizuka unleashed the Class 2 version of Electrocution from the dislocated arm. This meant that, along with being directed at Celes, Shizuka's arm would shoot multiple arcs of electricity in several directions that she fully intended to manipulate. The proximity, especially given that Celes was touching the Fullbringer, would hopefully give her the opportunity to land the hit at the cost of an arm she couldn't properly use at the moment. Well, sort of. Shizuka would experience the painful sizzle of third degree burns along the arm that she sacrificed, choosing to quickly transform her gun back into a single one rather than the twin pistols. She'd have to shoot with her left hand if she were going to use it, at least for now. Once she created some distance between the two of them, she'd be able to try something else. But for the moment, once she used Electrocution, whether she successfully hit Celes or not didn't matter for her next move.

Out of the electricity that formed from the technique, Shizuka took a note out of the Bount Book and masterfully transformed the blast of energy into three Eastern dragons, each able to act on their own or take slight direct orders from their creator. Each of the three sat about 20 feet above the circle of ANNM that she'd shot onto the ground before Celes moved, careful not to ignite it. Assuming Celes let go of Shizuka either from being hurt by electrocution or wanting to avoid getting hit by it, she'd use Bringer Light to move at a speed of 3000 and land herself directly in the center of her circle, effectively trading places with Celes.

She was panting. Using that much energy at once with an injury like this was exhausting. She spied her bucket, realizing it was outside of the radius she'd created with her explosive, and rolled her eyes. That plan would have to wait until she could do something else, then. If this Shinigami was going to back her into a corner, then she had another trick up her sleeve, but that wasn't going to come out until it had to. Either it would win for her or she'd pass out either way, and she really didn't want Celes to think of her as weak. That, and she wondered if she truly was weaker than she originally hoped. Was she just being reckless, or was she actually incapable?

Technique Description and Effects:
An ancient and powerful Energy Generate technique uncovered, Electrocution is a natural force using technique. This EG uses the raw power of electricity as its weapon, ravaging an enemies body as it is released from the hands or fingertips of its user. As the caster is only the conduit for the lightning, the EG does not rely on any of his physical or spiritual capabilities to perform. He simply needs the necessary Reiatsu to use it. Electrocution is a devastating Energy Generate as no force living or dead can withstand the effects of an electric shock. When the lightning strikes the target they will, typically, clench up and become immobilized as the pain of Electrocution courses through their bodies. Those struck by the electric shock are subject to the pain of high powered electricity. As mastery of the technique rises so does the power behind the electricity. Reiatsu Strength is the used Offensive Stat for this technique, but because this technique has definite damage the OS is simply used for clashes.

Class 4: The user cannot fully utilize the power of this technique at this Class. At Class 4 all the user can do is create a quick blast of electricity, a single and quick bolt that does nothing more than quickly immobilize and hurt the enemy. The bolt is quick, moving within the seven meter range of effectiveness in the blink of an eye. The immobilization caused by the bolt is quick fleeting, doing nothing more than stopping the target from performing an action (someone running would fall over). It is essentially the equivalent of someone being shot with a taser.

Class 3: Class 3 users of Electrocution are a force to be feared on the battlefield. As they practice and hone their talents with the technique they soon reach the level where they are no longer limited to a quick spark. Class 3 can release a steady stream of arcing bolts of electricity from their palms or fingertips for approximately seven seconds. While only one target can be struck at this level, the power at this level is much higher than its Class 4 state. Immense pain is inflicted upon the target, causing either intense tension in the body as it freezes up or simply collapsing. While not as lethal as the Class 2 version, this level of power is very useable in the battlefield. Unlike the former level, this one will even leave smoldering , second degree, burns upon the victim's body where the electricity struck. Machinery relying on electric parts are easily and effortlessly disabled by Electrocution at this level. At Class 3 it is entirely capable of killing people if you’re not careful.

Class 2: The most powerful level of this technique and only few have ever achieved. Upon becoming Class 2 users of Electrocution the user can easily gain the advantage on multiple opponents at once. The user can choose to release his technique from one or two hands or if Mastered from their entire bodies, releasing multiple forked arcing bolts of electricity to attack up to three foes at once. As the beams are forked they can jump between enemies, meaning one man can hit three people at once if they are close together. When the Class 2 version is fired, it doesn’t stop until the user either dies or wills it to stop. Multiple, hindering, third degree burns will cover the victim's body, often leaving them a steaming mess. The electrical power this technique is comparable to a lightning bolt, making it absolutely devastating against people. Continued and multiple exposure to this attack can cause someone to have cardiac arrest or completely disintegrate them.

