[Saburō Shimada]

It hadn't been long since Saburō had returned to Karakura Town. Their flight had only landed two days before, so most everything was still relatively 'fresh' in their mind. After a rather nice afternoon with Ailene the day before, it was only natural that they'd take the time to explore about; see what's since changed with the scene of the town after the last six months.

As their cane continued to tap along the ground, Saburō simply shuffling along the sidewalk in the middle of the afternoon, they turned their head every now and again behind them. They couldn't quite explain it, but it felt like they were being... watched. Like something had been following them as they walked. Sending a shiver down their spine, they simply continued onward, minding their own business and taking in the afternoon.

Though, as time passed, that feeling simply grew ever stronger. They couldn't quite piece it together, but the feeling of being watched only continued to grow; naturally, a sense of worry presented itself rather seriously in their mind. Could they let something like this go? Should they just ignore it and move on? It was hard to say, but they knew that they needed to do something about it.

Stopping in their tracks, and spending a moment to concentrate on the world around them, Saburō took a deep breath in concentration. Gently tapping their cane against the concrete, a ripple of blue light surged from the point of contact, quickly coating a five-meter radius around them in their own seafoam reiatsu. After a few short moments, and with another tap of their cane against the ground, the technique they utilized began to come to life.

The reiatsu that once coated the ground began to slowly rise into the air, taking to the streets of Karakura like a gentle fog rolling in. While they - and anyone else for that matter - were still able to see through the fog, this would at least give them the opportunity to try to pick out if someone - or something - had been watching them. Perhaps that would be the case? It was hard to say, but worth a shot regardless.

Physical exercise while wounded just didn’t seem to be something great, Hikari knew she was hurt after dealing with that monster with the white mask at the temple in Kyoto just a couple days ago. Her right arm hadn’t healed up all the way yet and the puncture wounds in the back of her right shoulder still had a couple weeks more than likely. Her mother had insisted that she go to the hospital in Karakura, but Kyoto had already patched her up quite well. Her grandfather thankfully sided with her so long as he was permitted to keep up her care.

Although she was certain either of them would be on board with her containing her daily exercises it was something she felt now she needed to do more than ever. She’d not only started to see strange things, but now she’d fought one of them and it had nearly killed her. It was something that would have made her believe she was losing her mind, but it also seemed to make sense. The blood of that mummy-like monster was still on her ax until after she cleaned it. Strange random things like breaking of buildings, objects and places throughout Karakura would make sense if these things were always around, but she couldn’t see them until recently.

If she was going to keep seeing them and running into them then she had to get stronger as well. She didn’t have any issues with this though, it kept her moving forward towards her real goal at the same time anyway. She’d already done her early morning jog and upper body although she could really only use her left side at the moment. The right was covered in bandages and although it was what she wanted to do she knew re-opening the wounds wasn’t the best choice. Patience wasn’t something she had a talent for no matter how much her grandfather stressed it as important.

She’d just left her job at the cafe informing her boss about how she’d gotten hurt when a motorcyclist had slammed into her knocking her over a metal bike rack. A convenient lie that didn’t really match up with all her wounds, but was believable enough she thought for most. Toma offered her support although Scarlet wasn’t really sure if that maid mistress was being honest or just manipulative in front of the boss. Either way she didn’t have to work for the next couple days so she could really focus on training. That’s when she saw it though. A man was walking on the street about one hundred yards away and suddenly he was surrounded by fog. “What in the world?”

As the cloud of fog began to rise and linger for a moment, Saburō took a moment to glance around the area, trying to pick out any noteworthy individuals that might've been following them. The main issue, however, is that they couldn't exactly move from that spot. At least, not while keeping up Hanami. If their Cane left the ground, the fog was sure to drop.

Though, after a short moment, they did make rather distinct notice of something walking through the smoke; while they couldn't quite put a finger on it, something about their aura felt... insidious. Otherworldly. Like something they'd experienced back down in- "Gods," they muttered to themselves, before moving their cane. They needed to move, and fast!

