Learning as much as she was Hikari felt like she was back in school again, learning this that felt heavier than then of course, but underprepared as always. The only thing she ever prepared for her was learning to be a firefighter, right now this sort of stuff seemed like the things to be written down. That’s when it clicked for her, making sure to hold her ax by the middle of the shaft with her left hand horizontally parallel to the sidewalk. Hikari takes out her cellphone and opens up the notepad. Her fingers moving across the screen as someone with far too much practice can accomplish.
Jotting down brief summaries of everything that she’d been told so far while trying to be as respectful to Shimada-sama as possible. “More than a telekinetic. What can be . . . wait, you're phrasing it like there’s other possibilities. What else is there? What else looks like a human?” Hikari’s voice rose once again in a panic-like manner as she realized that Shimada-sama had only told her there was the possibility that she was something called a Fullbringer. That meant there had to be other things that looked normal, what else was living around her?
What she learned next though from Shimada-sama’s input on Hollows was that certain things could be passed on through genetics. A strange little thing in regards to the afterlife in Hikari’s eyes. Some families are just born with the ability to interact, to have powers, how could something like that happen? How did it all start? What made them different? So many questions moved throughout her mind that Hikari didn’t realize this was the first time a subject really grabbed her curiosity with the exception of her dreams.
What she was told about Shinigami didn’t sit well with her, it all made sense how Shimada-sama said it. Hikari had to agree that just one group having say over something like that wasn’t fair, at the same time with what she knew it sounded like Shinigami were Angels. If Lucifer was indeed real didn’t that mean that the religion of his faith was right? So how could Shinigami be anything else? Otherwise they were reapers, ferrymen of souls. She could feel pain in her head as the weight of all the information encumbers her mind.
It was only when the voice of someone new made its way to her drums that Hikari’s mind snapped back several moments later. A splitting migraine was already in formation and the fiery young woman knew that she couldn’t ask anything more now. Whether this problem had gotten here now or not, she just wasn’t the sort that could handle everything. Whether it be now or later she was determined to find answers although she had a feeling it was going to take awhile to process everything. Right now though she had to handle this problem.
“It’ll hurt others if we don’t send it back now, so no need to ask.”
Out from the fog that was nearly gone now though came what looked like a very fit man of height, wrapped in a cloak as dark as the night sky. A hood that hides the details of his face with the only thing of sight being eyes of crimson. Hikari can see right away though this demon was different yet the same, the same heavy, thick chains clung to his body. Taking her attention right from the start though was a sword held in his right hand, bigger than her as. Just like that he was on her swinging that sword horizontally to her left.
Raising her guard up Hikari feels the heavy impact against the shaft of her ax as her feet skid across the sidewalk. Pushing against the sword, Hikari’s plan of attack is simple, change the angle and swing. His sword will go down while her ax can strike at his head! “WHORE!” Shouted in her face by the demon yet before Hikari can even register the insult the physical impact of the word itself knocks her backwards off her feet to the sidewalk. The letters themselves leave the mouth of the demon as some sort of projectile.
While on her back Hikari does her best to shake off what just happens to get back on her feet quickly knowing that at any moment she was going to get stabbed by the massive sword. Right there though he was just standing there looking at her and then he’d pop with a deafening noise. Hikari had landed on the sidewalk, her eyes closing instinctively and she’d missed the moment when the Saika had executed Odoroki, accelerating his movement speed enough to close the distance between himself and his real threat.
Moving fast enough to vanish to the two lesser demons this one would appear in front of the little fairy one that liked to throw fire. His left arm moving forward with his entire arm engulfed in crimson red flames. Just like that the little demon would be struck in the chest as flames rush at the moment of impact resulting in an explosion of flames for a moment. In the next though the right hand holding his sword is swung horizontally out at Shimada from a veil of smoke with the intent to take his head back to the garden of destruction.