How to use technique: Using the technique is rather simple. One simply focuses their Reiatsu into their hands and imagines lightning. It’s a technique that gives hardly any sign of its preparation, making it an extremely useful surprise attack.

Technique Drawbacks: A technique this powerful requires equally powerful drawbacks, and this technique has its own hindering drawbacks that makes someone think twice before using it. As the user is using his own arm(s) as the conduits for the technique, constant exposure to such high amounts of electricity is damaging. While the Class 4 version of this technique is far more lenient than its other versions, it can still cause numbing in the hand using it if used four times within seven posts. The Class 3 version is not so forgiving, however. The technique can be used safely twice before any of the limb damaging effects happen. Burning of the hands and arms is commonly seen after being used twice, as well as numbing of the arm that hinders its ability to be adequately used in combat. The numbness will recover after four posts. The Class 2 version of this technique though is the most damaging. It can only safely be used once, and anymore runs the risk of permanently damaging the user. Continued use of the Class 2 Electrocution would result in sever, third degree, burns across the length of the arm(s) that conduct this technique. While the Class 2 version can safely be used once, it will still result in the casters arm going completely numb and becoming partially paralyzed for four posts.

It has other limitations as well. Electrocution only has an effect range of ten meters, meaning an enemy has to be relatively close for it to even be effective. As this power is using pure electricity, it can be grounded by things that would normally ground electricity. Spiritual steel is able to partially block most of the power behind this attack, effectively halving most of the power but only if the target can block it in time. Both Hierro and Blut provide a natural defense against this technique, but follow Offensive Stat and Class Clash rules.

Technique Description and Effects:
This ability is not a stand alone technique. This ability takes any other ability and changes it. At class three, this ability takes any technique and turns it into one of two dragons. The first dragon option is the serpentine dragon of the East. The Asian dragon, extremely prominent in mythology and even certain parts of history. This dragon is twenty feet long, and comes with or without wings. The next dragon is the feared dragon of the West, most known for terrorizing the masses, and being slain by the knight. This dragon is twenty feet tall, and has one head.

Each dragon is comprised of whatever technique was used in conjunction with. The dragons are able to think and act independently, slaying anything in their path save for their master. The dragons will follow simple orders that their masters give out, but they will do said orders in their own manner. Each dragon is able to breath flames, carrying the same effects and combat stat as the ability that the dragon is formed from. If the dragon is slain, by any attack equal to or over 3/4 the rs of the original technique, will explode equal to its rs into the sky destroying everything above it in a violent pillar of reiatsu. The dragon's strength is 800, with 600 being the speed for the Western dragon, with the opposite being true for the Eastern dragon.

At proficient, the caster can create two Eastern dragons, each twenty five feet long, or a Western dragon standing thirty feet tall with two heads.

At mastered, the caster is able to create three Eastern dragons, each thirty feet long, or a Western dragon standing forty feet tall with three heads.

Each dragon is the same class as the ability used to make it, and are subject to regular clash rulings.

How to use technique: You pay 500 reiatsu on your non-release technique, and the ability takes form. The ability, if used that post, lasts a little longer than it should, right before the beast forms. The dragon lasts 5 posts longer than the technique used to make it would normally last.

Technique Description and Effects:
This is the stepping technique for humans. It increases their speed for a single step by 10 times for 50 Reiatsu. It leaves a column of flickering light in the place where the user previously occupied. Unlike other steps, this one can be used to build speed. If used in succession, the speed and cost go up with each additional step. The second step is a 13x increase, and costs 100 Reiatsu. The third step is a 15x increase, and costs 200 Reiatsu. From there, the cost doubles with each additional step, and the speed increase goes up by 1 time. Meaning the fourth step is 16x and 400 Reiatsu, the fifth is 17x and 800 Reiatsu, etc. Though at first the column of light is visible where the user was, once the third step is reached, the column of light is no longer there. This technique does not take up a technique slot.

How to use technique: To work, this technique manipulates the soul in whatever the user is standing on, allowing for feats such as high jumping, or the step which increases speed.

[Celes Shindazu]

As Celes used her unmatched physical prowess to dislocate Shizuka's entire upper arm, the girl would bear witness to a horrid scream. The Fullbringers' body practically writhed reflexively as the Captain felt her arm practically go limp. Admittedly, it wounded Celes a little. The Shinigami had resorted to brutal methods against someone whom she deemed a friend. She clicked her tongue with clear dissatisfaction as her brow furrowed, her shame building. Unfortunately for her, the Shizuka's second wind kicked in and allowed the girl to not immediately pass out from the pain. It seemed that Celes' warm and gentle nature would get her into a shit ton of trouble!