Hurrying as quickly as they could along the street, as the haze they'd summoned not a moment before began to dissipate, Saburō wasted no time in making sure that they could at least try to get away. The only noteworthy problem here however reared its head rather quickly; if they could see that thing, then that thing was sure to be able to see them. The cloud wasn't that thick, but it had certainly accomplished its job; not to mention likely resulted in a spiritual awakening for any other Humans that happened to end up caught up inside of it.

As they continued to try to rush through the cloud, eventually making his way out the other side, they noticed very quickly that someone was headed his way. They weren't going to be the cause of excess casualty if they could help it. "Go!" They shouted, "it isn't safe here! Lest you look to perish, leave me to deal with this!" A rather notable amount of panic could be heard from the otherwise calm ex-Akki. It seemed that the Sanctus had found them after all.

One moment the man had been there on the sidewalk of the street, the next he was surrounded by a fog thick enough she couldn’t perceive his figure through its mass. More crazy things that just seemed to be starting to happen in front of her like she’d started a different life randomly without her knowledge. Either way though the man had been using a cane but now before she could get to the dog and find the man, he revealed himself. Running out of the fog shouting that there was danger along with a fairly strong claim.

This was definitely something that felt in line with all the strange occurances of late. Scarlet wasted no time turning and running although she didn’t quite listen either as she ran alongside the man that looked about the same age as her father with much lighter hair. “What’re you screaming about, old man? How’re you running? Is the cane for show!” Scarlet was going along with what the man was giving off as danger although she couldn’t feel or tell if anything was really wrong or if she was going along with the ravings of a delusional old man.

Either way though she was quite frustrated with what she was seeing now, the cane appeared to be completely for show. How could someone be so vile that they’d pretend to be cripple. Something like this was low, as low as using a handicap parking space or lying on a form. There was no limit to the depths of honesty, how far could one’s sense of truth fall to allow such misuse. If this man wasn’t crippled now he would be SOON!

As they continued to try to make their way out of the smoke, moving as quick as they could with their evidently bum leg, they listened to what the woman down the road had decided to say. "The cane is real," they shouted back as they continued to effectively speedwalk, "and if you consider this to be running, we might have another problem on our hands!" Chuckling at their own joke despite it being in relatively poor taste, they continued to hobble down the sidewalk.

"You... have been found..." A deep, raspy voice spoke from well within the smoke, slowly taking heavy steps as they followed behind the Fullbringer, "and Lucifer only knows what your bounty is going to pay for! Mistress Holika shall be pleased with your pelt, human!" Rolling their eyes as they walked, Saburō called back. "Is that so? On your return, humor me and let her know she's fully-able to try!"

As Saburō made their way over to the red-headed girl currently by the end of the road, they turned and held their position, taking a moment to catch a quick breath. Whatever persisted inside of that smoke seemed to be keeping the actual fog up and running. "How quaint," they spoke, "that should've expired moments ago. Why... is Hanami still running?" They hadn't the moment to ponder that thought however, as it seemed that combat was very quick to ensue.

Pulling up their cane, and holding it out by the middle of the shaft, the ex-Akki's reiatsu pulsed through the item, prompting a rather noteworthy shift in the item they held. Instead of a cane, they now held a rather occult-looking staff. From the center, a pulsing of bright green fire persisted, almost like that of an eternal flare. "If fighting doesn't prove to be your forte," they spoke, "then don't feel the need to do so. Not worth losing your life over my issues. Though, might I ask your name?" As they finished speaking, Saburō held their hand close to the fire on their staff.

Drawing some of the fire away from the staff, and redirecting it toward the ground in front of the two of them, the shape of the molded fire quickly circled around the ground, before revolving fast enough to appear like a portal of sorts. Shortly thereafter, a lesser-being - an imp - emerged from the portal before them. "Yeehehehe! Free at last!" As the small creature took a look around, Saburō immediately glared over them, resulting in their immediate straightening out. "Eep! Whatcha need?"

"Simple; that needs to die." Pointing to the now-revealed Saika that walked from the smoke, Saburō made their goal known. After receiving an order, the small creature nodded its comically-large head, the creature and Saburō simultaneously conjured and fired two small bolts of felfire to hurl at the demon in front of the two.

[Scarlet]

This was starting to get even more weird than just the other day, how could some old guy make things more weird than literally fighting a mummified monster to the death. Hikari really had no clue how she was feeling this way right now, but she knew it was how she was feeling especially when she heard the remarks of the man about what she assumed to be the dog. “What’s Hanami? Did you name the fog?” She’d heard his remarks about his movements, but decided it wasn’t worth responding about right now.

What was really strange though was the fact she knew this guy wasn’t crazy so that possibility went out the window. The proof of his strange actions came with the voice that didn’t say much from the inside of the fog. What it did say though was enough that Hikari really had to question what was real and whether or not she really was just in some sort of really really long dream. When with the guy near her now and turning to face the fog himself Hikari wasn’t sure, just in a state of disbelief.

She’d seen that monster at the temple, along with another monster like it that had a white mask on its face, but its body was completely different. She’d also seen a big man dressed in black that used a sword to kill the one monster. She hadn’t seen anything like what the man did now though. The cane that he used to help himself move glee bright green like it was producing light and then its shape changed. This really was something out of a movie or a story yet it was happening right in front of her. None of this made any sense

“Are you a wizard? Shaman?”

Hikari saw the green fire that was coming off the . . . staff? Whatever the cane had turned into now it was like a big candle. Looking like he was ready to face off in a major fight. Going with the flow right as this guy gave her the advice Hikari moves her left hand up behind her back pulling out her ax. Although it was warm outside right now there wasn’t any other reason to wear her bulky coat then to hide the weapon she refused not to have on her after the temple.

“You don’t look like someone that can turn away help. Besides, what kind of person doesn’t help the elderly. Ejiri, want to fill me in on who’s looking to claim this bounty?”

Weird weird and more strange. Green fire, changing the shape of things and now Hikari watched the green flames move around a bit and out popped a fairy. Moving her right hand up she smacks her cheek enough to knock her out of a daze. Nothing changed though so she just had to look at the man after he gave this thing its order. “I thought fairies were supposed to be cute.” Although Hikari wasn’t going to rush into the fog for obvious reasons she was ready to rush in and swing on anything that’d try to get this old man.

"In a sense, yes," they answered her, "the technique that brought about that fog is named Hanami. I'll show you after this is finished." As they finished speaking, they simply prepared for war. Following through with the same set of actions as previously described, the bolts of green flame shot forward from both Saburō and their imp, striking true against the Saika that had decided to crawl out of hell.

With a piercing shout of agony, the hellish combatant stumbled fully out of the smog, thick and heavy chains rattling about on their person and clanging against the pavement. "Such insolence!" the rather burly-looking, musclebound Saika shouted, "you shall pay for your words with your life!" As they trailed off with their words, the hellion immediately began to move. Sprinting toward the group, he aimed to grab on to whomever he could. Both wouldn't have a difficult time piecing together the rather noteworthy physical strength that presented itself from the hellion.

Once again back to hobbling out of the way, Saburō used their staff as a sort of walking stick in order to steer clear from the monster that had been coming their way. The last thing that they had wanted was to take a direct hit from this thing; they'd break in a matter of seconds against something like that. No, instead they'd pull forth another being from the abyss in order to take care of the situation for them; hopefully in a much better fashion than they'd otherwise be capable of doing.

As another portal opened up beneath their feet, and from the ashes burst forth another demon; this one, much more physically-inclined as well. Hopefully it would prove to be enough to hold the Saika as necessary in order to better deal with the situation as possible. Though, such provoked quite a hearty laugh from the Saika as he continued to charge forward. "Pathetic! Unable to fight for yourself, human?" Unwilling to give into the taunts, Saburō simply turned to face the girl.