Celes hadn't even noticed the dexterity that Shizuka demonstrated until a cold feeling ran up her legs. Suddenly, that tingling feeling grew and the Captain felt pain. Instinctively trying to move, the Captain felt herself go numb. As she attempted to exert more force, Shizuka suddenly unleashed another hail of lightning towards the green-haired Shinigami. Tendrils of electricity licked her flesh, creeping along her arm at blinding speeds. Her muscles burned and her arm went numb. She couldn't help but grit her teeth, quickly alarmed by the escalating situation. If she didn't know any better, Shizuka seemed to be having her revenge.

Commanding her muscles to move, calling upon every ounce of strength and willpower she could muster, the Captain let go of Shizuka and darted backward. Within the swaying dust cloud, the Shinigami could hear roars. It was as though a rolling thunderstorm crept upon Karakura. As the cloud continued to waver, however, Celes would eventually see something she could hardly fathom. Above the Fullbringer was a trio of Dragons! Their elongated forms coiled around the strange liquid that Shizuka had fired, the beat of their wings clearly audible to the Shinigami. She had to admit, "Well... this is new!"

A feeling of sickness suddenly overcame the Captain. It felt like a pit had suddenly opened in her stomach. Gagging a few times, the girl retched as she spat up alot of blood. Her legs practically shook as bits of flesh had been torn off. Patches of skin on her legs were pale and dusky. Her arms, even more than before, were practically covered in vicious burns. The girl had taken one hell of a beating and yet she was still standing. However, the strain of combat was beginning to take its toll. It would only be a matter of time until her body suffered more wounds and she would be on her last legs.

She chuckled slightly, grinning at Shizuka. "Fucking hell, Celes. Could you be any more pathetic?", a familiar voice pierced her thoughts. "You're a warrior! A juggernaut gifted with unparalleled physical might and you fucking wince when you have to break a few bones..." Celes was silent, her focus split between the raging voice and Shizuka before her. "Your body is gonna give out at this rate and I have too much riding on you. As much as I hate to admit it.", the Inner Hollow's voice rang with frustration.

Celes blinked for a moment, pondering his words, as she felt something eminate from her. If Shizuka paid attention, she'd likely sense it too. Reiatsu, as black as ink, rose from her body. The Captain's eyes widened in realization as she muttered, "What do you think you're doing...?" "...." Suddenly, the girl saw a creeping darkness in the corner of her eye. Almost as if a switch flipped, Celes panicked. Stumbling around, she groaned, "GaaaaAAA. L- lettt. Go. Of. Me!" She gripped her head as Yukito spoke, "Save your energy. You've no strength left to stop me. She grimaced. "Don't worry. I won't kill your pet project, but she'll wish I had."

Then, Celes felt the darkness consume her.

Her body went limp as fragments of white reiatsu began to creep along the girl's face. Forming and solidifying, Celes' labored breathing began to even out. Her slumped form straightened out. As Celes opened her eyes, Shizuka would be able to see the dark sclera and golden iris of the possessed girl. Perhaps even more disturbing, however, was the half-mask. Imposing, demonic horns extended from the mask and sharp canines decorated the girls' teeth. If Shizuka was familiar with Japanese mythology, she would be able to identify it as an oni mask. Quite fitting given Celes' incredible strength.

The Shinigami's eyes flickered around before focusing, eerily, on Shizuka. A light puff of steam rose from the girls' mouth. "Sorry for the long wait, but that brat can be so awfully stubborn.", the voice started, a twisted version of Celes' and Yukito's voice. The Inner Hollow chuckled lightly before continuing. "So then, Shizuka Sanamizu. Do you have what it takes to take me down? I've been itching to see myself and I urge you not to disappoint me."

She was tired. Panting, Shizuka tried to catch her breath and was finding it very difficult. Every time she tried to take a deep breath in, it was as if she wasn't getting enough oxygen and it felt like she was suffocating. When was the last time that she ever used up that much Reiatsu so quickly? Her reserves may be high, but that didn't mean it didn't affect her stamina. She was only lucky for the moment because it seemed as though she wasn't the only one who was worse for wear. Shizuka's arm was dangling at her side, but Celes was in the process of coughing up blood.