"Saburō Shimada; pleasure to meet you, Ejiri. I'll answer all of your questions here in a bit; let's make sure the two of us are safe first, though, shall we?" Giving her a simplistic smile, Saburō leaned against their staff as their demons put in the work to fight for them. If anyone took a glance toward the fire currently in Saburō's staff, it'd appear rather dim, compared to what it could otherwise be. Perhaps a measure of their prowess?

Sure enough however, the Saika eventually arrived. Colliding immediately with the larger demon, the two immediately locked grasps with one another, aiming to push one another over. "You shall approach no closer!" the conjured demon shouted tightening a crushing grip around the Saika's fingers, "not while I remain bound here!" As they finished shouting, the smaller imp once again slung another bolt of fire toward the Saika, prompting another shout.

“A technique?”

A technique to Hikari was a certain physical movement always meant to deliver specific damage or reaction from an opponent. Something that can conjure up fog though was something otherworldly. Shaking her head slightly horizontally Hikari attempts to really focus her mind on the situation she had put herself in now. This time she hadn’t come to the problem seeking it out, but she’d found something all the same and like she told the old man just a moment ago she wasn’t going to be the type of person that’d leave him.

Her body was already in pain and damaged from the monster that she’d fought at the temple, her stubborn nature though was as tough as iron and would bend just as easily. The entity that came next from the fog was one she could only describe as a giant from an eighties action movie. Either way though they’re wasn’t much time between this one showing itself and the old man conjuring up another creature. This one seemed different than the little fairy and just like that it was off.

“Stay back then Shimada-sama.”

A physical clash between the two of them that Hikari could see right away wasn’t going to end up in their favor. It was like watching a sumo match with a lot less fluff and skin. Wasting no time now that she could see the problem though Hikari rushes forward moving to the right side of the enemy, with her ax held predominantly in her left hand. Staying close to the buildings instead of the road seemed like the best choice. Turning on her side Hikari delivered a horizontal swing with her full strength in the hopes of cleaving into the side of this thing’s right knee.

Although she couldn’t see inside the fog at the moment she knew she was much closer to it now then the old man. She was putting herself at risk just because she saw a problem. That’s what she wanted to do though with her life and this wasn’t anything different. Someone was in trouble and she had the power to help them. Another ball of fire smacking against the adversary inside the fog once again. Enough that Hikari would try to pull her ax back immediately and then follow up with another swing at the same spot.

"With pleasure," they spoke, responding to Scarlet's words as they took a few movements back. Taking a short moment to breathe on their own, it seemed that the girl was going to take advantage of the Saika's currently precarious situation. As the larger demon held on to their hands, the redheaded girl decided to take a chop at the Saika's knee.

As he axe smashed through bone, the hellion let out quite the howl as he had immediately lost his balance. Pulling the blade from the Saika's knee, and hammering the blade in once more, it seemed that she'd cleaved directly through the Hellion's leg with relative ease. As he dropped down about a foot due to a newly-lost limb, the larger demon decided to make a strike of his own.

Slamming his own skull into the Saika's with a loud cry, the large demon simply let go of the hellion and took a quick step back. Waiting for an order from Saburō, the demon held its position while the Saika simply rested on a knee, dazed from the strikes. Shortly thereafter, a similarly loud shout echoed from the ex-Akki, commanding the demon to act. "Now!"

With that, the demon slammed its fist into the Saika's head, pulverizing it with a relatively simple blow. As the hellion's mask shattered in the process, and vicious hands shot from the ground beneath it, the Saika had been dragged back into Hell with a noticeably flashy display. "Hooray!" the Imp shouted, "We did it! The funny guy is dead!"

Chuckling to themselves, Saburō once again shuffled back over toward their newfound ally. "An excellent display of power," they spoke, their words genuine, "where'd you learn to use an axe like that?" Giving the girl time to respond if she desired to take it, they'd simply address what she said afterward. For now, though, they owed her some answers.

"As promised before, you do deserve some answers. I am no wizard, nor am I a shaman; I'm what's known as a Fullbringer. Someone that commands the 'souls' of all things; both living and inanimate. I previously existed down in Hell, after having spent many a millennia ruling over the underworld with an iron fist. Since then, it seems that one of my... 'compatriots', has decided that I don't have the luxury of leaving. Hence why you saw that now-dead individual try to fight."

Rushing to the side and swinging her ax, Scarlet was relieved although stayed focused when she felt the edge of her ax dig through the body of this monster. This one was different from the two monsters that she’d seen with the white masks. This one didn’t have a mask of white instead just looking like something out of a movie. Her ax bit deep enough that she knew a normal person would be screaming in the ground unable to continue while more than likely being crippled. It wasn’t something she’d ever do to an actual person though, without really thinking about it Scarlet was already starting to disassociate these monsters she kept seeing from people.

Pulling her ax out from the flesh she felt a bit of resistance, the body of this thing was tough and it felt just as like trying to pull the weapon from a nice thick piece of wood. After an additional moment and some extra elbow grease it came free and then was brought right back. Scarlet though wasn’t expecting to take the entire leg right off, something that while shocking to her wasn’t the main issue. The main problem now was all the blood that just came pouring out from the wound drenching the sidewalk, her shoes and pants. A disgusting result from her reckless attack and one she wouldn’t soon forget.

She heard the old man shout next and then hopped back a couple times until her back touched the side of the nearest building. Roughly five feet away and she watched as the monster she had just crippled was overpowered and then defeated? “Wait what just happened?” Scarlet spoke out loud, not even addressing the Shimada-sama. She’d seen arms reach up and drag the monster into the ground and then the ground just . . . went back to normal like it’d never been there. This was different than the other times, what was going on!

That’s when she heard the voice of the fairy again and her attention was stripped away from the now vacation section of the sidewalk and the fog. Scarlet with a shocked and confused expression just looked at Shimada-sama for the answers that he was about to give her. “My father taught me most of what I can do. Now what’s going on here?” What she heard him say though just made that expression disappear into one of just defeated disbelief.

“All things have souls. . . I’m fighting things from Hell? . . . there is a Hell. . . You’re Lucifer aren’t you?”

"Take a minute to process if you need to," Saburo chuckled, "don't force yourself to regurgitate all of this information all at once. It can be... a lot to take in, to say the least. If you've any questions, I'm here to answer them." As they finished speaking, it seemed that Scarlet did have one to ask; one that provoked a hearty laugh from the imp.

"No, nothing like that; I served beneath Lucifer for a time, but I was never the 'big man' himself. I did get rather close to him, though." Smiling, Saburō did what they could to try to gauge a reaction from the girl. Anything really would've worked; it didn't particularly matter to them what that reaction was. Perhaps shock? Surprise? Something.

"Also, judging from your previous response, I'm guessing you're unfamiliar with the term 'Fullbringer'? If nothing else you do show to be a level of spiritually-aware; you've proven you can... 'see ghosts', as Humans tend to put it, and even went as far as to actively engage with one with that weapon of yours. You might have a little more to yourself than you think."

Saburō took a moment to ponder on that fact. Perhaps this girl was some kind of Fullbringer? Hell, maybe even a Quincy, or a Bount instead. It was hard to say, but regardless of what the fact of the matter was, they were certainly curious to find out. Though, that could've waited for a time a bit more better-suited for that conversation. For the time being, they were soon to have bigger problems on their hands.

[Scarlet]

This just didn’t make any sense, the possibility of the afterlife was always something that Scarlet was open to believing although she never really thought about it a lot. The mere mention of something like Hell being an actual option, Scarlet felt like her body was under an immense amount of weight. It almost was like a panic attack waiting to happen with the exception that she didn’t start to breath rapidly. This wasn’t any break in her religion and it was confirmation that one of the possibilities was in fact a reality, at the same time though she was learning the worst possible place was real.