Parts of skin were missing from the Shinigami's body. As Shizuka inspected the woman, she saw the burns across her arms and how they were significantly charred, muscle threatening to be exposed. She thought her own burn injury from using Electrocution was bad, but when did she ever get the chance to use it at its full power? This was the first time. The previous times were all the weaker versions because she had felt the slight amounts of pain from it. She was too scared to go all out until now, but Celes had insisted. She told Shizuka that she wanted to see what the Fullbringer could do. She wanted to see if Shizuka could handle her if things were to go south. Shizuka obliged.

Celes and Shizuka were undeniably friends. Shizuka adored this girl, probably more than either of them even realized. Celes was the first true bit of exposure that Shizuka had to the better side of the Shinigami world that started changing her heart entirely. Celes was the reason why she was so conflicted. It wasn't that Shinigami from years ago who shared a bed with the Fullbringer for a night. It was this girl. It was this specific girl. Celes had managed to soften the blonde's heart so much so that it made her want something so strong that she was finding it almost unbelievable and impossible to manage.

Shizuka wanted Celes to be proud of her.

The unfortunate side of this was that Shizuka was an assassin. She was able to turn her empathy off entirely for the purpose of a job. In this instance, the job was to prove to Celes that Shizuka was strong enough to handle anything that was thrown at her if the need called for it. As her breathing began to return to normal, Shizuka blocked Celes' bloody coughs out of her mind. She stood up tall. She held her stance. Her smile faded as she looked at the girl, planning her next move to either seriously maim or completely dispose of her. Shizuka was focusing herself, but not for the sake of any power. No, this was a quick process that eliminated the guilty feeling that began welling up inside of her.

Celes' chuckle fell on deaf ears as Shizuka smirked dangerously, directing her attention towards the Shinigami. She noticed the black Reiatsu and her smirk deepened. Celes, clearly distraught, looked to be fighting with something that only she could see. Judging by the Reiatsu and the distress in her voice, Shizuka could only make an assumption as to what was going on. Celes had warned her previously about this and she was curious about if she'd ever be able to meet this evident Inner-Hollow. A low chuckle escaped her lips as she watched Celes struggle, not because her friend was suffering, but because she knew what all of this meant.

The transformation didn't take much time, but it was long enough for Shizuka to have at least some amount of recovery and make a move on her own. During the struggle, Shizuka activated Soul Dominance once again, opening the ground up beneath Celes' feet only to close it immediately after she feel knee-deep into the hole, forcing it to clasp around her frostbitten skin. The mask that Celes' body now wore was the biggest indication Shizuka had that told her Celes was not in control anymore, and that was in addition to the new eyes and sharp teeth. A surprise, but a welcome one. Either things would work out or they wouldn't, but one thing was for sure. Shizuka didn't have to identify this body with Celes anymore. That meant she didn't need to worry about hurting her.

"Sorry for the long wait, but that brat can be so awfully stubborn." What a laugh. The sound of it was enough to make Shizuka feel adrenaline rise within her body. "So then, Shizuka Sanamizu. Do you have what it takes to take me down? I've been itching to see myself and I urge you not to disappoint me."

"Aww," she teased. "My favorite demon daddy! I was wondering when you'd come out to play with me."

Knowing what she did about Inner Hollows, her only understanding was that they were stronger than their Shinigami hosts. She knew nothing of his actual abilities, but her Soul Gauge sure did. Its activation while she spoke to him informed her of his overall strength level as if it were a video game, and she was met with a feeling of shock. He was more powerful than Celes was on her own, and he didn't have her kind nature holding him back anymore. Shizuka knew immediately that he would be slapping her around quite a bit. She needed to avoid getting close enough to where he'd be able to touch her.

The dragons that she created from Electrocution decided on their own to attack the Inner Hollow. One remained close to Shizuka and did not move, sensing that she needed some amount of protection. The other two lunged forward, throwing themselves at Yukito as one approached directly in front of him and the other stayed to his right side. The dragon in front roared massively and attempted to wrap itself around Yukito in order to restrain him even remotely. The dragon to his right breathed generous amounts of electric flames on its opponent, hoping to hit its target with the assumption that Yukito did not get out of the way quickly enough.

Shizuka didn't know exactly how hurt Celes was before Yukito took over. This was both a test to see how the injuries would hold up and also to prep for what Shizuka wanted to do next. The dragon who was breathing electric fire would continue to chase Yukito down even if there was a speed difference, blast after blast escaping the dragon's mouth. The Fullbringer stayed put, watching for shifts in movement from Yukito that would signal his intention to come near her. With her arm injured, she would have to see just how long Celes' body could hold out. At this point, her primary hope was to break it down enough to leave it immobile.