The only thing that really snapped her out of the disbelief that was ruling over her at Kenny was the sound of laughing. That sound was almost like someone just shoved her physically to rip her attention away from her current emotions. What she learned though just cemented the actions of her life even more so than they were already although the cement may be cracked now. She’d always wanted to be a decent person, always tried to help others and it had been for no other reason than that’s what she had wanted, to be like her father.

Now there was a consequence and the actions she took as a person now may be no longer pure but selfish. Something that he'd have to really dig deep and figure out and hope and pray that she found an answer. “So Lucifer is real? Then why are we even here?” Scarlet didn’t waste any time though, placing her right hand up to her face. “This is just some generic movie. He stays in the background because it’s more fun. He doesn’t end anything because then there's nothing for him to do.” When Shimada-San started to speak again Scarlet was slow to respond, her body language already appearing as someone slipping into instability.

As if that wasn’t enough though, Shimada-sana kept telling her more and more that he was a demon once, for a long time. So many different revelations that Scarlet just couldn’t process. It was almost like her thoughts skipped over what she had just been told about the man she’d come to help. “What’s a Fullbringer? Wait what are you saying? That was just some monster like the things with white masks. What’s going on and how come I’ve only been seeing this stuff recently!”

[Saburō Shimada]

As the girl seemed to be losing her grip over the situation - much like they had, millennia ago - Saburō simply stood by for her to straighten herself out. It wasn't their place to do something to calm her down, nor did they have the vested interest in doing so; it was a reality that she'd have to face soon enough, and ripping that band-aid off early was always going to be a better solution in their eyes. As she spoke, commenting on Lucifer, Saburō nodded their head.

"Worry not," they started, "your existence still has purpose. Simply put, focus on the journey, and not the destination. If you can't do that? Then simply do what you can in order to remain a 'good person'. Worst case scenario, if you end up down there, seek me out; I've no problem letting you know how I escaped." Chuckling to themselves, Saburō did what they could to try and lighten the mood. Not just for their sake, but for Scarlet's as well.

"You've absolutely nailed it, to a degree," they started saying again after she spoke, "Lucifer is actually incapable of leaving Hell, at the moment. Permanently bound there by the Spirit King - the one that you mortals tend to refer to as a God. You needn't fear invoking any sort of wrath from him." Mumbling under their breath, Saburō spoke another short set of words. "I'd worry more about the Shinigami."

As the conversation continued, and eventually drifted toward Saburō's past, they left no hesitation in explaining themselves and where they'd been. Once she'd finished her little shouting, Saburō held their hand out toward the ground beside them. "A simple way to think of Fullbringers would be as telekinetics. Simply put, everything has a soul. You do, I do, hell, even this concrete does. Fullbringers are able to tap into those souls in order to will them to do rather extraordinary things."

Through the use of Soul Command, they began to manipulate the soul of the concrete beneath them, willing it to raise from the ground. As a chunk of pavement began to rip from the ground, and rise around next to Saburō, they closed their hand in order to force the slab to compress itself into a "ball" of sorts. "Through what we call 'Soul Command', it's possible to will those souls to move as you desire; whether for convenience, weaponization, you name it and it's likely possible."

Allowing the ball of concrete to hit the ground once more, Saburō took the time to lean back against their staff for the time being. "One thing to know, though; exposure to the spiritual world tends to lead to your own spiritual awakening in suit. There's a very good chance that you could end up being a Fullbringer as well, Ejiri. All it takes is just a matter of time. Explains why you've been seeing those masked monsters as well. We tend to call those Hollows; a 'hollow' shell of the souls that have lingered in this world for too long, without passing onto the next. Ever heard of poltergeists? Other kinds of 'vengeful spirits'? More often than not, those are going to be Hollows."

[Scarlet]

This was something that Scarlet just couldn’t seem to hurdle over at the moment which Shimada-sama thankfully didn’t seem to think was anything other than natural. What he said next didn’t really help her mentally or emotionally, but the last part did snap her attention a little. Suddenly her gaze would be locked on Shimada-sama. “You’ve been to Hell. You were a leader in Hell.” Scarlet didn’t speak her question, but the look on her face would be one Shimada-sama would be able to read right away. How can she trust him?

The concept of someone sentenced to Hell being human once again. This wasn’t something that Scarlet would have ever pondered as a possibility. Everything that she’d ever heard, everything that she knew about the afterlife whether it be the Underworld or Hell, it was a final sentence. Once sent there it was all over so how could someone escape? If Shimada-sama was what he had told her then why was he so far just a typically decent person? Pieces of this puzzle just didn’t match together for Scarlet although she already knew before today that she knew far too little about what she’d gotten into.

Learning about what a Fullbringer happened to be was interesting although she was more than flustered at the moment. “Telekinesis is when you move things with your mind right?” Scarlet could remember a few shows and books that had characters with such a power although it always seemed like something she’d hate. Something for the people that always were one step ahead, the type that could think calming in any situation. Those that couldn’t rely on their own body to fight. Although the way Shimada-sama described this Soul Command it seemed a little different.

It was almost like being able to give the very ground orders that it would then follow without her needing to do anything like picture what she wanted or focus on it throughout its action. Moving the cement upwards without really moving his body at all, Scarlet watched as it morphed into a sphere shape only to then fall back to the sidewalk. It was something interesting although Shimada-sama made it sound like she may be something different then a Fullbringer like him.

The monsters with the white masks like the one at the temple, Shkmada-sama said we’re called Hollows and then explained why. “So pretty much every haunting story is either a Hollow or something from Hell like we just fought? If they are true at all. Is there any way to know what I am?” Scarlet was starting to calm down now making sure to focus on the topic directly in front of her. All she wanted to know now was what she had turned into because it sounded like just making contact with that soul at the temple changed her.

“What is a Shinigami?”

Almost a minute after her last question Shimada-sama would be able to feel another entity peeling the veil between the worlds apart, slipping through the barrier of the words. A reiatsu signature that wasn’t hidden at all blazing right away out in the open. An entity much stronger than the last two that wouldn’t go down nearly as easy. “So it’s true then. You’ve thrown away your power, become an insult to your memory. For the first time I’ll provide kindness. Killing the current you for the true you Orobas!”

Nodding their head along with Scarlet's words, Saburō simply acknowledged their position as a previous leader of hell. It wasn't exactly something they reflected on with a negative mindset, just one that happened to be a life they used to lead. There was no sense in pondering on something that simply wasn't the case anymore.

As the conversation continued on, and Saburō eventually went into talk about Fullbringers, and what they were, they continued to speak on the matter. "That'd be correct," they spoke, confirming Scarlet's thoughts, "and Fullbringers tend to hold... a level of similarity with them. While there's certainly overlap, a Fullbringer is much, much more than just some simple telekinetic." Continuing on with the demonstration, Saburō did what they could to prove their words as truth.

Nodding with the girl's words once more, Saburō did what they could to further agree with the girl about what was truth and what wasn't. "That's correct, though most of the time that tends to be caused by Hollows; Hellions escaping like what seems to be the case now is a rather... special case. It's not something that tends to happen very often. Regarding you, however, if your abilities are not genetic, then there's a good chance that you could be awoken to the spiritual world as a Fullbringer like I am. If nothing else, I'm not against aiding you on that journey."

Giving her a soft smile, Saburō did what they could to remain cordial with the girl. After all, revealing themselves as a being of Hell wasn't exactly the most tactful thing they could've done, nor did it set a good reputation with Scarlet. Something that they'd only further press as she asked about Shinigami; "They're quite vile beings. Individuals that claim to know the difference between souls that belong down in Hell, and those that deserve to cross over; no being should hold that power, in my opinion."

As they finished speaking, it seemed that another being from hell had decided to crawl its way from the depths, threatening the ex-Akki as they did so. "Gods," they started, "another example of an individual that thinks they have a say over where someone belongs. What say you help me tear this one down much like before, Ejiri?" Smirking, Saburō pointed their staff toward the demon in an attempt to goad them further.
